never read the right book and was terrible at this book I really Su je book club I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual I just had a visual I proud of it look what the puppy Dragged In Me who who little old me RTV I am so excited to be here at 420 with you I did not even know you were G to come here always such a gentle surprise since we have so many events on Cave Cod I keep a little running list and um last night we'll talk about it but yeah I had an amazing concert that I went to and then when it was done I was like no do I sleep or do I just drive to the cave I'm like I'm driving to the cave so at 1: am here I am you are wild and we're going to go over that story for sure but first off I got to talk about the fact that we're here at Cape Cog cannabis it's Wellfleet if you're wondering where we are I know there was a snafu with our events calendar and for whatever reason someone was like where is Cape C cannabis well Fleet that is where it is absolutely and uh it's right next to the baker it's right next to the liquor store you got your uh post office if you need to go but honestly it's 420 yeah that's where you need to be it's here 46 State Highway right on Route six so it's it's in wle it's right before that little curve and everybody knows is pbro it's right right next to the this area and where cave Cod cannabis is located they have a great great store I love it a bunch of like both merchandise and so many different products and companies that I've never even heard of yeah the variety is really good I know that everybody gets their areas cannabis and stuff that they like and their go-tos yeah absolutely for sure but um when you need a little variety and to see something a little bit new I feel like cap C cannabis for the last three years this is their anniversary by the way and I've gotten to celebrate all of them with them so I just love this store fourth year this is their third oh their third third anniversary I know it'll be fourth year in business like tomorrow but going into their fourth year so lemon Ado and Cap Cod cannabis were kind of like coming out at the same time yeah so we were like hey I got your back you got mine and they have had mine a lot more than I've had theirs I'll tell you that um this store is really wonderful Morgan who is a fouth lifelong Falmouth resident is now living in wle and works here okay um and it's her day off and where is she here with her mom with her dad with her dog um it's the third person that I've seen here that is not working today but they're here that is here so that can talk to the culture of a company for sure of a great workplace AB it really does and I mean yeah it's it's a great place hey how are you and I want to give a big shout out to Lee who stopped by here today and she was like where's the Chapstick um really really sorry this was like the best place to give out our chapstick because it has like this just certain consistency either way I left on the cter oh yeah on the counter at home a lot of good there hey Dan Chase thanks for joining us somewhere in Middle America there is Dan Chase is it legal in the state that you are currently living in I'm just curious I don't know you don't get to smell all the lovely smells we get to smell in the true in the room here the showroom so I've got some um products that are empty mind you but coast curious about the mushroom Taco I am too but I wasn't curious enough to curious enough to order not today no I went win chicken I'm a big chicken that's it I love it uh their food is really fantastic and she does a great job dancing spoons food truck I don't know why I just want to go right to danc yes and if you purchase today you get a token here that's uh good for $10 off the food truck which down the fort over at the soldout chili Fest so it they had um some issues this morning as eversource was working to restore power to the rest of the building oh uh they had enough to be able to get the the party started well that's good um just uh ladies if you're going make sure you bring a flashlight because I there's no lights in the ladies room I'm sure they're handling it that's funny I love that thank God it was my husband though if it was me I'd be like well that's it we're all going to die the end of days that's it for the 15th thousandth time he's just the one that's going to run the extension cords and find out where there is power and make sure that everything is properly running so I think we made the right choice on the split here for our day I just see him as like Christmas vacation with the plug going good morning Cliff who is currently watching us from chili Fest I can I actually throw it to you can I bring you on the video I'm going to send you a request to check in from chili Fest to see what's going on I asked a request even if you can open it up and flip around the camera to share it with us I would love for you to be able to do so just to show the challenges and I'm sure you've got big waves going on over there so we've got Coast cannabis which is here you can come and uh see what they've got they've always Reinventing their stock and changing said is limited supplies so if they run out they run out and I've got to tell you since I walked in this door at about 10:45 this morning it has been a Non-Stop conveyor belt of people yep yep and uh for the pre-rolls the $1 ones there's uh four to choose from four different types nice yeah yeah which is great oh good A little variety absolutely so you're not just stuck with this whatever they have you and I were talking about how great capecod cannabis is about showing their varieties of products I'm showcasing Wana here just because I love showcasing female owned businesses see and that's very important there is a very specific Choice here that was made when I was peeling off the empty boxes off of the wall huh the I love the I love the wanas um yeah I love that one and the the the go to sleep ones too are my girlfriend's absolute favorite it was very funny when I was coming here today so I've got two girlfriends that were like I pre-ordered it here's the cash go pick it up on your way home I was bursting out laughing but you know what yeah that's fine here's the variety they like it's true and there's a lot of the ones I've seen or other people that I know use for bedtime and then there's some other ones I haven't seen so I was like oh wow that's great it amazes me that there are still people out there that are a little bit nervous to put themselves out and try something to make yourself feel better right I know that my knees Creak and my body aches when I don't use CBD and a lot of people don't understand that CBD doesn't work without a little bit of THC somewhere so it just amplifies what you're doing with your CBD and and here at cap C cannabis they have this lovely sheet that they um give you that tells you the difference between THC CBD CBG and what those properties help assist with which is great so when you're looking for a product you kind of want to see if you want something that's primarily that or has a combination of some things yeah that's what I love about it and they're also when you're ordering on their chaos they'll highlight specific uh not just the product or the or the company but the specific type like um flavor what have you that's the most popular yeah you know a lot of other places don't do stuff like that well because they are really knowledgeable and they really do spend a lot of time educating their Bud tenders and their staff that work here they're really interchangeable and they've got a ton of staff on right now to make sure that you're getting the time that you need to sit and select because it can be overwhelming when you're like I don't know what to buy I've not stepped into this journey you can see the everchanging menu that's happening behind us right now on the TV screen they're constantly adding new stuff and um some better wellness products as well um when you said CBG it was one of the things that I sat here and I spent probably about a half an hour going over the the medicinal qualities for CBG as far as like your gut health yes and just talking about stuff so this is not just I want to get stoned this is like wellness products to make yourself feel better and they'll sit there and really make sure that you're buying the right products that are for you Hi how are you I mean it's the evolution of the Cannabis industry yeah it's really and shopping and also I want to let people know like if you've never done it or come to a cannabis shop um don't feel overwhelmed definitely look around when you get to the electronic kiosk you can filter all different things and just set up a shopping cart and then when you're done and you submit it when you get to um checking out you can still continue to have that conversation and make a Jud and make adjustments to what you might want or might not want yeah you can take it off the menu put it back on um and that's one of the things I love about here is they're they're um it's it's a it's a conversation well and that they they love what they do they're not ready to rush you out the door so if you want want to learn about TPS if you want to learn about stuff or you're too embarrassed to talk to somebody about it or you're like exhausted on the internet because there's just too much bad misinformation out there this is the place to come yeah definitely come and and hang out um and have a conversation with some of the people that work here because they're they're pretty fantastic and they really do care about you getting the right thing for you exactly uh you had quite the world one of an evening last night I did I mean I I couldn't sleep cuz I had a presentation at work uh at 1:00 which I thought was noon I was really ready for it um so I was up this uh yesterday morning about 5:00 a.m. worked a full day did the presentation took care of Rocco did a quick 40-minute power nap then I had got packed in the car in case I decided to come to Cave Cod after the concert concert started late um I went to go see Matt R there's my VIP pass of course I did the VIP experence a lanyard day um where your lanyards everybody um but after the concert we um part of the VIP experience was a a one-on-one uh photo shoot with him so I just downloaded I saw the photo photo which is great and we had a really nice conversation because I got to tell him like I've been following you I loved your Netflix show one was focused on his grandfather I was really touched by he's like oh my God he's like thank and he was so appreciative it was a wonderful conversation my least favorite comic but I do understand him as a person I was just I was very impressed and the The Crowd Oh my God yeah you weren't impressed I wasn't I know the ladies like him but don't get so any brium where you're trying to dominate his attention he was he was a professional and he he had some skills on how to avoid all of that I don't know why it is that you find yourself in spaces with obnoxious women I got to tell you that watch stage shows back when Rich and I went to go see Rock and Roll Hall of Fame we had drunk ladies behind us spilling drinks on our backs and I almost text you I was in the third Road center of the orchestra and in the front row was this man with this woman and she had you know the the diamonds or whatever on her high heel shoes she had the quaffed blonde hair that was all over the place not as big as teruto but they was pretty big and I'm like oh my God I almost texted you said Jersey is in the house you know I'm just I hope she doesn't throw up or just become really obnoxious so you were in the crowd with a bunch of middle-aged white women that were obsessed with Matt Rice ing over him drunk screaming about my boyfriend of 18 years has been cheating on me the whole time and I'm like we don't care sit down and at one point he did tell her and another woman to sit down stop and he was really great about he had to do crowd work for obnoxious wom absolutely and people were cheering I mean it's like let him do a show you were an embarrassment to us it was mostly women at that show was it not yes yeah I was gonna say going to see a Matt R show would scream to me middle-aged women and Rich yeah there you go because there's not a huge gay I don't think there's a huge gay following for him which is fine but I find that really surprising I you know given his bone structure listen he's been in La he's had a lot of work done do you think that his com he admitted it not having work done but that he's he's had to has his comedy show changed he didn't redo the Netflix in fact you know because I mean and he also thank Boston because his first tour his first performance live in a theater was at the Wilbur a year ago oh cool good morning Gloria thanks for joining us and he thanked everybody in Boston for coming back um and he's learned so much and he's been working on material and he's he's thankful to everybody for you know responding in whether it's positive or negative it's been helping him build his his repertoire and to change his show well because he got slayed by the media a lot of different and issues say what you want about Matt r i don't like his comedy but I don't disrespect his art and his craft and what he's done for his own brand I think is really incredible that he decided to take it upon himself go through YouTube and basically self-promote and take all of that money himself without signing bad deals with horrible people I think that the industry is really shifting in that respect where people are taking a chance on themselves to throw themselves out there yes so I do love him in the respect of you know you're taking control of your Artistry and your craft and putting yourself out there but he definitely had to do something different than that Netflix special that got him all but cancelled but he ref used to be cancelled and I think that that's such a 2024 story if you allow it to be cancelling then you are allowing it but if you don't you don't that's it I also got to tell him I was really I was happy for him for being you know doing a show and being part of the lineup with Dave Chappelle yeah I'm like I love Dave Chappelle and I told him about my experience with him um and it's true I mean we're we're learning all the stuff about the entertainment industry and we're learning things like what Taylor Swift did you know and the off her new album throwing Kim Kardashian other a bus if you've not listened to it her name is Amy now and I love it Jackie no it's not but she says hi both have fun yes hi it is and Nate says what a crew there you go no I'm actually sober which is not not fun on a Saturday but you know some of us have to work I went to Liz's Cafe I didn't even have a cocktail or even coffee I just have water right little omelet somebody I was at the gym yesterday and Jillian over at quent shout out to my ladies over there and she's like how are you going to make it I'm like I'm psycho to begin with on nothing yeah I don't need added extra anything to be this way I'm already just jazzed yeah it seem like I'm getting used to doing this because I remember like what was it a year or two ago when I drove directly from New Jersey all the way up here showered real quick went to tea dance right and then had the rest of the evening I think we get was getting together with you it's like last night finishing finishing the meet and greet and having a great Photoshop with Matt and then 1:00 driving here the only thing is I was short on gas I had just enough to get oh that's scary but I did the search and all these places said it was open pump is shut up pump is shut off I'm like oh my God that is a scary part about driving to province toown in the middle of the night you're like what is gonna be open all right it's 44 miles away and I got 55 M 54 miles left of gas totally Diana hi to you my friend and I will be bring you back a treat on Monday I promise um you're going to have to stay a little bit later on Monday we have some homework it's gonna be an empty bag you're you're gonna have to wait for your treat on Monday because uh we're we're working on a new game dos is always our test ground for new stuff and we've got a new game that we've been working on so we're it might be ready on Monday you might have to wait an extra week but I saw um oh is it the Family Feud I the Family Feud is fun that's a good saw a picture of that and I'm like that was really cool when I saw the picture did it look real like a stage performance Shout to my husband who's always doing I can make that how about that I'm right on top of that road right he really is though where it's me it's like false hustle I'm working on it I am not I maybe in a year I don't know we'll see what happens the problem with my brain is it has a it has a queue and if it's in the line to get done it's in the line I can't move it up I can't rearrange things it's just in the queue when it's ready it's ready can't get a welder to get just a little no one at a time get in the line this is how I work no cutting no God no throw everything all off I'm gonna have to start all over again there are a few that have died in line so they just step over and then they further on you what's going on Don how are you how is uh the West Coast 420 slide how are you guys doing and that's she said that's when you go hair up rings on and despite and see M said oh Nate's gonna take a TR to a trip to lro Pennsylvania for Steelers training camp good for you buddy cool he I'm just really proud of you you're having an amazing year a banner year we're wrapped up at Cape Cod Community College for this semester I get a little bit of a break um but they also get a little of a break and I know that they are still gonna continue doing their shows even when they're not at school cool so kind of like here at Cape Cod cannabis where I feel like the workers who are not working are currently still working she hasn't left yet and by the way lat trobe is where Rolling Rock Beer is it's not great but it's not bad the green bottle beer a green bottle beer I have is do you have anything like that that you don't like no because when I'm at the bar it's a Rolling Rock which a lot of the bars don't even stock anymore and then I gotta go to Bud Light because again I'm not looking to have a beer you know flavor experience I'm just out it tastes different day also at the Wave Bar they're doing something um if you decide you don't want to do a full show you can just go out and hang out and I think Tommy y who is the video DJ there is going to be doing some great stuff a lot of places are starting to open up it's April this is when everybody starts uh cleaning up the cobwebs and getting ready for the for the tour season and and the summer season if you come here um in the summer the restaurants are are starting to bloom and it's great I'm looking forward to some of the restaurants in fact uh I'm a big Province Town thing so I'm Sor sorry if I'm focusing too much on it but Front Street open opened last Friday a wonderful Italian restaurant um today for 420 at 4:20 p.m. thebrass key which is a guest house they're they're having a big opening um inside a kind of cocktail Gathering which will be really nice they have a outdoor area that has some fire pits uh and indoors they have a nice little Lounge um it's a guest house but they they have this like kind of small bar at the brass key oh nice so they're doing something at 420 you see Kevin Kevin on the um know misconception he's I'm so excited Cong congratulations he's engaged getting married um having a ceremony in October of 2025 down in por I'm very excited for you you guys look so happy yeah honestly you're just like two wonderful beams of light so it's magnanimous that you're together and the accolades of the Palm Cabaret is getting and and how they were so warm and welcoming to misconception and Kevin it was it's it's been I've been so happy for him I know shows lined up overseas again like finally like happening again it's like oh God pandemic is finally over you know he move about he has wonderful sponsors them and Bry vacations you know he's doing another year here that's why she goes back to it annually well I would too I really I'm struggling right now because I didn't get any time off and I got a crazy schedule this week it's good stuff it's all POS positive stuff and we're you know raising money and we're starting the farmers market and great things that are happening on the cape if you are a visitor we really are excited for this season there's so much construction right now pack your patience this week has been brutal has like um they'll throw out oh yeah so and so my road was just shut off the other day really I had to like like Dukes of Hazard style dirt road to the rotary and then when I got there they're like no that's shut off you got to go all the way around didn't have to jump any Creek or anything yet close my car is like it's a baby she's not she can't reach that far ex like go faster I have it on the floor pedal to the floor seriously fun uh but we are getting ready on the cape for a really big summer season and it's just a little chaotic right now yeah speaking of cars and traffic though before I got I came here I stopped over at PB and uh I was leaving and this gentleman he was dying to talk to me so I had to roll down the window it's pouring rain he's like how do you like your countrymen and I'm like I love it and I gave him this whole laundry list and uh yeah he was trying to upgrade and he when I when I told him I had a manual transmission he was like I said but they don't make him anymore he was like oh his heart was crushed right it was just funny yeah but here we've got this line right now where it's 35 miles per hour for construction I hope that is completed in the next couple weeks no this is not how it works around here do you know this we know in two weeks May 3rd uh tea dance first tea dancece at the boat slip can you even imagine in two weeks I know that we've got listeners and visitors from all over the world that are watching us right now Don thank you so much for joining us from the
