"Enormous" Tuesday

foreign good morning to you it's enormous Tuesday Hank because we can't say we can't say that word anymore it's been bad nothing bad oh my gosh and I mean with the Mardi Gras celebrations that are getting a little um scary yes yes so that's what we are contending with at this moment in time so yeah enormous Tuesday it is yep I have to say the right word at the right time because God forbid you might for a chance I want to talk about the raw doll book Let's just peel this Band-Aid right now no more are you gonna see the word fat in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Matilda and that is just um two of the things that they're taking away is that word because they find a divisive I don't know why people just can't explain things to their kids is that what's going to be on the label now when we have to name everything how many calories that's enormous grams that's like okay and we're gonna get like enormous free I don't know I've said it the f word that's it enormous fruit the new f word yes it's an enormous free coffee creamer yeah enormous almost sounds like a worse word I agree it makes it sound larger good morning Mari we're celebrating um and if you're just joining us and you don't understand why I have a little hat on it is because it is enormous Tuesday otherwise known as Fat Tuesday but you can't say that formerly known as we have a new f word right put it on the list this grandma that had a taco hat on yeah and she just got out of the car with her daughter and her daughter's like I'm not going anywhere with you she's like it's Taco Tuesday I'm wearing the Hat you're wearing the Hat oh boy oh yes so hi it is Taco Tuesday but it's also Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday or enormous Tuesday right right together and and Mariana is getting ready to go to math camp Oh math Camp it is yes you can I can hear that too um and if I can hear it too it must be loud right yeah and uh this um February vacation she was invited to go to school every morning for math Camp well all right then I think she's a smatty well I'm excited for her I would not choose math Camp when I was a child but I'm glad that somebody out there knows math because I don't but they give them they give them breakfast they give them a big snack they get to go to the gym they're going to play soccer today that doesn't sound very math campy to me and they're gonna mess around with me math stuff I Bizarro world oh okay where she found friends that were exactly like Kramer George and Jerry but they were nice and they you know were excited to pay for things and be kind to each other so I just watched Pizarro Jerry that one was good last night you know what I think is one of the worst TV episodes of all time in terms of a finish the last Seinfeld that was just the very last one that's awful well I haven't re-watched it since I originally watched it I don't know how many years ago so maybe it'll be better the second time yeah right I'll let you know gosh that was awful I will let you know we started watching something else in subtitles last night good night Irene I was good to go how about how about the books you were reading last week that you didn't remember the titles of but you were halfway through both of them can't can't do it can't do it can't finish either one of them snow hair is one of them snow hair like like this white hair like snow air no like a rabbit it's not like a rabbit yeah I can't I okay I don't even understand that I know I know I found another like witchy one that is around out here that Lily told me to read so I'll probably read that looks like 150 Pages like I can get down with that what kind of one it's like a witch which oh that which is can we say that word I think I'm still allowed to say that it is a raw doll book that they are combing right now and they're getting rid of one of the witches scenes and which she uses a wig because that's offensive the way the vernacular that they were using in the book that's why it's enormous Tuesday today everyone oh my gosh you know folks oh thank you Laura loves my hat my Mardi Gras hat I'm not going to get political about this function no but God I'd love to say you know what this is just the flip side of what they're doing in Florida but I'm not going to say that because I'll get into trouble well you were just on one of those um neighbor boards there in Florida oh my gosh and tell everyone the things that people were asking on the nosy neighbors board so so on Facebook so we follow I follow a couple of um Facebook pages or whatever for Clearwater Florida which is where we go on vacation and I was just reading to Steph before before we went on the air someone posted on this one of these Clearwater beaches fun Pages or something I'm going to be there on Thursday with my kids what are some fun things to do this is Tuesday you're going to be there Thursday you've arranged a vacation with your kids and you're asking what to do my favorite was the lady asked if she needed a ticket to walk on the beach honest to God there was a post somewhat asking if you had to pay to walk the beach maybe it's I'm gonna give this person the benefit of the doubt maybe they're from the Midwest and they've never been to a beach or doesn't don't understand how it works I'm gonna give this person like you live in Middle America don't know how to deal with the beach maybe I need a ticket to get on the beach that's the only thing I can give them it's just it's just and and this stuff pops up all the time and it's the same questions over and over and over again where's the best hotel to stay I'm coming on my honeymoon I'll be there Monday where should I make a reservation that's that's that's quiet but close to the beach and all the restaurants what I just I just worry about my fellow human beings sometimes I don't think that there's any worry I think that they're just truly disturbing I've moved the Hat I think it's better where it is now oh okay it's less bothersome to my face all right well if you're not bothered then we're not thank you I we have to address the incident Mardi Gras they was a shooting they said it's an isolated incident five people were shot one is dead this is awful yeah it makes me sad when I think of Mardi Gras I think of beads and Beignets and inappropriate things and booze like I don't think of people it's a different kind of acting a fool this makes me sad that this is the situation that we're in but this seemingly happens a lot right now like our actual sitting president going into a war zone will prove this I couldn't believe it I won't prove this he's rare he's not in Camp that is not real yeah and then they talked about how they snuck him into the country like are you joking right now right he took a train or something from pole I mean I'm not getting political here I'm not I'm just saying when does a sitting president go into a war zone of a war that is not ours see the thing is it was it was it was a guy thing because all these other presidents and prime ministers have been to Ukraine but he hasn't been so so he had to go I mean the British prime minister was there and the president of Poland and Czechoslovakian this is just very foolish I thought it was kind of kind of dumb but you know any and he flew in with like we don't have any any uh ground support or anything there and any comes on the plane of the train or whatever it was a little absolutely not that is just crazy I know just crazy also as people are on vacation right now I was looking over some of the spots where it is so warm yes it is raining here on the K baby so that's what you've got to contend with and it is going to get cooler than it was all week long it was like 60 it was nicer than some June days this week and we got a little taste of warmth but apparently it's a big problem the Call It Whatever you're gonna call it climate change global warming whatever the issue is maybe it's just an unseasonably warm winter that we're having however it is you want to go about saying it Ottawa the world's largest outdoor skating rink is not even opening this year really they they don't have ice wow they don't have ice um there is a part of Vermont that says they might get half of the season but for now that might be the new normal is how half of the Season we're just not getting the colder temperatures that they used to which is an issue for tourism right how long are you gonna have to find other things to do besides ski it's and since it's not a thing that I like to do I'm fine with it and skiing is expensive anyway folks save your money that's my son I was like I'll take you to watch shoes you'll hate it in a couple of hours like the rest of us then you'll be like the family then you'll never do it again and when you get old enough you'll just head right to the right to them yeah exactly it is that's where I live good morning Sarah thanks for joining Hank and I this morning yeah we started off with with climate change shootings now we're going on to I don't even know something positive the president being in the Ukraine but we're not being political this morning we're not we just think that that was not the best smartest move that would be like telling your kids nothing bad nothing good happens after midnight right it's like the rules you should follow when you should follow them right and then the other thing that happens when the president goes somewhere a bunch of people get on social media on the news and whatever and said he went there but oh my God he should have come here yeah it's like there's always a place there's just always a place to go I mean it's just it's just how it is calm down folks really calm down yeah especially parents out there on school vacation calm it down I gotta say I have a pretty awesome teenager I had a day yesterday where she went out she met a couple of friends then her friends from college are home so they went out last night and I was kind of nervous the girl was home at 9 30. she's like all of our social batteries ran out so we just decided to come home and I'm like okay she's a good kid we we like I am so thankful that it was like my daughter today but we like your son too but we know Lily much better well she's just in that in that age bracket that could go one of either ways and having teenage girls everyone knows it's fine today it's not fine in three minutes from now it's just the way teen girls are there's hormones there's stress there's a lot on their plate a lot to navigate and we didn't have constant attachment to cell phones computers and devices and to have them be so Sarah it does sound like her that's it our social batteries right out we're home and she was at home you know watching something on her phone while reading a book and cooking pasta I was like this is thank you right that's really cool that's really cool somebody upstairs looked down and was like she needs a break here have this one right and I'm thankful for that oh Sarah hopefully I get to see her tomorrow she likes me more than my own teen daughter yeah teach it a lot they're hard yes and I'm just stepping into that with the 14 year old with the voice change and then get out of my room please don't talk to me like this well Mariano's 11 going on 15 I think so yeah so we're starting to we're starting to get there too with the granddaughters so yeah she gives she knows how to give gives us give us the looks now yeah and sometimes you'll get the look and I'll think oh my God I saw that a million years ago yeah yeah she looks just like her mother round two it is too funny uh so worst date this year to get married just in case you were scoring at home Hank what was your quip earlier oh yes this is just a joke never he means that in the most loving way no wedding date to set that is the worst according to the stars and all that stuff if you follow astrology August 9th so if that's your date change it change it up tell a friend not a good day to get married I I don't know I don't know what all of the actuality is with that stuff I actually pulled my chart for the first time the other day because I found my birth certificate I was like oh I have all the pertinent details yep read it I was like yep that's me oh it is me oh it is I even gave it to my husband and he's like yup oh boy I'm like all right I don't know if I hold much stock in that stuff but if the shoe fit tank I'm wearing it yes it is me to a T and some other cool fun stuff that I saw I don't where since we're talking about kids okay can even try and understand their relationship they've already been together a decade so I don't think that just like the the stamp on the the marriage certificate means bigger a change so then why did they do it probably for her retirement knowing my mother she doesn't make a move without it benefiting her love you I do I love you but you know yourself so she did it for the insurance I don't know honestly I don't like I have to have a face to face with her because it's it's either text or she's got 14 other things like I can hear her doing other things when we're on the phone yeah my mom can't sit still she's very what my brain and mouth does that's what my mom's body does she can't sit still running around and stuff yeah she very much is busy I mean she's been a nurse for 40 years she like Wow and I showed it to my husband I said we need to do better but we are out a tremendous amount also so I mean where we are is where we usually eat and that's fine the food is always great we have a great time I love pretty much every partner that we work with I don't think there's a bad one out there it's just the time of night that I'm eating at needs to change we need to change the times in which I'm eating food last night was easy chicken soup in bed early chicken soup and bit yeah really no I had chicken soup then went to bed then went to bed okay but I do like eating in bed I know it's gross I know a lot of people are grossed out by it but I got a tray I like my tray the tray came during the pandemic and I did everything from Eden bed to work in bed just so I could get away from my family it was the pandemic I needed a space I know everybody gets sick of each other that is one thing yeah eating out all right take out Jackie take out so maybe that's what it was maybe that's happening here on Cape Cod right you know ducks and Wildlife fun stuff beautiful photos of the beach what Marconi Beach looks like in the off season these are the things I normally find when you hashtag you came out and go to the latest and you're smiling you're happy pretty sunsets oh look at this winter beach photo look at this not let's make a date this woman it's this is just flat out everyone to know that we have a new number if you're in if you're distraught our mental health line 988 we've had a lot of action by the bridge yes we've had a lot of celebrity deaths also um Kelly pickler's husband killed himself and now the latest celebrity death um Jansen Panettiere yep um Hayden Panettiere's brother also they're not saying it's suspicious which I I'm sure we'll hear more about but just 28 years old and I do want everyone to know on a serious note 988 is is what you can call if you're just feeling like you can't breathe you can't get past whatever it is there is help and uh I feel like it needs to be said and addressed I know it is not exactly uplifting and awesome but here we are again having another conversation about someone taking their life and it's they're young these people are young yeah and it's upsetting and I don't know whether it is the stress the economy is it money is it love life is it constant connection like or is it just we're not taking moments to meditate and and put it all together in our brain I think it's a combination of all of it yeah is it expectations people have for themselves that they that they don't think they're ever going to get there when you're only 28. good Heavens you've got all kinds of time to get there we're just here to say 99 of the crap that you look at online is fake yes it's fake it's not real it is not how people actually live don't put that expectation on yourself yeah the thing about Kelly pickler's husband reading the article this morning he wasn't comfortable being in the spotlight he's a music producer or something um but when he married Kelly he decided he would be comfortable in his Spotlight yeah and he's been in the spotlight and maybe you know just a crazy thought here maybe he decided he didn't like being it's just it's so it hits because we've all been there we've all been in despair we've all felt like we just can't get up and we can't do these things and I I really please reach out reach out to us reach out to your neighbor and I know that's the hardest thing it's the hardest thing is saying I need help it's so freaking hard and I'm lucky that I have a spouse that is like do you need help yes I do pick me up and I'm okay to say that but not everyone is and everybody internalizes a lot of stuff because they're embarrassed or they feel like they should be thing with the steak that I talked about last week yes also I saw a sad story out of Attleboro somebody was looking for their father who took your dog yeah and and there's been no um uh there's been no follow-up post no one's found him yeah there's been nothing like I happened to see that when I was just just on a second ago looking and um yeah there's no follow-up that dad's been gone oh the dad's been found I should say yeah I don't know how someone this day and age goes missing really hard I mean with all the with all the cameras and everybody and everybody being so nosy yes that's why I'm saying I find it nearly impossible that people just go missing I don't get it no every all the crime shows my husband's been putting on True Crime stuff before we go to bed let's wait for a lovely sleep it's I wake up with like the craziest situations I was like was that real did that happen uh no I'm okay okay and now I'm like why does anybody do anything someone's always watching because the show always starts out with everything has a digital footprint I'm like I know oh I'm yelling at it while I'm like folding my laundry right everybody everybody has one of those doorbell cameras they record everything that's on the street unfortunately it's like going back in time though afterwards to piece it all together when it's happening in the in the regular time no one's watching it because there's too much crap out there there's too much noise out there right I mean and the two whole high profile cases around here um neither one of those women have been found it's awful I mean one of them will never be found because of of what and what happened um but but the other one who from uh I think she was in Brimfield who just kind of like walked away with her cell phone and her iPad and everything they haven't found her either I don't even understand how that's happening Jenny there's no shame in being true to yourself and reaching out for help when you're struggling good morning like he's like my mom right now decorated my brother's apartment my 30 year old brother's apartment and when Mom leaves she's coming here and she doesn't have a ticket home my mother-in-law is coming after my mother so that the revolving door is my mother who will be here this week my mother-in-law are they going to be here at the same time no they're not good they're they're waiting for each other to not cross paths do they like each other they like each other they just there's only one bedroom right now and nobody wants to sleep downstairs okay nobody I mean my studio is down here you're stuck with me when this light goes on that bedroom light goes on and whatever you're doing we're gonna be talking about yeah exact 100 so I feel like that they definitely want to give each other their space the buffer and also then my j-1s come in and I was asked for more because they need more housing yeah so I think I have three kazakhstanis coming to stay with us this summer did you hear they're doctors did you hear from your ones who were here last summer yes they are safe my Turkish girls are safe they were on the other side of town however their families were definitely affected and they gave me um a relief fund that is for them so if you are so inclined I'll drop it in the chat after this and let you know how you can help them because they're really kind sweet girls and uh they're in school to work for their government and uh they're just cute youngsters they're nice they're nice couple times I had a chance to chat with them yeah they're very kind they were great with my kids I'd come upstairs and both uh Zay and Rain would be having coffee with my daughter I'm like how fun is this right I'm like can I get on this un conversation it's fun uh cousin Aaron has finally tuned in if you remember Brittany Greiner was was held over in in Russia and and that whole drama um but Brittany grinder who was a big star in the WNBA anyway and who will be you know uh an even bigger star or attraction or whatever she signed a one-year contract one year in the WNBA for 165 000 it's so sad for the year that's one game's pay for a lot of NBA players it's I feel like we should start supporting them more because if we support it more and we patronize these games because I wouldn't even know where to tell you to get uh WNBA game yeah in our area they play it um um so maybe I need to patronize these games more because if we go to the games maybe they'll get paid more right I mean these are these are uh basketball players who are every bit as talented as NBA players if not more sometimes yeah but the pay scale is just ridiculous which makes what the US Women's Soccer Team so important did so important yeah yeah I agree to make sure that they get paid on the same scale as the U.S men's soccer team which quite frankly the women's soccer team was generating more revenue and was more popular than the men's soccer well that's exactly it if that's if the revenue is in correlation to what they're getting paid you know what I mean if that's more people are watching then the more you get paid right get that kind of scale for because it's wanted right it's supply and demand that's our economy is it not I mean yeah yeah I mean and they've and they've got to screw it up and yes 165 000 a year is a lot of money but trust me I like it oh sure but when you consider that they're considered professional basketball players the expectations that go along with that 165 000 ain't a lot of money to do the stuff that you're expected to do yeah right Aaron no Hank's not gonna go full time in the morning I can't afford him but I'll be here a couple days a week he's getting WNBA pay right now I'm looking for it Sunday we're gonna we're working on it we're working out alive yeah how do you make that mistake so let's go and find out actually an Ohio woman was sentenced to two years in prison after lying to concealer participation oh no this is a different story I was like wait a minute this has nothing to do with the people that were dead this is Clearwater by the way suspended after pronouncing a man dead who's later found to still be breathing uh he went into cardiac arrest they said he died shortly after arrival then they noticed the patient was breathing oh I mean that's what happens yeah a million years ago right that's why they buried you with the Bell right just in case I'm alive I'm not dead yet I woke up and you said this is Clearwater yeah it's clear water place in Florida okay we will be calling nine well hopefully we'll never be calling 9-1-1 when we're in Clearwater do they have to get a ticket to get on that beach oh probably I still can't get over that do I have to get a ticket to walk the beach there's nothing better than that if you're there for February vacation right now you do not need a ticket to get on the beach just in case you're right but you may have to pay for parking but what a scam I mean it sounds like the Cape Cod tunnel we're still wanting that Cape Cod tunnel given what's going on with the bridges Hank right actually we could probably get the tunnel faster than we could get I agree wholeheartedly they
