would win we're alive can you hear us is this thing on I'll have to say yeah we are okay I just have to make sure all right because you never know I'm usually the one who leaves the phone up yep hi everyone good morning children happy Tuesday to you gotta thank some of our sponsors MBR landscaping services if you're thinking about a spring cleanup now is the time to get that scheduled because those appointments are going to go they're going to go fast and then they're gonna be like what happened even though I don't think we're in a rush weather-wise uh MBR Landscaping make sure you give them a call 508 280-0605 online MBR landscaping.com also uh we've got a big open house today for weekends supporting and empowering women to build Pathways to stability and self-sufficiency now open in Hyannis and they've got their uh open house that is coming up tomorrow weekendcenter.org if you want to find more information about where that is and um okay Plymouth Business they've got their 40 under 40 celebration I was never a 40 under 40 because I wasn't entrepreneuring at the time you mean you're not still under 40. I love that I love that for us now I'm not under 40. but they're calling all alums so uh they started in 2010 doing the 40 under 40 and they don't have everybody's email address and there's some lost alums along the way I'm sure so yeah they're looking for you contact Kara and I think there are a couple of more sponsorship opportunities oh great yeah so with that said why welcome into Tuesday my friend hello hello I get to see you for a hot second over the weekend you did a drive-by I did it I did a drive-by with Mariana we went to we went to knock about we got our impatience Yeah in our little pots and they're sitting on the on the kitchen windowsill and we started going to adequate Acres about three years ago for our outdoor pots yeah and let me tell you we get the impatience every single year because they don't die right and I can abuse them and they still grow and they still look good yep and it is a very low maintenance fabulous thing that lasts well into the fall oh good so it is definitely worth nothing worse than going and spending a ton of money for those plantings and then they're dead in two weeks like I didn't water them yeah we should suckers laugh we should probably go over there and get some we can't we can't plant stuff little stuff around where we are at The Villages okay we can't plant a lot okay but you do have a patio area or something like that you can do some outdoor plantings yeah well we can we can plant it around the back of our three Season room uh there you go perfect so maybe we'll do that so you are doing a little recording in your three Season room over the weekend yes I was Professor Hank was working on it I love it yep yep yep it would it went pretty well I had like a soft launch folks of my of my flying alone on lemonadeio radio um you did a great job why thank you and like a couple of tweaks and you're going to be right back in the thick of it again right well you know it's probably been I was thinking about it it's probably been 30 plus years really since I've been on the radio on my own well you did a great job and I was really glad that you you minimal minimal scripts over from us and that's I'm just saying assist that's all I did appreciate the military time oh I don't know it's military time yeah that's right I'm going through the thing and I'm recording you know 12 o'clock one o'clock two o'clock and then I all of a sudden realize oh wait a minute it's 12 o'clock then 13 14 15. so you had like three hours of overnight with someone talking that's fine and if someone was listening overnight and they heard me say it was the afternoon overnight suddenly let this guy out so get this light sometimes he locked in a basement he doesn't even know whether it's day or night right right right oh well maybe it isn't day or night s let's look out the window it is National Weed day but it's a different kind of weed day I think they meant like the weeds in your garden thinking of weeds I only heard just a smidge of this maybe you did some TV news person or something got fired in Texas or somewhere because they quoted Snoop yeah she said shizzle my nizzle a 20-year broadcaster and she got fired and got fired because they didn't know where the musical was or refusal was or they don't like Snoop Dogg it wasn't even related to anything it was just like for shizzle my nizzle like that's what he says but apparently it wasn't liked or accepted and she got fired oh my gosh I think they were just looking for a reason to fire because dumb could be good morning rtb thank you for uh checking in he said Hank why are you screaming Helen good morning thank you so much yeah rtb is going to be joining me on Friday I had to bump Brianna it's not often we get rtb so when we get a chance to get him I'll bring them in every time well Brianna's on Friday nights isn't she uh no that's a different that's Bray uh oh Brie Rihanna is a different girl and she's going to be joining us on Friday for like some Fitness stuff okay uh and she's also in college she's about to graduate uh from your college actually oh really yes and uh she's working on some marketing stuff oh okay so yeah I I'm excited to bring her into the fold we need we're euthanizing us uh oh I'm in trouble that leads to our question you know the first one to go you know they get rid of the older ones first our question of the day is what do you want to be remembered for what do you want to be remembered for and we've got some funny ones in there like my friend Amelia who said her hair she had great hair she does have great hair she does but I mean it it's run the gamut already this morning from you know my kindness to to my therapy work with dogs I mean we've had everything in between today so definitely find yourself chiming in and also uh my Easter egg hunt meme just because I laughed I said Easter egg hunts are proof that kids will find anything when they actually want to find it yep oh they will I can't I can't find my shoes absolutely they'll get him yeah remind me someday to talk to you about the Easter egg hunt the first time that I ever did an event in the Mashpee comments oh really and what an absolute colossal disaster it was so now every time I see the word Easter egg hunt I think everybody that was part of that day treats it like The Hunger Games and we're all like oh no it just totally fell apart on you uh no it was just the way it was run and it was it was it was horrible it was children it was parents mushing their children it was on concrete it was because for gift cards and it was bloody bloody like bloody people were mauling children they were screaming there it was like it was chaotic do they still do it they not on the concrete area oh okay they put the dogs on the on the grass right they put the grown-ups and the kids on the concrete so they reversed it maybe not a good idea okay that it just it it was bad we learned it was a learning experience some woman was like two inches from my daughter's face screaming at her my older one and I'm like she's a child ma'am stop y'all why was she yelling at it because she had the radio station t-shirt on and she was helping Mom yeah on a Saturday and that was somehow wrong because the event was so it was a rock her child was Bloody okay and she's screaming at my child because because her child was Bloody yes exactly oh it was yeah so that was kind of like screaming at you except well that was it you look like you're in charge because she looked like a grown-up but she was like a freshman in high school oh okay she just she was just standing there taking it like a champ she just looked at me like I don't I don't even know what to do Mom right right just smile that's what you had to do say gosh I'm sorry yeah right then it's shocking she doesn't want to jump into the family business again I don't know why I wouldn't understand yeah yeah it was totally crazy good morning Bob and Heather Edie thanks for joining us yep I'd be coming home saying hey Ma can I uh can I go to work yeah right yeah that's not happening so yeah they went to go to work in the coming home both I don't know she'll be coming home today we'll we'll talk about it we'll see if we can get her involved once again hey well if she's going to stay she's gonna work that's it she's gotta Somebody's gotta work around here and I can always just be me I'm gonna be out tonight by the way over at Shipwrecked we've got trivia we always have a great time packed house and it's from seven to eight thirty so it's a nice early evening you can come in uh flex your brain muscles we got a fun trivia for you this week and we were adding in a couple of other activities within trivia and some fun tie Breakers so yeah we tried one last night some Feats of Strength speech of strength well that's it because I always have a representative from each team come for the tiebreaker yeah and they never know what it's gonna be and it could be me reading uh uh Trivial Pursuit card to them having to now we've added Feats of Strength push-ups no but that I I did that one time I think at The Boathouse I I don't know why I was we had a push-up competition I think it was just because there was like a bunch of buff military guys in there and I was like you know what I'm gonna put this to work and make the ladies enjoy this moment and they they absolutely volunteered for this and had a great time you never know what I'm gonna throw out and the ladies were throwing dollar bills I that did happen that did happen hey you have to remember that I am like the youngest I mean the youngest of probably 30 cousins on my dad's side but I'm the oldest of 30 cousins on my mom's side okay so I was always the one that was like entertain all these kids go right and I'm like well we have something and we just make a game out of it so that is really where my spark of event planning came from okay let's make fun out of nothing and we're gonna have a good time with it too well I love your approach to an Easter egg hunt don't you talked about last week yeah right it's gonna be fun yeah just show some chocolate on the lawn that's it get out there there put a ham in the oven throw some chocolate on the lawn Easter's done guys we're overthinking this making it too crazy I do want to talk about some Facebook scams as we're looking at all these memes and fun stuff yes because you had brought that up so I'll let you yeah I I saw something this morning someone um had had shared um one of those posts you know my my five-year-old son and our dog have have wandered off please help me find them and this person and was in our area and this person reposted it saying I don't know if this is a scam or not and they reposted it anyway yeah and you see this all the time you know my dogs run off help me find my dog my child is running off help me find my child my dog has run off with my child help me find my dog and my childhood on and on it goes and lots of times you you get a message back from Facebook you know that this is a scam and you're not a person you and we're gonna put you in jail if you do this again the easiest way to find out if it's a scam or not is to go to the Facebook page of the original poster and Professor Hank here and if there is a page with like two or three of the same photos it's a scam yeah there's a lot of them out there too and be careful because they're always out to get you Amy Carol good morning good morning Jennifer Nat good morning you said both to us and the other one that that's out there a lot is the um the missing grandfather who took the car to the corner store to buy the newspaper and hasn't come back oh that's that's not real no no I mean you should look at you think of yourself and say if grandpa has Alzheimer's why does he have the keys to the car I feel really bad because one of my friends fell fell to this scam and uh he's a stroke victim and he's just like oh sure blame the stroke victim I said they don't care they're Russian Bots they don't know who you are you're just the one that clicked on it so and it's some kind of scam to get your personal information yeah and I don't understand I've never played it all the way through so obviously yeah right so I don't understand how they end up getting your personal information if if you you know respond to something well my new favorite one that comes is the oh can you help me out with something I've been nominated can you vote for me I'm gonna send you a link and I'm like oh I yeah absolutely I said that link that I send him like two double middle fingers and I'm like get lost go scam somebody else oh yeah send you a link is is yeah yeah let me click through that that seems accurate yeah that's another one you stay away from now and now we don't like those things right the scammers will stop if we stop letting them scam us yeah exactly so be careful poster or something you know thank you words of wisdom by Professor I know it wow look at and now deep thoughts and only this much coffee so far yeah right you're doing well I'm already down one I need another one already um so Cape Cod dining at home and everywhere else is like almost there at the 5 000 Mark yes that is our Facebook page that Murray started I think three years ago now um during the pandemic the idea was just to get folks to talk about and share what they were cooking since we were all stuck in the house or to let people know hey these people are doing takeout and and it's taken off um and I like it because it brings up the doldrums of the midweek and you're sick of making freaking chicken yes we're sick of making the same four things that you're stuck in a rut with yep so we are a handful of members short of 5 000. and our third anniversary I believe is Thursday um and Murray will correct me I'm sure if I'm wrong um but but I think it's Thursday but to go from like a handful of people on Cape Cod swapping recipes to something that literally has members all across the country that's amazing is really it's really kind of cool and it's a and it's a nice page and there's no politics and if somebody gets nasty or pissy Murray tosses them right off that's it you know so you lost the pickle lady we watched a pickle lady maybe she was scammed I don't know I don't know but there was this this woman who whatever the recipe was she always added pickles the you know we all have a friend that's pickle obsessed I don't I don't get it it's not for me I don't like pickles I don't like them I I and and one day she was there and then a couple days later we were like Hey where's so and so and we went and looked and she like dumped off the page and you know we've reached out to people who were friendly with her via the page and no one seems to know where she went yeah so hopefully she didn't get scammed I did see that A Pickle Factory went up in Flames just days after the Chocolate Factory went up in Flames I don't know what's happening in factories oh you're a problem there was a fire at Hershey Pennsylvania old chocolate place okay and like it kind of made sense to me you know like tis the season where you're like right getting that chocolate out there um so there was a fire there and then now there was a fire at Pickle King just days afterwards in New Jersey and people are like missing it's a suspicious fire really yeah I don't know it's it was bad it was like an explosion is New Jersey the pickle capital of the world I don't you know what I can't tell you I'm not a pickle person so I don't know I mean obviously chocolate make all your jokes right right I mean a chocolate factory in Hershey Pennsylvania okay but pickles in New Jersey I don't I don't yes pickles are cucumbers but this is the same conversation I like cucumbers dislike pickles I like grapes but I don't like raisins Oh I thought you're gonna say I don't like wine no no not real not real that's a scam folks and that's a scam that's not my problem Hank good morning Jackie thank you so much for joining us I saw that um my son I had to fill out the family ID yesterday because he's going to play baseball yo I know well he hasn't played baseball since he was seven and he led the Revolt at t-ball wow now he's a lefty so he's going to be sought after and he's also ambidextrous so he can bat both ways I think that this can go well for him if he stays the course now when given his grades he's a student that's it now he's a student athlete so when he was seven we signed him up for t-ball and it was at uh that field on 130 Heritage Park and we're so excited oh yeah Marathon play play some t-ball like this is gonna be the beginning of this wonderful relationship with America's favorite pastime absolutely not this kid hated it so much he was so bored it was so slow that it is right near it faces the playground so he hit it off the tee and he started running the base his first second and then when he got to second he just kept running to the playground and everybody from the team followed him and they all left the field running for the playground and that was it we were kindly asked for our son not to come back to t-ball because he was so distracted by the playground that he has not played baseball since so he hasn't played baseball since t-ball no and now he's going to play baseball he's going to play baseball again so he's an eighth grade he's not quite in high school yet so it's still time for him to pick it up and you know what I I played um D1 volleyball and I did not play volleyball until my freshman year really so moms and dads it's still time right you don't have to groom your children from the womb to get them to be great at a sports um so I'm excited for him in this adventure and he got contact so now he can see oh yeah so I think that that'll improve his catching also oh good he's a catcher too so we'll see how that well I was to catch her okay go ahead make your jokes I'm not I'm not I'll wait I'm not going there I'm not going there so yeah I think uh we'll we'll see how he does but I think that he'll really enjoy that position a little bit uh as long as his knees hold up I think he'll like it so right well he still has young knees yeah well don't have him he'll talk he acts geriatrics sometimes both of my children are like oh my god oh Mariana does too she's only 11. I'm like seriously how old are you it doesn't get better I'm letting you know right it does not get better oh yeah Marianne is always complaining about her her back or her knees and maybe that's just growing stuff I think so yeah I think so when her mother was little her mother would complain that her legs would get tired yeah and that was fine until we were in Disney World with my in-laws and my father-in-law um was in a wheelchair yeah and he was a rather large man and we're walking through Disney World and Mariana keeps saying I mean Megan keeps saying Oh my legs are tied my legs are tired and my father-in-law was saying come on just top in my lap and I'm pushing the wheelchair and I'm saying don't you dare yeah don't you dare and then she does it and I stop and that's it Hank's going uphill middle of Disney World my father-in-law is in the wheelchair with my daughter in his lap I like walk away I'm done I'm not pushing this damn thing anymore don't make me turn this card around as well good morning rtb uh New Jersey does have a world famous Pickle bar at least it did over a round Cherry Hill area there's also a place in New Jersey that uses pickles as the bread part that's interesting like a pickle sandwich no low carb it's not for me but pickled sandwich yeah Jackie I don't like tomatoes but I like ketchup fair and good morning Mary Jane a viral New Jersey sandwich shop that swaps pickles for the bread interesting that's interesting I'll have to check that out we've seen it done before but also I'm just not a fan yeah we have such interesting um uh viewers and and listeners who know all this cool stuff I know we don't right share it with us we're just two boobs here in my basement making radio so that's what we're doing it's what we do best right that's right all right you want to play this or that okay ice cream in a cone or a Dish Dish because I'm a slob that's fair would you rather be five two or six eight my wife isn't even five two um I I think six eight because I like basketball well you have to duck that's all that's right live in Hong Kong or Berlin ooh Oberlin yeah lays or Pringles I know I don't really like either of them can I pass um yeah either one is yeah whatever stop using paper or stop using plastic we've pretty much stopped using plastic yeah yeah there's way too much paper yeah still hangman or rock paper scissors hangman well I feel like hangman you just keep adding body parts like that's not a body part right what's an acceptable body part we've never gotten to because I think one of us would always quit um silly socks are funny t-shirts oh I love silly socks I like them both I'm a fan of both I usually no I'm not I'm not wearing them today I have all kinds of colorful crazy good silly socks PayPal or venmo venmo I guess it's I guess it's fan moment I really don't I try to avoid using either one yeah right exactly and then the errant person will be the cash app only I'm like why right um live on a farm or in a forest cabin Forest cabin I agree I don't want to work at a farm hot dog or corn dog hot dog yeah oh my God I love corn dogs all right that's it well baseball season is coming up we started talking about baseball and uh opening day is going to be Thursday what's the temperature going to be for opening day of 40 something well baseball season officially starts I'm not sure exactly what opening day is at Federal Way it's Thursday yeah Baltimore we were saying before before we went on how come they just don't stay in Florida yeah yeah there's enough teams down and this year because of the way that they've totally jumbled the schedule where I think pretty much every team is literally going to play every team National League American League I'm pretty sure that's what they're doing um who cares whoever you're close to down in Florida just play a bunch of games with the folks down in Florida and then come up or go take a West Coast Swing although the weather in the west coast isn't that great either yeah it's been weird over there too no kidding wacky Florida I mean Florida California has solved its drought problem yeah now they have too much now meanwhile in Florida they've got the blob of seaweed and whatever it is that happens in Florida where it brings everybody to the crazy Crime Time Red Tide just another thing yeah but that's all of a sudden disappeared I mean all the concern and talk about it and and people saying they're canceling their vacations in Florida because of their don't believe the hype Hank don't don't that's a scam the word of the day today is scam s-c-a-m welcome Kim three out of ten people say that sometimes they quit to avoid losing things are you that person to avoid losing things yes what do you mean games activities rather just quit doesn't actually feel the the feeling of loss that's easy for me I lose all the time whether it's a board game or cards or whatever so I just play through all the time because I know I'm going to lose yeah there's no frustration there because I always finish last yeah I don't I don't particularly win in situations like that well especially like Raffles or whatever usually I'm the one running them so I that's why I've enjoyed that portion because I I don't win anyway so I get just as excited for the person who wins yep the only time I ever really won a raffle I was working for United Way in Rhode Island and one of the agencies we supported was having a fundraising event and I went to the fundraising event you know resigning our organization and the wrestle wasn't going well the live auction wasn't going well so I started going like this yeah hoping to to and I got stuck with this phony autographed picture of Tiger Woods and I forget what else I came home with a boatload of stuff yeah that was all useless it's all junk all junk yeah all junk but I was trying to do the right thing you know trying to get a more money and it just people just stopped they figured well this crazy guy over here is going to buy all of this crap yeah and I did repurpose that for other auctions or like Christmas stuff oh yeah you know what I mean or like those white elephants or the dumb prizes that you're like what am I going to do with this No One's Gonna want this right I know what to do with this yep I gave the a phony autographed picture to him um local golf club hoping to hang it up and they haven't and they've had it for like a year and a half so that's how much that was worth cousin Aaron's asking so did you really win if you lost all of your money exactly good morning Lynn and hey Mari um so yeah I definitely need a road trip too that sounds good yep who's going on road trip road trip he rich wants to go to the road trip for the pickle pickle bread sandwiches I'll go for the road trip you have the sandwich we're good um so is the spring is coming is wedding season and we just there were a couple of wedding Expos that my friends took part in and uh I saw that if you're asked to be a bridesmaid be prepared to spend Seventeen hundred dollars well for the dress and all this stuff everything that goes along with it the parties the expectations the shoes the dress the the bachelorette party the things you're supposed to buy The Bride limos whatever it is depends on how extravagant your friend is yeah on average 1700 that's really expensive to do somebody a favor well exactly and and also just be careful I had my two bridesmaids were my sister and my cousin and I got them both off the rock dresses right that was it we were good the guys it's a lot less expensive you rent the tux there you go buy a couple you go buy a couple cases of beer and go to a strip club I mean that's that's done it done done and done that's easy there's no you know fancy walking around hey I'm the groom crown or well maybe in a strip club you would do that I don't know I don't know I'll have to ask my cousin she's she's the waitress at one of those accomplishments one of those establishments yes I wonder how many of those girls get hit on from rude guys stupid guys thinking they're part of the show we were at a family function fairly recently and the amount of money that I saw in her bank roll when her dad was like give me give me some money and she like pulls out this a lot of cash and I'm like I'm in the wrong business I want to be a waitress at a strip club there you go I'm great at conversations just keep me back behind the bar right no I don't do that but I'm here for the money right that's cool I'll take your money anyway and you can that's it that's it I sorry Mario I'm having this conversation with your husband well I mean we're doing it live on whatever so that's it here we are you know um yeah I was leaving the cape I left the cape twice this weekend well two times why I know well the first time we went to the Bruins game yeah I know so and that was smart we took the Bourne Bridge oh yeah la da here at the Bruins game yeah I can't go back I can't sit with the peasants I can't ever go back again um and the second time I went I was going to the Wine Expo at the Park Plaza Hotel my friend won tickets yeah so she's a winner I want sent I'm just a friend I was like I'll drive in but you won because you're her that's it I did so we ended up going it was great uh once we got off of the cape that took one full hour on a Sunday on a Sunday I didn't think they were working on us one oh yeah 24 7. oh but that's not what they said originally 24 7 until Memorial Day so here I was just sitting there and it was the point where I put it in the GPS to see and it was like oh not bad yeah and then you get on the highway and then you hit that wall of traffic and you're like you lied you lied to me right and then where I sat because my GPS was frozen it's that area and sandwich that's kind of like the yeah the nothing work zone right near pavepause like we don't work no one's cell phone works here because it's Faith boss you're stuck here now and this is where you sit and rot there were cars abandoned littered on the side of six because they either ran out of gas or some issue I mean littered I've never seen so many cars abandoned and just sitting there one full hour let's get off of the cave I hope they're not working on Easter Sunday they are yes oh dear Lord oh yeah years ago they were working on the bridge on Easter Sunday and we had everyone down to our house and sandwich we have relatives who have never come back yeah have declined our invitation for Easter yeah because it took them they got on at like exit three or exit two and it took them two and a half hours to get to that to get to the bridge yeah and and we have Mike Mike my cousin Larry and and his wife um they have declined every invitation to come for every holiday I feel like I remember that and in fact I think one of my friends still refers to it as the Easter Sunday incident from 2013. I'm not even joking I I feel like I one of my friends was like never never again and it was so so awful and it is still remembered that way uh good morning dawn thank you so much for joining us Melissa mine paid nothing oh your bridesmaids hey Don thanks for sharing May is the last of the four I am going to for the year your wedding was 5K she wore flip-flops perfect and I mean don't you change the shoes anyway well at the wedding at the wedding oh yeah those are off in five seconds you get out of the high heels and you've got flip-flops on and yeah baskets of flip-flops now or like those they've got roll-up shoes now that you can throw there and just so you've got something on your feet oh okay yeah it was never about the shoes or my girlfriend who let us all wear Converse I loved that oh that's cool my little yellow Converse that's I got because from a bridesmaid to wear so yeah I've repurposed them and I wear them pretty much every day it's my foot foot choice is always Converse well I'm a Sneaker Town Girl Robert Kraft wears I was going to say Robert Kraft wears sneakers I mean I'm sure they're not sneaker sneakers they look like sneakers I'm sure they're comfortable like Sneakers but if you see him he did um interviews this week because he has started a 25 million dollar campaign to fight anti-Semitism and saw him being being interviewed and he's all dressed up um and then they do a they do a long shot yeah and he's wearing sneakers see plantar fasciitis is no joke that's where it's at you wear them I mean that he hangs out with a lot of rappers and they're all about sneakers yeah Meek Mills yes look at you yep who told him that um um um what's his name Jackson from uh Baltimore wants to be a patriot yeah he wears Nikes thank you Nat they do look like Dad Nikes though oh yeah yeah like the all-white Nikes the Air Force ones are still like the number one shoe oh these these ones he had on the other day they were they were black I mean I'm sure they probably cost three thousand dollars yeah right Bob Craft special edition Nike but Mr craft can spend I think he's got it yeah on anything whatever he wants seriously uh what else is going on in the world oh I don't know I know I feel like everything is constantly changing even though we've got a new month approaching us I know it and I'm like so stressed out about it I'm like oh April but not April but I need the weather to change because my mood has been so sour I've not been feeling great I know which is the season somebody had her fake Sudafed earrings on oh really she she had the she cut them out and put like little earring things on top of them just so she had them because sneezing coughing wheezing we're getting here screaming sneezing coughing runny nose that's it here's a question since it's getting to become April how many of us have done our taxes I did them oh well you had to and I was forced it was different and actually Cliff did them and I he breathed into a bag for the weekend and I was like are you okay I'll bring you snacks I didn't know what else to do so it still is off of the table I I probably should redo them or give them our account and a jingle and say can you double check these for emergency purposes because I don't know if they're right right well I hate when they put all that stress on you yes it's a lot of stress yep how about you procrastinator yeah yeah no I haven't started him yet and and I mean we're both more or less self-employed and every year we okay this year we're going to keep track of everything you know we're gonna every at the end of every quarter we're gonna go back and we're going to get all our expenses and everything's going to be organized and I set up a spreadsheet and and I don't know you got about a month then about a month in and it's like and then summer happens that's right and then you know then it's the fall and oh well and then it's like yeah forget it we already let it go this long exactly I know what that feels like all of us suffer from that it's definitely a Cape Cod thing right where we get into the season and then it's uh oh what we've got better things to do better things to do making sure we're taking care of all of this properly right right then sit down and I mean I can show you this red sheet that I started right here on my computer I'm sure and you can see yes you know like it's vigilance in the beginning it's just like dieting it's just like exercise plans for me I'm like I have great intentions every Monday I set forth this intention and by Thursday everything's out the window and we'll try again next week yeah it's just the way life is but what we are doing but what we are doing on April 15th we are having a shredder oh okay at uh the today real estate office in sandwich um it's a Saturday yeah 15th it's a Saturday um that that Saturday morning we're having um great white shred come and people can bring all their documents and stuff and things to get rid of that stuff in your office those boxes of junk that they need to shred you keep your tax returns I think and your receipts I think for seven years so when you do your taxes this time don't quote me on that ask your account when you do your taxes this time then whatever that eighth year of stuff don't don't don't rip it up and put it in recycling because you never know what little corner it's true is is going to have you know a half a number and and somebody's gonna somebody's gonna guess yeah um you know bring it to um uh the sandwich offices today real estate on cotuit road on um April 15th I'll have more on that next week all right well done I burn it all and then we The Good Old Cape coders but let's let's get a bonfire going right there you go exactly yeah it's about time I need my backyard needs a bonfire all right so I saw this relationship thing on shred um shred it read it now that I'm stuck in shredding town we should shred that uh man who contributes more money to mortgage and rent is asking if he's wrong to have the girlfriend do most of the chores no I don't I'm divided the internet is also divided on this one I feel like it needs to be a predetermined thing right you can't just decide that this is the way you want it and make it so I feel like hey look this is a conversation we're gonna have before you move in if I pay the most of this could you do X Y and Z it it almost sounds like a dad and a child and and an allowance I'll pay the mortgage seriously yeah but that's the way to work it I mean we do have to work there is an agreement that has to be had you can't just decide that because you have the more money and you're paying for this that this is the way it's gonna be because that's not gonna work out and she's never gonna progress past being your girlfriend right now and you need to Define chores exactly exactly I agree so we do we have certain chores where my husband is was in charge of trash you Pawn that off on my son and now it just spills onto the floor so I'm really not sure where this is going with any of this we had we fired our trash service because as um they they failed so so you take it to the transfer station yeah we're taking it to the transfer station it's proving to be a little bit difficult because we are both so supremely busy and my husband can't lift above his head right still from his injury so I'm just like can we get the trash service back please so if anybody knows any good deals right now or any spring specials sponsor just just make it a trade let's make a train let's make a trade I'm ready to deal who's got a deal I'll work with you right right seriously because Gibbs does not sit um those are the two big ones that I can think of and I'm sure there's people around with their own little yeah own little you know smaller ones I'll take it to the dump service yeah yeah I'm fine with that too it just it needs to not be spilling onto my driveway and onto my floor thank you not going to come into my house but we suggested one guy to you and he was way too expensive yeah that was I was like wait what uh-uh no see a couple of guys in a case of beer asking the friends to get that gone thank you very much right we'll figure it out we will but as far as that whole relationship thing those are the predetermined things before you start living together that I feel like you have to work out right right like I had to accept cats yeah I I I'm a dog guy I don't like cats and part of the deal when I married Murray was she was coming with the cat there well and now you have more cats no cat no Murray that's it it was worth the cat right right and and over the years the cats have learned to tolerate me because I'm usually the first one up in the morning so I usually feed them and God forbid anyone else should change the litter boxing thing that Don you were talking about is like you definitely need to work that out and just have it in agreeable right if we shall do this this shall be the way it is just like when the kid asks can I have a dog could I have a dog I'm gonna walk and I'm gonna take care of it and then if he's all over your living room for the next decade right not that I know anything about that no and TV dad appears from behind the newspaper what what show was he the TV dad on oh I don't remember Dennis the Menace no no no no no no no the recent round of commercials for oh God one of the insurance companies or something I don't know um and and it's it's it's somebody who is the TV no I don't watch commercials like like 20 years ago or something even my husband yelled at me somebody help me out there somebody out there must know the TV dad commercial I'm thinking of the TV bought two and it's the Super Bowl all right I'm gonna have to uh Family Matters Carl Winslow yes thank you thank you Nat thank you Nat thank you nice one yeah but the commercials are pretty clever all of a sudden he's over in the corner and it's and it's a you know a set from all the way back then and he pops up from behind the newspaper oh I do recall seeing that yeah all right yeah they're kind of clever I did like Carl Winslow and he looks good too he does he looks like nothing has changed and and he still looks the same and he's not missing wrinkles right I think I I think I um well if you can't hear you can't hear I can't I can't hear anyway so oh my goodness I do this every week it happens it's just laid out poorly nope I'm disconnected all right hang on folks I'll be with you let's see almost be this one just just talk Talk Amongst yourselves yeah right we'll be back in a minute ah there I am they only went with him because Danny Tanner and Uncle Phil are no longer with us those were great TV dads it's so true yeah and obviously Nelson's not with us yeah sad 40 of adults have lied to Partners about finances I feel like those are little white lies on sale yeah oh I've had that for years right uh what are the some other famous ones my my husband hides nothing it just those packages just arrive here like every single day is his damn birthday I don't know what he's buying I don't know where they come from it's for the business that's that's history oh okay like I don't work in the business intimately every single day like I'm not gonna notice that well I told you about that that's another one that is that is you are making me feel like I have dementia I've already told you about that we talked about that and then I'm like did we talk about you never talked about that right I think he has conversations in his brain that he thinks he has with me yeah or he has with other people that he's not had with me because I'm not that slow on the uptick with things I definitely remember things when I hear them I've got one of those memories right if I've seen it or we've had a conversation about it I will remember it I will not forget it so now I'm questioning is it me he's like gaslights me he does I think I'm crazy that happens to me sometimes yeah conversation yeah that happens to me sometimes too and and when you have a brain that's as old as mine you're more likely to think oh wait a minute maybe maybe I just don't just don't remember yeah I don't know Aaron says my husband always changes the amount that he spends he doesn't hide what he bought just how much exactly I feel like that's that's a trick for me too but my husband doesn't care what I spend when I spend it because he knows that if I'm buying it I'm one of those people that will only buy something if I absolutely need it or out of desperation okay there's I'm I'm not a frivolous purchaser yeah it's just uh the way I was raised and I I don't buy things just because I have to think about them a lot you know think about them again then I'll think about them three months right he's like well you just buy it yeah and I'm like okay I don't like that I'm sick of the ad following me around Facebook so you're all legit uh yeah and I really have to be I have to talk myself into buying stuff for him it's like a demented King are snacks bigger better I'll bring them on please right it makes it does so I would be fine with it if he even bothered to just deconstruct those Amazon boxes right no that's me breaking down boxes but you can take them to the you can take them to the lentil every week I'm not doing that that's his job remember we've already talked about this this division of labor right yeah and and you have to here in Mashpee anyway you have to make the distinction between cardboard and non-card correct what you may think is a is a box that you would put in the cardboard area doesn't go there right and God bless the guys who work there it's not the you know you have to have a lot of patience with people you're out in the middle of the rain but sometimes you just wish they calm down and I know and they must say the same seven things over and over and over again oh I know and when you've worked that same job for 20 years you're just done with people right like I've expired and this is me my grouchy self going to my grouchy work I get it right there's Oscar the Grouch did live in a trash can that's right that's why they are grouchy right they're sick of hearing it right here's the one that I don't get mixed paper and then there's another one for newspapers why isn't that I don't know maybe they biodegrade differently at a different pace I don't know I can't keep track of it good morning Michael I almost called you the other day I'm sure you're very very busy but we had a situation where a friend of ours was going somewhere we were going somewhere we wanted to go together but then our children threw themselves in the mix and neither one of our bigger vehicles worked without either being jumped or taking a tremendous amount of work to make them palatable for another family so we ended up caravanning it was obnoxious and I was like why didn't we just call Michael I should have set an appointment three weeks ago when I knew we were doing this thing I just didn't know we were including the kids well did you take the Stephanie mobile I took the Stephanie mobile of course right right get a little promotion in there why not now you're gonna be stuck with me I haven't had I have my my children are over it now now when I pull up at school they don't hide behind the dumpster or the uh or or anything at school they're like whatever they just get in they're used to it now right it's my life this is my family business please don't talk to anybody right right don't be weird that's usually what I get that's my response when anybody who enters the fold don't be weird don't be weird I can't help that I'm just weird you're just weird okay I get it I get it yes we're all a little weird yeah right exactly um so this week we've got a bunch of events happening but we're getting closer to our ice skating party which is happening over at the Charles Moore Arena it's almost sold out wow that is April 8th and that is going for the old timers which is a a benefit of we can okay so it's a fundraiser um and we do a really it's a really fun sober night out so if you're um in the sober life we are branching those activities as well because it's super fun to do something that you don't have to feel like you need to be seated at a bar or drinking or doing all those things all the time family friendly fun uh but this one's just for adults so an adult Saturday night out ice skating whether you're good or bad just come that means you leave your children at home correct okay you're not any more special than anybody else I know either of your kids State doesn't that drive you crazy yeah you know like you go somewhere on vacation and there's a kids pool and then there's the Adele pool and there's always that family yeah I mean God bless them they love their kids I guess maybe I don't know but they bring their kids to the adult pool I know and then you've got a seven-year-old in the hot tub and you're like oh it's just awkward yeah and we're gonna we're embarking on April vacation so definitely be mindful of those spaces that aren't not necessarily everything kid-friendly I'm talking to you would you care to explain no you just know you know where you don't need to bring your kid to there's always the one oh yeah oh I know your kid is special yeah your kids above it my Aunt Sheila had one time where she decided to tell people that her daughter had Progeria Progeria do I know what that is you just Google it do I want to know what that is I mean I was just like are you kidding me no it's a kid in a hot tub it doesn't belong in there stop making up physical ailments with the kids to pretend like it's an adult it's like that Benjamin buttons thing where they rapidly age oh okay and she just thought she was the funniest thing actually I I did laugh because I was like of all the things to say yeah or that the fact that she knew that off the coffee uses an excuse right in a group setting and I was like yeah what's wrong with my family and I am this way because of my family and progerious sounds like it could be several other parents of things yeah that sounds serious we'll have to walk away from that good morning Alex thank you so much for joining us from across the pond I believe wow how is uh how is the UK these days the UK I know what's the afternoon for them so right and a friend of mine just moved there really she moved I don't know but she looks like she's living her best life and I'm a little bit jealous was she still doing the tourist thing I bet she probably hasn't settled in well and she's also younger but she had a successful thriving charcuterie business and what kind of a business charcuterie business charcuterie business she made enough money making selling doing charcuterie yes that's it rolling up meats and cheeses who the hell knew why right I mean we're kind of fascinated and obsessed with them right now and little meats and cheeses on a board and all of a sudden everyone's oohing and eyeing and it was so pretty but we did that for years I I it's just I don't know it's called hors d'oeuvres yes I fancy name now Hank it takes everybody and it sounds French yeah so it must be really good it must be really fancy I flexed my French on a trivia question yesterday oh you did and I might my Flex it again today I was very very proud of myself with my accent and no no everybody knew the answer but it was I was getting really excited when was the last time you spoke with French um I busted out a little bit of it when we were in France but I wasn't very good actually you know who was really good was Lily really so we had her order for us while we were at this tiny little town ax stay tunes and we Lily was like oh I've got this you know conversational French and I'm like like not afraid of it I think that is the the thing with languages they have to just be unabashedly unafraid to just get in there and make mistakes and look a little dumb yeah and be okay with your accent not being a great accent yeah she she was great she shined I imagine I imagine right she was yeah not for me I'm not great it wasn't but so I can pull off a fake accent for a little bit right that's about it well we're all afraid somebody's gonna laugh yeah that's the thing that's the thing when when they won't Professor Hank over here you've got some end of uh term stuff going on right now wrapping up yeah and uh you this is what you do for a living you you teach people how to be a better public speaker yes amongst amongst yes yeah and and you have to never be you have to never be afraid yeah you gotta jump in gotta jump in yeah you know because most people what I always tell my students is tell them lots of things but no one knows what you're going to say next anyway yeah right so only you know that you messed up oh yes right totally you know yeah and I know if you gave me your speech in advance yeah that's about it but it is those moments where where you realize that's where you gotta shy and that's where you're gonna step it up and get over your own anxieties and I think that that's what's crippling our 20 somethings at this moment in time is the anxiety to have a conversation to be wrong right and to throw yourself out there I think it freaks people out yeah the other thing that I tell them is I'm not your audience yeah your audience is everybody else in the class don't you dare look at me um I'll try to get off in the corner and so you won't so you won't see me I mean they obviously know that I'm there um and every now and then someone will just turn right around well wait a minute not me right but it's that panicked look that always upsets me for them too it's just like oh I wish I could help you right at them right look at them it's yeah it's not particularly um with with the age the generational difference between me and my students what I say to them is when you think about who your audience is getting larger Hank yes the Divide is getting larger Cavern is yes um you know I'm not I'm not your audience I'm not whatever you're saying to them is probably not may not work for me yes I may not know what you're talking about so just you know Let it go look out and let it go that's it there's something about Frozen she was teaching us something Let It Go Let It Go singer Danielle said they're adult Lunchables yeah exactly charcuterie boards absolutely go ahead I like that because we grew up on Lunchables I guess we did and then I saw somebody with the The Tackle Box that they called the snackle box at the beach I loved that oh really all filled with little snacks I am so ready for a little bit of Sun and Fun and Beach time yes I'm very jealous of everybody going away for April vacation I feel like I've got a good amount of friends that are going and just going someplace fun and sunny and I'm jealous yeah I need it we'll be here working yeah right exactly that's what we do for those of you who aren't going we'll be here to keep you company yes we will don't worry I also we were talking about uh gofundme's and scams and whatnot I do have a real situation that is happening and I shared the link on my Facebook page so if you got a chance today and you've got a couple of bucks you want to donate to this poor dog my friend Mick Mack um had one of her puppies that was mauled by another dog and this dog had like 18 facial fractures oh my Lord I needed so much surgery and I feel so bad for this cute puppy and uh they're really close we've been doing like fundraising stuff and she's she's gathered some other giveaways for ways to give back to people that are donating to get the surgery done because I think it's like three thousand dollars worth of surgery wow and it's just a puppy I mean the puppy did nothing wrong so I mean it just totally breaks my heart so if you've got it in you and you've got time make a small donation to help puppy boy out because you know what's nice they're not putting the dog down no no absolutely not because with that amount of surgery and that amount of money some people could have easily said okay let them go there I go yeah I know there are fundraisers out there Samson funds definitely picks up those places and usually if you're in a situation where it's like you can't afford it the vet will keep the pup and reach out to other organizations to see if they can fund the surgeries because we get it it's tough economy not everybody if you can't put food in your mouth and gas in your car and I get I get it and it's just sad so yeah at least they're able to maybe oh that's good that puppy boy is going to be uh doing really well so I'm I'm looking forward to this being fulfilled it's one of those fundraisers I'm like please make enough money right I'm you know I've I've only got so much disposable income and I would give it all to you if I had it but I don't and the dog has the puppy has a good prognosis yes yes and it is all just structural bone and Fracture stuff so I can't imagine no it's like putting a puzzle piece together I mean luckily they they're they'll be fine okay I know some just make a donation make help make out they're really nice they adopt all kinds of dogs with problems and her husband's a former police officer they've got canines that they they collect at the end of their service also so oh my gosh I know we can't not help it's one of the things that we do if we can help we will yep yep yeah no that's good that's yeah that's something because you know like I said people some people might just make the hard because it's the hard decision it's an awful decision oh I know I know and just like people have to struggle with you know when they're when their animals get sick how not to be depressing this morning folks when when your animals get sick how far is Sarah Mclaughlin song playing in the background oh no not again not again no no no but how far will you go how far will you go you know before you decide okay yeah I know oh it is a terrible terrible feeling you know what the terrible feeling for me over the weekend was watching people go see John Wick who is spending money on these Keanu Reeves movies still this is the fourth John Wick and it's the same movie haven't you seen it already 74 million dollars it made over the weekend why I thought you're gonna say he killed 74 million people I don't know I don't watch any of the John Wicks as much as I love piano reason why kind amazing human he is yeah uh and has managed to go his entire life without being canceled or doing dumb stuff no but other than Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure uh he's done really really well for himself uh just being a really good guy and there's all kinds of stories about him he's being so unassuming and he you know taking public transportation to the movie Set and and all that stuff and I'm sure people if they if they think they recognize him look and say that's a no that's not him not him that can't be keanuary no that's not him you know which is which is the which is the safety yep and he'll definitely do that he's one of those people maybe that's why they're still supporting John Wick 4.
