Daddy I am ready I'm ready too hey Hank good morning Steph how are you I am here and it is Tuesday and it is school vacation week and I haven't murdered anybody yet so I feel like I'm winning were you tempted to murder yeah they've been a lot really my son is content to sit in his room and just sit up there and smell like a goat he's fine he comes down when he smells food being cooked and other than that he doesn't do anything no he's good my daughter needs to be entertained can I have a ride can I have this can I have money can we go here how about that what about this can we go here doesn't she have play practice she's got play practice she needs to have her final drivers ed this week we need to get a license we really need to work on that you've been saying that she's overdue overdue I've never met anybody Less in a rush to get their license like here's freedom for you right and there's a car she has a car and like you're ready to go she's like maybe next week maybe next week maybe next month well is she getting rides from friends and stuff of course she is oh okay so there's no rush no except when we're on her schedule and she's made all these plans that she hasn't told us about yet right and then we're just supposed to drop everything and come to her rescue and give her a ride well of course I said it's like the worst like Cable Guy here's a time period between one and six at some point I will bother you for a ride in there it doesn't work for me nope good morning Don and Junior and Michael thanks for joining us this morning hey Junior just did the Bloody Mary mix off his first competition how did that go uh they raised sixty thousand dollars for the Kennedy Donovan Center so it's pretty incredible nice job Marissa and Dave and how were the Bloody Marys I didn't have any I was busy I was working but I saw my friends and I heard like um I think Matt was here yesterday and he was talking about his favorite was Baxter's a lot everybody had like it was all about the protein that went along with the Bloody Mary oh somebody had like Baby Burgers somebody had shrimp somebody had all kinds of all the decorative oh accompaniments of the Bloody Mary for me it would be about a bloody mary yeah right I don't I don't care about anything it's not a good one in a while goes along with it well I'm I'm waiting to start to play golf so that I can have a Bloody Mary at um uh sandwich shop Holly Ridge oh that's your favorite right that's my favorite okay you got it you got the birthday celebration like in the birthday celebration coming up on Sunday weather permitting uh oh yeah right what if it rains what are your alternative plans I don't know I'm not in charge oh per usual I'm not in charge well I mean you did make it in today I was a little worried about you being able to be you know close oh I know do I look okay you do you look fabulous thank you because there was no one at home this morning to open an eye and go oh not like that right it's kind of boring that's a boring morning well I know I know because last night there was book club uh why are the air quotes for book club well I mean I I it's just I mean apparently the the the depth of the discussion about plot lines and character development and foreshadowing all those things is so demanding that it's too late to drive home oh yeah you know I mean it's only it's only up in Attleboro it's only 45 minutes I mean I could drive it yeah uh but it's it's apparently just just so much and they're so involved and it takes so long it seems that way just like well my mother was lucky my mother didn't drive my mother had my dad to come and pick her up but my mother God Rest her soul um she and a group of of ladies had a group called The Knitting kittens oh bitten kittens my mother didn't knit she never learned to knit there were several women in the group didn't knit never learned to knit out of oh I don't know they probably did this for 20 years there was very little product that came out of these monthly knit and kitten things um they go to the church Bizarre by other people's knitted right gifts so that they could just continue to drink and be together I love it I'm so down for it I think it's fabulous I think it's important there is something to be said for having some social time right especially as we age yes be quiet um I'm enjoying more time with my girls okay I absolutely do more when I can get away from my husband I absolutely will I mean the good thing about book club is that it's kept Mari in touch with all her girlfriends remember exactly all these years so you know that's a that's a positive I'm all for a social club I think it's great right and if you really had to get into that plot line last night yeah it might have been under a bottle of Chardonnay for me but I'm glad you did it nonetheless I'm sure it was a fruitful discussion and somewhere along the way they picked a book for next month and maybe they'll remember to read it hey it happens that's right I did finish two of the quarter books I had left oh you did over the weekend I mean they're entrepreneurial books and they're pretty much always the same they're always but I was like I'm gonna finish these I'm gonna do it and what did you learn nothing okay I need to work on my time management okay really wow shocker hey I could have told you that now we're actually working on some systems right now so I mean I need a system to follow you're working on systems we are wow I know oh that's cool it has to happen yep because I can't continue like this what are the cool phrases did you learn working on systems that's it Oh okay that's that I just know I need to not work in it like in my business I need to work at my business so oh there's another good one right wow just a couple of two folks two things small bits of retention that we got I'm like maybe if I just keep reading these something will stick something will stick maybe I will just at some point get it through osmosis the things I'm trying to learn right now you need an administrative assistant you need a manager someone needs to manage but the thing is colossal Stephanie in the morning I know if I had a manager though we would probably just sit and like not do any of the work because we'd both be like so now what so because I get so overwhelmed with a heaping pile of things and I know it's like eat the Frog take the one thing you don't want to do the most and do it but I just get buried in here and then it's like time to go to games and then I get all into the games and then I'm like then I do it all over again I'm like rinse and repeat next day same thing yep then it's time to go play bingo I know I gotta get out of my own damn way we're working on it right on top of that Rose okay good morning John I hope to see you tonight over at trivia Shipwrecked will be there from 7 to 8 30. I don't have much time left over there because we're about to get into the season and then and then they don't need you they definitely don't need being ready this is very but we have a good time and I entertain so it's always a good one so you'll find another place to replace yes or no or maybe I'll have a Tuesday night to myself I'm cool with that also no coming into summertime I don't know what the heck's gonna happen I'd like to you know sit we got a canoe last week I don't know why we got a canoe last week you get a canoe yeah yeah you've lived across the street from the pond how many years well we have we have a blow up like kayak sort of thing and then I've got my stand-up paddle bar but we didn't have a canoe oh okay and you needed one well we didn't need it and we just we saw it on one of those auction things have you ever done one of those auctions no but I've seen them okay so there is a particular auction house in town and they'll run these auctions and then I get the email and it's like okay let's see all these things and it's fun to bid on things and then I was like oh okay this is uh I could use this if I won this and it's 10 15 I got a rando chair upstairs right now for the same set auction well I won them you won them so then I forgot that I had to pick them up and so my husband happened to be away that day and I was like I need somebody's help to get a canoe into my truck did you take the Stephanie mobile I took the Stephanie mobile to pick up the chair okay um I had to send my husband back the next day to get the canoe okay because it didn't finish yeah now and it had to like it was down by the water deeply somewhere somewhere in Falmouth but we got the canoe it's a great shape good it was 30 bucks and how many times you're gonna use it I don't know I think if I pay for the slip down there because our pond now has this opportunity to put your stuff down there and chain it up okay for like 25 bucks for the season I need to do that yeah that way if it's down there I'll be more likely to just haul it into the water than it is getting him get the truck putting the canoe on the truck driving it down to The Landing throwing that like that's a process I won't do it if I can sit at the beach and go you know there's our canoe over there maybe we should go out exactly well do I want to get up no I'm really liking the sun here him and I will kayak into the middle of the pond and have lunch just to get away from our kids 47 phone calls 47 but who's counting not me I'm fine everything's fine dumpster buyer behind me just load it up oh my gosh yeah seriously so that's what we do in the summer he'll pack a light lunch yep and then we'll we'll Kayak Out to the middle of the pond and just sit there yep dodging speed boats but yeah it depends on what's out there for the day but yeah they can't get us no if we don't answer the phone don't answer the phone well you've got that family thing where we can check in on everybody so I'm sure that they know exactly where you are yeah your mom and dad are in the middle of the pot together and they couldn't and they could go down to the to the water's edge and go like this that's it none of these days are gonna be at the bottom of it good morning Diane thank you so much for joining us seriously so here we are Tuesday's April vacation lots of things are happening Bruins had their first playoff game last night yes they do looked really great they were excited really well yeah they did and and I don't watch a lot of hockey during the season but playoff hockey is absolutely the best um the intensity and and all of that so um and they should they should make a really good run at it they said all kinds of records for wins and points and stuff and things so um they should they should stay in it for a while anyway and the Celtics are in the playoffs and the Red Sox are yeah but I mean this is it's way too early in the season for that oh yeah I mean they've played 16 games they're eight and eight these are the months you watch them you don't watch the Red Sox in the months that end with ER it doesn't happen for us I don't know why oh okay okay it's too early to start to get all in your twist about the Red Sox anyway well you're our Sports guy so I got nothing on the sports situation at sports all that drama with Bud Light and March Madness so I mean yes I don't know what the deal is with that I did see that Budweiser has put out a pro-america commercial following one of their Clydesdales to try and undo the damage you know you know it's awkward it's awkward I don't I don't think that there's I think you just let it be I don't think that you'll try and be something else just just leave it yeah let everybody Revolt about it everybody said your name plenty of time and then they go away I'm sure it didn't even hurt their bottom line sales I'm sure it didn't you know there were there are a couple of of country and western stars who have who have bars or restaurants and do we even say country and western anymore I don't know country I don't I don't know what they are um you know but but you know they ask their fans you know what are we going to replace you know bud with because of of this thing and I was just thinking but that's all they drink is Bud yeah you know you're not gonna replace it I don't think it's gonna affect the bottom line of the sales and we don't get political here whatsoever but I just feel like you should just let it let everybody have what they have to have a feeling about and let them have it right at a country bar you're not going to replace you know Bud Light a bud with Molson it just doesn't or Coors Light or or something you know it just doesn't it just doesn't work that way people drink Bud yeah that's true oh I saw that Phantom of the Opera closed on Broadway finally 35 years wow 35 years they had their final show of Phantom of the Opera last Sunday on Broadway wow I know that's incredible it was It's a Great Chow but yeah 35 years it's a good run he did he did well yeah it's enough I'm sure they'll bring it back in some other fashion with a limited run of some sort so sure it'll you know but I'm sure it will continue on tour it'll be you know at NP pack in Providence Center one of the theaters in Boston and so if you haven't seen it you can go see it do you have any fun plans this summer you've got you've got Clear Water right we're going to Clearwater early in June at the end of June yeah Mariana's going to camp at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium very jealous wish I could be going too um and in the summer we're gonna we're gonna see what happens we're gonna we're gonna try to um like you manage our workflow a little better I know it's got to be done yeah yeah to to take advantage of some of the amenities of The Villages um I love it and and to do and to do other things it's just um you know need to need to organize things a little bit better because some of us aren't getting any younger well someone's got a birthday celebration that is happening this weekend and several several decades on God's good green earth what's your favorite kind of cake are you getting a cake I don't know I assume I I don't know so you know nothing about this I all I know is is that Mari has put together a foursome with with my brother and two of my buddies over at Holly Ridge oh that's nice and and then um are he's taking me and I mean Mariana and and Meg and Logan and I don't know who else um we're going down to um the only armathian for dinner perfect you know I'm not a I'm not a big party celebration kind of guy yeah Mario on the other hand is it Mari month yet no it's not marimon yeah that happens in May but when she hits the next big one um there's going to be fireworks and searchlights and um just just you know all all kinds of things because um her birthday is is she makes a big deal out of it well maybe because and and we'll have Stephanie in the morning come and play music I would love that yes it's gonna be a big to-do a big celebration both of my girls are in May to do I said I apparently Tauruses are going to be the most affected by whatever Mercury and retrograde situation that's coming next week oh okay so I'm warning you there's a wrath coming for you oh okay I was looking at the horoscope thing and it was like four signs that are going to be affected by the Mercury in retrograde I'm like oh again so I open it up and I take a look it's in America we always in retrograde whatever the hell that means I don't know so I saw it and I was like oh Taurus great I got two of them living under my roof I just I just think of of of growing up and Daryl Martini the cosmic muffin um who was who was on uh wbcn when I was a kid with Charles Lockwood era and um he always gave the horoscopes and Mercury was always well it's not right now so enjoy your last moments of it and also if you're I'll have to look and see what other signs were affected because okay I'm assuming no it was the four no it's I guess it's like they'll be the most affected and not for the good oh okay but if you know about it though I can you can deal with it yes exactly you're like okay this is what it is right what's going on in the house housing market here a lot of buyers um sellers um not enough um but I don't I don't I don't know I think people have just been scared into into doing nothing because usually a spring market around here is like a little perk up yeah I mean it's perked up it's perked up a little um but but I just think you know and this is and we can say this because we're media people you know the damn meteor just scared people yeah um into um you know the Market's gonna crash or I don't think that that's ever going to happen and we're just we don't have I mean we've got all limited yeah and what we can do here on the cape right but you know what I'm interested in you know what's interesting that we seem to be and this is just anecdotally and talking to business owners the number of business owners who now seem to be looking to buy property for their workers yeah it's it's it's very interesting and it and it I don't know if there's going to be enough of it but it could start to be the answer to it I think it has to be the trend for probably yeah exactly you have to take care of the people that are going to be working in your business because they might not have a place to stay right and I mean you cannot continuously do a two-hour commute in the summer here on the cape if that is no no way to live for anyone does does one local restaurant that um the owners have bought a couple of condos from um from us for the specific purpose of being able to rent them too yeah it's important you've got a house of workers right and and then we were talking to another business owner who has some land and they were thinking about selling it and then they were saying you know we might build something not for us but build something so that if we have to we can rent it or if we have to you know fill an important position in our organization we can offer we can offer housing yeah I I well uh that happens a lot on the islands I remember when I was on I did a charity event for something and they're like oh no we'll put you up and I I burst out laughing when we got to the house that they were putting us up in just because it was I felt it was like Snow White so there was just beds bed bed bed and I was like oh I'm fine with it it doesn't matter like it doesn't bother me at all right but I this is how it has to be right so that everybody has a place to stay and they can get the job done and they've got a house that can sleep 30 people right so that we could all work and it worked how many J1 kids you got coming this year I have four four you had two last year we had two last year they were wonderful and how are they uh they're doing great uh they're in Turkey they were not uh affected right which was nice and and uh they're in school to they're both working government jobs oh okay so I think both are in finance of some sort and uh they're they've got another year of school they miss us they were wishing they could spend the summer with us this year but they've got to be at school and they're doing double time with that this year we have four kazakhstani doctors and I don't know how the Borat jokes are not going to flow in my house I'm going to have to be very mindful doctors doctors where are they going to be doctoring I don't know we'll have to find out their specialty when they get here wow I know and they're older ones this year they're like 21 22. yeah because the girls who were here last summer were 17 18. this is the first time that they had ever been away from home yeah so I tried to let them have their freedom as much as possible and right and try not to give them a hard time about doing dumb things but they were really respectful and great kids yeah another great experience we did they just destroyed my bathroom but it's fine it's fine my kids were gonna do it eventually yeah what's the difference just get it out of the way and then that's a new excuse to have somebody come and do the bathroom exactly so we got one set of bunk beds we bit the bullet and went to IKEA that place it just sucks you in it's a whole day oh yeah and you can't leave there without having the cafeteria food because then they they strategically plan it so you get through half of it and you're like I'm hungry now right here's the cafeteria here how convenient right then you're there for the rest of the half of your day yeah it's it's a Time Warp and then you have to go home and actually assemble the things that you purchased yeah that's an absolute bleep show yeah that's where I'm about when you get to the assembling part I'm calling my nephew or I'm calling Logan and saying hey I can't build this I just like wait a minute why we haven't even started the put together process I'm not there oh okay I usually leave that to him because he's pretty good about following directions I just got aggravated and start just gluing things together putting screws and things that don't belong I'm like it's fine it'll be fine my my youngest brother is one of those guys who opens up the directions takes all the stuff out of the little baggies we're supposed to have four screws that look like this one two three okay we got those four screws and I'm like come on can we just build this damn thing oh no I gotta check I gotta make I appreciate people like that though because that I am not right but then he has everything all laid out and then when it's time to put it together he's just like I need one of those and one of those one of those and bang bang and it's together whoopsies not me yeah where is that piece I think I had that I just have that in my hand where's the other one why do I have three Allen wrenches what am I doing here right right at our old house we attempted to build a couple of bookshelves and and we had pieces left over we built the first one and had pieces left over and said you know what this doesn't look right so we waited for one of our nephews to come and say you just put this together and he did it in 22 minutes unbelievable you know then we had a lamp that we had bought for our for our extra bedroom and we could have built it I think but the print was so small that even with glasses we couldn't read it in a magnifying glass right here I mean it was like it was like this it was it was it was ridiculous so good morning Lynn and hey Yvonne thanks for joining us this morning how are you Eva's cousin just finished the Boston Marathon yesterday I think it was about 5 p.m when she crossed the Finish Line this is her second time she did the Boston Marathon raising money for Teddy's team and uh I sh I give her so much credit she looks like she had it handled better this year last year she injured herself she was hurt before she even ran it so I don't know how she finished it but I think this year she she was ready she crushed it oh Mary's mari's home she's already left Attleboro and she's uh she was up and out this morning she was up and out this morning well you never know what's going to happen at those bridges I can't even I can't I hate asking people to even come here well let's see she said left at 6 15. I don't I don't know what time the post was oh the post was four minutes ago and she left Attleboro at 6 15 and she got in about eight o'clock that's pretty good that's not bad that's not great but that's not that's not bad I don't think she's feeling great today either so I don't know if that has anything to do with book club yeah it was probably getting into those thick thick plots right oh she crushed it beat last year's time by an hour and a half that's insane that's crazy I knew she was in better shape this year she was uh she seemed in uh in good spirits too she did not look great crossing the Finish Line last year she she hurt I hurt for her yeah for Lindsay so I think she's in such good shape that she's gonna run another Marathon she's one of those crazy people yeah I mean I grew up like a hop skip and a jump from from the marathon route and and every year me and a couple of buddies had this crazy idea you know what next year we're gonna run and then we'd have another beer and we never we never would maybe maybe we'd start to run and I used to run a little but I I mean we just never we just never got that far yeah no I'm 20 Falmouth Road races I'm good I'm retired oh thank you Carrie Carrie matous who runs the um the J-1 program for uh Cadet Duncan so she actually hooked me up with Christina over at the Cape Cod chamber who is working with J-1 students right now and finding some housing for them and finding jobs for them and uh I I shot a little video last week for the Cape Cod chamber very cool to talk about my my experience with RJ ones so that was fun great yeah so do you want to just explain to folks what that's all about since we have the J-1 program a captive audience well um if you Carrie and I have talked about this before but we invite people to stay in our home and they work jobs and they get paid for them and we get paid to house them and I feel like it's a cultural exchange not everybody is that way we have people that take the jyn students and just you know put them all in a home that they have if you've got a free piece of real estate that's not being booked or whatever and and work with other businesses to house workers but we do have a worker problem because we have seasonal businesses here on the cape that need workers so that is what the J1 program does because there's a definite date of leaving and entry no squatters just it's nice and also my kids like the cultural aspect so they like meeting new people and learning about new cultures and it really is a fun experience and they've stayed friends with a lot of them and you know our old au pair Marie Therese has invited us to go stay with her in Germany we still check in with joy in Berlin um in Korea so it's just really nice to check in with everybody and see where they're where they're at and also the invitation to go visit them right now do you wish your kids had the same sort of entrance and exit dates uh yes that would be nice a finite date would be great but we love you it's going to be a while for that Hank we're here for the Long Haul yeah I know so we're uh and you have good kids I gotta say you have good kids they're good to a point they have their strengths and weaknesses just like everyone else right they make me crazy and I love them for it so how often do you mow your grass for a beautiful lawn according to the season I'm working on getting rid of my grass entirely you are we're doing clover Crimson and Clover it's probably going to be covered in beef I'm sinking again I just envisioned one of my friends stepping on bees oh my gosh she's highly allergic oh but my daughter has taken over the whole front yard she's she's aerated it she's dethatched and she's got her herbs going already my little my little garden witch has been out there working real hard on it when I came in this morning I noticed looked like there had been stuff going yeah there's stuff happening out there yep so she's been visiting uh her favorite um Source flower garden nursery and seeing what's on on their new racks every single week and she loves it until she's over it right so she might buy a hundred dollars worth of plants and just to let them die in my front yard because she won't put them in or she'll she'll crush it so it really depends on her mood and follow through here so we're working on less is more this year right and if she doesn't do it then it's up to Mom and Dad too that's it and I just don't have the time for it I know that that's a hobby she really enjoys I wanted to get her together with our friends over at Aquin and start learning how to care for things actually from the professionals right but she needs to get her license for that so we're not because she needs to throw a conversation again because you're not going to drive her there I get it we can only do so much right right his parents there's only so much you can do that's it so today is tax day how'd you do file an extension all right let's define another day Hank right and the accountant said how much money are you going to send anyway so you know us like you guys um you know it's all estimated taxes and and going through the receipts it's really stressful and all of that and we just we just haven't had the time to get to it as I say that because I know my husband did it and I saw him stressing out and that did not make me happy right we tell each other every day taxes today and then this happens and that happens and something else happens then you get to the end of the night and you know we didn't do our taxes today no we didn't we'll try again tomorrow and we we today is that day right I had one of my friends that was audited really that really stinks when you're a small business or just a sole proprietor and have to deal with because that's stressful yeah yeah not the most fun time of year no not at all and and and and for us I mean we do a lot of we do a lot of marketing and sort of the same with you guys um you just have to sort of find all those find all those charges and you know get some kind of that's at the Gathering of the receipts just in case the checking of Miles someone asks and I'm checking my phone up how many miles is that how much gas is that right right that was not amazing to not love and just recommend and just a segue back to the real estate business folks if you want to get a mortgage you got to have your taxes done yep that's why we hurried up ours right but we hurried up to wait anyway so that's what we like to do that's right to wait around for people to call us so fun right I'm loving it okay towel yes ah so loving it right right when the weight is over folks she's going to be doing some really nice stuff that that you're going to be really excited about I hate having plans to do something and then getting hogtied and not being able to do them it is my least favorite thing it's like the chore that you keep thinking you're gonna do is said taxes right and then it keeps just the ball the can keeps getting kicked up the road Hank yep I'm sick of kick in the can I know I know chores you think you're gonna do I still have some boxes downstairs in our basement over in the corner that I that we use when we moved that I just haven't cut up yet and and taken to the uh taken to the transfer station and it's just one of those things that every weekend it's like you know what I'm gonna go downstairs and finally cut those things up and then you just don't it doesn't happen it doesn't happen you know I mean they're not getting anybody's way they're not any problem and somehow in the back of my mind I think I know this is going to happen I'm going to cut them all up I'm going to get rid of them and then we're gonna get a client who's gonna need boxes to move yep and it's going to be oh damn I just had and I'm okay with that at some point you have to be over it I was like me with that trash bag full of yoga pants that I had been carrying around for months and months somebody's gonna need these and they're all really good ones like Lululemon expensive ones and I'm just like oh no I'm gonna hold on to these I'm gonna hold on to them well I finally gave them up and then my daughter came home and was like do we have any and I'm like oh I'm that person that drives around with a trash bag full of donated clothes for months and months and months and finally I'm ready to give them away and give them away and then I'm needed I needed one of the things in the back right May keeps telling me excuse me I try and be good about it but it's it's so annoying man keeps telling me she has yes I am right on top of that rtb excuse me they keeps telling me that she has um toys that they collected for Toys for Tots at the place where she works they never showed up to to collect them so she's got the box of toys she's got the box you can send me Dad I'm gonna give them to you so you can bring them to the church okay so you know I mean transferring from your car to my car and they'll probably sit in the back of my car right until I have a chance to to you know it was so frustrating bring it over to Father Healy and say thank them Merry Christmas Lord or whatever but I know space is a hot commodity around here yes well you have to be feeling that too since you've downsized tremendously oh yeah it's it was hard it was hard and in and we have a we have a couple of listings in The Villages and it's just really interesting particularly having just gone through it ourselves people are looking and and it's just such a huge decision for people to decide I'm going to give up the house yeah someday you guys are going to get there yeah oh no we've been wanting to give up the house for years right but but you're too young to still have kids in it so right you're too young to go to The Villages but we're not ready for the villages either we're talking like something like a camper we're just like a get a badass camper and roam around the country I don't know right but you also have to come over and use the pool this is where I live now I just roll right on up right right just come come right around the corner and and you'll be one of our mobile Studio I'm down for it Hank There you go let's I'm not against it let's broadcast from wherever poolside that's it poolside at The Villages I'm down but then we can't talk about the people of the villages I feel like we can if we get there early enough I suppose well you know no or late no what is the slow time at The Villages well speed trap lady is is between 6 30 and 7 30 in the morning so walking the dog and and all of every car goes by and she turns around and goes and it doesn't make any difference how fast and or slow you're going she's she's offended at your speed yeah well that's I mean maybe that's what she does yeah I think that's what she does you know and there's always going to be people that are unhappy with life this is something you can play with them and then of course the other big thing is when the mail comes which is like mid-afternoon-ish you know just just waiting for the for the mail truck to leave and everyone descends ow on the mail room so find the lull in The Villages and we'll have to find and fill that space right and we get an email um last week that we all have to renew our parking stickers oh and that the paperwork would be available on such and such a date and it's going to be drive through renewals we're not even gonna have to get out of our cars fabulous um but the first I happened to be where the where the um offices are just purely by purely by chance yeah the first day that the paperwork was available to fill out Johnny on the spot over there oh my God the line you know people waiting I gotta fill it out I mean we don't have to actually get them for another two weeks but we've got the paperwork we've got it all filled out we're all set and ready to go yeah rtb I definitely want a tour bus that's doable there you go marathon yeah yep who else was in there well we we saw Char we already talked about that and then Zach Brown Yeah well he was just visiting Jack Brown he didn't run no oh no no he didn't run but but he's saying the national anthem entertainment sucks game and then he did a concert the night before yeah and our friend Michelle Brooks Thompson who won um unsung heroes actually got to open it up and do the national anthem at the marathon which is uh pretty amazing that is that's an incredible honor right there I saw something funny about Ryder since we were just talking about tour buses and whatnot oh David Lee Roth explained why Van Halen had them remove all of the brown M M's in their contracts as we've talked about dumb things on riders that bands have demanded and he said it was their little way of making sure the details were taken care of it wasn't necessarily about the M Ms they just wanted to make sure that people were on top of their game and they were showing up and doing the things that they asked for so if they were if the brown M Ms were gone then they were assured that everything else they asked for was taken care of that's it I suppose all right then it's like when people set up traps when when they don't want you to touch something and then they watch him wait for you to do it because when you tell someone not to do something you know they're gonna do it right oh yeah oh yeah you tell kids that whatever you do don't judge that and that's guaranteed to be touched absolutely absolutely it's happening just don't don't say anything they won't touch it don't make a big deal out of it they'll ignore it I saw that NFL draft is also this week Thursday I don't know I have I don't have much for the Patriots you know the Patriots I think I think we're just going to have to suck it up folks we're going to have a couple of years that that aren't going to be that are going to be okay good morning marcina and Sue Lynn I struggle with the two yeah exactly you know but uh yeah I I have no hopes for the Patriots I don't even know I didn't I barely even watched games this past season that's not like us we're a football household yeah we are too and and I and and I just think that plus they've made it so difficult now to watch games yeah because of all the streaming services and all the extra stuff you have to buy you can't watch a baseball game on Friday night unless you have Apple TV oh okay sorry I'm not buying Apple TV to watch the Red Sox oh I already have Apple TV I have all of the services oh good I'll be over I have fomo uh if I if I miss out on a show or that thing I get like dirt I don't know I sweat like I'm missing something I need all the services I tried to downsize I got rid of like Paramount plus and something else but then my husband was like I saw a deal on Paramount plus so I just got it and I'm like no I was trying but I have all of them like even the BBC even the stupid ones like Acorn BBC uh I don't know why I have these they're running to spot no on on uh on TV for some BBC Channel I collect streaming services British TV or something you can't watch them all I I know I don't watch the ball but I need to have them in case I want them yes that's exactly it you settle in on whatever it is you're gonna watch but I don't know why I do it I really don't and I would and I start to watch everything and everything is bad and you know I can't focus right and once again I need something that I can watch while I'm on my phone the whole time anyway yep we thought it was a big deal and she was really interested Matt said he doesn't think it's every Friday Hank just last Friday oh okay thanks Matt I should say yeah um when your wife says you do have Apple TV oh we do okay okay well if she says so I must read it we must um where am I going oh we thought it was a really cool and she was really excited we put it as you know we put a TV in Mariana's room yeah and and the Babe came over and helped us you know set it up as a smart TV and she doesn't watch it yeah you know we were like oh you know is she old enough to give her a TV and it was all this debate between us and her mother and we don't even watch that anymore my kids are like this all day with their damn little kids no they're on their phone oh she does something now they watch it on their phone she has her computer Papa can I have your computer and she's talking to somebody here and they're playing a game over here and then she needs my phone because she's got something else she needs to get going I'm like what are you doing they're gaming but that's what they do now I know they need you'd be more worried about the PC not the TV they don't even care about it no no they really don't nope everything's streaming services at this point and I collect them so let me know if you need anything I'll let you know if it's worth it or not right and we hear sometimes with all these things going on and these and these very mature voices all of a sudden we go in and we're like who are you talking to who's that some 90 year old guy and it's you know some movies she's watching or you know some some I don't know what you call them um like guys like Flamingo um you know they they just do this live stream stuff all the time good morning T nice job once again at the Bloody Mary mix off you guys crushed it and they have found a way know if I could come in and get a Bloody Mary on Tuesday morning I'll be down for that I'll be through with class next week so it doesn't make any difference if you know I won't be going to class I was at that shop the other day and I don't I don't normally go there anymore um and I was starving so I was like put up against it they had a breakfast taco yeah it was delicious really I was blown away wow right because I don't normally like any of their food I feel like it tastes like plastic yep and that I I had a breakfast taco with bacon sprinkles so good well as you know I stopped at the dunks the time is forgotten yeah everything's broken every there's some a new something broken every single time you go oh my gosh and I and I it's the same I'm so boring it's the same order every time and it's the same person most of the time who is taking my order and they managed to screw it up yeah and I I don't I don't understand is that two creams no three creams you don't want Sweet and Low no I want to sweetened that's my favorite drive-through where they hear what they want to hear it's fine oh yeah and then and then you pull it up it's fine one out of ten coffees is okay but if I don't get it see this is why I need a replacement if I don't have this or something I'm off for the rest of the day so if I could replace honestly it's your routine yes so if I could replace this with a bloody mary on Tuesday Morning everybody's going to be happier everybody's going to be happy I'm gonna have a great day I love it rtb is just something she needs no it's not something she needs I'm even make sure there's bacon in it Hank basically it will be a breakfast sandwich with no bread see carb free perfect tea we are down for that beautiful yes please oh my gosh see in most breakfast places are closed on Tuesday yeah a lot of places are closed on Tuesday I I don't think that that's going to be for long I think it's just really in the season right now most places have been like doing weird days off like Monday Tuesday closed or what yeah starting up Wednesday Thursday right I think it'll get better as the season gets closer yeah I'm hoping DJ's Wings where um my daughter's uh our daughter is a man yeah great great ribs too um they're finally open every day now okay but they were closed like in some odd days well it's also a staffing issue we've been talking about that housing is at a premium and we need to help RJ ones and we need more the more staff the merrier as far as I'm concerned but restaurants are just not getting people to work no no and there was Mariana and I were there yesterday because we had to go to Hyannis excuse me and there was um and there was drama in the front of the house oh yes over over who was getting what tables oh oh that's not fun either no no and we were sitting there and and obviously we understand what's going on because we we've been in the Murray's family's been in the restaurant business forever so we know the restaurant business and we're just sitting there and I'm going oh please you know that can can we just resolve this question right yeah we're not real customers but you do this before exactly exactly yeah yeah that was exactly what I was thinking I understand what's going on here because I I know the business but dear God customers don't need that kind of like when I was growing up in Attleboro and my um Uncle Rich was on the police force so he would show up to the parties and be like get out of here before the real cops get here everybody's going away thank you rich thank you my cousin Heather and I would disappear like rats and everybody else would get busted right we appreciated that right right that may or may not have happened and that kind of drama in the front of the house at restaurants happens all the time yeah let's go let's do it before the real people get here right get it out of the way yeah figure out that's not my table that's your table you didn't take my table your table whatever it is just don't do it oh there's always internal drama in any workplace but I feel like that one is definitely a territorial situation absolutely because because you have your your regulars your people right and it's yeah you want the known quantity absolutely right somebody got for the rest of the week for the rest of the week well let's see what is today today's Tuesday I know um oh I have class today um on Thursday I'm almost done right almost done next week's the last week Thursday we're gonna go see Tom Ferry he's he's up in Boston very cool he's in he's in well they call it Boston it's Waltham um which is okay and and then of course this is my birthday weekend so yeah you're busy yeah I'm I'm I'm I'm busy we're celebrating we're celebrating many decades on on Sunday I've got the chili Fest on Saturday so that's gonna be fun yep oh we have two soccer we have two soccer games no we have one soccer game in Fairhaven on on Saturday with Mariano so that'll be dinner off Cape somewhere oh nice yep Sunday I'm gonna be at knock about we've got our heroes in transition fundraiser so team Hazard is going to be there please come and support heroes in transition we need some donations we need to get our team up to par I think we're a couple Grand behind we're gonna rent that that is happening like Cinco de Mayo weekend wow a lot of models coming up so fast and you've got your single to my own decorations already I do yeah last year I got a giant Taco pinata I'm really excited to bust into that so fun also I've got um one of those like little ride on ponies on a stick I don't know what I'm gonna do with that but I've got a big celebration over at thurwood place definitely may or may not be making them ride ponies you're gonna meet the old girls ride ponies yeah I could do it like the Kentucky Derby you know what I mean give everybody you get a pony you get a pony well just just make sure there's medical staff in the room there are levels there are levels this is the younger level this is like the villages level okay okay okay yeah you don't you don't want you know no you don't want you don't want the wrong person bumps The Walker Central is where where I'm usually at on Tuesdays we have a really good time with the gals oh okay you have a great time music bingo today we're gonna be hanging out over there we did some big band music oh they love that stuff I love that stuff are you kidding me I get to let my inner old lady hang out and it makes me so happy oh yeah she is I I've been an old lady since birth my nana and I were best friends we had tea parties we had so many fun things we would go to church um she would give me the dollar I got to put it in I got to wear a little gloves like I have been an old lady since birth so I'm really embracing all this right right like it's almost my time the last four years of of my mother's life she lives in a place like that and and she loved it and you know they they show them movies from you know 40 years ago yes you know and she'd say would I I'd call her every night and I get frustrated with her sometimes because she'd be playing cards with the girls yeah and it'll be 9 30 10 o'clock and she's still not back in a room and I'm saying to my damn it I've got to go to bed mama get back in her room so I can talk to my mother tonight right and she said do you think she cares about you no no Mahjong and and Manhattans like let me go yep so um um where am I going with this so so they would show them these movies and when I would my mother would answer the phone when she wasn't playing cards or whatever and she said oh we saw this great movie I hadn't seen it in such a long time and I said Gee mom um what was the name of it you know I don't know see it didn't matter didn't matter no didn't matter and well okay mom who was in it you know um I'm not sure see but they had a great time she loved watching it it triggered some kind of memory from all those years ago Betty Davis Betty Grable I don't care is it black and white let's go Scarlett O'Hara I will watch gone with the win 150 times I bring it on when I think of Gone With the Wind I think I think of the Carol Burnett sketch yeah you know where she takes the curtain rod and the curtains that's good that's that's Carol Burnett who is she related to um she and and um uh Bill Haber were on that Finding Your Roots thing oh okay on um uh PBS and she and Bill Haber are Justin cousins interesting yes I had one of those moments over the weekend when I was at the breakers and then I forgot about Anderson Cooper being a Vanderbilt right and then I got sucked into like the whole story of all of it now I'm like doing family trees and lineage and reading Rando books and I'm like I don't know why I got in a rabbit hole but I did yeah it happens it happens but I was just fascinated with that in the Gilded Age I love old-timey stuff like that I really I have an appreciation for it oh yeah and all the and and all the mansions and when you think they're they were just Cottages I know what it's like really I I right it's so opulent it's just ridiculous the servants quarters are better than the homes we all live in right now you should have heard my husband as we're strolling the lawn of the Elms or whatever one of their mansions and he's just like Ugh it's all right I mean when you've been to Europe as much as we have and I'm like I just looked at him and I was like seriously well excuse me when you've been to Europe as much as we have oh my goodness this isn't very old these are thousands of years I'm like all right we gotta go we gotta get out of here oh my gosh well that would happen only Meanwhile we're living in a van down by the river Mr opulence right well that would happen all the time when I when when I worked for the Italian company and and they would come over here and and I I would take a day to show around Boston yeah and they would like yeah okay and right yeah you know I mean by the water I'd have some fish right I mean the classic line from one of the most we have buttholes older than this it's so true though they're not wrong oh no they're not wrong at all no nothing historical about it they're like oh this is cute yep absolutely not you you drive I probably you know this um um you you drive in from the airport in in Rome and here if you're driving up 93 you see the the gas tank yeah in Rome you're leaving the airport and you look to the left oh there's the Coliseum yeah and you drive by and people just drive by like it's it's nothing I know I know they see it every day that's exactly well that's exactly it you do see it every day good morning Charlene Mariana just saw a great movie this week what did she see she doesn't know either probably hi Gloria oh I hope you're on the mend oh is it Mari is it this week or last week she saw the movie what's that the movie health class oh the movie yes Boys and Girls Together she said wonder why is she in um um fifth okay a couple of parents opted out you know fine so they watched it just as like a mixed class yeah okay and she said she said one boy had his head down and she wasn't sure if he was crying I feel like I had that now maybe it was fourth grade yeah it was it fourth grade that we had it she had I had the talk in the fourth grade did you go to Catholic school not at that time oh okay I didn't go to Catholic school until I went to Catholic school and we never we never had that movie the priest came in and talked to the boys and the girls and and it was just this big circular conversation that he left feeling like he had talked to us about it and we left sat there when we left sitting and going what happened what did Phil did you just talk about that was so awkward I don't even know what he said what did he say now all the girls got to go to the cafeteria it's fourth grade and remember it vividly because Fawn Landry asked if she could bottle her period could she grow babies and I burst out laughing and I'll never forget that situation this is a fourth grade Meme and I remember her first Anne's last name and the question that she did in fact ask and I was like I just looked over and I was like that can't happen can that happen oh my God sorry fine Landry oh Maurice is there in fourth yeah fourth grade different rooms yeah I was in the cafeteria at Hyman fine go ahead laugh it up yep and then when all the boys were in the other area and then when I get old enough my mother gave me honest to God my mother gave me a book oh yeah if you have any questions ask your father I would oh well by then I kind of knew anyway and it was like yeah but no my parents it was never addressed oh no oh no I mean which is weird because my mother's a nurse one would think that we would give that talk but my mother pretended like that didn't exist I mean growing up growing up Irish really Irish and really Catholic yeah you just didn't we didn't talk about that you just didn't talk about that stuff but somehow you had little brothers and sisters yeah and and cousins that's embarrassing because I was in eighth grade when my mom got pregnant and she had braces do you know how embarrassing that is I was in the eighth grade when my mother got pregnant my kid brother is is um is is 14 years younger than I am yeah yeah I just remember Mom lost weight I started wearing tight dresses dyed her hair blonde and all of a sudden I had a baby brother on the way it was appalling oh my God it is I'm so embarrassing but that's the truth when you're in high school and your mother's pregnant with braces it's embarrassing yeah wow also my parents still did that stuff what well no no no no no no no here's the thing here's the thing as a boy it was like Hey Dad no one but then it was like my mother yeah exactly ew not my Satan mother but hey Dad good job buddy glad you can still well I was the one the one delivery room with my mother when my brother was born me I was you yes my dad was like nasty can go in that worked then it was a C-section so I'm sitting here watching the doctor cut my mother open and just like put her internal organs yes on her rest them on her yes and I'm sitting there like what the why am I here what is happening Mari had a C-section me mommy had a C-section so I was I was I was in I was in the room with her and it was the same kind of yeah yeah and then I'm looking and I'm going what's that what's that gonna go back in there what's that blue thing oh it's the baby it yeah I swore that in there I was never having children obviously that didn't happen for me but right right and then she and after the blue thing came out then she said you know what I'm really not feeling good and the nurse said just hang on honey we haven't put everything back on yet that's a lot it's a lot I mean but at least I was the husband I wasn't I wasn't the daughter no I was the daughter I was there my dad was like no you could go I cannot see that why couldn't it was grossed out I couldn't do it well you did everything else dad well yeah but he had never had a C-section baby before so that was an emergency C-section and he was not about to see her insights oh okay couldn't do it physically when like when when my kid brother was born the one who's 14 years younger than me um my dad took took my mother to the hospital in of course in the middle of the night yeah but then he had to come home I had a broken arm at the time so I need people to help me do things so I hey Dad I'm going to brush with you before I go to school okay because he was always putting a toothpaste on my toothbrush and I I go to brush my teeth dad what did she put on my tooth he put shaving cream on my toothbrush ah he was so like God God he was so like nervous and everything oh poor thing you know and and yeah nope so yeah I I was I was there when my my baby brother who now works in the weather Department of Fox News yeah oh Ethan you poor thing you never had a chance and you changed his diapers I did oh God yeah I was I was his extra mom I was old my mother left me in charge one time and I dyed his hair blonde because he begged me to do it she never let me babysit again gee I wonder why I will absolutely take that turn every single time you give it to me oh you don't want me to babysit that not a problem not a problem I gotta do is bleach your baby brother's hair I thought she's gonna murder me he wanted it he wanted it he got it he looked like Billy Idol I loved it all right that's gonna wrap things up for us we're gonna get to our regular
