let's do it Hank we're live hey good morning boys and girls how are you hey I'm not bad here we go we survived your Easter good morning Lauren I survived yeah I survived Easter it was it was it was nice we went to my brother-in-law's happy to say I was not the oldest person there um my saint and mother-in-law was there so I was just the second oldest person oh perfect which I guess is a bit of a thank cape and Islands Kia hey we're here and my little vehicle is getting very much noticed I have you know the amount of stuff that I fit into that trunk on my way back from Kia I should be a commercial well well then you should be we had two sets of bunk beds we also had all like the amount of stuff in organizational it was pretty impressive two sets of bunk beds yeah four beds in other words yes in that in my in my one room yeah in that in that rather small yeah vehicle it's a nice vehicle I mean this wall is in a pejorative now it's just not a larger punch with the amount of stuff yeah my husband you should have seen him unloading dinos is now our test space for trivia where we we've got a bunch of room and we can test drive all kinds of stuff in there so it was like a clown car I was like what else and he keeps buying all these fun games because we're test driving some outdoor games and beats of strength um but the amount of stuff that we traveled with yesterday we could have done our own circus all we needed was a pop-up tent and we were there to entertain ready and you probably could have put the pop-up tent on the roof or something yeah absolutely also I want to talk about Bloody Mary mixoff aston's Bloody Mary mix-off is happening in Hyannis on Sunday at embargo our good friend Marissa asked me to make a mention of it they do a really good job raising money a hundred percent of the proceeds go to the kind of Kennedy Donovan Center uh that works with autistic children and kids with just a need learning development issue it's a really good one so yeah it really is so a hundred percent last year I think they raised almost forty thousand fifty thousand on this touchscreen one event so it really is an amazing thing they do great work and uh definitely if you're in your Hyannis area on Sunday go for a Bloody Mary T makes my favorite right now and Gourmet brunch yeah they're pretty good you've got your favorite though everybody's got a favorite one how they like it yep my my favorite is over at Holly Ridge Golf Club I don't quite know how they make it um but they use the Cape Cod the Cape Cod Bloody Mary mix okay and that seems to be the seems to be the difference either that or one of them it's Christie's Christie's makes it and I remember my aunt saying that specifically she would come to the cape yeah to get bottles of this Christy's Old Cape Cod Bloody Mary mix yeah it's really good and after playing 18 holes just and then go home and take a nap describe the perfect afternoon yes yeah you're getting ready for golfing season you're excited yeah gonna um uh Mari has arranged for a foursome for on my birthday oh very nice yep yep my my buddy Paul who I play golf with all the time um is going to play and uh our friend Tim and my youngest brother um we're all gonna we're all gonna play on my birthday and then they're taking me to dinner I believe at the old Norman's Inn oh very nice yes that sounds perfect nice and leisurely for for the big numbered birthday yes yes for the for the older person we got to take it kind of slow well you're raising money for your birthday which I saw like oh the Dolphins yeah I I have never done that um you know the you know for your birthday get people to donate to something and um but I saw this come up and and we're big fans of the Clearwater Aquarium marine aquarium down in uh down in Clearwater uh we're big fans of Clearwater big fans of the aquarium and Mariana is going to Camp there very cool at the at the end of June um and it's not really you know people who go there they they get disappointed sometimes because there's not a lot of um you know multi-colored fish and all kinds of whatever whatever swimming yeah it's like a hospital so it's um you know the dolphins that are there um they just took in a dolphin who um can't hear so they can only fish and find their food using the sonar right and if they can't hear they can't find food they can't find food and they can't and they can't survive so they just took in um took in a um another dolphin um but you know all the everything that's there the turtles the the whatever's there's there's a little something not quite right well yeah that's what we have in the Woods Hole aquarium too right yeah dilapidated fish it's fine right right right you know but they built a whole new version but there's a little home for that and also it gives us a little insight as to the species and what's what's going on with them so right and and Mariana um the week she's going give us their broken fish yes the the week she's going she's going to the junior marine biologist Camp oh so she's she's very cool she's really excited about about doing that and the nice thing is it's in the morning so we will bring her over to camp and then we'll have the mornings to ourselves Mariana we love you you know we do but we'll have the mornings to ourselves me and Mari and and our daughter Megan and we can pull side pool side sounds perfect go back to bed um and then pick her up at 12 30 or something and then by that time we'll be ready to rock there you go I like it yeah I need a vacation like that are you doing anything for April vacation you still have school how many more weeks Professor uh I am done April 27th uh well if it wasn't canceled for you sooner because you had a bizarre situation that happened to you in the classroom yeah folks this is really strange hey cam has had never happened to me in all my years I um went to my classroom on Thursday and a couple of students were standing outside and they looked at me and they said no one's in there and they pointed to the classroom and the lights were off and I said how come no one's in there and they said well because there's some woman in there I guess a faculty person saying your class is canceled and I said really I said well what are you guys doing here well we didn't get the email so we weren't sure I said well thanks for staying and I went in turn the light on it's a woman sitting at the table she has papers on the desk and everything and she looks up and she sees me and it's like she saw a ghost and I said um I didn't cancel my class what are you doing and at that point someone said something to me and I turned around for maybe 15 seconds to to answer the question yeah I turned back she was gone so weird gone and and I've asked around I went back to our department office said something to the admin who has worked at Bridgewater State University forever she said I've never heard anything like that happen maybe it was a ghost I don't is it a ghost teacher I don't know no she was did you see her leave the classroom or glimpse of her no one did no no one said it could have been a ghost no one saw her leave it was so bizarre I mean if it was a legit faculty person who somehow ended up in the wrong room most if not all would stop and say hey I'm Professor so-and-so geez I didn't think you were using the room right so I'm just hanging out here to my next class it was an apparition gosh I'm sorry or whatever absolutely the strangest it's a Ghostbusters thing could be I don't know the teacher and the librarian right right kind of kind of kind of long stringy black hair see black glasses you know I thought well maybe Kyle maybe she's an English teacher I don't know kind of look like that crazy English teacher that they have at some point in time you know who loves poetry it's a word type that's awesome I really love that I think it is creepy Nat like I definitely yeah it was a ghost yeah creepy so bizarre so I sent a note to Mike to my students last night and by the way I'm in class and I said unless something else Bizarro happens I'll see you tomorrow wild wild yeah and nobody knows who she is no one has been able to identify her I don't know I don't know but she she was really unhappy to see me I'll tell you well it ruined her her moment I know it and and have the only reaction being oops not I'm sorry or give me a minute and I'll get out of here or I don't know I got a little chills I'm just thinking that this is not just going this was not a human good morning Eva thanks for checking in with us so we'll see who shows up this afternoon yeah right yep please keep us updated if I want to hear if it was an actual person or be still if it's not yep that's weird it was weird hot second um was it a fever dream that I had or did you say that you won like a grand on something or was that somebody using your likeness because it was so weird all of a sudden I got like some sort of thing and it was a video of cam or did I dream this it was a video of him being like I won seven thousand five hundred dollars and you can't you show it where on Facebook or social I don't Instagram we fall I I follow cam I I didn't see that I don't know whether I was I don't mean it didn't happen but um ghost teachers so maybe I'm just remembering something or maybe I just had a dream about it do you ever wake up and you can't place whether that really happened or if it was like and I'll even ask my husband sometimes was that real life or did I have that address no Stephanie you dream that right oh okay just checking does it there was a study out last week and and I don't remember the details so I don't know why I'm exactly bringing it up um where someone was explaining what the dreams actually mean oh there is you know if this is going this isn't it yeah covered University or something if this is happening you're concerned about this if you think your teeth are loose you're concerned about that I mean it was all kind of I have dreams about losing my teeth really I do I have dreams about falling on my face and losing my teeth I don't know why that's weird it is weird and it means something if we if we can find that study uh folks out there do a little homework good morning look up look up the study from Harvard University from last week about about dreams and um we'll we'll try no dreams about teeth falling out are very common we'll try to figure out what's wrong with Stephanie see no it says very common there we go she's got it thank you it includes stress personal loss and real life grinding so yep I've got check check any check right stress not you yeah right no me never no no and lost in the family my daughter's been going through something so maybe that's why maybe I had the weird tooth dreams okay Lauren says it means important life changes I've been going through this little metamorphosis five years supporting life changes it's fine babe okay he's fine he's not gonna get like now he's still here okay we're getting to go away this weekend for like one night where you going Newport is it a sequel that's cool yeah we just need to get away right we need to not be in this house just for a day yep and the kids and the stress and the both him and I have already had this conversation we are not talking about work also means a job change thank you oh boy I can't the N is full I've I've got too many things going on at once I don't need the word change right now do you know where you're staying in Newport and also no yeah the Viking oh the Vikings nice nice yeah because I want it to be in the thick of it and be able to walk around as much as I wanted or not have to leave at all right some good restaurants some good bars all all around through there yep yep I love it my mom went to Salve so I'm I'm oh she's one of those well she was a nurse I mean that's what their specialty is now yes well now now it's co-ed so well when I when she was going through her master's program I was young so I would go and attend classes which is why I have Randall medical knowledge of things that I don't know why okay and my husband's just like oh you did all the right things your mom said and I'm like I know and I don't know where I know because I just said in the class but I really I audited all of her classes so okay that's pretty good at most medical things the algebra didn't seem to sink in but all the other stuff I got I guess that's a good thing hi hi Auntie Sheila she's that we had our family text message that never ends because we have so many family members so at one point on Easter when I was doing all of my projects and tearing apart my garage I had 127 text messages which I love that people check in with me but I'm also in like three or four group chats from hell and so if I don't stay on top of it sometimes I have to take one person out of the group chat and text them and I'm like can you catch me up so I don't have to reread and figure out what all this back and forth jokes were between people that has nothing to do with me just tell me what I need to know thanks I hate the group chats makes me crazy yeah yeah oh no they do you can't you can't follow them it does um also the Cape Cod Times in ganet has got their uh Community Choice Awards and I would love your vote uh if you have time in your day and also I'm my trophies are seemingly getting moved down here see my broken Quahog I saw those I didn't I didn't quite know what they were but it's my um stuffed Quahog competition the best stuff yeah you stuff to go hug yeah and you made it yeah and it was the best twice God you're multi-talented good Heavens I did I wanted to like freeze them there was like I really looked at this Avenue of making my stuffies they were stuffy Stuffies my husband made a t-shirt it was very inappropriate it said Wampum good and I was like I don't I don't think we can do that no no no that other than me that never saw the light of day until I'm sharing with you you're right you managed to share something every week you know I try I give and I give you know I get I got something out of here last week Finish is for the Falmouth Road Race so um it's it's gonna start getting busier and busier so plan your trivia schedule with us because you'll get left out in the cold and you won't have a table and you'll be those people holding up your paper oh there's there's one or two hecklers in that trivia group yeah and there's one or two I know everything about everything's oh so I like it though I like when they fight with us about the answers because we have to get very granular and very specific you didn't say that right what you should have said was and I'm like okay okay here's a two dollar scratch ticket we bring for the winers go away hey a woman come over to me at the end of it you handle handling well well you know Mama five never right right I'll be here all day somebody always thinks something I know what if you had a teenager last right I'm so used to it I was I forget where I was oh yesterday I saw Kai from E for all and she's like you notice how whenever a story gets even worse Stephanie's smile gets bigger yeah and I'm like yeah it's because I like it's my internal oh my God it's not bad it's real bad right this is awful and I'm telling myself to smile correct so I can't I can't wait to find a place to talk about it yeah I do it's like that psych yourself out thing right do it yep it's bad it's bad it's real bad I'm just gonna smile really big and hope it goes away so awful today is National clean up your pantry day oh I knew I was gearing up for something in this damn house over there who knows I tore apart my garage I'm really proud of it in fact I I've been having showings of my laundry room just because I'm really proud of it oh a random neighborhood kid in there and I was like you want to see my garage but me it's really not that clean but where did all the stuff go it just got organized I had some organizational racks I found some organizational Solutions you know those Container Stores I love them you get the big plastic containers and you put stuff in I feel much better when things are organized where they need to be and my husband's like you don't need to make that much room in there but I'm like but I do and I need to be way more organized than I am because I'm so sick of not being able to find stuff when I need it it is my pet peeve in this house which is a decent sized house but it's full of people exactly so we need to be the most organized I possibly can be and I'm working on I'm right on top of that rose right I never know when I open the door in the morning to come in who's going to be in the kitchen no or what's in the kitchen or What's blocking the door or what you're standing on do I know you right where did you come from it it absolutely it's a bleep show around here good morning Don good morning Bree yes organized space is equal organized Minds yeah I need something to be organized because up here it ain't happening I thought I thought Steph was coming out this morning to greet me and then I found out she was actually letting the dog out to poop so I know right clothes Hank close I'm not always in that night she's never done this in almost a year we've been doing this almost a year yeah usually I go out the back but it's so nice out front now and uh my dog is fat enough now where she can't squeeze under she's old enough okay guys she's like this big okay but she's old enough and now she's like got that cataract film so she's just like she's just old and she smells and she's old and she's unhappy and she's old and I'm just waiting for this dog to go we've stopped saying an old and old and old some of us get a little sensitive to that you know this dog is gonna live forever Just because I want her to just you know get into the next life passing life of things cross the Rainbow Bridge but those are that don't go those are the dogs that are the hangar otters those are when you go over your friend's house they're like here's my dog and I'm like what it's 105. why is this dog still here it's not even happy to be here no no this is where this dock is so I'm just trying to give her her last moments of Happiness you're around the front yard like a little bunny you're such a kind person and hoping Eagle eats her or at least the hawk comes along I don't know horrible I know but honestly it's becoming a chore I suppose you could just open the door and then close it and never go back out I'll be devastated when she does pass but at this time it's just she's a lot but I mean she's I mean how do you even know she's around she's this big she's she makes sure she's noticed oh okay when we're at my brother-in-law's um uh Sunday for for Easter um my nephew Carson two of his friends came and they have a female Greyhound oh my gosh what a beautiful dog we had a we had a greyhound years ago was a it was a male I mean it came up to like here on yeah um but it but it took a shining tip to Mariana and Mariana was sitting on the floor with her iPad and and Sahara just sat down next to her and went to sleep your wife said we're gonna get we're gonna get sued by old dogs and English teachers it's the same thing good morning Mr Murphy I have a video coming for you I promise today he's got a new book that's coming out another one yeah the another of their series of unusual objects and uh definitely check them out yeah I've got to figure out which one of your websites are going to push people to drop your uh book information in the chat if you're still here Ted so that people can get it because it's coming out April 25th or 26th later on this month he spoke at Mariana's School in the Mariana's class and she said it was a boy and that's it we've got to get our local authors to have their books and more spaces throughout the cape I know that has become a point of con contention because not all of them have some of our local artists and we have amazing local local authors and artists here on the cape and I would like to Showcase more of them it's like the independent it's like the independent bookstores you can find local local authors yeah go to the the big ones in the mall or whatever it did well even if you've got a shop you can have a couple of local books in your shop and sell them right I've had a couple of requests from other authors doing some fun kids book stuff and I said absolutely I will always have you on my show and you can always share where it is we can find your books because they need to be out and around the bookstore in downtown Falmouth I forget I forget the name of it they have all kinds of local local um hey cousins authors yes yeah that's a really cool I love independent bookstores yeah me too when I when I worked in um in in Rhode Island and Providence for United Way We Were up on um up on College Hill and Mari always knew when I had a bad day because I would come and there was there was some independent bookstore not far from us and if I came in with a bag of books from the Independent bookstore she said oh rough day yeah because doesn't really make you feel better though oh yeah yeah I'm okay with that I got a stack of books and I'm like I feel lighter I feel happier like I just went to the Scholastics book fair right and and their top 25 most of them were authors and books that weren't like on the New York Times bestseller list for the Boston Globe business I like that they would they were local local authors and um and local books because usually those books aren't aren't the best books they're just the ones that the Publishers are trying to sell right so it makes sense totally weird activitybooks.com and he Ted has a signing at a cousins book signing uh May 7th very cool from two to four yeah one of my favorite book shops that's my first house when I moved here uh was downtown Falmouth really yep so I take my oldest into the stroller and we'd go to eight cousins books yeah go chill in the library parking lot area and the green it was nice I liked being down that way yeah it was a walkable yeah one of the nice things about living here in this in this community as opposed to sandwich you can actually get to Falmouth from here yes um living in Sandwich you can't get development Falmouth you know isn't even on the Hyannis is yeah but but Falmouth is is a is a lot better because um you used to be able to drive through the base before 9 11 and they and they shut down the cut through to the base and they said they were going to open it again and they just they just never have so to get from Sandwich to Falmouth is like we're going to go to Mashpee and then we go yeah it's not worth it especially not right now they're tearing up the entire Cape oh my gosh it's ridiculous yeah it's just it's just it's it's you can't go anywhere without detour detour detour detour I know they should be doing this in the middle of the night but that's what I thought they always did overnight work yeah stuff like that they'd work on the bridge overnight and be gone by six that would be great we signed up for that do we have that in the budget now no I didn't think exactly well well that's that that that's overtime heck that's not overtime not Rachel I can't get there from here yeah that's double time I mean working on the bridge overnight that's that's done I know I know did uh you get your taxes done my friend nope all right then I the accountant got in touch and said uh are you going to be filing your taxes with me this year and I went yes but uh we need an extension I just can't get to it yeah sorry I I just just can't get to it it's been one of those years and I feel like we've got extra days this year for something yeah it's the 18th because um the 15th is a Saturday and then Monday and then 15 Monday the 17th is a holiday at least here so it's not till Tuesday the 18th but the interesting thing was he said okay so you want an extension but how much you're going to send in now anyway yeah oh uh the fun stuff yup call Mari I don't know oh hugs MK we got a couple of West coasters checking in with us today really yep she was pulling an all-nighter so she was checking in with us now that is a long ass day yeah and she's looking for her tax stuff she's looking for her tax stuff oh yeah oh man like where is it yeah right and we moved of course halfway through the year last year so oh yeah that's not fun you know who who knows where half the stuff is yeah I know we put it somewhere in a box so we wouldn't lose it yep once again what did I post over the weekend about the hiding of the eggs I can't even find the eggs I brought bought eggs to hide I can't find anything doesn't that happen all the time though yes that's why you're trying to get organized you're so proud of yourself you go out you get them early I'm going to be organized not going to be running around at the last minute put these somewhere safe and there's nothing there I don't know where that is we're safe is Ohio I'll find it somewhere around July 4th when I'm looking for the things to decorate for the Fourth of July right and then I'll find the Easter eggs right I'll go oh there and then you'll find the Christmas decorations absolutely and then at Christmas you'll find oh this is what the Fourth of July decoration hey I just uncovered Cinco de Mayo stuff the other day so I'm feeling on top of it so oh that's where I put it good look at me I'm on time this year but but you can't lose it between now and I know I know that's why I put it with an i i distance down here okay God it's awful we've got stacks of stuff everywhere right definitely anybody that's so good at organizing I've got the bins I just need to get organized so if you want to volunteer your time over here at lemonade you know I'm all about it um an organizing party yeah whatever you got work hours you got volunteer hours I'll sign off on those you got a senior project I'll sign off on that you've been you've been sentenced to community yeah whatever community service I'll take it I don't care however it is that you need to get hours I'm a girl oh okay yes thank you Lauren I appreciate that rpb how are you the Robert Paul group yes yes those are office Pez that was one of our trivia questions oh tonight trivia Cliff is bringing back Brad Pitt or lasers Brad Pitt or lasers so basically you have to decide which is older Brad Pitt or lasers really Brad Pitt's older than lasers just in case you were wondering I did not know that most random trivia thing he's ever done so one of the questions was who's older Chuck Berry or Pez Chuck Berry yeah because Chuck Berry is also dead but right he came before Pez so that is some of the trivia questions we do it's not that you have to have all that useless knowledge yeah we definitely make it fun like last week someone was like why aren't you doing the dogs like for instance you brought up the Greyhound yeah the only dog that can win a sustained race is it Greyhound is a greyhound with a cheetah yeah they're amazingly fast random trivia questions that we have so you never know what you're gonna get but we always do are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader oh yeah somehow our Greyhound and I don't know how this happened would get out during thunderstorms I don't know how I don't know why we opened the door I I don't know what happened and and she would she would get out and she would start to run the block that that we would that we would walk her and it's virtually possible to catch her yeah so there were neighbors that I would call and I'd say hey sorry I know it's raining like hell uh but um your name was Fuzzy Fuzzy's out again and and we would couple guys who get in their cars and a couple guys would walk and we just sold slowly shrink the area where she could run until I could get close enough to her and I could grab her yeah and put her in the car that does not sound like fun no it wasn't it wasn't and she was so frightened oh poor fuzzy yes look at we are being watched in Portugal right now what's up Tom how's your girl how's Madeira please tell me you're sitting somewhere warm with wine what time is it over there it's afternoonish right yeah there yeah three hour five hours yeah is that one one or two yeah what time is it over there oh definitely one time oh definitely definitely let's go to lunch and have wine absolutely my first experience is working with with um Europeans the company I work for in Italy um I would I would go over and they'd say well time to go to lunch I love their work days over there they take two and a half hours for lunch do you mind if we have wine with lunch no hey guys look this is you this is your party not mine and then we'd be finished and I'd say okay back to the office oh no we have to have coffee yeah and we'd go someplace else and then we get back to we've been like a two and a half three hour lunch it's fabulous and then they work too late at nine o'clock and I'd go home and have dinner right and then I'm sitting in the office at 7 7 30 in the morning being the uptight American waiting for them yeah they're not even awake yet now they're rolling in at 9 30. yep and then at noon time we gotta go to lunch that's it like wow it's a good life this is good I like slow living exactly and the food was fabulous and I took Marion Mega over with me once we all lost weight yeah because you're active you're active and the food is like you know they killed the Kyle this morning I know and you know you're having a steak tonight I mean yeah there's no there's no preservatives and all the vegetables could pick that morning and it's it's it's wonderful but I made the mistake of going out with somebody and I ordered shrimp scampi the prawns yeah with the heads yeah I'm okay with it it doesn't bother me Oh I thought I tried so hard I tried to see the face of your shrimp to be you know oh these are wonderful and inside I'm going uh but I managed to fight my way through enough of them you can't find casurla over there now that's an American Portuguese thing there'll be other Foods over there they cook everything and the lava rocks over there find some of that and all the breads all the bread oh Portuguese bread yeah oh yep what's your favorite thing you've had over there so far all the desserts I ate so many desserts really but it was fine I was doing 22 000 steps and we were climbing up mountains so I was fine yeah you needed the Sugar Rush and and the calories weren't going to stay exactly it didn't matter at that point that'll do it so I mean we lived to eat over there it was fabulous yep but I was absolutely sick of beef oh over it by the time I left there how long are you there I have a chicken um when we were in Portugal we were there for 12 days wow yeah and we loved every ounce of it we really did it was great except when we were on the island of Pico where we got aguardentaid what does that mean agridente is like grappa oh yeah I know Grandpa and every single person there makes their own wine so every single person makes their own aguardente and it it's flavored to absolutely everything from mint to Berry to whatever and everybody takes pride and making sure that you have it I I feel like it's like what they do to Americans to make us feel like oh we got to do this because everybody here does this only they don't they watch you do it right and then you promptly die I've never had the worst hangover in my entire life waking up the next day my husband's like want to go dig through caves and I'm like oh yeah yep but I did I had the same experience it was awful I had the same experience in Italy at the end of dinner they put the grappler on the table and report on let's go toss it down and I same thing I noticed I tossed it and the rest of them it's one of them yeah and then I'm like oh I don't feel so good right can I go back to the hotel now stupid stupid American what time are you getting in the off tomorrow I won't be there at 7 30. oh a steak on a rock that there's apparently some kind of U.S government warning um about they've had some riots in France because the president wanted to um raise the retirement age to like I don't know 62. one year yeah exactly and and I mean it's not it's not a thing anymore I don't think but they've canceled the the school district has decided to cancel the trip and the parents have been able to get some of their money back but not all of all of it because the the contract says you know if the trip is canceled because of you know unsafe situations or whatever yeah they would get all their money back and and the uh uh trip company is saying no no no no that only works if we cancel the trip you cancel the trip there's no reason why you can't go to France so it's the district that's being overly cautious well then they should reimburse the parents yeah yeah the district is being overly cautious yeah and I feel like they should be over they they should be paying the parents back right because they're the ones who chose to cancel I just go we're going yeah we're going to France how do we go by ourselves well Kim Kim's out there watching cam you've been to Paris a couple times it seems from what you over there yeah right exactly we have got um I am raising money for Heroes in transition that is quickly coming up we have a fundraiser that's happening on the 23rd over at knock about from 11-1 what a wonderful day the 23rd I know right yes oh that's your birthday he got all excited so we're doing that fundraiser that is ongoing so if you've got a little bit of money and you would like to make a donation to heroes in transition which does wonderful things for our returning soldiers from counseling to finding them a job to helping them acclimate for any life situation it is a really wonderful organization and Nicole Spencer does a great job in organizing all of us for this I'm going to be driving a van for two days with a bunch of smelly Runners that are going to be completing individual marathons the stuff that happens in that van I don't want to know no you don't but it's a bonding experience we are definitely a team oh boy we are a team oh boy it is it is super fun though and just helping each other the camaraderie is awesome trying to stay awake while they're running in pure darkness which is a little bit scary in the nighttime hours it's gonna be well especially when they're out by where um The Beachcomber is we'll get to the Beachcomber conversation in a hot minute and there's Coyotes out there like following them in the middle of the night just like hey what is this I mean this is not super dangerous they're not interested in you really so what do you do if you see the code you start flashing your lights or something oh I'm I'm very loud no I know I know shocking guys the coyotes you guys I rolled out my window and I'm banging on the side of the van I am now just to also make our Runners feel a little bit safer because it's kind of scary yeah but I'm here I'm I did okay I I need I need to I need to work a little but I'm I'm it's okay it was really funny because my daughter who is I've been raised in a radio studio all of her life yeah we were listening to one of your things did I hear the clicking of the mouse did I I was like look I'm so proud it was like a hot moment where she like heard something and knew exactly what had happened but it made me proud so I'm raising them right that's right she knows the important things in life the funny part was though she heard you on the radio and she goes I want a show I said I've been telling you to do your own damn show right since we had this radio station I like the younger voice yes I like what they have to say I like the music that she chooses we've got a couple of French weirdo songs in there on the weekends because my daughter picked them yes Edith Edith um see you found one yeah I said P out for pilaf I'm not sure if it's the rights or or whatever I was like I know and she's got some got some Spanish favorites in there also she's been flavoring them in on the weekends and I'm like I love it oh yeah especially if I'm cleaning or listening to Lemonade you know as my soundtrack for whatever it is oh you've seen her movies I love you Matt I don't know was was that acting or was that real right yeah exactly was it me or was it a fever dream please right seriously Kim I've not heard back either way we've been spicing in some um cultural tunes on the weekends you never know when they're gonna pop up but they always bring a smile to my face I have no idea what they're singing about yeah they could be singing about you know usually an open hoes I don't know you usually in the first 20 minutes of the hour all of a sudden it's the Sun that comes out of nowhere right I love that yeah and also local artists we do play local artists we've got a submission that's coming up and a new release for a couple of local artists too good yeah so those will be back into the rotation inclusion it's her son Chase's senior project from Ashby high school and they're having a big old raucous party over at I believe the high school and a bunch of bands are thrown their their weight and and she's got to get some hours but um pick up time for her is anywhere between 2 and 6 30. whenever whenever play practice is over or um yeah but during the day Hank it's never over we live too close to the school yeah so we get the calls all day long um can you bring me a banana um can you can you get my sports bra um do you I need an extra pair of socks uh can you find this one piece of paper that I left in the left hand side of my room underneath the book that's underneath the other thing that I forgot that I really need today um this is all like all day every day the two the both of them right both of them both of them we live too close to the school yep yeah you do so now they just think that where they know mom and dad are home right it's not that we're not homeworking we're just home so we're the working part kind of gets we're just there to serve right well of course they're teenagers oh my God of course you're there to serve so that's why I'm working on getting everything a little bit more systemized and organized around here it's not helping it's National clean out your closet day I've been trying to clean it out of my entire life you know we just moved in in June and we've already started to look at our cabinets in our closets going oh God we've got to reorganize and we've been there yeah not all that long yeah and there's still stuff and then you can't find stuff and well because then you get tired and then you leave it for later and later never comes I mean later is always coming but there's always other projects right Mari was was making stuff for you know Easter she couldn't find the breadcrumbs I know I bought bread crumbs show me about the microwave the breadcrumbs from the microwave we have no idea how they got there except I know I didn't do it that's that's the most important thing I didn't do it let's make it that's my whole family's answer to absolutely everything they don't even bother saying I didn't do it anymore when I asked where is this it's uh it's not even a word and they all do it now even my husband does it I think that means I don't know but they don't even say it anymore I don't know yeah that's what it is oh all of them right no words no words just no that noise I don't ask questions anymore and then they're like what did you ask me I because I didn't want to hear that noise right didn't want to hear it I knew you didn't know the answers exactly oh that's too funny that's too funny teachers right now it really is and Mariana was turning into a teenager she has turned 11. that's it and turned 11 and started painting her nails she's ready to go oh she's ready to go she's ready to go she had she had such a weekend she had such a Saturday we had a soccer game a regular travel soccer game Saturday morning and Dennis at nine yeah then we went up to Foxboro and she played in a friendly at um Gillette Stadium she's on the field until it's Stadium playing soccer and then we had to hang around so we went out to Miami made a reservation at a at a restaurant because everyone else was going to tailgate and when I got a tailgate for four hours yeah right we're just not going to do that um nothing we don't love tailgating but no um and and then we came back and was starting to get cold and with the Revolution game and uh although uh youth soccer kids were going to haul out this big banner for I think United Healthcare everyone is bundled up hats gloves yeah because it's freezing stuff Mariana has on her shorts and a sweatshirt aren't you cold honey nope don't you want to at least put like you know your pants on nope I'm good so they go running out onto the field and all these kids where's Mariana oh yeah she's the only one in shorts over there so we finally got her back and it was like aren't you cold nope that is so my son and she did she did take a you know take a take a blanket and kind of wrap it around her yeah but it was like nope not cold that's what they're comfortable wearing that's it I'm good that is my child he would be in shorts 24 7. in the yesterday shirtless playing basketball outside I'm like it's like 40 degrees oh yeah at the game they were again younger younger people and it was colder Cape cotters we're hearty folk like it was cold at the stadium and and they're doing the stadium Cam and everything and there are all kinds of people with their shirts off twirling their t-shirts and everything don't you remember when we were young though Hank we would swim our lips were blue we didn't care oh no we do not care nope nope nope temperature does not affect us we don't care oh hey cousin Aaron cousin Aaron chips in with wait until seventh grade I'm convinced that's the worst year yeah I have to agree with you on that because seventh grade was not amazing he's in eighth now and like we're having the bet we're having a great year yeah but seventh was a that was a bad year I don't know they're just defiant they don't want to hear anything they don't know you've mentioned yeah yeah so he's actually planning a sandwich Plunge um I think for Veterans Day that we're talking about it so it's going to be a big big to do and it's got a lot of like medicinal qualities mental mindset regeneration and just training your brain it supposedly resets your whole body system right I'm not down for it though I'll watch it I'll support you I might try it one time but supposedly it's really good oh see Mari says Tom Ferry does it all the time the cold water plunge oh does he really okay Tom Tom Ferry is the um uh real estate Guru who we uh attend a lot of his a here until three o'clock she's like I know I saw you driving hahaha because you can't miss my vehicle no oh that's right she was right behind you right in front of you or something exactly and she was trying to get your attention yeah not well you did because I'm like where is my phone where's my phone my car somewhere well at least it wasn't my mother calling you oh why she's been calling you yeah my mother passed away five or six years ago now she calls me um I haven't been able like a lot of folks I I can't take you know the phone number out of the phone or anything and at random times the phone will ring and we called my mother Nana and it says Nana and the phone is ringing I mean I could have the phone over here Steph okay and we could be chatting and all of a sudden it could start to ring and and and it would say nana if somebody spoofed your mom's phone yeah yeah but it's it's I mean it's that's creepy it's creepy yeah it's creepy it stopped for a while my mom used to talk love to talk on the phone so it went on for a while after she after she passed away and then it finally not finally it's not the right word but um it stopped maybe after four years maybe and we figured okay God told her okay enough was enough put the damn phone down you know let's you know let's go and it stopped for a while and then all of a sudden it has started again and it starts sometimes it will ring at the craziest times like there'll be a family thing going on and the phone will ring that's wild and again the phone is like over here it's it's not like you know I I had it in my hand and and you know somehow hit her number by mistake or something right it's just ringing that's wild I don't know maybe she got something to tell you I don't know it's gonna be a crazy ghost lady teaching your your class you never know Mari said I was on her ass sorry I have I have two brothers and she doesn't call my two brothers my mother just calls me hey maybe it's some channeling some Spirits over no no no no no no there's just no one there so which probably means somebody's random dialing or spoofing or something in the and the and the recording hasn't started yet or the person hasn't come on yet that is wild you know to say you know it's the person in charge of the electric bill available yeah right Aaron said you really were the favorite thank you Aaron I was the firstborn that's it that doesn't make you the favorite though it's definitely not in my mother's eyes because my mother continuously tells me she wants to be with my brother I'm like I know it's been noted right we all know but she feels the need to tell me every time we have like whatever something is she back in Arizona yeah she is okay she I got a box yesterday I got a Nana box oh yeah well she likes um hunting for prizes for the old ladies for music Bingo yep so she sent me a box of fans fans and they loved them like fans oh okay sure this Vance but the old ladies love them so now they're like the collector's item they're like barter it's almost like prison in there they're using the fans as barters you never know what's currency in there it's usually chocolate quarters so they can play the other kind of music the other kind of bingo socks socks and they like chapsticks no oh I love them they make my heart so so happy you know it's nice that it doesn't take much to make you happy when you have a certain age no all you need is a fan and some chapters that's it that's all you got in your life and your life is complete exactly and just to hang out and listen I had them singing Gene Autry the exactly God I know all these songs foreign I think so I think I was my mother always just saying sometimes my father would get mad at us because we would do stupid kid things and my mother would say here um but I have to plug Detroit yes yes we have we have a great white shred uh coming to the today real estate parking lot on Saturday from 10 to noon take all your important documents like all the tax stuff that you don't want anybody never mind I didn't say that um but all your important documents and and bring them over and you can shred them for free and we ask that you bring a donation to the sandwich food pantry um the thing is as we talked about on the radio side is you just can't assume that taking your important papers and ripping them up and throw them in the trash or bringing them to recycling is somehow going to keep your identity safe because they're so good these days you know they can take half an account number and Fiddle and deal with it and they're gonna find you yeah and all of a sudden you're gonna find out you've got a you know credit card at you know Belle's clothing store in in Florida and you owe five thousand dollars um so you know you got to be you got to be careful so please you know bring it over and uh great white shred uh does a does it really does a really cool job slices them up really really then um and then you don't have to worry and that's
