never read the right book and Stephanie was terrible at this book I really Su at book CL I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual I just had a visual I proud of it hold on not too shabby my friend only like 15 minutes not bad we're getting better hey boys and girls how are you uh we haven't been in the home studio in a while no we haven't right no it's nice to be here right I had to make sure everything still worked Co the little the little Pooch was at the door when I came in just you know oh my God had make sure not to step on them and break them yep no she's still there oh she okay and the cat too but they were both in I know right well you've added the cat to your show yes hope the weather cat on the on the on the weekends when I'm broadcasting for my Studio I love it I heard you were singing my Praises on Sunday when you thought I was bumping your show yes I came down this morning and I said Steph you're almost dead to me on Sunday well we are live over at knockabout from 11: to1 and uh we will do the show on social but we will not interrupt the live feed because your Jazz and Blues hours are crushing on the weekends thank you yeah you're getting a lot of people checking in so thank you it's it's I I got to tell you we've worked not to Pat myself on the back I can't anyway because the shoulder is all screwed up oh no what you do I've we've worked really hard putting some I sent some more music this week um getting some music on that I think people will like and um I just it sounds great I mean I I listen to it when it's on and and play it back and everything because I don't get to hear all the music well we can kick it to some of the Nationals and see if they want to pick up your show very good okay I'm these are the things that we can do Hank I'm good right I'm good so here we are it's Tuesday it's freaking cold outside I'm over winter yeah yeah once once patani Phil said we have six more weeks of winter then we get winter I mean we always get six more weeks of winter so it's kind of that was not a big prediction the Pomp and Circumstance that we go through like oh yeah it's gonna be an early spring it is not you knew it was not we got more snow coming in tonight another storm coming in this weekend right just as long as the kids don't get snow days yeah right that's that's the thing they they got to get out on time we need Mariana to get out on time for um at the end of the year because our um annual trip to clear water to the aquarium we've had to move it up week Mother Nature because the program she wants to be involved in is that week um the Senate family needs to go down south yes they've got plans yes I what's up Gloria I could go now yeah that is the major consensus my Dad's getting real itchy real irritated that he's not down south well he had his surgery and and now he's got some other ailment that's keeping him from his his time in Florida MH so I think his wife is a little bit happy that he's a little bit irritated by being here still oh gez now he goes to Florida yeah and she stays here yeah well she's still in the workforce okay she's younger Mama's got to make that money I see Daddy's retired you see my wife is younger I wanted to go to Florida I didn't get to go yeah you didn't get that option no I didn't get that option you would because she feeds you so yes true I wouldn't eat no you know where your bread is buttered literally I wouldn't eat you're not going anywhere so I have a question of our day is what book should everyone read at least once in their lifetime gosh how many people said the Bible uh a few yeah a few people took the Bible I saw that which I've never read by the way I have from cover to cover it's a lot I've never read it no yeah it took me a solid year yeah because it's just there are parts that are good don't get me wrong it's more interesting than people think yeah can I retain any of that information can I quote any Scripture absolutely not we are not those people but it's in your soul yes it's here it's here it took one full year of CCD that we went over it Page by Page by Page by page but I did in fact just read it by myself once through I'm good good um good there's online stuff and everything I think now where you can read the Bible for a year and they do many little presentations there so many great little apps if you have patience and time and remember what's going on but I can't even remember my own name half the time 1984 said Winston no that's what we live now yeah that's real life now I just I this question popped up because I had um Tom Robbins passed away oh really 92 years old wow now that is a damn good life but he wrote even girls get the blues yes which was a really great book uh so I was like oh okay and then there was some other question what was the shortest book and it Catcher And The Rye popped up as like one of the answers for some of our stuff yeah that's that's one you probably have to read yeah well we're doing a fundraiser this week over for the henus library but it's going to be happening at barnable Brewing okay on Thursday and uh we're going to literary lovers is one of the categories for trivia oo right so I got to go over some fun little Classics weaing Heights is definitely going to be in there never read it Great Gatsby definitely gonna be in there didn't finish it what didn't finish it what it's like the shortest book is 100 pages long how' you not finish it didn't finish it I don't know something else came along and I put it down and I never get back to it you're a non-f finisher books I'm a non-f finisher oh the number of non-finished books the number of um books that I have pictures of the cover in my phone yeah I'm going to read just click click and I put it in screenshots and stuff it's ridiculous morning to you Miss Mari you have been a busy bee I don't know normally real estate is quiet in February not for you guys no we've been busy fortunately we've been we've been busy rolling into open houses rolling into all kinds of other stuff i' i' you're busy yes yep we are well you know she's been doing it for Mar's been doing it for a long time and and as you know she knows a lot of people and has a lot of contacts and and and people people people call her and they and they trust her and not too busy to hit the wine bar last night though my friend no not too busy for that good for you no uh your snacks look delicious I absolutely love UA Wine Bar we're going to be doing a lunch and learn uh and this is free to members 20 bucks if you want to just join us for lunch you get a free lunch and you get to learn a new skill we have our friend Marcus coming over from Ember marketing to show us how to use our phones a little bit better to take better social media videos couple of tips and tricks I think we want to do that yeah I think we may come right just come and have some lunch and uh learn a new skills so because I think it's the only way I'm going to get to the wine bar because I don't think I'm gonna be invited I think this this is going to be a girls thing well yeah there's a Max of 20 people so definitely you can get signed up on our Mash P chamber website okay we closed out the votings for all the best ofs and I saw casually that you were nominated for a couple of things really right well isn't that nice you popped up in The Unsung Heroes and I saw you somewhere else in there and I was like good for wow that's cool thank you so yeah you are now a citizen of mashby embrace the love my friend wow that's cool today is National makeer Friend Day when was the last time you made a new friend oh boy I don't boy I don't know right my husband says we got enough people I laugh I'm always like who are you what's your name yeah how do how do we talk how do we work we we meet people through through real estate when we work with them that we become friendly with some of them become good friends we spent um uh the Super Bowl with two of them who have become good friends um but a new a new friend friend I right like in the fold want to hang out with boy I don't know right it's been a little bit so I get out there and meet somebody new maybe you've not met actually you know what it could be you and Cliff oh really yeah really well you've met some other people at the market have you hung out with any of them though that oh oh um no no my my newest new friend is Ted Murphy oh there you go see yeah my newest new friend is Ted Murphy who by the way texted me during the Super Bowl and said good get while he was eating the bone sauce from our new friends who are now like they're just big fans of mash B they're on the other side of Boston and they come down every single Sunday they're going to be here for the entire Market this year that's great they just love hanging out with us they've gotten some great gigs he's an entrepreneur at heart but he came up with a really really good recipe to stabilize butter in a old French cooking method and his food is great there's no corn syrup in garbage in your your uh wing sauce and it can be on the counter forever one of those things you don't need to refrigerate if you don't want the wing sauce is out of this world it's wild so he texted me during the Super Bowl this is so good good get yep hi Becca The Alchemist she said I have not read that Alchemist that's a good one all right putting that on my list also selfishly I need to bolster my reading list because I promised myself I would start reading again because I cannot for the life of me watch another freaking Law and Order this is my husband's new thing he started it from the very beginning from the very beginning we've been watching Law and Order yeah every now and then we go back and we try and we and we watch the original Perry Masons all the way back oh okay and they're really good they they hold up yes well the Law and Orders are not holding up I'll tell you this right now no if you read 20 Pages a day I've said this before if it is said I've never done it but it is said that if you read 20 Pages a day you can read 30 books a year what if I start making little reminders on my phone will I just ignore those two probably but maybe there's I need to find a system that I'll actually do stuff with like move your body for 20 minutes read 20 Pages do this now Stephanie you don't need to work on that until you die until you die I have I struggle with ending a task I struggle with just putting it down because I'm afraid I'll never go back to it where it was properly you're not looking for Perfection you're just afraid you're not going to finish correct I I'm I'm not ever looking for Perfection are you kidding me you know me right I thought I thought you said we were friends yes of course of course to coot Tom fery done is better than perfect that's I am I have to finish it whatever it is it's like finish it finish the food finish the cookies finish the I'm I'm so anti-waste it's a problem but also I get so stuck in a rabbit hole that I find myself really having a hard time putting work down and going to bed even last night my eyes were so tired and I'm like but I could do one more thing and I'm like no no you got to stop I'm not going to do that I'm going to go upstairs I'm going to leave my laptop downstairs no more work today right you need a routine you need a schedule that you can more or less kind of stick to a better one at least or some way that I can just leave some certain things but once again my sleep has been off so I've been having weird nightmares you're not the only one Mari and I we get up every morning and we go I can't remember them we had the weirdest I had weirdest damn dreams I had one two nights ago I don't know I I can't remember all of it except the pope was in St Peter's and he had his whole gear and he took a run and he slid on his belly all the way up to the altar I'm not having Pope dreams but I don't know where that came from there was other stuff that went along with it but I just remember the pope going oh my God hey ER this come from what yeah Mari said unsung hero being married to me maybe she was the one who nominated you eron she said at the farmers market lots of new friends Carolyn nice to see you this morning Mary Jane hi Lynn didn't you just win another cooking contest yes she may have I think she just won the latest cooking contest did she win the Super Bowl contest Cap Cod dining at home and anywhere else may have I don't I don't recall Mar's on she'll tell us thank you very much for joining us this morning so yeah Hank and I are are getting through this winter not making new friends apparently but you did go to a friend's house for the Super Bowl yes and I I could have sworn that this game would have been one of the lowest rated games in history and it is one of the highest rated games we had it on I had a houseful of boys yeah well the FL I mean we had it on where we were we sat at the kitchen table and we were eating through the whole first half I mean we really didn't watch it I mean it wasn't like a wow game no I mean maybe it was a wow game wow I cannot believe how bad Kansas City is right now sorry Christiana yeah yeah and then we we watched the halftime show not for me and people have got to get over the fact that it's not for us anymore guys okay Tom Petty's dead Paul McCartney's already done the show Prince is dead the shows aren't for us anymore okay they're for younger younger people well there was a lot of scuttle over the halftime show first off um I absolutely loved your jeans Kendrick bringing back those bell bottoms love them yep um also why does he care 430 his jump in Spotify streams after the halftime show he doesn't care probably because people were waiting and listening to the music and trying to figure out the words in which he was saying and how that meant anything to them we put on the captions and even then it didn't make sense sometimes I did like the takeaway I love Serena in there I loved seeing his little stop saying drink and he just looked at the camera yeah definitely reignited his little uh little Feud that he's on top but also like his he's he's an amazing poet he really is uh but that's not really what the Super Bowl was so that's why the disconnect was yeah because people were looking for like a show yeah they wanted to be ENT kind of show I mean the the the I mean the dancing or what the choreography or whatever was really cool yeah I like the American flag little setup how many people came out of that car I have no idea and yes I know that they were piling in from underneath the stage but it just made me laugh that this clown car kept just people people people coming I loved the entrance I thought that was great right other than that it really wasn't lackluster football to have that many people watch it it really really was last night in the bean poot Boston University Beat Boston College four to one all right the bean pot the bean pot you got to say it right the bean pot so I don't know how many times be Was Won it 114 I no idea but right rtb was a little bummed out that he didn't get a chance to go he had tickets to go see it because that's where he works yeah and um he had had a a meeting with his like Condo Association that he couldn't miss so he was he was a little bummed out about that yeah Lynn was the winner of the $100 Super Bowl gift certificate to a restaurant of her choice for her Super Bowl cooking very fabulous what's up John it was a it was a crackpot what you serving people kind of thing and um people had some really interesting stuff I saw some really good food some good bites yeah we went with our standard my husband just started cooking and once again we had the football boys over so they just ingested whatever it was that came out right so much so that poor little CJ had to call in the middle of the night to get picked up because his stomach hurt I'm like these boys he had to go home to Mama he did Cody goes apparently I was talking in my sleep because he told me that he was leaving but I didn't realize he was gone so I woke up and he was gone and then I looked everywhere for him and because I mean literally he Cliff made everything from salmon to ribs to taco dip to shrimp something else I was just like stop with the food salmon we're just sitting he has this quest to make salmon the way that blue makes salmon okay he's never going to make it that way there's you just can't is it good at Blue oh my gosh it's so good you know you and I don't love salmon no I don't but once in a while you find it at a restaurant and it's phenomenal it's phenomenal at Blue I don't know what you do Frederick Fufu but it's delicious I've tried to like it and every now and then I'll I'll like if it's salmon and something like if it's a double dish yeah I'll order it because I figure if I don't like the salmon well there's still scallops and I'll and I'll and I'll get a meal yeah but I've gotta I mean Everybody Eats salmon oh my gosh it's so good for your body that's why I'm like I'm eating it it's like vegetables it's almost it's almost like liver to me not quite but it's almost sir do not speak these words good morning Dave hagner Demetrius so good to see your face here this morning Demetrius owner shows really yes it's right in Mash B Commons do tell us he says I feel feel the same way but I do not like salmon but when I have it at Blue it's one of my favorite dishes see well we have we got we go to Blue every every now I mean going to Blue is a treat right you just don't kind of wander in and go to Blue I kind of do sometimes though cuz I like their rice pudding yes so weird but it's honestly one of my favorite desserts sometimes I'll just get it to go yes oh jeez I'm a problem we love the onion soup the onion soup is is is is fabulous no they have some they have some great food there but like I said it's a it's a treat we know well you work over there so I'm I'm finding it very hard not to support all of the restaurants thereby as I'm walk you're the best you're the best I'll go over there I'll just take a walk I'll support them for lunch we'll buy that from them now it's a problem what's up Denise thanks for joining us this morning Carol go ahead and taunt us with what the Florida temperatures are right now cuz I'm very jealous I had like a little taste when I was away on a work trip and it was nice and warm and now I'm back here going although my husband did some of the shoveling really I didn't have to do any shoveling oh well then L dah he lives in The Villages they do it for him did not have to shovel thank goodness so you went to a new friend's house over at The Villages though they're fairly new friends yeah this is someone we a couple we sold a house to um maybe a year or so ago or maybe two years ago and um yeah we we went over there and Mariana came with us and Angela's a retired teacher so Mariana you know gets you know has a great connection with her Richard is a retired Baltimore cop for okay for 35 36 years no filter I love that though that's a character that's somebody sometime we'll have to get the six of us together because you'll you'll you'll love the two of them but a couple of times when we were sitting there Mari had to say Richard she's only 12 he does he doesn't mean he just he he he just has no has no filter he was talking about kissing some guy in the mouth or whatever and I don't know okay well it was if it was a whole long story and if something happened look I'll kiss him on the mouth think of it in terms of a Baltimore cop talking you know he didn't mean it he just oh you I love it yeah no they're they're uh they're fun he's he's part of my golf crowd and uh no they're they're you must be itching to golf we can try the golf simulator we have got over at the chamber we've got uh golf simulator we have an event coming up with a golf simulator it's over at House of hatchets they've got a whole new area with a golf simulator and we're going to be doing a business after hours and that is happening the last week of February so get yourself signed up for that free very cool right members let's go and we have entrepreneurial members so we got a cheap membership for for people we got a in going to join we do uh The Listening Room of Cape Cod is what it is called which is located at SEO Street Music okay we have van pachella plays there she brings a whole host of Acts and touring acts I asked her and she went isn't it awful how long after you've been married that you're like me yeah it's like yeah you know I mean we we we stopped with cards a long time ago stopped with flowers a couple of years ago I saw some fun things circulating I mean there's nothing left yeah um people have been wanting to feed their ex to a lot of zoo animals this seems to be real popular oh really and can do it without being on Netflix uh there are cockroaches at the San Antonio Zoo rodents feed your ex veggies there's $15 donation to the Columbus Zoo to I I don't even know name this Chum after whatever and they feed it to the Penguins I mean honestly there it is I appreciate the Ingenuity also uh to make a couple of bucks for your nonprofit during this time of year and also they're having a little bit of fun L at your Valentine's expense wow we've also seen the police offering hey did your ex used to sell drugs or do illegal things well let us know and we'll take care of them and give them a place to stay for Valentine's Day and you've seen some fun little wow little ways that the police are having their out Outreach how how bitter can you be yeah right right there are a lot of bitter women out there heck I'll tell you what okay uh rtb says it's a Hallmark holiday and made the Emoji that looks like the green face person so Okay it definitely is a Hallmark holiday oh yeah they're all Hallmark holidays now however we are going to be having a little fun with the love connection happening at dos on Friday the love connection yes so we're not hooking anybody up we're talking to people that have been married for a hundred years and we're going to ask them questions and see how well they do and there are prizes to be available so interesting exactly so if you would Mary lir she's like out on errands every day you see her everywh what is she 93 years old she's out in about yes I joined up I was I was um um elected to the to the mhby TV board of directors and she was she's on she's on the board and we were talking afterwards she was telling me how much she liked Jazz so I was telling about the Jazz show that we have and then Chris said later on she's 9 went what it's I know it's it's crazy she hopped in her car took off I'm like wow I hope I can do that I know honestly good for you once again I don't know whe whether it's your rose quartz or what's going on but you're fabulous good morning Miss Carol Sherman you miss I've been seeing your name a lot unsung heroes M we have seen all kinds of wonderful things about you Carol we are very sad that you are retiring from ashp but we do understand that you need a life we get it most people do I know that it's that balance right right how much you gon to work your life away or how much you gonna enjoy your life I think that everybody kind of struggles with that situation oh yeah yeah um we were talking about Valentine's Day and we're talking about how rtb said it is a Hallmark holiday but I saw something a little questionable yes on Hallmark no okay for Valentine's Day hot air balloons that they're offering in Tula which I've been it's about an hour from where my daughter lives right now in San Diego but they're offering $1,400 hot air balloon rides y um so you can join the mile high club oh that's really weird it's really weird well if it's important to you the best part though was you can add an additional person for $159 are we talking Eiffel Tower here or or or or what sorry Mari sorry people and people are Googling Eiffel Tower people are Googling a lot of things think there's a lot of questionable content here today Dave says that he volunteers to do a taste test or chowder thank you Chris Ball speaking of questionable content we really I we've been talking about a great fundraiser it is not died in fact we talked about it with Cindy Jones yesterday when we were at Mash BTV and it's only grown in excitement oh boy oh boy we have a fresh fun fundraiser that we are working on for Mash P TV Mari says you're going to have to find two people to go with you just so you know for your hot air balloon ride pal no she's not a hot air hot air person but when we lived in aloro um one morning we heard this whoos noise yeah and we looked out and on the street there was a hot air balloon we used to get them all the time in out of bro Landing it it couldn't go any further or something and it dropped like cuz we used to have big farm Fields remember yeah and it dropped like right in the middle of this of this neighborhood yeah they filled them all up with houses now but we used to have some good farmland we for sure um no Chris I have not set off any alarms today set off alarms what I had an incident yesterday you did what did you do I was working away doing all my stuff I had my show at Mash P TV Cindy Jones left there I'm at work I'm getting ready to go home for the day my son Mom I need to be at question in school right at 3:30 I have basketball you need to pick me up and then drop me off I'm like wait a minute don't they have a ban for that oh they do but forgot his sneakers and his pants and he just wanted to come home home for a minute oh okay so in all of my running around I'm like shoot you know what I forgot my winter coat it's going to be cold I left it at Mash PTV yeah so I go over to mash PTV I see a big box out front that's blocking the door I'm like oh you know what it says they're out on a production I've got a key I'll move the Box in I'll grab my coat and I'll leave uh oh well the alarm was set I don't know the I I'm not up on the ladder enough to have a code yet oh my goodness and I'm like why would they set the alarm at 3 in the afternoon they set the alarm at 3: in the afternoon just in case you want to go and visit yes just in case someone like you wants to get in so I called Chris and I'm like Chris I'm in here he's like can I call you right back and I'm like it's me do you hear the alarms I'm setting those off right now he gives me a code to shut it off but then of course he's in an interview with whatever it is that he's trying to do so now he's getting calls from the alarm company I ca a Ruckus not surprisingly you C the Ruckus that's that's good with a little b& on a 3:00 in the afternoon on a Monday morning it was truly a Monday oh my goodness hey I have to wish a happy anniversary to our our good friends Paul and Claire Shader who've been married 64 years today that is so impressive yes what's what's the secret recipe to 64 years of marriage I would like to know right there wow I always like to ask people that have been married for a long time that's why we're doing this love connection this this uh whatever it's called the the love and marriage game that we're doing on Friday at dins just cuz I always love to hear what people have to say where did you meet right if he remembers where's the most fun place that you've ever been together is it a hot air balloon just some of these fun questions someone with you where are you and everybody's got a different answer we were uh we connected with our friends Kai uh on Sunday after we left knockabout and we went over to the Valley Grill to have some lunch and uh Hey can get me what are their hours just as a total decide it doesn't mean anything to most of you and I'm sorry they're pretty much open all the time yeah but they don't seem to be even when they don't seem to be they're pretty much open really yeah oh well that's good to know because we've driven by a couple of times hey let's go in looks like it's closed follow them on social media you'll know if someone's in there or not okay because sometimes the flag is out open sometimes the flag isn't if the flag is there and there are people in the parking lot popop in the food is great it's affordable Don and will do a really good job over there yes and I'm trying to get them to be members of the mash Chamber of Commerce it's a qua Country Club it's it's just a cool little yeah cool little restaurant the kind of thing I wish we could get at The Villages it's a good little addition to mash P yeah it sure is hey great breakfast great breakfast oh my God a great breakfast uh Bethany and Victoria thank you for joining us this morning Victoria is working on a fun little fundra ER for our quet school they're doing um they've rented this putt putt company yeah that does fun little mini golf holes oh okay and they're going to be staging them throughout the school Y which is super cute and like all kinds of different prizes within it or whatever for things to do with the kids yeah and then everybody's leaving I met my uh mashby High School intern I'm very excited Rael is she's on every Honor Society known to man I hope I don't disappoint her but she's like well I I can do one or two days but I'm going to France next week and I'm like well ly dog good for for you my parents never took me to France for February vacation what France for a couple of days I mean whatever I would go to France for the weekend if I could okay flights are cheap enough they're cheaper than going of Disney at this point did you know that wouldn't surprise me it is cheaper to go overseas than it is to go to Florida at this point and I don't understand it oh the flights to Florida are just ridiculous why are they so expensive I don't get it I I I just don't I mean back when back when my when my in-laws had a place down you want to go you'll pay for it back when my in-laws had a place down in down in Clear Water um they lived in pet they would they would be up here and they would call and they would say you know what there's a flight on JetBlue 64 bucks we're leaving tomorrow yeah and off they' go don't you miss that and it's nothing like that anymore well I disagree because I just did that last night you flew to Florida last night no we're not going to Florida we are going to to Charleston uhuh charl yeah why Charleston because my bestie lives there okay and also I have family that is going to be there for the weekend oh okay so we're just like doing a quick little trip okay what airline Breeze well that's okay that's Jet Blue I was gonna say that's okay that's JetBlue Jr we love JetBlue we have flown JetBlue for the last couple of years boy JetBlue is having trouble lately $39 flight really $59 flights but JetBlue is one of the airlines that is really having problems right now in terms of on time I got to tell you the last two flights that I were on they were great so that I they've redeemed themselves in my eyes because the two prior that I had were terrible awful and I rotted in an airport for half a day wow so I mean I had both of those two experiences right well good for you hey Trish um yeah I was like Cliff you're gonna pull the trigger and he's like but yeah him and I are just gonna go down for a day oh literally a day yeah hang out turn around come back yeah see my friends see my family well that's nice get a kiss of warmth you watch it'll be raing they'll be a hurricane there's a random hurricane in February in Charleston back to you my brother and on the Weather Channel right now I don't know who they went to see but my brother and sister-in-law went to Red Rocks yeah like for a day they flew out they went to the concert and they got see sometimes you can get you know they red I mean it's not great for the environment or anything but they're already going anyway so what's my ticket right you said something about plastic straw speaking of the environment where' you see this well I think people need to understand that that some of these these proclamations that President Trump is signing they don't have anything to do with anything and and the one about um no more paper straws that people made a big deal about paper straws do stink we could use a Goin right but it's only involves federal government it doesn't involve anybody else so any restaurant around here if they have paper straws left that they want to use they can use it I won't order a drink if they have paper straws yeah I mean most most places have kind of gotten over them my own and I and and I think that the ones that still have them just ordered so many that that was my suggestion on the trip that I just took I said everybody should get um a metal straw or a reusable straw when you board this ship and end it you don't have to give any paper straws whatsoever right we're going to be giving out some reusable straws we've got a a little bit of a budget for some fun things for the mash B Farmers Market this season by the way the cups you were selling yeah keeps keep keeps things so cold right I can't believe it they're great cups they're great cup great little metal cups we absolutely love them they can be recycled just like cans um and we we'll definitely have those back this season for the farmers market we're also working on our Wellness programming so if you're a wellness practitioner in the town of mashby like I said it's a baby budget but we do have a budget for you so sign up sheets for that are going to be coming out we are looking for a market manager right now that job description just got released yesterday uh and we are going to be doing things like flexible um poly straws um and some reusable things and uh working on some of our Recycling and um we just have some really good initiatives happening I mean got a team of people this year which I'm thrilled about I know and I'm working with Rachel over at mashby Middle High to uh work on the volunteer program Alicia's been working hard back behind the scenes working on a handbook so everybody knows what to do when to do it with all of us it's G to get real official like it's it's getting legitimate and I'm getting very excited about it because we go before the select board in two weeks to talk about our Canal Farmers Market just went to our um graphic designer and we're designing all the logos like we we've pretty much already gotten approval for the market portion it just depends on what it's going to look like that's kind of the talking orders right now and where will it be situated so it's going to be at the canal uh where they have the canal concert series okay so it's Buzzards Bay Park and uh it's going to be a little bit before the concert and a little bit will be done before the concert wraps up so it'll be an afternoon far fers Market uhuh an evening on Thursdays so we're really thrilled about that very nice I know I think it's going to be great we're working on our uh mobile Farmers Market as well so that we can collect some of the vegetables as farmers are leaving and that they didn't sell some of them that we can keep those fresh and bring them to another market so we're going to be moving food around this year and uh trying to create a no waste situation kinds of permission to to move food around or no not really um pretty much God already um but that's one of those things that I've been lowlevel working the health department would jump in and say you have to have they're involved yeah for sure oh good okay um but I mean the difference of creating an idea right and asking for a $200,000 truck because that's some of those trucks cost 200 the ideal one the one that I really want comes out of a outfit in Canada that makes them and recycles all this material and it's really wonderful but it's $250,000 wait a minute see for a truck $250,000 it is insane to me that that is how much it is but that is how much it is that's insane so this is like the Cadillac model of what we want and we're talking about the let's prove the concept model of gonna get a truck and put an air conditioning unit on the side of it right this this is where we're at right now and this is where we like to be how about how about like an ice cream truck or something the ice cream truck that they use to have when we were kids where the guy would get out of the truck and he'd open up the back yeah so these are these are the things that we're fundraising for I think that sometimes our messaging gets a little really difficult to have a conversation with and we are working on some other uh with some marketers to kind of get our message of what lemonade o what lemonade is and you know you and I have had these conversations about connecting all of these little houses that we built into one culdesac so that is exactly what we're going to be working on right like that that was a great analogy rolled it right on into a real estate reference that you would understand you're welcome Hank that was good that was good Hank will give you a name for that yeah right thanks the farmers market begins again uh Memorial Day weekend and I know may seems like it's so far away but it's really not it's already February and February short and we're already halfway through that so it is going to roll really quickly January lasted a year and the rest of the year is going to continue such oh yeah it's going to roll the kids are going to be off I mean school I mean left and right and um and then they're going to be out of school and it's G to be the summer time then the Summer's gonna be over and it's gonna be the fall it's gonna be winter stop pal stop sorry you're rolling through the year too fast I know no I I I want the year to be slow trust me I want the year to be slow you get to be check by fresh by local to find out more information about that edible Cape Cod definitely another friend of ours that always promotes and puts out the farmers market but unless you're um a member of the Massachusetts farmers market Association it doesn't the messaging doesn't really get on the cmap or the other places in which you can just Google and find it that is where all of the farmers uh what else is going on well you were talking about Trump's getting rid of the straws and we kind of yeah moved on from there but he's also getting rid of the pennies did you see that actually that's not a bad idea it's not it is a waste of money to Mint the penny at this point right so that is going away in 2025 yeah I I said something to a to a merchant I was buying something and I got like three three cents back and I put it in the thing and I said um you know no more pennies soon he said yeah that'll be great but we're gonna have to round everything up they don't have a problem doing oh really like there's a big one going on right now you're kidding no it's a 10day cruise so we 10 days right naked 10 days right that's a lot but there was a couple that we were wrapping with before we got on the boat and they were saying oh we're taking this one before we go on the nude cruise and we were like we the the Blues Cruise what come again what did you say the what cruise the new and they were just like very unassuming older adults mhm I want to say in their 70s mhm and he goes yeah you know I took it the last time and you I was a little apprehensive but after a couple of hours nobody cared didn't matter and I looked at the wife and she goes took me a day now every single time I saw them on this Cruise they were like in in outfits oh really like like barely their outfits I was like these people have jumped on this bandwagon wholeheartedly he was 70 oh maybe maybe 75 she was definitely 75 I would want to see myself on a new cruise but then I thought there's a whole boat of you I suppose like you're sitting on bar stools right oh you s like you going to dinner sitting on that no the standing portion not a problem the coffee's hot what happens I mean spilling stuff my girlfriend Betsy is always complaining about spilling stuff on our clothes like you would you're fine you're fine hose it off do they have like on Deck hoses they just oh my goodness they spray everything down how are things exactly washed I can't imagine right yeah like that's my that's my it's a sanitation issue for me right yeah yeah how would you never and and you know people when they get hot tubs and things are floating around hot tubs I mean and and and and people when they when they get some people when they get older they have issues with with certain bodily functions I mean weirdest show opener but I'm over here singing like a banshee because it's coming back on Sunday and I'm very much looking forward to just some new TV some fun weird TV some stuff that I don't have to bum bum in the middle of the night I can't do it and does he fall asleep in the middle of it like you yes and if I shut it off wakes right up what what are you doing the mask on like go to sleep suck in your oxygen a little more please God go back to sleep will you uh Brian Adams had a rough show in Australia apparently what happened you had to cancel a show because um the clogged pipes in the stadium o not good no not good at all can you think of something grosser no I would to cancel the show too Brian Adams absolutely yeah yeah wow right yeah that that could be problematic what do you have for our uh uh police stories today our sandwich police well the lead uh story from Sandwich Police Department a caller reported a seal was on their private beach dispatch notified ifaw I'm sorry the seal doesn't know you called the police on the seal on your Beach because the seal was on your private beach excuse Mo I don't I don't I mean people I I just shout out to the sandwich Police Department for having a deal with all of that also I want to give a big thumbs up to the mash pdpw for taking care of our roads they did a fabulous job so good on Sunday thank you I was so terrified to be driving around and I was like oh I've got to go I've got things to do today yes and the roads were great you did an amazing job see praise the good because we had a we had an open house schedule for Sunday as you know and as and and as we've talked about and we can't tell what the main roads look like because we're we're a little you know off the off the street the villages we were plowed just fine I mean you know we could we could get in and out but we were so surprised when when we get out and the mash P like oh this is really cool yeah got into sandwich I'm sorry my friends in Sandwich not not not as good as they as they did in mat p yep Cindy said they had to drive to the airport in the muck at 3:00 a. it was risky oh yeah that stresses me out when we were driving to Montreal for Christmas that was so stressful we were in the middle of some sort of terrifying storm really driving to the mountains in Vermont and I'm like this is where we die this is we chose this we chose this for Christmas so yes I I know that risky driving and how stressful that is Cindy yeah terrifying um we had some other crazy crime stories from Florida which I love to Florida man accus of stealing 20 plus appliances from a home construction site this is happening on the Palm Coast a guy's 60 years old stealing 22 home appliances since we're talking to Cindy and uh she is our just kitchen and bath extraordinaire if you're looking for somebody to just come in and make sure your contractors are doing what they're supposed to you want to hire the people to do the right job for you Cindy is is the person to hire to make sure all of that is dealt with you so you don't have to stress out about that you don't have to worry about a man coming in stealing your appliances for your construction projects Cindy will hunt them down make sure it's done right yes absolutely Mari said the water's cold I think she's referring to those nude cruises so much fun what's coming up this weekend for music I see that you've submitted some new tunes for the show some new Tunes I've been I've been trying to trying to keep everything everything updated don't have my themes yet for this for this weekend gonna have to figure that out when I see what what comes up in the playlist excellent but we will have we will have fun today on lunch break we're GNA be talking about colors that you should not paint your bedrooms oh and your kids will be disappointed I really like a good color theory conversation it's one of the things that we do in eforall there's a new crop of eforall cohorts about to pop up uh if you've ever been interested in starting your own business or you're floundering in your business or you're wondering okay my business is running but I want to Pivot or I want to open up something else is this a good idea eforall is the place for you and you can reach out um I I know that they just got some license plate money for that but color theory is one of the things one of the classes when you're picking your logo or when you're doing whatever exactly all the that you have a conversation about what it makes you feel like when you see this so I love the fact that you're going to be talking about the colors not to paint your bedroom not to paint your bedroom and and we know from selling you know from from Selling Houses sometimes people will walk in a house and look at the color while and go uh no PW is not the color not not not not for me we sold a house um a while ago the the wife was a was a designer and the downstairs bathroom was painted hot pink oh and how was the decor around the hot pig oh I mean it was it all fit it all worked but the men walked in the downstairs bathroom and went nope and the wives of the girlfriends went in and went hey you know what this is kind of cool yeah but I mean it's the wives and the girlfriends that make the final decision anyway so whether the guy liked the bathroom or not it didn't make any difference if she liked it yeah then it's usually getting done usually getting done yeah it probably stayed hot pink if they bought it no and not being sexist about it it's just usually what happens yep the person with the stronger need or want wins and it's usually us Cindy said yes Benjamin Moore had w at the end of last year for free I love that see we need to check in with uh C designs a little bit more and find mash B Chamber of Commerce where we're going to just learn a quick tip learn a quick skill and then have some lunch and do a little connecting during your lunch break so we're trying to maximize the amount of time in which you're spending on these events because sometimes it's really hard they have before hours they have the after hours and your days are long and sometimes it just doesn't fit for you so I'm trying to squeak something in at lunchtime so that maybe you can kind of get out of the office for a hot minute learn something quick and grab a bite to eat that's yeah that's convenient because people you need to get out you need to get out of the office I yeah well that's I'm learning that very much so I'm making you know errands and other fun things to do for myself so that I can remove myself from sitting on my AR all day and not doing anything it's got it's getting bad Hank it's getting bad here's one more from the sandwich police oh an officer was dispatched to a home after the owner came home to find her painter passed out on the bed when officers arrived the painter was already standing in the driveway the man said he wasn't feeling well sure we know our service so he fell asleep on the bed the homeowner said she wasn't able to Rouse the man at first and showed officers a photo she took of the pooped painter face down on the bed with his feet on the ground the woman didn't want the painter to continue his project oh surprise he was allowed to gather his belongings and use the phone a friend option to get home I think we inv vibed a little bit too much at lunch yeah yeah I don't yeah once again kind of a Cape Cod scenario kind of a Cape Cod thing yeah whatever it is that you're doing today we hope you have a little bit of fun go out and make a new friend as it is make a new friend day I'm going to be out tonight over at Shipwrecked the Tournament of Champions begins it'll be a quick contest for six weeks we've teamed up with Margaritaville so we've got an overnight stay at margar we have yet to be there go there I should say it comes a little with uh two passes to their water park so it could be a fun little adventure for you whatever it is that you're looking for maybe a February vacation away and just be in one town over from yours might be a little bit nice for you kind of cool yeah that'll be our our contest that we are starting
