Club where Stephanie never read the right book and Stephanie was terrible at this book I really suck at book club I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual I just had a visual I had a proud of around and going oh my God I'm so tired I stayed up last night well yeah I don't know why you stayed up I I went to bed like and I will wake up in the morning and stay I woke up I got up early shout out to our friends here at mashby TV if you want to watch us on Channel HD 1072 and if that's not coming in then um you need to get a new box called 1 1800 Comcast and have them swap it out for you so here we are Thursday one day before the weekend yes long weekend um yeah thank you very much to all of our veterans we appreciate you I know there's tons of celebrations just Google your town and there will be something going on celebrating our wonderful veterans I know that our friends Jim worked on the flags um that project in um Dennis and 400 Flags wow that's so yeah it's going to be really beautiful over at Johnny Kelly field hi to our friends over at fleeting moments we'll be taking photos of all of that and I'm going to see her today for my new professional head shots yeah because someone's got a job that was weird that happened fast not that she hasn't had a job not she hasn't been working but now she's got a few s officially announced yesterday that escalated quickly I bet it did people going what what is she doing now doing now she's gonna be executive director of the BBY Chamber of Commerce too yeah uh that's I feel like it's a big girl job I went into my big girl office yesterday and I you know started moving stuff around and and moving some things in and shout out to all of our friends over at cap space Kim was there we got to chat and um I'm excited to do fun things in town there's a lot going on here oh yeah and this is a fun season or season of Illumination if you will yep and and as you discovered when when you know you started events on Cave con there's lots of stuff going on that in general we don't know about so if you have a chance to promote all the cool stuff that happens in in Mash p and I know the chambers all all work together it's going to be a big plus I am really excited to join the other chambers that was the first like greetings before the news was officially official and uh pretty much every single one of them reached out to me and said hi and I love the fact that I already know them and I've worked well with them before so it's going to be fun and I think it's nothing but good stuff for Cape Cod good morning Gloria dueling mermaids oh boy this is shaping up Deb is gonna be joining us from Allen Farm I've been so missing her produce yes I've been so missing her Farm house fresh uh Tomatoes which she still has an abundance and um uh she's got tons of like seasonal herbs for dressing and I'm looking forward to some some seafood and our amateurs amateurs we have amateur stuffies you're a judge I am yeah oh so you have to you have to judge but the stuff clam is the best stuff clam oh I love stuffies and we've got Italian stuffed clams right now we've got native stuffed clams we've got a few different recipes that are out there so if you think you make a a darn good stuffy and you think yours is the best please join us and uh enter the competition we've only got professional judges so you don't need to make a million of them to feed everybody professional right trust the professionals well I feel like you do such a good job today is National men make dinner day you didn't hear that Mari you just did did you just didn't hear that you well she's the cooker and you're you're the feaser so yes I definitely I've said this from all the way back from day from day one I married Mari for three reasons she loved her grandmother she loved football and she could cook oh I love that because I loved my grandmother and I love football and I can't cook withth a hoop well Chris was just in here Chris Ball from because I love her too right and she right somewhere in the list there was I love you that is on the list Chris is just in here speaking of football saying that uh that the Pats uh we say hello to my sainted mother-in-law hi Janet she came on on Tuesday I didn't notice it Stephanie acknowledged I Janet I know you didn't I didn't I didn't acknowledge it so I wanted to make sure but maybe you didn't realize it was your sainted mother-in-law I didn't realize it was that Janet oppos to any of it Janet yes thank you very much to mash P TV for hosting us on Thursdays yesterday the select board had a meeting yes and apparently if you live in the town of mashby our taxes are uh we're we're getting a tax break of sorts that's really cool 20% for being yearround residents I don't know what that means but it seems good for us and and you get and you get a tax break when you're an old person as well oh there he goes so I don't know if they kind of piggyback on each other is that why you're wearing the suit jacket good today just walking in with the jacket on well well I didn't know if you were going to be all dressed up because you have a big girl job now so I figured i' better put the because I have a tea time later this morning so I've got on golf pants and my tee are already in my pocket he's got the mullet happening right now right that the jacket just made me look like a business up front professional party downstairs it's all good hey miss Emily thank you for keeping lemonade are running in the office she's been working very hard behind the scenes Gathering um some donations items really cool donation items that we've got we've got nights away we've got golf we've got um various restaurants and food stuffs and this is our our fundraiser for lemonade and for our Christmas Market which is shaping up I'm very very excited yeah you should be our guys from the bone sauce are going to be joining us I am so excited for their wings nothing else folks just come for these guys yeah they're they're just a hoot they are they're looking also for housing so if anybody wants to house a couple of characters so that we have them all Christmas season let me know reach out to entertained oh 100% yeah they're really cool Jackie says she's retired from mermaiding I Jackie I I know I feel like you've got to step it up Jackie we need a couple live mermaid Only Just Begun We've Only Just Begun speaking of which shop local is happening in Mash B and we've only just begun we've got so many great local stores and we have talked about this before about shifting your spend to local uh it's it truly important and uh whether it's Ashley Irene Beyond Beauty cap con nail company Fab Villa our friends over at gelf Smith family popcorn puran or woodruff's Art Center we've got so many wonderful stores this is where you can go and grab your passport so when you shop there you get a little sticker oh really and then when you feel out the passport you can turn it in and we've got some amazing prizes oh we'll have to do that yeah so definitely suggest that you get out there and Shop locally she said if anybody has a refrigeration available we're also looking for that love it yeah Jenny wheeler might have womer Frid yeah I know I've got to reach out to Jenny she's on my list of people because she just seems to yes fall into that category of knowing where things need to be everywhere lately she's sort of expanded her well yeah Family Table collaborative does a really good job of feeding people if you need a meal there are several places in mashby I know that we're signing people up at the mash B Chamber of Commerce right now to have lovely meal thank you very much to Roach brothers that is delivered to your home this is for Thanksgiving and Christmas and there are no questions asked I don't care what you need the meal for if you're hungry and you've got family and you've got no means to feed them we've got it for you so that's really cool yeah definitely reach out by November 23rd and we will put you on the schedule to have a beautiful meal once again thank you very much to Roach brothers so um I saw this interesting little stat yes that I thought maybe my husband has it right I'm only gonna say it once I'm not repeating it he's definitely not listening to us so I can definitely talk about him it said that keeping your inner circle your group of friends small is actually beneficial to you does say you still have to have friends but keeping that Circle small is beneficial to you because they spend more time and Care on you uh that makes sense actually I know I'm I've got a lot of acquaintances but my inner Inner Circle is small yeah yeah we're pretty much the same way obviously Mari has acquaintance all over the world it seems like but but our our Inner Circle we still have best friends from attelboro and we moved away 30 years ago I feel like you keep a group of friends from each walk of your life right there's always like one or two that you stay in touch with from each part of your life whether it's motherhood College military High School grade school there's like one that I still talk to from kind of each yeah portion of my life and I got to hang out with my childhood bestie over the weekends right right we had we suck ke we had them over for to watch the football game on on Sunday and they've been well let's see Mari and I have been married for 35 years so they've been my friends for 35 years and they've been Lyn and Kevin have been Mar's friends for probably well obviously longer than longer than that way back from metal Bor days good times in the Burrows happy Thursday to you Dave hegner hey John are you still in Nashville did you survive I see you here on live I with the the crew that you were rolling with they are wild absolutely wild I I did not make any Honky Tonks oh no I did not I was in bed by like seven every night I'm like feel you in bed by seven I was tired oh see I wouldn't even do that I clean sheets a clean bedroom no kids and no pets it was like leave me be mom had a couple of days to herself I absolutely love those moments what's talking about that 107 years old 107 that's hope for us all right Phyllis Chapman is her name and she attributes her long life to being active and also it was learning yes yeah keep moving keep learning and she's a reader and likes history books really you're a reader oh I know I I I love to read I what are you into right now couple of books going at at the at the same time let's see well I'm while I'm working on macara Trophies by our friend eckan rush I'm working on no small feet the latest Spencer novel Robert Parker died a while ago but the Spencer mystery books are being written Now by Mike Lupa the sports writer okay and they're they're they're just fabulous and I've got I've got one other thing I'm one of those people I've got so whatever mood I'm in I'll pick that up I have to go back and I'm also that but I never finish yeah I have to go back and look at the last page or two of the pre you know of the chapter where I st to sort of remind me oh yeah okay this is what's going on and then and then bang yeah unless it's so good you can't put it down right I had a friend of mine that was having a conversation with me and I kept watching and glancing over and she was literally reading a book right and she's like I'm so sorry like right at the very end I'm like girl why are you here right now see that's stay at home that's the thing about about maaba trophies I could keep going yeah and going and going and going so could he apparently that's why it's so long right I'm sorry Ted I'm sorry it is long but it's good I know it's good but but I tell I gotta I got to stop because I don't have time in this particular time frame to keep keep going because I'll do I'll do nothing else but I'm but I'm working on it and it's um it's interesting it's heavy right yeah continuously educating yourself you might live to be 107 I've signed up for it I really want to take it yeah because I have no imagination my daughter wants to take it now she's like I'm 18 I can take the class I was like oh Lil she's like this summer make him do it again with the The Adult class if if you can't get the get the um get the signups he's gonna push it off till till after the first of the year but hey Miss Cindy I was so proud of you and I'm so sad that I missed your official pitch last night ephra all had a pitch competition I saw some postings on it and uh they invited entrepreneurs to come in and just talk about the blue economy and how their business correlates to it and it could have been very it's very Loosely based on the blue economy however the big winners were the blue economy being our ocean thank so uh chadam Harvesters ended up being not only fan favorite but winning the whole thing last night really which chadam Harvesters has joined us and they will be joining us further for our Christmas markets here in mashpi uh but locally sourced they really go to the Fishers they write down what boat it came from what kind of fish it is they do a really good job of packaging it so it stays the freshest the longest and they they want to just really amp up their game in the art Department yeah that's where they feel that they're they're not reaching some people so they're going to be changing some of their logo stuff and that's what they pitched for better graphics and all of that yeah and uh B bolstering their business so I'm pretty pumped for them but Cindy did a great job yesterday I saw JT in there uh sale Cape Cod which is something to do with art and and something else and then there was um a woman that was doing car seats that had a shade over them uh and and there were a few other entrepreneurs if I missed you I'm sorry I missed pretty much the entire pitch competition I slid in at the last minute to see if I could catch anybody and uh car seats with the shade huh car seats with the shade kind of like you know those bumbos you know the little seats that you used to put the kids in and like suction cup them to a table Yeah so it's kind of like that but with a shade so when they're at the beach or out very cool they're seated up and it's not yeah so Sandy too many compartments and whatnot right oh okay that's a NE idea stuff we all wished we had had when my kids were little we had nothing you had nothing yeah right you had nothing Fair touche Hank touche my goodness when I think when I think I remember when I was a you know way back way back when we had a my parents had a had a bassinet on legs that they put my baby brother in I thought they just put you in a drawer put it on the put it in the back seat of the car didn't hook it up to anything didn't do anything and off we went that's it I just think and my baby brother's 50 something years old now he's he's fine I distinctly remember my sister hitting the windshield real hard flying in from the back seat maybe that's what her issue is now I don't know but we're better now things are different so I was like that was really cool I really wished I had had something like that yeah good morning Miss Jen you did a fabulous job last night running the whole thing for eforall she's their project coordinator and uh their shoulder to cry on the the the human that the entrepreneurs go to and they're like I can't do it she's like yes you can can and you're gonna so shout out to e for all last night you did an amazing job handing out checks left and right they had even old cohorts come back and uh short thing Cap Cod got a check and I think Meg got a check checks check I was like w wow what do I do to get a check right no I'm here I'm just in the building supporting everybody and I'm pretty pumped about it because we need to do better here on the cape bolstering and helping our businesses so that's what pushed me into here this new executive director job at the the mashby Chamber of Commerce so I do also want to just say I've got my office at Cape space I'm going to be there most days during the week from 8 until 2 come by say hi talk to me about your business I would love to uh connect you with uh bettering everything for everyone um Mash B's got a big game on Friday yes they do St Bernard Bernard St Bernard Bernard either way we're a higher seed than they are right my son's a little disappointed because the senior that he's been playing for is uninjured and is playing oops and I was like you know what buddy you did your job you held it you got us to the playoffs let that senior have his moment he's like Mom he's a beast she's in great shape he was like really so complimentary and cute about it go there you go for those of you old enough to remember St Bernard is in fitzburg used to be Central Catholic okay so that may mean something to you going it's Central Catholic yeah they like Oprah with the check is Right Nate handing out checks left and right you get a check retro car seat safety EK yeah EK well that's our friend from car seat Mama also her second hat so she's just like thing is car seat safety they had a a strap I remember there was a strap that you tied someone to like a leash yes in the back seat just so they don't float around just this little kind of whippy plastic thing here's your baby leash and we'll get in the front seat we'll smoke as we drive roll up the windows yeah oh yeah oh my God how we're alive how Miss Phyllis Chapman is living to 107 Mash all have no idea I wonder if she smoked she probably did but things were different then Chris was saying she graduated from Bentley college and and God knows how long ago that was Bentley college is a business school it was pretty much a men's school yeah I mean women didn't go to Business Schools and so she's a she's a real interesting character she must be a tough old I love it yeah and you can watch that interview on Mash PTV Channel 1072 and HD if you don't have HD get a new box call 1800 Comcast so yesterday we were ending the show yes and I had the lovely Cara Gerard on with me from we can talking about all the fabulous women's programming that we've got here on the cape and if you need anything from workshops to a lawyer call we can they'll direct you so as we're ending the show the spider just starts crawling down from the ceiling and I'm like all right we got to end the show so I got like three text messages what did you do with the spider like oh my God the spider went outside the spider went outside Cindy was like leave the spider in there to kill other things I'm like I don't want to know I don't want to know any of that stuff yeah but spiders Doo they kill they kill other things they get the but we felt like Little Miss Muffin up in there where it was just like crawling down from the ceiling to visit us and then I saw the story today at LaGuardia they had a similar situation only it was a raccoon oh well that's a little different can you imagine no just sitting there at lag Guardian all of a sudden coming down from the ceiling is a raccoon like hey what's up the raccoon probably as confused as everyone else was I heard he got snacks but yeah raccoon descends from the ceiling at LaGuardia scaring the everyone out of everything yeah got the raccoon probably scaring the raccoon because he was just you know smelling some way out of his element yeah for sure hey Miss Amina our friends over at Cape Cod pickle company are going to be hanging out with us on Friday we'll be over at knockabout yes and uh we're playing some cards if you know the game Hyo Jack please swing on by and play some cards with us we're gonna have a pitch tournament if you don't know how to play we'll teach you how to play it's going to be fun and Amina is going to be there with her pickles we're bringing a pickle Seltzer to the mix so where are my pickle people if you are interested in trying the pickle Seltzer or didn't have the tickle my pickle Seltzer you definitely missed out on that that one mhm we will be offering that up for you on Friday at knockabout 13 Lake AV in mashby playing some cards and raising a couple of bucks for our nonprofit lemonade and what time six o'clock come have a pizza have some pickles have a pint I don't know how I have tried to learn how to pitch and I do morning shout out to the baby of lemon Ado doing a little walk-in thing Lem baby we have a walker you're in trouble yep baby gates straps seats all the above trying to keep that baby for those stairs at the lemon Ado mansion that I I did that I did that top to bottom landed on my skull crack my skull open stitches Staples the whole thing when I was a baby really well I was watching Wonder Woman with my dad and I thought I could fly so I went you can't I couldn't apparently turns out and I hit the radiator at the bottom of the stairs maybe that's what happened to me yeah and again talking about baby safety radiators I know right you touch them and like molten lava thing maybe that's what saved me maybe it burned itself closed as I was cracking it open I do not miss those times of mothering where just everything is dangerous and those babies have no idea what the heck is going on other bounce bounce I guess they bounce a little yeah they bounce enough just a little out of trouble a couple of times with with Megan in particular that she just bounced I didn't say anything and then years later I was saying to Mari remember the time when and Mari went oh no no I said oh yeah that's right when it happened I called my mother to ask you what I should do I didn't call Mari because you get in less trouble with your mother right my mother reassured me everything would be fine the little ones bounce yeah it was and it worked out and I I never told Mari so much later I was still in trouble I didn't avoid the getting in trouble part you're always going to be in trouble you know this right I just delayed it that's all happy birthday to uh Joanie Mitchell 81 years old today my gosh that's unbelievable I feel like she was older I did too actually and she's still performs but she really she really can't s God bless her but she really can't sing anymore I hate it when they do you know who's 79 is there Clapton now that I don't believe how's that one folks he's 79 cuz you men age better than we do I don't know what it is but guys you just tend to age just more gracefully than us and I'm not saying that I'm just saying in general I great see some knockout women all the time that I'm Blown Away by how old they are I really good jeans well I don't have them I mean look about look about men aging you know president Trump is 78 I mean granted he has makeup and his hair done and everything right so somebody his his his age you know I was reading up um a story in the Washington Post yesterday about the campaigns and everything and one of the things that I found that was really interesting was the role that his son Baron played in the campaign giant he's become a giant six foot eyes he's six foot n yeah but Trump's campaign people went to him and said he should start going on these um podcasts that were directed towards um young males and they mentioned one particular podcast meant nothing to me and and then they mentioned it to Baron and baron went to his dad and said dad I listened to this all the time yeah they really do listen to pods so every time after that when the team would go to president Trump and say we think you should go on this his first question would be did Baron okay this and if Baron okayed it he he was good with it the other thing that I thought was really interesting is we don't have any sense of trump as a family man you know and and to hear that story about you know his kid was involved in deciding what podcast he went on that humanized him a smidge a smidge for you a smidge for me I'm really proud of you you're here having this conversation today still I thought that was a cool story yeah because it's the little things that make obviously that make a difference well that's the conversation that I think everybody is having now um as far as how you're getting your information where you're hearing things what content are you getting at how are you getting it and uh these these kids are they have everything at their fingertips can you imagine if we had all of this information at our fingertips no I couldn't process it right but they're different I mean they grew they grew up with it yeah you know I mean and I'm kind of sort of good with stuff not as good as I could be but um we're working on it you know anytime something comes up I'll I'll always say I get a 12 and a halfy old granddaughter I'll ask her right you know like like when I got my car I said come on Marian you got to sit in the car and learn how this works I don't want to I said look I'm not going to because it's got one of those screens and all the technical stuff I said you're gonna be doing this I'm yeah my brain is full of useless knowledge right sorry we're full right got lots going on today I'll be over at Yacht Club at five o'clock yachties I'm looking forward to seeing you they roast me on the weekly if I get anything wrong if I say anything wrong oh really if I it and they don't like the questions I get booze they make me laugh I actually really do have a good time with them it is the art Club yeah well we have a good time are you upstairs or downstairs I'm upstairs oh okay with the regular people with the regular people right right not downstairs with sometimes I'm downstairs those you know right I it's it's a choose some once in a while it's an occasional downstairs I'm allowed down there yeah exactly just for good behavior uh and Cliff is gonna be over at Ryan's 10 pin eery if you're looking for a little visual trivia which is totally cliff didn't like to do this right and he's like a regular on the trail now he's Mr trivia guy he loves making the games yes he is a maker a fixer he's a Virgo it's like in his nature he likes thing I swear he's gonna build a house with it you should see his new t-shirts it's great and now we need hats I've been telling we need lemon don't worry because we're going to be Printing and pressing things in our new lemono vehicle uh at at our Christmas Market you got to see the vehicle guys it looks like a bee you will not be able to miss it it is a bright yellow it's got a black stripe it's fully painted now on the outside the outside is done now we're working on we'll see we'll see what well he wants to print it himself God you know if you put the logo on it that could make it a target for for people who want to spray things although you got a big blank yellow goad spray paint it big blank yellow canvas my God I'm gonna leave it there go ahead and write it spray paint see what's gonna happen surprise me oh that could be fun that listen we just got insurance on it oh you did thank God someone actually insured it shout out to our local insurance companies I'm not gonna hose you but thank you it's the only way we could get insurance is from our local companies please let that be a lesson to you please please call around I know a lot of our entrepreneurs small businesses struggle to how much coverage what do I need where do I go start with your local insurance companies because they can really get to the nitty-gritty and find exactly what it is you need oftentimes people buy insurance online and then they're really not they bu based on TV ads that can be really funny and what happens is the rates are low for the first three months and then do you know how many of my friends have been personally attacked with their insurance and not having the cover they thought they had coverage for because it was an online vendor that was less than reputable right really disappointing so do your research and start locally is all I can say to you I mean I know when we we paid off um one of our cars I said to Mari just put the basic insurance on it you know but we went to a local Insurance vendor and they said you know you know what you're not going to save all that much money and don't mess around and and you really do need the protection I know and it seems like a lot when you're spending 20 bucks every single a month extra for X Y and Z or a 100 bucks extra for X Y and Z you never going to use chances are but if anything God forbid happens to you make sure that you're protected and I'm I don't work for an insurance company and I barely know any of them in person but I'm just saying start locally right do yourself a favor oh yeah so yeah we've got that uh I'm just really looking forward to getting all the market stuff out of my living room and into the categorized we've got drawers we've got a label maker things are going to be where they belong organized wow I don't even know who I am right now things have labels on them I in a drawer where they belong and no animals or creatures living in there it's a new lease on life H this is a new Stephanie wow 2025 Stephanie I'm telling you wait a minute I'm gonna take a picture the new Stephanie this new Stephanie just crawled out a bed today going time to make the donuts I got things to do today uh also Bria is going to be out over at Cape Cod beer for just music bingo so if you just need a departure and want to listen to some good Tunes our prize this month we giving away a beautiful prize it's tickets to The Nutcracker and they're not schlub seats oh good it's also a night day and dinner out so you get a full date night in Boston to see The Nutcracker wow with your whoever very cool it could be your kid it could be your spouse it could be your friend it could be that date that you've been trying to get m very nice I know classic I'm excited for we're up in the game here right just a little bit don't go crazy it's Christmas it's Hanukkah it's whatever it's your end of the year celebration we're doing we're bringing the the big things um I know we've got our 12 Days of Christmas coming up at the mash P um chamber and we've got some really good prizes I've been collecting if you're a local business out there and would like to donate something to this please I suggest that you get a hold of me because I good morning some of the things that I don't like about this season the flavors beverages on the internet right now Dr nog yes Dr Pepper and eggnog no I don't like Dr Pepper I like eggnog with a little something in it but now you're talking but it's got to be homemade eggnog I've been spoiled the one trip I used to make every single year was on my birthday my birthday is the day after Christmas just in case you want to write that down um it's a terrible birthday no one wants to do anything everybody's partied out caked out C out we are toast Stephanie go away return day everything needs to go back to where where it came from right you know I just I just noticed this it's not even Thanksgiving and Ducks has got the Christmas C we're moving on to the next oh moving on to the next so I would always get a treat and we'd go to Cisco on net nice place take the boat over because I loved their eggnog it was homemade eggnog I I've never had it better anywhere else if you're an eggnog god did you just go round and round and round the train all night before they found me that's where I was I was out there having a grand old time oh the good old days things we can't do anymore for a thousand no Nate says I listen to a lot of sports podcasts by reputable sources don't you feel like there are too many sports podcasts there too many everything that's fair you know that's fair there really is by the way there are over 2 million podcast and it's not stopping people from making podcasts but you've got to find your Niche right you got to find the people that you like the most estate specialist which means I'm iner certified in helping old people buy and sell homes I think it's important to happen though when you grow out of that when you're finally like I can't pay this mortgage anymore I'm on a fixed income this is not for me I think that there are lots of conversations what what happens is one of the biggest problems is people get do the reverse mortgage thing and I won't get into it not a good move unless you know I mean I know some people you don't have many Choice you've got to do it but it can get really messy the other thing that that we come up with a lot in my and I have spent we this seems to become a niche for us although it's it's kind of common on the cape we end up working with a lot of families who are selling Mom and Dad's home and Mom and Dad are gone yeah and that's a whole other can of worms with some of the things that come up can come up because the kids don't always know what Mom and Dad have done and as they get into it they they realize oh they did this they did that what do you mean as a lean for this I know and a lot of disservices that we do definitely reach out to if you're looking for somebody our friends over at uh um AMR because they are absolutely fabulous at what they do and this is not a he doesn't pay me this is not a plug by any means but go at least have a conversation with a Financial Consultant yeah um as you're planning little things like your will or this or that because you can do a disservice to your kids and leave them a huge tax burden oh yeah oh like some of the stories that I've heard I was like oh I don't even know what to do I don't even have any dollars but we when you've got a house you you've got assets and you need to protect your kids from having to spend all kinds of money and then probation time and sitting if you have a house and you have kids if you can find a way to put all of them or one of them on the deed on the mortgage at least on the deed it's going to save them so much time and I don't even know if that's the right idea anymore I think they want to trust they just get the house disaster and then they don't have to go through all the other all the other 13 days away from his 16th birthday yeah and he's like H I don't care what would you do for for a boy for sweet 16 I feel like that was an MTV show that they hyped up for no reason I mean we did a huge thing I forget what my daughter did she's always extravagant over the top I think we had a trip to New York went and saw a Broadway show like it was a big to do for her street I don't remember if we did anything for oh no we had a weekend we had a weekend long party for her we had people flying from everywhere she had a tea party to end it over at the dunar wow Saturday we were over at Shipwrecked in Falmouth we had a reception it was like absurd her sweet 16 was absurd a full weekend of it I think it the show on MTV that kind of highlighted these incredibly rich people who did these crazy duto things right and then it sort of trickled down to like bought Beyonce and where all of a sudden like it like it's a Mitzvah of some sort right it's a big to-do yeah so I was just curious if anybody's doing anything fun for their sweet 16 did you do anything fun for your sweet 16 was it sweet I think I think I ran away from home I don't know what happened on my 16th birthday I was like I'm done with two people I'm trying to figure out when the hell I was 16 years old you even remember being 16 it would have been oh God no right I had a surprise sweet 16 to get me to the say about the year the 1969 and and all of the stuff that had happened crazy as as as I'm reading this stuff it's nuts like right all of the wild things that happened internet was invented in 1969 not that anybody used it no Sesame Street came on in 1969 The Godfather the book was published in um the Concord flew for the first time that's when it was luxury right yeah that's when that was like a city in the air y I knew guys who who were older who were older than me that went to to Woodstock and they had no idea what they were going like why are we here what's happening and they came back like two weeks later I where were you oh my god you'll never believe where I was you never believe what I did never believe what I don't remember you went to Woodstock Chris Ball live Woodstock now I've got to take him out to dinner and hear that story absolutely wow my family surprised me time I'm not here and you jump in my seat wood stuck oh doing in myat Kaya her family surprised her and they all went to the Blue Man Group on the spirit of Boston yeah that's what I feel like I've got to take him and go do something and celebrate him guess he's just such a low fanfair kid what would be a cool lowkey thing to do I know especially for a dude maybe a Celtics game surprise him with Celtics tickets he's such a basketballer yeah Danny Walsh if you're listening I'm having your wife Brandy on the show with me on Monday if you want to throw me some tickets or some ideas of where I can get better tickets he's right on the court H is he really right on the court wow season tickets has had them through thick and thin though has had season tickets so like the last 25 years yeah he's suffered yeah they lost last night he has suffered they lost last night to the to the Warriors but it was a really really really good game yeah I think that that might be fun maybe I'll look into something like that yeah if anybody's got any ideas please I'd like to surprise him and a couple of his goofball buddies they're all they're awesome you've seen them at the farmers market from helping people Gra grab all of their food out of their Vans to setting up tents to grudgingly hanging up signs or wearing whatever foolish sign their mother makes them wear I was like here you go you're gonna be a shark today turn put this on your chicken put this on your pickle you know Cody doesn't have any choice but the fact that his buddies go along they do I think is I think is really they're there for moral support we've got some really cool kids at Mash B doing really amazing things and we're working on a volunteer program right now and I know cons over at mashby Middle High School does a really good job connecting everybody uh so well more to come on that one as we hit could say look she's your mother not mine no they do they and they're nicer to me he's the grumbler the boys are like your mom needs it let's just do it thanks but I just really appreciate all of them they're really really quite good kids uh whatever it is that you're out there doing today I hope that I've got a little more strength and energy in you to have a good time like I said we'll be out and all of our events by the way are free you can just go and have a good time it's uh at Cap Cod beer for music Bingo uh we'll be at 10 pin eery for a little bit of visual trivia I'll be at highis Yacht Club for
