saraphina and I were in a entrepreneurial book club where Stephanie never read the right book and Stephanie was terrible at this book club I really sto at CL I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual a proud of it hello and good morning hello boys and girls welcome to election day I'm back thank the good Lord and Stephanie it's election day and Stephanie's back who could ask for anything more I me seriously we had a long uh a long but short weekend I feel like I I packed a lot of uh stuff uhuh into my very short trip uhuh to Kentucky and Tennessee fact I thought you were talking about shoes or something no God no I had a backpack like I always travel very light any you guys travel light yeah my girlfriend was like horrified she's like seriously I was like it's two days actually it's like a day and a half right how much do I need right I really don't need a lot I went and um we flew to Louisville which I've never been to Kentucky uh and we stopped at Jim Beam on the way stopped at a bues which is like uh Disneyland for southerners okay uh it was like a brand new one okay and if you've never been to bues it's a it's pretty insane 100 gas pumps really um they they have their own mascot obviously Bucky Beaver buy Bucky to Beaver and then they make like uh brisket sandwiches right there in the middle of it they have like a taco maker in there they were making like fresh donuts right there oh yeah wow massive and then there was like a whole another side it reminds me of have you ever been to that camping store that's in Gillette yes what is it like Bass River Pro Shop yeah it's like that but a gas station but a gas okay so we very much enjoyed that and uh then Nashville of course was full of New England right it was everybody from New England right because you could get tickets I immediately caught up with uh John and t calesa uh right right there at Laney Wilson's bar um by the way not cheap to be out and about really one of our friends had walked over with a drink and he goes just in case you were wondering um how much double Red Bull and vodka would G to cost you it's $38 $38 wow like what well the stars have to make their investment back somehow yeah $54 for a bucket of five beers like five Co lights no I was like okay so we we don't need this right where's in our life where's the py that's it although if you asked them where the pachy was they go huh no we went to the py because we got a giant container that looked like a colost bag of sweet tea oh we got to go Hatty bees chicken and they gave us this giant bag of sweet tea and I'm walking down the street with it like I'm doing exercises like it was a kettle bell it was uh it's so Nashville I it just it made me happy though to see that sheer amount of humans out and about doing stuff at 6 pm. right I was like the streets were full and everybody was full and it was 6 p.m. like excuse me unlike unlike here un like here you're like hello is there anybody around although I have to say Halloween night um we brought Mariana to her um friend who happens to be a boy's house Y and and they were going out trick-or-treating and then what were we going to do so of course we looked to find some place to eat and we went to Hy's mobed oh yeah mobed there well that's like one of the big holidays that they shut the streets down let everybody trick or treat yeah no it was it was really cool it was really nice to see the kids and the families and and and all of that shout out to Marty brel over at the greater High Inus chamber they do a great job that in the bid always do a really nice job for the kids they asked me if we would do a Flash mob thriller thing next year I said we'll see we'll see yeah slow your roll Marty that's a lot of work all right right good morning Miss Mar Jamie Dave hegner good morning to you Mario Keef Karen I was hoping I was going to get to see you today be well over there on the island good morning Emily and Nate vote Stephanie Viva for president Hank for VP right yeah listen it's election day it's finally here and poor the poor news Acres on channel five already seem exhausted oh yeah they were just like it it it okay and and Cliff and I looked at each other and like did he finish a sentence it's going to be a long day over it's going to be a long day it's going to be a long night too because they're not going to depending upon how first of all don't if if you first of all please go vote and then after that just don't read anything the polls are just several of the news sites if you look at them there's one story and a story next to it and they contradict each other right but they are saying don't expect any results tonight my college daughter is going to be voting with us for the first time so after we wrap up here the three of us are going to go and vote it'll be her first time which is just very exciting and then we're putting her on a bus back to college not driving to S the big hangup is going to be Pennsylvania because the legislature there changed the way votes are counted and they have to be handc counted and Pennsylvania is one big fraking state so so that's going to take that's going to take a while maray says that's a great ticket I think it's a lovely ticket yes a ticket to what we're not sure but a ticket nonetheless yeah and and by the way folks if if you think okay I live in Massachusetts I know what's going to happen on the presidential election yeah you probably do but there are my goodness a race United States Senator there's um local Senate races there's all kinds of really um big State Rep races there's County races there's the ballot questions that we haven't had so many cool ballot cool maybe is in the right word we we haven't had so many um worthwhile ballot questions in a really long time conversations that needed to happen so yeah I mean you know mcast and the and the Uber and lift drivers to Union and and the thing about you know tips or whatever I mean there's there's like six of them that that that are really kind of oh this is this is consequential yeah yeah not just some Mumble Mumble Mumble Mumble Mumble right and you don't know what the hell it means because I got written by a lawyer and nobody knows he a really good one very excited not to see signs anymore or it to find out what happens with Kelly aat can she go away please thank you that was the one thing that I did like about being in Nashville it was different Pol politicians so I'm like this is new this is someone I've never seen before thank the Lord because I'm sick of New Hampshire's oh sick of newshire my goodness oh they spend so much do they spend as much money at home that they do with us I don't know but they spend you know Boston TV isn't cheap they spent a boatload of money absurd amount of money is wasted on political ads for sure right good morning miss Helen so we're here go do your duty and vote today if you've not already early voted which I know a ton of people have already done it and they don't want to talk about it anymore right right they got over with did what they did and whatever and um dixville Notch which is that little town in New Hampshire that always votes first they tied okay great so here we go folks it's GNA be a long one for sure I know friends of ours we've got trivia tonight over at um at um Shipwrecked and uh the general manager's like I'm not even coming in tonight I'm just I can't we thought we were gonna cancel trivia we're just like we need somebody needs something to do I'm like for sure so we've got music Bingo over at ba Le s's gonna be handling that one and I know I heard we've got a bunch of people going out just to have a good time relax and not focus on Staring at your TV screen all night long so if you're looking for a departure uh that has nothing to do with anything that's going on politically where are your people come and find us tonight good prizes good tunes and just a little bit of a break from what is happening in the world and and when we and when they when it's figured out who wins and who loses move on yep not gonna change it move on that's it voted last week good morning Helen smart of you now you don't have to deal with any of that yeah so uh we we got in through Boston yesterday always just so confusing when you're in there but I did laugh that I saw a storrowing incident that happened in Cambridge uh only this time it happened to be a porta potty truck it was a messy commute yesterday in Boston oh it took 45 minutes for them to go through and then come back and then pick up the pieces of all the nasty porta potties that fell off the back of this track yuck yuck yuck when will they ever learn I don't know but I got to I got to double up our porta potty situation what what happens to a driver when he sees the sign that says whatever the clearance is and he knows he's bigger you know you're not wh why what what happens in the mind that makes you say you know what but I can fit yeah right like I'm gonna take out some air of my tires and try and go slowly through here it's not like Sandy neck buddy no no no good times I love it hello from San Diego what's up Kim thanks for joining us on the show are you ready for this election to be over I'm sure uh you're done with your local politicians as well I think we're all just kind of like fatigued and ready to talk about something else I did enjoy watching the Pats lose on Sunday uh not particularly them losing but I did enjoy the game it was a good game right and you you enjoyed the experience of doing it we had great seats yeah well it I I don't think the people in Nashville are too are too thrilled with the with the football team anyway oh no we're all bad so it was like we I had an aggressive fan behind an aggressive Nashville fan behind me um and then it took him almost the whole game to realize that we were Pats fans and then he was like oh I'm so sorry I was like no it's not a big deal whatever we're here visiting you but it was a really big mix of people really nice to see kids at games because it's affordable right um everything ran smoothly bathroom lines in and out no problems it was just very respectful y very nice uh they're really involved fans we got to see Ryan crest Luke Holmes Really Lio Richie the entire team from American Idol showed up they had one of the American Idol contestants sing for golden ticket or whatever oh really so it was like I was like what we get Carrie Underwood right there like right there so really really really cool uh well it's Nashville yeah yeah so you saw the three judges and then I had no idea that Ryan C Chris was also there I'm like you've gotta be kidding me right now so that was kind of that was pretty cool he never sleeps no no he's definitely a vampire we also got to see the University of Tennessee Grammy awardwinning B marching band at halftime and they were they were so good y I mean really good like a massive marching band so that was kind of a trait and uh yeah the Hat snug it up what are you gonna do right right but Drake May seems to be the real deal yeah he seems to know what he's doing and it's just everyone else around him is just oh I know we got so excited when we went into overtime we so so we got our tickets worth that's for sure right and then we made friends with the Titans fans that were to our right and left and they ended up buying us beers and that time where we're like okay now what do we do we just sit here right and wait to lose now yep here's a beer we're sorry we stink too right but you stink more than us y yep well now we're even now we're evenly terrible right but if if the season were to end today the Patriots would have the number one draft pick right which we need right God knows if they do anything running back or something I don't know not that I'm a sports gal by any means but they need a lot yeah yes yes they do what's up Gloria we just talked about our stering incident but oh here we go Steelers six and two good for you Nate that's all I have to say it wasn't our time yep happy for you buddy yep I wanted to look for a crazy crime because I saw a couple of them that were uh I don't know decent yeah and we have some stuff from the um from the S police police department first of all folks the sandwich police department and most police departments will be thrilled when the election is over because you read the log and I don't know how many posts there are is that political signs of people calling to saying they're political signs grow up children really you got to steal a sign that's like 9-year-old maybe I get it you're driving by it every single day and you're sick of seeing it all of us are too but but you you don't need to take that on to yourself yeah what else there was a yelling incident I thought very we'll get this one uh let's see it's probably all the way down the end let's see um I'll be with you a minute folks oh voices carry apparently a caller reported hearing screaming coming from a home on drive but was unsure of the address responding officers realized the voices were coming from stoping shop a group of employees said they had been yelling wonder if they were celebrating that paper bags are free again did yeah we got paper we got the plastic ones too though right like the other so I don't there was some sort of to-do about the bags that Stop and Shop yeah I don't I don't I don't we don't go to Stop and Shop all that much we quit there too we also quit there we can't deal with it anymore no I did see a crazy Crime Story coming out of Georgia where a 64y old man was sentenced to 40 years in prison for stealing over a million dollars from his mother from his mom 64 years old wow that's wow well I mean you you disabled exploitation of a disabled adult or elderly person it was 35 counts of theft by taking wow your mom a million bucks this guy doesn't even look sorry about it either no bus no well that's all right um you know here's a here's another one oh you're still with the sandwich police they're not very fun most of them are like no no but it's but but it's like use your head a company a company monitoring a work site called to report two pickup trucks trespassing officers were dispatched the monitoring company called back to confirm that the drivers are actually contractors going to work really well this is everybody thinks that the police now what are you going to do what don't worry about it somebody's watching you somewhere somebody's watching you somewhere yes and they don't know what they're doing probably well that was um I got a text message from my friend T from the game and apparently they take aerial photos of you at the stadium yeah so there was one photo of me from the game that she text me from the game from the game taken from I I couldn't look more miserable like look at the face I I must have like the most disgusted look on my face for somebody that must have said something yeah yeah yeah you're like I must have said somebody must have said something rude but I just look absolutely miserable during this game I'm like wow than thanks thanks happy to be so happy I'm here contrary to this photo I did have a good time that was when you found out the beers were $38 a piece probably I was like wait what yeah so someone's always watching you anywhere everywhere that's how we watched our trick-or-treaters for uh for Halloween we put a b a a container out yeah put it on the deck we saw a couple of cute kids come and take the candy and then all of a sudden we noticed that the bucket was missing so my husband had to like rewind through it and it was my son who stole the bucket off of the deck so I to text him put the damn bucket back the candies actual trick or treating right now candy back slob oh speaking about outside I see we have a yellow we do really cool it came around the corner like wow that is very yellow it is very lemony yell so our camper that has been just sitting rotting on my on my yard um we have given it some new life Lily has been working all weekend long and painting the inside of it and we painted the outside of it and it is very yellow yes well like like yeah like like kind of this yellow yellow looks like a bus right but think of it a van okay a big bus you're not going to miss it at the farmers market so I'll tell you what it's it's striking yep we've got the cape C Christmas markets right around the corner we are like two three weeks away two weeks away from clam jam and that three weeks away from our first capc Christmas Market I've been getting all of the the marketing stuff together for it we're ready we've got great vendors wonderful food fabulous entertainment and tons of kids activity Lauren has been working really hard in Santa's little workshop making sure that we've got some fun and festive stuff the whole Woods area is going to be a kids really yeah activity center and we've got Christmas trees and we've got wreath making and we've got cookie decorating W um and a snow machine uh it definitely going to be a really good time and I hope that you'll be able to join us for at least one of them uh every weekend from November 23rd until December 15th Saturday and Sunday 11 to3 speaking of cookie making yeah our friend Natasia ashoff um from Kate Batter who was one of our vendors at the at the market made her debut last night on the holiday baking Championship program on I love seeing Cape cotters on TV on the Food Network yep she really well the first her her first dessert they thought it was a little too big for the plate but then the second one she she she makes big things and and they were given various kinds of candy bark and I don't know what kind of bark she had but she made a cake like I don't know it looked like it was I don't know probably like this big um but the outside all looked like the bark of a tree so cool it was just it was stunning it really was well I'm looking forward to rooting for Natasha definitely watch when you don't want to watch any of the elri and we are eting trying to work with the Food Network so Natasha can come on and talk to us oh amazing at various points in the in the competition she won't be on every week but we've gotta um run stuff through the um the Food Network obviously because they have a brand to protect so um we're working on it Mari says that Mariana is getting an elf costume for our client appreciation party yes music provided by Stephanie Viva I love it yes yep yep Mariana's Gonna Be Santa we're having an elf there this perfect for the first time we are also going to be having Elf on a Shelf watching us from various spots during the Cap Cod Christmas Market so you better be on your best behavior we have a lot of performance artists gonna do a fish show wow I know I know how about the mench on the bench you gonna have the mench on the bench no mench on the bench wait a minute who out there could be our one of our good Menches please got to have a mench on the bench there are benches there you can have a mench on the bench just volunteer yourself to be a bench on a bench hey no no no no no gotta have equal time gotta have equal time do you just just I love it the equal time provision yes was eliminated in 1987 yeah when the vice president was on Saturday Night Live uhuh an FCC commissioner said that it violated the equal time provision okay which hasn't existed since 1987 what in the well still uh NBC did exactly that they gave equal time so Pomo was on SNL made an appearance the goodbye performance there but then they gave free airtime to Trump during NASCAR and during um NFL so they did give free time and they did make it equal and fair so I thought that that was right whether you liked it or not I know I don't know but it hasn't been required since 1987 I know it's still nice to be just to give both sides don't get me going I know don't get me going then I want to see equal time for the vice president on Fox News yeah right come on yes perfect and I would love to see Mariana dressed as an elf walking around the farmer you Chang subject absolutely I'm just so over it I am too I think absolutely everybody else is also I'm just ready to explode about it it's like are We Done Yet no we're not today is national donut day as well as election day don't have my donut yet I'm actually finishing Mariana's instant breakfast this morning oh because the Dunkin Donut I goove over to school and the Dunkin Donuts that I stopped that thinking I was gonna able to grab a coffee or something it was like they were having a high school reunion in the drive-through line today oh maybe everybody's back home to vote it was like someone was placing you going oh oh my God Bobby that's you and then the guy with the microphone who's taking the order he leaves the Dunkin' donuts and comes out and starts talking to the the girl and the line it's like out to the street oh wow and he's talking I'm like oh come on really and then somebody else comes out and waves and and the line is like so you just abandoned it I I can't got that's it got to be here for 730 coffe right now I'm well a little bit this morning but other than that I'm coffeeless I was like wow you are uncaffeinated and he and look at me he's a little crazy so watch out world but I had to be here for 7:30ish well I appreciate you being here for 7:30ish we are going to be keeping that tradition going um because I I I took a job you're G to admit it I I I'm going to admit it she listen she's actually GNA work now I I well I mean I'm going to be you know just getting some monetary um bump for the things I was already doing so it's not really but I did officially take a job so everyone I'm going to be the new executive director over at the mashby Chamber of Commerce I'm very excited about this job because it gets me to do the things that I'm already doing here at lemon Ado uh and a bigger light which I'm pumped for so we have people like Emily um and we've got some new staff members that are going to be coming on board to Lemon Ado coming on board to the market and taking some of that lift off of me um so might not be seeing me so much in the trivia music bingo World uh but you can always come and find me at my office which is going to be in Mash B Commons right at Cape space and I'm going to be there pretty much every single weekday from 8 until 2: so you'll be able to find me if you want me I will be over there so thank you very much Miss Emily I appreciate you thank you Mary I appreciate that so so this program is still going to be 7:30ish to 8:30ish correct here or there so it could be here it could be there it depends on how I'm running late hey it might be catch me if you can't situation but I would ultimately like to set something up at Cape space yeah to invite our businesses between that and mash P TV to come on and have a conversation I know I've already talked to Marty and Chrissy and some of the other chamber members and um leaders and we want to do a local Chambers pod as well as you know some of the show so yeah we are going to be adding some more um local flare uh a little little further out from ashp so it should be good I'm looking forward to it and uh yeah I'll have an office that'll be fun I know come and see me everybody we got a lot of work to do and I got to get this Christmas parade together right now well we at Ma in mashby have one of the only Christmas parades that's in the evening so there are a couple of other you know situations that you have to work out more so than others in the um administering and organizational realm of things because it's in the dark with children you know yeah there's lights just no candy no candy no candy no insurance for that I don't think so we're working on that you have no idea the stuff that goes on behind the scenes of all these things but we will definitely be talking about them because I think they're important I think it's important for people to know you know we've got we've got a light situation going on you need you need insurance for candy absolutely so so as they do on some of these these floats in the parade as they drive by they're throwing lollipops and stuff off the they can't do that anymore no no Stephanie says Stephanie says I mean I can't say that you can't I mean I can't stop you from doing whatever it is that you're going to do as a human but you're on your own if a kid chokes yeah that's no we say no to the candy right Stephanie is not going to help you not dealing with it plus me personally that last year took a full five hours cleaning up all the rappers and garbage that people left behind on the fields on the on the streets yep uh and it was just gross I mean between candy wrappers and dirty diapers people I was just so grossed out who whoa whoa Duty diapers oh yeah just left it on the ground on the field they changed the kid and left the diaper yeah that was our first Cap Cod Christmas market last year cleaning up dirty diapers melted ice cream cones and candy wrappers for hours what kind people do not clean up after themselves period and when you get people in mob situations they clean up less they're like well it's not me there's a million other people being gross I might as well be gross and that is just not the attitude we have to have it's just not we need to all just be a little bit better about it so like oh my God but yeah there'll there'll be a press release about my new position coming out you know I wasn't a I'm not in a rush for all of this right I'm just like let me slide into this job and figure out how it works first but January 1st I'll be full-time so I'm not we're going slow and steady into this yeah because I've got a lot to learn in a small amount of time and I've got a lot of Duties to take over and Julie did a really good job and now she's off to her new big girl job uh helping the capcog community health center so very cool we wish everybody well and uh we got work to do that's all I have to say about that good morning Dan Chase it's now not Horror Season we're now here pointed at Thanksgiving and uh let the turkey begin it's one of my favorite holidays it's one of my I think it's probably my favorite I I like the meal at Thanksgiving yeah better than any other well it's lowkey uh we really don't do very much and we don't get dressed up anymore we've got the football game uh Mash B by the way number three seed in the playoffs very nice uh they did have a loss on Friday the boys were very bitter about it because they were winning and then they last minute lost ouch they just let the game go good morning Liz thanks for joining us good morning Lauren I've heard nothing but people singing your Praises several of my girlfriends had birthday parties one was a Mad Hatter tea party and she said I've never seen anybody be able to get all of the kids seated at a table for a photo with everybody paying attention like Lauren like Lauren so you got her done Girl by the way Lauren did you see the makeup job Mariana did for Halloween as uh be juice pretty impressive pretty impressive and we know where she started with that yeah well Lauren did my friend's face the the chocolate chocolate Nana yeah full on um what is that diod deas muus yeah something like that like the sugar skull yeah absolutely stunning yeah for the annual meeting that we had for the greatest the greater highest chamber sure did she looked amazing she said she said and that was a freaking magical party right there that's amazing what's up Jen thanks for checking in with us how's everybody doing today it's Tuesday we got a lot on our plates today trying not to get too stressy and too political right just trying to get through the day ignore all the people with the signs just go in and vote and oh I was downright angry this morning steam coming out of my eyes angry this morning because because while I was away my college daughter was in charge and apparently my son decided that that would be a good time to have all the boys over for a sleepover and they took over to my spare bedroom which I've been calling Santa's workshop and broke some of my nutcrackers uh oh and mom came home and she saw it and she was ready to crack somebody oh I was not happy my husband's like I can glue it I I he just saw the look in my face don't kill him please don't kill I it it'll be fine God it was not happy at all these boys are gross there was Trash shoes dirty diapers no thank God just wrappers just food wrappers and empty drink containers and and 45 loads of laundry that I I had to look at because now I've got to launder all those sheets because Lord knows how many boys were in that room right and what they were doing yeah exactly I don't know it smelled musty in there I'm all set you know like group of boys they stink they just smell and they eat everything good morning everyone are you having a good morning we certainly are he said I went to Spirit Halloween and bought my costume for next year because everything was half off so smart yeah that's a good that's a good move I know a lot of people like to get out there and get those last minute candy situations where it's all half off now and whether you're using them for decorating your gingerbread houses or however you're going to use it if you can find the candy I mean the candy's the Halloween candy was gone before Halloween and it's not even Thanksgiving and they got the Christmas candy out yep and by Christmas they'll probably it's Valentine's Day they're on to the next they're on to the next they're always rushing us I know it well the problem is we keep buying it when they put it out to us if we didn't buy it they wouldn't put it out I know I know you know but we just we let ourselves get pushed along there's already eggnog in my fridge really like it's been there for a while I don't think anybody touched it yet is it still good I'm sure it's good I feel like eggnog is one of those things lasts forever usually heavy cream and stuff like that check the date though full F yeah trust me I will yeah I don't know if I'm in an eggnog season this night uh Lauren's asking did we see Natasha on the baking show last night no I have not I it we did very good she did a great job I've got it saved I'm looking forward to watching that later on tonight when I don't want to watch all the other hoopla that's going to be on the television I need to plan better that I I appreciate that Dan very much I'm going to have to lay out my calendar so our question of the day today is what's saying you immediately hopped in on that one today yep because when you get to a certain age and and people find out how old you are they'll look at you and they'll say really but you look great yeah right for as opposed to what emomed I mean really so the the question of the day is what compliment is borderline rude and I always got that you clean up well oh it's a good one oh yeah oh somebody was like I wore makeup or whatever oh when we had our big night I finally got my award you'll see thank you very much to our friends over at fleeting moments for uh for making the award uh person of the year is over there somewhere I was like okay um but yeah it was like wow you looked really good in those photos you clean up well and I was like son of a rude backhanded compliments so what compliment is borderline rude and we had a lot of fun ones and a lot of fun people chiming in on these ones you you're old you're how old you look great yes Marie you have a pretty face Melissa I'm a heavy lady it always irritates me when I get a compliment or a comment about how shapely I am yeah you're big bone Jess Beckler says uh when are you do like tomorrow I still have months to go or the classic or maybe you're not even are you having twins yeah you look fabulous what happened you look great what did you do differently there you go you look distinguished with gray hair Matt P yeah that's a good one your hair looks so nice today what did you do you look great for your age you're too skinny I love your new blend so much more like the real you you're pretty for a big girl oh o these are some nice ones right here today so feel free to throw that in there you're better than your sister I don't know what that's about Mike I think there's a story there wow you've lost so much weight says Lori ouch yep anything after pleasantly surprised some really good ones today OD shiman and wager in on our question of the day which we always love Yeah hearing what your opinion is yeah no those are all those are all good because PE and the thing is people mean well I know it's not it's not intentional yeah I mean people finding out that I'm you know I'm 71 and hey you look great they they don't they don't mean anything by it except it's like yeah what I know what am I supposed to look like and it's also in our nature to be complimentary when we see something love your nails the this and maybe it's something you know they look extra good today they had a little extra pep in their step and you just took them down by thinking you were complimenting them when you definitely were not right right have you've been working out right that's another one what does that mean I was a lazy lump always have you been working out might be true but thank you for noticing right how many steps did you do oh my God so many steps my feet are actually in pain yesterday I woke up and I was like what happened I've been awfully sedentary lately so uh I I definitely was paying $38 beers at the Tennessee Patriots football game I drank so much water and we did walk absolutely everywhere because it's just kind of flat but I our friend Jason found the one road uphill we went to this place called Pinewood which is an old school bowling alley real oh Cliff must have loved it I won I took a photo of it I went over a 100 points and I actually won he had several excuses for why this did not occur first off he's very particular about the ball the shoes the lane at all conditions must be right for him to bowl properly well he's a professional I wouldn't use those words but he plays on the regular he is in a league he's a professional yeah right so he was all like all kinds of sideways pissy about it but what I loved was the people at the other end of the lane walks over and they were like oh New England fans because we all had our Pats gear on and I'm like yeah he's like where and like the cape I'm on the cape where are you on the cape kou it oh I'm in mashy right I met my neighbor Kim he was great and then they say I recognize that voice well it was awesome because his daughter is the events coordinator at this place so I was like well she's doing an amazing job this place is very cool retro bowling alley with like a fabulous brunch we had shrimping grits while we were bowling uh and it was awesome so we had a really good time very cool spot going back to the compliments is is it when someone says to you I grew up listening to you I feel old I learned that by listening to Lady D because I was like oh my God I know that I definitely listened to her growing up and I was very when she had mentioned somebody's somebody's grandchild and I was like oh I'm not going to tell her that I I grew up listening to her but I did grow up listening to her right she still sounds the same I guess there was another round of radio layoffs oh really uh so a few more people bit the dust on that one it's just really one of the biggest changing layouts people are getting their content on demands now yeah and it is very much an Antiquated way to check in with people however we're digital we're in your pocket we're on your app right we're on your TV we're everywhere you can't ignore us right so find us on Lemon ado.com and and take us with you wherever you go and nothing is not nothing but in many many cases that the station you know it's not locally owned anymore it's part of something that's a division of something that's a division of something else and it's just more coste effective to get this one set of DJs to to do all your programming and they sound like they're from nowhere anyway yeah because of their because of they their radio voices and you can say things generic enough that you sound like you're in the community that you're being heard in and you're and and you're really not well there was a Polish radio station that laid off of all of their DJs and put in AI chatbot type type hosts oh really they've since folded I can't imagine because it was so bad it was a disaster I can't imagine I forgot how they trained the AI but it ended up being an absolute cataclysmic disaster so like it's it's it's really cool in terms of of of serious when you find out that that somebody is actually broadcasting here locally Earl Bailey yeah who was on one of the classic rock stations on um on Sirius I think M probably no at the exact station yeah he lives in Wellfleet yeah I know we toured Sirius actually it's right behind the Ryman theater in in Nashville isn't the Ryman theater cool yeah very very cool um so we I was like oh there there is serus my friend Kathy who used to be on cool 102 years ago still works for Sirius um so we we just had a nice little chat and a quick little tour so that was kind of nice uh speaking of our Nashville friends our friend Lindsay the Keat is getting married she's at a destination wedding so she's in Cancun Eva is currently at the airport listening to us waiting for Rose hello Eva thank you everybody's always waiting for Rose we absolutely love her but tell the mother of the bride I hope she looks fabulous and congratulations not that she doesn't look fabulous all along of course she always looks fabulous she is uh above and beyond she over thinks absolutely everything though whether it's a menu item or a purchase oh really you're going to be there a while oh so that's why I laughed at the airport waiting for Rose because that's really just what time's your flight at least you made it there so I was glad about that I know that there was a little snafu with the timing of getting her to the airport did Michael Drive did my friend Michael Anthony Drive no probably not I told her to get car service because it was just one of those things where it wasn't bus time yeah you know what I mean it was just like that off time that period of time if you've got a flight between midnight and 6:00 AM you need to call and for a driver you just do yeah and and you know you may think and I certainly did for the longest time oh God a car service to you know what it's it's well worth every penny nickel and dime y to have somebody else drive to have somebody else drop you off exactly you're immediately on your vacation where you have to be right and then just as importantly when you come back the last thing in the world you want to do is drive home I know I know and to have somebody right there Y how you doing in the car and you know it's it's it's it's it's really worth it I know sometimes it can be a lot of money but no but we we my husband immediately turned into grumpy Cliff the second he got in the vehicle to go home because he knew he took the wrong turn we went the wrong way now we're driving in Boston all the roads are always different they've got everything under construction it's a nightmare you don't have to worry about that when you're some drive you particularly trying to get in and out of Logan Airport if you're not familiar with getting in and out of Logan Airport you can you know drive yourself crazy oh good good Amalia's borrowing my car a lot because of her work hours and Marana schedule and finally got to the point where it was like you know what we just need to to give her that car I don't like mari's car yeah it's a little too big um she loves it but I I I don't so I wanted something and and I had been following this car on online over at Kia for a little bit and I finally went and I and I got it so thanks to EA and and and everybody I like the smaller car it's really cool like 30 bucks to fill up in gas I only do like maybe every other week and I drive everywhere I like that little thing yeah and we've already told Mariana that's her car in four years oh perfect she honey you have to keep the car clean this is your car in four years yeah so so she's already bought in that well this is hers this is hers so I got to be careful with the french fries I love it yeah any way to make them a little bit more responsible for that right get her done right I know Cody's going to be driving the lemons mobile and I'm going to be looking for a new one well I got a big girl job now right need to have a regular car oh get a forte they're really cool you know I've never the nice thing about Kia is they're nice cars at more than reasonable prices right yep exactly you know and that's a good dealership we have on the cape and um service and everything so yeah shout out to our friend got to give about when you don't have to take a shower what do you mean there are times when you shouldn't take a shower okay you have to wait for the program well that's going to be one that I'm just very curious and I'm scratching my head going what do you mean um do I want to know about this should I know about this yep yesterday we talked about because the the clocks had changed how do you get yourself going in the morning what are what are some things you need to do and the biggest thing not to do is pick up your phone oh okay if you if you want to immediately take yourself from zero to 75 pick up your phone don't do that put the put the phone aside you can do any number of of other things yeah get up walk around have a little something to eat if you feel like you need the stimulation from your phone pick up a magazine pick up the book you were reading before you went to sleep but the biggest thing is just don't jump right in the phone because you're gonna go bang and your day starts and then it doesn't stop I'm on The Struggle Bus trying to stay awake past 6 PM uhhuh daylight savings time I'm like it's like 47 o' trying to trying to quotes stay up last night yeah to watchh Natasha on the Food Network I was like Mari it's got to be 8:00 what it's 6:30 it is such a struggle this time of year so parents out there I'm sure you are just losing it with your kids and also on the other end where they're wide awake at 400 am and you're like please God go back to bed right I thought I thought when the clocks changed my my waking up time which but I'm still waking up at the same stupidly ridiculous early morning time yeah I guess that just what guess that's what happened well I threw myself for a Lube because not only did I have all of that going on but I was also in a different time zone oh jeez was like I don't even know whether I'm coming or going very very confusing so right I went back an hour but it's really two hours not my hour and but it worked out nicely because I popped right out of bed this morning earlier than I normally did with a little pep in my step and I was ready to hit the day so I was I was waiting for the text message because I talked to Stephanie Tech texed with Stephanie last night 8:00 and what about 8:00 I'm not home yet I'm oh no I know I was home and in bed asleep by 10: oh all right so I just check in my text messages I got up did pick up my phone even though I shouldn't have okay no text from Stephanie yeah take your own advice Hank and put it well I wanted to know whether I needed to go back to bed or not we've got a full list of activities if you're looking for something to do we have no shortage of that including a karaoke contest it's a quick short car contest 500 bucks you could win over House of hatchets we had 15 contestants on Friday I think two have passed on to the next round what passed on no like gone gone through to the next round get hatch American Idol no one got hatcheted no one got knifed no one got what's the other thing over there they've got bow and arrows the combination of the karaoke seems like a lot of weapons near karaoke seems like a lot with somebody just cheing around go you know what I can't stand you ping there is none of that make sure that that is not the case over at the house of hatchets so that is uh uh Friday we've got three more weeks left so definitely get in there get qualified for your $500 karaoke contest winners Saturday we're going to be over at Everly it's their Harvest Fest and uh there's gonna be a bunch of vendors shopping ask someone how old they are and tell them they look great I'm definitely not gonna do that I'm just gonna be over there bopping some oldies tunes and making sure General announcements happen that's what I'm going to be doing so you're looking for a little bit of shopping and to meet some of the residents and uh see some of the vendors that they've got over there I think Lisa Z CBD is going to be over and I could definitely use some of that I'll tell you that right now Emily says my dad is in Paris and he forgot about the time change and I got a FaceTime call at 5:30 in the morning Dad oh yeah happy to see you they not they don't do that over there no they don't they don't subscribe to our a Ridiculousness no I had to figure out yesterday how to change the clock was little easier on the car yeah just finding where
