saraphina and I were in a entrepreneurial book club where Stephanie never read the right book and Stephanie was terrible at this book I really Su I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual a proud of it hold no hello oh it was muted because we are having a day here at Bash TV it's been one of those mornings and I don't know a damn thing about any of it so I just sat here I'm just gonna hang out right right take the time you know hello and good morning on a Thursday Hank and I live from ashb TV thank you very much to Chris Ball for putting up with us I'm like Chris I forgot this at home he's like we got one of those right and then uh just sat there patiently waiting for us to get going so that he could leave us alone and lock Us in lock Us in again thought that anything could go wrong what could go wrong take the keys and lock her up it's all I was thinking in my head and I'm like bye so yeah I got to actually see saraphina last night I was at the back to business bash which um normally I'm working and I don't have an opportunity to go but sarish said said I'm gifting you a ticket you're going to go go enjoy the day and I'm super glad that I did and I couldn't believe the amount of photos I saw of people that were there that I didn't even run into that's how many people there were there really yeah wow that's a lot of people it was the whole entire airport and I talked to Katie from the airport she's actually gonna come on and Bop into a show with us sometime soon um and just talk about all the things that are going on at the airport but then they had two tents outside feel with businesses wow small businesses food people doing all kinds of giveaways giveaways Galore last night so thank you ccyp for putting on the back to business bash it was a really really good time nice night last night for yeah it really was it was hot it was hot in those tents we were dying right well it's this time of season where you don't know what to plan for luckily it's going to rain for the next couple of days right which is not lucky for some people that have outdoor events we're okay on Sunday okay but it's Saturday that's going to be the problem good morning Miss Emily um Canal Day first of all oh gee that's right and that's 7,000 people right in the rain that they're going to push it to Sunday which it will affect us yes it will because we'll lose vendors we'll lose people and we'll lose Pomp and Circumstance to the canal day which I get um so yeah just call ahead make sure that all of your plans for the weekend are still on I know my Friday was cancelled and I'm kind of glad because I don't know what shape I was going to be in tomorrow okay because I'm having a procedure tomorrow morning oh you are but then I was like oh tomorrow afternoon I should be fine okay and my my girlfriend was like no no cancel the day oh it's just a colonoscopy it's not a big deal so are you are you starting no not not yet today you haven't start that's all that all that fun stuff today you know what it's not that bad I'm going to be a treat to be around today but you know what it is and I've told myself every time I've had one of those done unlike being really sick sick you know this you know this is over yeah you know you go you know I just have to go through this the next 12 hours and then it's done right and it's the best when they put you under to do the test yeah it is such a relaxing sleep this is what Eva tells me she's like it's the best sleep of your life you've never had it before no oh they'll have you they'll come in they'll ask you what your name is for the 14,000 time and what your birthday is I haven't changed I don't know why they think anyone would sneak in and want one of these things right I don't think I'm posing as anybody else say CLE me put you give you um um NIV and they say you know just count back and you go 10 nine8 and then hopefully the next thing you know you're in the recovery and you open your eyes and you go is that it yeah right Emily said working your room room today thanks good morning Miss uh Amy we get need to get together one time one time I did wake up before it was done shut up yes and don't tell I was you know Cat in the Hat I mean I mean I mean um um um green Anon ham yes and dur on the train I do not like it on a train I'm dreaming that and I'm hearing this is going along with the train and I wake up it's not the train oh my God are you it's the air thing that they're blowing in you right right and and I'm like H hello I think I'm awake and they said we're almost done can you hang on and I said I think so I'm like I I don't know somebody else said I woke up during mine Erin don't tell me these things I do not want to wake up I need to have a conversation with them and tell them to give me the most amount of whatever it is knock her out right knock a girl out she doesn't need to wake up right and then you really need to take the whole day though on the on the other side because it is it is an invasive procedure okay well that was it I was planning my girlfriend and saraphina was like do not go to that event do not you do not need it yeah go home go to sleep because you go right back to sleep again perfect and it's lovely this is what I need this is a force day off for me this getting procedures done how's your day off it was great great I had feel nice and light I was like will I lose weight yes or no oh my gosh Amy yes I need to come and see you and I I I need a re-upping of all of my Ruby stuff it's time all uh I've lost a couple of pounds and I need to like change change the underwear so thank you as we're here down below it's like bras it's my no bra bra I need new ones sorry Hank what are you putting off that is the question of the day is it that surgery I had this conversation with another business friend of mine yes and she said you know I finally booked myself whatever it was some some tooth thing she never got her crown because she felt guilty about taking a day off so she never took the time to like finish a procedure and I've had this conversation a lot with other business entrepreneurs and people that are just we have to work because if we don't work then our business doesn't function so take that that time and take care of yourself please no one else is gonna thank you Amy I appreciate that right yeah take the time Jackie thoughts and prayers thoughts and prayers y thoughts and prayers thank you and you have to have somebody drive you and Chris says more information than we needed is is is Cliff gonna drive you yeah oh yeah yeah because you yeah yeah they don't let you just leave when I was getting my wisdom teeth out recently they somebody had got a limo to drop pick them up and drop them off and my doctor was mad really he's like no I want someone to make sure they physically get in their house and carry them in just in case they need to okay I was like to be fair I was like how bad is it and then I was you know eating ice cream with my hands and I told Cliff to take a video and he was like I'm not I'm not doing that you are not going to like that I like but I might have it could have been funny could no it wasn't I'm surprised he didn't do it it wasn't I know I know I gave him the opportunity to mock me forever right wow he chose not to it must have been really bad you're a better man than I it must have been terrible though yes we're getting the procedures done we're taking care of ourselves things are good we want to live live to be like um the anniversary of Barbie really 65 wow wow I'm older than Barbie yeah sorry Hank oh geez wow Stanley is releasing eight different 64 ooun tuers in in honor of the anniversary of the 65th anniversary of Barbie is this something we need no but thank you Stanley for thinking of us while you're marketing these things why would you do that I don't know because women like their big cups I suppose you see them all around with their giant St I'm still a Yeti gal I not got on this Stanley wagon because I think those straws are dirty really they're like gross and they're like grimy and they're like little things in beside here I can take off the magnet I can wash the whole thing and I don't have to think about it the other cups too many crevices not clean enough for me okay fun fact about Stephanie no Stanley will she have yes okay you're learning all kinds of things about Stephanie a lot too much how much of it did you need to know I know take the floor what do you got going on what do you got to chat about today well interest rates went down yesterday so what does that mean in terms of real estate it doesn't mean that mortgage rates are automatically going down half a percentage point the interest rate that went down yesterday is the interest rate on the money that banks are are allowed to charge each other when they borrow money from each other okay does that trickle down yes it does have some banks and lenders already started to anticipate um the the decrease yeah they have and there are some lenders right here on Cape Cod where you can get um a mortgage interest rate in the fives okay already so just just just watch but don't be there's been some stories already of clients calling their real interest saying oh boy so does that mean I get a half a percent no no it doesn't yeah and that's rtb said only half a percent does you know in that in that minuscule world of of how things like that go up and down it's bigger than everybody thought everybody thought it was going to be a quarter and and it's a half so should encourage people I hope rtb on the cape hello Rocco hello rtb thanks for checking in with us well uh you've come to this very rainy day that we've got it's weird because we haven't seen rain and we've had like the longest dry stretch and it's been weird hearing the weather forecasters say and you know we really don't need it right we've got enough right now really we really don't need it because it rained all last year yes like we were we were full and it rained all Spring right right and and down here the ponds are all still full because nobody could use them yeah so we've got a full week though it looks like on and off rain and kind of spotty weird yucky weather yeah oh well find inside house projects to do I'm sure you've got a million in five of them Lauren good morning thanks for with it is what it what it is you know I make an ugly cry face apparently and also my concentration face is not all that cute either so he sends me the video of me coming around the corner I was like oh God get her off the screen he's like my thoughts exactly what's up Tibby how's funus doing where are you guys gonna be playing soon I need I need a little funus in my life we have such great amazing musicians here the cave and I'm so excited to highlight a lot of them when we have our showcase at the mashby farmers market I was in talks with Pete yesterday about a couple of more things we have up our sleeves oh really in between the farmers market and the Christmas Market yeah okay you got a couple we've got five weeks in between and uh we've got something I think that we've got in the middle you could take a break what what's that sorry momentum object in motion stays in motion Hank if I took a break I might just fall off a cliff okay literally if you took a break you my relax what is that that's not even fun for me if I get in that relax mode then it's really hard really to get started again to get the engine started again okay it's like I I found that during pandemic where I literally was gone so s crazy I turned into Jack Nicholson from The Shining it's not a good place for me I would imagine not right we or all the people who live in your house yeah no they did not love Coast are things still on fire out there I think they are Don I feel so awful and they they're on fire in Nevada and yeah it just seems to just seems to happen and of course it doesn't help that some people set the fires but oh my God somebody posted a meme they were having fires in Portugal yes and there was TV footage of them showing the fire and then they pan to like the investigator and something else and one of the investigators like typical Portuguese guy takes his butt out of his mouth flicks it into the fire I was like oh my God like he's like well it's already on fire she yeah what what's what's my cigarette kind of yeah right oh good heav yeah she said it's a little further away from from her right now and the raining doesn't help sorry yeah that's tough it's one of the reasons why I wouldn't move to California yeah out of out of many I wouldn't move to California it seems like it just wants to fall into the ocean I don't know what's happening over there but a whole different world over there yeah good yeah capitalize on the rain should calm everything yeah oh you're just oh excellent you just moved to hyanis you're closer to the city and all the facilities oh good well you had a story about the best grocery stores in the world was the world or the US in the US the USA Today published a survey today of the best grocery stores and we happen to have two of them here on Cape Cod one Trader Joe's and the other one is Aldi Aldi coming to fouth I don't know when that build is going to be done but they seem like they're doing it pretty swiftly right yeah unlike unlike um the uh Jimmy Buffett place in high that's a sit a wow now I'm wondering because of the lawsuit that was going on internally was that something that slowed the production or the I don't know the construction with that for the contractor to say gee I haven't worked on the cape in a while and back then minimum wage was what really so he was underpaying his workers he was underpaying his workers he wasn't paying them overtime he was giving them a flat fee for the day and we're wondering why this thing was not completed on time he gave him a flat feet for the day and expected them to work like 16 17 hours yeah he yeah no not not a good he's still operating in business in the United States I guess so it's awful I mean it couldn't have been that hard to do I mean to rehabit to I mean have you been in there in a long time because it looked it needed a lot right but I mean it just needed a needed a perking up I mean the basics were there the water park is there the pool is there everything is yeah the amenities amenities there I mean so you just how long does it take to run through and Rehab all the hotel apparently a long time apparently a problematic long time you get a bunch of painters you get you order all kinds of new food furniture and just boom boom boom boom I not I I love it he's he's clearly not a logistics Guy what's problem here fix it just buy it no F buy it on Amazon way away I mean lost the summer season yeah they really did and people are going to be disappointed anyway from other parts of the country when they come yeah I agree with you that I don't dled in um Scenic and historic hyas that's it wait till they see where they are in scen Scenic group 132 they put in palm trees I'm just so curious how they're goingon to keep those food no I ate it there and I left do two cheeseburgers because yesterday speaking of Jimmy puffet it was cheeseburger day yeah and it was weird because I think I readit in the morning and I thought I want to have that but I made them myself they were delicious good for you I wrapped them up and left them for the boy so that he could just throw them down as Pelican gullet when he came home from football there you go they're on Nantucket tomorrow for football oh really have fun I think we made that trip one time for a football if he was starting Varsity I would do it yeah but he's just like the extra kid on Varsity right now so yeah we made that trip a couple times in Mariana and then before that when Megan we're playing you know Rec Soccer and stuff soccer and it's it's it's okay do I feel guilty about putting him on the slow boat and then taking the fast boat no Enjoy your team dad and I will be at the restaurant walk on over when you get back when when we went this spring with with uh with Mariana we took the car and we went over and Mariana had never been J a crazy day we hadn't been in years so we just drove around and everything and we came back later in the day but we weren't going to just go over and go back that was such a waste of time yeah yeah when you've got wheels it makes it a little easier although N I feel like is is manageable and also the vineyard they both have like better busing situations they absolutely they do oh yeah oh yeah and it's like we didn't do the bill bich tour but but next time I think I'll try to figure out where where all his homes are and he loved um somebody posted a article about his10 million do home on Nantucket that looked very modest for10 million do yeah but apparently he loves fishing he loves fishing he plays he plays golf he likes 23 year olds I mean that's why not a bad life that's why he's the greatest of all time not the golden but he could be the golden Bachelor is it a girl this time it's a girl this time it's the one it's one of the ones that failed with Gary right no it's the one who fa it's the one who left oh early I I want to see some of these suitors they're probably good-looking because you know what guys tend to age much better than women so we'll have to see yeah no she left I do know this but I haven't watched it she left because her daughter had just had a baby and having a difficult time you know what which I think is um amicable reasons to leave a reason to leave a nice reason to leave at any rate yeah but she's only 61 oh that's all huh yeah that's not even golden she's a sweet young thing once again I feel like that's just silver she's not golden yet no we're not there no so it's gonna be it'll it'll pick up some interest I think although I wonder if people are just gonna say you know what this is so much BS because the golden Bachelor was BS from I mean they were Mar Gary was a character they specifically I'm watching this like re I forget what show it is but it's basically the back end of it how awful it actually is and how much the producers actually dredge up a lot of drama and make sure that they're drinking and causing a scene and making sure they've decided which one America likes and they give them a little bit more camera time than the other ones it's the actual the producing of the show it's kind of an interesting little show I like that tape so what do they do do they just film it all and then as they go as they go forward edit each each show or or are they doing or are they doing both at the same time I think they're doing both at the same time so they've got the crew doing all of that stuff okay it just seems like a a little drama a little bit too much for me she's like an awful lot of work well America loves it apparently so there's a reason why they're doing it I don't know and Ryan Crest is apparently doing very well on Wheel of Fortune I I haven't seen it I'm not a seest fan I'm really I kind of get tired of him right because he's everywhere he does all the things and but he's got that kind of I've seen a little a little bit of it and he's got that personality it's GNA work and people are all excited the shows that I have seen the people are excited to see him yeah so but Vanna is still there and it's still the same thing they've Chang the studio a little but I'm just looking forward to something new it's September where are my new shows I need all of the things Emily and Paris came back with the the second half of the first half of the Season that they dumped out or whatever I I rifled right on through it I got nothing left oh I left nothing for myself Hank I had a day it's usually my laundry day where I'll just sit there and binge stuff in the background while doing other things and uh Emily and Paris was they've already ordered another season it was good oh good it's light it's fluffy it's dumb I enjoy it yeah I'm a big NCIS fan Y and I can't wait to see the prequel okay so that's the new one that's coming out that's the new one that's coming out and um Gibbs is um narrating it okay he's not in it and then there's going to be the Tony and Zea which I I love their characters that that's going to be a separate the new ones a separate series okay so that's kind of for the older demographic I guess but um that's what I'm looking forward to that I don't know there there's just not a lot on that's that's don't think can surprise us anymore I don't think that there's really much new material that we're like wow this is new no one's ever covered this before right it's we did it all different version of the same thing go oh that's kind of sort of just like although when counting down the the um movies of the week oh today there's a movie that comes in at oh I don't know number 10 or number nine I don't remember the name of it oh it's DNA Dan something or other and it's it's spirits and demons and in a high school and seems like something I would like and and I read the description and it was like this is insane I think I would like it then let me see let me let me see I'm just very into the occult stuff I like witches and and mystery characters and fake people it's like let's see my husband's like oh God I can't do it which is weird because he reads mystery books like novels fantasy High fantasy stuff okay here we go but won't watch it Momo is a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums and her classmate okaron is an ult freak the two of them start talking after Momo rescues okum from getting bullied however an argument ensues between them Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens and okam believes in Aliens but denies ghosts sounds like something I'm gonna end up watching okay let me let me this is the description online yeah on my phone of what this movie is about absolutely insane Mary says she saw the palm trees yesterday through and thought the same exact thing that we did what's up Miss Angie love you g uh what else is meeting right well I'm not rushing luckily it's only across the street so we're not that far here BHB TV but definitely like And subscribe to the mashby TV channel and uh see what we've been working on in this town which is a lot there's a a lot going on and um I really enjoyed sitting and watching in the background one of the latest planning meetings oh really no you didn't I know I did oh really because it was drama oh really oh absolutely why if it's been a while definitely go and find one of your local access channels just to see what's going on and see people be I've never seen she was like looking for like almost a gavel to shut up one of the people and he wouldn't stop talking and she's like stop stop stop like banging on the T and I'm like this is this is great I stopped actively working and started actively watching this cuz I was like heed some people do get upset about I get I love what they get fired up about and it's just like some of them was standing in their lawn or somebody was doing whatever whatever stuff that they can bring to town meeting and they do and you're just what about all the traffic oh this was another one where they made promises and they didn't deliver on these promises and there's water over here and I'm mad and you just said and you lied and oh it was great it was drama it was real drama none of this reality contrived drama right I wonder if you could turn that into a reality TV absolutely you know your local government or something I don't know if it's always that exciting but I just found a particularly exciting epod then you get somebody who you know has their rties in a bunch about the whack jobs in your town these are the people neighborhood definitely check out I'm telling you it's good stuff right but you see the thing is it's important to them and you have to understand when you're on this side of the table that they may be totally appear to be totally unreasonable but do they not they must know that they're on camera they know they're on cam that's what you have to ask yourself though you know you're being filmed for other people because this is an open meeting and how do you think you're gonna persuade the people on this side of the table to do what you want them to do if you're yelling at them it usually does doesn't work yeah if you wouldn't think that it would work i' I definitely enjoy the fouth ones also there's always a cast of characters going on in there yeah and the one person that shows up every single town meeting and asks the same question and they're so over it but you don't know right they're like get out of here just leave it's good be involved in what's going on in your neighborhood please and if nothing else you might find something fun that's right that's right and you know that one question may be the biggest thing in their lives I mean no well we've got Pat coming on the show next Wednesday he is uh the manager over at the Trading Post been in service owned a restaurant still in service and question number five that's on the ballot that has a lot of people talking and tongues wagging about tips so um he's gonna talk about that conversation and his side of it and I would love and invite anybody that has something to say on the opposite side of it to please come talk talked to us about you know some of the initiatives there was the League of Women Voters that happen to be at um the back to business bash last night so she's like do you know the five questions I'm like I don't and so she just gave me this bag and she's like here's sample of what they're going to look like just so you know all of the facts right and I love that because I think we don't spend enough time I think we get stressed out when we're going to vote and we don't read through the Articles or might we don't really fully understand what it means both sides yeah this the one you're talking about is the one where they want to set a standard wage right correct and and it appears that um people who are servers really don't want it because they make more money tips they're not getting they don't they don't consider themselves getting screwed I do understand it from both sides um but I will set an example um they're making this movement in New York city so when I visit my brother I see it in action where it was very Cooperative back behind the bar where there were bartenders and he's like oh here I've got this but so and so's going to get this for you yes was it $25 for a martini yes but everything was all included you knew what you were paying for and I feel like that's kind of like the the real estate situation thing that's going on I think this is the movement we're going towards is less backend fees less sneaky things less your choice more this is the price this is the price period this is how it's done to say when when we were in Boston there was there was never any suggestion in any place that we were sorry we don't have enough help yeah there was more than enough help at at any place where we were at and help that looked like it had been some cases working at these places for a very long time which means they had been making money yeah I mean you go to restaurants on the cape and certain restaurants that that you go to and you look at the service staff and you look at their age that's a bit of a broad generalization and and you know oh they've been doing this for a long time yeah they're making money at this place right you know sometimes almost a lot of money where it's like they're now this is their job forever even if they want to be warmed by a blanket I want to be cold and warmed by a blanket I don't want to be warm why do people not understand that I want the comfor item not to be hot right I want to choose my temperature and I feel like I could do that this time of year welcome in to the fall you can come and live in at our condo because we have a a thermostat that has a mind of its own oh yeah we've programmed it we've we've taken everything out of it we have tried to program it ourselves and all of a sudden we wake up in the middle of the night and it's 82 degrees and then we'll back it down and maybe some other I think it was I think it was last week he had the he has a thermostat Goblin we came we we came in into it and and into the house and my went oh my God it's so cold here I thought I shut it off and it was on like 68 degrees just you know it's one of those Nest things and oh okay yeah it does actually have a mind of its own and like even with our app there's one area sometimes that just decides that that's what it's going to be yesterday new technology moved into the house everybody uh oh what now he was all into whatever it was that he was doing and I was like what why there are so many other things you could be doing right now what are you doing boxes and wires and in the house out the house in the house out the house putting in the new security system for what just cuz because it's new technology if it's new we have to have it okay he's one of those people that if there's an update or if there is a new phone coming out and within minutes new phone is announced it'll be here next week oh my phone's acting weird oh I'd love I my phone's acting weird it's not my phone since today I got it it's doing something but I need I need to get that new phone my God why so now we have this crazy system in our house where there's like a crazy flood light right underneath my garage with like this C like camera it's like hi you're on camera so just know when you're coming up to the studio you're on camera okay my front door is now the the finger lock and unlock the biothermal whatever to get into my front door and there's certain times when it's open and certain times when it's closed it will be open when I show up at yes he set the time but on o in the morning if I end if I end up with like thermostat goblins uh I don't know hopefully it'll be open so I'll be watching my phone to make sure that it in fact unlocks at 6:00 am in the morning when it's supposed to well I'm not a big fan of new technology I told you was telling you before we went on because it's janky I have a new laptop it doesn't work like it does I have a brand new laptop and so far there's two important things that I have tried to do with it yeah and it won't do it okay and one them Cliff couldn't even figure out yeah so maybe you just got a defective one so I don't I don't know and I was messing around with yesterday and all of a sudden was telling me I needed to download app and what I need to download an app to plug in did everybody download the new version of iOS and whatever I don't know where anything is even today on a FaceTime I couldn't figure out how to flip my camera they changed that too yeah no I did I did download the new what I internal operating system there you go that that's what it is yeah yeah and I don't know seems I told you lemon Ado sounds unbelievable see if that helped us out there some some things are good some things are bad what's up Diana I cannot wait to come back to Bailey's you have no idea how many people are like when coming back to Bailey's every time we're out somewhere they absolutely love your restaurant the food is fantastic the portions are immense yes and uh so when are you going back to B uh we start October 1st good back to Bailey's for a little bit of music Bingo October 1st I think Toby um and also Kristen are going to be working and then I'll pop in every once in a while it's a collaborative
