we would do live reads like what Stephanie just did and there'd be copy in front of us unlike Stephanie who just has the stuff right in her head apparently um and and they'd be a music bed and we'd have to read his copy over the music bed and since milady's was an under women's undergarment store um we'd be reading commercials about cups and sizes and that's awesome and all kinds of things rather embarrassing for for 20-something bad guy you know because it wasn't undergarments for 20-something women yeah it was at the hot lingerie no it wasn't it wasn't it was it was lingerie girdles yeah your mother and your grandmother were wearing that's awesome and you're like from size whatever to 44 Tripoli and you're like oh my God I'm reading this this is my life right now you know if if it was for someone who was 23 and it was 44 Triple E you'd be like yeah right no she could get whatever it's it's really funny especially since we we came from the same area where I had heard a commercial actually from a fellow colleague of mine in this area who is from nearby in Rhode Island but she was doing a commercial for an undergarment place that is here on Cape Cod and this was this week and I was like she needs to go back to radio school because she was putting our at the end of Brar and her her commercial and I burst out laughing I was driving and I just burst out laughing because we as Massachusetts Rhode Island border people take away the r No Matter even if it's there or not but she added it and that made me laugh no we have to so far when it doesn't belong we have to sound like we're from nowhere that's it not Regional dialect right so we could go work anywhere if we so for sure so yes we are coming into Patty's Day weekend they're already the news has been talking about some of the steps and measures that they're going to be putting into the parade this year to keep everybody safe and it's not going to be a debaucherous blah blah blah it has been the same parade since the beginning of time people are gonna act like fools that's right although Southeast climate is a little bit different yeah people are a little bit different and it's back to families again right and had a full cycle yeah because when I grew up there's a photo of me my grandmother my great grandmother and my mother on the steps of my great-grandmother's Southie walkout or whatever it was and I feel like I've seen the same exact photo for anyone that has ever lived in Boston right that same I'm on the parade route photo waiting for the parade to happen but at least there's no controversy about who could be in a parade who can't be in a parade it seems like they finally have gotten to the point where if you want to begin the parade you can be in the parade well last year I remember there was an issue because somebody said I'm Irish or Bust or something like that or 100 Irish or nothing and people took offense to that I mean there's always going to be that idiot Irish guy named Mickey and salty doing dumb stuff right they are a dumpster fire let them have their dumpster fire yeah it's fine it's fine it is it is what it is don't get upset about it you know it's going to happen don't be offended you know what's gonna I did hear that they're forcing them to close the bars and liquor stores early on Friday just because they don't want to deal with them which I also get right but you know what it's not going to make any difference no we didn't have that same Fanfare here on the cape with our parade over the weekend the weather was poor right like it is right now it's just poor you know there were liquor stores in other places besides selfie oh I didn't know that Jackie's Packy yeah so go to Tony's back he is supposed to Jackie that's it that's it well I'm very much looking forward to checking in with um we have a producer joining the show today in a little bit and uh they've got a pie day song for us so we'll have to see about that yes um did you watch the Oscars actually I did what do you think for a little bit I thought Jimmy Kimmel did a great job it must be awkward it well you know what he's got to be so careful now yeah about about what what he says whoever the host is I mean I wish Wiki Gervais would host again but I think he's so already mocked it enough good morning Chrissy good morning Auntie Sheila thank you so when your dad tries to like show up and try to make awkward conversation while he's driving a carpool full of girls yeah it was just that kind of guy I don't know it was really it was off Malala even was like upset about it okay Malala yeah I'm sorry good morning Helen good morning cat Malala all dressed up all in the makeup going on the red carpet at the Oscars not red champagne oh champagne carpet at the Oscars I just I looked at it and I and I thought this just doesn't you thought it was false it just doesn't feel right I couldn't see that yeah for the for I don't know why they were making such a freaking big deal about the champagne carpet right right but Malala I I it it doesn't it doesn't match that Jimmy Kimmel tried to like make an awkward joke it was like so weird oh yeah and it was like asking her something that she had no idea about and also asking her the dumbest thing because it wasn't even a real thing yeah but I had seen a nominated movie oh and I didn't think I had well then it was a nominated animated movie um the red the Red Beast or the or the big beast I watched it with Mariana and it was actually really good yeah so I had seen a movie didn't win but I had seen a movie they had tons on standby lines and jokes for Jimmy Kimmel they changed their Tom Cruise comments when they found out that he wasn't attending originally there was a tribute dialogue to him seriously seriously well thank you for checking in on YouTube thank you our YouTube comments are here so just in case you want to be able to read those as well so yeah we're doing so many things today and I'm just glad that we got the volume up right you gotta start somewhere right we're still confused but the volume is up well I did see that the Oscars got 16 million viewers where the season finale of The Last of Us got 8.2 million viewers which is pretty incredible for a season finale that's going up against the Oscars so I I watched both of them in my own time I didn't go to the Oscar party that I was supposed to go to oh yes so you didn't I wasn't feeling great you didn't bring your peanut butter and jelly sandwich I didn't no now I have a ton of bananas upstairs bring them to the rotary yeah right the banana rotary oh and sandwich have we talked about the banana rotary I think we might have we might have at some point so there's a rotary in sand which is a small one I really don't even know why this roundabout is there yeah I know where it came from all of a sudden it was there yeah and every once in a while on the Towny Pages you see someone reignite the conversation of where do the banana peels come from and no one knows and no one knows and anytime someone reignites the conversation there seems to be more banana peels that get thrown in this roundabout right it's right in the middle and it's it's um kind of like pavement so that you can see that they're banana peels it's not like they're throwing them into you know mulch the the centerpiece thing that they have in there all of them beautiful plantings that they have in there no they throw them right there on the sidewalk in the middle of the roundabout yep I think now which is it's just kind of just keeps going on its own absolutely and now I think people wait for it so that they can drive by and throw their banana peel just so people can be like who's starting the a giant blob of seaweed double the size of the Sunshine State that they said is heading towards Florida well I've been reading about the red tide yeah well maybe this maybe the red tide is the precursor to the giant seaweed blob and and people are just all upset about the red tide and and you know on the Tony news Pages down in down in Florida down in Clearwater and people you know someone will write in I'm going on vacation I'll be there tomorrow should I cancel my hotel reservations well first of all you're going to lose your money but then the responses from people range everything wash also a few things what kind of pie is on there you can I put it on social media this morning as well as this quote Nor'easter that we're supposed to have when did the national news and also the local news start getting in cars and then driving the video around with them so that as you can see the tops they were showing me the tops of trees today AJ Burnett was driving around showing the tops of trees because he wanted to warn us that when the tree limbs get heavy they fall really and then we lose power no but this is what they had to do while the car was in motion to the tops of trees Channel 4 put one of their weather people in a in in Sky I-4 and they flew over the coast yeah so that we could see the beaches and the houses that may be in trouble if there's a lot of flooding or or high tides or something and then they go to the weather guy who says well high tide isn't going to be that much of a problem yeah but they just had the other weather person I think as we've talked about before they live for this we lived for this but it's like come on guys you gotta get better with it and I just don't understand the driving around in the bad weather to let us know to not drive around in the bad weather like they think if they take us with them we'll not do that we're gonna do that that's what we do four bytes worth of pie that's that's the best kind of pie right it is honestly like you want four or five good bites of it and you're good and you're done yeah it's about that Don I'm only a posting animal videos because the world is ending and it's 452 in California hello yeah seriously I don't know whether the world is ending but yeah the weather over there and you've got your your mudslides and what was what was the title pool problem there now did you already forget atmospheric River there you go atmospheric River and now we've got a giant blob of seaweed heading to Florida so watch out everybody but there's still jerks out there oh jerks never go away still jerks out there like the guy who is suing Buffalo Wild Wings oh this is incredible why is he suing Buffalo Wild Wings well because his buffalo wings aren't really wings at all they're more like chicken nuggets and they feel as if they're being lied to false advertising right really we all have come to understand what boneless buffalo wings are they're a chicken finger that's right regardless of size they're a chicken finger that's what we've now just called them it's what we've accepted yeah I don't know why anyone decided to say no you want the actual wing with somebody deboning it for you how much meat is that not a whole lot and four bites not a whole lot seriously and there we are clogging up our judicial system with things like that and they wonder why you know what they're looking for a fast payday they're looking for Buffalo Wild Wings to give them 10 grand to go away yeah probably you know to settle it to make them make them go away there was a great story yesterday in Canada of all places where there was a disagreement oh I I see her phone ringing um let's see if uh let's see let's see I don't know and maybe they're just trying to get through to us I know we we have a special caller coming up at eight o'clock and it might be a little bit too early for that but a little it's a little before eight yeah right oh so let me finish telling you about the story that I saw in Canada yesterday Oh Canada that's good that's about all I know about the Canadian anthem with all due respect anyone who's Canadian you feel like you've got to say with all due respect that yeah you know you just can't I feel like that's when you're about to be a jerk is when you say with all due respect because I'm gonna say something that's disrespectful oh okay no I'm not going to be a jerk I wanted to be sure I wasn't being disrespectful so I saw yesterday and I loved it it was such a fabulous story it was um a Canadian case that they put to bed and the judge finally was like it is your god-given right to give someone the middle finger if you want to give someone the middle finger so I'll give you the background to how this got to court Free Speech how this got to court there was someone that was walking by had a dispute with his neighbor and then the other neighbor was upset so he gave him the double finger and then that neighbor said that he assaulted him I forgot what the charge was this actually went to court this actually clogged up time in court over giving somebody the middle finger and the judge finally was like you've got to be kidding me and and he just walked into the courtroom and he was like it is your god-given Canadian right you give somebody the middle finger if you want to give somebody the middle finger is it polite is it neighborly well no it's not but is it assaulting somebody it absolutely isn't is it a threat to somebody it absolutely isn't stop wasting my time get out of here see another reason to move to Canada I don't know they got their own problems oh yeah they've got their own problems too you know and at least we know we can we can you know absolutely freely give the bird that may be important that's it that's gonna be important you don't know sometimes you gotta I if flipping somebody off makes me laugh when somebody flips me off I just immediately laugh it's like that got reaction to just laugh at them because they're usually usually always so angry yeah and you can see it in their face it makes me laugh awkwardly though when people are angry I don't know what else to do I try to avoid eye contact and then I laugh awkwardly because they don't know what to do when people get really mad like that that um State Rep in New Hampshire who got arrested for going up and and yelling and verbally assaulting the snow plow driver who pushed the snow in front of his driveway no I didn't see any of this oh yeah the guy went berserko I mean we all get upset when we've cleaned our driveway and then the snowplug comes by and this happened and some guy who's a state rep in in New Hampshire just came running out into the street got right in the face of um the snow plow driver who of course had his camera going and filming the whole thing and then once they figured out you know this guy was a State Rep that only made the story even worse and he got it awkward yep yep you know yeah I mean just there's ways to say hey I wish you wouldn't do that but I mean right right up to the right up to the side window yeah the constant police chase is out there good morning Danielle thank you so much for joining us so being half the rest of my brain this morning because mine's broken are you having a snow day by the way in Boston I would think they would be I don't but I don't know where it is right now they were really trying to make it happen this morning in Worcester once again driving around and taking us with them where they went oh yeah it is starting to get bad yeah we're standing there yeah I guess the yeah I don't have any classes this afternoon okay Bridgewater State campus is closing at two o'clock well once again you're a regional school so you have to be safe because people are coming from everywhere and it could be an hour Points North right right yeah so and the professor's coming from PowerPoint South yeah right so I mean I started getting emails last night yeah you know two of my other classes are canceled today you're going to cancel class and because my class is so dang late you know 325 yeah that's rough that's the that's nap time that's that's my nap time that's my nap time all right go ahead I'm sorry these are the ones that we forgot Robert Blake and hey Cindy Williams Leslie Jordan oh okay so Cindy Williams was more TV though right and Anne Heche was was I don't on the horizon as we're wrapping up shows I did watch The Last of Us this season finale so good I didn't play the video game I didn't know anything about it and uh I really did very much enjoy it um let's see The Voice and American Idol both back we're more an American Idol host than a Dental voice house I think consistently yeah that's the one I see more on American Idol yeah and it seems like the the winners from American Idol do go on to have more successful careers than the people who win on The Voice yeah but I don't I I don't know whether they're contestants or not you know what I mean sometimes they don't want to be known or they don't want to push that right I remember when back in the day the one Cape codder that made it huge was Siobhan Magnus right and I remember when she had come into our studio and we were prepped by her manager she doesn't want to talk about American Idol I'll just talk about it I'm like what am I going to talk to her about right that's how she made her name yeah yeah I don't know you know the thing that always gets me is is is particularly on The Voice the person who's the former background singer for pink yeah and it's like um what are you doing on this show I think that that's their time to step into that Spotlight and I think maybe that's what the voice is and it's Blake's last season I know you love it uh good morning Susan I hope you're healing quickly and Eva said this hour is killing her it's gonna take me a full month to get over this hour change yeah and I was up last night like a raccoon I just could not fall asleep it was midnight one o'clock I started watching Daisy Jones and the six great show by the way if you're looking for something new very good Daisy Jones and the six oh and what's that about it stars Riley Keough okay Riley Keough is Elvis's granddaughter okay so it's a fictitious show about a 70s band okay oh oh I've read about that really good it's really good I ended up rifling through like six episodes last night so there I am one o'clock in the morning like why can't I sleep maybe if I put on the Discovery Channel and listen to the sounds of nature I would have been out cold but I wasn't I was there watching Riley Keough and that story has gotten really nasty really did you see now that Priscilla Presley's ex-husband is in the mix throwing his hat in the ring for a piece of Graceland as well right yeah and people are saying that Riley was the one who brought him in this mix to kind of back her up and fight you know Grandma for this situation I want to know what happened there's got to be an underbelly story that we've not gotten yet and I want to know no that you know that's true it got really really quiet and I mean they couldn't have all gotten along right and all his girlfriends that that Elvis had nobody seems to have raised their hand and and written a tell-all book or I want a piece of you know I want to know what the money is for somebody to come for their granddaughter I want to know what this what the thing is there yeah there's something there and I just really want to know well he's still making money I mean he's still he's still making royalties and everything off his songs and Graceland is a huge tourist attraction yeah so I mean just like Michael Jackson Michael Jackson still making a ton of money right for his estate whoever that goes to then I'm gonna complain all day that I'm tired and then by the time it's time to go to sleep again I'm gonna do the whole cycle again tonight no Mary's what Mary's watching Perry Mason reruns which are really interesting okay because they're showing that what's on fetv um I don't know what number it is where you are but some of the shows he's incredible in the early days he's incredibly young yeah and you almost look at him and you go that's Perry Mason that's that's that's Raymond Burr because you think of the Burly Raymond Burr right this isn't the Burly Raymond Bird no he was young and fit and he was young and fit and and a big head of black hair yeah and the other thing about we could save the world Murray yeah the other thing about about Perry Mason is I never realized I know what I was wearing I'm watching the new one right now from the guy from The Americans it's quite good is it good yeah I like that yeah because these Perry Mason's the old ones he's actually out solving crimes and stuff and I I don't remember that because the original Perry Mason is a private investigator who becomes an attorney right you know that's the premise of the cell the premise of the show I never watched it yeah no it's good I'm watching the new one I really would recommend really I watched the new one because I like the guy from The Americans okay okay who married Carrie Russell I don't even know why I know all of these things if I could use this wisdom for goodness I would do it but I don't no kids I know Kerry Russell Carrie Russell was in what the Americans and Noxzema commercials no no no no but what was the show or the movie or whatever she's married to mcsteemy or was okay yeah but but didn't she have a show of her own or a movie or wasn't she somebody oh I'm sure she's been in a billion things all right well let's see good morning Junior I could spell Carrie that would be and now I'm thinking of spanakopita because you make the best one it's Pi Day it's on my brain I things that I'm watching while I'm not sleeping and that's brand new and I just rifled through that whole season I stopped at the last one because it just got too heavy she was Felicity ah Kerry Wilson that's what it was there we go and she's been in a bunch of moving stuff but she was Felicity yeah there we go yes your spinach pie is legit the best I concur it is fantastic I will definitely be by this week because now I want it and when I bought it I'm gonna get it what was wrong with your Duncan this morning you got a situation going on over there it was it was a little dark when I went to Mike Duncan that still doesn't have the the thing that's supposed to tell you how much your your order is worth or he's telling man you know that's I the thing I Like About You Hank thing something's wrong you'll still frequent it every single day and still remark about it like it's a surprise every single day you know you know it's going to be that way and not change it's surprised that it's not fixed no no and I go there because it's on the way to here right otherwise otherwise I go somewhere else because I'm taking Mariana to whatever and don't get me wrong there are three Duncans in our area but they're all out of the way to come here so I get it so so I get my coffee and I get my straw and I start going like this yeah and I can't because it's in the dark because it's in the dark and I can't see he's not adjusted no one told I feel like they're going to give you the new lid they should and now they finally oh it's one of these sippy lid things right which you don't need a straw for anything you don't need a straw for right right but I got a store anyway because I didn't want to slobber when we were live yep that's one more Turtle We're not gonna have thanks a lot Hank one for sure that's why they're going with the sippy cup lid is so they can avoid the straws altogether and cut a little plastic and also speaking of coffee Kerry Russell was in the waitress that is correct and yes a movie centered largely around pie perfect you brought us all home thank you and good morning Justin I hope you're doing well nice job looping that around would you like a job in radio seriously come on down it's really good how you did that that was actually that was really that was quite good yes and we went shopping oh that's right we went shopping for a pocketbook when I was dying I was like what over the weekend first of all the price of pocketbooks as I've seen but that's another story um but we went we went shopping for pocketbook we came home with a pocketbook eyeliner shoes a new filing cabinet oh um this sounds like when I take my 16 year old out paper towels toilet paper needs a new a new briefcase for for my computer oh you got something I got something too poor Mariana there was no room in the car for her oh she had like this much space in the back seat because we had filled everything up yeah but we went from the pocketbook to like well while we're here it's what happens look at this let's do this yeah yeah it is it is oh oh and the biggest thing is and the biggest thing is a new table and four chairs for the for the for the three Season room oh all right then we didn't have to put those in the car it went deeply shopping they're being delivered on fire giving delivered on um on Friday well that's good yeah but it was like we just kept going was it like a Patty's Day Sale like why no but but we got it's a nice table and chairs for the for the back room and we have a couch that's was our old living room couch and it's fine in the back room but we want to get something else so we found these really cool looking uh chairs yeah they're like u-shaped and you know Fabric and everything really nice and they recline but they don't look like really cool so Mari says you're fancy Mari says we're gonna get two so the guy goes over does the paperwork and he comes back and he says now that's going to be twenty two hundred dollars and she said for the table the chairs and the two chairs and he goes no just for the two chairs kind of chairs right well no big it was it was they were eleven hundred dollars a piece because they had to put the mechanisms in them oh the reclining portion didn't come with it it was a bait and switch the reclining portion it was probably like a at a furniture store of 400 500 cheap I don't know where you're shopping but it was 600 it was 600 bucks um it was it was one of the ones you fancy thing you but we didn't buy it yeah because I'm like that's a lot yeah so we said I'll I think we're having a sale next month yeah right so we'll be back yeah Murray said yeah let me know yeah um I feel like everybody does that and I also do that the let oh what's this what's this what's this we get really excited but it's also because I don't go shopping often right so if you get me out shopping like let's get it all done right let's just do it all let's make it happen let's fill up the car so there's no room for kids yep yep that's a good shopping trip and how often do you go Furniture shopping never like once every you know you use your living room set or your kitchen table or whatever I don't until it falls apart yeah it's painful for me my husband calls me the couch collector because I'm always like oh maybe we could use that somewhere oh maybe someone else that's giving away that free couch that free couch might be better off here no the free couches are free couches for reasons because people don't want to pay to move them and they don't want to pay to dispose of them that's why they're free couches and then when you get them I collect other people's bad problems right and they've been sitting if they've been sitting outside they've probably been rained on we don't get those ones and and you don't want although the one in my living room I did get it off the side of the road I did however Christy and I uh Christy page and I were driving around Falmouth and we saw it it was yellow and it was like an old Victorian and it was put outside of an old Victorian home okay and I like checked it all out it's probably full of asbestos but there it is sitting in my living room no they're fine you're fine by the way by the way it's the lead paint you're fine congratulations on having a certifiably smart kid right look at that all he had to do was do his homework weird wow no we had this conversation it was more of a come to Jesus with my son about how we're going to start going into high school next year we really have to start actually caring about doing things I know you're already super smart buddy but you got to kind of do the things like yeah do your homework right like show up small little fixes like that and all I had to do really was bribe him with money so I'm like listen if you get all A's you count them all up that's worth like 40 bucks so that's it immediately the kid got Ace immediately the kids on honor roll immediately the kids now in National Junior Honor Society and I'm like huh weird all it took was 40 bucks wow I ain't known this that's a cheap investment right how it started way earlier than that and then investing in the svb bank yeah what is the deal with the bank situation I don't really know how to feel obviously I didn't have an account there um but obviously I know it's affecting all of us because now the government has to bail them out and then bail out their bad Investments and then I know that there are things that I have investments in that had money in said bank right but then we got an email yesterday from Cape Cod Five and it was it was a weird email did anybody get that email from Cape cod5 and you're like are you just saying stuff because you know people are like what about my bank let me just put out words and email people that's kind of how I felt like it was Professor Hank would have sent it back to his students seriously though and so try it again yeah I was just like oh they're just saying words at me because we're all worried about Banks yeah it was it was a good idea to to reach out to customers we know a lot of people top five but it was like two two disjointed thoughts that yeah it didn't work yeah I mean just an email a simple email saying hey we care about you and none of this affects us don't worry about it we gotcha right that would have been fine yeah hugs and kisses president of the bank yada yada all right that would have been fine I know I feel like that that sums up what we're living with right now when you started talking about how Jimmy Kimmel had to be PC because that is kind of the culture that we live in right now and now our banks are just sending out emails to be like I don't know what's happening either but we we know that you might be worried about it right so so we want you to know that we know that you might be worried so we're going to tell you that we care that when does this start this stuff like it doesn't stop idea saying it wasn't a good idea but it was like oh okay just like you said the short little hey we know you might be concerned yeah it doesn't involve us we've nothing to do with this Bank thanks for your patronage right thanks for choosing us have a great day right sure happy to be you know Cape cod's leading leading Bank whatever don't get me wrong I'm not like stick in the mud not willing to grow I saw a great meme that said if you're not changing and growing because you see that things are wrong then there's something wrong with you and the other day and I was like right and then I just moved on with my day right it wasn't like I had to make a scene out of it or a thing it's exhausting I wonder now I know I had Brianna on my show a 24 year old on Friday and I felt exhausted for the amount of anxiety that is carried by our youth that is worried about everything so so much deeply that they can't function no because they see all this stuff on on social media and and don't want to sound like the you know old guy get off my lawn kind of thing but there's just so much junk out there that they're going to worry about I know it's a lot of noise then that's what I the the climate is noise right now for sure you know I see it in mind I see it in my students you know and it's and it's like guys you know calm down yeah you know and then I get up then I get an email from a student I these are my favorite emails that Hank likes to share with us I gave them um I opened the mid-semester exam the last week yeah before spring break and I kept it open through spring break and I said it wasn't going to close until Tuesday or Wednesday or something or um it would have been um this is my online class though is it rtb says bring back Susan Powers stop the insanity because yes that's immediately what I thought of continue on with email said so I get an email from a student who says um I had to work a double this weekend and and I forgot that the test closed Monday at noon time could I take it and I was like no it's really hard for us not to go that that story of back in my day we had the blah blah blah it's really hard but then the follow-up email says okay this is the mid-semester exam the follow-up email says is this going to affect my final grade didn't take the mid-semester exam what do you want me to say yes yeah yes it is I gave you two weeks to take the mid-semester exam I know and you didn't do it hey you're not trudging two miles to school and with the snow up to here that's it that's it climb in that mountain just so you can turn around and do it again no I get it but at the same time it's really hard for me as a person who had a full-time job a part-time job was putting myself through college myself um to the point where I decided that going into the army was a better choice for me because it would help me pay for college like that seemed like I got three Square meals and I got a roof over my head that seems like a way better option I'm gonna do that yeah it's it makes me crazy that so that's how you ended up in New York that's how I ended up in the military because I wanted to do it all myself I mean I had parents that would have paid for it right but I I was like no I'm gonna do it myself because I was one of those kids everybody has one of those yeah do it myself and I did it myself and it was just that point where I was so overwhelmed exhausted dead living in a crappy apartment in Pawtucket with four people and working working working going to school the bucket by the train tracks and I was like there's got to be a better way than this I could not live what street what street so it was right off uh Roosevelt Ave you know where it is yeah I do yeah it was not not cute Murray's Uncle used to live over there Murray what what uncle Alan used to live where yeah right it was like if we had that grit it was just like one of those things that we I tried I was a door-to-door sales person really while I was in in school at that point in time I was at Bristol Community College before I I went to other stuff but yeah it was just that moment where I was just like no this seems like a better option for me so it's really hard for me to when my daughter comes at me and she's like I am so tired today and I was just like uh what did your door-to-door sell crap absolute junk it was like this it was a giant ass warehouse and um Providence okay where they would get these deliveries of whatever it was it was books yeah it was perfumes it was whatever it was and then the guy the the shyster that would come out of his room yeah I think his name was Larry and he had a business outfit on looked like a bit reputable business guy would come out and be like all right these are the things that we gotta move today and we would go out in teams of four and five and drive to places and sell them we would go to factories we would go to the Portuguese ladies and be like look this is cheap it's like whatever yeah and we would I would practice my pitch really find people selling whatever it was that the factory had a bunch of and it was it was like the weirdest scam I don't know really what it was I ended up being so busy at school that they put me in the office so that I could hire other people to scam them to sell for us it was the weirdest thing but I met some really cool people and uh I definitely felt like if I could do that and I could do anything right like they would literally fill our cars full of junk I'm talking books and and the weirdest items was it stuff that had fallen off the back of trucks probably probably it was probably like all the dogs so it could have been all the stuff at dollar stores that's all due respect to Rhode Island no but it was definitely those those it was Ocean State Job Lot on Wheels mari's Uncle lived on Roosevelt Ave all right see we were neighbors another connection oh my gosh but seriously this was one of my jobs I did this for a living it's really kind of weird for me to hear stories where kids are like it's so hard for me to email you I ran out of time or I ran out of Wi-Fi or I ran out of the excuses make me angry yeah because if you really wanted to you would right bottom line and and I don't know which is better giving them getting off of my high horse now giving them giving them um um more of a break or less of a break well because there are two schools of thought we should make it better for the people after us we should make it easier for them because why would we want people to suffer right but then there is another part of us that like you need to have a little bit of grit to get anywhere in life and a little wherewithal to be able to go higher than that right so I mean it is a catch-22 you want to be better for them right but it's hard right life is hard period the end of discussion yeah I think it whatever your heart is I guess choose your difficulty level right yeah that's it yeah I chose to have it on high speed not everybody has to have it that way I get it right right oh yeah it's just my space oh so yeah I watched all of the the higher end movies like Top Gun and Elvis and Avatar why are those ones never the ones that were nominated I was glad that I did watch everywhere everything everything everywhere all at once how was that right before the Oscars is that worth watching I mean I don't have a lot of patience with movies it's weird but it's good and the when at the very end you're like wow this tied together so nicely the way it was directed was like some of the scenes were weird they're artsy they're a little bizarre but the sentiment was amazing okay and I loved the speeches I loved the winners at the Oscars this year I thought it was really courteous Curtis was fabulous well and then there was the the backlash for Jamie Lee Curtis because she kind of really didn't do anything in that movie right I guess I watched it there was very little that she did though probably but I think it was a do you you earned it you waited the longest here you go here you go have a prize you waited the longest here you go yeah thanks for standing in this line for very long right I don't know if that's a thing or not but I the other ones um data and I loved the fact that um what's his name Harrison Ford yes gave him a big hug and then they were putting all the Indiana Jones stuff up there right I mean he did wait a really long time and he's crying that his wife is crying and I'm like oh so cute like that was a moment but then the Talk of the Town was Harrison Ford was up there presenting with Glenn Close and she had just tested positive for coven three days earlier really so why was she there at the awards oh I didn't see that no that was the Scuttle today that she willingly and knowingly went out there infecting people because he's certainly of an age he does not need to be infected he is a national Treasurer Harrison Ford does not need to be getting sick and dying right now and he looked good too I'm enjoying him in a lot of TV shows once again I have super insomnia so I'm watching everything the unshrinkable I guess that he's on and then I just wrapped up 1923. so I went from one Harrison Ford to the next Harrison Ford show leave the man alone and if you just infected him Glenn Close I'm gonna be coming for you right I'll be boiling your rabbit not cool uh anything else that we gotta get to before we wrap up this day I don't I don't think so I think we've I think we've we've kind of covered everything I know right that's gonna that's gonna happen I went off on my little tangent about intestinal fortitude sorry real kids tragic to school today did you ever think you'd become a cranky old lady no no not me never never no that was never gonna happen nope nope I'm gonna be a cranky going back and forth about a good name and then I I threw something at you and you just one-upped it and I was like oh that is it that is it my husband's like who thought of that I was like well it's according to a new survey 75 of people that moved have regrets you've recently moved I'm sure you've got it everyone's got a little bit of regret because it's all we're used to it that's what we do as people yeah I miss the familiarity of of where we right we lived in the same house in the same neighborhood for 28 years so even though the people around us change in some cases it'll look the same for two years coming up and down the street and and I know sometimes when I'd be driving home from somewhere you know going to the going to the house I'd be thinking to myself oh my god I've been driving down the street for 20 21 22 23. you know so it's it's it's hard with the familiarity um although you know I like where I live now and yeah I'm learning to drive 20 miles an hour that's it and you're enjoying some of the amenities yes yes it's a different sort of life my husband was like oh we're gonna buy right in there and maybe that's what we'll do and I'm like we got a little bit of time left babe right time right and he's like what do you mean that's not that kind of community I said it is it is 55 55 and older easy like Sunday morning no Lynn we are not doing that we specifically discuss not doing that so that's that's a great name Lynn unfortunately it's not easy everybody and to get one I'm easy easy like sorry boy I'm sorry Mari she she would totally agree with lot so yeah it's probably not the time to test my blood sugar no no like when you get up it's it's the time to do it because everything is settled down although you don't sleep no so I don't know what's gonna be a good time whenever that happens right but I was like no I don't want to do it my husband's like that's fine I'll just wait till you're asleep and I'll test it on your toes so maybe
