peppers I love those they're good my husband one day we were there and he's like oh a little bit of heartburn orders the shishito peppers I'm like are you gonna fight fire with fire you psycho yeah he's like oh only one out of ten are hot of course that's the one he got I thought I was gonna be driving him in the wambulance the wambulance all the way home oh that's why we have Tums in her car in the club everybody have a tissue seriously though who orders shishito Peppers after proclaiming they have heartburn thank you my psycho husband so it's gonna be a full weekend I don't even have a day last weekend oh yeah you were busy all gallivanting around New York City I did I did I went to New York because I wanted to spend the weekend with my my um Nephew just moved there from Florida you finally got out of that state and lives in Brooklyn and I've never been to Brooklyn before very cool it was it was great it was it really was so I took the train up I stayed with my buddy Michael that lives on Lower Isn't it nice because you're in Boston half the time and so you can just pop into New York and be there in a few hours that's it I made the mistake that well I didn't make the mistake I mean I left out of Back Bay which to guarantee which it doesn't matter because it's so early in the morning the train I took you can you want to leave out of South Station because that's where the train originates right but Abel was able to park in the South End near backpack because I have a South End Slicker so that was nice because I hate having to Uber everything because you're already spending so much on Ubers or taxes exactly in the city so anyway it was fun it was like brunch City I was having so many brunches here and there I'm just we don't really have that many great brunches here on the cape yeah and if we have great brunches that I'm not knowing about please drop it in the chat because I'm all about a fabulous brunch and I just feel like we're lacking in that department on the cape no matter what town you're in and because Michael's in the Lower East Side he's so close to Little Italy yeah oh we went to this place called buenanote and it was so good yum we shared a couple you know when you start speaking with the Italian accent like Giada it's a good Italian food except I will not say spaghetti did you know there was a whole YouTube so not a YouTube what somebody did a video of like her saying spaghetti like irritating oh yeah a different way good yeah she was not pleased well uh oh she got it taken off of YouTube I'd be like oh poor thing her feelings were hurt so you said it you have to live with it exactly those are your consequences you live with it you said it good morning Joanna thank you so much right I need a good brunch too yeah bring it on well one of my favorite restaurants that I'd love to go when I'm in New York in Manhattan is in Tribeca it's Mark forgione he's an Iron Chef oh he was on Iron Chef fancy I love his stuff yeah so good and there was a there was a wait staff that she was phenomenal she's so good to me um and she would like she would print out some of the recipes and give them to me there was that's cool there was a book that Mark was coming out with and she had a pre-printed copy they had a pretty I like that I don't like an apple Chef that's like you know Dean they even held my table or she found out that I was on on the reservation she's like no that's mine yeah you know that's my guy um but anyway they're doing construction and he has two sister restaurants and one of them we went to um excuse me we went to brunch and so good Joanna you need to come down here we've got Cape Cod coffee and they do do a coffee flight so if you're interested in the coffee flight absolutely come my way we'll go tell me about a coffee flavor right the different coffees that they have and all the different roasting beans yeah I know we gotta do that yeah it's on at the end it's a lot different from the Mimosa flights we do very it's a lot it's a little bit different yeah set the scene and thank you so much for bringing me up some flower Bakery this morning I tore into a croissant well I know you love the plank whistle it was delicious and I appreciate that this was also another one of like your Chef follow you followed this show Joanne Chang yeah she's fantastic this is an Empire now the well Sarah you've got like eight or nine locations she's got a bread quarters over in she comes to the cape every once in a while does pop-ups on the cave yeah she stands and she's got someone on the North Shore as well she did a lot during the pandemic of that um then her her and her husband have this restaurant on Washington Street in the South End called Myers and Chang uh which is good it's a good hangout place my favorite though is when rtb gets he a lull in his day and he'll take a coffee break and go to the bakery and then he'll just sit and absorb the conversations that happen all around him it is like watching Craigslist in real life he's like he'll send me a photo he'll send me like the whole like recanting of the conversation it's usually a name it's usually ridiculous and I'm usually there Hook Line and singer and for this conversation I'm like please tell me more about dumb people it's so enjoyable we love people watching I could sit there all day like zoo animals it's so fun I mean it was I don't know it seemed like such a banal conversation they were talking about the origin of french toast and I'm like seriously that's all you have time to do there's one of them was pulling up his phone and talking about it I'm like okay well you even have this situation when you were in New York where you just showed me the photo so he took a photo of I don't know three influences I didn't take the photo oh okay I don't know I asked I asked my nephew to take the picture because he was right right like he had the proper angle yeah you could do the reverse image so it was over his shoulder so there's three women sitting at a table they had like ring lights and whatnot taking photos of absolutely everything that came to their table so I was curious I was like maybe they're influencers maybe they're working for the restaurant but I would I would have asked so many questions it was so annoying I didn't want to ask any questions because it wasn't just that table there was another table on the other side of of two other people doing the same thing was it like a newer restaurant was it like something I think it was a newer restaurant I have to actually take a look at the name of it yeah I'm so curious now because I've got so many questions good morning Mari and good morning Lauren yes it was one it's called one fifth so it's uh one it's at one Fifth Avenue and it's right near NYU um they open at 11 30 we had reservations at 11. I like the coffee and cannabis conversation that is happening over here I'm gonna be at 4 20 by the way going to be at Cape Cod cannabis uh for their celebration of 4 20. they're going to be food trucks live entertainment and I will be there for the lunch portion yeah 4 20. my favorite you know is the espresso beans yeah the THC in it yeah you know it's kind of cool because it gives me the extra punch well that's it I mean I think a lot of people are looking for alternatives for for alcohol at this point in time and yeah something a little bit why the hell not it's more natural natural sure why not bring it on all of the vices good morning Sandra thanks for joining us so yeah you had a whirlwind trip where you got to see Sasha velor oh yes she did these two nights only one in February one in March um and it was a fundraiser there's just doing so much because of the political climate and the things that are happening in the attack on drag queens performers drag queen performers um pepper was there um who is nominal oh my God what a fun show the the end of the show she came out full Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation 1814 regalia had five really that's incredible the choreography I get chills thinking about it because it was so good spot on in sync it was great see I need I need to see more of that I usually go and see Sloppy drags I need to see a good one Bachelorette sloppy drag but I was able to meet both Sasha and um and peppermint after the show and just thank them and you know not only for the show but all the work that they're doing and they're taking care of the community Sasha's originally from Brooklyn area and does a bunch of shows there um the other thing too is uh there was an auction there was a raffle and they made like an uh like a thousand more than they did the previous show that's amazing and our table won two of the three Raffles oh so cool raffle winning all around everybody yeah Cliff won last night Cliff came home with like wolf pants like all of them I'm like we're getting rid of all of our pots and pans I'm so excited it was like a 1300 set of pots and pans that he won it's still in the box it's still in the box I'm like are you there afterwards I'm gonna have to have a conversation with my children about what we're allowed to use and what we're not allowed to use and you're not allowed to use mummy and Daddy's pants pants pants Mommy does pants are the children allowed to cook they are do they cook they both do they both they both cook well Lily loves to dirt she um is a chef like my husband where let's use every single dish that we own and all the Contraptions and then leave them all on the dishes I thought she just ate cheese right out of there she makes mac and cheese some rice concoctions Taylor made it back some other what's going on oh well Lily likes to have like the 14 cheese mac and cheese where she'll go to like whole paycheck and Buy 47 cheeses and I'm like it's like two hundred dollars you've seen my car I know I've seen your car he popped into a grocery shopping he was like that's a lot of cheese yeah I'm right I'm like rtb is on the cave I just came over the Sagamore and I had to go and I wanted to get I think either to go to the bathroom in or to get something that's it at the market basket and you're like we're right behind you pull into the parking lot and there's cliff and Stephanie in there with our basket of cheeses I left for a second I come back to say goodbye and you've got a cart full of cheese I'm like wow that's a lot of shoes seriously it's a problem in this house you don't need that many so much cheese but yeah I need to protect my pants so I'm glad you won some Raffles why did you win anything good uh Sasha handmade and glued these uh bedazzled nails how that's like a once in a lifetime one of a kind win it's it's and they're glued to this piece of construction paper it's so random and I know and what was funny is my nephew's boyfriend won the book that's coming out this week oh cool yeah that Sasha wrote so he got the book I got a house in the book when I you know of course like um I knew my card can you scratch your back with him no I'm not gonna even try but I knew my you know you know me in numbers I knew all my I knew the beginning and end of my raffle numbers and it was right at the end it was like you know 30208 and I'm like oh [ __ ] I won the nails so of course when I go up there I knew it was going to get you know ripped before and they're like you got to put them on and take a picture I'm like okay I will eventually I'm like but that's gonna be a private photo shoot yeah right with you guys and that's it exactly I mean they're I'll tag you later mean it yeah but it's not happening overnight you know Bears got his wasn't too rude because you know I have the perfect comeback when people you know especially when hot guys are like nice mustache I'm like free ride so here we are and then it gets quiet I know yeah I love it they don't know how to react yeah like did I just hear him say for you right what does that mean I'm like do you have to ask it does not Mentor anymore that's it is anything going on in p-town this weekend uh I don't know it's the Calm before the storm you're getting the whole house just had their 10-year anniversary they had a little uh that's exciting yeah and then you know watersizer's been doing some really nice like it's Tuesday or Wednesday nights they've been doing movie screenings and and some of the dry communities come out and hosted it um yeah there's just a lot that it's gonna happen soon there's a whole 420 um fast I think it's a third year that uh McKenzie and Austin I love McKenzie definitely come in and see the show be prepared for uh more than you've bargained for with MacKenzie but yeah wonderful human and Lily Rose from Boston is doing doing a residency I think at the crown super fun this summer first time pushing yourself to do that because she does a lot of a lot of performances in Boston and finally gonna Branch out yeah if you haven't been to the crown lately you definitely it's worth the trip because uh they've done a great job just making it bigger and better I'll post the whole new season oh I know it looks like a banging season over there we've got you know uh Miss Richfield my buddy uh misconceptions coming back all at the pilgrim house I just saw the pilgrim houses for sale Lauren wants to paint your forehead oh is it that big I guess it is no she said and she just wanted to know if it was shiny or not oh I said we could definitely paint it that's different that's for Carnival what are we doing this year RGB and I are going to be doing a live broadcast we're just not quite sure where yet I didn't know that so that have two intermissions it's gonna be alone so Pace myself is what you're saying we'll bring whatever drugs again get a flask so don't fall asleep whenever I can maintain this my son is gonna be a pain in me you know what he's excited for it he was surprisingly fabulous when we went to Phantom of the Opera and that was his first show that we got to go to when we were in England that's got a lot to it yeah he's not going to be yeah so uh we've got to make up something for him on the outside of that that is like make sure you behave here and there's only so many Skittles and Twizzlers and snacks that I can possibly give this boy to keep him contained so we'll have to see how we're gonna uh rearrange this I would look around the Met to see where he could hang out yeah um in case he doesn't want to continue the lounge area so it could be less disruptive for other people that's good coffee shop he's only 14. I get it and small doses but three acts thank you for reminding me because I have not seen it well we had we had we had a very close personal friend that was in it um and when we went to go see it and yeah I was falling asleep oh oh all right well we'll see and for me it was funny it was like it was there was uh I think it was the second or third act where I was really really engaged it was really shows and you you have a Nashville trip planned next year yeah I'm going to my niece's wedding celebration she's already married um but this is finally doing it with the relatives and friends and all that kind of stuff her her husband is in the military and stationed in Clarksville okay so she's been living there I think since January last year uh and of course had no way of knowing you know the kind of climate and the laws that are that were it's just a lot happened it is it is I mean even Madonna added dates uh in December to go to Nashville to protest and just make it yeah she did it on purpose yeah she did and Bob the drag queen is opening up for her too again you know drag is so important so prevalent and so you know important for our freedom of speech um there also was a reason it's all over the place Jon Stewart um interviewing this oh I know I actually want to see that was the first time I've ever watched a clip of a reel and then went and watched the full length show because I was like I wanted to know just not the clip portion I wanted to actually see the whole show because with this conversation Wrong conversation starting with the whole gun control yeah yeah then it went it was like guns to drag and it was just like I had to sit and watch it it was Heavy it was it was and just sewing the the it just the um I'm trying to think of the right word just how out um well it definitely evokes a lot yeah so um but he just lacks any kind of substance yeah it's just controlling people the conversation that's being had though throughout America and it's really I I try to avoid things that make me feel icky uh but sometimes there's no choice and you have to talk about what's happening and it's it's sad and It's upsetting right um because you know again you know you're in a safe space yeah exactly and you're an ally yeah and we need more people that are allies to to come out and say stuff for that conversation and to just be like all right let's like look at that but there were facts there were supported facts and um just because you close your eyes to one side of the arguments right and trying to say that you know infer that he was saying speculators like no the John Stewart's like this is not speculation this is proven this is exactly what's happening yeah you know and I am all for my rights and I I it's just a really really tough conversation that America is you're not protected you're not trying to protect kids because if you were trying to protect the kids you were to have these safer gun laws I know it is it is what was the course absolutely I uh I started I finally watched George and Tammy since we're in this Nashville conversation what do you think uh well I I just I obviously we know the story of George and Tammy anyone can Google it and read the tumultuous relationship that they have but I thought it was well done okay I thought the show was well done I have not I I liked it all right cool I liked it I've seen it it's popped up I just haven't yeah I thought it was really well cast cool and I think that they did a great job now who was in it um I know both of the actors and I can't think of them off the top of my head if you want to look yeah he's our facts figures and statistician rtb loves numbers and fun facts exactly and usually can retain them but I love the actress I knew it I thought it was Jessica she is amazing she's she's awesome she's so good she's on Broadway right now but she there was scenes that she really I don't know whether they did CGI to morph her to look like right like Tammy but she did she looked like her she channeled her yeah and the actor that played George was incredible George and Tammy Wynette wow yeah yeah it was it was just a really good oh and it's as a season yeah okay it's interesting they're doing things as a season rather than a full-fledged Motion Picture well because they're going to do other ones probably I think they're going to do other Duets or maybe other famous you don't know where they're going to go with the next season right I think True Detective was the first show that did that HBO on Showtime and HBO yeah uh to have the seasons but totally new cast totally different crew totally different vibe and I I kind of like the way that rolls yeah it's more digestible for me anyway yeah um I also I mean I've loved everything she's done she's on Broadway right now Jessica Chastain and Lori Lenny is also on Broadway too really they're both doing plays on Broadway that's the one thing I kind of miss going to New York and not going to see a show yeah did these like huge intents like we would see theater we would have a nice dinner and we would go out to the bars and this was just it was still packed my weekend but it was just in a different way yeah I was exhausted yeah right yeah that city does exhaust you it's like you're busy you're moving in well you also had like emotional stuff yeah you're like yeah kind of dealing with a lot of that family sucks the life out of you relatives relatives do yes there's a there's there's a there's that there's a dichotomy there you know it's also a dirty City if you're world's largest feet and the creeps are coming out of the Woodworks looking for the Foot photos really how big does it is it a certain how big are they exactly all right so I'll pull up the story just so I can have all the facts in front of me so we could talk about the poor woman with the world's largest feet because I really feel bad and feet gross me out in general so the thought of this poor woman with the most giant feet being trolled for Foot photos well I should I shared with you a few weeks ago the most recent which was underwear for toes it was so weird we're having a moment we're having a moment I don't like she uses her huge flippers to kick pervs to the curb a Texas woman curves to the curb with the biggest feet they are 12.79 inches long all right that is a men's 16 17. wow that's huge right how tall is she uh Tanya Herbert 39 years old she says I received many comments about my feet selling photos of my feet not interested she first gained national attention this past fall after breaking the Guinness Book of World Records um it doesn't say how tall she is I know I want to know too yeah she says because I am tall but she doesn't say how to how tall are you wow come on Tanya how did you find out about this she it just came up in my weird news stuff the stuff I get emailed to me on a daily basis because people know that I'll read it look at it and then be interested and then possibly talk about it is exponential and I appreciate all of you so keep those emails coming I love it I'm like oh it's this no I got sucked into this Rabbit Hole so listen I had a moment last night where I don't know whether I took myself on my own saliva I snort I coughed however I woke myself up at freaking 3 A.M I was like coughing and this is like weird cough and I'm like oh my God am I sick I don't even know whose cough is this wait it's mine this was the moment that I had that I woke myself up for at 3am so then obviously I'm awake husband's awake husband's like turns on the TV now I'm fully awake and irritated so I hit the tick tock and there I'm scrolling and I'm scrolling and I'm watching cat videos and I'm watching dog videos and I'm watching idiots and I I that's where I get my best stuff done rtb I watched that video over and over of this dog this poor owner just had a full laundry basket and he's walking this laundry basket upstairs and he sees this dog nice and comfortable on the couch and he looks over and he's like Jack go get that bring it upstairs and then the dog sits there looks at him looks at the stairs you could hear the dog audibly sigh get up and pick up the sock and follow him upstairs and then you can hear the owner because it's like the Living Room cam right he's like oh my God he did it that's all stupid stuff like this this is what I'm watching at three in the morning when I snort cough wake up myself and turns into a three-ring circus at 3am so at least you did not have to sleep with an Olive Pit in your throat are you still seriously suffering from said Olive Eva so I had an event last night it was a fundraiser for Teddy's team which by the way you missed it Lindsay's photo Lindsay was in the video that they showed from Teddy's team so apparently I'm the official Teddy's team fundraiser DJ so we were there we raised a ton of money from Kelly who works for the Davenport companies and I was so excited to see another person that I've done at Teddy's team fundraiser for and this is for a stroke awareness knowing the signs and they've made a really nice Grassroots campaign and raised a lot of money for people with stroke um victims and and getting out the awareness of it so we're there we're having a great time and all of a sudden I'm like where's my friend where's my friend that I chose to pick this event over the other event she's gone I was like Kenzie where is she oh she got an olive stuck in her throat she had to leave I'm like what I thought she made it up I really thought she made up your excuse I was like that is a terrible excuse she'll do anything to get out right so I'm hoping you're I'm hoping you're better today yes she did sing Stand By Your Man yes yes she did stand by no we're not doing this this is someone that I had 47 emails back and forth with oh my God the time the choice the games the whatever comes week of I'm like okay we'll be there set up at this time this this that nothing crickets send another email make a phone call leave a message nothing nothing I'm like okay so I'm gonna be the bad person if I don't send a host right and if I don't make sure that this I just want confirmation I get it people get busy in their business people don't have time to do things people don't have but a simple no no this event's canceled we're not booking it oh misunderstanding even though I know it wasn't a misunderstanding so I physically drove to the place yesterday uh-huh how big of a drive was that not far that's good because we know there's a lot of construction going on right now oh my God put a pit in that all right we'll put a bit in that so I get there and I go in there and they're just sitting in there painting oh I know where we are now and I'm like um uh so I just want to make sure that there's not an event and then it was like oh no like acted as if there was never a conversation about this shake my hands it's the owner I'm like oh my God there's no way you did not get my messages not any like I know when you're talking about communication back and forth and 40 emails four thousand pieces of communication to be like oh oh we're thinking about doing that um when you give someone a date and time you're committing you're committing you're not fixing the story so needless to say that that invoice has been rejected and there will be no further communication there because I'm done if I have to hunt you down at your place of business we can't be friends unless it's for fun there we go and then that's fine and if there's a fire consequential that's it so back to the pin on the freaking construction that is happening all about the cape yes I do understand spring you say do you understand we're doing this but we've got like but the Summer's not really the time for me to do it because it's like I have my full-time job and I have the rental which is almost another job so I'm back and forth all the time I'm just laughing at where you've got no communication coming from a situation that and that I feel like is a control Factor you don't have control so you don't know how to plan and things are up in the air where they shouldn't be and even if I do get invited I'm probably just going to decline because I've got other things going on it's there's going to be this uncomfortable awkwardness and it's because that person's not willing to be honest yeah honest conversation and they want to live in this perfect world again there's that word and it's not and it's just like I'm not living under that facade yeah so I'm just going to let it Let It Go and it's okay to have uncomfortable conversations I have that with my kids all the time like it's yeah you know it's not our favorite and I know we want to our natural inclination is to run away from danger but don't stop like this you're left in inferring things and having a guessing game it's like no just be honest I'm I can take it yeah that's fine I'm definitely gonna peel the Band-Aid person it might take me a little while to peel it but I'm like oh fine let's do it and I you know what I kind of I I kind of did this past weekend with a friend that I connected with and um it's just been awkward like we've both been trying to get past that awkward phase yes and we did and it was successful and it was nice um and I'm glad that that is the the weirdness is over it's true it is over right and it's okay to be over it's okay to admit that you know and also when you're talking about certain things that might invoke specific feelings or emotions yeah you're at least communicating to that person how that made you feel and they have a responsibility or they have the ability to at least tell you I didn't know that or you know I'm that's not the way I interpret it you know and we kind of either have an impasse or like I'll be more respectful of that if you're going to continue that relationship at least you can see the left turn went where you didn't mean to go that way you're like whoopsies didn't mean to go there sorry it happened so yeah now you're kind of questioning for your whole summer but that's it but it's okay um I also have a construction project I got to worry about you got a lot going on right well I got the floors and it's just you know it's getting ready to do the floors I gotta pack everything and I don't want to do it sometimes just the thought of doing something is the worst part I feel like for me gearing up to do the thing is the hardest part once I'm doing it it's like ah why did I make myself procrastinate sack of a wife exactly she was great before now she's not have fun with that stumbling get it together let's go he fed me and I was fine that's it he fed her and that was that's it I went I grabbed the purse that was in the condo Hannah didn't say hey have a great time sometimes when you're busy having fun you forget to eat that's the only time that I forget to eat trust me this ain't missing many meals and I haven't posted a meme fairly recently it was Brittany when somebody says you forget to eat you're like okay but I know we had that moment it was great because you know I'm warm I'm
