RTB on Holly Folly and December 1st Ushers in the holiday excitement

we're not doing that we already had it people were waiting patient they're like all right enough stanie good morning and live from Province Town I would open up the windows but um there seemingly is jackhammering going on actual Street jackhammering totally and also the Light messes with the the um camera and we don't have like our full lighting team here today to be able to combat that so you know it's just rtb and I post the golden Bachelor last night God that was so bad um I haven't laughed that hard in a really really long time because of the show or because of my commentary because of your commentary not the show the show is terrible terrible it's terrible once again if you're just joining us and you haven't heard us ranting and raving about the golden Bachelor I don't normally watch any of those franchise shows nether do I um but I got sucked into Gary when we started seeing the women we loved the women that were involved into this season and uh last night was no exception it was chef's kiss with Teresa's drama and uh like Gary just being so incredibly awkward yeah and thinking he could handle the situation and it's so bad just got frustrated it was just like stop doing that you know you're not in charge how much of that is the producers though well you know what you and Hank talked yesterday about the article in The Hollywood Reporter yes so I looked at it and it was like wow there's a lot of things here that make sense because the guy worked in at a mental health facility he's really well alike so yeah the screening was good because they knew that he could handle this yeah and be a snake to yes you know and then the whole story about What's happen what happened in Davenport Illinois after his wife died and you'd mentioned that you know the bed wasn't even cold and he was like dating a month later so that whole real emotional piece you get in the first three minutes of the first episode of the golden Batcher it's all produced yeah so what rich is referring to is uh there was an article that came out about an anonymous woman good morning Gloria Gloria says hello you two hi um that said basically he was conducting a relationship with this woman weeks after his wife passed and dated her for three years up until it was time to go to her reunion and then broke up with her because she gained 10 pounds and he didn't want to be seen with her and then goes on to the bachelor Jesus and got the skinniest human Teresa in her bag of bones are we gonna talk about that no I cannot revisit it I actually lost Consciousness last night laughing I had zero oxygen left in my body my stomach I woke up this morning I'm like why does my arm hurt oh yeah I lifted things yesterday why do my stomach hurt oh yeah was peeing my pants laughing she lost more than at Teresa oh my gosh but the best part was I was texting with Mari who was having a sleep over at her girlfriend's house and she's like it's not done yet don't leave and I'm like I am done I'm done I went to bed I'm over it yeah I'm not doing the after show also it's not not happening I think there was something too like you know he had um Gary Jerry Gary Jerry whatever he owned or sold his Mr Quick hamburger franchise Drive-In franchise in Iowa um and then he went working for a me positions in the meat industry or meat Business Academy that just shows you that Gary needed to be near a lot of meat compensate for some other kind of me that probably isn't existing in his life that's all I'm saying tried it out it wasn't for him because we do have we do have another phrase for Gary Jerry oh we're not gonna say oh we're not gonna say that I don't think we should no definitely not not that this is a family show but yeah we have adult viewers yeah right so I got to thank our be holiday themed there's the inst stroll there's the gallery stroll there's the Cannabis stroll there's that's new this year that's new this year stop at all of them that this is your opportunity just to see what kind of little grab B they might be giving away so definitely come down Down The Province Town today and tomorrow actually Sunday too go to uh ptown.org holiday and you'll see the whole entire list plus there's tons of entertainment yes that's why I love coming to Provincetown because there's no lull and entertainment no matter what time of year I know it's the off season around here but it's still justce festive people were rolling in yesterday and they've got Gallery strolls there's so much beautiful art there's so many great crafters and creator here there's great food um there's so much entertainment yep the annual um Super Saturday that's a Tin Pan Alley that runs from 11:30 to 2:30 get there early because there are a lot of people they sell out there soups and stews from all over the the town it's $8 for did you know it's National soup month well that's why they have it on December 1st I'm Really Gonna Hurt you later anyway I love soup it's so weird is that an old lady thing I don't know but I love it well so and it's comforting it's comforting when you're not feeling well not directly across but diagonally across where the firehouse is they're selling quartz for 17 bucks and it all um it benefits the soup kitchen uh that we have locally yeah if you've not visited skip they have probably one of the best thrift shops you've ever been in but they also do so much for the community here including feeding people and if you want to you can donate um a meal you know can pay so that they can that you know their their meal is paid for for everybody that comes nobody is I love soup we are old I saw your beautiful Christmas tree that Natasha did Natasha cut that thing down because it is a very mbil Christmas tree Milly have you never heard this Cape Cod term no she lives in Marston's Mills oh and that is pretty much the only landlocked town on Cape Cod okay and you see a lot of agriculture in the town it's horses horse farms and we have dubbed them milbillies true milbillies all right and it's pretty awesome um I love the tree that she chose this year it is wonky AF and I love it we're going with a tiny tree this year Lily uh wants a five foot tree she wants a lily sized tree a lily sized tree okay and our theme this year is black and white so I don't know I know whatever I'm letting her have her artistic Creations I don't care yeah I've reached that point in adulthood where it's just like oh that looks nice that's good that's I don't care I wish I was uh I had the time because I'm just too damn busy I know you know and I want to be festive but it's just you got the tree up it's naked but it's it's naked it's going back in the Box oh because I'm not GNA be here oh that's sad yeah I know well I have the other one that I brought out of storage that's in the Boston condo so I'm hoping that maybe I'll have a few night this week good that I can do it well you had the outside all decked out nicely so that was I paid people to do that well then I need someone to come to my house and do it um let's also not let's also not forget today is World AIDS day December 1st honoring everyone that has been affected are we gonna talk about the big to-do yes we are here in provin toown yes you're skipping she's had too much caffeine already um but anyway today's world a day it's also so there there's the commemoration and we always do something here at the a memorial right in front of or next to town hall on the grounds and that'll be today at 4:30 um but it's also the 40th anniversary of the a support group of cave Cod so it's also kind of a commemorative celebration of being able to provide services and help people that um are affected uh with AIDS um I think that's one of the things that we do annually here that has caused um some people to be more aware of what's going on in provinc toown and that this is a very highly you know high volume of of of lgbtqa community and you can go ahead well I just wanted to talk about it has affected absolutely everyone I've heard nonstop this week about the protest that is scheduled to take place here today um and It's upsetting to me and I'm sure to many which is why it's been the topic conversation it's been written about in a few articles and our small Publications here but I think that it's really sad that a group of individuals has chosen this destination during holol during these Monumental Year celebrations to take what is supposed to be a celebration of life a celebration of the hard work uh the celebration of the volunteerism and the good-natured spirit and make it about something it's not and I think that's so gross but I feel like province toown is going to handle it with yeah with Grace and dignity and just showing up in numbers because we already have people that come here and it's it's a very highly attended weekend um and good morning Brendon they're going to be protesting apparently in front of the post office c c Cabaret and cafe and there are shows going on and uh it's it's been announced it's been very open in public onook Facebook and people are buying tickets and going to attend and showing up in numbers and that's what I love that's the spirit of what this community really is I mean the amount of drag queens that are going to be rolling up into that building is exponential the amount of people that are going to be there in support thereof is going to be exponential if you have any high heels you're not using anymore put them on come on down donate them or hand them to everybody that's it we'll use them hey we'll have stone let's write something don't don't screw with us I just I love the the plan though that I've talked to most people and they're like I'm gonna come up and it's not to just I and ogal the nonsense it's definitely support situation so if you are in the area and you do find yourself wanting to be part of this please come be a part of it and come and just support love and light we're going to smile we're going to show them how we show up for everybody we're going to show them what class looks like and we're going to continue about our celebrations and our business first ever Christmas troll that's great and I am giving away gift cards to all the stores inside of mashby comments every half an hour wow so I've got yeah today wow I thought this was s Sun Saturday Sunday no Sunday is a whole another celebration oh I'm this is the weekend friends we are very busy this weekend I'm gonna be over at Everly on Saturday and that's a 55 plus community in hyenas where they've got their holiday open house I'm telling you it's like strolls and and party on live love local is doing their huge thing uh looks like they're going to get a nice sunshiny day I'm grappling didn't know that so from end to end here on Cape Cod we are full of festivities confetti ra I right so I apologize to you if you think you're gonna come here and rain on our parade but listen the parade is end to end it's not ending no there will always be a party seriously we always will dance for our lives um oh Boston game chorus too that's that's another thing that's back perfect yeah it's called Uh this year is green and gleeful and it would be at Town Hall on Saturday from 8:00 to 10 p.m so get tickets if you're interested yep Kevin says happy Holly Foles from PV yay must be so nice if you saw outside it's better off being in a hidden bunker the jackhammering outside hopefully you can't hear it outside no you can't hear it but there they've decided today is the greatest day to do Street work well they did it last week too I don't know if they were working on all week it's like well it's unseasonably warm on Cape Cod so we're freezing morning and it was like 48 but when I went to go get our coffee thank you sir you're welcome oh losers for the protesters but if the shoe fits okay I I really I still can't wrap my brain around the fact that they're having protesters here today you know I fig figured that they they think that they'll be propelled into some sort of notoriety maybe because they've arrived here with all just playing in my head stupid is stupid does that's it and that's the only thing we're gonna say about it is come come with smiles come with heels come support it's a short life you got to make the best of it you know well speaking of short life let's jump into a little bit of our celebrity gossip that we've got going on because I saw Kelly Clarkson is finally getting her money back her like 2 point whatever million that what's his name Blake is that his name I don't even know ex-husband anyway he was her manager and he was like taking money from her managing her managing her work her well I'm just glad that she's ending 2023 in a better space absolutely she looks good she feels good she's getting the money that she's earned back from her ex East Coast right yeah we got to get tickets to go to her things are coming up roses for her I'm really liking that very much absolutely yeah I'm very happy for well it's about time because she was in the she was in the dumps a lot I'm sure she'll talk about that and maybe she'll make some good music out of it I'm waiting for more music Kelly well she just came out with the I know I haven't listened to the um whole thing ah okay so yeah you need to check it out um she got nominated I think for a couple Grammys this year look at that you know she's doing great well I heard the gr no are all of the award shows going to be earlier no I know that they said the nominations are out the Oscars are going to be early everything's earlier everything's starting at 700 p.m. now because they're begging Jamie L Curtis thank for you you're the one that was complaining about it I don't know if it's that or they're trying to capture a wider audience either way if you put that stuff on earlier I'll watch it well yeah I don't know I mean it's interesting because I'm not even California time though that's like 4M for those people they're not complaining about the earliness well depends on how hot it is yeah you know that's Fair cake melting sorry just saying so we've got that going on we've got holl notes there's a lot of litigation I we've been talking about it for like the last three days but I just saw an article that says they've got a court date November 30th a year a full year of this hollow notes drama we've got to deal with yeah two elderly men fighting over money wow that's weird I'm sorry I get it though should I be inappropriate you may always be inappropriate on my show you know you have to ask he wrote all the stuff I will say you know to give darl Hall credit he is an amazing artist writer yeah absolutely that's why he has his own show yeah Daryl's house I mean he has amazing people coming over to visit I mean John's sitting there with his thumb up his butt and wants to just no he's paying attention to me I guess I'll just sell away all of music rights well the thing is is like if he's gonna sell it away offer it to your partner yeah don't just give it just put it up for sale without even talking with him all right come on yeah I guess some something must have happen maybe some of that injection is in his cheek B either way it's a little grimy um and also we've got another first on our hands with the fact that they've moved Patriots footballs they were like we're gonna Flex this they've never in the NFL history have ever flexed moving a game that they could y off of Monday Night Football and everyone painful it's too painful to watch I don't know if it's too painful to watch or Bob Craft was like get that crap off Monday Night Football we're not going to be embarrassed overseas we need to go back into some more rehearsals we need to do another sits probe y'all yeah it's not it's not good for us either way they're sucking the floor it's so bad I keep trying to give them another chance and I watching I'm like no I gotta stop watching I know it's so bad so what does that mean because that's supposed to be a home game so now everybody's got to motivate and change your weekend plans to go watch a game in the rain no just well if it's in the rain that sucks but if it's not going to be in the rain well I don't know do you show up to the stadium and just have a nice big old cookout just tailgate I don't think cool I love the fact that they're just letting their hair hang out and whatever we're old we don't care we're going to start popping up in random cooking shows we'll show up on the side of the road and jam we got nothing better to do with our time I think this is the full F fruition also of just seeing people that are in the music industry which you know I hold you know near and dear to my heart that that are still thriving they're still around I mean Mick jaer they're Rolling Stones they're out touring I know he just did a set they did Rolling Stones did a set in New York a few weeks ago about no about a month ago um in a New York club like seven songs and then Lady Gaga came out because she's doing one of the songs with Mick Jagger you know blew the house down and he was still he was vibrant running around around it's just Dolly Parton and chair 77 years old the amount of garbage that she got you sent me a meme this week and I loved it it was like Dolly Parton in 77 1977 yeah and Dolly Parton now at 77 at 77 she didn't look much different either no she didn't she's fabulous she's a wonderful person great humanitarian uh Chelsea Handler posted something on Twitter talked about all the different things that that Dolly has achieved and how like all these people that are criticizing her wouldn't don't wouldn't achieve it in their entire life one of the things you know where this the criticism began though right no her own sister really her own sister told her to address her age and there was a huge story that came out after that that I thought somebody posed something her sister came to her defense no one of her sisters was threw her under the bus basically it's always it's ridiculous it's ridiculous isn't that the way though I feel like your family is your harshest critic sometimes yeah but you know put it all in perspective to be honest I mean she could do whatever the hell she wants oh Dolly does give no cares whatsoever rock stars on the Billboard charts have you seen Have you listened to the album 30 Songs amazing I will say that right now I she's number three I think on the billboard you listen to all of it I listened to all of it it was fantastic she does two songs with Steve Perry yeah I've heard those one of the journey ones she does stuff with um oh God uh she did the Linda Perry song with Linda Perry she's done stuff with Elon John just I love fact that when you and I were at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame the first time that we went to the induction ceremony where she promised she did not want to be nominated for this did not want this award uh accepted it graciously wrote a rock song that was kind of wonky but we were like okay it's cute but then vowed to really jump into learning and working with phenomenal rock musicians true because what the hell else are you going to do she's so badass uh I'll just do this and learn this new genre of music and I'll check that off my list I mean she did stuff with John Fogerty Leonard skinnard um Stevie Nicks she did a wonderful R rendition of Purple Rain yeah yeah Joan Jet right Joan Jet Kevin Cronin Debbie Harry she did Heart of Glass with her she did Stairway to Heaven featuring lizo and Sasha flute love it which was beautiful um Rob howford who was also inducted in her class Judi priest Simon the bond my blue tears she does a song with him then there did she did you're no good a Linda Ronan song with Emy L Harris and Cheryl Crow Lind Ron she did uh I forgot the name of the trio is Emily Harris Linda rosan and Dolly Parton they were they had a name I oh yeah their group name yeah the group name and I love the fact that they honored Linda by doing one of her songs on this album too uh Peter Frampton Mick Fleetwood just an amazing album I will say good for her I know so we love you Dolly absolutely you can play any music you want to play we don't care hey when when Dolly calls you that's right you're like yeah sure whatever I'll do whatever you want all right so Mark Cuban situation what do we think have you watched any of this no he's saying this is his last shark tank oh really he's selling off all of his rights to the Dallas Mavericks people are saying that they're he's vying a presidential run oh really he's cleaning up the house get your Cost Plus Pharmacy to get there out together because I still haven't gotten my prescription my God you put your name all over the freaking email tell them to get back to work and do your job thank you look at how serious you are but you're not wrong no I've been waiting over a week not only that I just saw that there was one conglomerate that's buying up another one in the insurance world to make this Mega insurance company what I thought we were doing better about this well yeah and you're getting into at a you know a benefit not benefit but you're getting a at a competitive or lower price it's which of course it's probably the real price or at least close to it instead of the pharmacies you the pharmaceutical companies just trying to bleed you well it was Signa and human are in talks right now for combination that would result in a new Powerhouse in the health insurance industry is that something that we need no I hate that right yeah can we just want to do better we need better yeah I want to talk about Christmas lights and Candy I feel like this is where I'm at right now and papa needs is diabetes Mr medicine because we want those Christmas trees if I die it's on your clock there my Cuban God totally I'm gonna blame C plus I've got a couple of shout outs to people that have events going on right now the spectacle of trees has moved into the guire art Barn in hyanis and it is right across from where love live locals Fest is going to be on Saturday so this tree spectacle of trees goes on for the next two weeks they've got events every single day you can go and buy a ticket and each one of the trees represents a different nonprofit I know we've got below the belt cancer I know we've got kaanis I think we've got the Marson Mills Library there's a few other youth organizations that are in there the trees are beautiful you get all of the gifts that are underneath the trees for your $10 donation uh so definitely go and support the trees take some photos and spread the love there with our spectacle of trees and uh Toys for Tots we are full on season I got a call yesterday from the Toys for Tots headquarters and the need is up 200% which means all these toys that are collected stay right here on Cape Cod for our Cape Cod youth and we're talking from babies to 18y olds so they always need the older kids stuff I think they always get lost in the shuffle so gift cards are great earbuds any sort of electronical things um gaming stuff gift cards for gaming stuff uh anything that you can think of drop off at a toys for tot's location like what kind of gaming stuff do you know um probably like I I'm not quite sure because is GameStop still a big thing I'm so out of it I don't know if GameStop is still a big thing I think that they they've got those bucks those everything's virtual dollar things now I think that there is a specific steam card I think is what it's called is it's called steam card that would be helpful especially if you want to buy stuff for for teenage teenage kids yeah you know because I'm out of the loop right so and it's not like you can just be like here kid have an iPhone I don't have a spare $1,500 that's when they get expensive right um even like shoes like Dick Sporting Goods we've got one in hyen so and if gift cards for sneakers and like no that's great fun stuff I know my kids are big shoe people so you know a nice pair of sneakers and you need one for every season if they were playing sports it's just a little things like that also giving out sneakers I know he does the backpacks yep he does the backpacks in the spring um I'm not sure what he's doing for for Christmas time right now but we partner with all kinds of organizations anybody that's out there that needs something and also if you're in need this season please reach out we have so many resources available whether it's food whether it's shelter whether it's toys whether it's you name it we've got resources available so please always lean on us and you can always send me an email or just even in the chat um privately you can reach out to me I understand this is like a season where people get yeah embarrassed and don't be um there was a gentleman him and his you know his family were displaced because of a a small fire um and he put something out loc yeah locally in provin town he put something out and you know he also reached out to me because I didn't see the post you know we talked and he talked to a bunch of different people and was able ble to figure out the best um the best um living situation or housing for him but it was the community that came together and that's one thing that we would like to encourage here all the time yeah that's awful we had a house fire um with in 2009 yeah and it was uh weeks before Christmas and we lost everything everything and I know exactly what that feels like to not only be displaced from your home but to lose all of your belongings and to have little people that are looking at you like are we going to be okay yeah exactly and you know I leaned on Toys for Tots that year because I need I needed to and it doesn't have to be as drastic as that I mean I know people are one income households I understand that it's either food or the electric bill sometimes and things have to be pushed beside the Wayside but you don't have to just suffer in silence or be too scared to ask absolutely so if it's if it's me if it's JT if it's rtb it's anyone that you talk to that has interacted with us on our shows that you feel like you're comfortable talking to Lauren from o places spaces we have so many wonderful people or in our community that you can just say hey I need help please do that yeah this is the time where I do like kind of like being Santa myself well absolutely because it does you know for me and for a lot of people just like you it's it it feels good to give and to help people out I think it's a big trigger this time of year people feel compelled to participate and yes I know there are so many exciting things and if you're it's you're not feeling good enough or you're not well enough to be around crowds we've had Sharing kindness on with us this past month just talking about those small little triggers and uh better way it's okay to say no yeah absolutely yeah there's a and there's there's that whole happy medium and trying to find the right wavelength so that you know you're not wallowing too much depression and putting yourself in the right area where you are safe and you're loved and you're having some kind of enjoyment or something that's helping lift you up but also knowing that there might be certain things like you said that might be triggers that you know to stay clear from you know it's hard finding that happy balance when you're when you're going through a tough time yeah well and that's why we're here talking about that today because yeah as exciting as every single stroll and Christmas light going on it's not always the most magical time of year for everyone and I want to be mindful of that side also because we do have places and people and things that we can set you up with so that you can function a little bit easier this time of year because it's stressful it is it is it it is but you know um things do get better and you know that's it we will rebuild my bank account at a later date yeah like oh my god really it's always this time of year or twoo where our kids are like I need I need and you're looking at the account you're like I got5 you get nothing for Christmas cuz you've gotten it all already you have everything you have all the things oh that's when spoiled these but but they volunteer you should have seen them last weekend oh my God I was listening to you talking about that that was fantastic it was really really nice to see them I mean they work will work for food um and they did but they really like held like helped with little kids and made sure people got what they needed to do and cleaned up afterwards and it was really nice to see them when they had to yeah show up and I'm like oh wait you do know how to be a good human well you're you're teaching what it feels like to be in service I think that's a very important thing um for parents to show or make their kids do yeah I I do too they so I applaud you for that I really do well they got to get out of their caves of Screams and I don't even know what he does in that gaming room in there I the late night screams and the swears I'm like who are you I'm banging on the wall stop talking to your friends like that oh my god oh yeah right the G The Gaming Community that goes on in there well I don't know did you were you weren't woken up by any of this gaming that was going in here no I told you I'm used to it I that's one of the reasons I woke up and I'm texting him like lower your volume please and I waited until I it is Holly Folly weekend and the activities are incredibly the list is way too long to go through I know that's why I just said go to ptown.org holidays or holiday and you'll see all of them there's so much to do yeah uh depending on what you're what you enjoy doing what else is going on with you that you want to share or talk about anything I'd like to talk about I was waiting for it this is how I felt yesterday I'm like I'm here I'm smiling but everything hurts and I can't live lift up my right arm but everything that I'm good and I hate people no yesterday you you and Hank were talking about comedians you talked about M mat R yeah and that was really cool and I do think that that's that's just true in terms of like you know I get his type of humor I get his type of Comedy um and it was true I mean I watched a a little real with Tom sagora who is another comedian that I really enjoy yeah Tom is really really funny kinly yes exactly I finally got to see him in concert and there was this one piece at the very end it's on Netflix now there's this one piece at the end when he um his mother finally tries because his father passed away his mother was he was hanging out with her and she finally tries a cannabis edible and it's not enough so she asked for another one and this and that so the whole thing he tells the story that's ensues I think I was the only one in my area that was almost crying I was laughing for hard they're like bring that guy up front we want up front what my grandmother was like you know acting like oh this is I can do this yeah right I'm a tough gal oh my God so anyway him and his buddy were talking about how like how much how he he's been working for for years but he's 27 and like within a year his just his Fame skyrocketed yeah you know and it's like that comes with a lot of a lot of Mind fields that you have to be very careful how to negotiate M was actually commending him on this guy who's 27 years old who's doing a really really respectful job at it and then way that he's dealing with people like yesterday he had another guy that was like you know starting with him online so of course a lot of comedians what they'll do is they'll do a little everything's on the internet so he looked up this guy yeah can we pause that for a second the amount of people that are keyboard Warriors yeah or telephone tough guys as we used to call them but nobody calls anybody anymore now they're keyboard Warriors who sit behind a face of anonymity oh yeah and rip people to shreds because because that is they nothing else to do yeah really yeah exactly so Matt R decided to go and do a little investigation we'll do a little Deep dive I know to used the interwebs and he went he went right for right where the heart was he found this guy's grandmother and DMD her and the guy found out and he got so pissed he's like I'm gonna go to Chicago I'm gonna go and and that was like fine he's like I'll give you two tickets bring your grandmother too and was just like he calls people on their crap it's like don't do that if you're and the thing about it is that whole um domestic violence joke that he did in the he did it in the beginning he did in the first few minutes like if somebody were to watch it and didn't know him that was their opportunity to just turn it off right if that's not your kind of comedy and he doesn't do the whole the whole show is not about that right and he was he was honest about did he did he talk about why he chose to begin that way was it to I think it was well part of it I think was just the type of comedy and how extreme and some well in some regards are different types of topics he'll talk about yeah and sometimes it's the way you know it's just that type of comedy and it's just like it's not against the person it's just it kind of flows that way I don't know um and again you know we we meaning people my age grew up in a time with Norman leer and All in the Family and The Jeffersons and and a lot of stuff that was talked about or touched about that was done in a comedic way and a dramatic way that we know is not true that's not the way we're supposed to behave but these characters are based to put it in your face to they're like this is wrong this is not how we were supposed to behave but there is a comedy component to it good morning Rebecca what do you say to a girl with two black eyes is that what is that what the joke was I don't know is that how he started probably was I have it's been a while to watch again is that how it started he Le the first time good morning Shandy good morning Susan I love you so much Susan stopped by my music Bingo this week she's adorable and I was so happy to at least connect give you a big hug smell your incense she's got this aura about her oh yeah oh nothing you already told her twice is that how it opened prob was I think it is boyfriend girlfriend oh my God that's awful and we're laughing all right but that's it that's the kind of humor I have sometimes I was raised on inappropriate humor you know there you go yeah my grandfather was the king of inappropriate jokes and you know some of it is you know not for that particularly but for some some comedians a lot of their stuff is based on some real life tragedies yeah you know so if you've grown up with Family Violence you kind of have to make light of it in order to well that's how that's their therapy that's why they're comedians I feel like comedy and we've talked about it it's grimy it's dirty it's like the underbelly it's the trying to satire use satire to talk about your trauma there have been so many I won't say so many but there's one that comes in particular to mind but I know a lot of comedians that are they are fantastic uh dramatic actors that have done amazing work Rob Williams yeah um Jim Carrey I I don't you seen I saw him doing time on mbery drive it was a TV movie and it was really empowering um his performance oh I love you Susan she's like it was so fun everyone needs to come to music bingo I agree thank you music Bingo is so much fun Antoine kiss your wife for me love you guys so it's Holly Folly weekend rich and I are getting ready for a fun weekend full of festivities you've got like the conveyor belt of people checking in on you yeah do you find when you've got a prime location for a home that everyone's like we'll come and visit we'll come and visit know you know know even though it's you know I have I have room it's a really nice Hub and there are you know um I think when you when you are able to assess a situation you know you want to make sure that you have the right people that you're coming that you're inviting Rich has like a very eclectic collection of humans and I I love it yeah cuz you spent two hours just hanging out with Cliff while Taylor and I were driving so I got here early yesterday and I'm s you know I've met Cliff before but not my Cliff a different Cliff which was also odd for me because it's not a regular household name it's not a Tom Dick or Harry um so I'm having this conversation and we talked before I looked up and you were walking in the door for two hours yep so it's nice that you have friends that all kind of can interact with each other and get along ex and are interested in have interest interesting lives and um work that they do or things that they've done places they've traveled he was love he was loving hearing about you know your your travels with your family you guys travel it was great yeah and I was I was happy to give him the opportunity to fly across you know rather than have to drive all around because he comes all the way up from Maine um so I said hey Park and Bo park over at Logan Airport and let's fly you over very cool so yeah it was 15 minute 20 minute um flight and then he could get here and relax well we were gabbing about well he has been to Turkey where my j1's had were from okay and then also he was in the it sector so he ended up visiting India yes and so like we were just going back been there twice yeah so we were just kind of pushing around the places that we wanted to go and what was our favorite so it was like really fun to talk about some odd experiences about possibly well and you've traveled also I feel like that's definitely on a lot of people's bucket list for 2024 is to get in a little bit more travel that's what I'm looking for yeah happy December 1st to you Dave hagner happy December birthdays we're going to have birthday club coming up in just a little bit if you don't know what it is I've got to thank Brenda's cakes for All Occasions she gives out either a full-size cake or six cupcakes or we at lemon Ado give away a gift card every single month depending on your location of where you are because I started this last December I know because my birthday is the day after Christmas and it's a crappy birthday because no one wants to do anything my NE day too it it's like I've partied all the party I don't want to have any more of the things and I'm like but wait it's me and everyone's like I'm tired I'm sick I can't do this my my sugars are through the roof I'm gain 10 pounds you have no idea the excuses I get when it's coming time to celebrate my birthday and every single year my husband says let's celebrate it in July and then no one remembers me then either they busy I know know so I I mean you do that with relatives or chosen family you wouldn't do it with everybody right so I had started birthday club for the moms or the people that kind of get forgotten when it comes time for birthday time that's great and we have a winner every single month so we'll pick our new winner for November and then we'll uh start birthday club for December so my December fellow babies out there know it's our month it's time to shine I'll celebrate you all month long and next month do cuz we always get the shaft and not in a good way was waiting see that's the problem when I'm on the air with you I'm like whoa what see now yours is three days after mine so you feel my pain yeah it's like that not exactly New Year's it's the day after New Year's too world's worth worst birthday it's just not great so I'm G to take a moment all right and I'm going to get get ready for our big celebrations today because we got a lot we do but we're going to get fueled up have a good breakfast after we finish here yes and uh enjoy the rest of the weekend yeah what is everybody doing what's on the docket this weekend or maybe you're avoiding people it's okay too I know because if I wasn't here I know what I would be I would be making Christmas cookies oh yeah I've got a bunch that I really would like to make this year so we'll see if it happens I didn't last year well I've got a one of my girlfriends who summmer is in Italy every single year with her family they're all from um an area in Sicily she is like the queen Baker of Italian Christmas cookies I make and I've made them a couple times but the three layer oo yum the apricot in the middle yum covers and roaded with dark chocolate they're good but they're a lot of work well I'm looking forward to sitting with Judith on where we are scheduled for Sunday afternoon little we'll see if it occurs just going to help yeah well we're going to tape it for and then we're going to release it afterwards with recipes so I mean this has been in the works for years of trying to put this together and I'm really excited to see if this comes to fruition this year maybe she was like this year we're gonna do it she's like I'm ready good just because I I want to know a lot of her cookie recipes because they're really intricate Y and I'm not a finesse Baker by any means and baking is a science I had this conversation with clip yesterday when we were talking about cooking and he said I'm uncomfortable with cooking he's now retired and not my Cliff um exactly he's now retired and he says that I've never cooked before so I'm learning these things so before I have people over for dinner I'm precooking the meal because I want to make sure that it's good enough to serve to people and I said I'm just not used to that the man who spent all his money on this induction cooking outfit isn't this insane it was funny because he I mean I went over I went to visit him a couple years ago he made me breakfast it was great but I know he's talking about something more much more complex right exactly more Gourmet more Elevated Cuisine it's it you know even if you kind of do it haphazardly as long as you're following the recipe for cooking it's fine baking it is an exact same this is exactly the conversation that we had had I said you can give me five ingredients and I will make something good out of it because cooking is just like f around and find out where baking is no no no we are very particular this is a science experiment it took me years well decades as an adult to finally figure out and find the right recipe there's these um uh hazelnut macaroon kind of things that are German you had me at hazelnut I'm good it's got the very thin type wafer it looks like a community wafer actually um that's exactly what it is and you put that on on the on the sheet and then D dabble the mering with the hazelnut is so good decadent yeah anything with chocolate and the thing is you've got to make Bates of them because they go fast oh yeah Sue you've got a fundraiser and Brewster with your grandson Diana good morning I wish I could have listened to you I love your mustache oh thank you you can rewatch us all the girlfriend's like I don't know why but every time I'm like you're driving through sandwich there's no signal there that's why like I think people still forget that there is a Wi-Fi component to their phones sometimes so yeah that was what she was suffering from Highfield this morning Margie have so much fun over at Highfield it looks absolutely beautiful over there as it does every single year definitely you need to go to one of the celebrations over there okay on high field Hall yeah it's very beautiful yeah well one of the things that you know when I first you know bought the place here a college of mine she was asking me what I was doing for our intercession where I work at a university we're off from Christmas to New Year's and I said yeah I'm going to head over to the house the day after Christmas and she says well she said when you get off the Sagamore go on 6a you know especially if you're going to go late in the afternoon or at night because you know you get to see all the holiday decorations it's a quintessential New England drive it is a must if you've never done it before yeah and it's it's very just tranquil Serene it's nice you don't have to R Rush um that's one of the things I love about Cape conon R driving around yeah yep so get on the get on the by roads take it slow and have a great weekend yes please do all right well that's gonna wrap things up for us
