freaking scribbles on that um it is so different vote to somewhere and then drink it's just the same day that's such a great area relax ation hi I understand that chilling having a Miami Vice for breakfast not about what when did this happen whose Grand idea was it to have Miami Vices in here machines over there and I was like what's in there and then there were no words no one even said what it was it was just we're pouring this and then like put it down on the counter and said now you're on vacation so I said yes please I'd like to be on vacation happy Sunday Funday to you friends hope you had a fun weekend uh we are here at 13 Lake Ave knock about and it is a special Sunday Monday that we are raising money for the boys and girls club we've had some Rising costs this summer with the cost of AC even though today yeah it's whatever storm world did last night I said yes please and thank you because it was getting oppressive and I don't like to complain because we have the weather here for just short amounts it doesn't happen very long so I was really excited to have that happen and now it's manageable but it hasn't been very manageable I had uh the entire kitchen sink in my house this morning it was very fun my mother-in-law is in town with uh her brother or their friends so all of a sudden they were very excited to spend some time at the Market Basket good morning Sam how are you I was in p-town on Friday night for a friend of ours birthday and it was a sideshow and when I say Sideshow I really mean a sideshow they had jugular errors they had acrobatics acts they had drag queens from near and far Jackie was running around with some sort of trombone it was it was a show so there's never a dull moment when I had to Provincetown yes it is always a side show there and I so appreciate that it was a blast so I get to go to the Red Inn on Friday with a couple of friends and uh just taking a little bit of uh family weekend a little bit crazy but definitely Good Vibes all the way around so that was my Friday I went and saw the movie yesterday my daughter sprained her ankle so she's been walking around like a Crutchfield at 17 years old so I feel really bad for well it's been a black and blue ankle good morning Joanna I know I wish that uh I know that you went to a cannabis dinner that I was invited to and that was I've never invited to things because I'm always working where I can't participate in them and I got invited to two really cool events on Fridays they were absolutely at opposite ends of the Cape is what it promised down so I went with my first invitation I got to hang out with my friend Susan so that was really fun to spend a little off time and enjoy where I live for once I was supposed to be on vacation this week that's just not gonna happen so I'm gonna take it easy this week but I will be around you will see my face so you're stuck with me we are here at about some money for the boys because it has been a bit more expensive this summer for fuel and also AC so it's some of those costs need to be different somewhere because it is a complete non-profit and it's for the kids hi Mary she said my family and I have amazing boys and girls because I'm in Tustin California for many years it allows a safe space for me to send the kids oh I'm really sorry well that's a bummer well I'm sorry that that's working the way it is in your neck of the woods and I would definitely reach out to the local chapter of boys and girls club and see if you can kind of cost if you're on the case no one gets turned away and uh we always really come together as a community to make sure that that money goes and it's for the kids and every ounce really does go for the kids and no one has ever occurred away or is not put in a safe space so yeah our community here on the cave definitely may not allow that to happen and so Mary reach out to your local chapters if you want me to check into it hi guys how are you c-clip and get a ticket to support the Boys and Girls Club he's over there by the barn wow so I will happily do a little digging on your behalf Mary and rectify that situation because a lot of times it's just a misunderstanding or maybe it's just underfunded and if we can help get that funded a little bit better we're really blessed here on the game to have so many people that are wonderful uh supporting even people that don't even live here on vacation right now or buying to support the boys and girls who up here because we have so many wonderful programs over there my son told us to Boys and Girls Club on Friday nights she loves it it's a great space of a community gets to play basketball he gets to hang out with his friends and I know where he is and that he's getting a nice home you know on a Friday night and he's not out with pumps Roman streets do a dumb stuff because teenagers tend to fall into that attractive and the boys and girls club here to make sure that that doesn't happen it gives them gives them like a really fun community and the people that have been working there have been working there for so long I mean their programs manager is absolutely phenomenal and he's been there for almost 20 years that says something when you love your job and you love the kids and the kids love you and I continue to want to come and know that that's a safe space so uh we love our boys and girls club so we're here supporting them today hi Jackie you look gorgeous today um so he's at the after school IPA that you can buy and we've also got a um I think that there's summer camps outside of us over there and knock about is so fantastic in ours and the staff here are so supportive of so many local nonprofits and they really do just charge at cost for the beer and everything else goes to your non-profit so they're pretty incredible people um so yeah I hope you guys had a great weekend I got to see the Barbie movie I laughed out loud and I have to tell you that my husband Cliff is an arthritic he falls asleep and any small bit of motion any anything where there's dim lights and was active entire time and I was absolutely blown away that it was keeping his intentions um chef's kiss to the fabulousness for Greta Gerwig and putting this fabulous movie together because I didn't know I was gonna really enjoy it the way I did so we are here Sunday we are wrapping up this stuff like it's wild to me that tomorrow is August and we are kicking off the final month around here uh people kids are going back to school in the next couple of weeks and things are going to start to wind down and uh it's it's too fast for me as far as I'm concerned with this community I'm like in this race today Sam is in the Provincetown area she's still looking for places to live speaking of things that we need to address I know that um we have I have a few of my friends right now that are kind of being pushed out of their year-round rentals and um that needs to be addressed with our housing situation so anybody please reach out and look if you see people on social media and just keep asking forward the requests for housing maybe we'll be able to house more people be around that we actually need to continue the work and live here because I know so many people complaining about how we don't have enough staff and we don't have enough keep working we're out there it's just you need to be connected with the right people and so you've got to ask and continue to do so we've got Abby back behind the bar today she is uh I think this might be your last shift before she's off to to Greece with her girlfriends I think that uh this place is such a magical spot I'm talking about this and everybody that works here kind of has this is their little side hustle and then they do other creative endeavors teachers a lot of Artisans a lot of makers we've got another Maker's Market that is happening here the 13th of August and if you're a local crafter or somebody that just is doing something you've got a baby business and you've never done a pop-up or you've never done a sort of artisan market and you want a space to try it out comfortably where you're not going to feel stressed it's not going to cost you market for you right now for this summer since we just started it we're not charging anybody any money to do this it's just kind of try it out see if it works for you and uh we're pretty good about scheduling where people are and we're not stepping on toes like holding the laundry room of one person doing exactly one thing you're doing just so that it maximizes everybody's face and time here because that's just really important to feel comfortable because it's your crap it's your art it's your business and I think that everybody needs a chance to kind of showcase that so that's what we're all about here um like I said we'll be here until two o'clock and we've got the after school IPA we've got the summer camp and we are raising money for the boys maybe you've got a business and you want to donate some gift cards maybe you want to donate um some sort of golf at some other place or maybe you've got a condo or something that you're not going to be able to use or a time share please donate to the Boys and Girls Club it's a nice tax write-off for you and then we get to raffle it off and make some money for the kids so we're looking for creative ways to get involved in the community and help our kids out so maybe you're that person we want you so for everybody here at knock about I'm gonna go and enjoy my Miami Vice and make some money for the boys and girls club with ourseltzer or our IPA thank you so much have a great weekend enjoy the weather out there today because it is a perfect summer day here on Kpop unless you're
