weekend I went to Boston two times like I said yeah you so complaining trying to get off Cape first of all how's the traffic it was oh yesterday it was bad it was so bad it was bad it was real bad oh I knew it was happening although yeah my GPS just decided it wasn't working oh so it was like oh you could you'll be over there in 15 minutes I put it into my GPS we're using Google no please no because I always use it to avoid the traffic and to find out where the police are duh duh that's why we use it I did that this morning on the way here I put ways on because I like to give you an ETA and see how far off my ETA is right or can we beat it yes oh yeah it's a total competition um and then you know it tells you where the cops are and they're always in those little pull-offs between if you know of course you know Cape Cod because you're listening to this radio station but not necessarily okay um there we have the little pull-offs for the cops between the highways that are going the opposite directions yeah in the woods um and I really appreciated ways this morning because he didn't have his lights on he was just chilling in there with his car running but all his lights were off so I appreciated the fact that somebody was telling me he was there or I probably would have gotten pulled over going 70. right thank you very much whoever you were good citizen and then yes and then you feel obligated to press the still there button he's still there he's still there you drove to Long Island on Friday night why who's that I'm Justin Justin why did you drive to Long Island on Friday night just cause I gotta be visiting family or something no he doesn't have family there I know Justin oh you don't have family there do I know it doesn't have my Manchester I don't think so beer so the um Pete and Meg are fabulous and they're gonna donate the cost of the beer to our Rockford amazing so thank you thank you so much we really appreciate it but we're gonna have several raffle items and one of them is win a date with Greg Hiller so I mean Cape cod's most eligible bachelor I really definitely think that I mean just going up is a really good time have I told you the story about my co-worker I don't think so it's about Greg Greg they're probably gonna be hearing this for the first time so I haven't you don't know about you yeah so I've been I've been working with um this one Danny for years she works at Barnesville Police Department and she and I have been working at Jay's crew technically I'm her boss but she's been at the company for like 20 years and I'm just like whatever you feel like doing tonight do it don't do it I don't care so what she and I are pretty close now so one week she comes in and she says hey have you ever met this guy Greg and I said are you talking about Greg Heller and she goes yeah you guys are very funny and I was like thank you yes we do know each other yeah we both work for the station and it cracked me up that she was like you are the same and you're the same and you guys should be friends and I was like yeah we are don't worry about it there you go I love it come on Greg for the children be the auction item like lies I'll pass he's not happy with me this morning you're already locked in I need to break into you yeah I think you're already in there I think Gene is already making the raffle item you're in a gift basket already you can't take it backsies good morning mag and Don thank you for checking in on the west coast has it stopped raining over there yet the town next door to her is like fell into the ocean I'm not even kidding you it's like so much rain there that's crazy they don't even know what to do with it the mountain area has gotten and California has gotten more snow than anybody I was just the mountain that I was skiing at in February closed because they had so much snow it was burying the chairlift like the chairlift that hang super high was buried in snow that's crazy over 50 almost 60 feet of snow but not here on the East Coast we're not we're not having that same situation no but I will say I was just up there this weekend ski conditions are pretty good I think we're gonna have a few more weeks left a lot of places I know I'm the one girl that's like please don't bring me Spring no you're not alone because my cousin to Vermont specifically for that purpose and she wants to keep winter as long as possible just prolong mud season really yeah it really is an awful time uh so you had your 14th birthday celebration over the weekend I know they just keep going I think we're done now okay good you had two cakes I have two cakes I love that cheesecake for breakfast it's like sounding fabulous to me it was so good yeah cheesecake and coffee um yeah it was good my parent my um my dad and my older brother threw me a big party with all of our friends up in Maine it was really wicked fun Dave heckner said places over there are staying open till July for skiing yeah it's crazy well if you like to ski there's lots of options here for you so I have no vacation planned in June and part of me is like stop rubbing it in I probably won't have a vacation until August this is like the 20th year of our marriage so I like I we had all these like small celebrations stacked into the year and like none of them have happened so here we are like a quarter of the Year done and I'm like we haven't done anything yet but we did go to our first Bruins game over the weekend that was super yeah that is super cool and we were so spoiled I could never go to another one but it was really an incredible experience being in the NBC box with all the snacks like how did you how my claw and sitting there with a quesadilla so cool having my own personal bathroom oh my God that right there is the money it really was so long but you don't have to either wait 45 minutes in the women's line or just walk past all the dudes and be like sorry I'm just gonna go in here because you guys are faster in the dude's line yeah it was really that was really the highlight of the game yeah the private bathroom yeah absolutely at the Garden yes it was so that was incredible go week so I was gonna like this is I'm starting fresh today we're moving on with our days spring cleaning National cleaning week what is your most hated household chore everything all of it all the above fun it's always a closet switch that's a lot because I bring out my summer stuff but the truly the chore that I refuse to do and I've started plenty of arguments with this I will not do the dishes I have like a sensory problem like they can go from my hand into the dishwasher but once a dish with food on it crumbs whatever hits a sink and has water on it your girl is out you're not touching no like I once I will immediately wash a pot I've like had enough exposure to that while I will figure that out because I'm not a total degenerate human but other than that I like a dish of sink full of dishes I will have a full-on breakdown I don't know what it really is like that also and it makes me laugh because she has Dish gloves yeah she'll like glove up to like yes when she looks like she's going into the Discovery Channel up like a veterinarian situation yeah and I want to like wear like a hat seriously totally seriously you don't need gloves up that high so what you do and then and I have like a sweatshirt that like it's this way it immediately gets washed afterwards that's what it is it's a sensory thing good morning Mari good morning Don it's a total sensory thing and it's such a snot people just assume I'm a princess because I don't do the dishes and I'm like no no I have like it's the same as I'm like hearing people chew like my insides just rage that number just came out there was a statistic that 68 of people have misophonia where they cannot hear people chew if like the number is risen and I don't know why it's a large part of that oh my husband has the TV on 87 when anyone's eating it's like immediately up or he's got like 17 episodes of The Office ready to Rifle off on his phone at full blast loudness because he will not listen to people or if we're if I'm riding the car with somebody and they're snacking in the car I have to put headphones in oh I I know Lily yelled at me the other day to get rid of my gum and then that made felt made me compelled to chew louder and I'm such a jerk I'm like listen here and you're 16 years of life if you're gonna hear your mother snap a little bit of bubble gum you're gonna deal with that nope and she was like raging yeah it's an absolute nails and a chalkboard I can't do it good morning Sarah thank you for joining us this morning yeah so it's National cleaning week while I be cleaning I have to but I don't want to yeah what what chore do you can you not stay at laundry I just hate it oh laundry I don't mind doing I I'm like I will I will gladly do eight loads of laundry if I don't have to do the dishes I think it's just because it's a such a process it takes so long like I don't have time to wait for it oh I think it's fast throw it in and then you sit forever and then you sit forever like I'm get in get out be done with this task so if I have to sit there and like wait for a prop anything involving a process Stephanie is not good at because when I must drop the amount of energy to get [ __ ] done I want it done I don't want it over with and I don't want it to sit there and I don't just no I'll just wait I just like that it's clean although I will say like I'll just wait switching no wonder or doing the laundry when it's your older brother's starting socks not ideal yeah well exactly I got gross humans that I share space with yeah but you made those humans obviously but I didn't make them gross okay I've worked on their ability they'll do things for themselves yeah break their laundry better he's working on it but you know like is there one in particular of course it is the teenage boy maybe they just stink no matter what I mean he's finally aware of said stink Boys in general now he's kind of being bitter about it but like it took a while for me to be like smell that and then he's like boys in general stink it's fascinating that the women female population we just deal with it yeah yeah Sarah says cooking for her good morning Jim yeah I just the laundry for me just takes forever I don't mind cooking because I feel like I'm creating something and it's probably gonna be yummy so I mean we know how I feel about this I say this maybe every other week I can't cook no not at all no and just that's my requirement for setting me up on a date make sure that he can cook or else I'm gonna starve my whole life that's it an idiot's guide to spring cleaning do when you does start at the top and work down don't try and see oh you know what I'm saying start at the bottom start at the bottom and then by the time you get to the top yeah thank you and then we get to the top and you dislodge all the dust and then it's all the way back through that feels like Common Sense yeah but um there's no common sense when you're dealing with teens oh I would just just to get them to dust in general that's like a yearly occurrence and that's if I beg then they complain and I'm allergic to dust so I hate that [ __ ] too bleach I'm allergic to bleach really super weird like I can smile smell it from a mile away oh yeah and uh and it immediately makes me gag and puke yeah like a complete in Auto reaction so all anytime that I clean my bathroom it's all with like organic products I don't have bleach in them because I can't or if or if an area is cleaned with bleach I cannot go in the room for like two and a half hours without puking oh well then stay away from Lily because she's the queen of bleach I get it everywhere I love the concept of everything being killed and being clean but I I it is like Absolute Auto puke weird I just don't that's another one of those words that gives me sensory issues sorry is there another word now um throw up like that's honestly the only one that I can stomach throw up okay it makes whatever either way you get the deal good morning Jen thank you so much for joining us we're talking about because it's spring cleaning week the chores that we like the least the garage I hate cleaning out the garage there's just years and years and years and years I've been really like making a conscious effort to stay on top of the garage problems because that's also our laundry area and it tends to be what I call the [ __ ] pit where my children just open up the door and throw it out there yeah like it doesn't matter what it is if it's broken if it's a box if it's dirty yeah if it's whatever it's like line of fire throw it in the garage there was one point last week where we were in the process of taking our ski stuff we were on a trip my dad and I were on a trip so that we had to bring it back and put it away so the ski stuff was in the garage but we didn't have enough room and we never really put the sailing stuff away properly so the ski stuff was on top of the sailing stuff and I was like this is just kidding I get it we have racks out there now so now at least it's like stackable and I can like compartment see the theories of the organizational techniques below all the crap yeah that we've just now buried yep that's the way it is yeah pretty standard I saw that Reese Witherspoon's getting a divorce I'm kind of surprised at this yeah well their relationship began in a tumultuous fashion because the two of them just before I was born because I don't remember this I don't really matter foreign well they were married 12 years I still remember her with the other one there the one that both of our kids look like um oh so this is her second husband yes oh I don't really know Reese whether it's Ryan Phillippe yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah so they have a boy and a girl together and one looks like her and one looks like him yes that's right okay I know it's kind of really weird and then she's got another child with Jim Toth so when the first when they first got together there there was like they both got a DUI like they were like screaming raging like drunk fighting on the side of a highway well they figured I was like this isn't Gonna Last but magically it lasted 12 years old yeah right before their 12th anniversary they announced the difficult decision to split so yeah I wasn't expecting that but she she's just one of those people that is so incredibly smart talented so many great things talented and Brilliant too she started a book club then she was reading these books realizing how good of a movie and shows they would be so then she started to do it to make up producing them and has created an entire market for it what isn't she a producer or um so many things yeah so many movies yeah family shows she's got her own clothing was a big one which is so good um speaking of books turning into shows and movies Daisy Jones the sex so good so good and I did not realize the actor that plays Billy Dune and it was I just watched the finale last night which by the way had me in tears sobbing at the end of it um but I didn't realize until the last episode the guy who plays Billy Dune is who is my crush in that ciao despite how toxic his character is um it is my crush in like everything else he's been in and I didn't know it was the same human at all oh because of like the way he was costumed or the way I don't know it did not it did not click to me but when I saw is IMDb I'm like oh my God you were my crush in all of these movies so technically I just keep seeing you and keep falling in love with you and don't realize it's the same person good morning Ryan and good morning Tara Tara we went to high school together but thank you for joining us I love that um I absolutely love that show I fell into it I I wanted to watch it it was on my things to watch and then I forgot it was out we get busy in life and all of a sudden I was like oh there are six or seven episodes and I'm like all right so I jumped in and I watched them skip sleep that night yeah because I just got so invested in the show and then I had to wait a whole week for the last two episodes is just incredible yeah I mean is is amazing impressive yeah so I read look so there's definitely some areas that um differentiate somebody said that they did this green play was I mean the the writing for the TV show actually made it better yes I think there was a more character development in the show especially for the side characters and there wasn't a book um I think Daisy was portrayed a little bit different she was more of a hot mess in the show than she was in the book okay um but it worked and I think it did really well and who's the girl that played Camilla because she was just I think one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen in my life I don't know she is stunning in her acting ability is just I think the cast is just someone yeah they did a really good job casting it so if you've not seen it and you're sleeping on it go watch it it's so good the costumes of sex get sucked in the Cinematic uh Artistry of it really pulls you into that decade it's the oh my God it's incredible Rachel thank you so much Rachel was from adequate Acres yesterday and came and did the make and take she and her mom run um and uh they're going to be opening May 8th and so she did these like potted impatience oh my God all these cute little stickers and it was just such a really nice day the Sun was shining it was nice to actually feel like a spring day I feel like it was the first time it felt super spring-like and we were outside and putting our hands in some dirt so thank you Rachel for organizing that you did such a fabulous job spring is coming how many weeks of spring do we have before it's summer sweet more we got more time yeah and make sure you stop today and uh this evening rather and look up at the sky if you have an opportunity because we have a Celestial happening we do yeah it's a rare alignment where you can see every single one of the planets it's like murky oh I love that as far as Jupiter and Uranus and then the Crescent Moon so I saw it last night and I was like wow it's like what are you doing in the driveway like a weirdo and I'm like I was eating a cannoli looking at the sky yeah leave me alone I love that I really was because I didn't want to get powdered sugar all over my car yeah so it took all I had in me to drive home with that cannoli box next to me with the new Kia car you're like I just don't want to ruin it with this powdered sugar but I really want my cannoli gets out of the driveway this is close enough this is as far as I can make I did I got the driveway and I thought when I was looking up at the sky and I'm like well the goodest time has ever I love that eat that by myself cannolis and some Stars wow what a combo I know it's like a date night with myself at 11 PM last night we had a really good time so yeah it was a late night for me but it was also nice I reconnected with a friend I've not had a chance to spend a lot of time with we love that and like we yeah we just like worked it was like how's this one how's this one how's this one this family member this one it was nice to to chit chat and have a good moment so I had a lot of friend time this weekend and I feel like I I desperately needed it yeah because I've been so stressed with like business and yeah work and the fam and uh it was just really nice to reconnect with some friends this weekend do something different get a little bit of more energy yeah entertain your life yeah I need I needed some some Gathering of strength that's awesome yeah definitely needed to happen I saw well Sylvester Stallone saying he's gonna take up painting again like doing something helpful for your mental health oh painting art in general I I was like what is there anything Sylvester Stallone can't do I just watched his name doesn't mean he can paint well yeah we're not even saying that I'm just saying the man has maintained a certain level of Fitness a certain level of he's the man is sophisticated right I don't know what I read this song it's human he's almost 80 years old and looks fantastic yeah it's impressive yes that's totally impressive I'm gonna look like a cannoli by the time I'm 80 and that's fine I've accepted that that's cool good morning Mary Jane great to be an advocate for mental health somebody who has big games that we're branching and uh Lil is going to be starting her own little side business I know traveling tea parties which I'm really oh my gosh I know well she likes dressing up and she's like I'll always like she's just an internal fairy herself so that makes perfect she really is so she's gonna be doing like a little ethereal Victorian Tea cute uh she's ridiculous we are that's it I was like well then we'll make it a business so amazing I definitely want to um talk to you about having a tea party over in the uh at adequate Acres Rachels well she does fun stuff in the Summer she has a goddesses Gatherings and you know just meditations and some other I'm getting involved yeah you know sounds right up my alley yeah for sure I mean we definitely need to take care of our mental health a lot better than we have Ben and I feel like spring is definitely a Rejuvenation period yeah so why not start now a little bit of you know get rid of that seasonal depression and and prep foreign just like misery yeah yeah I think you know it's an intro it was an interesting year because we went from completely shut down in covid to having like half a winter of shutdown to last year I think everybody went crazy and everybody was doing everything regardless and this year it's leveled out a little bit Yeah and people didn't really know what to do like am I in am I out how do I handle this and the the regularity of seasonal oppression I think set in where we haven't really had like a normal winter yeah in the last three or four years to to really remember what that's like we just blamed Gigi hadid's inspired sauce to the UK who what Juju hadid's inspired sauce she has a sauce is this different than the Olivia Wilde salad dressing we're talking about two different things okay why is that where my brain went I don't know right though how many celebrities can have so many different condiments Okay so we've got Heinz best known for their ketchup absolute best known for its flavored vodka and this could be absolutely changing in the near future uh the two companies have formed an unlikely partnership that will knock the UK socks off okay we're not even getting in the U.S why are we talking about this I don't know it's a weird sauce and I don't know why JiJi Hadid was inspired sauce it's a tomato vodka sauce that sounds tomato vodka sauce so I know when I was over in the UK they have a lot of sauces that aren't regular like they have brown sauce and they've got a few other songs if it's not barbecue I don't want it any kind of barbecue regular barbecue Smoky Barbecue gold barbecue that's my genre I only is good honey mustard right on such a plain Jane when it comes to that stuff my sister is that person that has to have 45 sauces on things and then starts mixing and making like a whole like situation out of it haven't you ever had like really good fries with the garlic aioli parmesan fries I mean it's okay April 14th I didn't even take it or leave it I'm not a sauce person I don't I don't you can just leave garlic aioli maybe I'm Bland maybe you haven't had the right aioli somebody somebody out there has gotta I do like aioli I've had good ones before it really depends I've never had a sauce that I was like wow that just really made it I've never had a little like a good salsa mistake it depends you're a freak it's not my problem I'm kind of one of those people that isn't as is human I don't need all of those things and concoctions and 47 sausages concoctions it's it's a it's a flavorful extra I I pour a potion on your food to eat it why are you bothering it is not oh this argument are just horror of this human Sue all of the sauces yeah thank you sue on my on my side I don't know why I just I'm not one of those people and it makes me laugh my sister was regaling me with the tale of her she my she's very funny and she was traveling over the weekend so of course she's the one that gets picked to like oh we're gonna swab all of this whatever and they take a part of her stuff yep and they put it all back together well my sister was vacationing somewhere and talking about her luggage uh yes okay so she they opened up one of her sauce things because she travels with all kinds of things and then buys different kinds of okay rubs and spices and all kinds of levels of Obsession yes I'm not quite at that level but um I respect it yeah so this is in her luggage where one of them came open so she had a brand new luggage and then she's like I immediately had to dump my luggage in the tub because it was just covered in whatever seasoning spice thing that they opened up accidentally with stupid TSA going through all of her stuff well it made me laugh that they were drug testing your seasoned salt did you see the story that TSA has come out and reminded people that peanut butter is a liquid and therefore cannot be brought us to carry-on but is it though yes it takes shape oh it's container that makes the liquid is that what the the rubric is or what is a liquid yes no no I saw that because I saw someone say what it like please explain to me how this is a liquid considered a gel like you can't it was the same thing with like lotion you're like is this a is it a liquid is it a gel it doesn't matter it still takes the shape of its container so you can't bring it more than enough so we've gotten better haven't we had a better detection situation that we can just bring our [ __ ] if you're telling me I can't bring peanut butter on the plane but you can guarantee or significantly minimize the risk of somebody hiding something in peanut butter on the plane and potentially blowing it up then fine I don't need to bring my peanut butter I'll see well yeah I'm not traveling with peanut butter 279 get a new drawer when you get home yeah and also you're on a plane with 200 people what are the likelihood of someone not having an allergy very slim for that flight so and you don't want to pay another 279 how much put it in a sandwich they would let you on oh my God that's such a good point no no it's uh it's the size of it but if you made a sandwich that you had a sandwich in your bag yes but then the sandwich goes into Ziploc bag and it contains the amount of liquid that you're bringing into onto the plane if it's a if it's a small amount they're not saying you can't bring peanut butter they're saying you can't bring a jar of it because the jar itself is too many yeah I don't know too many people that are traveling with jars of peanut butter but if you do that's weird if you have little kids maybe well once again just make your sandwiches yeah you're gonna have to suck it up it's gonna get a little soft yeah or there's um there's a little like pretzel dipping stick snack sections you could probably bring a couple of those you know just smaller amounts just don't bring the whole damn jar spring for a new one when you get there or when you go there you go you're welcome Tori says jiffy's three bucks get it get it going yep um what else did I want to talk about today I'm like very brain dead I don't know we should tell people that we have a new episode coming out later we do yeah we have to actually I have to clean that up and get that ready the first shop Morning Show Tori and I get together every two uh Monday Wednesday and Friday and uh we talk about pop culture talk about coffee yeah talk about our trolls it's always in my life for them yeah right um yeah trying to think what we do look yeah pop culture stuff today yeah went into a deep dive on Harry Styles today well and just in case you missed it he was making out with Emily emirata um yeah so you hear my opinion on that um yeah it's just the unhinged version of this also we have the weekly horoscopes oh yeah definitely worth that Monday episodes Wednesday we do weird news and then Friday we have our content recommendations when Tori shows up so I was sick it's it's boss I getting weak I said I'm getting sick I I'm Hyundai one of the SE is not gonna hit because I'm not gonna be able to get through two sentences without sniffing or coughing so we're gonna roll the dice on which episode it is us this week Monday Monday Tuesday or trivia Wednesday is music bingo in several locations and then I think Thursday we've got some specialty nights this week I think one of them I do but there are several of us now so I'm like trying to we're everywhere we're everywhere you can't avoid us yep and um and we've got some really fun events coming up for the month of April so join us I know I'm DJing at Sturgis and they've got a fundraiser on Saturday and it's country versus Country Club so I've I've got my uh task cut out like Florida Georgia Line versus Nelly not with Nelly but versus I don't know but apparently there is going to be an ability for them to auction pay money to gong songs so I'm gonna be really stressed out it'll be fine but it's gonna be a really good time and it's a fundraiser so yeah that's that's what we're all anything and everything for the Cape Community exactly we're here for it so if you've got ideas on episode stuff we should be talking about or anything
