foreign hi everyone hey good morning boys and girls how are you all Tuesday our disco ball is back Hank is back I'm functioning as a human which is always important right yep got a new cord over here so it shouldn't snap crackle and pop when I'm trying to talk things are going to be good today excellent and if they're not blame cliff that's what I do there's a trivia round yesterday that people were really annoyed by Cliff rodent and I threw him under the bus Moving On The Bus Cliff wrote this one just saying all right so is that another reason why you haven't re-upped yet I don't know it's just been one of those weird spaces I think we're just around each other way too much yeah I don't know how you work and live with your wife but I I don't know either sometimes I'm not how I'm living and working with my wife right now I I'm not dealing with her very well no no no we have we have our moments when you know it's just like how do we do this we've been doing it for five years how long have you been doing it uh living and working together now it's been like three three yeah you kind of settle at least we have into you do this and I'll do that and that way we're not exactly tripping over each other yeah except when we don't deal with the other one we don't do it as the ultimate thinks we should do it right and then we trip into it because when you're with someone for so long you kind of fall into that rhythm of you know what you are gonna do and I know what I'm gonna do and when you don't meet that expectation it's annoying yes yes and it's not their expectation of themselves chat with you later about this you were on my mind this morning you were the first person I thought of when I woke up this morning because I have to reach over grab my phone go to my text messages and say is there a text from Stephanie that uh she worked too late last night and she's not okay good we're having a show Stephanie Cancel me or not okay okay good and then we're gonna we're gonna go do a show yeah super weird Paul I must have like sent out that some energy to you good morning Julie Cardinale good morning from Clearwater Clearwater her how is it 105 there right now actually I can tell you because I love clear water so much I track the weather well this is the first day that we've seen the Sun and I don't know how long it's 82. all right that's manageable isolated seven animated thunderstorms which means it's going to rain for 15 minutes and then the sun's gonna go that's the one good thing about Florida is their 15-minute rainstorms where we just have you know four four day long storms is are we going to say this out again I know it is isn't that what's supposed to happen here in I hope this summer at least we're not in western Mass or Vermont or New Hampshire where they really took a they took a whooping yesterday awful I saw houses flooding away in in Vermont oh he's taking a part-time security job over at the water park I haven't been um to the inflatable park at all I wonder how much they're not liking the other inflatable park that is opened up at uh the Hyannis parking lot oh but you know what that's my cut through how dare you put an inflatable park in my cut through we passed it yesterday and and it builds itself as the largest inflatable park right that's crap the one in the parking lot yes yeah it's not what even is that it's it's I mean it's better than the crappy Carnival that only seemed to have come when it was raining outside and never made anybody the crappy carnival coming this year um no the regular one is happening oh get ready okay I like to take the week of the fair off usually oh yeah that's right that's coming up there's a fair in the air and it's at the end of my street and let me just tell you the amount of carnies that enter my area it's hysterical I had one time and I'll I'll tell this story every year until I'm blue in the face when a man washing his underwear in my pond I get pardon like showering bathing in the pond like washing his clothes but getting all cleaned up to go work at the fair he had a camper really uh-huh yeah oh whatever to each his own I mean I with all the cyanobacteria you're welcome to my pod at this point get right on in there and wash up that's something for me to kind of watch out for because if I get here a little early I go over to the parking lot at the pond and I have some coffee and whatever oh yeah you don't know what you're gonna find next week oh by the way they wanted to heat my iced coffee this morning at the Dunkin Donuts that time has forgotten but that's another story will fly anywhere else it's and I love they love it whatever new that we throw at them and it's usually an absolute show but you never know what you're gonna get and uh yesterday didn't disappoint but thank you so much one of the girls brought me banana pecan bread and she's like I baked this it was absolutely delicious I had it last night after my show thank you very much for that it's just a good crowd so I was getting ready to go over there we stopped to grab I said why don't we give away Powerball tickets the cliff was like no but I am going to get us some Powerball tickets useless um but we stopped and I was talking to our friend Jane and uh she was like well you know 625 million that would be great I was like no one needs that much money she goes I don't need that much maybe like 10 grand 50 Grand oh I did more than 10 or 15 yeah like just pay my mortgage payment and my car payment for a month and I'll thank you I don't need a lot remember the little people in your lives when you win a billion dollars I want enough lemonadeio.com right I mean I want enough to to get rid of my mortgage and and set up some kind of a scholarship fund for for Mariana oh that'd be nice but beyond that um I suppose travel but I mean the big expense is the mortgages yeah mortgage paid off and pay off the car yeah but you always have a car payment and I think you'd feel lonely if you didn't have one I don't know about that I had no car payment for a solid six years and it was beauteous I loved every moment of it yeah I didn't like driving a car that had 300 000 miles on it and could fall apart at any moment but I did love not having a car payment so that was great yeah let me put put the whole car buying experience yeah sure you know I mean it's it's something that you that you need to go through every now and then just to be reminded me how stressful it is wait what particularly right now when they say sorry we're not negotiating you pay this well the hell with you or you're surprised that size tax yeah somebody another one of my friends um that was buying Colleen was buying a vehicle for her teenage daughter and she said have you ever had this experience where I walked into a specific dealership and they were like well that's the price so leave it or take it good luck to you well we weren't very haggly no wheeling and dealing anymore no no when Mari bought her new Lexus um earlier in the year it was hey here's the price this is the price you want the car you pay the price right yeah and she wanted the car so she paid the price and she can afford to pay for it so you know that's that's fine but and it's a great car I've got to thank our listeners and our viewers and our supporters I got a phone call from the Cape Cod Times and I have made the top three for top DJs and also person of the year that's hysterical thank you so much Hank yay I'm gonna give myself a little Applause because the people in the room mark petrolio zaros and me one of these things is not like the other so if you want to vote for your local weirdo I'm here and I appreciate you no that was a that was a feel-good moment you know it's always nice to be appreciated for your hard work and uh that was pretty pretty awesome no one else who used to be associated with you no no one else no one else that other guy what guy I'm the guy you're the guy hey I'm the guy Valerie I'm just about at 300 000 miles and falling apart no payment it right it is really nice to go from that to having something that is reliable at a low payment because I had gone so long without a car payment we saved enough to put a ton down so that was really really nice to be able to have a nice small payment and have something that I can get in and move on thank you so much Caroline I appreciate you and and and the thing about driving a new used car is you get to the point where you have to decide okay I've spent too much to get it fixed yeah you know is this one more repair that I'm willing to pay to get another three months or is this really it if you're lucky you'll have a good mechanic who'll just look at you and say as as we do who will look at you and say that's enough that mechanic my mechanics like I can fix it yep no no we have we have a mechanic this work so we have a we have a mechanic who will Who will look at us and say okay really that's that's enough I love ours I'm like listen this needs to last three more months what are we gonna do about it oh oh please like always surgery I feel like he's playing Operation in there I think it's gonna be okay Stephanie I don't know try not to hit any bumps right if you do that's enough it's always a bleep show in my house as you can tell from outside in my um unwanted vehicle car parking lot that I've got going on over there who drives all those cars my husband Lily one of them is Lily's and she won't get her license the other one is the dump vehicle we just have a vehicle to go to just the dump vehicle he had to have a truck specifically so he could just bring things to the dump and Mashpee changed their schedule yes I know everyone's an uproar about the schedule and it doesn't work for us so I just have trash yes because because God forbid we have a lobster boil on Sunday and we can't throw it out on Monday oh my God if I saw one more of those comments in the Townie News page I was going to throw my phone across the room how do you really feel Hank that's awesome so awesome it's true though and it is kind of annoying so we're dealing with the repercussions of the dump change as you have said when we've talked about a number of things it's a first world problem right honestly it could be worse it could be worse we're gonna make it everyone you know it could not have anything to weak well we I don't know what it is whether we're so litigious we're just annoyed we are just we've had it up to here yeah so no one's able to take anything and just shut their mouth about it ever again like the cat's out of the bag and we can't put the cat back in the bag right I don't know why but that's the way it is right now and maybe that is the problem with our teenagers being unruly at beaches maybe that's the problem with whatever it is that's going on you got to go uh have your night out at the fireworks and then promptly get canceled yeah we found that they failed us we went to Falmouth we were going to go um July 4th I guess they should have done it on the fourth of July it cleared out it ended up being a really nice night and that's when the riots began and then we went the next night and it got canceled I mean it was foggy I kind of thought even if they they put up a couple of test shots and you could kind of see them and I kind of thought well okay they're just going to let them fly because they've paid for them but they but they didn't they they canceled and then after they canceled some some Bozo uh decided he was going to set off his own in the middle of the crowded beach with children and everything else and there was like a hurricane look what I can do that you know that poor son of a gun he was he was gently wrestled to the ground and and hauled off very quickly gently for just being stupid you know I mean he was probably you know cited and and released and probably the top the number one citation was for being stupid well you can't make everyone happy they should have just done it on the fourth of July and been done with that because that's when the problem started happening and for the Cape Cod Times to have to write an article that said please have a conversation with your unruly teenagers was wild to me but you know here's the thing we were talking about this before we went on it's not only here now we used to vacation and we'll vacation again I I hope um out in Reno Tahoe I used to work out there in Reno and we fell in love with Lake Tahoe and there were stories and posts and everything after the Fourth of July people trashed Lake Tahoe and it's a big deal out there it you know the phrase out there is is is keep Tahoe Blue um they're very environmentally conscious out there conscious out there politically in the in Nevada but when it comes to you know the natural resources they're really really yeah exactly they're fine it's once it's ruined it's ruined and and and and people trashed and I'm thinking how the hell can you trash Lake Tahoe yeah go to the beach and just leave it looked like Mayflower Beach when we saw the pictures of Mayflower Beach those were the pictures that they were showing from um that's a little scary that those are the hands that we're leaving our Beauty in yeah I know hopefully they can get it together and figure out that that's not how you behave and you need to clean up after yourself but they don't seem to be the generation that wants to clean up after themselves so well you know why that's because we kind of clean I know I realized that I we've been doing a disservice when I came home from working a 15-hour day and had to do the dishes and deal with all that that was that was a lot of fun for me you know what it is we get frustrated and we just go I know do it and and I don't want to hear about it it's 100 true and just I'll do it yeah it takes me five minutes to do it it's going to take me 10 minutes to fight with them right yep that's exactly what we're suffering from so I have ever had on record yeah it's muggy it's overcast everyone's blaming the virus I don't know if that's why it's so weird here this summer it's just crummy the Canadian fires yeah Lisa Z said to me the other day when we were at knock about she's like you need to see some sun what do you mean this pasty flower sack is living her best life no sunburns no problem I have not been to the beach one time this summer actually that's why I went one time um with a bunch of girlfriends we didn't go swimming or anything like that I think I wore my bathing suit twice once as just a top to go out not to actually go to the beach I mean I mean I I whatever it is nude Recreation week I'm glad that you threw that out there so thank you for that lead well I was wondering when you came in here all bit up and all uh what's what's going on with you I went out the other night usually Mario you and Mari got a little wild well we Mariana and I well usually around Sunset um because we live behind the sixth green at The Villages very nice and um there's a there's a water hazard and it's very you know environmentally correct or whatever and we'd look for maybe the Aaron golf ball or see what we can see but we went out the other night after Sunset when it was dark to catch some fireflies yeah and to see if we could find something oh how cute and and and we caught fireflies and the tree frogs were falling from the trees and falling on Mariana and and we all had a wonderful time but when we were out there I kept saying to Mariana are you getting bit I feel like I'm getting bit and she said no papa I'm fine I'm not getting bit I woke up the next day and my legs are a mess and I'm you know I mean I'm not going to show you because they're nobody needs to see that nobody no nobody needs to see that I finally end up calling the doctor yesterday and saying I don't know what bit me but I need help I can't look at my legs hi Uncle Dave uh John thank you so much for joining us how's retirement contest judging it I think today or tomorrow well that is not a bad day and there was some pretty cool looking drinks well let me know if it's this afternoon because I have a lull in my schedule if uh you need an extra judge for these beverages oh okay Mario listen you can I'm happy I'm happy to partake for you one of the people of the year on Cape Cod judge your uh I'll be honored yes no no no no no no we'll be honest if you come and judge is there a red carpet I can only go to Red Carpet things I'm just kidding so this week is Bear Week in Provincetown and apparently I saw on the townie pages bearizon growl yes that is in beer bear okay as always Bear Week in Provincetown the less clothing the better now it is bear week and um it's a specific kind of of gentlemen and so they are very busy okay I'm lost well you don't know what a bear is just Google it just the animal yes yes can somebody drop it in the chat what it is so I can understand I'm confused well you said I don't I don't yes has come during black bear week it's just bear week and I'm loving the fact that it happens at the same time and a real bear shows up hubby's on his way to Provincetown right now because there are so many people in Provincetown it is one of the busiest tourist week big hairy guys absolutely all over the all over the town really yep okay yeah that's what rtb is by the way Rich the bear oh okay okay wow see at least Gloria's laughing all right hashtag bear week I didn't think I was naive I mean I'm kind of older and I can't photography that says we gotta get Hank a gay to English dictionary yes please I want one of those I'd be like I should have that in my purse this is com God never mind it's very busy hubby's gonna go add some extra terminals to to people's businesses because they're so busy it's mild so it's really nice to have a little bit of Tourism here uh trust me after the Fourth of July weekend where the traffic was backed up to exit five they came the game they saw they ate everything they made messes and then they left which I'm okay with but clean up your messes right those are the things that we're asking for so Hank I didn't know if it was poison ivy or mosquitoes you were never specific about what happened never told me I sent a picture and I said who bit me who the heck bit me what can I do and the email came back I'm putting in a prescription for some kind of lottie-da ointment but she never told me what it was I like the Lottie dog ointment kind of fits with the bear week I think everybody needs a lot he's not wait man oh my God so I was laughing at one of your uh is it your nephew that posted some suspect photos on social yes from Provincetown yes he's Lauderdale as well he well there it was um an eye-opening experience and you were like his parents are on social media at what point do you not care what you post to have your parents consume it is there ever a point where you're like oh my God my mom can't see that do you still do that as a grown-up does anybody still hide things from their parents I was just very curious I've always been that person that unapologetically is myself so I never gave a what my parents saw or didn't because I was like well that's me and I'm the good one so deal with it at what point do you stop caring Hank do you need a dictionary oh Jackie wants to know that oh this is not going to be let go easily is it I have to lean over sometimes because I can't see all the comments right oh you just want to be next to me hey kind of well I know that that's that's that's true but hysterical it's so good today so good oh my goodness at what point do you stop caring do you care at all did you always hide things from your parents do you still do it your parents well you got your mom well no I'm I'm so old that there was no social media when I was growing up there so I didn't have to I didn't have to worry about that but mari's Mom's on social isn't she yeah she is and and she's pretty cool yeah call her my sainted mother she is your Saints and mother-in-law and she really has been a wonderful mother-in-law over the years and nothing really nothing really faces Janet yeah I love that yeah she's very very matter-of-fact about things yeah my mom is kind of like that she's a nurse though so I feel like I could tell her anything and she'd be like well she got and just like very flatly and plainly I was like Mom I'm joking well Mari will talk to her and say oh Mom did you hear that so and so died he was 82. yeah and Janet will say well 82. what do you expect you know what do you think was going to happen okay Gloria says I can't wait for today's reels oh there's way too much a lot of material here Gloria so fun right oh got a whole week of stuff right here just so curious yeah my kids don't hide anything from me in fact it's kind of annoying oh because you know too much I know it too much I'm like these are things you don't tell your mom guys come on so we're we're talking about it we're kind of late to the the planning phase on everything everything got away from us this summer and so now I'm kind of envisioning maybe a train travel trip instead of an overseas trip we didn't get Lily's passport stuff in in time and people have had a hell of a time getting their password it's just really annoying my brother-in-law and sister-in-law that my brother and his wife they had a trip planned to Italy and they didn't get their passports yeah that's six yeah normally we plan for it and I put it in my my phone and I'm like okay this one needs to be renewed at different times finally this will be Lily's first grown-up one so because kids are only good for five years so finally this will be the last time that we have to re-up her passport and wait for it but that's she's the sticking point um on us going overseas so we're probably gonna just do a train travel and so when you had said Tahoe that was kind of I was gonna do the out west go to Chicago and then go all the way to San Fran right on the train great and I thought the kids would really like that those are different places and stop in Chicago stop and Truckee and maybe stop in Colorado somewhere just so that they can see that portion Chicago you're gonna have to leave the kids behind and then hit all the blues clubs oh they do have great music I did 36 hours in Chicago when I went with my friend Lisa on one of our podcasting trips and that was pretty incredible and the food scene is fabulous yes I want to be so good this is years ago now I went to Buddy guys Blues club which is right behind the hotel where I was staying and um Shamika Copeland was the um was the featured artist that night and she's a very popular blue singer she hosts the show on um one of the Blues channels on on Sirius XM but I but I walked in Buddy Guy who's standing over in the corner so cool and I go oh my God right but I went in and I got my ticket and I sat down I'm gonna play Copeland and I'm gonna play a really cool but I'm really excited and um and I had a camera with me the reason why I had the camera was that I had gone to the Cubs game and that was when Grace field Sammy Sosa and Mark McGuire were having the Home Run thing this sounds pretty incredible so I had my camera ready to take Sammy Sosa hitting the Home Run I had a couple of he didn't hit a home run the day I was there and so I still had a couple of shots left and at the end of the night I go up and I'm gonna buy a bumper sticker and a T-shirt and the guy sees them holding my camera and he says did you get your picture taken with buddy I said what do you mean could you fix your taken with Buddy I saw him standing over there but I didn't want he said oh no that's why he stands there you can go over and talk to him and get your picture taken that's awesome does he charge for it no oh that's cool she just hangs out for like you know an hour I'm just gonna stand over here and wait for people to adore me when do we get to that point Hank where we just stand places and wait for people to adore us I don't know and then they want to have their photo taken with us I don't know I want to get to that point Buddy Guy maybe I need to make something cool like he does yeah speaking of which you are now doing your your new Jazz show so let's talk about some of your new shows very excited stuff at seven o'clock on Sunday mornings it's called classic Jazz it is not the elevator music stuff that's going to put you back to sleep right and it's not the music that has you wondering is there a Melody here um it's the it's the Straight Ahead Oscar Peterson uh Stanley Turrentine Duke Ellington Phil Woods quartet great On and On music with music man I love it yeah great stuff and um seven two I thought it was 79 but apparently it's seven to ten I love it which is which is fine and then we're not doing Sunday school anymore from 10 to 11 we're doing something called the Sunday paper um where we're just going to take a look at various parts of the Sunday paper like we you know like we used to not the front page because that's just too much with that never want to look at the front page I'm anti-front page news but we'll do the the the celebrity stuff and movie reviews you know top 10 movies and of and I still haven't seen Indiana Jones and of course the sports page yeah um well Indiana Jones is going to be knocked off by Mission Impossible which debuted in Europe yesterday I've only seen enough Tom Cruise apparently not because they're expecting it to just go Bonkers Bonkers somebody threw out I had a good joke the other day one of my trivia is I said pretty soon it's going to be Mission possible man 61. I mean still doing his stunts Wilds oh he's crazy well they eat babies in Scientology so I think that that's what it is kidding and of course Clearwater where we just came from is where do they Scientology you know they they've gobbled up ons of land I love that you used that and built these big buildings and they're not paying taxes and it's a real it's a real issue down there for folks Lynn said very cool story so it was I I love great music stories like that where you get to just walk in the Living Legends right right and he's played he happens often he's played the cape a couple of times he has canceled he has he had some dates scheduled in um Israel uh coming up relatively it's on my bucket list and and he's canceled going to Israel because of all the back and forth right now between the Israelis and the Palestinians yeah probably not the best time you know and he's no kid either by the way now I mean he's the last one standing of that whole crowd well that's why like what do you care I mean my God and all those guys you know Buddy Guy's the last one he's morning Aaron 80 something the coolest thing he did when we saw him at the tent is that he he everything is of course hooked up electronically uh but he's doing a um a solo and he walks totally out of the tent and and he and he's still playing and he walks and he walks around outside and you can hear him playing and he's up and down the aisles and eventually he gets back she'll love Wi-Fi technology now like we're going it was really do it it was really cool um because it just brings it to the audience it elevates that performance it's very exciting grabby's do it there are a bunch of bands that now do it and I love it yeah bajas have done it for a while that's a whole other story that's that's a different show Baja's wandering around for another reason um sorry guys if you don't know the bar house you don't get to joke but if you do you do um you know you now you know you know but how come there aren't any just a lot of country artists and a lot of comedians at the tent this summer I don't know I haven't I haven't been once I haven't felt compelled to want to go I gave away some tickets train was coming I gave away some of those tickets um I we had had a few things that we were doing for giveaways here I go again we saw hoodie and the Blowfish train was the opening act yeah back when they were I believe back when they were nobody Train's awesome they were nobody just just fill in some time for for hoodie and obviously they became somebody well speaking of just like people showing up on the cape Dave Matthews Band rolls in with their tour bus to Falmouth and apparently this is not the second this is the second or third time over the weekend so my friend stalked them so they did a private show and simple with it for somebody's birthday and my friend got in his boat and sat and listened to the whole show buy a boat imagine watching Dave Matthews you know that's something you could do if you wanted that's something you could do if you won a billion dollars in the lottery I am Dave Matthews that's true come and play a party just play my backyard please thanks Dave not a problem so it's just Dave and Tim jamming out can you imagine how much money no no Dave Matthews should show up in your backyard no we need better friends and you're a fine friend but sharing upgrade available I get it right Stephanie 2.0 but usually it's all these people's summer houses you know what I mean they're not no I know they're not the regular people that live around here because I feel as if I would get more advice if they were regular people that were all living around here come on guys throw me a bone bring me to a show I want something but yep just jammed out good we're expanding our reach well you know what Florida sounds really good at this point in time because once again I haven't felt like I've had summer at all yep although I would probably have no skin left I lived in Florida I would just ignite at this point in time not my best summer for getting a little color that's for sure it's just not happening for me I love Florida I love the warmth don't get me the politics will drive me insane but um it's everywhere it is it really honestly it is but oh yeah the temperatures were I mean the end of June it was you know 92 feels like 103. yeah and I was like yes oh no and my three girls like personal hell my three girls looking at me going what's wrong with you yeah right exactly oh just let me just sit up I don't want to sit in the sun because I'm Irish too yeah exactly and and I'll and I'll bring my poor mother God Rest Your Soul we could take my mother take her to the beach put her in a chair with a with a cover on it she could wrap herself up in a towel put on a hat lather herself up with with um suntan lotion and still get a burn and we get her back to the cottage and she'd be burned from head to toe yeah yep yep my mother's that way I'm that way it was not great I was Mom by the way she's great she's you know getting her house ready to go to market so that she can move closer to me tell Mom we know agents in San because they think the kids are going to come and visit them every year and bring the grandkids and once the novelty wears off that Grandma and Grandpa have a house on the cape they never see them yeah I have a 40-something year old friend that's parents just retired from a business on the cape and he said I'm how what a loser am I I'm going to look at a house with my parents on Lake Winnipesaukee because they have this hope that they buy this lake house that the entire family goes and uses or is part of it and I I know I'm hoping for them that that's the way it is more importantly that he's almost 40 and vacationing with his parents still because he doesn't have a lady in his life so well foreign no he's not that type okay well just a suggestion I don't know he learning it's a new podcast idea you know what this is wonderful you did get to take it a show my daughter got to babysit and you guys can we go home at the academy of performing arts in Orleans it was really really well done um as good as any Broadway touring company that's exciting we do have so many wonderful Artisans and people that come for fun shows and do stuff here in the summertime but it's not necessarily just the summer time the Academy of Learning does shows you around you said you just missed company missed the company um they're doing a um um just a stage reading of a play um they're doing Winnie the Pooh um in uh because that just hit um the open market right yeah a couple of mornings or you know a couple of mornings they've got a you know a young a bunch of kids in the cast cute and then they're doing um Green Day's American Idiot very fun and they've got one more thing coming up I I forget what it is but uh really well done all local folks the talent is incredible I'm loving it between kotuit Center for the Arts um we've got Highfield Hall we've got so many great little companies Little Theater Productions town by Town throughout the cape that would be a fun little guidebook even if somebody put that together for the summer from Dennis Provincetown all the fun little show places that you can just go and and get a show do something different yeah because it's K people if you're watching us and you live on Cape Cod as Kate people we don't do that stuff now because we're too busy working no I I definitely push myself to at least go visit other towns and see what's going on and Lisa and I really every summer we try and on Wednesdays for our women travel better in pairs we had this big travel plan where we're gonna go town by town and do our little broadcast kind of like a little Zip Trip yeah never happens never happens and we're like we got big plans this summer crickets things get busy this is us what happened are you out there Lisa are you there Lisa she's living her best life over at Peter's Pond crashing boats and doing whatever it is that she's doing with Oliver ATV and that sounds like fun all of our fun little toys and tchotchkes now that she's just buying up her retirement I'd be basically planning for it anyway good for you yeah retirement overrated I bought a radio station and I still have kids so I'll be here for a while right 25 years Hank you said that sounds about right I mean I mean I'm supposed to be tired I can't do it well it's boring that's boring I don't know how people who are retired retired and don't do anything yeah I don't know how they do it well my dad's busier than ever in retirement I called him the other day I told you he was like on a roof right what are you doing oh yeah I got this project uh okay still you were never that busy when you were working and how old you did so he's not that old he's in late 60s okay but even still he shouldn't be on roofs no I know you're The Bionic Man and have had everything replaced hips knees what everything it's all been replaced got a new ticker in there everything's working there were certain things I won't do I mean like when we get you know boxes of yeah you're not a Fix-It guy no I'm really not and and but but certain things like we get you know boxes of litter delivered for the for the for the children and the kids the cats and um I don't know what you're doing in your home I don't know what I won't I won't bring the box downstairs I'll wait for Logan to come and say hey look we're going to bring that box downstairs there you go I'm not going to pick that up he's not doing that I'm not doing it because sure as hell I'm gonna fall so yeah yeah exactly be safe today is Amazon Prime day I don't know if anybody's gotten any deals the iPad's cheap I think well cheap as iPads go the lowest price it's ever been I think it's 250 or something like that started at three o'clock this morning it's gonna go on for 24 hours there's nothing on there that I really need I like through it all and I went and bought something yesterday that I could just easily bought today but oh well I guess the Roomba is on sale for like half off we have one of those I would just yell I would be annoyed by it all the time it would get in the way it would fall down the stairs it would be broken in five seconds I'm not allowed to have nice things we've just we've established this I'm still not in the realm I thought once my kids were a little bit bigger that we'd be able to have nice things they're worse now than they ever were so no nice things really not allowed can't have it um Jamie Foxx made an appearance yesterday I saw that little yeah Deuces from a yacht yeah but who knows though I mean and he and he's showing up in new commercials but they must have um I think it's AI for um what is it Caesars he does he does one of the sports betting commercials yeah and there were some new ones and he's in them you think they were shot prior to I bet they are yeah Maybe I bet they are oh I can get some golf balls cheaper than whatever see now with this one's shopping look like I just gave him a problem well but you know what new stuff we had a new music I've got some fun little beachy tunes and uh any suggestions you want to make some local music has anybody's seen a local band that they like do you have been trained on um I haven't had N Train on in a while they seem to have disappeared and now they're kind of back again and I don't know if they if they I feel like everybody does that though cyclically as a band the only one that's still bopping and rocking and hasn't changed their schedule is Syndicate so right oh yeah right going strong 87 years love you guys and the moonlighters yeah yes the moonlighters are are well it's nice to see a good a band with like horns and like other stuff that adds to it yes oh yeah I I I love a band with horns always right yeah just makes it a little classy a little a little better or they would have um who was the other one there that used to jump in with them and like play the electric violin like just something fun I need a new sound in my life seriously honestly I just get so bored so easily and um it's just this time of year I get aggravated and I I hate all the shows I'm re-watching suits yes so I started watching that and uh I forgot Meghan Markle was in it right oh yeah and honestly she looks no different somebody else said that they thought that that's when Meghan Markle was good no that's when we didn't pay much attention to Meghan Mark we don't care that's why we didn't care it was just Meghan Markle Mari tried to get me to start to watch Daisy Jones in the six it I loved it you didn't like it I have no patience oh after the first 15 minutes you just stabbed me I'm like okay the music is cool but really this is a soap opera oh 100 yeah let's just turn on The Flipping Hallmark Channel and it'll be over in an hour and a half oh see I like the Roman I loved everything about Daisy Jones and the six I love that it was new music I love that they sang new music I loved the cast I love Riley Keough Elvis's granddaughter everything about the whole I loved the show I read the books though oh really so it was really exciting to watch the show I there's books there are books there's it's a series okay and so while it's one of the first times I've ever read books and then watched a series that I thought the series was better really it fulfills that thing in your brain that you're like that you liked about it right sometimes the characters are off and it's not how you imagined or they take a lot of liberties with the storyline the Liberties that they did take were great and I thought that they really just magnetized Daisy Jones and the six if you've not seen it please go see it it's great just have everybody says I mean I have no patience so don't use me as a as a guide but everybody says when Mari you know posted on Facebook oh I'm starting to watch Daisy Jones in the is that amazing you know we do anything we got to put it up on Facebook but that's another story um a number of people said give time and I jumped in and I said I'm done it's too romancy for you it's and a good a good friend of mine um you know wrote well that's why I put I give it time I haven't watched a show like that that actually made me physically SOB I bawled my eyes out watching and I don't know if it was a weird day for me or whatnot but I I cried I really felt the storyline so I don't know if you enjoyed it yep cheers to you it is on Amazon since we're talking about Amazon today and when you know she's Elvis's granddaughter you can see the resemblance oh yeah you know at least I could well the crap she's been through this year with her mother and her grandmother and like all just the drama in her life I know it must be must not be a fun fun no but she's always she's been the one that's taken care of her siblings and she's been the responsible one when her mom's like just kind of scatterbrained and then passed and then now the fighting with a grandmother or over money and estate stuff it's just a wild life she's lived and I think that that comes out in our character so I really I love it yeah I do like the music I hear the music in the other room it's been playing on terrestrial radio so I got really excited the first time I heard it I was like oh mvy played it and I was like yeah guys it made my heart really really happy you I do I listen to all the stations oh okay that's the only one that I will say out loud though all right all right yeah the other ones I'm like we talked about this before I got aggravated we listened differently yeah I I don't know if it's exchange for you yet but we were talking a couple weeks ago about how we get in the car and we don't listen to the radio anymore yeah do you still not listen yeah I don't I don't either that I'll listen to nothing I'll listen to a podcast or I'll listen to classical music and every once in a while I'll pop on mvy when they're not in their leg sometimes they hit a vein of just like oh songs to die to I call them yes and it's just like it's morose yes it's uh I call them songs to die too and I'm like you can't do it no I can't do it can't be put in that mood because I'm very my moods are very easily swayed by the moods of others I'm very much one of those people that's susceptible to the room that I'm in so if you're a life suck I'm gonna get Debbie Downer and I'm not that person so I'm like uh I feel drained all of a sudden I'm exhausted and and and with all due respect because they've done a marvelous job to keep themselves going when they start raising money I know I know okay I don't get it I know you guys could do it but dear God please stop that's it I had one of my friends that said I just sent the money so I would shut them up but it didn't shut them up now they're just talking I mean they are what they were able to do losing this is incredible going online finding another signal being on you know um yeah they're heavily followed in Newport also because of the the jazz festival so oh yeah oh no they do it they do a nice not the nicest job as we do here at lemonade I agree what they what they do we did win station of the year that year and we were against mvy so that was probably one of my most finer happier moments of my life because I was like yes yeah thank you no they're good and and some of the air stuff there has been there like I mean we moved to the cape 28 29 years ago I mean they're still there yeah that's not a testament of goodness though what a cool yeah yes have a job at the same radio station all that time is is really cool because you and I know yeah but just because you're a crusty Barnacle that stuck to a boat doesn't mean you belong there and I'll just leave that at that all right all right hang around let them go they've been here forever just leave them there it's like when they move your office to the basement right there you know and then and they take your stuff just let them let them live out his days I love my stapler doesn't mean he's not going to burn down the Wade your foot into doing a craft fair like that where you're not having to pay a fee to be involved and the place was crowded yeah it was and you know what I saw one of my friends showed me um and I'm not going to throw them under the bus but it's a specific thing in in Harwich that requires 300 for a table fee for people to have their stuff at and I I thought that that's out of control if you've never done something like this before so we're giving them the baby grounds to be able to practice to try it out to see what your setup looks like to be able to try it out and it's a great spot and they have C3 they don't have a lot of food but they have food and right down the street can you get into the Pond yet I do not think we are doing puns this year in Mashpee okay well I think ours is currently shut down too I think I don't I don't know it looked real pretty this morning when I was having like so pretty full of bacteria when I was having my iced coffee that wasn't heated um okay I'm wherever in the world you are I love you I miss you what am I gonna get you on here because I need to hear some of your flight attendants oh God he must have stories so many stories so much well but there might be some stories he can't tell you because he posts I think I mentioned this last week he posted a picture of I think he was in San Diego of some hotel where he was and I said my gosh
