hi good morning good morning boys and girls how are you so happy to be back together in the same room again I know it I know it it's a different energy altogether it is it is to be you know looking at each other the screen is one thing but this is just your I know we live in a zoom world where that could just happen now it's kind of nice but also it's kind of like right yeah so we're back I just left the Florida Keys you are going to the Florida Keys I'm going to Florida yes we're leaving tomorrow we're going to stay at the airport in Boston and then we had to um Longboat Key on Thursday and then have you ever been there no I never have you're gonna love the keys you're gonna abandon clear water and want the keys oh okay I really just enjoyed my time there even though it was a day and a half yep it was a very short amount of time and I noticed you got some sun a little bit yeah I'm not see-through anymore Hey listen I thought I did really well no you did you did so you have to tell I mean the famous person who who showed up at the nerd convention yeah so we I was at a nerd convention last week I was dealing with um some family little bit of health issues and then we uh made it to the conference totally nerded out was way out of my depth as far as everything that I was learning but um it ended up being great made some wonderful connections learned a ton like you know when you learn so much in such a small Spar you're like where do I start I don't even know how I start employing these changes right so that it was great for growth good morning Jamie and Megan uh watch out for the chickens we'll see yeah there are chickens everywhere chickens everywhere okay um so after that it was the final culmination the last night when everybody starts gossiping about who the star is going to be yeah last year was um Shaq the year before that they were in um Southern California so Snoop Dog on an Airship is where they had their final party like these nerds know how to party right like every single night party everything's open bar everything's get out often no so this is like wilding out and I'm like who's it going to be and everyone's like it's going to be pit because we're in Miami it wasn't it was white cjan which I was so excited for but you could see some of like the rockheads all like like you're so rude right there's only like a thousand of us here he can see you right he is a human man I was excited because uh it's 50 years of hipop and that Fuji's album was like pivotal for me in my spot and where I was in my life and it was so good you know Lauren Hill definitely put her foot in her mouth but they are going back on tour they're out there right now for tour tickets and so he just happened to be in the area and uh I was just so excited he sweat on me Hank o and how long did it take you to shower you know obviously I showered later on that cuz I was grimy cuz Miami is like 150° outside I've never bathed so much in my life it's like oh I went to breakfast I need I need a shower I don't know how those people live like that it's so hot and sweaty all the time but I met so many people from our area Cape Cotter specifically really very bizarre two of my Uber drivers were Cape cters really yes wow wow and then there were like two other I sat down in a u one of the nerd conference meetings and I start talking and she's like oh my family's from South Yarmouth like still there and I was like what she's like you probably know them turns out I do know her family of course well you know everybody you and Mari know everybody it was just really bizarre good morning Caroline hi from Maine thank you so much for taking I know I'm so excited she finally got internet so that she could watch our show um she had she's in one of those places in Maine where they don't have internet she just moved yeah she left the moved to Maine and uh she yeah she is like living out there living in the woods I'm loving it send more photos your dog looks like it's living its happiest life just just watch out for the Bears yeah right they're a little hungry right now because they're stocking up that's right it's fat bear week it's fat bear week I'm surprised somebody hasn't been offended about that I love it I know but don't you think man people people get offended by so much that there isn't some group protesting fat beer week no they love it too good morning Ray beers do but yeah good morning Miss Mari I miss your face I won't be able to see it until next week I did get to see her on the zoom for a little bit though that was fun yes yes so it's fat bear week I don't know who's up there right now this is the fattening they're getting ready to hibernate so I guess winter is the best time to be out there right I guess should be hibernating right yeah but if you come across them in the middle of winter don't Don't Go Near them that's not the bear I want to come into contact with they're up and near hungry we all know how we Jesus don't come here right now because that born Bridge oh good Heavens I thought my husband was gonna have an aneurysm yesterday we were like exactly on time for a gig right and then you weren't no we were we were exactly on time for a gig that's not set up time took us another 15 20 minutes to get all set up oh okay to the point where the bar calls and they're like are you guys here today I like yes we are um he had to drive off Cape yesterday for Lily had dental work and our dentist is in Taunton oh and so that's a drive it's ridiculous he's like this is the last time we're going here um but they just don't do the work at Mash B Dental that she needed done so he left the C yesterday at noon he barely made his appointment time at 2 and barely got home at 6:00 p.m. oh my it was to taunting 45 minutes away it was so awful I don't understand why it's so great it's not like we haven't gone through Bridge construction before it's always been bad it's never been this and I'm not complaining we're lucky that you know we they're working on it it's fine but it w fall down exactly cuz we'll never see the new one but when it takes me 3 hours to go apple picking with my family in a cush net there is a problem oh yeah oh yeah so bad so I'm done with that bridge two days in a row I'm not going near it again let me know when that stuff is done I'm over it yeah we did go to Spirit Halloween I did have a lot of fun hanging out with my kids and my husband who was probably the biggest kid of all yeah and we did like little photo shoots with their costumes my son's gonna be a gorilla a gorilla okay he got a giant gorilla costume and his best friend is being the banana oh good oh good but it's so lifelike it's scary oh yeah so costumes are such a far cry from what they were when when we were when I waser oh yeah and the the you the flame [ __ ] plastic right and the mask and the thing that snapped you in the face yep yep that was so much fun and stung your cheeks good morning Derek thanks for joining us um yeah so he comes down in that costume but it was funny because we were in the store and the woman that was checking out near us couldn't help but tell us the story of her father and how he actually scared her oh really when she was younger and he just sat there with this gorilla costume on she said in the dark and said nothing oh and then all of a sudden just got up and was like scaring children by the masses that's how he was giving away Halloween candy you went to you went to the spirit store where um um the old Christmas tree shop was you know what they've done it they've done it a service really it is really cool the way that they've set it up in there I would definitely suggest that you you make that Trek don't go over the bridge go near it right and on that side um so I really did enjoy that shop I love that building yeah it's Nostalgia for me they've got to do something with it yeah I mean that's been there since heck when I was a kid coming here with my parents to go on vacation was there and it was the Christmas tree shop right my grandmother loved that building loved it the thoughted roof y uh just everything about it so I hope they do preserve it in a in a thoughtful manner but I love what they've done with the Spirit Halloween in there it's very very cool great uh that is one of our questions of the day and before I get to it crazy crime yes I don't know if I should start with my story in Florida so while while I was away yes wcff was amazing we got a day and a half away but I met another woman at the conference and we started talking at lunch over how we talk about crazy crimes okay and I said Unfortunately they always happen in Florida yes and she goes oh you've seen nothing yet she did the equivalent of hold my beer are you on Instagram of course I'm on Instagram why only in Dade you're welcome go follow only ined on Instagram it is jam-packed with the most stories I got sucked into a rabbit hole I was there for hours just so many wonderful things happening only in dat oh good it'll rock you you'll have a good time with it and it'll give you something to check into when you're bored and just want your own personal crazy crime right there on Instagram instead of Doom scrolling you can just yeah yep which by the way is a new word in the dictionary Doom scrolling Doom scrolling that I'm learning new words every day I posted my um I sent my sh her a photo of us mhm and she goes um not one crumb not one crumb I was like what I don't do you need money that's what she usually called crumbs she's watching the kids at home she's like Mom no you ate that up get it no no no I don't so here I am finding myself scrolling Tik Tock and insta not Doom scrolling but trying to learn the new venacular cuz I don't know anything so so what did not one crumb mean that meant that I looked good in the photo oh I ate it up meaning it looked good I don't know oh good I'm glad it's not just me that I don't see the connection good morning Gloria oh my goodness I know it was very funny so here we are in our own personal uh crazy crimes over here we love looking at the sandwich police yes I did laugh at somebody calling the police because they wanted the skunk in their front yard removed right um once again they are police officers right they're not Pest Control peace officers not pest control and they're not going to come and shoot the skunk you wouldn't want them to shoot his skunk actually oh excuse me I was going my friend hard call the police right I know you guys aren't doing anything we come and get the skunk out of my yard instead why couldn't you just let it walk away this one was a personal favorite of mine a local woman reportedly coming home to a large balloon bouquet oh yeah she did not order it she assumed it was a gift for her child's birthday and the woman called family members none of anybody was claiming responsibility for the balloons and then she recognized the items from from a local store so she tried to make contact with a real retailer to see if she could find out who purchased it after exhausting all efforts she then called the police it's a balloon bouquet officers responded and investigated the incident the investigating officer received an email several days later that the mystery had been been solved it was a friend who dropped off the balloons we were just relieved that it was not one of those creepy clowns materializing around Halloween just sneak into houses dropping off balloons we don't like scary clowns and now that when balloons are making you call the police what yeah what do we blame it because of this I don't know um today our question is what Friday the 13th what scares you I unknowingly brought a balloon bouquet to one of my girlfriends and then her twin sister freaks out get it away from her she's afraid of balloons how can you be afraid with all due respect to anyone who is afraid of balloons how the hell can you be afraid of balloons I I was like wait what that's a real thing she's afraid of balloons Stephy everything's a real thing you should have seen the way her sister looked at me like I was like giving her a bouquet of knives away wait see Megan's afraid of balloons she said I'm terrified of balloons good morning Dave hectar terrified not just afraid terrified terrified I I don't I don't get it I'm sorry only the latex ones though my lar balloons are fine hot air balloons are fine just latex just latex that's it dve Friday the 12th scares me okay it just seems like there's been too many Friday the 13th lately well two in the month of October that's like two Halloweens why are we not having two Halloweens I don't know I'm in my Halloween dress right now very cool Hocus Pocus dress did you see that speak when while you were away one town off Cape I'm not sure where they all of a sudden decided they were canceling Halloween in school there was going to be no costume no Halloween costume parade during school time just like bang out of nowhere it's happens all the time right all of a sudden some Community decides M we're not allowed right right but all of a sudden and you know this G probably gonna come out something wrong but all of a sudden they start trotting out all these cliches you know inclusion and I understand and it's like what are you folks doing didn't you know when you set the school calendar I don't know six months ago that this might be a problem so the so here's the funny thing the parents get upset and they say that okay the parent organization can run the parade so what do the parents do oh my God you want us to run the parade you can't be serious so the school recanted yeah you're not winning that and now they're having customs in school and now they're having the parade because God forbid the parents should be responsible for their children's Halloween you know what I like what Mash does no it's none of it's allowed they don't even let candy or ice cream or anything like that for birthdays they're like no no it's got to be a healthy snack oh yeah just started off when they're young and then now we don't even care what Halloween in school no it just doesn't happen yet this week is Spirit Week we've got Homecoming coming up right and so this week we had to go and get my my son and my daughter a freshman she's a senior so like this the seniors get the best ones like the seniors get Barbie and like fun movies and then uh the Juniors always get the worst one they have to dress in Oppenheimer good luck to that Cody has minions so they they've got all these costumes they've got all this now meanwhile not allowed for Halloween but we have a full week of events this week you got to have a pink shirt on this day um you decades day so Lily is um I forget what Cody's 2020 so I'm like what you go by you dress like yourself right Lily's Y2K so and then it's blue and white on Friday because they've got their big homecoming game but it's just the same it's the same as why the reason why you got rid of Halloween because it's not everybody can't have the nicest costume so this week it's a full week of events right I don't get it what happened to inclusive we're so concerned that we want everybody to be included so that's why we're not going to do Halloween and costumes some kids do and some kids don't so we're going to do this instead which some students will and some students wety of reasons correct that follows that he look I he uh everyone I'm I'm brushing with Fame all week I had wcff this week and now I've got big Hank right here and Hank had a brush with Fame yesterday last night was um Tomato's 20th birthday party congratulations everyone a fabulous party always puts on Mark puts on a good party and I had a brief moment a brief chance to sing with tarz where did you sing with tavarus were you live on stage Hank no we all happen to be in the men's room together so weird so I walked into the men's room and one of them is changing and another one comes in and it was a great party and he just started singing oh what a night so I'm standing there and I said late September back in 63 and he took the next line what a very special time for me and then I said and I remember what a night there go and and he said I gotta get you on stage tonight oh boy I said no no that that's okay thank you yeah no no because it's late December not September oh whatever it was cut hang whatever it was but I had my BR with Fame I sang with tarz you did and you know you did and you know that Acoustics are really good in a b absolutely we all sounded fabulous yeah I probably would have sounded like crap up on the stage but there's something about it like that Baby It's Cold Outside song and during elf when when will frell and Zoe D Chanel are singing in the bathroom there's something about the Acoustics of a bathroom that make it sound so much better yeah oh can we play baby's cold outside again now I don't know it is kind of rapy yeah it's kind of ucky some some comedian I I forget who it is and you can find it on YouTube did a comparison of as people were protesting about Baby It's Cold Outside the number one song in the country was I [ __ ] yes and he like compared it verse for verse and people were all upset about you just stay and have another drink or whatever it was and then but this this one's licking her crack I mean honestly the stuff that we let our children Listen to I I never noticed I never lyrics were never a thing that my parents ever shied me away from they totally should have when I got that George Michael album by mind you um as I'm thinking third grade what phonograph when Stephanie was thinking pornograph I didn't know the difference no one no one ever censored anything for me products of the 80s nothing was censored what was that um so yeah I think maybe sometimes but it was brought to my attention when I think my daughter I was in the back seat singing one of the Rihanna songs about Whips and Chains Excite me and I was like okay we're we're goingon to listen to a little raffy or something right Wiggles did you say every parent has had that moment where something inappropriate is come on yes or on the TV where you're watching it or you're listening to it and you're like oh okay like don't react like when they fall and you and everybody goes and then they cry you just kind of pick them up and move them on and see if they cry or not right right see if they bounce there's a skill there you just move on right right did did they hear that right no they didn't hear that nobody heard anything let's move on let's move on yeah yeah good morning Dave thanks for joining us so you've got your big gu your big trip coming up yes um after your big fall on Saturday on Sunday rather Hank H do you like just wasting money or throwing money into the trash and then going to a place where you're going to sad not usually you paid for sadness I did I went to the Patriots game Sunday boys and girls had great seats right on the 50 yard line we're up in the nose bed section but it was it was great seats and I saw live and in person every wretched play it was just horrible and the people in the stands are so frustrated oh yeah and so angry Mari Megan call me a [ __ ] when she was five at the grocery store cuz you're a [ __ ] you're a mother okay let's get those groceries right and then let's get out of here yeah so what is it like being in a in a giant stand of dejected people it was like being awake I'm I'm surprised there wasn't violence I'm surprised people were getting pissed people would just were just like watching it in disbelief yeah that they are this bad yeah it's bad it's bad and Mac stinks you know excuse me Mack was a very good college quarterback right he was not an unreasonable draft choice but lots of times the skills required to be a good college quarterback don't translate into the pros yeah and I think that's his problem it's awful he's a good college he was a great college quarterback played from Alabama played Fenix Sabin won a national championship yada y yada but it just doesn't translate now he didn't grow up he didn't grow with the team he didn't like turn it on like Brady did he doesn't have the arm and he doesn't have I was thinking about this morning I was thinking about this this morning the difference between Mack and Brady was that the receivers that Mack has are okay you know um Henry's okay Juju Smith shuster's okay Devonte Parker's okay Brady would make them better Mac can't make them better you can't and guess what folks the national game of the week the four o'clock game on Sunday Patriots Raiders the network execs must be throwing up in their mouth they're like why they might move it they've done it before but I don't know if it's there's a certain point in the season where they can and I think we're still too early in the season it's so bad for them to start messing around with the the the everyone's calling for belich che's head and I don't think we've ever called for that before no I think yeah no I think it's I think it's time I I think it's time for Bill to pick up the phone say hi Linda I'm sorry that's not happening I'm coming back to n Tucket I know I left you in the house I'm moving back in because he did he left her in the house she she's in the house Deborah it was a horrible game and painful that they're watching in person oh was just terrible yeah that's what I'm saying I was like that's just you paid for sadness on Sunday there's just a whole lot like the whole way there and then the whole way home that's just like a process to get to Gillette to have to pay for that process I'm sorry buddy that's okay he's going to Florida we were sitting on opposite of the putham club which is where all those red seats are which are all the you know the corporate people who really don't give a damn anyway the first half the seats were mostly full when the second half started and things really started to go down in the drain those seats are practically empty yeah those corporate people those people who were there as a guest of whatever company yeah they were good they left we're all set they left thanks for their free tickets they at they ate the fancy food they they took their picture being at the Patriots game well you know what we can get we can beat the crowd yeah we got out of the parking lot like that and we stayed till the end but just awful it's just bitter awful yeah we've been so spoiled that would have been a lot of beers in a ride home that's what that would have happened for me uh send it to Taylor Swift yeah right she's just having the glorious year good for her I saw I saw Travis Kelsey's mother interviewed yeah and they asked her what was it like meeting Taylor Swift and what was she like and Travis Kelsey's mother said it was okay not like oh she was lovely she was Charming she was wonderful mama knows she can't gush and blow up Travis's spot she's just gotta play Mama went yeah it was okay yeah right yeah I mean think about it her sons have afforded her the superow like two sons in the Super Bowl this woman has handled press oh yeah and also she said something else in an interview that I thought was really good she was just like my son's an adult I'm not going to talk to you about his love life like this is not my business to talk about this is yeah thanks for having me on the show but I'm not going to talk about that right and they asked her about the relationship and she said oh you know it's it's it it's it's too early yeah but the just okay about meeting Taylor Swift I thought was like oh that's it she's played it cool good for you Mama Kelsey she's okay she's not she was very nice she's lovely she nothing okay do you imagine raising those two boys must have been absolute hell so this is her time imine and she's going on I a Today's Show is somewhere with her her cookie recipes all over that's it she's Liv her best life good for you oh yeah she'll be doing the Campbell Soup does she do a Campbell soup commercial already uh maybe maybe she might be the new Chunky's mom I think she is yeah come to think of it yeah I think she is the new I'm just waiting to see what my kids will bring me other than debt so we'll see well you you you've got a potential pro athlete in the family possible well we'll see he's got a lot of work to do he's young he's young has potential yes he does um and then uh my daughter who I toured colleges with how was that it it was just a a whole she's one of those emotional she's very I don't know she's very emotional so she really fell in love with the first school but then really like the opportunities of the second school but it was too big and then really didn't like the she's just a mess she doesn't know what to do so you went to St Joe's first yep and Salem Salem State no I know I know no s Salem State but they've got a great theater program and she's a theater kid and they don't have that at St Joe's so Salem State has has gone through financial difficulties a couple of times yeah well it's huge university oh yeah I think it's it's the biggest in New England yeah for theater no for everything oh Salem State yes I don't know I don't know about that but take a look okay um and one of the most affordable also right and so that's it she doesn't want to saddle us with debt which I appreciate sweet and and the third one you went to so we're looking at UMass we're going to UVM St Mike's St Joe's there's a lot it's it makes me laugh about the Catholic colist which this is a child that didn't want to be confirmed didn't want to finish any of that but then asked me the other day Mom can I go to confession well F heal stuck in Jerusalem right now I got that email yesterday so we Christ the King p nurse and I get the email Father hil's in the Dead Sea with a bunch of other people they're going to Jerusalem on Monday he doesn't know what's going on in the news we'll pray for him I'm like what don't be sending him into that yep Sunday morning Sunday morning at Mass we offered prayers for father Healey could you imagine you're like I'm with my church group I'm just gonna go and then missiles no right uh so my husband was asking me do do we want to visit Dubai absolutely no I mean yes I do but I'm not a place that doesn't want me there was a there was I don't want to go to a place that doesn't want me I I happen to be going through going through the living room there was a contestant last night on The Voice from Dubai it's it looks so cool oh yeah it's one of the richest countries in the world we don't have Dubai money and also they don't like women I'm good right they're not too they're not too well I guess they are kind of bad oh they're not as bad as as some of the others but yeah I'm not not a play if they don't want me I don't want to be there you would you would look good in a veil I mean it it'd be fine but I'm I don't feel like I need to do that because I I just I'm not going to put myself in a space where I have to dress differently okay I mean I'm all fine for dressing up or dressing down and being respectful but also why go to a place that doesn't doesn't treat women well no thank you just not gonna do it not the mama exactly oh debah I was in those fancy seats those seats made my day putham club putham club is wonderful yeah good morning Kayla how are you my son told me he wanted to start going to church and I almost fell out of my seat see it's not just me and good morning Dan it happens whatever I'm fine with it I found my religion several times especially when I was in the military it was just a place of sess for me also I didn't have to wash floors on Sundays if he went to church so I went to all of them I went and saw all of the different religions I did Episcopal Mass had the best cookie and snacks so I really ended up it's like Catholic light yeah yeah Episcopal mass is pretty much the same it's just a little outdated yeah not not quite as up to date as cathol once again good snacks and like a good after church chat that was nice right um the Baptist Mass lasted all day but it was very fun going to a Southern Baptist Church very hallelujah oh it was a lot it was it was a lot to process and I did I felt like I was like in a TV version of church it was It was kind of cool so I I did enjoy going to the different services and seeing how people spent their religious Sundays yeah well the Baptists and like that they really get into it well some do and some don't yeah but they really love their music programs and they love yeah and I I love that obviously like music so I it was very it was my own little I don't know theological experiment it went well I enjoyed it all good still Catholic good so yeah Catholic music it's it's not the music itself it's the people who perform the music in a Catholic Church no it's all the same quite and but also with all due respect why am I saying with all due respect so much this I know right just say what you want you know nine times out of 10 it's some lady singing who's got this high pitched wobbly voice yeah and it's like no you know you can do you can do better Christ the King they do do better yeah the uh um the choir at 10:30 is fabulous they've they've got a guy who's there sometimes who sounds like Josh groin oh and he's like okay I'll sit here and listen to this guy's thing all day see that's nice yeah it's like a little private concert right I know everybody likes this um this church over here on 151 um Pastor Ben feldott does a really nice job yeah um and their music program is ridiculous I mean they've got a concert hall in there it's pretty incredible just had somebody was it there not too long ago somebody who was like a semi-finalist on on American Idol oh yeah yeah that does um Rel ddy Goki yes I don't know where I pulled that out of but yeah wow yep and they had a huge crowd yeah and they do a lot of community stuff at Halloween they do oh yeah their trunker treats their trunker treat and and no they they're they're really really good over there with their Community work thank you yeah that trunker treat has ruined um the Halloween yeah it has in our neighborhood we don't really we used to get so many kids so many kids now no we put the bucket of candy out and we came home and it was still there I was a little sad about it I wanted at least one teenage jerk to come over and empty the bowl nothing it was my teenage jerks who ended up eating it all probably leading to my daughter's root canal so there's that good morning Lauren at Heritage at in Sandwich Trunk or Treat I think is at Heritage and the and the police department run it ago and and that's when we started going there and and we still see every time we go my father-in-law's best friend um my father-in-law passed away 10 years ago um but but we still go see um Andy and Julie who by the way are are listeners and Watchers of us sometimes on um hi on Tuesday Mornings hi Andy and Julie if you're out there we'll we'll see you Monday I think um so Mariana goes to a place down there for like dolphin camp or something right yeah we went to this is just me and Mari going this is our vacation but in in um in June Mariana went to the uh clear water marine aquarium for Camp cool dolphin Camp yeah and it was just well we went to the Dolphin Research Center so I get to hang we could have swam with the dolphins but I chose not to because that water looked really disgusting oh well they do poop it it it looks vile so we got to like hang out with all of the Dolphins and they like they're so beautiful oh my God it it's kind of freaks me out with their like eyes are on you like they're really like talking to you like just hanging out having this conversation with you none of them like all of them are various they're all captive forever right because they don't know how to defend themselves in the wild but to have these basically like play pens of dolphins that all just like live there permanently and they live forever like 6 years old yeah it's wild um but one of them had a baby in the wild so there was like a little one learning all the commands and stuff so I sat there for like a full hour I'm like I'm good I got the baby right right but it is if if you've never done it folks just look at look at one like Steph said and they look at you and they're looking at you I know they're they're they're processing it's kind of freaky yeah well that's so dang smart I know and one of them was following one kept whistling at me one kept like fluk tail fluking at me one kept whistling at you I know it made it kept making this weird noise a construction worker that's what I felt like a construction dolphin I was Cat calleded by a dolphin it's weird hey oh Dan yeah it was totally sketchy um hey Ryan what's up and Dan Chase said I used to live in our neighborhood and yeah it did completely Wipe Out the trick-or-treaters so Dan has a um horror movie podcast that's right that he does with his girlfriend Lacy and they're really like heavily followed they get some really amazing guests and this is your holy High season right now my friend I don't even know how you have time for me right now you are just getting you Friday the 13th and Halloween two fun things in a month that's a lot that's a lot to process for you yeah it's got to be Blood and Guts and costumes everywhere I haven't decided what our couple costume is I think I've decided but I I haven't decided yet oh all right I thought I had it yesterday and then I'm like no so cliff and I always try and do fun couple costumes that are not like ones everybody else is doing not the popular ones but also ones that people can recognize right not the there's nothing worse than dressing up in a costume that someone's like and who are you oh well and then you have to explain who your costume is that's just not fun couple of couple of times Mari and I went as a um as a priest and a nun oh there you go how a reverent of you and apparently everyone thought I looked theart kinda I I yeah and they looked at Mar as a nun and they went no that's not happening that's not happening no we can maybe we can see father Hank but sister Mar no no no no no oh see he's going to meet a bunch of the Friday the 13th Act and I'm bringing my dog Dewey and yes he has a costume already that's awesome yay well listen when I went to Salem State it was the day before October 1st and it was already psychotic I had to park at the um train station there are two roads getting in and out of Salem so if you think you're just sit on a drive up there please just take the train take the train and you'll alleviate so many problems get it right out of Plymouth if you want to puts you right into the thick of it right into Salem and then you don't have to drive in there because driving through that area is mind-numbing and there's no parking anywhere and there's no space for you and the amount of people that were already there touring was insane to me yeah uh Channel 4 in Boston the other morning interviewed the good witch um I love it as as as part of the you know the hype for what's going on up in Salem and she's got a book out and I mean the person played the part really really well but but that's what they that's what they were saying yeah you know take the train please don't try to drive in here it's because it used to be just the weekend and now it's become they had over a million tourists last year after coid after all the drama over a million people in that very small square is a lot of people I was gonna say it's not that big an area no no it isn't and it was just my you know my daughter and her little witchy proclivities so were driving in and she's like you know they weren't even I was like oh maybe that's where they were burned none of them were burned you know oh okay they were they were smashed with wrong oh thank you that's wrong everything that I said it was like it mom you don't know anything you're not all crummy what was it what was it I don't know what was it no no no no she said you all crummy no no no I left no crumbs left no crumbs okay that's right that's a different thing left no crumbs that's a different thing that means it's good okay that means you ate it up left no crumbs okay once again scrolling tiktock I posted a meme today and it was Drew Barrymore from when she went back to school Never Been Kissed did you ever see that movie where she was pretending to be a high school student I probably Sur a it and so it's just it was one of those moments where I'm like I don't know what we're what are we saying here what are we talking about kids I don't know these words right I don't know anything um so yeah I I was told I was put on red on what all the Halloween things were when I was there so apparently I'm not up to my knowledge of which things now you know I'm I'm learning here I'm just a student forever student I have a I have a former student um she lives in New Orleans now and she's doing ghost tours yep I love it which seems kind of cool we've got a big ghost tour happening this Friday uh sandwich chamber is putting that on shout out Christine andr good to see you last night tickets are still available but it's a big to-do Guy this is the Paranormal guy yeah what time what time is it gonna be I don't know it's probably like seven or eight o'clock at night oh okay I know I'm DJing a party we're gonna be awake said to me I live in the The Villages and and she said to me there are lots of ghosts in The Villages said to me still alive though G she said can we walk around the neighborhood so many people have died here I'm sure there are some I well yeah oh it gets better it gets better we were coming in the other day and and ambulance is leaving and she looks and she goes Papa think we can get the listing God I love that kid oh I know she's a hoot but straight-faced you know I oh yeah like she she meant it oh she meant it oh yeah can we get the loose thing raising him right Hank that's what I say that's right she's Chasing Ghosts and getting ready to list things to real estate that's right she's she's going to become a lawyer ambulances she's going places she is Dan says he's in a bunch of Salem tourist groups and it's hilarious when someone says hey thinking of driving into Salem for Halloween followed by 20 people going no right oh I bet debah says Mariana takes after her Chi-Chi she does that's awesome that's true because if Mario was in the car sheo would said to me what street did that come out of so you know yeah she's right well you know you got to get you got to get it while it's good Hank that's right got to jump on those listings does anybody know the kids who's getting that in the will right that is so good so good well I think we talked about all the stuff that we wanted to talk about today did we cover everything oh we we didn't do the mp uh MP messenger controversy um once again I'm sitting next to a famous person M talking sense Hank you reasonable talking sense on one of the Towny Pages we love our towy Pages here we really do fabulous Falmouth changed the name to what I don't know for something something else in Falmouth well the page rioted the pagee was on fire last week I meant to talk about this so I did want to talk about some of our local towy pages on the upper cape and uh yeah fabulous fouth changed it to I don't know something fancy and fouth I I don't even know hi Don joining us from the West Coast nice nice and early over there at 5: am so um the entire page was freak why do we have to change the name of it this is wrong then it became political it wasn't even about what they were saying it just became political and I feel like one two three gets political shut it down because I can't I can't deal with it somebody that was a fan of our show was like you guys should start talking politics I was like absolutely not there's enough of that crap to go around and no one needs to hear my opinion my opinion is not GNA sway anybody else's opinion you're still gonna have your opinion so I'm not GNA talk about it it's foolish that's not a good place to be no but you kind of stepped into it a little bit over yes my wife doesn't know that I did um because um because it's not always good for business but you said sensical things you wer rude and you didn't it there was a there was a there was a post on on the masp um messenger page oh my God I just heard on the radio there's going to be 600 immigrants living on the base what about our veterans that's an inciting comment right there oh and the page just exploded and they posted it anonymously anous so that was just one of those things where um I'm bored right now let's start a fire and the page just exploded first of all may I opinionate it shouldn't be veterans versus immigrants we should have take we should have been taking care of the veterans all along this shouldn't even be an issue I agree so that's just please don't don't go there they do seem to have weaponized veterans exactly veterans that's that's a good word to use as um just a talking point of oh yeah well we should have done this well the hell didn't you right not to say that they're on groups on Cape Cod and and elsewhere that try to do things for veterans but I know from my days at United Way and I left United Way in 2008 the issues with veterans in terms of homelessness in terms of mental health in terms of drug abuse been around forever and quite frankly nobody ever gave a damn yeah right and now all of a sudden they've been they've been weaponized to be used against quote unquote immigrants so at any rate the page exploded and finally some people started jumping in and saying wait a minute shouldn't allow Anonymous postings like this yeah and I was one of the people commenting and saying I'm fine for anonymous posts when it's like I can't pay my rent exactly or I need food today like that is what our Towny pages should be doing Dan being real Cape I'm contractually obligated to stay out of those towy groups sometimes they're really ridiculous this was a moment where it was really ridiculous but when you need to post anonymously because it's private or you're embarrassed I totally get posting anonymously and those should be allowed if you're seeking some help of some sort but this was not this was I'm gonna start a fire here let's light it up right pour some gasoline on I'm bored so so what happened is some people started jumping in I I was one of them who said at least the administrators of the page knew know who the anonymous poster is right if something like this happens maybe they should just get in touch to the person and say what are you doing yeah that's all you had said yeah so what happened though was a day or so later the admins of the of the page got back on and they said you know what we've been thinking about this and we've thought about it no more Anonymous post unless you know you're looking for for help and then the person who was apparently the anonymous poster decided not to be anonymous anymore popped on and then and then it's like Biden and Trump and liberal and conser and it's like shoot me they all suck okay it has nothing to do they're all terrible Biden Trump liberal conservative has nothing to do with your little Towny news page where where where somebody writes um I nominate Hank for speaker of the house what happened at the what happened at the selman's meeting last night it just but everything has just been I know we weren't going to talk politics but everything has just been so politicized ridiculous actually painful and it's to our detriment we're the ones who are losing here oh yeah it's it's not great yeah Lynn people legitimately speaking of people I got to wish our and then coming home though with those stay and flies those parking rides yeah trying to get them to show up is that tough we landed in Boston I called as we were walking to get our luggage shutt will be there in 15 minutes okay 45 minutes later my husband calls uh shuttle will be there in about 25 minutes he's like what what you're five minutes away I timed it when they finally picked us up five minutes away from the thing and then they were like oh no you have to be upstairs pickup is only upstairs today what you didn't tell me that the last time I called no we sat there with everybody else with the schlubs in the bus line this one's going here have you seen this hotel no no have you seen this hotel no 400 people down there waiting for their hotel shuttles it was the worst experience I've ever had so I don't know I think I'm just gonna go and call call one of our taxi friends yeah and have it done that way our our buddy there is in the hospital right I know hope he's doing well I know we love you Michael hope you get better yep we're having we're having one of one of his one of his um um Associates pick us up when we come back good um on on Friday and someone's driving us off I don't know I'll trust him just get me out of here just get me out of here you know it's the perfect time now that the cold has hit us yes I like I liked it to be honest when I got off the plane after dealing with a week of Miami I was like yes this is much nicer here in the cold I will take 50 degrees any day well we played golf yesterday Mari and Mariana and I and um it was great yeah you know it was just warm enough yep um but just cool enough so it was um it was it was fun and everybody played pretty well and we had a we had a good time so you know and then we went to lunch and we all went home and took naps that sounds like a really good day much better than spending money to go see the Patriots right and then we went to tomatoes you had a party yesterday that's a good extra day I know it no we we we took advantage we took advantage of it but it's one of those weird holidays though where not everybody has it as a holiday yeah it's one of those swap holidays you know you work Columbus Day but you can have I don't know Good Friday off or or whatever yeah um but I know I know a lot of people were um a lot of people were working tough when the kids are home from school but and I don't even know what to call what yesterday was indigenous people's day we've moved on we've moved on except if you're on Rhode Island it's Columbus Day yeah and and in Rhode Island they reput up or they put up for the first time in some other different location a statue of Christopher Columbus and there was all kinds of hooting and hollering about that you know what it's history it happened in every single other Society has done horrible things right and and I feel like once again it's just like when your kids hear bad words we just move on right let's not go there anymore we just don't do that anymore that was bad we acknowledge it was bad let's move on and be better people right I mean yesterday was also Leaf Ericson day do we want to celebrate the man who you know murdered Millions no no probably not but it's still his day hey but you know what we all go to Europe we all go to Rome let's tear down the Coliseum bad stuff happened at the colise shall we it's just part of History it's one of those things that you have to remember and remember how bad it was now we're now we're here like you can look back and see it from the other side and remember or use that as a space that all right we've grown from that can you believe we did that now we're here we don't do that anymore right that's bad you go to you go we're better you go to museum in Rome here's the bath that that that bathtub that allegedly Nero fiddled in as Rome burnt well we better put that away because isn't that weird why do we do that I don't know it's celebrated we actually go and visit it yes yeah it's right there it's a big you can see it and it's like but here in the states like take it down we don't want to see it that's disgusting want to see it because thousands of people and with all K with all due respect you know there kind of leave that leave your with all due respect at home next time okay we're not sorry about it we're just talking about it this is a therapy here in with beards I loved it it was such a good time so yeah we're gonna have a Disney themed week this uh this Wednesday we'll have at least one game for the kids so please come out and support us over at
