saraphina and I were in a entrepreneurial book club where Stephanie never read the right book and Stephanie was terrible at this book club I really suo at CL I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual had a visual proud of it hold how was your weekend not too bad actually I was like were you nodding off no no no my eyes are just just just my eyes you're a mess they're yeah yeah no it I mean it sounds so counterintuitive when they're really really wet they're really really dry and I'm just and I'm just pumping those you know fake tears into my eyes oh yeah when I get up in the morning that that only seems to make it worse I had an eye exam fairly recently to take care of myself my eyes got better oh they did mine mine mine mine were pretty much the same I mean I've got that old person slowly going glowing blind thing well that's I'm married to that person going on okay yeah um he can see about eight words to a page when he look reads books on his phone oh okay oh he's really worse than me literally eight words I said to the doctor s seriously can we correct this $11,000 later leaving the uh eye doctor wasn't correct I don't know they haven't come yet no I actually I actually did get a prescription for real reading glasses yeah um because I use cheaters and and they're they're okay yeah but the difference between one eye and the other eye is kind of is kind of aggressive yeah yeah and I get glasses to drive at night because I've I've discovered that I am not as much of a fan of driving at night as I used to be yeah it happens so you know trying to see street signs and stuff particularly when I don't know where I'm going which is most of the time because I have no sense of direction anyway well and also you've got a wife that's in real estate you're in real estate you're always going to new places well no no no no no no no when I have my wife who's in real estate I don't have to worry about where I'm going oh it's when I'm on my own and I have to find where I'm going that I have problems if I have saw that post of your wife's if I have my yes yes oh she loves to post that one um if I have my wife with me there's no question where I'm going left right stop here you see this stop sign up dat see I mean it's it's just she is just so we're just being helpful she is so typical I can't believe there are so many of you out there that so many husbands get the same joke my husband will pull over sometimes and he's said go go for it you're going to tell me how to do it anyway so you go for it no no no that's all right no no we're just an extra set of eyes we're just being helpful yeah and after going through and watching his exam he needs my eyes what's up Chris hi Mari and hello and morning Mar we were just talking about you Lov Emily lovingly of course of course today is National shop for travel day I swear I didn't make it up and uh we have got a trip that I'm so looking forward to yes you do the Western Caribbean with lemono and um our travel advisor sent me pictures of baby sloths I saw that this morning there's also monkeys these are on my bucket list of things that I want to hold I think the sloths the baby sloths are so cool looking right I'm very much looking forward to this in Raton also I was a little freaked out though so I've been watching this documentary series that this don't die have you seen this guy no so basically he's a tech billionaire and he's got nothing but time on his hand so he's decided to figure out how to reverse aging oh okay so he takes over 100 supplements a day he takes blood tests throughout the day and he eats whatever his blood test tells him his body needs oh okay so he's taken six years uh he's given himself six more years to his life oh oh he thinks he looks like his son like he is actually reverse aging he went to Raton okay which Apparently that is where they have clinics in which they're allowed to do this genetic oh testing sort of DNA enhancement whatnot MH so I was like that's kind of scary is that we're going to a place yes where they they're just freely allowing people to experiment on humans right right this one small sector on a private island in which he's going to get all of this but apparently he's increased his muscle mass by 7% but guess what buddy it's not your decision yeah right I was like Ben gets hit by a car right right yeah not your call you know when when they you know they wake up well of course they don't wake up because there is no sense of time up there and they look oh here's the list for today okay Lisa did you see that his whole day is consumed by like eating the things that he needs to eat to stay alive I mean he has kind of grown little Cults all around the world with his don't die t-shirts and um Walkers and hikers and people I mean I do get the option if you can take care of your body then you should probably do that a little bit better oh sure we all should right we all try yeah we don't always succeed but we all try but how much is too much he lives to try and live longer it's very bizarre but then you're not living right at all because you're obsessed with yeah yeah and goes to bed at 8:30 every night and is up at 4:30 every morning okay to start his regimen well he sounds like an old person that's amazing Lisa you saw it hello and good morning Miss Denise doesn't necessarily have to be a wife just a female good morning Nate good morning from Morgan Town West Virginia thanks for checking in RTV why bother so much work to live like that to live six more years it's too much yeah way too much I mean he was getting like blood facials and all kinds of weird stuff like the stuff he's got to be incredibly narcissistic I don't know if it's that I just he's onto like he's doing all the research he's got this blueprint for whatever he's making a program out of it he's selling all the garbage that ingesting himself so he's definitely making money off of it of course of course he's a human guinea pig mhm you can monetize anything if you can monetize it then you can do it I don't think I've ever wanted something so badly that I would give myself the human guinea pig Avenue of life no thank you right blood facials you got to watch it it's it's fascinating you can't take your eye away from this guy and watch I heard that too blood facials but I let it go I I don't watching the transformation I don't want to know um it it is January we are halfway through it for all of our people that are counting every day of dry January or people that are trying something new on for size you would not be able to tell it was uh Monday in January yesterday at the uh ribbon cutting of UA wine bar in mashby oh really it was jumping thank you everyone that came out to support this new business people have been waiting for that because that's been that's that that has a very good location right on the corner there when you come to mashby Commons and has been coming soon for a while now y so everyone has had a chance to to look at it and okay when is this coming when is this coming they open the day after Christmas and uh we had the official ribbon cutting yesterday super cute Place great idea and you can get wine two four or 6 ounce pores and pour it yourself good right that's nice yeah it's a cute little meeting place so if you're looking for a place to pass some time while somebody in your life is shopping might be a good spot for you okay and thank you very much to mash PTV over there covering all of the the shenanigans that were breaking loose well I think one of those Facebook pages the Cap Cod women over 50 got a hold of it and uh they ran with it oh really it has now become one of their monthly meeting spots oh I can imagine oh yeah I love it it's perfect there's a Facebook page Cape Cod women over 50 yeah it's huge I did not well why would I know that there is a giant social aspect of their Gatherings they have all kinds of stuff they were the ones who sold out our cabin fever party last year over at Sea Dog oh okay I got a CO call hi we need 60 tickets what what who are you I love you but who are you right we want our own private room I'm like I think we could do this for you sure so yeah there it's a great group and they just like to socialize and have a good time do they read books too sometimes to go with the wine there's all different stuff that goes along within there some of them like people to go work out with them some of them like people to go and do outings some like some new skills ah some like meditation they all just it's a billion events for them to go and know that you're going to have somebody in your age bracket and mental space to connect with very nice speaking of working out I start with Miss Bri today oh look at you I love that yep Mari and I are both going to going to learn from Miss Bri perfect yep get a little flexibility a little movement in your life yep I'm I'm planning on it I'll get back there yeah I'll let you know how it is okay than you all right I almost got over there yesterday my gym clothes are packed in my car they're packed in the car and where's the car by the way in the mash B comments we ended up with two cars my husband has this thing he hates us both having separate cars when we ride around town okay so we just happen to be in the same spot my son had foot uh basketball practice over at the tribe yesterday and we were doing stuff in the Commons well you should have warned me because I had this o poop moment when I drove around the corner where is she and and there was no lemonade car and first thing I did was okay do did I miss a text message no so where am I supposed to be because I usually park behind you yeah because I know you're not going anywhere for the hour you're here and I don't park behind Cliff because well you didn't have any of those problems you just pull right on in I well I did I I I I was just befuddled not unusual but I'm befuddled I know no I parked it who that happened to me one other time over the Christmas holiday season where I was running around doing some shopping stuff and Chris Ball says where's your car in the mby comons because I left it there I was like I didn't have a banger of a night or anything where I had to leave my car behind he's like I just wanted to know who you were hooking up with I wish the story was a lot better than that it's just my husband doesn't like to he likes to have all of in one car there you go Chris that's how you do it so Lily went back to college on Sunday byebye yes there was a story the um on the sandwich police blog they were called to a home to um take care of an incident between a child home from college and their parents uh it was described as they um there was a um disagreement over the food that was being served okay so the child agreed to stay in his her room until it are you king me the police had to be called for this yes yep Y and of course the police had to be called actually the police were called by the guy who drove his car into the bank at 3:30 yesterday morning did you see the photos of this it looks exactly like this guy thought it was a drive up ATM I'm just going to drive right through the middle of this bank and apparently he tried a couple of times because it's bang bang Bang Yeah 3:30 in the morning and then he called the police on himself then he called the police on himself self yeah obviously he was in an altered state yeah that's that's not uh that's not good no good morning Nate says my biggest goal this year is to get in shape walking up and down this West Virginia Hills it's a fun natural cardio I bet yes and there is and there are a lot of Hills where you are n yeah for sure Mary Jane Megan Lenor how are things going um with all of your uh Reclamation of belonging I feel so bad she was part of that fire that was her business and lost a lot of antiques and a lot of really beautiful artwork and stuff that her and Woody had been collecting yes uh how is everything going this morning I don't know too early to tell Emily what's up Lou thanks for joining us the heat is on we're getting ready to blast off that's it we absolutely are that is being replaced hopefully from our friend Steve we are what less than a week away from Tik Tok being taken from us maybe speaking of blast off maybe there's a there's a proposal um that's being discussed now to extend the the ban of the necessary sale or whatever by 270 days I don't know I don't understand why they're forcing the sale and then everybody's running over to rednote which is owned by the Chinese as well which is also owned by I because it it's just a dumb idea and I don't care I mean well the Supreme Court said it was okay but whatever you can't you can't pass a you can't pass the law saying you have to sell your business yeah you can't do that apparently you can now but I mean that's really crazy yeah never and I just didn't think that that was possible I don't think it's ever happen hav't they learned the government that they can't tell us that we can't do things because then we'll just do them kind of like being parent don't do that good morning Cindy how the heck are you oh my God it's Stephanie and Hank yes we're here yay the heat was definitely on yesterday I was dying well that office is where it all goes apparently we're working on how to fix that sorry it was like my mother-in-law's house uh why nursing home hot warm nursing oh yeah my mother-in-law is like and she's under a blanket and it's like the Bahamas no thank you y Megan said I'd rather walk the hills of Virginia than hyana Mall Planet Fitness isn't it so hard January is one of those months where regular gym goers hate the people that have not been going to the gym all year long it makes parking tough for them they're in their way they've got to share the machines they know they're not going to be there very long well this this this past Friday was the day that most people have quit their resolution by so now is the time to start right right because most of the people have quit guess it's like two weeks and he decided I can't do this yeah good morning Denise most people I feel like are like me where it's I have to decide in my brain when I'm ready and it's not going to be a calendar that's going to do that for me one is an artificial yeah something's gonna give I'm gonna get sick of looking at something I'm gonna be irritated it's just like when any task needs to be done if I get annoyed by it enough then it'll get done but only until then it's gonna become so egregious where I'm like fine I'll do it you've worn me down serious this is pretty much the only way that I do things oh okay it's broken so much that I can no longer stand it I'll get it done right tired of listening to your voice I don't know why it has to be so extreme like that it's like when you have to finally scream at your children and then they're like why are you yelling at me I didn't do anything anything because you didn't listen to me the 400 times I told you to do it but you didn't tell me to St right exactly this I I am this also with all the things I have to do okay it's been very eye opening now that I've seen what my problem is it's called procrastination well at least you've recognized your problem thank you Han and now we can deal with it going forward welcome everyone to our therapy session this morning we are adding some new Tunes to Lemon Ado how have uh your weekend show has been going a little bit later yes I I like it a little bit later I'm a little more a little bit more awake and I got to say I love that blue show the music music is so flipping good and you keep adding some new tracks too every time I put some new stuff in I'm like I've never heard of this song what is this no I'm always I'm I'm always looking the Jazz I mean I love the Jazz show too but that's a different type of you know that's the Sunday morning kind of ease into your day have a cup of coffee get get slowly rolling VI but the um the blue show you know sometimes the way the playlist goes you can you can be up and and and dancing around the kitchen at 8:05 yeah we like that because of because of what's being played there's just you know it's too bad there are all kinds of jazz performers for sure and blues performers as well that that just don't get any any recognition and it's so it's so crazy because if you go out to a club if you go out to a bar and there's a blues band everybody goes yeah and everybody's up dancing all night long yeah but then that doesn't translate into well let's let's see you know who are the decent Blues performers out there that that you know we can we can listen to to kind of continue continue the vibe so um that's why um a number of reasons why I think that show is just so important so that people can hear um you know the real good blues music that's out there and it's not all sad yeah you know it's it's not all she and Jazz isn't all elevator music either I think no no I can't stand that I don't I I don't play that and I don't play the the the you know chy chy bang bang where's the where's the melody stuff you know you can't hum along to most of it you know like one slips in there every now and then but good morning noren and hey Gloria how are you you're always planning a trip you're always doing something fun I very much live vicariously through you so thank you for sharing all of that I was having a conversation with um another uh former chamber member worker and uh we were just going over some old events and planning some new events and uh one of our friends over at town hall Deb was loving the bring back the night of a hundred wines and I said 'th night of a 100 Wines a I'm wondering why that went away probably problematic but B what was at the night of a 100 Wines right so then we were doing some digging through some of the archives at the chamber and I was like oh here it is you know it was wine some light bites some groups of people and also smooth jazz I was like I I don't know maybe it was the Jazz wasn't good I don't know the smooth jazz will kill it not there's anything wrong with smooth jazz but trust me it'll kill it yeah the word smooth do not no no does not make me want to jump up and do things no Yanni does not no can't do it can't do it no nope nope nope nope nope so our jazz is jumping and what I'm saying to you is you need to listen to HK show on weend right that's right and speaking of the chamber we are friends with the first executive director of the masch chamber P Pat Piva oh okay who works for the uh board of realtors now very cool yes yes you you should you should have a chat with her sometime absolutely uh she has stories I can only imagine yes I would love to hear those stories just because it makes me feel better about the work that I'm doing right now it is the it's a very bizarre job in what way and the conversations that you have on the daily basis that are all very different and I now have a phone that Rings directly on my desk for years and years there has not been a phone it's just gone it's gone to a voicemail it's gone to email and then you've listened to it afterwards so I was like okay can I get a regular phone in here so now I get all kinds of crazy phone calls oh all right oh it's great it's almost like crazy crime but I should make a segment called crazy phone calls oh people asking you questions the most random things oh we don't know the answer to this Dimension correct I was like maybe you should call Town Hall I don't know good luck have a nice day right thanks for thinking of us yeah call the building department please here the phone number if you can't find it very very funny questions but I enjoy them okay maybe we're G have to start compiling them and sharing them with you yeah it sounds like you should it sounds like some of the stuff we'll leave the names and the and the crazies out we'll just tell you the story that's it good morning Miss Trish thanks for joining us she says hello Hank hello hi Kate thanks for joining us as well so it's Tuesday we're almost halfway through January who's already quit their resolutions who never made them to quit them I don't who's working towards a better you in 25 right a nice a nicer you yeah I mean I don't know you're right New Year say me New Year say me I mean you know after all this time I ain't changing much I saw that it's work till now Oscar nominees they're pushing them back until January 23rd because of the wildfires oh okay in La yeah that looks awful oh that's GNA be and and the stupid things that people are saying like if there are only more fire hydrants no it's the winds it's the winds yeah there's nothing that they can do about it I I I saw an explanation from um Los Angeles firefighter to fight any normal house fire they need at least two vehicles there are 8 to 10,000 homes blazing up right now or have well multiply that by two 20,000 fire trucks yeah I mean that's not going to happen I've seen a lot of people starting some fundraiser efforts I just want to caution you before you start giving away all of your money there are so many scammers in times like this it's very unfortunate that there are some scams that are prevalent right now and people are just falling into it and giving out their information so be diligent make sure you know where you're giving your money go with the organizations you've heard of United Way yeah the Red Cross yep um if there's a local TV station that's that a radio station that's doing fundraising do that you know do that but these you're right but these ad hoc committees the chances are just as good that they're illegit as they're not legit yeah and and you're right people will take we saw that I mean I was involved in in the um in the Station nightclub fire um response in is all those years ago and one of the things that we had to kind of you know Tamp down when United Way got involved was these ad hoc kind of fundraising committees and they weren't happy with us yeah but it was like no yeah you really can't you you know you really can't do that you got to focus your efforts there was no guarantee and the and the um and the problem is isn't the collecting of the money it's the how do you distribute it and I mean a lot of the banks and restaurants and and and bars in Rhode Island right after the Station nightclub fire you know they put out jars and of course some people nobody knows what to do some people sto the jars but it came down to and the reason why United Way got involved was governor kacheri came to us and said you guys know how to give out the money yeah I mean even the banks didn't know they didn't have they could collect the money but the banks didn't have the apparatus to figure out okay how who gets one wi how exactly do we give this out right right so that's why you know we all ended up it was the best thing I think I've ever done in my career also the most disheartening thing I've ever done yeah that's awful it was it was just stories I could tell it's early in the morning I won't but but stories I could tell that no but that was one fire this is so many out there and so many things it's just really awful so Cindy said she saw a video of a fire tornado it looked like an Apocalypse movie yeah it's insane insane yeah um Mari says California Association of realtor relief funds that's another one I know yep Trish said she's just going to get meter in 25 I tried I can't stand these people I'm just gonna get meaner well hey it's a goal I mean you have to have a goal right isn't that the purpose you need goals to start the new year it's a goal so I saw this article today and it was as we're talking about New Year and some new habits and whatnot it was 14 brilliant habits of high Achievers who actually work less than the rest of us okay I'm in so I'm like all right I'll bite let's see what these these habits are of these high Achievers let's bring it because I'm retired and I'm working more than I ever have so let's go right they celebrate micro winds okay micro wins yep it's easy to get wrapped up and worry about the end goal and it makes you stressed and it makes you feel sick okay so if you celebrate the steps in which you've cross that off your to-do list and I've got to give a shout out to my friend Marty brel over at the greater highend his chamber who had the best advice for me when I was taking this job as you got 10 things on your list Stephanie and you check two off celebrate it it was a good day oh boy it was a good day so celebrate your micro winds which I can get on boor with uh they rest a pace of Modern Life can make it challenging to prioritize the rest take your rest I'm very bad about that I need to be better about that oh I'm good at taking a power now always have been that's not that's not new to me well that's good though yeah they prioritize their own identity to succeed in your work life you must prioritize your personal life if you give yourself more time to focus on your identity and interests you'll have more mental Clarity I do feel like there is something to be said for having a little bit of autonomy yes I'm going away without my husband without my children without my things and I'm just going to take in this this time that has been gifted to me very nice and I'm very much looking forward to it I'm sure you are for my own mental Clarity I'm sure you are so that people around here don't die okay they delegate this is this is an emerging skill of mine if we were going to give it a report card what how are you doing with delegating right now not great oh okay needs Improvement yes definitely needs Improvement it's emerging skill Hank Okay isn't that the nice way of saying not yet there you go okay emerging skill all right very good let's face it you can do everything yourself if you tried to you go crazy that's why delegating specific tasks and responsibilities and you don't know how to do everything yourself should trust no you don't I don't I ask for help all the time sometimes they delegate though and it falls on deaf ears and then nothing gets done and then I'm like why was that not done MH oh I didn't know how to do it either oh great why didn't you say that when done it it's a black hole around here they book end their day getting caught in your workday responsibilities is easy so you might find a way to do something fun in the morning or do something for yourself in the morning and do something all at night as well book end your day oh okay so I'm like all right that's the thing I can get into right having something to look forward to at the end and the beginning of the day right so that you can get through the piece of the day that is the hardest got it okay oh hi good morning Ashley I'm shut off my ringer over here they oh you not me this time I know right um they accomplish the most critical work task first this is something so the hardest thing of your day you do right away get out of the way oh okay sometimes I'm good like that sometimes I avoid it all day now the other advice you hear is is to pick off a couple of the things that are easy to do so you immediately have to get the ball rolling that's the flip side there's two two schools of thought on that one they take brain breaks every minutes what is that a great strategy to improve your productivity and motivation is to take brain breaks every 30 minutes in this digital age we spend an entire work day at screens so your physical and mental health need to step away every so often okay I definitely suffer from this where I get Tunnel Vision on a task and then I don't walk away from things and then I can't see anything anyway and I become blurry eyed and crazy right and then you get nothing done right okay so maybe I need to just start sending in well my husband got me a a Apple watch that I'm not wearing okay I haven't figured out how to plug it into the thing to charge it but I I maybe I'll plug in some like 30 minutes move your body right we'll see oh yeah I love it when mine goes it looks like you're exercising should we start the counter like you're just stressed out you're breathing heavy cuz went up a flight of stairs right yeah something like that looks like your ex good for you good for me slob I'll give you the reports from my watch it's not going to be great at first it's not gonna be great um people with great habits brilliant habits they ask for help they clarify expectations before getting started on something they use the 531 strategy in a Tik Tok Isis Briana explain the 531 strategy in a what in a Tik Tok we still have it we're still allowed oh okay this isn't a secret from the Chinese there are some educational things on I know there are President Trump likes Tik Tok too so let's not let's not get too excited about everybody likes Tik Tok um so she explained the 531 strategy that helped her improve her productivity while reducing her work hours the five stands for setting five significant tasks to complete each week assigning one task per day I love that a work day five and then the three is the strategy that stands for three minor tasks per day and then one major win per day per day oh I'm like okay five a week three small a day y one major win right I can do this you can be done by noon time day over go to the beach I don't know it's my dad always said nothing new after two and it is stuck with me ever since nothing new after two that's a good one start anything new after 2:00 of the day that's a good one and I was like you know what you're right I kind of like that I'll tidy up tasks that I've begun because of my ADHD right right nothing new after two that's a cool one but nothing new after two I kind of jumped into that's a good one dad that's a good one um they set shorter deadlines for tasks I like that because if you give me too much time then I feel like I have all of the time right and then I wait until the last minute anyway and then I haphazardly do it so I think smaller times on tasks they follow the 8020 rule MH 20% of your efforts will produce 80% of your outcomes right and then they prioritize self-care right and that is something I feel like we're all striving to do right now right for whatever reason it took us five whole years after the pandemic to realize we should probably take better care of ourselves and start taking more time for ourselves right right right right you don't go to work when you're sick yeah we're B we're so much better about that so much better about that we're less pushy in that respect Y and I still think most companies are going to allow people to work from home there's a big headline every now and then that that some large compan is requiring everyone to go back to work well they might actually need to check things in the workforce too right right but and it's G to be interesting to see after the big announcement how that actually works out well I feel like it should be a mixed model right obviously you have to come into to work if you're a surgeon right yes obviously you can't do that remotely right but I feel like there should be a mixed option of I'm not feeling great today but I'm still good enough to do some tasks but probably shouldn't be mixing in general population I'm staying home there's always going to be people that take advantage of things right period oh yeah so there's not anything that we could possibly set in motion that is going to be foolproof yeah my my my youngest brother my kid brother has a job working for an oil company I have no idea what he does yeah something about oil futures or or whatever he can work at home he can do it from home every day yeah if he if he wants to and he's got a his office looks like the the the Command Deck of the Starship Enterprise you know with the screens and the this and the that but he still goes in you know couple times a week just to to see people and and and you know get the vibe of the place and and then he you know we'll we'll take a you know work at home day bye yeah nice to see yall right I do exist I have legs right right well look at the look at the radio business look at the broadcasting business how many people actually go into the same radio station well the FCC did away with the home studio ruling in 2020 so and it was just in time for the pandemic right like they plan it right I mean we all broadcast from everywhere so you don't have to go into a studio anymore to be able to use that right I mean I did my show I did the Jazz show Sunday morning with the cat there you go watching the watching the snow from the home from the home studio right isn't it nice where you don't have to put your body and life in Peril and sleep in a mattress that's underneath the board of the radio station reporting to where everybody roads are closed that was awful absolutely awful yeah I did enjoy the stocking up for the storm and getting myself all ready to be parted for my family bye I have to take care of the other Public Safety people bye right if you're looking for me just turn the radio on I'll be there I'll be there on the other side of the microphone it was a little bit fun but really it's unnecessary we kind of we the amount of times that I put myself at risk for absolutely for a radio job oh I know was driving underneath trees that were downed and I was it took me an hour and a half to get into the office when I when when I work when I work for the utility company off Cape I would I would go over the bridge in in a hurricane to get to usually to Fall River right and the bridge would be swing but these are that we were like we have to go we have to do it you know what we live for it though it was such it was such an adrenaline rush maybe that's what it was that crazy moment where you're allowed to just be a little little wild a little crazy you know you could you could get away with stuff on the radio and and you knew everybody was listening to you yeah right yeah we didn't have much 14 brilliant habits of high Achievers so there you go I actually think that there are some nuggets of greatness in there I might I think so I might have to um adopt a couple of those and see how they work for us good morning Carolyn uh I did see you yesterday at the UA Wine Place it was fabulous I loved it I'll definitely go back good morning Lynn uh your food looked fabulous I saw that you made a cottage pie out of some leftovers yes you did love Cap Cod dining at home and anywhere else yes great ideas for recipes unbelievable the the the quality of the food is just not that it wasn't great all along it has improved exponentially yeah the stuff that people are doing now is is is nuto well where motivating we're trying to eat a little bit healthier we're trying to eat at home a little bit more and we have been prepping meals on Sundays which um uh has been really helpful and so any ideas are great yeah oh yeah bring them on please I'm enjoying that Co made people re-evaluate lots of things some good some very bad and you are not wrong about that Trish not at all right one of the things one of the good things and we may have talked about this before that I think came out of Co here on cap conod is we actually outdoor restaurants yeah we never had when when you think about it the fact that Cape Cod during the summer didn't have outdoor restaurants was really kind of nutty yeah I mean you go to Florida and the weather's nice what do you do you eat outside here on the cape there were a handful but then when covid came people you know were setting the tables up outside and everything and fortunately for a lot of places they they kept them yeah yep well except for Boston where they were trying to make them pay more for being outside for I know in the North End and everything else very dramatic it's always somebody you got to ruin it for everybody else right that's right um worried about the egg shortage anyone oh my goodness here we are again 17 million some odd birds have died that's why there's no eggs on the Shelf folks that's why the price is going up now after January 20 maybe we'll see what happens but um yeah it's it's it's really really bad a lot of home um chicken havers are are complaining reminder this time of year we don't get as much sunlight so when the birds don't get sun they don't lay eggs so they're not getting a lot of eggs right now correct you're not getting a lot of eggs right now which is i' I've seen a lot of people on our social and our agricultural conversation where are the eggs the chickens unless you give them artificial light that's pretty much the only reason or way you're going to get them yeah yesterday was nice and sunshiny until you went outside and realized it was still 20 right feels like I'm not loving it I've got to be honest this is my first winter in a long time where I'm very complaining I'm not used to it you're getting older is that what it is or maybe it's just a really colder winter you know I I don't remember putting on a heavier jacket right as much as I have already yeah I'm flexing my nice expensive winter jacket that I really only wear one or two times a year yeah still can't get Mariana to put anything ony by the way by the way she's not listening but congratulations to Mariana she made the tech crew for the spring play Yay at at Sandwich high school the only seventh grader once again that's exciting though yes maybe she's got a new little career yep she does I love it yeah kids don't wear jackets and shoes and socks I mean you'll see the crazies out there still in flip flops I have friends there are dieh hard new englanders that are flip-flops until even like a foot of snow and finally they're like fine we'll put on Crocs right you know who you are right and you're crazy I well it's the equivalent of 20° outside and still drinking iced coffee that's true never mind this is what we do mhm what's going on in the sandwich news Department besides driving in and out of that store because I think that there was something else oh yeah there was something else hang on there was one other thing besides the fight with the teenager that was home from college Y which we checked that box dropped her back off at College she's getting ready to go she's got all new classes let me see let there there were a several um oh officers were dispatched to a local pharmacy for a couple who are acting suspiciously officers investigated and eventually spoke to one of the subject to admit into shoplifting that woman seemed unconvinced that stealing was an arrestable offense wait what she thought she wasn't going to go to jail she was upset to learn that assumption was incorrect girl and with that the suspect bolted she was apprehended but continued to physically resist kicking an officer during the encounter that's not funny and and there's a whole list of list of things that she was arrested for clearly not of sound mind an individual called 911 and stated he was calling to see whom the number belonged to just checking he was advised it was the 911 emergency number we thought everyone knew that so special God you know the stuff the stuff it's it's it's it's it's incredible the yeah but can the police officers have to deal with that on a regular dayto day you know what I mean we can laugh about it and talk about it all we want because it's wild but we talked off the air about the Mother-in-law yeah right oh okay here's one guys this is this will be the last one for today officers were dispatched to the area of Route 130 kuit Road for reports of a man stumbling on the side of the road that man was located and was determined he was impaired and under the influence of alcohol the man was brought to his residence where his mother-in-law took custody there's a joke in there somewhere but we aren't going to make it but given the choice between lockup and being in the custody of the Mother-in-law I'd rather go to jail how many would choose the former love you Mom it's okay I'll go to ja jail that sounds good I'll go there thanks yep y so Lil's off she's very excited about some of her new classes a lot of them seem like classes that aren't classes I'm like wait what are you paying for what is that class oh like what I don't just bizarre ones just classes that I feel unnecessary it's information that is unnecessary for any human to have oh I know Holy Cross has got a brand new class that they're rolling out this semester that is pop stars compared to poets yes at Holy Cross it's basically a class in which they could talk about how Taylor Swift is a good writer right right but there is if if you take a look at lyrics of songs and you take a look at Classic poetry I did this once in English class years ago at pishop Fan High School you can you can see you know I mean I taught kids how to write poetry at Bishop fi by listening to um Van Morrison yeah you remember as your uncle told you he very much remembers that and has been truly inspired for Life he's like he couldn't wait to tell me that story you made an impact tank once or twice anyway I had narcoleptic Mrs Maloney who used to just fall asleep and everyone would wonder is she dead that's that's what I got at Bishop f is she no we nope she's awake she's alive she she'll we're learning again she'll continue now poor Mrs Maloney God Rest her soul I know it what's up Kim may she rest in peace which she's very happy resting ABS she was always resting what's up Karen I just some of the things that the kids cannot get away with that teachers cannot get away with these things anymore no at all no they are so much scrutiny it's not even funny yeah oh no they can't do anything I feel I it makes me sad a little bit though yeah yeah from the the experiences that we had versus what it is now very very different no yeah it is different it's a lot different I don't think I'd want to teach in high school now God no those poor kids I'm like are you okay blink twice are you okay there my poor son's like Mom you're weird it's just a different atmosphere all together um so Saturday Night Live is coming back this week I'm excited just because I like Dave Chappelle yes and they usually roll out Dave Chappelle when a major political something is GNA happen well we got the inauguration on Monday we go so I think that that they're gonna give this perspective that Dave Chappelle seemingly has and it's interesting that Dave Chappelle is acceptable again because he went through a period there where where he was like you know he was like hot cold you don't you No don't touch Dave Chappelle well because he is equally rude to everyone and when you're the one that the rudess is aimed at then you're The Afflicted party right right so if but everybody else is like well you kind of have a point and he hits you with a little bit of sense right I mean obviously it's not everyone's sense but it's his sense in the way that he's realized things oh yeah I think he's really thoughtful yeah he is I don't always agree with him but but I think he's really thoughtful what he says well he takes the time to think about it right if I spent that much time in my brain I would lose my mind he somehow makes it funny and shares it with other people so it's relatable yep kudos to you and your writing ability I don't have that so I am looking forward to that and take a class with Ted Murphy apparently I need to take a class with Ted Murphy I missed hanging out with Ted our friend Mo Cheeks had his calendar release party on Sunday yeah I saw that and I was invited uh suan was along for the ride I got to see David viea yesterday shout out to our our reps around town right uh but she was along for the ride with them on Sunday and I just I could not will myself out of my own space m it was warm it was cozy at home I was working on some stuff so in between working and naps I didn't go anywhere do you ever stop working that it's my fun now yeah see I have the same problem this this this working at home thing has become want I'm retired so I think I have time and and two the ability to do stuff at home yeah it's just like oh you know what I'm going to go do this right what else were you going to do I might as well work and I feel like that never gets shut off it never gets put down I have to make these Grand trips I have to make these ridiculous things to make myself stop working right and that's the bad thing about working at home is that you keep working so except if you have if you have to leave no but if you have to leave your stuff in the office if they make you go back to the office and all your stuff is in the office all the work that you were doing at night and on the weekends you're not going to do it anymore yeah cuz you're not taking it all home with you right just you're just not you know your personal laptop isn't going to be connected to the to the Mainframe anymore probably you know for security reasons and they're not going to let that happen so you know it it it's gonna be counterproductive RTP says the younger Generations have ha um have that on their list in relation to living a good life and goals to attain working from home and in fact working remotely outside of the US the goal now is not to own a home but to have a better quality of life by living outside of the US also the egg shortage is saving the ozone hash natural gas thank you Rich the bear love Rich the bear to Dave Chappelle of lemonad right what's up Tyler Victoria love Hank sweatshirts yeah you can get that on Amazon by the way yes you can lemono store you can buy lemon Ado gear on Amazon folks you can yep little known secret yes it's out there we should tell people more about that listen I have so many things that I would love to tell people more about but then I feel like I'm being annoying do you ever get that even in your own personal business or the way you connect with people I find this it's not an impostor thing it's a conversation that I have a lot with small businesses and they're like I don't want to be annoying I don't want to tell people all the time I don't want to repeat myself no one cares no one's listening they are listening they do care and you do in fact have to remind people that these things do exist because we are busy and we forget they're interested in what you do because they don't do it right they don't know anything about it I mean the people when we we can't go anywhere well first of all Mari doesn't know someone but we can't go anywhere we love to sit sit at bars and very nice that that sounds terrible but we love to sit at a bar and have a drink and have dinner and everything else and when people find out that mari's in real estate I'm just along for the ride but mari's in real estate State the questions that people have and they're sincerely interested in in in what's going on and and sometimes I think to myself how do you talk about this all the time yeah and then you get sucked right back into work Hank it'll drivve me crazy I can't even go on have a drink and I'm working well that's well that's why you work at lemon Ado so now you've got a fun fact to talk to people about that's right I can talk about why people are putting toilet paper in their refrigerators why which is what I'm doing this afternoon on lunch break from noon to 2 on Lon look at this the professional Master is in the house people are putting toilet paper in their fridge that is an actual thing and there's a reason behind it yeah we'll talk about it it's goofy as whatever okay so if we miss you today we're we're never gonna know right we're just gonna be out there Wonder to listen 12 to two great music the 60 seconds are the sports page and why people are putting toilet paper in there refrigerators who could ask for anything more my friends well that's new the 60 seconds or less Sports Page yep I've been doing past couple weeks now 60 seconds till the sports pitch well what's on it vable oh it's going to be all vable varable varable in the in the NFL playoffs we are excited for it when we watch that horrendous Chargers game once again thank you Chris Paul for giving me those tickets and letting me take my son to his first horrible Pats game I think that that's where you start right that's the ground level you want to go to a game where they stink so bad right that people are chanting in the stands we want Freel I felt him you know and they got him they wanted him the the difference between somebody like mayo and Jared mayo and so many others is there's a difference between being a coordinator and being a football coach yeah you know that's fair and Vel is a football coach just like we're gonna have a couple of good years of football here in the England not only because the Patriots have Mike Vel but because Bill O'Brien is a Boston College well let's just hope for all of that and he's a real football coach Notre Dame is coming this fall to play BC at BC that's exciting yeah that's going to be cool God knows how much the tickets are going to be yeah right Don hello and good morning how are things for you on the west coast and don't your name could be the national champions I'd like some updates I saw Patrick Mahomes just welcomed another baby yes golden ray a okay golden R Mahomes yeah right yeah I don't know I don't understand these names anymore G to the days of the Saras here are some weird things that we just now name our kids after right bottle come over here blanket stop that call it gold golden gold Goldie come here Goldie no no no no no not you the four-legged Goldie you the two-legged Goldie I kind of can get down with Goldie like Goldie Han kind of cute I guess right I guess I don't know but golden ray that is the new baby's name it's not going good still burning but not houses that's Don you can get that sweatshirt just head on over to to Lemon Ado uh on Amazon go to Amazon go for lemon Ado you've got you've got sweatshirts you've got a um a handbag you've got a um oh yeah Cliff was designing bags this is my husband's free time I I currently have I currently have Hank the turtle on on mine no no no oh your popsockets my popsocket Hank the turtle was at the clear water was at the Georg rium very cute um but there eliminated your popsocket um what else is there is there a blanket yeah there's all kinds of stuff I don't he's in charge of the Amazon shop and I have no idea what he puts in there sometimes and all of a sudden he'll get the inspiration to design something and all of a sudden I'm like why is that at the shop well then we have to tell people that they can buy their very own lemon Ado gear yeah sure that's it on demand too so I mean you can have it within 24 hours depending upon when you order it because this is how we live now got to have it right now right the convenience is kind of a problem the convenience can get to be really aggravating because the expectation about everything is now so high what do you mean I have to wait two days I know I can't get it tomorrow by 8 yeah am right yeah no it's it's it's it's it's it's a lot but then on the other side we're all stressed out and everybody's overworked and anxiety riddled and then we have to go do yoga right right but can't wait a extra day for your package by the way what happened to all those people striking at Amazon over Christmas did that go away I think it did I think money made that go away oh okay that's usually how things go right okay all all right because it was a big deal and then all of a sudden poof what's up Michael thanks for joining us Don oh nice handbag uh winds are going to be very high again today I'm very much worried about you I apologize that you're dealing with all of this where is she in California Don she is um like near Dana Point in that area in the Orange County area right Don I'm trying to think of exactly where you guys were okay or maybe that's just where we met for br mhm either way it's coming a little too close to you and I don't like it and also my daughter's in San Diego that's right and get nervous right it's not quite there yet though no no you know it's Lu covered by water around there so she's good yeah and of course ironically all the Mexican firefighters coming over the border to help put the fire out right I know it and they took like a military plane because they didn't want it to go up in Flames I know it we don't want you but send your firefighters and they did I know we don't deserve this we really don't give and the Canadians too the Canadians are sending their firefighters as well right yep what else is going on in the world and the greenlanders will I'm sure soon as well well the greenlanders will send their firefighters as well why not well didn't the Dutch say that they were going to buy Greenland but now they're looking to buy the United States yeah why not you imagine if we're they have a royal family they must have money guys will you buy us no then everything will be too damn expensive oh lagona Niguel that's what it is okay yeah and they were already there good luck to you Don we're always thinking of you for sure and uh give Ken a squeeze for me I know his hotel is jumping right now lot of firefighters she said but it's a bit too late so oh that's too bad I know it's gonna take so long not to not to be a Donnie Downer G to take so long for that to rebuild I mean 17 what is it 10 1 I don't know some crazy thousand and thousand of homes it's going to take forever I know well and that now now starts the insurance conversations because that is going to be an absolute nightmare I apologize someone said this morning that we can expect insurance rates to go up across the country of course somebody has to pay for it you know whether Justified or not I'm terrified this boy of mine uh is about to get his license and I'm like what is the it's oh I know and he's a good he's actually a good driver I've you know had two Les now my life is still mine so that's good right I mean I understand the insurance companies have to make enough money to insure themselves against major loss but at some point it's like this is crazy I know and and a lot of folks in California a lot of folks in Florida just don't have insurance at all they yeah and it's not only there I was I told you I was listening to a podcast the other day and it was this Colorado area this whole town that had some sort of landslide and basically they were like yeah we're not uring you at all yeah so good luck to you yeah because we can't afford it correct yeah I mean that's got to be there's got to be some other thing that's got to step in to say we're not insuring you you can't have this well in Florida the state's doing insurance now and that's a poop show yeah they got a lot of problems in Florida she said they will never let them build back on the coast probably now probably not that that would be the smart thing and certainly not wooden structures you know if if you if you don't rebuild with with you know brick or concrete or or some kind of structure that's the same thing that that's happening in the National Seashore I mean things are just falling into the ocean and then they're like okay oh yeah bye oh yeah we've seen that when when we've been in in in Florida in Clear Water and all through there the new construction is all brick or cement or or whatever there's no more wooden structures yeah you know you just can't have it well we're sending you some love and hugs and I know that doesn't rebuild homes but if you need anything please reach out I'm happy to help you Don specifically sad part is people who have insurance have been paying premiums aren't covered where did the money go I think that that is a huge question people are asking at this point so oh I don't know right yep go somewhere bureaucracy it's never mind yep we won't go there nope we won't go there we've
