and I were in a entrepreneurial book club where Stephanie never read the right book and Stephanie was terrible at this book club I really suck at book club I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual just had a proud of it it's Tuesday hey good morning boys and girls hot enough hot enough for you oh I hate it are you tired of people saying that already oh right that's like the cheesiest one either you like it or you don't I'm a don't he is right I don't mind it at all I do not mind it at all I went down to the pool yesterday because the pool of The Villages is now open oh how that swim around for a little bit the water was water was delightful I felt like my HOA was being well used this month that's nice yeah couldn't get anybody else in the house to go with me but somebody was busy and somebody else had an earache and I was like well okay screwed guys I'm going anyway love those mornings I know and I did and then then I came back and Mari said to me were any of the um old ladies checking you out because you were there all by yourself right is he widowed is he single well that used to happen all the time to my father-in-law when he'd go down to Florida um ahead of my mother-in-law he'd show up in his own and he go down the pool and all the ladies would be saying where's Janet the real Villages how how's Janet is Janet here what's Janet doing that's ridiculous Janet is Janet coming did you get new glasses you know what I go through pairs of glasses I like them I keep losing them and finding them and losing them and finding them well I'm glad that you refound those I think that those are good for you yeah thank you so so these are these are one of my pairs it's HIIT Hank not the single guy at the pool no no no not the sing guys no what's up Dave how are you this morning and we've got Jackie Thomas good morning it's always a good morning when your butt scratching you weirdo oh jeez well at least we get that out of the way right we're done here today right you met cousin Aaron's mother I did I did Fabulous on Sunday it was well I'm still in this brain fog this is what the heat does to me it like zaps everything that I have all of the life from me I came home from the Farmers Market I immediately like hosed off and went to bed I fell asleep I was asleep until like 1 in the morning oh Mariana came home and went to sleep too crashed yep I was absolutely exhausted I had zero I had like no beer I had nothing like I was not fun I am like sloly in this weather where I cannot move around I do not do well with it today I got a pool day scheduled with uh with the girls my I know my childhood bestie is coming up oh great that's great where you going so we're going to Evas oh okay well of course well she's got that backyard pool and no one uses their backyard ever because she's got grown kids right it's like when you grow out of that we don't have the villages to maintain things no so she spends an inordinate amount of money to have a beautiful backyard like that and it's nice that we can take advantage of it so you're gonna help her out that's what I'm gonna do and use it that's it and of course today of all days they had to post in my stack of stuff the three things that you can get from pools and I'm like all right we're shutting it down I'm already in a mood right right I'm not looking at it you can get anything anywhere at this point it just has to you just got to live your life folks yeah right Sandy kidnapped me till 800 PM Jackie I saw the photographic evidence of Sandy kidnapping you somehow that that mermaid made it out into the ocean she was dropped a couple of times on the beach oh really it looked like a bumpy ride out there mermaid but yeah and the and the and the in the cart there and the bicycle thing that was pretty cool did did she really pedal over there oh yeah she does that all the time she peddles to the beach and does Beach yoga really oh yeah that was cool she's crazy I mean she's she's got more energy than anyone I will ever know she is our host for Cog music bingo in trivia if you ever are in the New Bedford area definitely go to the Cog Republic over there great little bar and we love the Whaler's Tavern a lot super cute it's in that historic area of New Bedford where they're doing all it's just really beautiful now yeah yeah yeah there's a lot to do and new bedford's come back yeah kind of like Port not kind of like Portland Portland I love Portland but it's coming back in that that sort of same way that Portland has yeah you know with the bringing back all the old buildings and right putting in restaurants and and and all of that and it looks like she's getting a good crowd yeah it is so I I love when they restore the old buildings like that and it's just such a seaworthy wheler Tavern definitely go check her out on one of these Wednesdays if you got an opportunity to Jack you made me laugh when I saw a story that was talking about mermaiding it's an actual thing where people dress up like mermaids some woman was like mermaiding saved my life what how does dressing up like a mermaid save your life I don't know maybe it's an activity that they gave them purpose or something you all understand that Sailors thought that mermaids what Sailors thought were mermaids actually manatees who are cows they're lovely gentle creatures but they're not but they're not hubba hubba hubba all I think of is that Ariel let's let's let's that that's all I think of is that TV show Sirens where they like had scary teeth and would eat people out of the ocean I'm like no thank you or like they're not all Splash speaking of which Tom Hank celebrates his 68th birthday today that's amazing right he looks great oh he does yeah he shaved his head though I don't know if I'm feeling it I don't know whether it's because he's losing his hair he's just like this is this is my cut right now right got a roll he may be doing a part and and that's what he has to do it for and he genuinely seems like a nice guy yeah right I don't know if it's real or not him him him and his wife yeah you don't see any nonsense about them any any controversy any like Alec Baldwin thing who's going on trial it's just starts today really Alec Baldwin actually think it started yesterday he'd be looking rough for the involuntary manslaughter oh got his haircut he's wearing thick black glasses to look like he's smart I guess I don't know and yeah I think he looks like he's had some this has definitely put some miles on him he looks exhausted either that or it's his 47 children I was G say he has all those kids that would exhaust anybody so I got suck he's no kid this is the summer of there's nothing to watch I got sucked into this iaed a thousand children situations it's the Cal donator no it's the donator in the Netherlands where they capped him in the Netherlands and he started going to other countries is that something you volunteer to do yeah apparently or you just do on your own and you just go from place to place saying hey I'll I'll I'll donate and yeah apparently all of a sudden you're David Crosby and this is a thing for him and there's I guess five or six other guys that are in this space that are just trying to you know have it's a contest to them but this guy has got six over 600 children which is like terrifying to these people because you know as these 600 children grow up and head out into the world and start procreating what if they find a sibling you know what I mean like an actual fact so I got sucked into this thing and I'm like why am I why am I watching this how can I how can I gently put this um donating donating it's not an activity that you share with another person oh apparently he wanted to share it with everybody you no no no no but the act of generating the do donation oh apparently he was doing it in malls meeting women as their Cycles were ready saying excuse me do you want to rock and roll yeah well there was some of that okay but then there was also some of the the drop off situation hold on I'm G give me a cup I'll be right back from the bathroom you're in a mall in a mall and I guess if you're desperate enough to have baby you'll go to whatever length it is to get it done wow right wow it was it was eye opening for me for sure and that's been keeping you amused oh I I don't know why I was you know it's usually me doing other things editing things folding laundry doing other stuff and then I just fullon got sucked into this because I was like what the guy has a YouTube channel about all the activities he does and how he's making the world a greater better place oh my gosh he's not unattractive either which is what I think is really getting him yeah get a lot of traction right and all of his kids seem to be blonde hair and blue-eyed and and very Dutch so I don't know Ricky did he ever put his pants on I don't know it would seem that he would have a hard time if he's fing that many children very active very busy wow but eventually he's going to run out well maybe he's hoping all these children will take care of him unless he eats a lot of salad I mean at some point the supply is going to have to stop you know I mean I guess I don't know oh how old is it is a TV show it is a TV show I don't know how old he is currently he's younger yeah by the time they shut him down I guess he was sanctioned that he's not allowed to have any more father any more children in the world or it's a $100,000 fine per offense but how do you stop somebody from I don't know from hooking up with with somebody in their own house yeah welcome to the food court I'm not reading the rest of that I can't oh my God all right way too early early in the morning and that's what I got sucked into yesterday it was wretched um they called him the lion of Mombasa the lion of Mombasa oh my God that was like another thing the girls were like waiting to put him in in jail or to take him to court or something like that I just read what Rick wrote no you can't repeat it even though this is like you know internet and stuff you still can't do that yeah it's a TV show on Netflix and something I fed a thousand baby I don't know what the hell it is you'll find it trust me well they put a stop to Nick Cannon though no Nick Cannon's fine he's free to move about the country okay he's only at what eight or nine I think Elon hasn't beat at this point I mean yeah and there a football player too I I forget who it is um who's a similar kind of right here there and every kind of guy yeah they they're less about the donation I think that they're more about the you know the the the ladies in their lives right I think children are an aside from that right oh we got should we just jump right into crazy crime at this point since we're over here sure go I did go through the sandwich police blog and there were a few ones in there that were like a lot of them are your typical Fourth of July week yeah situations um but since we're here talking about this weirdness we might as well jump into this guy um an investment Baker that was arrested after shoving soil in his undies because he wanted to get intimate with the tree I what I'm not rereading it I'm just giving you the headline how does it even like there are some other cute ones like a Canadian man's garden gnomes were stolen later returned and they were freshly painted like these These are nice crimes oh that's very sweet we need more that is such a Canadian crime if I've ever en they're so nice in Canada good morning Cheryl how are you hey Eva if the all the shows you jumped into Cheryl this was the one today right um and then there was another one that was super crazy obviously coming out of Florida where four Florida women were nabbed for stealing $5,000 worth of Stanley Cups Lobster and champagne at least they knew what they liked right right the finer thing Club over there right of course oh my goodness I'm still trying to figure out what the guy with the dirt in his pants was all right the investment banker an investment banker allegedly pulled down his pants before um having this act just meters away from the iconic Albert Memorial Hall earlier um this year and was just kind of hanging out with the tree in public gives no meaning to the word tree hugger I guess yeah he was a little bit closer than a hug more than a tree huger a tree extra that was an extra hug an extra hug Cheryl it's not always this way I promise oh Cheryl you don't know you don't know Cheryl it's not it's not I'm telling you what it's not we got the Greek festival coming up this weekend we have been telling ourselves forever that we're gonna go to the Greek festival you've never been at St georgees no I love it because we forget oh it for me it's just a food festival it is a festival spanic hopa and also the best Bak laava yep so yummy the food the dancing is fun right I already the minute I ever see the word Greek in anything dancing Zorba is playing in my head I am ready for the tunes I love it's just a lot of fun right plan for taking a little time and plan where you're going to park they do have little shuttles and just bring your patience with you but you're going to have something good to eat you're going to listen to some good Tunes and you're going to have a good time yes this coming Friday and Saturday at St George's Church my kids love shopping on the inside because they've got little Trinkets and jewelry and you know olive oil from the old country and we once went to a wedding there yeah that their ceremonies are so gorgeous ornate yeah it's it's it's a lot beautiful oh yeah but it's a lot yeah can't imagine doing that every Sunday right I mean give me my 45 minutes in and out every Sunday morning at 8:30 I couldn't I couldn't the good Catholic he is right well see they do everything three times you know father son holy spirit so everything they do like when they do a wedding they they walk the bride and groom around the altar not once not twice but three times yep and they do this thing with crowns not once not twice but three times and and they bless themselves and and it's sort of it sort of adds to the time yeah you know if they cut it down to one then maybe they could go Catholic and do it in 45 minutes yeah no that's not ever GNA happen but that's not them no I um I I before we went away I did a valve renewal celebration and one of the the Greek priests was there and he said his Blessing and he was just you know he was very comfortable on a microphone and he was not he was taking his time and I'm like great good for you sat there and it was lovely the the the conversation that he was having and I really L the fact that he was there he blessed all their children he was there for the original wedding this is 25 30 years later it was just like very very cute but very comfortable up there he could have stayed there all day yep well that's because they're used to being up in front of a crowd for two hours right and but you know what though unlike other um uh religious people the Greek priests can sing yes they these wonderful voices I I think it's part of the prerequisite I you think you have a calling well can you sing no well sorry you know that's really funny that you say that because I think we were just really always blessed with good singers it wasn't until I left my area and went into the military and experien Catholic mass at other places that I was like what this is not good oh they can't sing this is not good most Catholic priests can't sing with a hoop but when I was growing up at St John's I thought monor Hoy I thought father Pana like all the other yeah they could sing they could sing they were good right but then when I left that area I was like oh the oh this is not every not everybody can sing up here there was a priest at at at Corpus Christie um um um father Rodney yeah unbelievable singer yeah and then he got transferred and transferred and he's he's somewhere now but oh yeah if you saw father Rodney and we're not shooting you down if you're not a great singer it doesn't mean I mean I think at any point they'll take you at this B right now but if you saw father Rod was come down to say MK you would say okay I hope he's gonna sing yeah right you know the service would be a little longer because he'd saying but we know it's the preface he'd sing he sing the whole thing and it was lovely and he'd be come on please sing and then when he wouldn't sing you'd go oh damn he didn't sing well you know what it kind of ruined the experience s sorry Father Baptist mass and that's a whole another level of real singing so it was fabulous I really enjoyed my Sundays when I was in the service to go to some great different kinds of oh yeah Sunday service because because they really get into it they they they dance and they're just great sing and CL and so much entertainment but also listen if you didn't go to church on Sunday you were cleaning so everybody went to something and we tried all kinds of things we're like oh no they've got this big long ceremony you found your way out of the barracks on Sundays because you were left to clean if you didn't right got to go to church got to go to church 100% whatever one it is it was like how long is yours yours is longer we'll go there right yours we did I love the Episcopalian ones because they had good snacks I went to all we we tried them all out we tried it out well that's that that's almost Catholic Father Pat Lyn said see I crashed a wedding there it was fun oh yummy I've never tried the Greek festival oh Greek yeah oh and I she believes the Amplified POC Festival is also on Saturday well they are going to it is going to be a time then in hyen that what the Amplified pocc so it's just kind of like our Farmers Market but it's just all kinds of different stuff okay uh we have so many great cool Artisans Crafters makers singers entertainers we've got Vanna pachella that is coming to our Farmers Market this weekend looking forward to her hi Michael I am very excited for her and then she's gonna be at the mashby Band Stand tomorrow I believe at 6 PM she's doing that back and forth right with mvy where she's going on the vineyard and then singing uh in the comons so we're gonna have Vanna all over the place this weekend she is having a busy summer manifest hey Lynn I'm going back up to Lynn Lynn are you talking about father patau from from lelet I think that's who she means right oh I don't know when she wrote Father Pat now there's a dude who could sing he was good he was good he had albums and he had he he do concerts right and he he'd bang out adbor High School auditorium I remember my grandmother swooning for Father Pat yes yes y Father Pat was from lasette yes he was he was that's hysterical yeah he was yeah yeah he talk about he was good unlocked memory right there right making me think of my nana such a she loved him well he was he was a good-look guy yeah right he really was now I know who could also sing he loved it I don't know well we're lucky that it's not so hot here as it is in other places we got people baking cookies baking bread on their dashboards um this seems to be the trend Park Rangers tried baking banan bread in a car amid the 105 degree heat it actually turned out okay the sunbaked they said uh it's a it's a new definition it's time to make some sun tea oh have youever made sun tea yeah I'm down for that yeah I haven't made I made it a couple years ago with Mariana and like that this would be really cool honey you like it and she was like we don't impress them with all the fun things that we used to be entertained by that's what we used to do we're so lowow and right Tik Tok now they don't need us for entertainment no probably saw video on it all I seen them on and whatever no I'm I'm looking forward to October at this point I'm like it's too hot for me don't don't push your life away we've got several weeks of Summer left that's the sad thing we only have several weeks left it's already mid July it seems a little crazy out there right now I feel like this is the crazy portion of the Summer where people start doing dumb things people start I I really feel like the sun gets to people people MH and they just start getting a little ah all the stuff I'm reading about and looking at on social media I'm like this is not this we've reached this point of the summer right right and hey folks if you live on Cape Cod the tourists are here you knew they were coming just just chill out okay really right you know it's what happens around here and then they'll be gone and then you'll wonder where they were and you wonder how come your favorite restaurant or bar is closed for the season because the tourists weren't here to keep it open that's how it works I'm I'm like I'm trying to think I need a good Stephanie can't appear everywhere to keep your favorite restaurant or bar open sorry guys you know she's only one person only so many hours in the day we're doing a good job events on cape.com is where you can find Netflix right now I don't even know what I'm paying for at this point in time tell you that right now I'm getting tempted to watch the bear it's good the season though little slow yeah I loved the first season yeah I I know you've talked about it and and I've I've read about it and and on Fridays now on lunch break I'm talking about binge worthy shows yeah and um I like your description of it and it somehow reminded me of Anthony Bourdain and I so much enjoyed Anthony Bourdain and I've read just about all his books and I watched pretty much you know every you know show that he did on on on CNN and I thought just kind of sounds like Anthony Bourdain it's see well that's kind of his attitude about things a little bit for sure and I can't see him as anything other than Lip from Shameless I'm like why do they keep calling them that it's lip he's so typ cast in my brain to me but to watch him do this it's kind of like the same character he's playing just a really Intuit Chef uh either way it's really good I definitely suggest you watching at least the first season third season has got a little slow for me though it's okay I don't know they're gonna have to pick it up just like The Thornbirds Mari said yeah that's Father Pat oh people swooning for Father Pat yes just like The Thorn Birds Netflix is dead but however I don't think Father Pat has any children no I I would know but that's my guess right that's my guess I don't know we don't know what else is going on why did I go there right what is going on in the world of Hank I felt like I needed to defend I knew Father Pat I feel like I needed to defend Father Pat so you've had a stream of family in in town that was an interesting segue I was talking about knowing Father Pat and then we yes yes yes we do yes my my my sainted mother-in-law Janet is coming down today and my um well mari's cousin Diane and her cousin Jan and his wife an they are here as well yeah I'm finding it hard to get back into a routine since being away just because there's so many activities and things going on and then there new people and like we're visiting hey we're going to be on the cape we're going to be this we're going to be that and I always find myself in the tour guide position of like what to do in this town where to go Friday I ended up fighting my way two and a half hours to Province to wow two and a half hours wow we enjoyed it we had a great damn day I'll I'll tell you what it's always a good time there no no shortage of sights and sounds in that end of the cape we had a great day um but yeah I the travel time this time of year I keep forgetting it's not off season right right and my younger brother's mother-in-law passed away and somehow I've got to fit in wak and funeral with family here and it's it's oh that's tough it's crazy yeah yeah yeah and the um wak and funeral is going to be up in Dam so it's like okay am I going to go to the wake or am I going to go to the funeral because I'm not going back yeah no you know up and down twice I loved his mother-in-law um Mary was 91 when she passed well she lived a good life go to the W she was she was from the old country she was from Ireland she still had her brogue you know every other sentence included don't you know and I have you I want to go Jesus Mary and Joseph Jes yes Jesus Mary and Joseph don't you know yep exactly yep and oh my God she was she was hilarious is when when Mari and I were just started dating or maybe we were early married Mari had a had a car I forget what it was but it had tea Toops yeah so we drove up to Brighton and we took the tea Toops off and my parents what a pain my parents and and um uh the Nobles lived across the street so my brother Jeff married Don and Noble so the in-laws right across the street and there was something going on at Mary's house and we went over there and Mario was saying yep we drove off we drove up and I took my tops off and Mary was like Jesus Manny and Joseph what did you do girl that's awesome Mar had to say no no no no no took the tops off my cars and then I thought but gee that's an interesting concept isn't it well you know the Irish they love to get crack a good joke nothing serious to them ever it doesn't even matter and they're mean to everybody right equally it's just the Irish way right right it absolutely is oh that's too funny what a good time speaking of leaving your tops off um I found your clothes in the woods I do have to preface this was you got to explain this one please I like I have Hank I have your shirt and pants uh I'll pass it over it's actually Mariana's pants they were changing out at the farmers market it was we were cleaning up for the day I looked over and I was like who's cloth are those under a tree like somebody disappeared into the woods right like it was Harry and the Henderson and I put him right over there under that tree because I knew I would see them in the way out you did and then I was looking at my car yesterday and I was like oh wait I I have Hank's shirt that sounds weird I better I better get rid of that you know want Cliffs saying what's what's Hank's shirt right what's happening here what's going on I got sucked into another terrible Netflix show yesterday which was buying Manhattan do you watch any of these real estate shows they're fake by the way oh I know oh I but they're like entertaining it's almost like a soap opera with a a fake job right oh I watch I watch I watch some of them you know the the million dooll you know the one I always get a charge out of is you know Million dooll Lottery home yeah you know how how much do you want to spend oh about 300,000 what yeah those ones are like I feel a little bit real where their house hunting right these ones are about the Brokers themselves that now have reality shows yeah Mari was asked to do one uh with new home buyers really and she was working with uh a couple who had just bought a home was the only new home buyer she had worked with in the in in that recent time and she asked them if they would do it and they said no so and we didn't have any other new home buyers going on at the uh going on at the time so she missed out on a chance to do that well that's kind of a bummer I would have love to have seen Mari in one of those positions but maybe like oh she'd be fabulous right are you kidding me so i' like watch the selling Sunset and then the other one that that's out there and then I started watching selling Manhattan and I was like these are horrible horrible reality shows they're so bad I don't know if they're actually real estate brokers or not I think that they are I would think you'd have to be to betray yourself as one but they've glamorize this oh yeah oh yeah yeah to the max it's so ridiculous they're the people that have given us a bad name yes and and make many folks think we hardly work and we make too much money and yeah the yeah those those those folks that we're not those of us who work hard every day in this business we're not fans well and they're only showing the glamorized portion of it they're not showing like the amount of actual work and contacts and finding things and make like the amount of work that you guys do all day every day I know for seeing it for myself and being beside you guys how much you actually work it's crazy oh it's crazy some days it's just it's just crazy but you know we're not we're not a bunch of folks who make way too much money trust me trust me that's never enough anyway for cry out loud Never Enough all right we need to snooze that because I don't know what's going on with my computer over here uh oh well everything's new updated we've got new software we've got all kinds of new stuff happening which is making me crazy but you'll figure it out you're a professional everything's fine everything's fine everything's wonderful poor Emily yesterday she did not have a great day I do she made me realize H nope I do not miss having a baby at this point in time not at all although the baby is wonderful she was at was at the farmers market and was just so dang cute just hanging out no I got the phone call can you um bring out two trash bags and I'm like oh no what oh yeah you know the usual baby stuff it's just having to deal with a hot sweaty baby and then having to clean up after a hot messy sweaty baby in the car I was just like that's the portion where I just did not miss and I felt real bad for her yesterday and of course you said hey I'll give you a hand no I didn't okay I said you want me to run a tub for you you got it okay there you go that's all I'm gonna offer I offered once don't ask me anything else my time will come we'll have grandbabies before I blink not that I'm rushing into any of that you do have one that you don't see two you have two that you don't see two they moveed to Upstate New York oh that's why you don't see them yeah they're not they're not right around the corner so yeah there's two of them no because there inevitably there are five children right one of them will be like Mom here you go right you know what's gonna happen right then then cliff and I are G to move away I think you can move th state New York find us somewhere it's goingon to be drop a pin in it wherever we land I definitely would like to downsize this house at some point so we've been talking about it we're trying to help you we're trying to help you it's got to be the right situation hang absolutely absolutely this time and like I I feel like all of the house prices are just getting more and more expensive they're not getting any cheaper no no no they're not so it's like what are we trading you know what I mean do I get less house for the same amount of money it's kind of one of those things where I feel like we're a little bit stuck at this point while we wait to see what's G to happen but nothing does happen right our our blog this week I've done a I've I've done a video about it this this this idea of waiting for the election to see what happens nothing happens okay it's politically minded in the end nothing happens I don't even think I'm mentally prepared for what's gonna happen this fall by the way folks a professor Hank moment there's a story right now about how an expert in dementia went to the White House several times but they can't confirm he saw the president folks that's not a story as you and I know from back in the day responsible reporters and responsible editors would say Okay an expert on dementia has gone to the White House can you confirm that they met with anybody and if you can't confirm that they met with anybody like the president or Mrs Biden or or keystaff person you don't have a story it doesn't matter they're going to make it up anyway I I don't believe any anymore I really don't know what to do is anybody else like me like is that even real do I do I bother with that do I investigate that do I go down that rabbit hole do I get sucked into this no George Carlin who is more and more my hero every day would would talked several times about the quote unquote owners of this country who really decide what goes on don't think they even know at this that's exactly what you're talking about whatever gets figured out we're going to have nothing to do with I know it's it's also true but you know what I talked about this before and I'll say it again I've seen it in every other country is on fire crazy right now as well y so it's nice to know it's not just not in our neck of the woods that it's wild and you know what that was the first thing everybody wanted to talk to me about and it was the last thing that I wanted to talk about I'll tell you what because it was a nice little break speaking of break if you're just returning back to work this week TSA said it was the most busy Fourth of July weekend we have had since pre pandemic they screened over three million people is that traveling three million people were traveling do you think people just need an escape like we're done we're done don't care anymore we're going somewhere you know the chances of of you know I always chuckle because you start to get on a plane and they say you know welcome to flight blah blah blah from here to there we have a full flight today you have a full flight every day yeah I mean there's no such you you someone up up in the up in the Stars if you get an empty seat next to you someone up in the Stars has interceded for you because you just it just doesn't happen anymore no it is pretty full all of the time God are the days where you're like please don't seat next some someone next to me please don't seat someone next to me that's no sorry not happening yep the only way you're going to get an empty seat next to you is if you buy it or you buy the bathroom right very occasionally will I see those people in the back I'm like damn it you rolled the dice and it happened for for you right good for you buddy right and you're in your back and you granted the bathroom is there but you're also in the back of the plane where the cabin staff is and they've got the snacks and the and the soda and the drinks and everything else and you can just get their attention because they're like right there yeah right you don't have to go Bing and wait for somebody to come down what you want and bring it back and forth you can just you can just get it so there's something to be said for that anybody else planning any other fun getaways before the summer ends I'm just very curious we're going to try and get away for one weekend maybe to Vermont to see my father-in-law I know that's what my daughter wants to do if we can manage it with her schedule his football basketball oh my God he had me in tears wonderful thing that um I guess there's one of the jiujitsu studios in the area that is offering all the mashby football players uh eight-week course for free just to get them doing something for their mental health their physical health and um I said to my son yesterday I said isn't this really nice we should get you signed up Carlos's son is like leading the charge for this it's eight weeks Jujitsu get you a little you know Physically Active something to do his response was Mom I'm fat CJ's fat we're not doing jiujitsu oh yeah but they could though they absolutely could and they're not fat by any means they're not they're just I mean they're big boys it was it just made me laugh he's not he's it's not stretchy you know what I mean but I said this will definitely get your body ready to play football because some football players take ballet gymnastics all kinds of other ways to get their body physically ready I mean you need to be stretchable also it's not just your brute strength right I lift weights I lift them up and put them down is where he is mentally right now and I was like no you need to get your agility going a little bit I you got to be faster than your feet oh and I just I burst out laughing I couldn't even look at him anymore because it was just his absolute response of we're not doing that I really think that they should I'm going to gently urge them to continue to do this because I think it might be good for them and if the urging doesn't work you'll tell him yeah I don't no I'm not gonna make him do anything because there's nothing worse he is such a bull he's one of those kids that if he so go along to get along and until he is just adamantly against it and if he's against it he's not doing it not not happening so you got to make him think it's his idea I'm gonna work on it all right gentle prodding you didn't hear us talk about this he'll never be up he does not listen to me it is not a thing I saw mari's man Rod Stewart's family is uh definitely in the news at this point but it's not because of Rod oh well that's good it's because of his son and what did the son do well he's getting a divorce and apparently is dating one of Charlie Sheen's ex so I don't maybe having a midlife crisis I don't know what okay of all the people you would want to surround yourself Charlie Sheen's ex well the other one of his X's is being investigated for Matthew Perry's death at this point in time that so I'm like yeah which which ex's is Rod's son involved with Charlie Shane's X Julia stambler I don't know that one all right I'll I'll I'll Google that right Hank will take one for the team and look up I'll see who she is thanks Hank I could just that is the last place I would want my child to be messing around with oh my God and I don't mean to like blame her for dating Charlie right midlife crisis it is yep what do we got going on at the melody tent I know my daughter had some fun with the Little River Band which is not the Little River Band I know who cares we like the tunes it doesn't even matter and folks you got to get over it I mean it always seems to come up with little riverband I don't know why but there are other groups that go through the tent they're not I saw somebody WR it' be great if the original members of the 60s bands would tour but crying out loud they're in their 80s if they're alive they're good they're fine I mean wrinkles 84 Paul McCartney's 81 we my husband had a picture yesterday of Paul McCartney that he put up one of our trivia rounds for visuals famous Paul's yeah and uh he he looked really rough in that photo I'm like where did you find that photo normally he looks really good yeah this is a bad one it was too close right it was way too close yeah yeah and Ringo too I mean Ringo looks Ringo looks Ringo's had a lot of work done oh yeah he has I don't think Paul has had as much no no Ringo very much looks like he had work done and I think it's because he had a very much younger wife at that point in time and he's been married all those years yeah yeah you know he he really he really looked out out of out of all of them found the love of his life and and they've been married for got to be 50 years one of my favorite tours that we took when we were in the that London area was the Magical Mystery Tour Bus an absolute Cheese Fest but I loved it because it took us to the real places and they did a really good job of telling us some of the fun stories of their childhood and how they grew up together and it was just very very cool that's neat to see some of the actual places of where what Abby Road actually looks like where Strawberry Fields were not so Fields like that you would think right all the little places you know the roof where they did the quote unquote final concert no knew it was at the time but right right so it was it was neat to see in that Apple building their recording building and where we got to cross um ABY Road it was just it was very very neat to be there so if you're gonna go and do some cheesy tours that's one I definitely recommend right for sure but to talk about the groups that are touring now I mean the temptation's always come around folks they haven't been in Temptations in probably 25 years right what version of them who did they do they they they have an original member I think they may have won right you know but that's but that's really it the Four Tops haven't been the Four Tops in and they and they too I mean Levi stubs left the Four Tops you know many many years ago and they and they replaced him but I don't think there are any tops left no tops to be had there no tops to be had I I Levi stub Levi stubs was the was the lead singer he was the one with the big voice um he's been gone for he's been gone for years so there's a there's a lot of those bands that you're not going to see you're not going to see The Originals you're going to see maybe somebody from the second generation doesn't matter they play the songs that you like go and have a good time somebody said they just scored Nicki Glazer tickets for cheap money I don't know exactly how that happened but good for you I would have liked to have seen that for cheap money yeah professionally both okay both no he's good interesting he's good he he he started he took over running his parents are Russian immigrants and he started his climb to Fame by taking over his um father's wine business father's wine shop and marketing it and selling wine online and he's just built it and built it and built it and built his I wish I had a wine business to take over thanks a lot dad I got nothing get nothing get nothing well but but he's your dad he's enjoying his life right now and I'm happy for him that's good I know we're going to get together he's very excited to come to one of our farmers markets he's down he's down where is he is he in Florida or is he in alab no he's in Connecticut oh concut Dad's in Connecticut um yeah he's not in Florida right now he's not crazy like he's only in Florida in the cold months he's one of those also he's got a younger wife who is still actually working so he's got his time when he's got his time this guy Gary ve ever seen him oh yes and he was the one wearing the off-white shirt that was bothering me okay I knew it okay the thought leader has to be different right it's always that way right too funny and he's and he's one of these guys who he doesn't do it as much as he used to but when he'd get up to speak every other word would be F this and f that oh yeah it CR it makes me cringe yeah it makes me cringe now too he did a really I'll have to find it for and send it to you he did a College commencement at Sun big business school um this year gave a great commencement speech I'll send it to you it's really good this is the time of year I like watching those I find them kind of motivating right sometimes sometimes you just laugh at why did you get that guy and how much did you pay for that right I love the one if you Batman and Robin number one DC Comics I didn't use that as a question by the way because it was too obvious there's no way I could give who else was on the list who was like number two or three or oh there were they were Silly though they were like SpongeBob square but it was like SpongeBob and Patrick it was you know new stuff too mixed in with the old stuff okay and I can't give it all way because that's a lot of our trivia questions this week so I can't do it I do know that we have got the barille county fair that is coming up there's a fair in the air and I'm watching all kinds of fun little things on the side that we're going to start sharing with you next week some of content now that happens when not next week but the week after correct okay and this week begins like the judging the submissions of Photography quilts crochets um best vegetables that are coming out of your Gardens all like the kind of fun behind the scenes they've got their AP area over there so they've got their bees they've got honey and honey sticks and all kinds of fun agricultural stuff that is happening right now so uh we're going to give you a little bit of a behind the scenes look look at some of the people that submit some of the people that have been doing this for years maybe some of the people that are running these things uh which I'm really excited for I think it jives well with our Farmers Market message as to the food in our local area especially here on the cape because there are some really cool things that don't get talked about enough right um and I I think that the food situation here I I want to commend the YMCA for really taking a stand for our food Justice area mashby qualifies as the food desert there are some other food places on the cape that also do and they're doing some free lunches for our kids that's great so Monday Wednesday Friday you can get a free lunch at the mash B library and I do want to make mention of that so if you're hungry or and it's something nutritious this really is what it is I mean it's it's hard to get our kids to eat something that actually has vegetable value to it and Jenny wheeler who I got to see last night quickly at a friend's birthday party was like Queen of eat the rainbow and if you can get those vegetables whatever color of rainbow into our our little people and I know it's hard in the summer to get them to eat anything uh that is nutritional uh but Monday Wednesday and Friday you can grab a free lunch for the kids at the mash P Library I think it's really important to mention that right right I saw that yesterday being involved with United Way as I am the number of Grants we got that somehow dealt with food insecurity it's sad it it was mhm know and I thought I knew stuff but this was this was really crazy up and up and down the cave sometimes the problem is even worse down the cave because you know not not so much the inseason population but the offseason population there's just a handful of folks down there yeah and not always a lot of services right and it's and it's really hard there's a um food pantry down there that's literally a mom and pop started by this husband and wife because something needed to be done yeah you know and it's it's crazy it's you got people on fixed incomes you've got moms and dads that are working their tail off all day every day and need to to make money to pay the bills right and food sometimes is the last thing so this is um something that I'm really passionate about changing that um the situation here and uh making making a big difference in that space feeding people so um definitely grab if you need it moms and dads especially if you're working so many hours I totally get it we've got a really uh important event that is happening over at the Boys and Girls Club on Thursday we're we're really talking about our teen center and I think given the light of everything that goes on and I worry for our teens so much because there is nothing for them to do on the cape unless you've got rides unless you've got a good system of people that can make sure you've got healthy good productive activities to keep these kids busy and places for them to go there really aren't especially in the winter we're coming into the months where they get themselves into trouble and uh we really need this teen center I'm I'm such a firm believer in it so we're going to be having a meeting and we're we're furthering talks of getting this thing off the ground but we really need your support uh so if you would like to find out more about the teen center please I will give you the information on Thursday where we're just getting together and talking about making uh this happen because we so need it oh I know and isn't that the Eternal question though the kids have nothing to do what are we going to do we've never adequately figured that out no after all these years even when we lived in adoro 30 years ago right it was a question what about you know what are the kids going to do in the summertime and there was even less available 30 years ago than there is I know than there is now well now we have to fight the screen time and then um just getting them they're antisocial right they really are they're in their little bubble of the things that they like because they can have it when they want it right right and that's how they communicate they don't they don't you know they don't go out anymore or if they you know I mean they do but but not like hey to sound like old people but not like you and I did yeah right well we didn't need people to set things up but we like that I remember my family when we and I was so lucky to have that many family members always willing to go throw a ball go play a game want to play with a ball want to run around want to will you watch me in the pool will you do this we I had that right because my mom had eight brothers and sisters and my dad had 10 and we just had a giant ass family so I didn't need anybody else we all had somebody that would play with me right I mean way back in an not everybody has that I mean way back in ancient times when I was a kid I didn't need my mom to set anything up for me right I mean we'd all call the kids would all play in the neighborhood and then we'd go home for supper and we'd say uh see you tomorrow nine o'clock right we'll be bring your bike and we're go okay fine we're all in disappearing off to the woods with nails and a hammer what are you doing nothing okay bye you know and off we and off we'd go and and we came home and we were okay maybe we had a scratched knee maybe occasionally we broke an arm but we were fine and we survived a good time what's up Don thanks Mom and Dad didn't know what we were doing and that was okay yeah I I think that they were fine with once again I we were the last group of feral children M more at any rate in time where you people had to at remind where is your child remember the commercial right where's your child I don't know out there somewhere and it was okay that Mom and Dad didn't know what you were doing as long as you came home safe this is Broad jaliz but as long as you came home safe and everybody was happy I don't want them doing they didn't have to know you had a fist fight with your your best friend at noon time I mean today if if a kid had a best fight with his his or her best friend at noon time the moms would be involved it'd be a meeting they'd introduce a psych I mean it just just I know God leave the kids alone yeah we're not we're not letting been a big fan of the Blues and there were a lot of people out there who enjoy listening to to the blues and I've been doning with Stephanie and I'm on six days a week so I'm now now I'm going for seven days why not every day why not and we're gonna start once we get all the music downloaded Blues on Saturday night I think it's a perfect time for the for the blues it's kind of party music but it's also kicked back and listen to music we've picked out some unbelievable songs really good tunes and you know we're gonna start couple Saturday nights from now I think went into the Vault for that I had a great moment on Friday where I was with a bunch of friends and uh it I stopped dead in my trucks I didn't realize they were playing lemon Ado mhm and then I cuz I had heard your voice and I was like this is my station this is good so please take us with you wherever you go we're on Roku TV Alexa Amazon play Lemonade o radio you can download down the app on your phone we sound really we sound really good on Alexa yeah we do really really good so you can just Bop around you just got to enable the skill and it's Alexa play Lemonade o radio and you have to say it separately like that because she listens to what she wants to listen to right you and I fight with robots all day that's what I do right you'll often get a radio station in Los Angeles yeah right but eventually she'll she'll she'll get it right I do want to talk about this AI story that I saw today because it was MIT experts warning AI freaks against falling in love with the chat Bots it's out like kind of did you watch the movie Her with Scarlett Johansson this is real this is real life now he was is falling in love with his AI assistant it's kind of like the guy with the tree we talked about earlier I'm not going to fall in love with her I hate her I fight with her all day all of my robot assistants I do nothing but fight with you you don't do what I ask you to do you're always half ass about it and you make me crazy here I am having a conversation about AI assistants I fight with fake people fake people did you think we'd be here in our lifetime Han no oh my goodness so yeah MIT I I didn't realize that we needed to consult the serious sides MIT sociologist and psychologist explained to NPR of robots programming um that they feain compassion and companionship it's not real he said I call this pretend empathy the researcher said because the machine does not empathize with you it does not care about you and if you put a picture with the machine I mean maybe one of Charlie Sheen's old girlfriends or something no no no it's the avatars it's saying it could put too much stress on people but stress friction push back vulnerability are what allow us to experience a full range of emotions the Avatar is betwix the person in fantasy don't get so attached that you can't say you know what this is a program right I'm going to shut you off thank you very much speaking of which this having to change your entire life at her age so she's really just she's coming into it she's got a big birthday coming up don't say her age makes it sounds like she's old no she's coming into a big birthday and we're really excited we're going to celebrate I can't talk about it at this moment in time but we are going to be celebrating don't listen it's a surprise you look fabulous and I'm very excited she's terrible at keeping Surprises by the way I'm so bad at but I kept yours you well almost I was pretty good about it you're pretty good about except every other week so what are you doing for your birthday you know that in hindsight now but you didn't I'm thinking to myself I told her last week I was doing for my birthday what she has now I can never trick him again because he knows all the my well I don't I don't I don't have anything else coming up really I mean I mean if I get to the next if I get to the next one I hope I'm not in a nursing home drooling with my oh for crying
