saraphina and I were in a entrepreneurial book club where Stephanie never read the right book and Stephanie was terrible at this book club I really sto at Club I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual had a proud of it hold hi hey how are you hi stranger where have you been on my life hey boys and girls way too long yes sorry about the uh the weight this morning we had um one of our hosts decide to um leave us and uh another host is filling in for for their job so oh I see I was like scrambling this morning oh and also one of our hosts Kristen is a nurse so she's like I'm leaving the hospital now get it ready for me I'm coming in hot like okay all right so we got it all together that is t such inside baseball that you did need to deal with right but we are actively looking for another one of a hosts for our games we absolutely love uh the people that we work with and we're expanding rapidly and we would love to be able to offer someone a part-time job that you might really actually enjoy it looks like it would be fun we're also looking for Christmas decorators so if you love making decorations arts and crafts maybe you're retired maybe you got a couple of hours to give in the afternoon your stay-at-home mom and you're like I'm bored I want to do something we are creating a winter wonderland in a uh Art Studio that we're going to bring to the outside when it's time for the Winter Market so we're looking for five people to assist us wow that's aggressive I know I know making these amazing um you know Creations I'm sitting there drawing all these things out and now I've got to go to Lauren and the professionals to be like all right how are we making this right can we do this right right so I'm looking forward to that that's the fun portion of uh everything that we're working on right now so thank you for joining us and the Christmas Market starts when um so that is going to be November 23rd we've added Saturdays so now it's going to be Saturday and Sunday for four straight weeks I know you get nothing else to do yeah all my free time right right wow well you get so many people applying though we do we do and um our staff is growing um the people that are involved are incredible and I just reached out to uh the boys and girls club and offering them some some spaces for them to be little entrepreneurs oh very nice I know so if they're going to work on some of their stuff that they want to sell to the the general public or maybe a fundraiser that they're working on for a group Collective activity just super fun stuff what's up Nate hello Gloria how are you on this fabulous Tuesday Gloria's here for the crazy crime oh she is you're going to have to wait a minute we got a lot we got a lot going on this morning we do well the hurricane situation has got everybody freaked out especially in your world I got Clear Water strong it is actually devastatingly scary it's scary um they have setup CS in um the trop the the stadium where um Tampa Bay Ray play they have set up 10,000 CS for the work Crews that are going to come in to try to put everything back together again yeah it's just going to be a the um surge this time could be 9 to 10 feet and and if you saw the pictures from alen that was like 5 to six feet any of those um buildings that you saw like for example in Clearwater Beach or elsewhere that were maybe halfway covered yeah they're gone yeah but then there's people last night I I because it's like a second home to us you know I follow the stuff on the Clearwater Beach pages and he's a toy page follower he's a but but you know and there's this guy that owns a tiki hut bar on the beach and he posted something last night I'm not going anywhere I'm riding it out oh he's definitely gonna be riding it out and I'm thinking you're not freaking David or David Ortiz who laughs in the face of danger you're your your place isn't going to be there yeah no it's not gonna be there I don't know if you're watching the weather people are crying that's how massive the storm is but it's also funny you watch the Weather Channel and we know this from from being in the media from from Storm Duty and other things you live for this stuff oh yeah absolutely this is Christmas to them oh yeah Mari was watching last night going you know they seem a little too excited about they're 100% excited this is oh yeah this is it this is it and I even we're my mother-in-law is yesterday because we had to go to a funeral and and we went to pick her up I even she was watching Fox weather yeah and I thought of your brother you're like I know somebody I know somebody that one of those guys sitting at the desk behind there that's that's Steph's brother he must be out of his mind I can't even talk to him very very busy like kale text me with like little updates when he gets a break but oh yeah this is full on their Christmas right now in weather departments Across America oh what's happening oh yeah and there's a guy I was mentioning before we went on who's a who's a TV weather guy in in Tampa Dennis Phillips and I was watching him last night his Facebook live had 34,000 people watching people want to know that's incredible I mean if you get a thousand on a Facebook live you're like damn that's good he had 34,000 people want to know exactly I mean that's this is affecting so many people and so many other people that have vacation homes there family there oh yeah Florida's the number one retirement community you want to know what's happening it's not like they can mobilize very much oh my God said Cindy y doing good I'm about to record a podcast later good for you Nate for you keep up the practice and and all the people running in on the uh clear water and and other place toy Pages I'm supposed to go on vacation in two weeks how do you think the beach is going to be girl shut up really they were doing live shots last night with reporters on Clearwater Beach there's still debris on it yeah and it smells and there's bugs and there's it's I don't care what the Hilton says yeah and I'm gonna single the Hilton out because the Hilton has been called out several times already who are telling their people oh no our show you don't have think that's good you don't have to cancel everything's fine our pool is open l no no please don't go right one of our one of our lemon heads Julie um Judy cardelli she has evacuated she and Andy and I heard from her this morning and she said she she's gonna check in on the chat okay good um at about at about 8 o'clock and then we're going to have Mari on about 8:15 and originally to talk about Cape Cod real estate but she's Al going to be able to talk about what's going on in Florida because a lot of people with retirement homes that's their that's their investment yeah and and things are already pretty goofy down there with a home prices and B the cost of insurance everybody's talking about this insurance situation that's happening in Florida right now we have a um a former colleague um she has a place and um she in the last storm she was showing pictures of it and she said and of course I don't have Insurance yeah and the place is destroyed yeah yeah that stinks good morning everyone I know right my mother-in-law evacuated this time I think the last time where her uh chair broke and they were stuck high up in the air they've got these like electric lift up chairs yeah so they kept lifting themselves as water was coming in the house cuz they decided to stay Geniuses let me just tell you Geniuses so so then when the so when the power cut out they were stuck they were stuck up in the air at the fifth step or the seventh for whatever oh my goodness I was like I can I wish they had a ring cam or some sort of Cam in the house that we could just check in to watch those two yes it's my mother-in-law and her sister it's like the blind leading the blind they don't listen and they don't speaking speaking of the Ring cam I haven't been here in about a week right um I noticed the added security oh for crying out lot my husband with his new toys I I don't recall the camera looking down on the driveway and the Ring Thing certainly wasn't there last time I was here I know and the pad and I'm thinking oh God do I have to know the Cod to let myself into the house or or is it unlocked like it always is it's still unlocked it's unlocked for it unlocks at a time for people to come in okay oh a automatically oh yeah and it's got this stupid finger thing but it doesn't like my finger so I have to like tap it 14 times before it lets me in like how did I hold my finger to get in here last time oh my goodness so ridiculous yeah Fort Knocks up there right and the crime scene next door is gone y he's still working on it that one the crime scene is now back in my driveway because we've got one more Farmers Market I'm just like we're we're limping to the Finish literally just limping it will be a0 5K that we've got coming up it's a pink. 5k we're raising money for the women's early detection fund which is a fund right at Cape Cod hospital for any Cap Cod person that needs any sort of breast Imaging any sort of um female uh thing that's not covered under your insurance and you don't have to do anything special for it there's no uh bureaucracy behind the fund it's just a fund that's available when you can't pay which I love that's great yeah there's no Administration anything yep so it's just we're raising straight money for that the 05k which you and Mari have completed yes we are veterans of this this race have the little sticker in the back of my car we're so proud of ourselves let me tell you I love it so we've got um Sandy from thumbtastic going to be at the end of the Finish Line with the massages uh I'm I'm working on getting a component from Cap Cod Healthcare there to uh you know make sure we maybe a blood pressure check or maybe a water station in there somewhere just in case we get a little thirsty we've got the police on staff I know that uh Katie Hennessy is gonna be there with our comfort K9 Cara oh my God and uh it's her birthday it's her first birthday oh it is so she's going to have her little pink tutu on and she going to be our little race Ambassador oh my goodness what's the weather supposed to be like on Sunday I don't even know I haven't even looked yet it's probably going to be a disaster well it's supposed to be sunny in 62 okay we take that hopefully it doesn't so I guess I I guess the the remnants of uh Milton I guess they're not they're not factoring that in yet okay hopefully that'll be gone and we don't have to deal with that but it's not too late to get signed up it's only 20 bucks and once again that's going to the women's early detection fund nowhere else just for them um and so we would love for you to be able to participate in this also we're going to have a few people from the mash B wanang tribe indigenous people's weekend and uh the youth council is going to be there so I'm sure they'll have information and some merchandise and some other stuff so come and say hi and uh get to know uh our Mash bwog tribe so here we are it's Tuesday I feel like I've lived a million Liv since the last time I saw you yes it's been well it's only been no it's been a while it's right it's like a week and a half yes it has really that long and in Hank and Stephanie time that's like usually we go like three or four days three or four days that's about it yeah but no that's a long time so you got a lot of stuff to catch up on uh we did have parents weekends that was fun my daughter's got the crud the ick ick really and the and the Freshman 15 yet she lost weight I was like you look thin tell me again I was like what Lily you're supposed to put it on yeah right no eat the crappy cafeteria food it's not part of the deal yeah she doesn't like the food and she's got unlimited swipes she'll go in there and she had coffee and a piece of toast while she watched my son house three rounds of breakfast in there oh geez when we were eating together so yes he very much enjoyed the free breakfast thank you very much Salem State right one of the administrators in there that was organizing it super just really nice people and her son's a senior at Mass Maritime really so we were just yapping about you know the cape and all the stuff the the incredible opportunities that him being at Mass Maritime has afforded him what a great school it is I'm like I know yeah we got some amazing schools here Bassett lot I think a lot of people don't understand it's more than just a maritime school it's more than just where you go to learn to be a you know boat captain and then right and then star on below deck yeah there's that possibility also though right right but yeah I mean there's all kinds of um all kinds of business programs and there um um stuff in the in the Marine area like marine biology and all that and they're graduates really look out for each other she said that she was he was at a job something rather and the guy stopped him you're M you're a Cadet here here's my card call me when you graduate I got a job for you yeah that's nice right that's that's nice to be well sought after after you've already expended all of this money to be in a an academy right can I donate $20 and not run absolutely oh sure absolutely it's not even run it's it's 8.5k it's a stroll anyone can do it you can walk limp crawl jumping jack crawl well I don't about to jump in Jack I've got two of our friends currently in treatment right now and they're like you know what I can do this I'm like you absolutely can it's a lap around the field right you can do it right and uh we're just going to have a really fun day anyway I think we're going to bust out the karaoke and apparently our vendors it's going to be vendor karaoke oh Jee no holds Bar for our final Market here I know some of them vendors I don't know if I want to hear them sing I think you do it's gonna be entertaining if nothing else so we'd love to see you on Sunday this one starts at 10 o'clock and it goes on until 3 o'clock in the afternoon so if you're looking for something fun to do before the Pats game after the Pats game or after whoa whoa whoa whoa what that's game no it's bad nobody's watching it's bad nobody's watching we we we're still interested but Sunday we were running around to doing all kinds of things and I said to Mari you know what we haven't even turned the radio on right so so we turned it on and then you're like oh they're up no they're not they're the MS no they're not and and jabriel I think that's how you pronounce his first name last name Peppers one of the captains yeah has has been arrested for assault and battery and they they say they found cocaine in his wallet guys haven't you been watching the Aaron Hernandez story there's a new version of it out right now it's absolutely terrifying it's by Ryan Murphy and let that be a lesson to you just because you're a big football star doesn't mean you can get away with all kinds of nonsense yeah but making millions of dollars a year and doing cocaine in clubs when you're professional athlete in season yeah as a captain getting arrested and he supposed to be a reasonable guy you know he's he's not seen as a as a as a crazy man or anything he's a Michigan State or um Michigan State guy he's he's you know wellth thought of and respected and and of course you know he denies it all and yada yada but oh Cindy that's something I want to see she says be ready for Total Eclipse of the Heart I want karaoke we've got a karaoke night coming up Curtis is going to be hosting it October 18th it begin over House of hatchets in hyanis shout out to our friend Cliff over there right what could go wrong people are gonna right karaoke and I got one of these and if I don't like the singer I can it's better than the gong show you never know right sorry' you've been chopped you you've been AED it's our version of chopped oh my goodness I think it's a great idea clip I'm on to it so they're in separate areas however you think I think it's a great way to you know music travels sound travels and someone can take their Axe and walk that way as well end the night I love it my son actually asked us to stop because he needed a bloody knife for his Halloween costume I didn't even I didn't actually even ask what the Halloween costume was I just said no well we were in Halloween Town over the weekend Oh been say of course oh yeah everybody was all dressed up to the nines we actually paid money to go to this horrible haunted house M although the whole I kept waiting for someone to jump because I was the last one in line I'm like someone's gonna touch me someone's gonna touch someone's gonna touch me nobody touched me I was I was I was a little sad about it okay thanks Hank you're welcome I was prepped for someone to jump behind me and jump scare me but they didn't the museum up there I forget the name of it there's so many um the museum they have a huge exhibit about narwhals right now the Essex yes okay a huge exhibit about narwhals all right I don't know why do but it's it's well that's a magical creature I mean they're the sea unicorn right right right or some people thought they were mermaids or whatever but they're they're the whales with the one tooth that pops out I think it's a Tusk or a horn yep either way they're super cute I have a friend who wrote a book about narwhals are you serious yes and has been translated into several languages he's a he's an environmental writer I worked with him years ago at um that's kind of cool though Eastern utilities then he went to work at at um URI particularly working with the um uh folks in the whole Marine program down there yeah and he's retired ridiculously young probably because his wife has been a banker all these years either that or he's making that narwhal money we didn't know about oh you know what he does now he goes on cruises for free like cruises of Alaska I'm the marine biologist everybody yeah and and and he's the one that does the talk we're doing it wrong Hank and and he goes on these cruises and he came back from starting to come back from one and he said you know they've asked me to do another one right after this one but well we have company coming I'm thinking Todd get back on the freaking boat seriously seriously who's ever coming if they can't cancel their reservations just tell them where the keys are one of our one of our friends that we've seen here on this show Captain Awesome that's what he does Alaska all those other ones but he cruises for the The Weather Channel or something else just watching our environmental science issues and uh it's I gotta tell you I'm kind of jealous these are amazing Adventures oh they are to just come back here and you know cook at The Family Table collaborative or Bop over and do his um fun little tours he does for kids around the cape for our some of our marine life yeah some really really neat programs we've got around here yes yes we do um today is one of those big deal days I don't know if you're an Amazon person but I just want to remind everyone that one or two or three little items that you buy locally could really shift a big spend here into the cape cot economy with that said I'm not going to stop you from getting your big deals on Amazon today let me know if there's anything good out there oh okay you know I know you're gonna do it anyway so you might as well just try and ask for a few things to shift of course that's all when I when I get the notice from Amazon you know your bill is ready sometimes I go look at it and I go how did that happen right because it's you know I needed a new you know needed a new cord for my headphones and then I needed this and we needed that and bum B bum B bum and all of a sudden it's like oh it's like going to BJs or Costco or something you know you go in for toilet paper and you walk out with two you know two carts full also we used to have companies on the cape I I is there an awards company on the cape somebody can order trophies or anything for well I don't know because I ended up having to order them online and I didn't want to I wanted to use a local company but I couldn't find a local company that did it we have our clam jam that's coming up November 17th right and um we have the hog off if you are an amazing stuffed clam maker we have our amateur competition it's only $10 to enter you only have to feed the judges you're not feeding a mass amount of people so you've got to make 10 decent size clams that our judges can try and the winner gets a trophy so I was just looking for a loco company to make a fun little trophy out of kind of like my little Boss Hog trophies over there right um I think Eric actually ordered one and then put the clam on top of it and spray painted it right the the only one I know of was in Taunton and I used it all the time when I was at the Boys and Girls Club it's an Asian restaurant now oh all right then you know so Lego's that trophy company do you guys still make trophies yeah or nay yeah or nay yes in the back room there still a little corner can I get that with my L man thank you right speaking of which we just do a they don't sponsor us or anything no but the but the Saga restaurant finally Habachi here we have Habachi in in w we went there the other last week I guess we just sat at the bar was just the two of us you need a res you need a reservation to go to the Habachi side yeah the food was great and we could hear what was going on on the other side people were laughing people were cheering isn't that nice you know I I'm sure the the the chefs are throwing knives around and tossing food and and else doesn't matter how many times I've seen that show I'm still amazed oh yeah oh yeah but it's gonna be jamming folks it it it really is everybody's been because there's nothing like that over here on we ended up we ended up going after the football game on Friday you did uh and we found that around 8:30 Cruis right in not a problem problem oh really so you got to go later did you sit on the the the bar side oh the bar side yeah yeah we didn't get Habachi yeah well because he's got his little black stone up there I feel like I have Habachi twice a week very spoiled he's getting very good at it does he put on a little white hat and throw his knives around no I don't have a show yet Hank Okay I'm waiting on that and although the thought of him throwing knives he can barely walk upstairs sometimes he's very clumsy because his brain is on other things okay so yeah then you don't want I don't think he should be throwing knives or working on any of those things but okay I'm sure I bet he does out there when he's out there by himself yeah just like karate in the gym you know it's one of those Step Brothers things I'm sure he does that out there I just don't witness it or haven't yet okay maybe I need to put in my own little secret cameras around here so I could watch him do weird things on the Blackstone turn the outside security cameras right it's my own cooking show I just watch Cliff make me thanks I like this I like this idea very much all right so let's take a little look at crazy crime because I did check in with the um sandwich police they got a couple things well I just really loved this one in three incidents in particular on September 28th I don't know what was going on there but it seemed to be a day to just call the police where um they got a phone call about gunshots so it was all quiet when the officers arrived the call about a woman screaming and then gunshots officers investigated unable to confirm anything mhm um meanwhile caller reported someone sitting in a chair yes near the roundabout they were also volunteering for a bike race right guys stop calling the police for stupid stuff right they are there to take care of us protect us they are peace officers but you see somebody sitting in a chair at a roundabout and you're like I got to call the police on that right right and and they're probably wearing something official looking I would imagine r or there's a table in front of them with water on it or or or something you're right people will call for the dangest things right yeah they saw somebody slide off the hood of a car and just fall on the ground so they called the police right they fell they fell it was an accident yeah they were fine it wasn't like they were lying on the ground distraught right right but all these people who who hear things that there's another one there that that claimed that the kids were running around throwing trash trash can around and when the police got there it was like yeah where what who foolish no I like the real crazy crimes we need to get screaming you know I was thinking people there's several reports there hearing people scream I think people other people have their windows open and they're playing video games honestly have you ever heard a teenager play video games yes I have and we have to tell it a account between the screaming on the game and her screaming y have to say you know older people old people this here it's not even old people I'm like oh my God everyone okay up there and it's 7:15 and most of them have gone to bed really T it down I had a meeting with the uh basically the camp director of The Villages last week oh you did we did we were just talking about maybe doing some activities some events something fun for our residents oh good so uh we we'll see good we have the um never mind I I'll think of fo's coming in a minute okay good yeah just just at a senior moment never the moonlighters we have the moonlighters on Halloween night that's awesome yes they're really enjoyable oh they are uh I Manny is one of my favorite human beings we met at adult volleyball adult volleyball used to be at mashby we used to have fun okay and I mean we were we were all pretty old already I I tore my ACL okay I ended up in the hospital after adult volleyball I remember it's having a story remember I was having a story once about n volleyball it was no no no no we all had our clothes on thank God okay I'm still that's why I'm still friends with Manny and Lynn I can't wait to see you guys with clothes on of course I know do I get an invitation over to the Villages that sounds like a lot of fun yep are you allowed to have outside people come to your parties right sometimes they sometimes it appears yes but most of the time I I can't I can't tell because they sell they sell tickets so you've got to sign up and it I don't I don't I don't quite understand how it works well let me know what's going on over there because I'm curious yeah I know that our friends over at the Valley Grill have the x-rated hypnotist Frank Santos is gonna be there on Thursday night we knew his father right father much knew his father an eloro guy I know yep and it just made me laugh like oh the sun's doing the same thing I love it whatever right so if you're not afraid you're not really gonna get hypnotized it's also just a very fun stage show so right definitely go check him out over at the valley and shout out to our friends Don and will we appreciate you no we had some good National crazy crime like one that I was just like oh this is good especially England where a UK alcoholism charity exec got no no no no no it's not gonna happen is it got caught hiding in a bush after a drunken tree crash gets banned from driving for Life apparently I didn't want that to happen the alcoholism charity over there in England also a nursing home dispute over stolen Vienna sausages leads to resident being stabbed in the chest Vienna sausages those residents spend a lot of time together I guess right I guess have we seen Julie yet no um she might be checking in but no I haven't seen her yet and also a Dallas Uber driver seen on video punching a passenger over a dispute over legum really these are all down south that's the only thing I can say well the other one's England but that's usually a UK thing problem that they've got but right stabbing over Vienna fingers and punching over legum welcome H I actually met the executive of uber while I was in South Carolina you did I did I didn't believe him I Googled him have you ever Googled someone you're like you're full of it right I was like oh it is you uh Jonathan is actually from Rhode Island really yes and how did you stumble across him we we were just yapping to a couple of friends of ours uh nearby and he just came over and started talking with him and I was like I don't believe you hi I'm the head of you no no he sounded so Rhode Island that my friend thought he was Italian she's like no no he's from Italy I'm like Meredith he is not no he's from yeah he's from VOD Island vote Island that's v h o d vode Island she said no no I thought it was Italian no Meredith he definitely was from Rhode Island I love our Sou friends very very much real Italians don't say use guys yeah right what's up Tammy thanks for joining us on the show it's Hank it's Stephanie it's Tuesday and uh yeah we're expecting Milton to uh interrupt our Florida family friends and all of everything that's going on yep and uh we're waiting on Julie to check in with us and uh we're gonna bring Mari on the show she's sitting here waiting in the wings is she there she's here hey Mari hello how are you how are you I feel like I'm on that show um with the married couples and one's backstage do you remember that b con she's backstage bring Maran what REM how is every what's going on in the real estate situation is everybody freaking out are you getting phone calls constantly what do I do do I have enough Insurance did I make the right move so actually I we have the New World Order of real estate that started on August 17th and I kind of waited to come on to talk about it because we all had to adjust to it and I think we're all doing a great job all the cape agents um are doing a wonderful job with it and uh and what it is is um it's all about compensation and who pays who and how buyers now have to sign a contract before they even get to see a house with a buyer agent isn't that normally already a thing Mari it it was in other states but not here and definitely not on the cape so um yeah and you didn't have to you could have a buyer's contract but it wasn't mandatory it's now mandatory to even get into a house so um so before the um seller would hire a listing agent to list their house and pay them compensation and then they'd um say and you you know you can um take some of that money and pay a buyer agent and we could see what our compensation was in the MLS system now a listing agent gets paid from the seller and a buyer agent in the contract now knows how much they're going to pay their buyer agent which I don't think is a bad thing I mean it's very upfront here this is what I'm getting is what you getting yes and it's actually working out I think a lot better than any of us thought you know um we've had a a little pullback from buyers who don't want to sign a contract to see one house but that's okay because obviously they're not serious right they're not ready to go and that's okay and buyers can still go to an open house without you know uh representative um and look at the house and they can you know write their own offer but I wouldn't suggest doing that at all um you know I would suggest if you find the house and you don't have a buyer agent get one you know so um so that's pretty much what's going on it's not as scary as we all thought it was going to be well once again when we all have to do new things nobody likes to do new things and everybody oh the fear the Doom the Gloom they're taking what we're doing I don't know what's happening yeah it's just a scary thing and now it's been employed and you're you're handling right and we're consumers too so we know how we hate to sign something we're right there with everybody else you know oh I got to sign something but we're going to make it as easy as we can everyone you know it's not going to be a scary thing and we'll talk everybody through it yeah we've been talking a awful lot about Milton and and everything else and and we're familiar you much more than I because you're the expert with just the whole real estate situation in in in Florida yeah and how crazy it is all already and you know lots of folks have second homes down there lots of folks have um you know parents who lives down there live down there permanently what do you think is going to is going to happen after Milton rolls through yeah um well last time we had a big hurricane rolled through Florida um we got a lot of people moving back to the cape and and so forth so it'll be interesting to see if that happens again um my heart goes out to everyone in Florida right now like Hank said earlier that's our second home in our hearts and um you know we have a lot a lot of good friends that live all through the state in all the real that are out there um their business is going to take a hit so um wherever you can contribute please do we've already contributed to um clearw aquarium and we'll be contributing you know uh down the road for this next hurricane so um whatever anybody can do would be helpful for all invol my cousin um is there and she was just posting what the school system is basically like we're off the entire week don't even think about school don't even worry about school get the heck out of here move and they moving the college kids off you know Florida State and you know Central Florida and all of that I can't imagine trying to move college kids you're College freshman and you're like okay and now you're coming home if you can get home yeah well that was it my friend Jill we were supposed to get together and um go to Encore on Friday and uh she can't get a flight out yeah and they're expensive everybody's trying to get the hell out of there and no one can so that's also terrifying yeah and um one of my friends um her daughter's out there and she said you know a couple of years ago when there was a hurricane Jet Blue had $99 flights they're now $9.99 yeah that's ridiculous that is price gouging people that's awful I I just you know right and I like Jeet blue but boy stop it Jeet blue really not impressed yeah yeah oh my God every there was a SF with every flight that I took was just like okay whatever it is what it is it ended up being fine and I ended up getting a direct home so I'm not complaining about that portion but yeah did save me two hours but I still got home at one everything else had to be in a cage but apparently not the chicken because Mariana saw the chicken and she went Papa it's a chicken who is getting their chicken blessed I need to have you on my show I need to know you I don't know I love that yeah we had chickens for about a decade my kids absolutely love them but anytime anything would befall one of them which is often Lily would just have an absolute meltdown I can imagine oh it was a big barrial she was like Winona Rider and Beetle Juice the Black Veil uh she all of a sudden turned into one of my Portuguese aunts it was just like oh my God I can't do this every day with you kid I can't do it with the with the with the black night way up leg and everything yeah oh yeah excuse me totally oh my goodness the chicken funerals we would have absolute Ridiculousness chicken getting kids do the darnest things don't they that's awesome I love that I also got to go to the kelus car meet where I ran into one of your buddies there Hank tuy he's he's 10 years older than I am and when I turned 50 and he turned 60 uh his wife Donna and Mari had a 5060 birthday party for us at um at dos oh fun just just one big you know as well party our friends and and and their friends and it was a blast but um hanks's wife Donna was Mari was Megan's thirdd and and fifth grade teacher oh wow and we've known them and been friends with them ever since he's the one that got us playing golf oh I love that though all those years ago and and he's one of those guys that stands up at the tea and goes you know and we're trying to learn going but we I still can't hit it as far as Hank can but that's okay very much laughed out loud I don't normally do that during Saturday Night Live but they had a comedian that we really like Nate berety that was hosting and they did a golf skit oh they did and it's so funny I have to pull it up for you afterwards because I was just not expecting it it was something that I hadn't seen in a concept that they've never done so I was like all right it's actually really funny it's so it's cheesy it's kitschy but it's it's very very funny so I did enjoy watching the golf skit and I have a tea time at 10:14 this morning oh there you go so well it's GNA be a better day than it was yesterday yesterday was just gloomy like what a thunder lightning night before I was out there trying to chase Aurora Borealis you know people can't seem to find it Well Be because what they weren't telling you is that it's a lens on their camera so it it's atmospheric change that was happening yeah and so it really wasn't what was visible to the naked eye oh it was a camera setting in a lot of cases um but for us we just it wasn't far enough down for us there were like very small little spotting sightings of it in the Brewster area and also on gre's beach for like a 10minute period people got like little glimpses of it also a camera setting so don't freak out that you weren't available they didn't mention that yeah right anywhere nowhere cliff and I were driving around at 10 o'clock at night him it's literally the blind leading the blind because there is no street lights where you're going because you're trying not to have light right pollution so you can see it well yeah well our old eyes can't see that anymore so we're all like we need to go home we're gonna we're gonna just we're gonna get in a car wreck this is foolish right what are you doing looking for the auroras idiots look at those two cute old I know yeah right we had a fun a little Adventure what we do now oh and you went home and you had your hot totties and you right yeah right no we didn't I was like leave me alone you're making noise put on your CPAP machine good night in the most loving way I possibly could how it is now Hank this is how it is oh well I know uh so it is Halloween season and there are parties there are get togethers there are Spirit Halloweens popped up all over the place and I saw a study that said it is rude to Neighborhood hop whilst trick-or-treating it is rude really really I've never heard this that it was rude ever in my entire life now I mean neighborhood trick-or-treating has kind of Gone on by the wayside because we do now have the trunk Retreats but of kind of our neighborhood used to be teaming with and we this side this side Brierwood the whole area that in which we live there are 700 houses like it was just such a magical place for the kids my husband used to deck out their little wagon with either make it a ship or make it some sort of cool thing to like walk around the neighborhood with and then we would get in the car and then go to another one of our friends houses it wouldn't be a big deal to Neighborhood hop you go to the places where you know they've got good candy of course well they're saying that's rude now oh well Mariana has gone down to the Village sandwich Village um the last couple years I don't know what she's doing this year she didn't do it last year either but before that because apparently the folks in the in the village they give up the big candy bar yeah you go where the good candy is right I just wish I would see people trick-or-treating on the regular out life yes period at this point but we're not I'm just looking for Julie there I don't see no I haven't seen hopefully she's okay yeah all right I know Julie if you're out there just just let us know you're okay because we're kind of we're kind of worried you said nous you're gonna be checking in now we're nervous I cannot believe what were you doing in 24 years old oh God right they caught this person at the airport yep like ready to flee oh Jee 24 years old that's scamming people yeah like did she think that you know Cape cot is this place that no one will never know they'll never know who I am right this is a woman out of Flushing New York by the way I don't know if you've seen this true life real life crazy crime that happened here people were swindled um that was just the one that they've caught they say that there's more involved in this case yeah it's it's another one of those you know someone proposing is someone from the government or official and you've got to put your money here I think the premise for this one was um drug dealers or somebody had gotten a hold of um the person's Social Security account so or whatever the number and and they had to move their money into a into a safe account that the I don't believe anything now I think everything's a scammed to the point where they shut my debit card off last week I was like I don't believe any of this none of this is real none of this is real like no Stephanie actually it's real you you have to deal with this I was like oh okay I thought I was a scam guys in the app all right fine I'm in the app it's not an email but I didn't respond to the email because I was like that's a lie right I don't believe anything well we're having trouble with with um we have a a business account with a with a particular Bank yeah and we have a debit card connected with the business that we attempt to pay business bills with yeah and honest to God it's so annoying and stressful isn't it it's annoying I mean it's clearly we're a business clearly this is a business and they've shut down I have to call again today they've they've we do advertising on Google yeah this is the third time twice in the last month and I know it's for our safety because there so many scams and everything going on and thank you for protect ing us and yourself but also it's very annoying it is and this whole double access code thing now you put your password in and then two-part authentification I'm sorry I can't remember it I'm just used to it I'm like here you go whatever no no I just sorry I just it's just it's it's aggravating yeah so I mean it's understandable why people are getting scammed because it's just like you're fed up whatever take it just take it all I don't care right sounds right I don't know I'm not going to fight you on on this oh it is frustrating um I was supposed to talk to Carol Bosco Bowman I'm going to push that interview till tomorrow the cape Wellness collaborative has their Halloween Gayla coming up and uh she's gonna talk a little bit about she's the new executive director over there uh so they're doing a really cool event that looks like a lot of fun I won't be able to partake in it just because I've got other activities going on as when don't I have other activities going on you always have other activities going on fully booked for the month of October and November which is wild really uh yeah fully booked so I I'm excited about it um but at the same time it's just like you it's not fun when you don't know like what am I doing today no I'm booked I'm fully booked which is very nice and I'm I'm thankful to be busy but also very very stressful when it comes to trying to squeeze in important matters of my health yeah yeah yeah you do have to take care of that and and import and important appointments and whatnot so that's very annoying it's just going to be strategery for the next month or two y as we're ending the year that's it right I can't even watch anything political at this point I'm now already irritated we knew this day would come but I'm already irritated with the New Hampshire ads and the main ad who's the main lady that that's like the problem now oh I haven't seen the main lady yet I've I've seen I've seen it actually Mari and I were talking about this last night the New Hampshire people at least change the freaking ad well it's a one for and then it's a one after they've got the pack that's doing the anti- ad of the one four every single one right so it's a cute ad of her and her husband talking about whatever and then it's the anti- them on the next commercial and I was just like I can't do I like her do I hate her do I know I don't care I'm not even voting for this human right there's one with the person lady who's running for governor who apparently allegedly turned the streets of Manchester into oh yes I don't know what and then there's the other one where she says one thing she says one thing and and I'm all for Reproductive Rights and then this is whole is the things it says well no you're not really but please change them I know and you know the other thing that I I have no interest in this you know the other thing that I always think about when you when you listen to those ads who actually what real person talks that way right no one does so and so is too liberal for what or too conservative for what no one no one talks that way well it's 2024 except politicians no one talks that way period but apparently did you see the new podcast that Google is putting out no they make a fullon podcast of whatever document you upload and these two AI humans sound very real like scary real like you and I having this conversation that's totally not with real people yep a dialogue of whatever you upload whatever document you upload to them some guy uploaded his 401k yeah they made a podcast about it Cliff did it the other night and he uploaded I forget what it was just like this dumb AI T it whatever it was and they just it was a man and a woman and they just read it just having a real real conversation just using the words in the document no but using the information in the document but actually having a real conversation about it it was so scary wait a minute wait a wait a minute they didn't read it like word for word they took the information and then they generated a conversation correct holy poop right they made a podcast with AI but they weren't AI voices they were just a regular man and woman's voice yeah it sounded scary real wow and just using regular dumb vernacular of of a a regular human being like you would not it's not politicians speak and it's not a may I speak it is very very scary and this is this is Google's new offering well aren't they wonderful very scary so you're never GNA know if you're talking to a real person anymore period you really don't know no no no you don't no you never know who when you answer the phone that was one of our pod uh that was one of our trivia questions how do how can you tell when it's a computer trying to imitate a human do you know what what the name of that scale is or that test is it's a touring test really Shing yes so that was that the video uh the movie that was recently out but that that was developed technology back in Wartime yeah um that they are still now using to try and tell if things are AI or not and it's super frightening well you see all the things on um uh I'm not anti- technology by the way or or or Tik Tock and and I don't care if it's vice president Harris or or former president Trump and and they're putting up these 25 and 30 second Snippets and you just look at them and you go that's not true or real that never happened that's not that never happened they never said that freaky I mean I'm a fan of one and not a fan of the other but but but I don't I mean I don't care who it is nothing it's it's well more a fan of one because I don't can't stand the other one but um you look I don't know but people apparently believe this stuff yeah well they see the these these videos these wheels are are that's too much work to look it up oh you see that's the thing you you you look it up if it looks funny you look it up I mean all this stuff now about again getting back to the hurricane about um you know the the government assistance that's available and and what isn't available and the stuff that's being pumped out how about how about the scientists that changed the trajectory of the hurricane oh yeah I mean it it it is real they did move it a little they were messing with it that that did happen I it's crazy right it's just crazy and who would have thought we would be living in this here we are oh yeah yeah don't don't believe what people put on Facebook about this is what this group or that group or this organization or this government I want to talk about fun stuff like what Halloween costume are you g to be I don't know I think I I don't even know if we even have an activity to go to at this point I don't know if we have a party I feel like we should have a party but I don't need to schedule anything else for myself I was gonna say you don't have one planned already somewhere you don't we are out a couple of times that week and it's definitely going to be Halloween themed week and you know I'm a fan of Halloween dress and and Community meetings and someone's like we need this we need this and we need this and we need this and there's Stephanie like hamsters are moving ah Le let's let's do this so we we said yes to a very big project for 2025 I haven't unveiled it and um we haven't talked about it and once again I they're it's a lofty fundraising goal so we'll see if we're uh able to meet this in 2025 but I'm very much looking forward to it so I got a meeting with a farmer today well if she's looking forward to it then I guess I'm looking forward to it you definitely are we're gonna be feeding people Hank what's better than that I'll go with food exactly there food is our lifeblood and we're going to be doing a lot of food things and uh we we've got some fun activities for our entire community and uh really I I thank you so much for the amount of hours that you have put in to not only lemonade o but lemonade as well and our Farmers Market honestly you and Mari and Mariana it has been an all family all people on Deck we've had fun so many great volunteers like I'm I'm gonna get weepy about it next week but I'm already like getting in my feelings about it this week especially as I have to push send
