foreign good morning how are you doing I'm doing well hello boys and girls how you doing all right now you're officially tagged I think we've got all the things rolling this morning all right and I can't hear myself well I can't help you all right well once again folks I am on a shortly Shake time no net but a short leash I don't know why you can't hear anything maybe there there we go all right let's just a volume issue not a leash issue that's on order oh my no neck just no neck just a leash how's your week I guess it was good it was busy I don't know every everything just seems to kind of like merge all together now and right and all of a sudden it's like almost the end of August and everybody's going back to school in in a couple of weeks and it's like over are we gonna just talk about your wretched Patriots right now or oh no are we gonna wait on that one yeah yeah we'll wait on that we've got another preseason game coming up yeah against the Green Bay Packers they're actually going out to Green Bay um to have joint practices and then they're going to play the Packers I think morning John I think Saturday night so I have but they did sign Ezekiel Elliott which could be a big deal you think that that's going to help us I think so if he can if he can play half as well as he used to that could be that could be a big um isn't he like I don't know he's 30. I isn't that awful but for running back yeah he's old so that's one of the reasons why he got done exactly because you're done after 30 if you're if you're a running back right so this is your chance this is your swan song Right which is crazy so he signed a one-year contract which means if he has a great season the Patriots don't sign him because they don't spend that kind of money and he'll go sign a big contract with somebody else I saw you and Mari wearing your Patriot shirts and I was like oh that's it yes we're gonna do terrible or Henry Senate yes so I mean there is a player named Hunter Henry right so my shirt was legit and then she put Senate on the back of hers with of course Tom Brady's number 12 and you stand us together and we're my name very cute which is really cute but I as soon as I saw that I'm like we're not winning tonight weird taunting it's like we're taunting could have gone to the game that night and a friend had a friend had tickets and asked me to go and we were just watching the weather and we were like you know I don't know it's just an exhibition see it becomes that I'm so much more comfortable in my own home right right and it's that night right so he came over and we had a couple of beers and and you know my report a couple couple things together and we had we had a you know we had a great time but if you looked at the turnout at the stadium there wasn't a whole lot of people there right now we know better right they're not showing us any fancy looks good morning Miss Mari thanks for joining us oh no they don't play any of the any of the real players they might this week I think because there's only three exhibition games there used to be six and you know the real players used to used to get in maybe game four game five but now there's only three so I I think we might see some of the some of the starters on um on Saturday night a lot of football news going on today for whatever reason uh Tom Brady's girlfriend saying that she had to close her circle of people Irina Sheikh talking about the fact that at a closer circle of people because of the paparazzi and how much more high profile he is she's had to close her circle of people well who was her previous boyfriend though wasn't he Bradley Cooper which is kind of high profile and then there was another one in there too that was also high profile so I'm not sure what like this Tom Brady business made you closer Circle even smaller but okay does he have a thing for models who dated movie stars because Giselle was Leo's longtime girlfriend right so now he switched to I think Irene the shake also dated Leo I think Leo has dated them all everybody yeah I think that's the entry boyfriend that you've got when you're a model you get Leo at 17 you start off with Leo and then you move on to wherever it is that you want to I also heard he smells sidebar I I yeah and I've heard all signs all kinds of rude and crew jokes about about Leo and models and none of which even on cable or YouTube but I would repeat yeah yeah but Bradley Cooper didn't leave one of the world's top models facts good morning Miss Eva and Hank don't mention me on a stick to me oh I saw that yeah I saw that no I won't we ain't going there well he kept showing it to me I was like stop showing me your Meats that Pitter should know better he absolutely right better he absolutely knows better he does I mean the voice of Cape Cod he should know better than to be showing it whatever so funny yeah he wasn't showing me because whatever just as meat on a stick um so Paige Peyton Manning out there going to be a college professor yep yep he's going to go teach Communications classes I like that I feel like that's Noble oh I think so and I think it's okay now to say we like Peyton Manning yeah I think he's I think he's funny I do I do I like his attitude he is funny about it he is gracious about the fact that his brother has more rings than him right he's he is funny about the whole situation oh yeah oh yeah he's kind of a whiny bee though to me I don't know what it is really you're a whiner Peyton so laughing all the way to the bank absolutely you know he's just playing imagine getting to the point in life where you can just play yeah which is what he's doing he's always done it he's just playing yeah okay I think I'm gonna play TV person now yeah yeah if he decided he wanted to go to Hollywood and play actor he could go and play actor he's done that I'll play Tom Brady right although I'll play with this right although we'd look at we'd look at Peyton Manning if he was in a movie and go that's Peyton I know when he was playing a serial killer or a speaking about movies there's the interesting Saga going on now about the movie what is it Blind Side The Blind Side good morning Gabby where are the football player's name is Michael Oher Michael Oher is claiming once again problems with the movie he he claimed before something about the movie wasn't wasn't real first of all folks it's a movie and right it's not a documentary it's a movie it really was a good movie though it was really good in that movie I liked it I liked that a lot right but apparently he's now claiming that um the two E's which was the family that in the movie adopted him but in the movie they really didn't adopt them they just had um they just put in the paperwork um to to have custody or something um but he's saying now that they got paid and he didn't that they got a person waiting so long to say that like that's what is that movie's 20 years old there's something actually I don't know how old that is but it's all it's old it's old there's something I gotta be careful what I say there's something not right in this in this scenario 2009 so yeah there's something not right I I get the sense it seems like one of those things where someone's talking to him and and telling him he should be doing this well yeah Dave and John because he's out of money I mean yeah and also I you're a football player you get hit in that a lot your judgment is questionable regardless of whatever it is so I don't know if it's fact or not it'll it'll come out but it's sad that you're attacking the people that were your biggest supporters for a really long time so right and I don't think there's any denying that whether they adopted him or not or just got custody of a Minot or whatever whether it's true or not right but he's back in the headlines and he's back out there trying to get some some press we're talking about him right now oh I know so he's gonna find his way into some more money maybe that's all you do is cause a problem and then people give you money so we've learned these things somehow given the image that's Sandra Bullock projects oh she's not a tough week I can't believe she's done anything I know untoward yep The Saga will turn into another movie or a documentary exactly there you go Yep this drama yep it'll be an ESPN 30 for 30 or something so they'll televise anything at this point no actors are working everybody's still on strike I don't know what we're gonna see does anybody notice we talked about just last week well because it's not fall yet it's not time for like other shows what have they shot what is not you know we're still backed up in content right what about the late night shows are they still chuggling along Gabby she causes problems for the money of the Late Night show s or they we runs as well I don't know I'm not up that late I'm not either I don't even watch those I never watched those shows for the last 20 years I mean we usually watch the Snippets afterwards just to see what was going on I mean Jimmy Fallon can write his own jokes since Stephen Colbert can write his own jokes but they don't let them which I don't understand why they're not yeah they're not allowed to like do their own writing they're not writers they have a say in what they're allowed to talk about but it's weird that you don't write your own stuff I can't imagine if they didn't let Conan it's the same way they have to allow the writers there's something about the right the writer of the show for the writers I mean Conan was a was a writer on Saturday Night Live he had a he um we played a podcast and Lynn says no they're not new happy anniversary Lynn I don't know there's a there's a picture of two young people all dressed up and the number 36 and I love the the laissez faire number 36. there was a saying when you're celebrating an anniversary the ones that have all of the we love each other and we've got this and this and we've been through this those are the ones with the problems oh the 47 page I love you is to your person that you've been married to right but usually it's like love you have a great day big one coming up and yeah I'm not I'm not gonna write the seven Dead Sea Scrolls books on how wonderful our marriage is every day when I want to murder it most days this is not don't hold this against me if something bad happens to him speaking of the anniversary speaking of anniversary yes our first crazy crime of the morning courtesy of the blog of the sandwich the log of the sandwich please Department wonderful the gift that just keeps on giving anniversaries it was a memorable anniversary dinner for a Rainham couple who left a local restaurant after they have their celebratory dinner to find their Jeep missing police responded while the restaurant management reviewed security video a tow company was called to tow a Jeep in the parking lot and took the wrong one what understandable because there are a lot of Jeeps you can't my husband was on the side of the road for hours trying to get a tow truck to come over there and all of a sudden this one's out there getting the wrong Jeep at dinner how fast was that clearly it was a AAA they must have been at if it was an anniversary dinner I'm gonna go stay over at tomatoes really for a tow truck I don't know well where would you if maybe on the water if you're going to pick a restaurant oh oh that's true I'm thinking I'm thinking near the water maybe I don't know you're thinking I just can't believe the tow truck got there at the time that they had dinner to disappear their Jeep once again I'm Blown Away by the time frame here yeah unless they were there eating for three hours I don't understand it you know that doesn't make any sense does it no and to me it doesn't make any sense but I mean maybe they were there for hours really enjoying open it up on their anniversary who am I to judge I was just questioning the timeline okay let's think about this how would you know to go to a parking lot at a restaurant to look for a jeep that you're trying to tow John makes a very good point there are these things called license plates right yes true like wait what a rather interesting new invention incredible uh yeah the Jeep culture on the cape is insane one of my um I sent um our marketing person here to go get their headshots done and our favorite photographer Denise's so goes over to Denise's Place uh fleeting Moments by the way if you need any photos done she's fabulous and she gave her little rubber duckies because that's the Jeep culture oh really apparently you get ducked they put little rubber ducks on your Jeep in random places you'll go into a store and come out it'll be a rubber duck on your Jeep oh okay I I don't have a Jeep so I don't know I don't collect it I don't I don't either it's a duck thing wasn't there just a rubber ducky race somewhere that they dumped the rubber attack Regatta like a thousand rubber ducks in the I don't know I don't know where we're somewhere and the first one that crossed one we used to do that for the March of Dimes in Dennis where we dumped them into the Bass River and see which duck everybody had a wrote something down on the bottom of the duck and then whoever got it first it's called getting ducked the Repo Man oh maybe it was the Repo Man oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah it was the Repo Man for sure it was the Repo Man for sure like damn it wrong one go back to the drawing board on that one which if it was the Repo Man even more that they should have looked at the license plate yeah because the Repo Man would want to be sure that he got the right right like you don't get paid if you get the wrong car zombies I woke up this morning to my husband laughing hysterically he was looking at uh a video of one of our our friends backyards because he's house sitting and uh they have a giant pool in their backyard it's Provincetown it's land of toys this week for Carnival and there's a giant giant rubber duck just floating in the pool so I look over at him and he's just looking at the camera laughing and I'm like what are you doing it's just a giant rubber duck floating around a pool he's like I don't know why I enjoy this so much I'm like you look crazy I'll make coffee that was how my morning began another rubber duck situation so very bizarre we're yeah we're nearing the end of the summer here on the cape which is uh we have no shortage of tourists although I was chatting with another local in the Provincetown area last week and they said it was so quiet really quieter than it has been in a long time and I don't know whether it was the week because it was the week prior to Carnival yeah so maybe it was just a slow intro to a big banging week this week I don't know yep we've got road race this weekend it's like both ends of the cape are going to have the most amount of people on them this weekend well children prepare for yourself judging by the traffic trying to get out of our street and onto 151 or whatever um there's a lot of there's a lot of people here yeah there are yep there is no shortage Tracy the best one for me was when I popped a tire at 11 30 at night called the roadside service that came with my car and they couldn't locate me on West Main Street come to find out they had the wrong company the same company called them Pop-A-Lock in another state oh geez yeah right on top of that they just told my husband to leave the car on the side of the road really they lit like leave it I'm like what do you mean what do you mean leave it yeah so I had to go pick him up on the side of the road and Wellfleet well you do have a fleet of vehicles we do so it's not like it's not like you would have been without something but I was busy Hank I didn't have time to be driving a wealth lead that day so I had to drop everything I was doing and go pick them up off the side of the road all right and then even still it was 24 hours later they still hadn't towed my vehicle yet really still on the side of the road it was there for almost two days before it got home well if it was the Stephanie mobile that would have been great right great brass that would have made fresh oh look at that no they would have hurried up and towed that thing no the other one unbranded yeah good morning Lynn you have a good day how was our moonlighters on the beach I so sad that I missed it it was too busy it was too crazy I had too many house projects going on I really wanted to go see him but I just couldn't get out of my own damn way in fact my husband shut off the power washer really it was like you're done you're done for the day I got on a tear we were going to meet friends over there and um one of them drove over couldn't find a place to park because there were people still on the beach because the weather was yeah there were people coming to see the moonlighters yep there was a wedding oh it was a perfect storm and she called us and she said I can't find a place to park you know guys uh are you gonna come or should we go somewhere else and we went we'll see you with somewhere else somewhere else yeah it happens oh yeah I've I've talked about this with uh Tori which we'll be back with new episodes for our podcast coming up in September I got to chance to see her she came out to music video bingo at tomatillos on Wednesday but she is one of those people that will pull into somewhere and if there's no parking literally we'll just go home yep not going to parallel park not gonna figure it out not gonna wait in return I'll do one lap around the parking lot there's no parking I'm leaving I'm not that person Hi Patricia thanks for joining us this morning that summer is ending when the when the moonlighters are playing at craigville beach yeah it is you know I mean it's just all these all these signs like oh my gosh well let's not rush it we're only halfway through August right now we still have some time I mean and technically summer isn't over until according to the calendar September 20 something or rather yes but the weather people will call us meteorological thank you I can't say that I can't say that sometimes there are some words that you have to be strategic about them that's one of them just like I'm so grateful that the Electric Light Orchestra goes by ELO right because I can't say you have to say it slow that word without and thoughtfully sounding like I'm learning how to speak all over again rivalry week you have to say it I've I've oh God see we we no you have to say it very slowly yes and with great intention so yes meteorological fall is going to be happening soon yes that's the only thing that we've got coming up for us weather did not allow us to see any of the perseids which kind of made me a little bit sad I kind of wanted to see any of that and uh it just wasn't a nice weekend no we had spots of niceness right but not at the time in which you can view Stars no it just didn't happen for us no I went out with Mariana one night to try to try to look and it was a cloud cover there and cloud cover over there and we're looking and she said you know I think I say and we did catch you know but through the but through the cloud cover that's the time you get the sunburns I have friends visiting us from pencil Tucky and the poor little thing is like pencil Tucky that's what I call it it's like the area of Pennsylvania that might as well just be Kentucky yeah there I hear banjos that's that's the area in which Pennsylvania they live in there are different pennsylvanias and you know this yes you know how big it is so they're visiting from Pennsylvania that's what I call it anyway the poor little thing she got so sunburned yesterday poor Vanna get some aloe we've got aloe plants all over my house if you need some aloe yep I got you because I'm the queen of sunburns but my son got one of those because of the cloud coverage yeah exactly so he has slats on his back that are sun tanned into his back a terrible sunburn at the beginning of the summer and it's not gone away they look like little prison stripes the poor thing household football practice coach he's just allowed out of his room today today's the big day oh really he tested negative last night he's been locked in his bedroom for five days the poor kid has literally been living like a prisoner I bring everything up on his tray and I leave it on the table outside he had never gotten it before oh he's fully backed yeah you just never had it right and he went to uh big sweet 16 party with all of his friends then he got a call from the football coach because half the football team had it and I was like oh he's like Mom I I Feel Fine the next day I don't feel so fine yep tested positive locked away at his bedroom for five days five whole days wow he said can I come out and play basketball so bad but he's finally he's out it's five days now so it's very different is he feeling better yeah oh he wasn't really there was only one day he felt bad yeah one day he was kind of junky and then that was it yeah but I guess there's a Resurgence out there because there is susceptible so yeah there is yeah yeah prepare for it and there's another there's going to be another vaccine coming later on this year I'm not doing them anymore I think of it what you want whatever I just I can't I'm not doing it right now our doctor told us not to take the one the booster that's out now because there's another one coming a better one is going to be better yeah because I think you're going to get to a certain point What's going to be like flu shots it's just what it is it's one of those one of those things yeah I don't care what you believe in get it don't get it but just know that it's out there again and if you get sick we don't want to hear about it right thank you you're welcome yeah so my brother is in town I had my brother for like one whole hot minute he's been here for 24 hours oh really yeah and that's it he's going back makes me sad he's going back to New York already yeah why because he's got to work oh he's a workaholic now he's a New Yorker now he's a fox person it's weird he's not wet weather right now right the weather okay I think he can trust the weather on Fox I you know he is really enjoying it he's working with a couple of shows he really likes and he's just it's his first real big time it's a big job oh yeah that's a big job you know he's got his own space floor walk up hey but it's on the Upper East Side so well there you go he's fancy yep and it's like great shape I mean I would love forced exercise like that yep like everything you do you have to be mindful about dragging it up five flights yeah that's a workout that's also strategy must be a pain in the neck with groceries and stuff he looks great he's really in shape yeah he's earned it for sure yeah good morning Tracy yeah I have to be forced yep it happens it's all good healthy living that's our question of the day today what are you doing that is called or for your health really the only thing I'm doing is water and vitamins I do my very best to get enough sleep eh what do you do for your health well that's an interesting question do you have a big checkup coming up Hank yeah I do but every time you go to the doctor all they want to do is talk to your wife yes correct um it's unbelievable um yeah it's true oh it's true they want to talk to her because I have a big checkup coming up I will be I will be one year um since I concluded my my radiation treatments for prostate cancer awesome and um I went for my six-month checkup and Mari did not come with me and the only thing anyone asked me was where's Mari even the doctor you're like I'm the patient here you're supposed to be asking about me even the Doctor Who's a really nice guy um he came into the to the room and I'm sitting up on the table and the chair is empty um where she would be sitting and he just turns and looks and goes he just had a baby I wanted to show pictures of my baby hey you know I'm I'm the guy here so Tracy's sending congratulations thank you and and I already had my my test and my test results were very good which means I don't even know why I'm going to this appointment I should just send Mari so they can talk about her pocketbook and Dr Desai can show her pictures of the baby because that's awesome because I'm fine they don't need me they don't care about me they just want to talk to Mari so John Diet Coke all the chemicals keep you cleaned out just because it cleans the toilet doesn't mean it cleans your insides seriously I'm concerned for your well-being Brian I take my daily medication I walk twice eat more blueberries for longer walks that's what my doctor said Amy her daily workout Stephanie lifting weights walking with friends and snuggling her kid I like these things so our question is what's the healthiest thing which can you do which which kid could you snuggle right my son money doesn't have covid for like five seconds right and then he's too hot he's like a little wolf Mariana a granddaughter won't even hug us anymore oh wow we got a shoulder yeah so she's a chicken wing right so when she leaves I'll say honey can I have a shoulder and you get the wing in it if you give me that I say okay love you and I don't even get I love you back I just get a look no no clean is a toilet John your insides are not a toilet that's not what I said she didn't mean it that way definitely did not that's all I do is water in vitamins I do my best running on the treadmill thank you for sharing Denise Martin walked Christina sleeps and Super Goo just move your body it's so true if you don't use it you lose it and I've noticed that I think I think I went to the pool last week there you go once but you have an indoor outdoor pool I feel like I would be using it more often we thought we'd be using it more often too but again the weather's been so crazy that we went down on I think Friday yeah Friday we went down um like about 11 o'clock and and we were looking at each other saying you know we should have used this more often it's the end of the summer and you know here we go again but then we like yeah but how many days could we have come down anyway we got the inside one right or is that too hot the inside one a lot of people use for exercise yeah so even if you wanted to use the inside one you'd be dodging people you got to be an exercise with them walking walking back and forth yeah although I did I was down in the in the uh Community Center and they had the exercise class going on in the pool yeah and I just thought of you no water aerobics are old people soup whole people soup because they're just Bounce It Up and Down and I thought oh my God I that's my husband by the way who dubbed that term but he's not wrong it's hot sweaty and I love the water aerobics though I really enjoy it it's great on my joints and I actually get a little bit sore when I do it so I do enjoy the the water aerobics and they had a great crowd down there I mean there were a lot of people taking advantage of it not to this is going to sound really awful the water's been a little cold oh because of all the rain water cold because of all the Rainwater and I don't think they're turning the heater on but I'll let someone else explain about that Aaron said it'd be weird I think it'd be a little weird if they were checking Mari for prostate so I don't think Mario can fill in for your doctor's appointments just an FYI well thank you yes but never gonna care about me how you doing is everything okay yep good hey six months old now and and oh those are uplifting doctors appointments those are the ones you like there's a check-in we're gonna go over all these results and you're on with your day those are the lovely ones so enjoy those ones right I mean he's going to ask me the same question as annoying as it is he's going to ask me the same questions that the nurse asked me and the answers are going to be the same and and that's positive stuff oh it is oh absolutely I'm very grateful I was shocked that that my test results that the number actually went down yeah that's exciting and it was lower than what it was um six months ago which would have been six months after I finished finished treatment yeah and it was ridiculously low then that's exciting um so uh you know I mean I must be doing something right I don't know what I'm doing for exercise or whatever maybe it's maybe it's the coffee yeah that's right that's your healthy living right there that's my Healthy Living I saw one of our friends restaurants that was hiring seems to be many people are hiring because the college kids started to go back last week and I've seen more so than even the beginning of the Season people desperate for help whether it's restaurants whether it's um just even seasonal places looking to just get until um what weekend is it Columbus Day weekend Columbus Day weekend yep so I I don't know and they're paying generally speaking very well the restaurants are paying really well now yeah yep for sure but I saw someone that specifically was requesting mature adults to work in their place yeah I saw that too and I thought hmm I like that though yeah because there's no there's no Guff I had this conversation a little bit with Pitta yesterday off the air I don't think we talked about it on the year about how I I have two mature hosts that I have um in lemonadeio and I love them they are retired they're looking to just get out and socialize they are looking for a couple of hours here and there so not too many hours it's not too much work and they I never really have to worry about them right here's your stuff do the program have a great day yep I don't have to worry about what they look like if they're gonna show up they do what they say and there's no there's no real nonsense there right with anything yeah and if we're talking about the same the same restaurant it's kind of pubby yeah where and older not older like me but but old and we're not talking about ageism here we're just saying yeah where someone who's a bit more yeah young people have young people problems well there's always drama we'll probably be a better fit yeah exactly but I like that they specifically are requesting a mature adult yeah to do the job because sometimes I mean obviously I'm going to be mentally immature for the rest of my life but right I well I'll get to that point where retirement's not cutting it I mean we might want to work six to eight hours doing something yeah just for socialization but I also thought when I read that if someone wanted to that's all someone that's discriminatory okay right you know I mean if the right person presents though right sometimes you just need the right person for the job yeah once again young people have young people problems family gets in the way boyfriends get in the way school gets in the way your hours are different it's just a different time set in your life good morning because we just redid both our bathrooms and I was thinking damn we should have waited legit we had the same issue our dryer broke the weekend before tax-free weekend with all these people here your dryer broke mm-hmm thank God I've got Jonathan from crane I got the new dryer and it was in not a problem my husband can't lift his hands above his head so that was also a small little problem yep you gotta understand folks this place is more than a frat house now it's more than an inn it's more than a bed and breakfast it's it's it's flat out it's a hotel there are people at every crevice she needs to be hiring like made custodian probably a chef to feed everybody we have no we have no housing sorry everybody's in Stephanie's house we have the camper that's where I can store my workers to do all the stuff that I need done around here I did get the front walkway done though I saw that it was nice I finally got it all cleaned out and you know falling over yourself a little scared when I came in this morning because of the dog we have an extra dog no no no no no the house was in darkness oh yeah and I was like uh oh and I immediately pull out my phone is there a text nope okay no no you're allowed to be here I'm supposed to be here open the door and and the dog came bounding over to me we had a later night because we had some family time and we were just kind of hanging out and I just I could not get into when it's days like this that are overcast and rainy and stuff I'll just kind of lay there and I'm like I should be doing X Y and Z I'm wide awake yeah and I'm going over my to-do list and all the things that I've got to get done but I I could not move today I physically couldn't do it I was to work at 4am so is my husband we woke up like a Mark I'm turning on all of the lights and the bathroom and the shower and this all day long this is how it goes I tried to I mean I stayed in bed to like ten after five and then I mean I didn't go back to sleep and then the cats knew I was when the cat the children knew I was awake so I had to feed them and you know when I'm up and running and had a coffee and watched the news and thought to myself God this is depressing seriously you're turning into that guy don't be that guy hey I don't want to be that guy no we need to get you doing some like mindful meditation today's the healthy show we're working on being healthier I've been watching this thing I don't know why when I'm like in my dead Scrolls of Instagram Facebook you can do wall Pilates you can do bed yoga these all appeal to me very much so that's what I was doing he is the crazy cat man so I was like oh maybe if I could look like her after just you know stretching out on the bed every once in a while there you go well there I am this morning doing my my bed yoga thinking about my healthier self then I thought how long do I have to do the bed yoga for right before I actually see any difference right is this a joke is this just one of those things to get me to buy a program oh probably not doing it but I will do the stretching and we'll do the bad yoga once again appeals to me and my laziness oh yeah I mean it seems easy to just gotta lie there or chair exercising right hey it's something all right don't judge me right right I'm doing something have you seen anything better from our sandwich police friends oh this is one of our our favorite times we talk about crazy crime here on the show often but the sandwich police Hank wants to get the writer of whoever is writing their police blog uh but they probably don't want to be seen they probably don't want to be outed no probably well there's this one officers we're off to see the wizard what an Osprey Lane caller reported an argument with neighbors about their party guests urinating in the backyard in view of other neighbors when officers arrived to parties had already left the area but we're off to see the wizard I mean that's just that's clever yep it's a crime people don't be doing it in public you had kind of a guilty look on your face there for a minute well Hank since it is Falmouth Road Race weekend I'd like to uh talk about a story I don't know if you've ever heard the story of Stephanie having to go to the bathroom during the Falmouth Road Race uh no I haven't and I don't know much but I'm all ears which particular charity I was running for that year I'm not sure but I definitely know I had Viva on the back of my shirts and I'm running and you know the call the call happened and I know see even our cameras like I don't even want to focus on this yeah the camera just wondering about this her camera's like oh boy I'm tired I'll give it a minute here I'm gonna finish the story right it always came back last week and now they're coming back into Focus oh you know what I lean back see it's you maybe that's it damn it Hank stay still all right all right no so I was running the Falmouth Road Race I think it was like three three miles in and it's a particular woodsy area and I thought here I go I gotta go I gotta go I'm going now these woods look great and I lean back and I start to go and I hear a whole family start laughing and then I look up and I'm underneath someone's deck and they're having a party cheering on the entire Road Race oh did they see you of course they saw me oh and I had an identifying name on my back sure and and an identifying voice oh they know who I am oh yeah because every time I see them at Shipwrecked they're like hi how you doing I have grades oh when you gotta go Hank you gotta go yeah I know I understand that but oh my gosh so next time when you're in public just make sure you don't have identifying items on like your last name on your shirt or yeah yeah something like that vehicle to identifying with yeah you know the stuff in Mobile or a logo that says Mari Santa plus today real estate you're just as bad well I don't stop and pee in the woods so that's not a problem for me not that I haven't been tempted sometimes but I've been managed to get to get home the beginning of time Hank we've been at this that's what we used to do all right I'm gonna see I'm going to see if my leaning back no sorry can't blame me yay it's not my fault for once not you you didn't do it for once but once it's not me do you have anything going on specifically this week I know I've got um tomatillos on Wednesday we have a big fundraiser that we're doing over at knockabout on Sunday for Rocklin trust Tommy's place it's the last push for our lemonade stands we are winding down the summer and I'm not taking away your final four weeks but I am saying that we're winding down this promotion as far as the kids are going back to school so this is the last big kicker so we would love to see you come out and have a beer or a Seltzer or make a donation to Tommy's Place Rockland is even paying for the cost of the beer so that all of the money that is donated that day 100 I know the places to go to the bathroom plenty of places all right yep and it's there there are no old houses there it's the the regular Brewery Side location okay you guys got to come out um Mari gave me her recipe for her scallops yes so we're gonna try that if there are any left I have some left oh really if you've been eating them already absolutely every everything every single moment I have I'll take out four or five of them and just cook them up and it's like my snack I feel like it's a protein pack and it's delicious see so you are doing something see I'm working on it I'm just not moving mountains over here you're eating scallops you're just frying them up little baby things you're eating healthy sort of I'm working on that late night Chinese last night didn't help and which we'll talk about where you guys offline offline it's my my mother and my brother's favorite thing and they only like new like Massachusetts specifically Chinese food because it's different everywhere else okay so what's the difference between I feel like it's the duck sauce everywhere else has those little marmalade sugar packet things okay for me it's the Duck Sauce that makes it so I don't know if that's the difference but yes we have different Chinese food here okay you'll have to tell me where you got it from it's always the same place yep oh okay all right that's one of our places the main one it's Cliff's Family Restaurant for years and years golden sales we always go there it's one of those Falmouth things okay sometimes I'll go over there yeah sometimes I'll go over there Asia they have a tuition payment from me so they're fine between my kids I'm like I can't I keep the town of Mashpee very very well fed right we have my children's Sushi problems right but now we've got dinos too so right there's Sushi yeah yeah and their Sushi is really really good if you've not had a chance to go over there and try their Sushi delicious give it a whirl and I know it's it's one of those weird things where you're thinking you know pizza burger Sushi JD Burgers has also delicious sushi I like the offering so the person that wants the burger can have the burger and then I can have the good sushi so that makes me happy you're being healthy again you're having sushi I'm working on it everybody we're doing it see so you're not setting the tone of the day you're not doing as bad as you thought exactly you're actually doing more well we're coming into fall season I feel like I get lazier I think everybody kind of slows down and then we start tail gating and then there's football appetizers that enter the equation yep and then I really start just you know upping the chips and upping the beer content so I feel like if we do a small little kickstart I'm supposed to be starting a weight loss thing with my friend Susan I don't know if we're gonna be able to get this done but okay she's like contacted the papers she's that was the last time I did something with her was right after I had Cody and she made me get on a scale and she actually got the Cape Cod time sitting there taking videos of me on a scale and she's like want to do it again and I I did say yes so we'll see we'll see if I can handle this scrutiny at this age you just say yes with your fingers crossed well you know it's it's been quite some time it's been 15 years since that a lot of things have changed right a lot of things right we shall see yes we've gotten a little older that's it a little wiser I like that yes with wisdom comes heaviness apparently heavy with wisdom everyone swaying me down oh I like that smart thoughts here I like that that will explain this although this is this is the Irish guy the wisdom but this this is the Irish guy gut my father had it I have it I hadn't seen my nephew in in I don't know about about a year and we saw them uh last last month they were down and I walked in the room and there he was and he had it it's just one of those family traits we get it right and my dad was in a big Beer Drinker I'm not a big Beer Drinker my nephew is not a big Beer Drinker it's just one of those this is your body down here yep that's where it holds right the sticking point what are you gonna do well I've got so many things to do today I've got Habitat for Humanity I'm gonna go see one of their final builds that they're about to um open and welcome families in and Chatham so I'm gonna see that I'm gonna go see my favorite ladies over at their wood place and we've got Bingo to do and it doesn't look like the weather is going to keep up for Shipwrecked this afternoon it's been a tough outdoor summer for us on our days chosen yeah Shipwrecked but we'll be back in the fall with our Tuesday nights trivia which I'm really looking forward to I've missed all of my trivia fans and friends we had a great night last night at Dino's packed house really nice people are really starting to jump on the trivia bandwagon saw a lot of fun faces that I haven't seen in a while and people that were sneaking out on vacation I like when you do the vacation in your own town I had one of those weeks thank you very much for that you're welcome and we'll do it again next week yeah yes oh God I haven't even I haven't even wrapped my brain around leaving this house for a full full five days I'm a little bit nervous of that really you've seen how things are here yeah and it's a petting zoo it will still be people here though right there'll be tons of people here I mean you're not taking you're not taking Mom with you to go flesh around in the martini glass I no that that would be weird thank you I just wanted to clarify that I'm just saying it's like when if you went to school and there were no no teachers okay like you just let the kids go uh what will happen there I am not quite sure so all right if you folks don't know what I'm talking about still going to the Poconos we are still going to the Poconos but Cliff who's trying to get his contract renewed um has showed Stephanie a room at a hotel it's actually a champagne glass right that has a big champagne martini glass kind of thing clear with a ladder that you can get up and get in so that just seems all kinds of wrong in so many ways so well that's why I was asking if Mom was coming because that is really kind of that'd be that'd be weird I mean mom give me a boost that'd be creepy I mean I asked for pictures that's creepy enough but to bring Mom that's even worse so get us a good deal though she gets the deals well she's a senior citizen yeah so she'll get the seniors yeah exactly she always asks for her discount I love it which you know what in a lot of places doesn't mean diddly do no it really doesn't it's five bucks off it's ten bucks off every dollar counts you know they make it true but they make such a big deal out of it a senior citizen rate and yeah well I don't even want to admit I'm a senior citizen and for five bucks I'm not going to admit I'm a senior citizen well I I got busted yesterday posted yesterday yeah for pretending you were a senior citizen no we went on to lunch with Mom Mom was so gracious to pay the tab but then I had to wait for her to leave so that I could put more money in for a tip oh mom did not tip appropriately ever but she doesn't tip at all no she does oh I find it insulting oh okay so I'll usually hide money under the plates or hide money somewhere on the table like I live here I know these people oh my God to the point now where my kids now ask she needs some cash oh no she just won't do it I don't know what it is it's also a European thing our friend was just visiting from England so and they don't tip they don't actually they find it insulting if you do tip right so just remember that if you're going to Europe Gabby Abby both of you going to Greece I'm so jealous our friends are leaving there this week and they were packing very very jealous well when I used to go to Rome for work I would always struggle with you know I'd go to pay the pay the tab and heck I had the company credit card I could have done whatever I wanted right but you can't no they get offended oh yeah oh yeah and then and then Marion May came over with me once and we would always go out to dinner and was Murray working on the restaurant business all these years trying to get her to say honey you don't have to jump yeah we were in Scotland one time and my husband kept leaving a tip and they kept bringing us more drinks and I'm like why do they keep bringing us more drinks it took us like solidly three more drinks before we realized they weren't taking the tip and they were just going to continually bring us drinks if we kept paying for them because there's no shut them off in Scotland no no there's no shut them off in Italy either here you go here you go take whatever you want here we go right right and and Meg I think was and I mean the bottom of the line it just goes on the table yeah and they don't but they grew up with it that's the thing and and and they know how to they know how to handle it facts you know she was like really okay I'd love to I have a picture of my son drinking a beer in the UK and I think it's absolutely the funniest thing and yeah he's 14. if you can see Over the Bar they give it to you or rare it doesn't even matter she's like I'm sure it takes one sip this is disgusting right exactly it's horrible it's without poking people's eyes out because there's too many people it's too it's too people-y oh we have a flood watch until noon time by the way great wonderful seems like our Tuesdays have been just an absolute disaster yeah I have not had a chance to see my favorite ladies over at thirlwood for the last three weeks last week was that flash flood weird tornado situation right the week before that one of the elevators went down there's always seemingly some something cataclysmic yeah on Tuesdays is it you and I I don't know we get together we'll cause tornadoes Hank There you go eight that's cool Mariana was at um was a camp over Camp Linden which is like almost Marston's Mills and um it wasn't too bad over here last week and all of a sudden we get this text from her are you guys okay yeah really what's what's you know what's up old storms are bad and everything else there was apparently at the camp they put all the kids in the one in the one big room there was apparently one boy who freaked out oh and ran outside oh and the councilors had to go chase him in the pouring rain and the Thunder and whatever somebody's got to get him you can't let him out there and and bring them back in oh you know but yeah you're gonna be you're gonna be okay A little little cloudy slow yeah in the 70s on Thursday but it's amazing to go over one town and see the Ridiculousness that I always laughed about wherever we were oh yeah and I used to get razzed by one of our friends it's the same thing it's not no downtown Falmouth gets flooded like up to your neck flooded yes on Main Street There Are Places all over the and you know where the flood zone is it becomes like a kayaking fast paddle in Hyannis down Strawberry Hill Road yes like you know where the spots are because they flood every single time yep Lake Viva we had out front and my poor neighbor he's newly retired to the area the one with the voice one with the voice and to hear the voice yesterday where I was telling my husband I was like is he yelling at you like it's your fault and he goes no he was just talking loudly because he's really angry and I'm like uh just sounded like he was yelling at you and The Voice already I had to lock myself in the car I'd smile when I get in the car and put on headphones I can't do you ever come has the voice that just goes right through your skull it's not his fault but his yard gets flooded every single time they change the way the berm was when they repaved our roads well he's trying to shoot he's like she's a pond every single time it rains like that it floods and it's so bad that it floods now Port our other neighbors back basement got all wonky last week I know a lot of people that had to reach for the pumps and get the water out of their basements after that last flood one of our friends just finished 50 000 renovation to their basement and it get flooded oops probably can't have nice things here that's right and of course the the absurdity where we are at The Villages um it's raining and the sprinklers come on but I mean that's that's automatically that's on you know that's not a timer and and what are you gonna do but it just it just looks nuts yeah right you know can they not shut them off when it comes to stuff like that it's just that I think it's just on a timer the way it is and it goes up I mean the deluge and the Miracle is going around watering the flowers like oh come on come on that's awesome actually I think we've had too much rain and I don't think it's making any difference yeah no I'm gonna work on those good morning conversation about oh man I gotta look him up on YouTube and see if he's funny or whatever yeah well I have not had a chance one time to get to the melody tent this summer I'm a little bit sad about it because normally I'll get there three or four times this summer zero times I've given away all of my tickets uh I I just gave away yeah Bob Marley we gave away train tickets we gave away um Joey tickets we gave away so many tickets but I not kept any for myself this season which has been a damn shame they've had a lot of tribute bands there yep and I don't get the tribute band thing why you just got into it yeah I mean I I I I imagine I would sit there saying oh yeah okay these guys are playing Led Zeppelin but they're not Led Zeppelin but people are like oh my God and it's wonderful and I'm like huh the one that I do love is the Abba Tribute Band because Ava never really toured so and that's the closest you're gonna get to and there's a thousand of those but there's a thousand songs so it's really exciting it's like fun it's dancing we usually get the seats that are in the back because the people in front of you get pissy when you dance right you get yelled at I can be one of those people you're one of those people yes I can be at times at times I can be what's the matter you can't get up and dance too it's supposed to inspire you to want to get up and dance and you don't know me that well do you no I can't dance yeah but you could how much actual dancing are you doing when you're standing in a one by one spot like really yeah that's it you can stand up and do that right the worst experience I had with the tent this is years ago one of those hula dashboard girls we went to see Blues Traveler yeah the worst concert I've ever been to yeah Blues traveled they were awful it was it was right after I forget the lead singer's name it was right after he lost all the weight and he just didn't he just didn't have it but there was a guy sitting next to me all he did was stand up dance and drink water he was out of his effing mind finally and I'm I put up with it for like half the set and then the couple we were with Mark said come on um let's switch and and Mark is much more impatient than I am the guy continues to dance and Mark just starts going Bang thing oh and then the guy finally sat down either that or passed out or or or whatever that's bad Showmanship but it was just oh we left the only time I think we have ever left a concert we left to lose Travelers really horrible Aaron said side to side sway but no snapping no snapping like this no snapping during the show John said get the let out was good 13 shows are left at the melody tent tribute bands exist because all the originals are dead well that's true but here's the thing the thing react like they're seeing the real band and that's what I don't get well I mean if they're all dead this is the closest you're gonna get to the band it's like the dead and Company right well there's a couple dead people that sounds absurd oh gee there's a couple of dead people in the dead yes yes correct this is the anniversary of Woodstock today did you know that no I didn't today and tomorrow anniversary of Woodstock I knew people who went I didn't go that was one of one of um our trivia we have a visual trivia round and it was my husband posted all the photos from Woodstock and who is this band but the sad part was they all look the same it's the 70s they all look the same it was you it was me it was me stop the lean and then all right get lean back but I did have a good laugh at it yet last night because they did it was like it just all looked like 70s blobs right this is the photography wasn't all that great and everybody kind of had the same style they all had droopy mustaches yeah long hair so yeah 13 shows left in the melody tent I'm gonna try and catch one before the end of the summer we'll have to see what my schedule happens I'm not a country guy either much so yeah it just I don't know I just didn't go to I just didn't go yeah I like comedians though I wanted to see Kathleen Madigan yes I would love to have seen her and I I do like Bob Marley even though the point where I know just enough to be dangerous so um you know if if you listen to um you know the the real Jazz disc jockeys you know they know all this stuff about we're not talking any more discs you know I mean Eric Eric Jackson from my college classmate incredible up on up on gbh for years but they had such knowledge of who played on on what side and oh my goodness this one had a wonky instrument or this one would only yeah it was just yeah it's amazing what yeah the musicianship I don't know stuff like that but I've got some good stories so um yeah please do me in uh Saturday
