saraphina and I were in a entrepreneurial book club where Stephanie never read the right book and Stephanie was terrible at this book I I really stopped at book CL I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual just had a visual proud of it here we are hey boys and girls how are you Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday is real good news day oh okay I don't know where I got well actually it's a never mind I want to know is it a bit it's an old radio bit yes it's an old um um Charles Ladera thing Tuesday is real good news day I don't I don't know where he got it from but I heard that yeah that's from I don't know if it's real good news day but I'll take it okay sure why not how you doing I'm struggling this morning really I had a little bit of a late night uhhuh because you were very quiet when I came down this morning yeah yeah I mean you like hey how are you and you're like and you were like hi I'm like okay I don't think I did anything wrong you did nothing wrong did Cliff do anything wrong no no one did anything I was just really exhausted I had a morning where I was like GH hit the alarm hit the alarm and I and I'm sure you're getting a lot of that as our children are going back to school for like real this time yep I feel like before Labor Day it was kind of like play school and now it's like oh this is real this is my existence it's re it's really time to get serious I was thinking about this the other day even in um even in work through the summer months even if you were there you could always kind of tone it down tone a little down a little because if you were working on something well you needed somebody else to do it and they're on vacation right so I can't do it this week oh they're gone for two weeks I can't do it for two weeks and then they come back and you're gone and they can't do it because and and you get through the summer like half assing your way through work kind of right and I'm not complaining by any means I think we all need a break we're like oh what a force break okay I land not that you have asked your way through the summer because you were like all over the place right it's just a different pace it is it is it's like okay it's real now because we're all on we're all on the academic calendar it's based on what we learned going to school and now if we have kids the kids are going to school and and that's how everything goes and uh H and I had a date last night because we had our Monday off ah so we were like all right K Playhouse had the 39 steps oh that's right which was like an old Hitchcock um murder mystery type of uh show yeah quite good yeah uh really enjoyed it I love that K Playhouse it's beautiful yeah is it's just in a nice area it's cute seats are a little bit uncomfortable but it's like long enough for you to persevere and then there's a break with wine so I'm fine with that there you go and then you come back and it doesn't make any difference ex exactly well that's how people stand Fenway Park right you have a beer or two and then the seats don't make any difference right we're fine now my rear end can handle it what's up Emily um so we were supposed to have a couple of the actors on today uh to uh chat Bop in with us uh but get this what they they get paid they get paid to do press what first time I've ever in my entire life radio TV whatever I've never and I don't know whether it's a New York actors's have they won like Academy Awards or something none none of them wow so I was like oh okay like never mind it's fine we we still got tickets we've still the K Playhouse is wonderful I just had never come across uh we get paid to do to do press for my anybody I was like are we doing blockbuster movies here like I could get it if we were like trying to talk to Jenna Ortega because Beetlejuice is coming out in five days like I would get that level of we need press money for her granted she's busy I get that right it was just something I've never come across my entire life you you wouldn't have thought it for the cape no but right so I mean maybe this is what is happening in our culture we're setting boundaries you saw Chapel Rowan over the weekend where everybody's commending her jeel is commending her good job you're setting boundaries with your fans I'm not accessible all the time I think it is important to remind people that yeah we're also humans and if we don't want to take a photo with you right now because we're in our human life leave us alone exactly like that is really nice I'm glad that people are saying something so maybe they're setting their boundaries maybe this is a thing my daughter yelled out boundaries 1400 times when I was taking video when she was going to college I'm like oh look at you but oh boundaries boundaries that's the new word boundaries I guess it is it's something that I've got to learn also I think we all could take a little bit of a lesson with what boundaries are good morning Cindy thanks for joining us Hank Stephanie it's Tuesday we are uh just really shuffling into the week I'm like trying to get it going this morning but yeah we had a great time we were out a little bit later got home snacked then I didn't go to bed on time you know what I mean it was just like I'm off so I'll be off all day long we'll figure it out at least i' got the rest of the day to catch up you warn folks anyone who has an interaction with step schedule for today she's off I'm off so accept it right you got yourself into a little college football over the weekend yeah and I saw a lot of excitement really happy last night Boston College beat Florida state that never happens never very rarely very rarely Happ Florida State was ranked and they and they already had one loss and um now Boston College fairly well pushed them around last night down in down in Florida I think a lot of it has to do with the new coach I mean Billy O'Brien is a real football coach that's exciting so he's not like you know some offensive coordinator who's worked his way up and now he's not that there's anything wrong with that but this they didn't lose one player usually when um a head coach leaves players from the team will leave personally recruited by that they didn't lose one player that's because they heard Oh Billy O'Brien okay that's respect now oh yeah yeah now we're gonna get real and uh no they were they were they were great and BC's got a bit of a tough schedule but if they you know they were always known as offensive line you and um they have a great offensive line Patriots could use them actually and um they just they just pushed Florida State all over the place so it was it was fun to watch it's so chilly outside Emily and I'm loving that it is feeling super fallik out there and with fall comes football we're just going to get it and you know what Florida builds a big program all of the time so that was a big exciting a big win that was a big win talk about being cool I'm wearing pants today ah look at him it's he's you know I think the shorts are over he's accepting it yep it's happening yep oh yeah I'm again it's it's this whole idea of getting serious about work now yeah okay no more t-shirts and shorts and you know it time to go in the office again consistently and oh God I hate it I know did everybody have a great Labor Day weekend how about that farmers market on Sunday it was amazing right in freaking incredible it was so many people do you have any idea besides a whole lot how many people I would W well taking a look at the tale of the ticker is probably about 400 people wow yeah I know unbelievable just as big I think it was bigger than when we opened Memorial Day weekend so that was really exciting to see and we're seeing people come back week after week after week yes because people are coming back to get the gold coins from from Mariana they're getting their gold coins pop program by the way we've only got about three weeks of that left we have a big pop party coming up September 22nd okay so put that on your calendar moms and dads if you want a car seat check car seat mom is going to be there okay so she'll have some um new car seats also so if yours is not acceptable we'll be able to replace that for you and get you all on your way that I know a lot of parents struggle with uh when your kid grows out of something and it's just not like easily replaceable right I know every couple of hundred bucks really matters when you're in a space like that so we've got that we'll have our final pop program we'll have a big uh a big party and uh Lauren shout out to Lauren from all places just so amazing the line to see see her for face painting it was and she just she's so good she's so sweet she just works her way through every y every little kid and and does what they you know does what they ask for even if it's not on her list of this is what I do um she does the best you can she did one little boy and and I think I put it in the um and meanwhile she had done it the day before all day for hyen yach Club so she showed no signs of exhaustion where's I appreciate that where's this little guy oh him look at this guy oh wow that's good I don't if you can see this folks freaky but cool can I do this sure is that is that is that seeable I I don't know if you can see that it just looks like a little ghoul a little ghoul well that yeah he was she she did un unbelievable unbelievable I love it and I was chatting up folks about lemono and um talking to the vendors a couple times through right before I left and um they're all like I don't have anything left I love that you know one of the one of the farmers said all I've got left is charred okay we that's good then I'm sure that's I don't know who buys chart but I ended up with a ton of vegetables Deb was like here you go have this have this I'm like Deb all I bought you a coffee because I knew you needed one you don't have to give me all of your vegetables but I also appreciate that but I also am not feeding a million people anymore we lost half my household this weekend and I never met the Jay ones all summer long I'm here two mornings a week never saw them is that weird never heard them there was some sometimes there would be evidence if I stopped upstairs to to you know to go to the bathroom before I came down the floor would be wet so someone took a shower but I I didn't see them I didn't hear them no and they're back to Jamaica I was I laughing my tail off on uh Sunday when I dropped them off before the market uh because they had just so many belongings I saw that picture like so many things there was more that was half oh I was like how are you getting all of this but good luck to you bye it's not my and they didn't do a tour of the country they went right back home they did they spent um they spent two nights in New York uhuh so I dropped them off they had a couple of nights in New York and today is their uh flight back home oh okay yeah and then it's right back into school apparently Cordy started school last week yep and was doing it from from here but she's like no I have like labs and actual class I have to get to this week wow sorry wow like no rest for the wicked just into it yep what's up Mari I heard you guys have a big anniversary coming up I'm excited for you guys I hope you uh get away and enjoy yourself yeah we will we won't be we're going away um Monday and Tuesday to to you know because you have to do something we're going we're going to Florida for for a nice trip in in October perfect but we decided we we got me 35 years you just can't say all right well um dinner is not going to cut it yeah no dinner's not going to cut it so and I am getting new golf clubs it's uh pretty amazing I know how was your fitting oh it was great it was it was it was did you feel special I felt special did you feel pampered I did because Jen Jennifer okono who's one of the owners of Holly roods came out and she and she you know took me through my paces and everything and it was it was it was really cool so you know I mean my my clubs over the years have been hand-me-downs or I bought them on Amazon or I have a a set of irons one is missing but they were on sale at at exporting Goods so well now all that can go away and you can have your nice new clubs I can have my nice new clubs H personalized clubs yes that's exciting I saw somebody that knew you last night help my game you did I did Brian Walsh mortgage guy yes so he says hello oh hi Brian I like walked by him and he's like hey I know you you you do Morning Show with Hank right I like yes yes I do yep we know Brian y talking about how uh you guys were from my hometown mhm and uh yeah 35 years Mari said and they wouldn't and it wouldn't last nope and it has right I was Marry I was marrying honest to God folks I was marrying Mari for her money because her dad owned a restaurant a very successful restaurant but I was honest to God people said that that I was marrying her for her money her dad owned a restaurant he he drove a Lincoln probably you know I mean he Mario was a bit of a flashy kind of guy and and and it was for the money huh Mari it was for the money yeah how'd that work out honey well I guess it's still for the money because you get in the clubs now too H yeah see yeah you know what she is the one with the money now that you mention it she's the one with the money Hank you been hanging on all these years I did marry you for your money this is amazing so amazing yes so we had the farmers market it was this huge Farmers Market I do want to just make you of a couple of dates that we've got coming up because we do have football so what we're working on is the licensing right now to play the game on a blowup screen with a projector so that we'll have the game going on so you can have your beer and have the game and let the women shop and hang out and or women if you want to watch the game whoever wants to watch the game will have it available the kids will be able to run around you guys think of everything the dogs will be able to run around and we'll still have entertainment that will not interrupt it so we'll just be on different sides of thei wow right wow well I mean we gota we gotta have everything it's Sunday and if we're gonna keep you there we we've got you covered I don't know about seating but you can sit in the grass if it's a nice day that'd be great I think after a couple of games people aren't G to care no exactly but much as much about the Patriots because I don't think they're GNA be that good well the first two games are one o'clock games so we're trying to accommodate the one o'clock games because it falls right in our little window of when we operate so why not have that ability to do so I think Pete already pays for football stuff at his um Brewery so we we're looking into licensing to make sure we're on the up and up everybody people told me me I was marrying Jared for a green card and how long have you guys been together Cindy five years 10 years I feel like a lot longer than that and they genuinely like each other's company yeah no green card necessary all right poor Jared had to deal with a lot wow but he got you as well wife so that's a lot already was was there was there a question about needing a green card um well she is from another country so okay all right right was it because of the Green Card Cindy Donald Trump isn't gonna come for you years no 14 years they've been together okay I think she's past the limit okay I don't think it's a question anymore that's good they're getting ready for a poor guy she said uh they're getting ready for a a Cancun vacation who never been right no I haven't either no one of those places that it' be nice to go go there someday yeah right right yeah yeah I'm work we're working on the lemon Ado cruise I think our our destination has been set I worked with our travel agent on Friday and and that's 2020 that's 2026 2026 so I'll have plenty of time for this I hope so but I had to make a commitment by Friday to lock in the price so we did and it's actually pretty affordable for what it is and it seems pretty uh pretty fantastic okay I'm I'm looking for it and Cindy the top optional party Resort you do you have fun with all that a see I'm too W for that stuff sorry I'm up I'm up way too early Mar you ready for the top optional party Resorts no not for me no cuz it's always the people you don't want to be top optional that are top optional yeah this is what I noticed when we were traveling in Europe like oh that's always the way why we've discussed it they think they have something to show when they really no thank you no too much for me so we're here it's fall it's feeling fall likee outside I posted today of our H Choice Maple brown sugar or pumpkin spice I can now talk about it always go with everything other than pumpkin spice pumin spice well we're to deep breath and it'll be okay I know I think that uh too many pitchforks right and speaking of pitchforks we've got election day today I don't think that there's anything crazy going on I see a lot of Shifting I see that uh suan shifting out of her spot to go somewhere else right Dylan Fernandez is Shifting out of his spot to go into her spot uh or hopes to in hopes to um such a fascinating guy really great conversationalist really smart young and it's young and smart and like cognizant of what's going on and and very bipartisan so I really enjoy his conversation and every time I'm like he's really smart what does he want to do this for I know I also I think we just need younger people in politics so it's really nice to see a 30-some care and be involved as deeply as he has been for years already yeah and uh wants to continue this so I'm like thank you thank you for staying Sarah Peak retiring um and she's been in for a long time two decades something like that yeah I remember when she got elected yeah so a lot of people there's a lot of shift yeah and some new faces so maybe worth a pay attention to um as we're coming into election season I know it's it can be a time where people freak out it can be a time where people are just really not themselves in a time where people say dumb things um really think open up some space for people to say dumb things but also maybe some new ideas might be good we need some fresh things and folks do yourself a favor every time you see a story about a pole particularly nationally just ignore it it means nothing I saw a story I think I was reading it this morning bad news for Harris As Trump takes lead in pole he was up by one point and the margin of error was four which means she could have been ahead by three I don't know what the hell's gonna happen I mean it's just it's just please folks just ignore it nobody knows okay all these polls mean virtually nothing it's honestly why I stopped watching the news my father-in-law was a little bit appalled when he was like do you mind if I put the news on and I'm like yeah can he not yeah just a little bit because I was like it's not that I'm ignorant it's not that I want to stay ignorant it's just kind of like I'm not ready for that in my space right now right but here it is a primary election day and we still have to do our civic duty and get out there and vote for the people that we need to uh Nate says also first day of school I'm ready to go and he said folks how about Boston College I know I know I know we got we got excited we jumped right into that Nate we Nate and I talked a little bit about it last night but um yeah it was it was it was yeah it was good to see you know because we should have kind of I want to say a real a real football team but you know New England isn't known for being a hotb of big-time college football no and no but Boston College at times has been big time college football and and it would be nice to um nice to see that happen again yeah most definitely um all right what are we looking forward to this week is there anything going on that were like pressing news that I saw I didn't think I saw anything that we were like oh we got to talk about this because no no it's it's really quiet this morning just kind of do doing show prep it was like okay what do we got h i I did see that the mayor of a small town in Georgia has been indicted on charges that he illegally left a bottle of Jin in a ditch for a state prison crew worker what would possess one to do that these guys had a tough day we're just GNA leave a bottle of booze here way I feel like that a very Georgia thing to do what is wrong with people these guys had a hard day to work we'll just leave this here my goodness I I I think it's funny do I feel like that deserves some sort of indictment no no he's just stupid right totally I had uh my girlfriend over um Karen came yesterday from the vineyard and uh she assisted me with getting upstairs together because if you had seen my house on Sunday you would have been like Stephanie good God Lauren called to check on me yesterday also she's are you okay like I am not is Cliff officially upstairs officially upstairs okay officially upstairs with his office it's starting to actually look like an office he's all excited about it he was telling me he can have a conference table up there and we could all sit around and talk about stuff just he was all I'm trying to move out you trying to move out of the house he's trying to yes yes I know you are and he's he's making desks and new desks and I got another another desk that came into the house I'm like why are there so many desks he's gonna turn he's gonna turn this into the office and then you guys are G to move somewhere else God help me but yeah it looks really good upstairs Emily you're you've actually got a workspace and plenty of space for the baby when you come to work today oh good oh good however never getting out of here now Hank um I everything was upturned yeah and we just had you I don't know if anybody else has been dealing or had to deal with their people moving out of their hus but we lost three in one day so it was just a total upturn like my kitchen like everything was a absolute disaster what the farmers market garbage looks like when you first walk into my home was my entire home oh okay and Karen sat here for about eight hours really unpacking boxes wow moving things around yep and everybody needs a Karen in their life so thank you very much for taking the time yesterday well okay Karen in a good way yes not a Karen Karen just a nice Karen no she's a nice Karen I also had a good uh time connecting with a couple of other mom friends yesterday and they're kids and uh Cody watched them and did his lifeguard thing yesterday at the beach exellent and I got in no fight with the the guy that works at the beach how did how did you do that I was very irritated with him I have no idea who this man is I found him very creepy he was in a apparently he was hired by the Association oh I haven't seen him all summer long so I I was like do you really work here do we actually really pay for you we don't pay for a lifeguard but we pay for a creepy guy in a cowboy hat to sit underneath a tent and watch people okay um so okay because there are no dogs allowed at that beach so he was there policing the dogs yes so we were all told to take the dogs away whatever yesterday for the first time yesterday for the first time and have dogs been a problem over there we're not allowed to have them over there okay so so it's not a problem really no it's not a problem only we had the dogs oh I see you had your dog I had my dog I mean yay I mean she's a loaf of bread it's it's a whatever but he like stood there and was like I'm I'm gonna stand here and wait for you to leave oh he was messing with the wrong person and I was like you don't need to stand here I've lived here over 20 years you know I'm I have no idea who you are creepy man you stood there like this so then I went and got Cliff uh oh uh oh I just hate people that think that they're authoritarians over a private beach Association no one gives a crap about you buddy stop staring at little kids is what I yelled at oh my goodness I was the carot yesterday me are you sure he was legit I don't know I didn't walk over to to I saw him talking to Todd who's like the president of whatever it is that we've got for an association so I assume he's legit maybe he's just doing Todd's dirty work I'm still mad at Todd for dumping a boat on my husband that never got a title of some sort everyone around here is all sketchy so don't be starting up with me with a creepy Cowboy at my beach watching my children right I don't like it on Labor Day I'm on Labor Day this is not the day that you decide to mess with the oh my goodness I was a Karen yesterday I'm sorry well guess once in a while it seeps out I guess I think yesterday was justified it's a labor day Monday get lost like go home right nobody cares that the dog is there on Labor Day Monday were there were there a lot of people over there no there weren't if there were kids or whatever there was like they weren't there yet like 20 minutes later a bunch of people came and that was fine like we would have put the dogs away at any point anyway because we were we just wanted them to stretch their legs a little bit move their body right you can't have them here we know I read the memos yeah I get it I live here right where do you live exactly not in our neighborhood I under Ro doesn't live in our neighborhood either pay somebody to lifeguard will you save a life or something right we did use the boat pardon you did we we took the boat off Theo yacht we did it's a good new everybody we took the canoe off the rack yay cliff and I was like he was all grumbly he's like I don't want my bathing suit on we're going to go right in the water we're not it's we're not can you go in the water over there now is it is it cool now okay yeah you can so we did we went all the way around and I was like Hey kids want to use the the thing so all I did was take it out of its dock come around the beach and then give it to the kids maiden voyage of the canoe it seems to me at the start of the summer you were talking about how you guys were going to various very all lots of times during the summer we're going to take the canoe out and we're just going to gather of the pond and we're just going to sit there and hang out that was our last canoe and and maybe oh that was the last canoe you did out with yeah you know we did have a have a glass of wine and some cheese and just sort of you know that's when the kids were little and they they couldn't find us little like they were old enough to watch themselves we just wanted to disappear but still be at home so we would row out into the middle of the pond so they couldn't find us parents of the Year nominees every mom or dad has locked themselves in a closet or somewhere just to get away from their children you know exactly what it is just a minute just for a little while just so you could be away when I would lock myself in the bathroom you just see like little fingers underneath the bathroom door Mom but Mom make them go away like Stewie on Family Guy mother mommy mama yeah Ma Ma mmy y mommy ma oh rtb oh my God stop staring at me sent you you should have seen it I was it was not my proudest moment but it sounds like it was worth the price of admission though well absolutely I had a couple of wines on board and you know what he he did I did not like him no and he definitely didn't like me I gave him a summer story all right oh my goodness seriously and then I saw um a couple of the other people taking their boats out of the water yeah and just like bashing them into their their trailer of their boat and I just looked at one of the guys and I was like some are people some are not some are not right just walked away yeah it's all over they're gone people were saying there wasn't a lot of traffic coming off tape yesterday yesterday it was wonderful it was so nice I could take left turns I could take I took like five left turns yesterday that's just because I could I was so excited and I guess the explanation is so many school districts have go back early now that they just weren't that they just wen't people or they would have left or they left on Sunday it wasn't a firestorm it was a trickle off people just started leaving Sunday was like a junky day so people just were like starting to hit the road so it slowly trickled up everyone it can be done I know rtb when did you leave Saturday night late night I think you left to escape the madness but there really wasn't that big Madness no my girlfriend came over from Plymouth yesterday and she kept watching the bridge because she had to bring both of her kids it was like soccer and hockey who does that soccer and hockey yeah we had football practice at 8:30 in the morning yesterday really the coaches why why are you doing this to parents why are they doing it to themselves waa oh no no no they're doing it to themselves because they're coaches guess you're not Bill O'Brien you're not Bill bellich calm it down I know these kids are little so yeah she kept watching the bridge and she's like no no still good no looks all right all day yeah somebody said there was a little bit of a backup but by three o'clock it was fine and then some of them was like no backup when do we wave goodbye there's no one to wave goodbye to stop complaining stop complaining on social media also thank you well even on even on Friday I took um Mariana and her friend who's a boy um Matthew we went over to M love that she makes you preface that yeah well I I can't say boyfriend because she's too young but I'll tell her friend who's a boy and we went over to masie commin we went to Color Me Mine we went to gy and we got ice cream but he lives in Yarmouth and and so I his dad drove him up and I said I'll drive him home and I kept saying to Mariana how's the traffic which way should I go which way should I go and she was like well both 208 in the highway they they're really clear and I'm going are you sure right yeah really whatever you want to do so we took the highway and went I'm like you're kidding I know well everyone was saying that um it was a smaller season than normal and you people didn't have as much money to come to the cape I feel like they came they saw they left and people are just doing it a little bit differently and the way the the timeline shook out this year they were gone earlier right right and people are doing see like so many things we got quote unquote spoiled if you will you know during the pandemic and the you know the immediate time thereafter where people you know really didn't want to go anywhere yeah and it was easy to come to the cape well they can go other places now yeah you know and and coming to the cape hey that's that's fun and they might do it for a weekend but they've probably most people I going say most people a lot of people have been there done that they've been here they've been here on vacation they've they've been to the beach they've been to hyanis they've been to the Kennedy Museum and nothing changes down here no it's not like there's a new something you can come go and see where as in some other places you know you go to Orlando there's always a new something at one of the parks but down here it's the same it's the same stuff our friends are um um Jen who I had on the air with me yesterday she's uh headed to the theme park again on Wednesday and I saw another 30-year-old mom that is was chastised for going and hitting the Disney parks by herself no kids well good for her I was like why is she being chastised go girl that's where you want to go it's not where I would want to go no and evitably whenever cliff and I have a date somewhere without our children we get sat next to piles of children it's just what happens yeah we went to Disney onland California we were around in California in um um Anaheim for a um a conference and we went to Disney on our own and it was it it was it's fun it's a different it's a different kind of different kind of perspective when you when when you go on your own but I didn't feel guilty that it was just me and Mari yeah no well like Epcot we can have a cocktail in every country it's kind of fun go the last time we did that though there was tornadoes that touchdown in the middle so we were sitting there sipping saki in Japan watching the tornado around the middle of uh Epcot and I got my picture T Winnie the Poo was one of my um literary Heroes if you will a and and I got my picture taken with Winnie the Pooh and if we were there with Mariana I would have taken her picture with Winnie the Pooh and I wouldn't have had my picture taken with Winnie the Pooh got to have that for posterity you know the Poo Bear over here I love winie the Poo the cow of poo we got some crazy crime oh we do I don't even know completely naked Clemson stud student dalen Dickens arrested after attacking roommate on a bus what yep so back to school everybody we're we're going back to school right college kids how much money naked how much money is Clemson a year a lot I want to say probably around $80,000 a year conservatively oh yeah deputies said a completely naked Clemson University student attacked his roommate on a bus later pulled a knife on deputies when they came to his apartment this 21 year old man so what maybe a senior boarded a bus on campus completely naked he then punched his roommate in the face and neck remained on the bus the bus driver told him multiple times to get off the bus and I don't like that this guy's last name is Dicks I like I just can't you're like dicks eventually ran backward into his apartment where two deputies soon arrived to speak with him picture I'm sorry one Deputy took out a taser and aimed it at Dicks Dix went back into his room and got a knife and pointed it at the deputies stop it he it just stop it just reading the story it continues on it was unclear whether Dix was on drugs during the incident oh it was unclear really what was unclear about that I don't think people in the regular mind do that I don't think so I don't know what the situation was I don't know what Dick's situation was so now see the kids are back in school now so we can talk like this yep exactly Ryan says not a lot of change around the cape and that's why we like it exactly that's right exactly we could be dealing with college students so I'll I'll I'll pass on that running around with their never mind right we do not have that situation going on over at fores we're going to be broadcasting live from the college every other Thursday coming up as soon as the classes get scheduled oh my today is first day at for so good luck they are so full with enrollment so many new students young and old which is really exciting to see a lot of older adults switching their field adding to their learning and actually um maybe finishing off a degree that they started and never finished so that's really exciting to see so many new people new faces we could be dealing with dicks yeah we're and we're not Sy we're not so apparently do we know of anyway his mom is so proud I see I think you get a lot of those Antics when it's football season there's a lot of crazy that happens in stadiums and you get big groups of people together cious amounts of alcohol and just like a lot of I'm away my daughter said the minute that everyone was kind of moved in there was another move in day yeah um she said that they everyone in her whole dorm just like kind of lost their mind it was like the the kid equivalent of Zoomies right when parents aren't here now and where around and she said uh she had a tea party with her roommate so she goes mom we're the same speed it's great it's like good everyone else can run around naked if they want but I can well it's a co-ed dorm so it's something I'm not used to of the same floor of mixed everybody uhuh on on the same floors so um showers are interesting but yeah well um there there are boys bathrooms and girls bathrooms and then there's like the neutral area for you to just use whenever you want to use it which I think is also good but yeah it's going to be interesting it's a new world when dorms first went co-ed there was no they they didn't have that designation oh no no oh no there was just showers yeah and there were Just Bathrooms okay and and you never knew if he were showering next door to a guy or a girl or or yeah that was a long time ago but I mean I think they try and give them some sense of security all of them are top to bottom I don't know why in the United States we don't have top to bottom stalls everywhere else in the world there are top to bottom stalls you're in that stall it doesn't matter what gender or what's happening in there you're just going in you're blocking yourself in and you're you're out it's like a portapotty by right by it shouldn't be a problem but apparently it is um but yeah when you get co-eds and together in a situation like that it's going to be interesting mhm she's already got kind of her her core good I'm sure it'll change a million in five times oh of course we'll see she's off she's out of the house I texted her yesterday I love you she goes oh you're already missing you're already feeling my loss oh li no I actually don't have a sink full of dishes I noticed that when I came in I came downstairs I said Steph no dishes and she went l would not Lily oh 100% she's a slob good luck to your roommate I hope you absolutely love those tea parties you'll be cleaning up after yeah right you'll be washing out the teacups Lauren says I have never been able to figure out bathrooms here ex that right I pickle paloa for us is on Sunday uh so if you're an amateur Pickler we have three professional judges that are happy to give out we've got ribbons and prizes for our top pickles so cool uh and it doesn't matter what category it's all just going to be your own so you could have whatever habanero flavor you want or bread and butter however it is you do your amateur pickles we've got three professional judges that are going to be judging one's a chef one are our friends at the pickle people and one as an off Cape celebrity oh so they will be the judges for The am give any hints none none whatsoever just definitely going to want to come and they are Foody EXC me excuse me you're bad at keeping secrets I'm terrible at keeping secrets this is eating me alive you have no idea what I know and mari's like and we're not gonna be there I know we will miss you but you know what you're celebrating your anniversary actually Sunday Sunday we're going to New Hampshire oh to see my cousin um long story short my cousin's daughter I have Mari has never met oh wow my cousin's daughter who who who would be my second cousin family stuff whatever yeah um but yeah she's she's um yeah she's never met she's never met me family for the first time bizar after after all these years and my cousin is in that grade of Health he's in his he's 80 84 um so he was always my older what sparked this trip he was my older cousin well his daughter is is coming to spend a week with him yeah and um Larry step daughter got in touch with myself and and my my youngest brother and said you know hey do you you know want to come up and want to do something and so so she she set it all up and then we found out she hasn't taken a vacation um because she was taking care of her mom and Larry and then her mom passed away and she was taking care of keeping an eye on Larry so she's going to Florida yeah to to the week that my my cousin is is is there you've never met this person in real life I have okay Mar hasn't okay yeah I like I said it's been 30 35 well we've been married 35 years and mari's never met her interesting yeah you know divorce and Mom and the kids moved to Florida and and things were ugly for a very long time and and um it's funny when you meet somebody that you feel like you virtually know you are related to them and you've never ever met them in person and then you see them I had one of those situations where um a extended family member had seen me at a graduation party over the summer yeah and that's when the room got quiet and they started saying I look like my Portuguese grandmother and it was kind of like a ghost walked into the room right kind of like your your your mother who's been calling everybody this week yeah oh right yeah oh I mean I used to see Stacy all the time when I was younger and um but then you know things didn't work out between her mom and Larry well that's cool so you're going to meet that a a relative stranger a relative Str very good very good this weekend instead of coming to pickl town that's fine I get it we can't have you every week I understand I know I want to toss pickles you absolutely will Lauren there will be plenty of time for this what pickle pickle toss yes we're gonna have a pickle yeah we have pickle we have games we have pickle paloa it's a game okay we I got like Little Green Stamps I got little green stickers we got little green men I've got got pickle costumes for the boys they are so not happy about me dressing I can imagine they're so not happy they've been so good though about about wearing the shark costume and the roost rooster costum and and aesome they worked a full day on Sunday at the brewery making sure that cars didn't park in the wrong parking lot I picked them up they uh were given white t-shirts in the rain to wear oh good so so I picked the two of them up that looked like they were at a wet t-shirt contest good choice Moody and Robbie I appreciate that very much they're both like we're cold we're wet people are dumb agree agree and very much agree I I you summed it up buddy and you've learned these hard lessons of Life at 16 there's nothing else to do no that's it if you understand that people are dumb the rest of life is easy oh my gosh he is so excited to uh get his permit coming up and uh he the race is on he will 100% have his license before Lily oh I think so at this point when she comes home from college for her first year he will already have it and he'll be driving her around yeah oh that ain't gonna happen that now now now what about the boyfriend Lily's boyfriend better not be Rod Stewart It's not Rod Stewart Mari you're good they are still uh in a relationship so I think that they're gonna try I showed her where the bus was and I it's a 45 minute bus ride for her to get there and they have $10 on the weekends for students round trip all weekend long for them to go and interact with each other so I said if nothing if it doesn't work out with Aiden you can just go over to the Museum of Fine Art and dad and I will meet you there so right we'll figure it out right Ashley says sorry I'm multitasking hey Cindy and Lara says my son can't wait to get his two right I couldn't wait to get mine I I mean I got my license the first day I could what age did you guys get your license I was a late bloomer I didn't get mine until I was 19 oh I was 16 but I also had a boyfriendhusband to drive me around everywhere so I I was good like I didn't need to get that until I went into the military and then I was like I will get that right I'll take care of myself I could do it myself right just because I wanted to drive the tank they let me drive the tank that was great you need a license to drive the tank well you just need a license in general really yeah you have to have a license Oh Oh serious I thought they would just train you to drive to tank and you didn't necessarily need you still need a license need an operator's light you really need a license you really need a license take it out in the high you get you have to have a license to shoot also you have to have all these different licenses within licenses driver's license requirement by bday at 17 17 you couldn't wait right I have friends of ours that have um uh divorce family and they sent the child down to Florida to get their license early really living with Dad so they could get it at 15 or 16 or whenever they let them have licenses yeah so Florida yeah it is so Florida hly absolutely I know well we already talked about our crazy crime in Florida there's more actually here a Florida man stabs an off duty officer who tried to steal a robbery steals patrol truck what what Florida man stabs off duty officer who tried to stop a robbery and then stole his patrol truck well that's so Florida uhhuh also citizens trying to steal live sea turtles they're Florida Citizens in Mexico you can't take the Florida out of the citizen apparently sorry Julie leave the sea turtles alone I know our friend Julie is like all right be nice to Florida I can't you do this to yourself I love Florida the people I can't stand there's going to be plenty of that um so I see a lot of talk about Bond you're the movie guy is there a James Bond movie that needs to be made is going to be made they're working on naming the new bonds I don't know actually is anybody in love with the bond franchise I never got into it I think it's kind of had its day well I mean Sean connory was amazing Pierce broen did a great job yeah but those those are my bonds right right I don't think it has the same Roger Moore also all right yeah I don't think has the same kind of kind of uh grasp on people Daniel Craig Didn't Do It For Me no he didn't and now he's spting the long hair has meltdown about it he came and he lived here yeah he worked one summer he bus tables at the end of that summer he was like all right I'm good I'm ready to go back never need to look back here again that's not for me went right back into college and finished his degree you're welcome right also he had no idea how to how to actually function as a human being and live in real life is is is this the one who works at Fox yes he handed me a stack of his paychecks at the end of the summer and was like what do I do with these no I was like well this is the electric bill and this is for this you crashed my car thank you for this here you go wow here's your money here's your money back but he learned how much hard work it is and all of my children were just natural birth control right there he was good good and we're out thank you not for me packed his little suitcase and went right back to college so I feel like everybody needs to learn in that space egg this house does a lot of good for people I'm sure is absolute birth control for you come on down send send me your wayward and your torn and they will come right back to you all fixed we are not living there that is the Cuckoo's Nest Ashley says it's tough but nowadays expected he just walked away and found someone 30 years younger shut up really well that's kind of poopy and Cindy says people just get tired of each other 30 years younger so I I imagine they're in their 50s yeah so she yeah she's mid-50s mid-50s so found somebody in her 20s and I've got to read it I will leave it there it's a contract contor it's not a contractor Cindy doing a little work over there uh met them in the showroom okay then we'll have to talk after the show I'm gonna have to read this speaking of show we've got a lot of shows going on I apologize I gaffed your Jazz and Blues and put them in the wrong categor that's okay you you'll have to show me some time how to get everything where should be yeah so you're going to have to sit with me and separate it because the way that I I got the music into the system I was like oh there go my work is done and then I get let me put the Jazz in the Blues and I'm like sorry well I F finally coming out next weekend which we're thrilled and I'll announce when we're ready when everybody's all on the same page we're working on it right takes time it really does it takes forever and I'm one of those people that is like why is it not done now yeah well I thought we were going to have the complete schedule filled in like three weeks yeah right and this doesn't work that way Victoria thank they're done for the season I'm not sure what they're going to be doing for the winter um but I think that they close or they change their programing local theater is really kicking it up a notch here on the cape uh yeah I had a great conversation with Matt LC who is on the barnable Town Council new story that just came out last week that bill Haney is uh bought that area the Regal Cinemas that is in there and is going to have real live theater Productions that's so cool so exciting that could be a big big revenue for us but a great way to use that space at the mall right that way of shopping is now outdated and it's so sad to me that Emerald Square Mall is looking for what the hell are we going to do with this thing and that is what single-handedly killed business in downtown adabor so for me to watch the whole full circle of this mall that was like the newest best coolest thing uh to be now defunct I was I was on the city council in alabor when all that was all that was going down and they originally want to be in South adbor and it didn't work out and that's a horrifically long story yeah and they ended up in north atoro and because they went to North dbor the mall people supported downtown business in North adoro they built newth adoro North adbor new fire station they did all kinds of things because they were in north adoro and unfortunately it killed our little burrow it killed downtown edelbo and if it had located in South dbo the reverse would have no doubt happened but I went down there fairly recently in that downtown area looks like it's got a new revitalization thing that's happening so they're they're trying some new restaurants some new things Yeah just they don't need any more nail nail salons we're good it became like a nail salon in every other every other storefront I see some cute little shops that are popping up so go back to the days of like silmons and the curly caterpillar and the cute little oh my gosh thought of the curly cat curly the curly caterpillar in years sidewalk sales were like my favorite things growing up as a kid like this is secretly why we started the mashby farmers market oh sidewalk sale days in downtown I had like the most fond memory of the little sidewalk sales and like getting little CH keys and walking up and down Main Street and just shopping it was just so super cute I loved outdoor shopping right that's where it started for me oh yeah oh no there was it it it was it was it but that that whole that whole way of life has changed now it's coming back though I've got high hopes I hope I I I hope it does when I when I went to adbor to work at the radio station and I had to describe ADB to my folks because they really had no idea ad I said a bomb could drop on Boston and nobody in elor would care no it was its own it was I'd never seen anything like it it was its own little alboro north adoro south adoro Norton Mansfield R hobit SE conk it was like his its own country right and it didn't make any difference what existed outside of it if you lived in that area you had everything you needed I explained to people that I grew up in a bubble I literally grew up in a bubble that's a good way to put it it was a bubble no question it was a bubble I had no idea what the world real world looked like until I went into the military and I was like whoa whoa I grew up at Mayberry it's very bizarre people found out about the News of the World either from W or from The anaban Chronicle yeah right that was it late and miss you could count on one hand the number of people who had a subscription to the Boston Globe oh that's what's going on in the world oh okay or maybe the Providence Journal because they had an alabor office and they did a really great job reporting on on on aloro news but yeah it was very very strange yeah yeah my kids definitely are not growing up that way anymore no there's no there's no bubble anymore no there is not it's okay okay we po the bubble
