long day of getting some worms I'm not I'm not even going to go there what's up John thanks joining us on the show this morning here we are well all these folks are out there already immediately waiting for us they were waiting for us thank you very much we appreciate it love it lots of hockey over the weekend the Lobster Pot wrapped up yeah people forgot what the flags were of course it's the first thing that they typing on social media yeah what the lober flags for I I forgot what they were but we had um Megan and Mariana over for supper Saturday night for corn beef and for my wife my wife's Italian she makes the best freaking corn beef ever she knows how to cook yes she does um I think I can say this she did not have kind things to say Megan about the uh hockey people well it's a lot of kids coming in the restaurant oh no the adult well both yeah well it's the adults not caring for the kids yes the adults I I think the wild ones I I I I I think how she described it was just standing around doing shots and the kids running around the restaurant you know there's she was not happy parents who have kids in hockey have parents in hockey for a re kids in hockey for a reason they're busy they're busy oh my God think about hockey is you're up you know practices at 5 o'clock in the morning I suppose you would be doing shots if you were getting up at five o'clock in the morning every day and then we gota keep going going to these damn tournament yeah I agree Hank oh Ashley says the best part of waking up is coffee in your cup and you're not kidding me that's right I'm just slowly ingesting it right now our question of the day is what is such a waste of money and I said eight coffees but I'll do it again right I said tolls because that's just stupid and by the way folks if you're still getting some of you still must be responding to this they're still sending out those text messages that you owe for toll somewhere oh know and you're going to lose your license in 24 hours if you don't pay if if if we all stopped responding think they'd stop sending them so people must be still responding I think it's a bot I think it's just a program that needs to run itself out after extracted the maximum amount of whatever it is I don't I don't know but it's ridiculous hi happy Larry thanks for joining us this morning happy Larry happy Larry do I know happy not much of a Tik Tok type but I'll have to go looking for that well we're doing a lunch and learn today and we've got Marcus from Ember marketing that is going to be doing it over at UA and uh the chamber is buying lunch and we are going to learn how to make better videos I don't know how to I don't even know anymore I don't know what's good and what's bad I just sit there and I'm like okay all right we'll give this a whirl right Mar and I are amongst the folks who will be who will be going and as I was saying to you upstairs anything that that we go to any real estate conference when we talk to our business coach it's all do video do video do video do video and and I just have this Wonder this is with all due respect to people who may be who may be watching or actually if they're watching they don't know what I'm talking about um that there's a certain demographic here on the cape that we work with in the real estate business who doesn't understand social media and doesn't use it Y and there's so much emphasis on you gotta have stuff on social media and all that I just I don't know I just shake my head sometimes and I say it's because when someone does like daughters Brothers whoever it is and they check up on you yeah you've got a breath of work yes that's true so it's not necessarily that daytoday people you're connecting with yes it's the okay now I'm going to do a deep dive because this is the society in which we live in right this we just met you now let's pour into all of your socials so that we can cyberstalk you and figure out how we think we know you are I suppose you're right about that welcome to 2025 I know it it's just the return sometimes seems to be what minimal at best minimal at best good morning Dave hagner Don what's up on the west coast Ricky be she said trying to live in our senior complex they don't even know how to use a cell phone but you see I'm a senior and and there are some seniors I like to think most of us who aren't that way yeah I mean I I I don't understand how someone gets to be my age and and they don't know how to do things yeah I I don't right I don't I mean 15 years ago if someone said my grandfather who's 70 something years old he doesn't know how to do it okay okay fine maybe but not now yeah how can you not know yeah you got to flex with it you got to well I mean I guess if you're in an assisted living or a well true but an older adult complex you're not even that old in The Villages I mean everybody should know how to do that yes yes yeah I'm waiting for the results of the pool survey oh they they talk to me Goose what's happening in the village well they did a survey um to talk about the pool hours because last year um if you had family or guests or whatever you couldn't bring them after 2:00 on Sunday oh which to me sorry seemed kind of I don't know I mean weird especially like Sunday afternoons you would think it's family time right if you were having family and friends visit and I'm sure if you have grandchildren which a lot of us do who live there who come to visit doing something like going to the pool on Sunday afternoon would be on the dance card yeah but it was cut off so they had 400 I think they said they had 450 responses to the survey and there were only 700 and something units there yeah so they got a really good response so I'm I'm hoping a lot of people took the stance that I did which was that's really dumb well if you're looking for something to do over at The Villages I have organized a bus stop at the villages to come to the farmers market no so now you can just get on the bus at The Villages and come on over to the farmers market have yourself some drinks and then get your ass back on the bus wow you're welcome oh boy in the spring and in the summer there's a huge population over there I mean I'm not kidding in in terms of um voting I don't know what Ward we're in The Villages is the largest voting Block in I know W one whatever it is in in Mash yeah so it's a winter vote we don't know right but we could control an election we could control the town I love this if you just got together you can't even control the V if we all got together no we can't even control The Villages but you're right but we could control the whole town if we just all got together and decided to vote the same way so John says I love the Lobster Pot for me the hockey I had my first wild one yesterday in the uh chamber office did yes tell us uh running frog office I can't I guess pulled papers to run for a select person in our town y um and then proceeded to Railroad me about what my job is at the chamber and what I do um you don't work for the town do you no okay no don't work for the town don't work don't it was just it was just a wild situation I had some Dawn over at capes space is wonderful to us came over and said someone wants to talk to you about member benefits and whatever and I'm like Sure hold on I'm wrapping something up wrapping a phone call up wrapping up this conversation I'm having I'll be right out there immediately jumps down my throat and I was like oh my god do you want to come in my office because we're interrupting a lot of other people in a shared work environment yes you know when you're like having a fight with somebody and you got to take it offline this is how I like let's go into my little closet let's have this conversation and we ended up fine we ended up shaking hands on the way out wished him well said goodbye and then uh it it was just a very interesting situation first time I've had an off the street crazy really yeah and he's running for town office yes okay I mean I feel like you have to be a little bit out of your mind to run for office of any sort you know you did it yeah I did it twice I did it in two different towns but there's got to be a motivation right you don't just decide to do it one day you decide because you're unhappy or you decide because you want to make a change or you've got a platform or there's there's a reason right you're passionate about it yes and you've decided you're going to do this for whatever thing that lit a fire under your rear end to do this yeah oh absolutely and you're definitely not the same human that you were when you were running for these things no I'm I'm much calmer that's good people aren't calling me yelling at me anymore yeah but it's yeah you have to prepare yourself for that too because you're the front line of people's anger yes irritation people aren't stopping me in the grocery store or whatever and okay and given the climate of the world I I don't know if I would want to step up to that position I'm I'm in a supportive role I'm back here in the support system I'm not front of the house material anymore I've taken myself mom and dad day is it no leave leave him at the bridge my aunt actually texted me this weekend trying to like well we've got Ethan can you come her daughter's getting married my cousin Carrie we're very excited the engagement photos came out on social media all thrilled still would love a date in there so that we could make some plans because Summer happens and a blink of an eye on the cape yes and I've already got anxiety about things that I don't have done for May right now like this is how stressed out I am with all of the things that are going on because I have to plan ahead of time I need to already be plan I should have already been planning for September this is how Wild Things get here when it starts it starts and there's no reing it back oh and there's no stopping it no uh so this is the season in which we are in we're days away from our first day of spring I'm sure it's going to be wrenched from our clutches and it'll be 30° once again and remind us how you live in new salesperson said well you know we have a show special oh of course it's always a special $100 off and I'm thinking oh okay if it's a $100 off how much do p it was $500 and I heard from the back you just got new clubs and I went okay she's not wrong no no no no no no she's not wrong so I asked the guy for his card and he smiled when he heard you just got new clubes yeah but it was fun we wandered around and and you know bought a bought a couple of things there's a um um um a new apparel brand um that has a um a clam with a um um flag Post in it uhhuh called oh I forget what it's called ocean something or whatever so I got a hat with a with a clam a cute little clam and a flag with a with a with a green with a green flag on it the green yeah and I may get I may get other stuff that's about I think that's the most expensive thing I bought and no endorsement which is pretty endorsement from no no no endorsement from Callaway yeah right still waiting I just have my dun Cup today yeah yeah it happens no I know don't don't think I'm GNA get my endorsement gearing up for the cannabis convention in Boston this weekend if my car gets fixed you've been having uh quite the trials and tribulations Joanna what goes on at a cannabis convention what doesn't go on at a cannabis convention it's a lot of fun you met you meet some wackos you meet some great people you meet some cool people from the community tastes samples say they must have they must have food there yeah oh yeah that's they know how to food yes they do it's actually very fun I've been to a couple of them that uh that I've had a really good time at so I hope you get to go Joanna I know it's like a high holiday over there pun's all intended right that was bad so tonight I not only have have our lunch and learn this afternoon but tonight I go before the select board in Bourne yes I'm on the docket oh boy I know so I need to come prepared and Gathering all of my documents yes just so I have them yes they're gonna ask about traffic they're G to ask about the number of people who are going to come someone's going to complain uhhuh about traffic and a number of people who are going to come thank you for the heads up yes my traffic pattern studies that's that's what's gonna that's what's going to happen well if it doesn't happen this year it doesn't happen this year there's always next year you know and what about seniors are there going to be discounts for seniors sure thing not a problem we got that check it off go girl those that's that's what you need to know we're just bringing some economic development and some fresh food to a already set up concert friends we'll see it seems like a no-brainer but um I've been I've been in the portal for a while I put my paperwork in in November November as someone who has been in both city government and town government Nob brainer seems like seems like no-brainer right trust me if it's a no-brainer there's gonna be problems yeah yep no offense I year I'm personally making zero dollars and putting a lot of work into it so it's not like it's something that I'm like well I can't pay the bills now Stephanie makes no money off of these things right we do it because we love to and we're looking to push the food around and support our farmers and our Growers and if someone comes to the farmers market and mash be from born and they say you know we should have some we should have something like this in our town you can say I asked and they said we've tried we've tried we're tring go talk to your select people that's it that's set that's so that's so dumb way they come and visit you can we come up with another name okay select men whatever if you're offended by that the board select board sounds stupid select people sounds Dumber select I don't I don't know there got to be something better this got to be you looked at the sponsors and exhibitors of the convention and none of them are familiar interesting yeah it's an everchanging landscape over there in cannabis town uh good morning Miss Bri our friends over at the center we are working on getting a before hours workout in and and and I have to apologize to Bri she's our personal trainer and she came over yesterday and I was in the midst of doing something and and when it came time to train I was I was a little grouchy I really wasn't interested in train you crabby Hank because cranky hanky um I was I was I was in the middle of of of doing something and I had to stop and I had to go do my train I'm glad I did right sorry Bri I was a little you know I was my head was my head was somewhere else yeah she's coming twice a week and I need to get on the band I need to get on cranky hanky's bandwagon because uh this girl over here had a doctor's appointment yesterday and we're up six PBS that ain't good oh no going in the wrong direction we're not going to the gym anymore like we used to no I've been busy that's true I'm like between three offices and some other drama going on and here I am doing dishes at 6 o'clock in the morning because um we have a college girl home that needs money yet can't do dishes is she home today uhuh she's went over there oh now it's officially spring break she should be home now oh okay but last week she was here she was here because she doesn't she only has classes like Tuesday to Thursday okay her schedule is something else yeah and we've got five I was like five weeks is all you have left wow right that's incredible see I've kind of lost track of that because I'm not I'm not teaching anymore right how is that for you I feel like you're busier than ever well yeah I mean I filled in with other stuff I I I really don't like it I I I I really miss you miss the schedule I really well see it for years and years and years that schedule defined my life first semester second semester mid semester you know all that all that sort of stuff and um and I just really enjoyed being Professor Hank and I I got to a certain age and all of a sudden there weren't any classes for me and I didn't think it would happen in that world yeah but it did yeah you know it was it was it was we it was very it was very very disappointing but but also I feel like there are other places and spaces for you and it's not necessarily in that world that world is very much changing so you're going to have to see what happens in that world to find yourself a new educational position right Au Bri says you are amazing Hank did you feel better yes I did yes I did I have to admit that I did I felt better the rest of the day yeah right I didn't even take a nap not that I had time but I didn't this is what happens remember when I told you you get more energy when you move your body oh no I was I was I was energized no I was arrested for drinking how dumb can you be how many borgs were there out there yesterday shout out to the borgs my daughter was showing me all of their names they had them lined up on like City Hall steps and they were taking phot explain that to the to the folks so this is what the college kids are doing now they take a gallon jug of whatever it is a water jug and they fill it up with their favorite booze some electrolytes and whatever you know their their garbage of their their choices that goes along with it and that's what they've got to drink all day no one's messing with their drinks no one's roofying them they've got their Borg and they're to go but they walk around with this big gallon jug all day going like this like the cops aren't going to go uh excuse me right put it in a Stanley like everybody else right little red cup you ever heard of the Little Red Cups oh my God I mean come on the old folks do that on the beach we know how to be sneaky and the cops understand okay well little red cops can't be that bad that's where Cody came from as one of those patties day parades piggy Parton yep you heard me what's up Sher how are you keg stands like was 20 for crying out the Luck of the Irish man somebody got lucky God that was not my finest moment at that last parade that was the last selfy parade that I went to the one with the Cody came from Yes um I was my girlfriend Renee was still living in South Boston at the time and she's like come for the parade and I'm like oh God I got to get babysitter like we're too old for this right so whatever we're going to go it's going to happen she just started dating her now husband cliff and I went to the souy parade and I mean there were the whole fire department came in through her living room like they rerouted the parade through her home where she was in souy because you were we were partying it up we were having a grand old time don't get me wrong well except you you weren't partying it up no no I was partying it up that's what Led Led to that behavior a grand old time Kang stands and all what a good time Stephanie was found in a puddle it was not not my finest moment Hank well I guess that's something you can share with Cody someday someday I don't think he ever wants to hear about that I don't think that's the story we share with our children no probably not it was St Patrick's Day in 19 or in 2020 something thank you hu I think he called a living legend I wouldn't call that legendary god Jus and Joseph that's very holy how come you didn't name him Patrick because when we started dating I made an oath that I would name him Clifford Oscar Titus whatever it is the fifth and I laughed and said yeah sure that's a we're never getting married and B we're never going to have a son and then when it happened I'm like we have to do that we AG did I really agree to that well you could give him a nickname you could call him Patrick is it yeah his nickname is Cody as a Patrick no you call him Patrick you have to do something to randomly call him Pat no no no no no no you have to do something to memorialize this I'll show you the photo of his first little Patty's day was scrunched up little Oh I thought you gonna show me how God Hank that's Hanky Panky in a different reason not cranky hanky that's different Mari I'm sorry I'm just apolog oling as it is since we're already here talking about crime scenes we might as well talk about sandwich police yes several several entries from the sandwich Police Department were there any borgs in the entries no I don't think so there one that says oh dear officers were dispatched to a deer versus motor vehicle strike the deer ran out onto Route 130 did he live and the driver wasn't able to stop just a reminder that in springtime deer out more prevalent on our roadways while incidents like this are unavoidable using caution is always advised and also just watch out for the um for the turkeys they're aggressive um yeah and and and you can tell that the boys are showing off the feathers are like it's turkey time this yeah it's it's turkey time all right see exactly that's they're they're on to the St Patty's Day flavor as well new chicks people my friend was just had a whole box of chickens that they brought home uhuh I was like oh so cute I remember when we used to raise hens those days are over here's another one a concerned caller requested a wellness check on an employee who hadn't missed a day of work in four years and then poof no showed fearing something was terribly wrong officers went to the address only to learn the employee had pulled off the ultim Irish exit they were alive and well just soaking up the festivities in the at the St Patrick's Day Parade in Yarmouth see that's it see what happened to you buddy you hadn't missed a day of work in four whole years you decided this was the day you could have called and sick you know that's the worst way to get busted oh I know you know all the stories about people being seen on TV and and and all of that it does it does happen just Colin sick well you don't even have to call in sick anymore you just call in we don't even ask for excuses anymore we're like oh you're not coming today great things are very different yeah yeah you don't have to because because you know we don't want to know that's you know violating somebody's somebody's privacy or right whatever hu can't get over the sandwich police like it's just the phrase the sandwich police yes we love it I saw um um a meme on Facebook maybe yesterday with that joke about do you know that in Massachusetts there's a town called sandwich and they have police cars that say sandwich police ha I know and you're like yeah and yeah and it's because we live here we're desensitized to it it's not funny to us anymore somebody from the Midwest they're gonna chuckle right I mean because it is kind of funny at first glance that's that's why the English don't think it's very funny they've seen it all that's why they're so grumpy right cranky or grump right oh that's you you're cranky I'm cranky especially in the afternoon mhm I mean a wellness check was requested for a man who had not returned home from work the man made contact with the family that he was on his way okay who calls the police because their hubby is late from work I don't know and there's no further details here so we don't know where he in the day and age where there's tracking your you can find anybody anywhere at any time and you're calling the police to check on somebody yeah rude yeah good morning Gloria thank you very much she always likes to slide in when we're having these uh crazy crime conversations and Lynn loves Hanky Panky a what else do we got anything more n the rest of them are all you know seems like a lot of drunk and disorderly this week yeah yeah with St Patrick's Day I don't know when the two of these started happening but drun and disorderly in St Patrick Patty's day but well I'm Irish and I can say this drug and disorderly and Irish go together yeah well wrong and also my my mother's uncle was Patrick and Patrick was a problem so I don't think I would ever name Cody of Patrick even if I had the opportunity to do so you can name him Pat you can name him Patty you can name him Rick is is today the day that we're going to find out all of the secrets oh oh just wait for this Ken this is going to be a day folks Martin Luther K like today is the day Crime Busters and all of our friends that are obsessed with True Crime and all the things that happened underneath our nose Tik Tok is going to be on fire with facts that are going to be dropped today oh I know it's going to be crazy or it's gonna be so disappointing that we're all going to be like oh I think it's going to be disappointing I think so too 80 no I don't know if re well just the hype you know what I mean you can't hype something for 70 years and have all of these conspiracies and speculations and then when you have all the information like you know what happens no no no you know what happens is they moov the goalpost yeah it wasn't this so it must be that Y and they continue the the the conspiracy so all these private documents these governmental secrets are going to be out today for everybody to pour through yes 90 Pages 80 pages on U oh is it no 880,000 I forget what it is some ridiculous number of pages about the assassination of President Kennedy um I mean a lot of people alive today don't even remember it so well and it's goingon to be reported on quickly because now we have ai right so all they can do is dump those 90 pages in there and be like give me the highlights right fast forward to the things I need to know about these situations right also there's a brand new documentary hitting Apple TV where the filmmaker claims that Jim Morrison of the door has actually faked his own death years ago and has been living in central New York I thought he was living in Paris well apparently he's been living in central New York and it's an apple documentary about or did he die in Paris no he died in Paris he died and he's buried in well he's allegedly buried in Paris right yes okay I bet is he I bet he's dead I'm sure he's dead well he's old enough now is this what we're making content out of now this is where we're at M I got sucked oh I'm watching sance on I don't know if anybody's had a chance to do how's that going for you uh I did not like the last episode we're getting to the end of season two right now and things are happening I very much love Ben Stiller is the one who has put this together yep it's not fun or funny it's about you severing yourself and so basically you're splitting your Consciousness in two so that the Consciousness one of them you can go about living your fabulous life and the other one goes to work for you and does all the work and all the grunt work oh really how does one do that I'd like to try that well the problem is now they're both kind of coming together and both worlds are colliding at this moment in time so it's becoming problematic because the ones that got forced to go work are now feeling like indentured servants to the ones that they're actually they're Ines and they're outies it's it's wild I guess and it's something different to watch that uh I I've been enjoying so it took me a little while to get into it but I now I'm in I have noticed lately I'm not I'm not big into watching reels but I've found myself caught a couple of times wheels from The Blacklist yeah I didn't realize it was on for 10 years oh yeah I quit that mid season five I think yeah I did too but it but it kept going on but these clips Raymond Readington say all kinds of really um profound isn't isn't the word but but the clips this interesting little little bits of things that he says bits of bits of wisdom nugets that that are really interesting yeah you're right yeah yeah no I I yeah I lost like probably like season five it was like okay this is enough I don't know when it jumped the shark for me but it it kind of did okay he's wearing a different hat fine now what he changed his hat every year folks I don't know if you noticed that if you stuck with it all the way through he wore a different hat every year or you know what something happens in the storyline um that or maybe a writer swap or something happens on the back end of a show and then all of a sudden you're like I don't even like this anymore why am I watching this it's like Gray's Anatomy I equate that to is still on I equate it to eating oatmeal at this point like you know it's probably good for and I need to finish it and I need to do this for whatever it is I'm just going to eat my oatmeal this is how I watch Grace's dining at home and anywhere else which is um mari's Facebook page devoted to cooking she has a couple of people who will alert her immediately yeah when when someone puts something up about gutters not the place for this or politics or whatever and bang she shuts her right down not the place for this no I don't understand why people don't know that and I get I know you get busy in your day and especially you're promoting something where you're just dropping it on all the town pages I really get that but at the same time Take 5 seconds if it's about cooking and you're trying to drop gutters on there you know better yeah our our our friend who runs sandwich scoop um has had to put up several times lately these are the rules folks and and finally she just ended up saying this is my page this is like my house you're going to do what I tell you to do well our friend Jeff stepped in it the other day over at Tony Andrews Farm arms apparently he has been um revoked his position has been revoked on the fabulous Falmouth oh really what he was just posting about strawberries are coming in June guys people were asking him about his hours of the farm and you can't do that apparently not apparently he's done that one too many times so he's been he's been banned so it become I know I know some of the Local Pages have have days in which you're allowed days which you're allowed or you can only post like if it's a business post like you know once a week this to me is ridiculous I feel like it's unreasonable to ask someone for like these that read all the rules before you post here you're not that great there are other pages so he just took a screenshot of his revoking his Banning yeah and then posted it on the farm page don't you worry Jeff we've got your back right Jeff is going to be at every single one of our mashby farmers markets except for the first one because they're not open yet so we open opening day for us is Memorial Day weekend he'll be there the following weekend and hopefully so will his strawberries because they're legendary uh depending whatever Mother Nature gives us it may take a week or two extra right waiting is worth it because a he's got the best strawberries and be the Silver Queen is one of our favorite things their corn oh and what it is Silver Queen time she goes she goes fast we get her for about two weeks and it is like just the best you've been noted okay I will warn you also on our social media pages when when they're coming now see she can post whatever she wants there's no limit on how many times but I made a page so that everybody can post whatever you want as long as it's about an event I really tried to get all of the thinking out of it right you want to post 47 times a day you go right ahead if it's about an event I love it and the more you post the less likely people are going to show up by the way repetition is not necessarily a good thing is this what you found good morning no because people will decide okay this person's obnoxious yeah you know I saw it last week I saw it this morning I don't need to see it this afternoon sometime sometimes though the town crier gets things done well I've seen this what is this and you see it over and over and over and over guess I know repetition is part of the game yeah but too often is too often right it's kind of like when you hear the advertising or you start singing the advertising if you're B watching a show and it's the one ad that's being picked up on social media for whatever it is like all the lawyers we know we know you're out there really I'm GNA lot of fun things happening um and if you ask the crazy person that came into my office yesterday by the by the time he left though we were shaking hands and he understood better what it is that I am people we're not trust me I look at the budget every day and want to cry because I'm like what can I do for these businesses honestly I really am we're always trying to work really hard we've got wonderful Mash P high school students that are working with us and there are such go-getters uh I got both of them yesterday checking in with me they don't work on Mondays uh and they were like are my schedule for the week is X Y and Z this hours this hours I love it they're really on top of it for those of us who weren't there what was the special announcement you made at the annual meeting oh for Restaurant Week yes pleas yeah everybody that sh annual meeting got their first dining points for a restaurant week they get to scan the QR code first super easy to do it's going to be at all of our participating restaurants uh that little lull in between Memorial Day weekend and Father's Day weekend that will be Restaurant Week okay our restaurants will be fully staffed they'll be ready to go and they'll have already had the one weekend of Memorial Day weekend to figure out how they're going to fix it how they're going to make it better okay we're going to roll out a special Restaurant Week uh menu and then anytime you go there you just scan the QR code put in your phone number no logging in no going there and figuring out what your damn password is oh oh thank God no passwords every single day we'll give out a couple of gift cards to somebody randomly and then at the end of the week who has the most dining points get $100 to the restaurant of your choice that's it first restaurant Week very cool yeah super easy to do we're working with short up digital to push this out and make it look pretty Angela and Marinelli are food writers they're food people they've had their digital Agency for over a decade on the vineyard and uh Angela has relocated to Falmouth she now has a farm with her Chef husband Gavin very cool and uh Gavin is definitely going to be coming over to our farmers market and doing some fun food stuff with us and we're just super thrilled to have some some new fresh takes on everything that we're doing but we've been talking so much about having a restaurant Week we've never actually had one here in mashby I'm so surprised that mashby has never had one no because there certainly are enough around yeah yeah so I'm thrilled for it have a little something even just in the comments yeah we've got 31 restaurant members so they're all going to be offering some different stuff wow and I'm very much looking forward to it from smoothies to Bagels to uh some sweet treats as well there'll be something a different menu out there and about for everybody very cool I know so we're working on that yeah we've got a lot of fun things that we're working on including our guide book this year so if you want advertising the deadline is approaching March 28th is the last day to get your ads in also our golf tournament in which we raise money for Mash P high students that is happening May 5th Cino de Mayo over at willowend it's a Monday because whenever Patty's Day falls on it's the same day for Cinco Deo did you know that I did not so if Patty's Day is on a a Tuesday then Cinco Deo is gonna be on a Tuesday for whatever reason so we got Monday holidays here can party any day it makes Monday less bad yes it does right we had something to look forward to my my husband had to remind me 14 times yesterday 670 it's it's Patty's Day what are we doing like we ended up making egg rolls oh we went to we went to H where did we go last night because we had to have car um serviced oh we ended up going to an Italian restaurant of course you did it was empty of course it was Sunday we did the boiled dinner so then yesterday we took that boiled dinner and made egg rolls out of it and it was phenomenal so good right wow no Mari Mar made it Mari made it Saturday night so excellent she she cooked the um um corn beef a little differently and I I don't want to repeat the recipe because you didn't get the gray did you cuz I'll screw it up oh no no no no no no no no no we got the red buys them we got the red I know it's no nitrates I know it's hadn't even fed the kids but they were fine they were eating chips and whatever they were fine fine what's up B I did not have a good night and and and yeah no I really like them but I I can't yeah I can't I don't I just I just can't oh memories memories and mudslides good times that could be a title of a book memories and mudslides put it down put it down in your in your notes speaking of books today's your writing class yes it is and Hank is writing a book I don't know if you know this but I'm very excited to see if this jolts you catapults you into this space it's a it's a it's a book of um short stories and and so far I've written I think I have 17 that's exciting short stories but there won't be there won't be that many in this um is there a flow to it yet or first volume I'm trying to figure it out that the sub titled is stories and memories real and imagin so some of it is things that I've made up totally some of it is is reminiscence about I kind of like that because you don't know what's fact or fiction that I've that I've kind of you know fudged fudged a little so interesting do your wife know what's fact or fiction in there she hasn't read it yet Mar's gonna be like is this real is this real did that happen yeah yeah no I I think I hope people will find it interesting um I'm already down for it I've got to figure out which ones are real and which ones are not but we're but we're getting there I'm GNA put on my little crime hat my detective hat I'd make the world's worst detective I'm like oh you say that okay I believe I believe her right ah that is not the place in which I belong I saw this story about a Peruvian Fisher person who was lost at sea for 95 days Fisher person can't say fisherman anymore I don't I don't know if it was a boy or a girl all right I just didn't know I I forgot that part of the story aan person who fishes a yeah someone from Peru who Peruvian Fisher person just that they lived at sea for 95 days God bless them off of roaches seabirds and sea turtles guess you got to do what you got to do if it's between that or or moving on I think think I would have just moved on just that's it you would said I'm good take me take me away I'm done that is a Tom Hank's Castaway situation 95 days yes it is that is just the incredible will to live and survive and that is a good story that is someone who I would read their book yes I would want to know what each and every single day was cuz I'm sure you would intimately remember each and every single day like it could be or is your is your last because you spent 90 days thinking it was your last hey the astronauts are coming home is it going to happen yes they they're already um on Route welcome home I wonder if they can walk still or if they just I've been wondering the same thing if if if when if when they get off if they don't have to like put them in a wheelchair or something yeah probably because because there's nothing gravity situation that their legs must be because they were going for what a week and they stayed for nine months yeah that's that was a long time yeah and and you know whose capsule didn't work and that's why they couldn't get back but we won't mention any names Elon Musk um it's always got to be one got to take one for the team somewhere that's right I guess oh Rebecca I never get to see you live thank you so much Rebecca was one of my co-workers back in 963 the rose days she went on to become an amazing author and now she's a mom author a mom author and living in the Outer Cape and she she wres about mom stuff um no she actually writes like teen fantasy MH I think she's in the ya realm if correct me if I'm wrong Rebecca but um she's amazing and uh she we had a lot of crazy fun yes we did Mary we were in sandwich it was food at least I'm drinking caffeine free Diet Coke but but oh yeah we're always going to the grocery any when going to the grocery store what do you need I need more Diet Coke and I am absolutely showing your age she saids she I'm only 25 but she likes the orange poppy no I just I don't yeah unpopular opinion I just don't like it m I don't know what it is what have you got today lunch break well this is starting to be the time of year when we're gonna be doing spring cleaning I got a dumpster yes you do you got a dumpster so today I'm G to be talking about things that you absolutely cannot put in the trash okay and also talking about how on April 19th Mari Center plus City real estate will be hosting a shredding event from 1 to 3 in the today real estate parking lot love it on cou Road in Sandwich this is an opportunity to take all your documents particularly now that your taxes are done that your accountant has said you don't need these anymore yeah but they still have your name and your social security number and all kinds of other things on it even if you rip them up and put it in recycling that's really not good enough so great white shred has a wicked cool truck and you can watch your stuff be being shredded up so when is that happening we will be there April 19th okay from 1 to three love that um free of charge but we ask that you bring a monetary donation to this sandwich food pantry if you if you are able I very much like that also that week it's you know Earth Day is coming up on the Tuesday April 22nd and uh that weekend Mash B is doing at the senior center some a showing you how to compost so you get a free little composting or food scraps bucket and you can also buy one of their composting bins which is like only $25 and all that money goes to just buy more composting bins it's not like the town is making any money off of it but they're also doing collection of old media which I love so if you've got like old CDs or USBS or all like just dumb outdated technology but don't give away the albums folks yeah right no not the albums uh but just like stuff that no longer works and is broken and is kind of that old media refu that just clogs up your junk drawer because you kind of don't know what to do with it they're collecting all that as well yeah and um one of the places we wor yesterday when mari's car was being fixed it was it was up at Derby Street and and one of the stores we went into the Derby Street shops while her car was being worked on and um one of the stores we went into I I forget I found Mariana in the back looking at the vinyl oh I love it well she's got a she's got a record player yeah that like $32 oh I know and I look and I go I had that and I paid four bucks for it I know well vinyl ensive I know and then I decided oh CDs and everything else I don't need and I threw it out dumb Dum dumb right but how would we to know we still have several crates of Records upstairs the ones that my mother didn't sell while I was away at the military still a little bitter about that one it's fine it's fine I don't need it anyway it's fine I how is how is Mom oh never mind today is forgive your mom and dad day I
