excellent and um yeah so they they're just amazing we love Lindsay and Jen very much so yeah I was like I need a sweatshirt because it's gonna be pouring rain and I need to walk both dogs and my wife was like you might want to wait and I was like um no rain all day yeah not possible to wait I know so it is a tough day to wake up especially when it's nice and cozy in your bed and you get the Lovely sounds of the the rain Pitter pattering rain pitter patter yes and then we have our our lovely Pitbull she loves to wake the entire neighborhood up because she's like she's like um oh you're feeding me I was like okay then yep I'm up I'm up and uh our 13-year-old he sleeps through everything so he did is it that funny how they can do that yeah I'm like what huh I know my daughter's home from Spring Break and uh my son could still sleep I had to you know knock on the door it starts off gently it's nice like the pitter patter of rain like the pitter patter of rain then it gets to like the as well so much of it yeah I did laundry as well well I'm trying to teach our lovely 13-year-old that guess what if you wear this one time guess what you don't need to say oh it's dirty I wore it once no I know right the rest no you it's it's a sweatshirt you it didn't really touch your skin too much so right so therefore like no you can wear you can wear it two three more times this week if you want then I take it off and then I put it on the resting chair then the resting chair is quite full right now so I need to get that dealt with this week the resting chair that's it hey Ted Gloria like we want to try stand up at least one time yeah so we've both been kind of crafting our act and he's been taking a class for it so I'm very excited to see he's got his graduation class coming up in which they actually perform they actually perform see I got a good friend of mine wkkl um Mr Steve Pico he's super funny yeah and uh he needs to take a stand up comedy class because I'm pretty sure he would like sell out shows and everyone would laugh because sometimes you just need the structure right so I he's you know yeah him and I we always have have these little back and forth that I'm like wow okay let you yep 100% you love them you need to you need to have some standup comedy action yourself shout out to our friends over at 90.7 wkk that's right the Alum over here Slater marman is acoustic show is like 23 years old there was a period of time that I was like oh yeah we're trying to get our on so I need to like focus on that and love that you never gave it up so thank you yeah 100% like I was like you know I need to take some time but then I was like well no this is a hobby my wife is like yeah that's like your one hobby the rest of the rest of the rest of the time because I'm working my fingers to the Bone you're taking care of Mr Hunter hi Hunter hello everyone at Mor pawns that's where I work uh so awesome yeah so hello everyone um yeah so um she was like yeah you that in the chat because just in case people want to go I bought my ticket I'm very excited to go and see all the hard work that you've poured into this crafting of a set and uh Dan is joining us from Middle America Gloria from Canada we've got visitors and viewers from all over visitors and viewers from all over Canada yeah hello Canada I know right we're still friends right yeah are we are we are we friends with you we didn't do it are we friends are we friends with you I hope we're friends with you so let's talk about your book here um so let's see um this speaking of taking a class like is this something that you always wanted to do as be a writer um I always enjoyed writing I didn't necessarily know I wanted to write books um this particular book because I've actually written three of them um I have to say the first two especially the second one is like not really super good it's kind It's Kind by my book it's not really that good well because it's kind of all over the place like one minute you're here then one minute you're here and then one minute you're here and then you're over here and then you're over here so maybe you might benefit from taking a Ted Murphy class there there you go so um but yeah um this particular book um I think it spoke to me a little bit more because um as a student with a learning difference myself I always felt like a little bit different and um we ended up with a chaaha uh you have a Chihuahua upstairs if I'm not mistaken well she is a miniature pincher but she does look like a chah all right all right acts exactly the same I'll tell you that right now okay so um buy yeah we had a we had a little Chihuahua that didn't look like all the other Chihuahua she was a little bit bigger she wasn't super tiny um and she had like she didn't have the pointy ears she didn't have um what was it Paris Hilton chihuahua oh yeah U she did yeah that's not what she looked like she wasn't a purse dog yeah she was not a purse dog um I mean yeah you could probably fit her in the purse not a purse dog either it would be you know you'd have to have the giant purse um or or as they said on Seinfeld The Man bag that's it the man bag hey Cheryl thanks for joining us the manag Dan says Morse Pond Alum though very excited about that oh excellent um yeah the man bag um so yeah you would have to have that to fit her in there and then my uh my wife had a doberman growing up that slipped a disc and so she couldn't really walk ever and I mean they they uh so it's basically about those two um particular dogs and how they were different the main character is our Chihuahua in the book her name is Tiny for us her name was micro um you I remember micro micro marman that's right you you met micro that's it um and so uh yeah and so it's just all about how being different is it's it's really okay and uh it's it's not a it's not like a hey you can't do X Y or Z because you're different you just have to maybe put in a little extra work um but you wrote this when you were younger right I did I wrote it when I was I so I I wrote it when I was like 2013 14 so about 10 11 years ago um it was bookbound by my mom a retired art teacher in Belmont New Hampshire and then um she actually did the illustrations for it which I didn't ask for she just all of a sudden bookbound it sent it back with illustrations she was an art teacher yeah of course she did book bookbound back but she's not an illustration person so so I was like oh she Illustrated it um it was in black and white not in color it it was just an awesome book I actually gave it to my wife Beth and then it disappeared I have no idea where it went I worked in the the DI school system for eight nine years I ripped apart our house is it in the Attic is it under our bed I hate when that happens like what happened to it because I had one copy and one copy only and I couldn't find it um I did read it on my YouTube channel uh which I don't even know what it's called because I haven't used it in so long it might be it it might be blade 76 because um I don't know somehow Slater turned into bade um like I got to love College radio I know well I think I think was I don't it was it was actually a it was like a familyes type thing oh my my twin sister uh would call me slay the blade and that's where it came from good morning Chris thanks for joining us that's where it came from um so yeah and so um I I sent that to the Publishers after reaching out to a different publisher than the one with my first two books and there you have it um this lovely children's book um there different different it is okay yeah I love it is okay yeah exactly it is so different it is okay um so yeah that's that's kind of how the book came about and um yeah you can you can find it um I I love supporting local hence being on Lemon Ado y um and so you can find it at titcomb's Bookshop in Sandwich on 6a you can find it at eight cousins books uh in fouth I believe they only have one copy because that's all they wanted and you and you don't need to get into the myua it's at eight cousins if you want to go buy it that's right this is true this is true um and then I reached out um to those on the island because we kind of forget about those people on the island and uh you can find it Island books uh in Fair Haven Fair Haven Varden Vineyard Haven there you go Vineyard Haven St Fair cool so yeah um that's it's as I said um you can also find it on my website uh Slater marman all one word.com I love the Slater especially that you brought back something that you started when you were a kid and you're like no I'm going to put this out and it's out there in local bookstores so if you're looking for a quick little fun read and you've got some Littles or grandkids definitely scoop up this book uh and Lindsay is in fact watching so she's probably excited you she's uh being repped over here being repped over here yeah I love it yeah 100% I was um so yeah um actually read it at uh the Jonathan Bourne Public Library last Thursday um it was a small turnout um it was a small turnout um there was actually an you don't need to add these details in later we're going to have to have a conversation about how you're going to do some press here this is true this is no 100% no um there was only one person they didn't even look that no no they were looking for the bathroom no uh no there was there was um yeah I read it at the Jonathan Bourne Public Library uh on Thursday and we're actually going to probably do it when there's more Littles around this summer um I need to reach out to the library and at the Jonathan Bourne Public Library yes please and also uh I would love to have you come and read at the mash P Farmers Market also uh we go before the borne Council tomorrow to see if we can do the canal farmers market so I love to have you in some capacity doing some story readings 100% yes 100% we got a nice big grass area we've got tons of kids that always come and we offer a bunch of different activities for kids to do and I would love a great story reading my friend all right yeah there you go as I said um you know it's I think what I think this book is different hence yes the name because I think there's a big connection to uh micro uh Haley is the the Doberman and myself I you know um kids are different and teachers I believe are doing an amazing job with what they're given but it's just kind of all about how um one kid might learn as a visual learner one kid might not be a visual learner so you can't always teach the same way each each kid is a little bit different um and that was me uh I actually ended up on capcon because of being different um my lovely mom illustrator and the one that helped create said book uh when I was living in New Hampshire I would get C's C pluses not horrible grades and it would say Slater's a joy to have in class great participator and then the grade would be a c minus or a C+ and my mom would go huh love him great participator yet as great as average I don't know that seems wrong so I actually ended up going to the Riverview School shout out Riverview School amazing um my Junior and Senior year I love that and now you're here working in the school systems yes yep 100% And you met your wife who's an amazing um um she works in the dental field yeah yes she's a dental assistant ADV Advanced Dental Care of fouth so she's she's the one that Love You Beth she's she's actually she's actually the one calming patient patients down before they go with the dentist she's the the one suctioning she's the one making your temporary crowns um she's the one making sure that those teeth look good um She'll always have a job there plenty to do there I'll tell you that right now she's the one doing the ordering um lots of times people go your wife's a hygienist and I go no I mean shout out to hygienist but no she does not clean people's teeth she actually works with the dentist she like makes the Temporaries she like shaves them down to make them fit your to make them fit your fit your mouth I have this like oh my gosh there's we could go on and on about the teeth situation that's like my one nightmare I have dreams about losing my teeth or like falling down or whatever and once again we need a dream specialist that we need just need to call when these things happen but teeth are just weird for me oh Susan is here Susan our happy medium say hello hi Susan so supportive yes she's got a bunch of wonderful shows you are so busy my lady but I would love for you to come back on the show and chat with us we've got Slater marman in here an author different it is okay his book and you can grab it at some of our local bookstores you said ticks uh eight cousins and then if you're over on the island there's one over there too yes Island books excellent and then your website slater.com correct yep and he's going to be doing some readings throughout the cape um what is it that you're doing with the kids when you work at moris pond so I work with a um I'm a one-on-one with with a fifth grader who um basically needs a little bit of help with some self self self-regulation Y and um so yeah I'm I'm kind of in the classroom helping out if he kind of needs a minute to take a walk or needs a minute uh because whatever it is that we're doing schoolwise he turns around and he goes Mr M and I go yes and he goes can I step out for a minute and I go yep um and some you know so um that's amazing sometimes sometimes I can see the frustration and I just kind of walk over to him and I get down on my knees a little bit and I go listen listen I know this problem's hard you can do it though and even if you do it wrong it's okay because like the teacher is going to go over it in class or she'll mark on there like great work this is the step you missed I love that you're doing that my daughter also works with autistic kids um on the west coast uh my girlfriend Renee does this for a living also just AIDS extra help people that need to be there in the school systems and shout out to all of our people whether you're in special ad or doing those extra things for our kids we appreciate you and uh the amount of work that you do is a lot yeah yeah I mean the stuff that you deal with is extraordinary on a regular daily basis and I'm putting it kindly yeah no 100% 100% um he you know last year my particular student he really wasn't in a classroom so the beginning part of the year was a little bit rough he he couldn't really be in the class um with the rest of the fifth graders and we've worked our way we're in the class with our other fifth graders for you know basically the entire day um with many many breaks here and there so but he he actually had to for there was a period of time at the very beginning that he had to be in a separate space um because he just couldn't handle being in the regular space and I had to get the work that they were doing in math Ela whatever it was to kind of do it myself with him um and then we would bring it down to the fifth grade teacher and now as I said he's he's come a super far super far and long way and he's in class really the entire day that's awesome well you I'm sure you've learned trip tricks tips things from your time at Riverview School and also at wkkl yes uh you still keep coming back to the college days my friend I do I keep coming back to those College days 100% you had a good time over at fores I did yes it was it was definitely super fun it was definitely super fun at wkkl and you know we definitely had a fun time and I I met um the the aforementioned Steve Chico there and um I there's DJ Rhythm uh jet Barnes who's DJing like everywhere in Boston yeah right he I think he had uh I believe last year he did not have a single weekend off so he's definitely there's he's using some sort of um app to get those gigs but he's he's he's doing it he's he's working he's busy he's working and and busy for sure um and Steve and I we met in 2002 and now uh I see him well the Celtics playoffs are coming so I'm sure I'll end up at his house with the Celtics playoff gam your big Celtics fan are you I'm a huge Celtics fan I love those those Celtics yes um so I met probably one of the biggest Celtics fans I have ever met it was at the kuna messet and it was Vanna pella's birthday party and there was this woman sitting at our table and she's like don't tell like she had the the phone on she had the app on she's watching the game she's got seasoned tickets like she is a crazy Rabbid Celtics fan and she said I actually had a date with this guy and last year during the playoffs he called and was like oh I don't really want to go and she's like I broke up with him right then and there because if he was not going to the Celtics games with me I knew that we were doomed was not it not it we're doomed shout out to our friend Danny wall she's got courtside seats for the last hundred years and those are not cheap no no no my 13 my my my nearly 13-year-old one week from today 13 hi Hunter again um he's in school so you better not be watching you take him games though you better not be watching yes we do he actually asked me uh or both of us Beth and I hey hey guys how come we haven't been to a Celtics game and I kind of both of us looked at him and went bro well they just won the championship last year so cheap tickets are not exactly like pennies nose bleeds buddy yeah even even even nose bleeds are not you know it's like oh right okay I guess there goes uh h much better viewing on TV I there goes like a quarter to my pay Jack if not more how about we just go to Boston and watch it nearby at a restaurant yeah how about so um but who knows feel the hype of the game from afar uh Susan wants a signed copy what's up Huck he said thank you for all you do for the kids Sandy is here Liz hi love you and um we are hanging out slay marman is here he's written this fabulous book different it is okay and it's available at our local book stor so definitely scoop that up I saw um Jean Hackman's will his children were not named in the will can you imagine having million that's nuts I mean and not assigning it to any but any human in your life yeah that's that's that's crazy I mean I know I my understanding is is that his alimer like is what basically got him and he and he had no idea that his lovely wife had passed there's they're actually doing some sort of like ABC News special tomorrow on Jean Hackman and the questions the interviews and I'm like didn't the media already say I feel like we've had enough didn't the media already say what happened like really sad like it's yeah it's super sad uh by the way Jean Hackman if you have not seen hooer speaking of the Celtics and basketball hoers uh if you haven't watched it I don't know what's wrong with you sorry right sorry have you been on a Hackman te I have not been on a Hackman tear but as when I saw his death I went has Hunter watched hooers and I said can Hunter watch well this is true I was like I think he has I think I've showed it to him already but then and then I get these these movies from the library and I put them in and he goes Dad Dad I've already watched this did you know that and I go really you can't watch it again they don't understand the joy of like the one movie a year that we used to get you you you you can't watch it again they're just constantly being barged with new content different things and and constant stimulation we had to like wait for that weekend what's going on at the movies what's going to be released and it's it was like one it was like one thing we got to sa her it was one thing that you got to saor yeah right it wasn't like me binging one entire horrible show over the weekend I was I got sucked into a like little rat trap one of my friends was asking me for suggestions for Content I'm like don't ask me I'll watch anything I watch garbage it's canot even mentally stimulating it is a place where I just watch whatever and just shut my brain off shut the brain off because I'm so busy all of the time that I don't watch content that is actually good for me at all no she Stephanie shuts Stephanie shots her brain now it's like Twizzlers and popcorn up there there's nothing good happening I just need to watch Trash so I did and it was younger some show it had seven seasons I'm on like season five right now I can't leave it alone there are so many celebrities that keep hopping up in this stupid show that I'm watching it's not good it's not well written wasted a whole weekend on ITT a whole weekend Wendy Malik is in is is part of that younger f is it yeah yeah yeah I think Wendy I do know because only only because I've seen previews and I was like oh Hillary Duff okay Hillary Duff yeah all right and that's also that person all right yeah too funny too yeah I was like I was like I seen previews for younger so defin it's not even been a show since 2021 but here I am sucking it up I love it sucking up um so it is St Patrick's Day I actually went I was in Ireland on Patty's Day like three or four no actually it was Valentine's Day that's a lie I was in Valentine's Day because St Valentine is yeah buried St Valentine St very very very confusing well St Patrick was Welsh okay St St Valentine St Patrick's yeah um now I have did you do the the leprechaun trap with your children no okay I had friends that did the leprechaun trap they shared the photo on social media what is the leprechaun trap I don't know I we never did the lepre just it was a box right just a box you tell the kids we we never did the leprechaun trap either and as a matter of fact we never did anything for St Patrick's Day and then all of a sudden uh some lovely neighbors of ours they actually came to my book reading uh they all of a sudden had coins outside of our door on a particular St Patrick's Day and so of course we were like oh what is it what is this we thought this was a Guinness holiday what like what what is this what are you doing we already have Christmas Easter we already have thanks what thanks although Thanksgiving is like he like eats food and he's like all right I I'm not really a fan of turkey I'm not a fan of this I'm not a fan of that I'm not a fan of that um can I just have bread yeah sure you can just have bread wants the soda bread that's that's fine you can have bread although my friends shout out to our friends over at little blue who apparently made so much soda bread that totally sold out I'm sure your soda bread is much greater than the one that my nana used to make cuz her soda bread was vile H she's straight from Ireland though I don't know what the deal is there but straight from Ireland it wasn't good not good it's not good not good no soda bread for you so yeah no we um so yeah that yep so I just don't like raisins in bread no no raisins in bread no raisins in bread my wife my wife doesn't like anything with nuts so a lot of times he'll He he'll actually pick out he'll say can um Mom do you want do you want that candy bar and she's like no it has nuts in it and he goes so is she allergic or she just doesn't like them no she just doesn't like anything with nuts in them not a fan of nuts and he he so many places I could go there and I'm not yeah he lit so kind later I'm just gonna leave it there's this is true you could go so many places you you could you could go so many places but I'm not doing it she's not doing it talking about a kids book today be behave we have to behave so yeah she's and he can't remember Mom do you want Snickers they have peanuts no oh he's so cute what's up Nate Nate Skinner from wkkl back from spring break Excell oh you're back here how was your first semester in uh West Virginia I hope you're enjoying your uh upgraded college experience I was just having this conversation with my daughter who's home for spring break right now and I said in five weeks you're done with your first year of college how do you feel about that she's like it's mindblowing mind-blowing mind-blowing yeah I mean it's it's mind-blowing you know everyone says well uh your son's going to be a teenager and I go yep that's mindblowing and then they say you know in three years they're going to be able to drive and I go be quiet I know my son's taking driver's head starting this weekend be like be quiet I'm aware I'm excited like I'm aware that he he'll he'll be able to drive is he active is he busy does he play a bunch of sports oh my God he's so he's so active he he's uh baseball basketball uh that's really it U baseball is in the fall he did soccer for a little while and then there was a situation that arose that he was like nope I'm done with soccer yeah I I'd be done with soccer too soccer stinks I don't want to do soccer sorry I don't want to do soccer so um basketball and baseball he's actually at at the stepup age so he is gonna be uh doing Babe Ruth for the which is at the high school Fields that's exciting it is exciting it's at the high school Fields across from uh oh nothing like Spring ball basically across from Canal View Apartments where it could be 20 degrees or 50 degrees and you're out there trying to swing a bat yeah and catch a ball that feels like a brick because it's so cold it's so cold well they you know yes yesterday they said 11 days until opening day and I went what are all these teams doing you can't all be on the in Florida and on the west coast no no we have to start somewhere can't all be there well because we won't get the whole season in unless you get started at some point good morning Ro thanks for joining us he said school has been great and we could do a show this week there yeah well let's get together check the schedule see if I have any Open dates thank you very much for rolling with my uh my cancellations you know what this is a joy to get to be able to do this show when my regular 47 jobs don't get in the way of being able to do the show so sometimes that just doesn't occur sometimes that doesn't occur it doesn't sometimes your back is like nope not going anywhere oh my God not no not you can't go anywhere you're not allowed to go downstairs get down the stairs not allowed to go downstairs it was not a pretty day it was like a Sidewinder until you get to the chiropractor and he's like what did you do here what did you do like I'm fine and then later on that week nah had texted me and she's just like Eric throt his Niles throt his back what do I do I've never we've never had this happen before it's been a lot of bad backs lately I don't know whether it's this spring whatnot but a lot of complaints lately even my dad my back's been bothering me I'm like oh my God please nothing worse than back pain and tooth pain yes yeah those are the two things that you can't do anything about they're the they're the worst they're the wor yes tooth pain is definitely the worst well your wife deals with that all the time shout out to Beth she does she does you know a lot of times the front Ask Beth can you answer this woman's question they're in tooth pain and they want to get seen but there's 50 other people people that are supposed to get seen today can you take them and you can't exactly help somebody over the phone with that you actually have to look at the problem cuz right yeah no I mean you know sometimes she'll say well did you eat did you eat something that you shouldn't have eaten or you know what kind of pain is it I've reached the age where teeth are just crumbling it's what happens we've given up here what what what what kind of pain what kind of pain is it we've been around too long we got to go what what what kind of pain are you having is it dull is it not Dull is it sharp and uh she she's she's been doing it for 28 years so she can actually take those notes and go yeah see that's pretty impressive see see if you can squeeze them in at this time I I'll see them and if the doctor gets mad at me oh well are you Irish I'm not Irish I for whatever reason really thought maramman would be Irish no it's um there's like we have Scottish uh English I feel like we're even a little French Canadian okay yeah interesting yeah no Irish today's the day of corn beef and cabbage it's the day of Guinness it's the day of Jigs and fiddles it's the day it's the day of Jager mys right oh God no what said no one ever Slater a little a little gagger bomb for second no absolutely not uh bartenders in New York City Irish pubs share their wildest St Patrick's Day stories that's that's kind of Be good I can only imagine I can only like the stories this is long this is a very long conversation over here and I was just verely from people going to the bathroom to dust up wild fights taking their wedding rings and engagement rings off of the bar um oh these are this is a lot we no we are not going to get into all of this no that's a lot ch hold your tie and watch it is 47 pages of pranks nonsense I just when people have too much to drink they're stupid so 47 Pages it 47 Pages this is now this is a book I could get down with what not to do when you're beverag what not to do when you're beverag 47 Pages speaking of the number 47 yeah uh it's at anytime my wife or I really talks to Hunter we say how many times did we ask you 47 times is that usually the number that's usually the number we always go do we did we not ask you to take out the trash 47 times and he goes why do you always use 47 and we go we could go 67 and he's not a fan of that at all he's that's a whole middle school slang I don't understand what they're even saying anymore how do you how how do you survive at Morris Pond right now do you even understand what they're saying to you I do it's another language it is another language but what's funny is um my wife and I went well our son's in middle school and we got a little middle school slang um and we actually follow several people there's one particular teacher Phil Lindsay um he's amazing Mr Lindsay is great he's so we follow him and he gives us all the slang and I remember actually the first time walking up to one of the fifth graders at lunch and I said something to them and they were like how do you know that and I went 100% And I went um well I have a middle school child of my own and I might have been doing a little research but you were talking um when we were just chatting before we've went on the air about things that they you know he's not GNA have and you can't have this and you can't have that you're pretty strict about the things that you allow Hunter to have this is true yeah we're a little bit strict I mean I don't think it's horrible in terms but you know like he he definitely restrictions there's nothing wrong with it you're allowed to say that you're not ready for that yeah exactly we have a little bit of some restrictions for sure um on him but and no fortnite no fortnite no no no fortnite we were like not do you find that a heavy battle when you're having that conversation with him and he's like really wants it like I'm about to be 13 years old shouldn't I be able to have this uh no because you know your answer is no we're we're we're ve we're very lucky uh you know because we've always been open and honest with him about everything yeah uh and so we said no and he he kind of said why and I actually said you know he was about to go back upstairs and sulk probably and I said here's the reason why I said there's a kid that I actually I taught his sister um in the DI school systems he's an amazing student um he actually just became like scholarship award winner um for dii hockey and he's oh shout out to our friends over at nset that just won the Championships over the weekend not taking anything away from this Dy story just reminded me of the fact that they won the Massachusetts Championship over the weekend so congratulations um so yes absolutely congratulations and he was an amazing student Hunter is an amazing student and I said listen this mom had to deal with this particular child getting fortnite and he became addicted he like would be well they build those to be addicted to he would be up until like 2 2:30 in the morning she would like wake up and go like how come my son's door is open and his light is on it's 3:30 in the morning he has to get up in two and a half hours and his grades they obviously suffered tremendously and she was like nope you're all done with that so turn into shape shifters I don't even know what happens to them so so yeah we were just like like nope you're you're you're not having fortnite and uh he did spend an entire day with a couple of boys that so both Beth and I being the smart parents we were went it's probably because those two boys had four yeah we'll blame it on them we'll blame it on Rotten kids those blame it on them they no they spent the entire day in Buzzard's Bay uh with go-karts see good get them out there physically doing stuff I think that that's so important 100% go-karts so and actually got rewarded for being outside and go go-karting seventh grade he's seventh grade y wpp up wrapping up seventh grade yes go does he have a cell phone he does not have a cell phone we we were like no cell phone for you but however we made a compromise we said you can have an Apple Watch because you can still text on that you can still call on that you can text your friends you can call your friends there's no Safari there's no internet so therefore half half or more of those problems go away because you don't have yourself phone to jump on YouTube Safari what whatever you I love the fact that you're in the middle school system so you see all the differences of what the exposure to the kids are and you're like nah not for you not for you not for you definitely not for you so we're yeah that's what's going on sta I right I mean it changes every single year and all these things I'm pushing them younger and younger and I see kids that are five years old with cell phones and I'm like is that necessary I mean I do understand that your kid needs to communicate with you and it's a lot different they don't have payones everywhere like it was when we grew up however five years old does not need to have a cell phone payones what are those shut your mouth I grew up in a different time it's just a different time no I had I had there was a pay phone at a our general store that we went to up in New Hampshire shout out to all those Granite Staters um yeah there was a pay phone right outside the J store and if you didn't my mom would always say if you're going to ride your bikes down to the General Store make sure you have a quarter or a couple quarters in case you need to call me to come get you because it's raining because it's cold because it's because it's dark and so things our kids will never understand no never understand those pones never never understand those pones but we're helicopter parents though they they're not getting out of our site anyway got a little bit of crazy crime here for it you ready I'm ready for crazy crime let's do what is with the lob and I and uh because I have a number of hockey players in my classroom I knew the answer was Lobster Pot so of course Beth went show off I like pay attention it happens every year we are influxed with all those little lobster Flags I was like I I like the I listen I guess okay show off a little but it's only because I have at least six or seven kids in my class that play hockey
