what saraphina and I were in a entrepreneurial book club where Stephanie never read the WR book and Stephanie was terrible at this book I really Su I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual just had a visual proud of it on a little more cowbell a little more cowbell this morning hey boys and girls how are you the multiple voices of Hank and Stephanie I know I was just telling Stephanie before we went on the a I have a busy day today so I have pre pre-recorded lunch break from noon to two there's at least three different versions of my voice so I'm sorry it's me the whole time in a couple of yeah there's it's fullon pollen season I like w C with like just uh I'm like oh no I have no time for this I was watching the weather on um uh Channel 4 WBZ which is a story we might want to get to later and uh think was Jacob woff was talking about um you know the sky and what you'll see in the sky and that Haze that you're going to see today it's not the clouds it's not the sun it's the pollen so awful I was like the pollen I can't remember it being this bad in Seasons I mean it's been lovely the weather has been so nice and I think we all are just like must go outside must collect all the vitamin D we don't know as new englanders if we're gonna have it tomorrow or the next day we like got to soak it in right so we've been magically absorbing our outside and with it all of the yuck that is out there right now and you know what's happening this time that usually doesn't happen that's the way to put it the rain isn't washing it away right usually this the big rainstorm you you go well okay that takes care of the pollen and it comes right back it's awful it is just darn right awful so we're not going to complain about it we all know it's there mind our sniffles and our coughs and our sneezes and our wheezes it's just going to be what the show is it's spring okay not summer quite yet so enjoy yeah right meteorological summer is here and uh it was a beautiful weekend it was it was and the farmers market was another huge success yeah it was awesome it was awesome it's quickly become everybody's favorite it's just such a supportive wonderful environment you got the kids you've got entertainment you've got Wellness you've got food you've got uh a oneman band we had uh Matt LC there this weekend and Ali Hammond popped by and we had a couple of other guest singers just you know hanging out in the tree line in our own little homemade stage yeah we're covered in curly caterpillars and Carpenter rants but damn it we had a good time it's just all part of the fun well you know what I was kind of complaining a little bit that Mas be held their graduation inside but given what happened at falmouth's graduation this weekend I'm glad we were inside I did not hear what happened apparently there was like six or seven ambulances people falling out casualties he casualties oh gee we we had heat stroke we had people that were just you know they're falling out they're like yelling during this 170 person one at a time graduation thing where people were falling out left and right and one of our friends said as soon as one ambulance left another one arrived like rapid fire of people just going down sounds like the villages right I can only imagine what the summer looks like in The Villages just keep rescue there's there's a satellite rescue there just to help Mari says hello Mariana and Megan thank you so much for watching us this morning good morning Miss Eva hey everybody how are you hey Miss Eva nice to see Eva on on Saturday I know right hadn't seen in a month or Sundays yeah it's great yeah she's been good she's been keeping a quiet little lifestyle all she does is work and she's very much enjoying her pool which is opening up uh later on in the month pool did you say an open pool yeah she got a pool she has an open pool I love going over there oh it's going to be my pit stop now because Lily's working at the melody tent doesn't have a license you see we have two pools at The Villages yeah an indoor and an outdoor the outdoor still isn't ready they still haven't put down the concrete around the pool the indoor is there's going to be a riot over at The Villages soon the indoor is now closed oh boy because they're doing some asbestos work wow pitchforks so for two weeks we're spending umpty ump and Mari you know I I always say you know Mari some old people are gonna start to complain and she looks me she goes what the hell what do you think you are um we have we pay an HOA fee y y y we can't use either unbelievable I know this is first world problems we get it yeah I know I'm sorry but but you pay for it and I'm not getting what I paid for right I'm not getting what I paid for come on do I get a discount next month there was a lot of that on social media before we get to all of that good morning Emily and yeah we need like the family siiz heavy duty Clarin in behind the counter the CVS like the one you have to show your license for that's what I need right now it's a steady stream of muse and x and a lot of hydration so we're getting there and then maybe that will work maybe I know Emily had a horrible day yesterday I'm just thinking of you and your family I know it's a lot going on especially since today is hug your cat day they had to put theirs down yesterday oh that's terrible I know I'm sorry uh I didn't know this was Hug Your Cat Day hug your cat day oh all right well the girls are apparently watching go hug go hug the kids I know I I would hug him if he allowed me to he occasionally if he feels like it it's a cat right they decide what they want when they want it when they want it they're in charge right and we're just the people that provide them the things that's right do you want this do you want this it's like a defiant child and they just look at you I don't know what the hell they're thinking but I'm not doing that and walk away right they'll just turn around and show you their butt and walk away somehow my daughter manages to get you know the cat to do things wear little hats be funny pose in photos not us no Mariana gets the cats to do things you know the cats at both houses but yeah n the rest of us can't to yeah like no no not for you we know this little human doesn't know any better we'll allow it right right they know me I feed them you're right and they tolerate me because I feed them but then they once I put the food down and then that's it I'm done they're done with me next right we're preparing this week to uh go away and uh oh my God it's just been a steady stream of disaster after disaster it's fine it'll be fine everything's fine but yesterday morning when I had to wake up at 3:00 to deliver my daughter to the airport and then I was freaking out because of the Washington Bridge but apparently it was fine right got time of the morning it is I think right dropped him off dropped my brother off down the road for my aunts because I was not about to go up into that street just wasn't having it I was like you're gonna have to walk the rest of the way goodbye get out of my car nice to see you love you bud grab your crap and get out of my car I don't want to go over there I'm not even pulling into the road rubbing your eyes makes the allergies much better shut up who said that Robert he's being a brat but there's not much I can do with it it's just itchy no yeah it is it's all you can do all you can do even the eye drops I've got I've got pretty good eye drops doesn't help I thought we were not going to complain about the weather we're not complaining sorry no because the sun is shining and we're absorbing it and accepting of that thank you very much that's right we are we're so suffering from fatigue with school with everything my son is hurrying up this week to take all of his finals and just get the heck out of there I mean honestly he's everyone's over it at this point but I mean we do have to mention the situation that is uh at mashby schools right now yeah it's a horrible story I don't know I haven't seen the video I just saw the first inkling of what is just probably one of the worst cases of bullying I've seen in a very very long time this girl is Missing um I I don't know the whole story no it start it popped up on social I think starting over the weekend yeah um and there's a very long post today yeah um about it and you know how can I put this not enough as being said that you understand what's going on but at the same time too much is being said correct you know and it's and it's like leave it to the authorities right now folks okay putting it on social isn't going to you know let the let the authorities figure this out well I'm also glad that they did because I feel like that it warrants a conversation as to what the heck is going on y obviously there is something going on a girl is missing a girl was bullied and this is all the information that we know at this time and there's a video somewhere right that that has apparently been passed around yeah I haven't even had a chance because I really honestly saw it first thing this morning and neither one of my children are awake although he should be on the bus right now we'll see if that happen uh even though I he did the hey are you up are you up I wasn't going to be like do you know this girl I didn't any sign of life when I want in here so yeah right no none either he's gone or he's still here waiting for a ride from Dad most likely uhuh um so if anybody could elaborate on that situation I would love to and also if she's missing we need to find her which is why the word needs to get out so correct right uh it's just awful I feel like it's impossible to get away from bullies well there was a situation in sandwich and all that long ago involving the baseball team where the season was suspended but no one was suspended yeah which was kind of which was kind of weird they stop you know they stopped I understand and it's no one's business sometimes what the situation is but I feel like it should be everybody's business because this is the only way we're going to learn from this or teach our children that that is wrong right well the the sandwich situation involved the baseball team so you know School authorities had a chance to get involved the incident that's on video is apparently um in in um um taken in the high school somewhere so School authorities can can get involved problem is it's hard to be brave and I'm sure there are kids who knew about this and and didn't say anything yeah you know but you can't again just just just be careful what you're putting on social let's focus on on on finding this girl and then let's there'll be more than enough time to figure out who's the blame and who needs to do what next I know yeah that's the finger pointing doesn't help like let's just find this person at this moment in time good morning Victoria hi Sandy Pam thanks for joining us on the show and Sarah a little eye ice packs that's what I need little cucumbers on my eyeballs if I had time to even rest them today today is the finale for eforall so we're gonna find out who has won the money the completion all of this cool so I'll be able to bop in over there and and say hello to my mentee and uh Ruth him on I know that uh that is happening at the Smith family beer garden this afternoon uh they had a problem somebody drove through their beer garden yes yes we were in hyenas the other night and we bed and went oh yeah that doesn't look good no no something welcome tourist that is this is the one way I was in the I was I was in the office yesterday at today real estate on kuit road and all of a sudden ambulance and fire truck and Cruiser and everything and someone had apparently driven into the overan hardware building oopsies yeah didn't look like there was any there was any damage cuz I drove by later is a gas break elderly situation I don't know there hasn't been a I haven't seen it we'll have to wait for uh the sandwich next week it's not a good beginning to Cape Cod summer without somebody plowing through the front of a storefront I mean no it's just how we roll around here Michael Anthony good morning I am very much looking forward to my Bella Luxury travel experience on Sunday by goodness and you're going to be gone for how long I don't know at this point we at this point we might have to come home early because I don't know what's happening and uh Emily had asked me yesterday she's like what are you worried about the most I'm like um everything everything excuse me folks I'm coughing I can't help it staff getting to where they need to get and people showing up on time and people you know working on I did a whole month's worth of trivia yesterday so that was a lot for my brain to to work on that yeah right I saw I saw the picture of the uh the Viva Feud oh isn't that fun that's really cool well it's actually fun it's one of our tiebreakers right now and we're working on making it a full on game show experience that we're going to be doing over at tenpin in August right and uh apparently we're getting sponsors left and right thank you very much to Sheila Oliver over at tenpin eery uh which is Ryan family amusements inside of the Cape Cod Mall uh putting this all together we're gonna have a good time with that for sure good morning Miss Megan thanks for joining us on the show I saw one of your I saw one of your big fans on on Friday who was telling me how he um W TRV a couple of times U Dr Aaron Selfridge oh awesome yes he was all excited about you know he he won and he won a tiebreaker one of the tie Breakers was you know the putting thing and and he's he plays he plays golf he's a really good golfer so that was kind of like well okay not always the case when you're under pressure like that youve never even touched this golf sit situation yeah we've also teamed up with mashby golf uh mashby mini golf is right across from the farmers market inside mashby cin it's tucked way so you really got to look for it but it's they do such great work every single year to add a new cool thing to their holes in there and uh over the last eight years which they've been in business for have really stepped it up stepped up their game this year so go for a round of putt put and tell them that we sent you we forget about it right and then we drive by it and we go oh yeah you know the next time we come back we should and then it's just you're right it's just not in a convenient place right exactly so we're we we're mentioning it they've got a few new signs out this year and you should definitely go check it out Victoria back to um the situation that's going on at mashby high school right now she said stop the finger pointing and let's learn to be more trauma informed all these kids are struggling with some battles that we just can't even imagine and the bully is also a human and you never know their story of why they are the way they are like yeah there's a lot to unpack in this situation I just really hope we find it and stop pressing these standardized test scores and all of that Victoria you've got a lot of good information and uh you are doing some awesome things for the Post um School situation that is happening um this summer and I'm really excited for your camp and what you're bringing to the mashby school systems and the mashby wreck department go see Victoria's programming mashby wreck has actually got a great offering of different sort of activities for the kids this summer keep them busy and get on there email list because seems like every week Mash perre is putting out an email with you know these are our activities and this is what's going on and it and it's pretty uhu pretty good stuff yeah I had a conversation with one of our trivia teams last night at dos and we were just talking about the kids and I think just keeping them as busy as you possibly can and just being in their space as much as you can is the best thing you can do as parents right I mean I don't know how young families with with young kids do it I mean in our situation you know little people little problems I can those problems yeah I mean in in in our situation you know Meg has me and um Mari and we have kind of a flexible work schedule and you know Mariana is scheduled to do things but you know there there are some days when it's like okay what now and you can't she's not old enough to be left home alone she's older but not old enough to be left home alone and and and what do you do you know do you leave a 12 Year a 12y old home alone all day I happen to think not but yeah well Grand parents think that kids are Rudder these days are they this is a new study and it said I worked as a school librarian in New York City for 15 years I love working with kids I appreciate young people's unvarnished communication style very nice way of putting that even with their honesty it can sting a little while once after returning from summer vacation a student looked me up and down and said you're a lot older now but one of my former colleagues in education asked that I not name her and said my grandchildren are always on their iPads they just get Rudder and Rudder I feel like you do a good job of socializing so it's not a question of get on your device and disappear into it right right ow and we keep we keep tabs on her yeah absolutely I think that that's the rudeness right there is they don't know how to communicate no because because they're like this because that's their world now yeah you know we don't they don't go out and play like we used to no you know I mean all the stories about you know certainly my generation first thing in the morning have breakfast get out the door come back when the street lights come on that's how we lived honestly that's how we lived um but can't can't do that anymore yeah you know pandemic was part of it for sure but I think think parents have become just afraid I don't know if it's afraid or they're short on time I mean parents are working if you're anything like we are and if we had little people right now we would not be able to do what we do um because we we burn the candle you know we're working two different businesses and trying to flourish in that and thankfully our kids are big enough that we were able to jump into this endeavor if we had little people no way would we have been able to do this the struggle is real and trying to engage them and be there for them for all their little things right that's a lot it's a lot it's a lot and I mean there's stuff for them to do if you can get them there yeah I know I know summer is a burden for a lot of people I know the kids are really excited to get out of school the teachers are fried but at the same time parents are just beginning this stress of what the hell am I going to do with them how am I going to feed them all summer long how am I going to keep them engaged and still maintain my regular dayto day so that we can live right especially here on the cape where moms and dads then take on second and third jobs to make ends meet because this is our season right this is our season to shine right everybody's here we got to make the money yeah the ability to work from home helps yeah as long as it doesn't get in the way of of trying to do your job if you're running around chasing your kids all the time you know because businesses are starting to kind of clamp down a little on it's okay if you work at home but we want to be sure that you're working at home yeah you know and and not just disappearing for an hour right because you're you know taking the kids somewhere and stopping at the grocery store and then you're popping back online again I oh sorry I was know think well this is why I've been finding our Sunday programming with the weather being the way it has been in just to get out to have that engagement with your family and walk around and you don't have to spend any money you can just go and let the kids run around and blow bubbles and run in the woods and listen to some good tunes and just de decompress and get off a device and just be in nature and be around people it's actually just I I found it very nice most of our vendors and people that have shown up are like this is what we've needed so I'm super excited to have that space for you to just be out there and engage in it good morning we appreciate you guys joining us so much on the show today we're trying to be positive we're trying to get SLO off the crazy right now y I did see a study that said people with more children have better relationships and their life is more meaningful H is it because you don't sweat the small stuff yeah maybe yeah maybe you just learn oh well this pack is going to do what this pack is GNA do right right oh well we're g we're gonna be okay with that yeah you don't get upset because well the last one fell and broke their arm too oh well all right well let's go to the emergency room and off you go Jackie thank you so much for coming by RTV that is a lie right but that is true with the more kids the more kids you have I mean we only had one I mean you've had two but people who um have had a number of children will will say that you know as each one comes along they do get less and less stressed about you know this that and the other thing the first one comes along oh you have to have the cloth diapers and everything else you know and with the time you get to the second and maybe the third one I was glad I was left alone with McKenzie and Myrtle Beach it was like our bonding time no like no I had no outside influence none of my five aunts and three uncles opinions it was just me and her and we were good it wasn't until I came back to Massachusetts and I'm like GH the opinions I'm gonna go to the cape I'm gonna go to the cape where I'm safe and raise my family the way it is there you go and you know what yes did some of the kids drive by our house and ask if our children were raised in the backyard were they feral yes did to be allow them to run around like little animals in the backyard you know half clothed absolutely yeah but honestly it was the best thing my German opair ever did she had potty trained our children in like two days because she was like let them be naked let them run around I'm like all right I'm not gonna fight that all right that's how you do it over in Europe that's it and we accepted that and those kids were potty trained the minute Cody was born Lily immediately was like ah I don't do diapers diapers are for babies that's okay that's good and then Cody was just naked he was the naked kid so he was potty trade real early still and one of my friends remarked at 17 like at 15 he started to wear shirts it's a big thing we started to wear shirts and now he actually cares about his appearance a little mowgly from the woods is becoming a human boy for once he's a he's going to be a good-look I mean not that he isn't a good-look kid he's going to be a good-look guy yeah he's a he's a bro yeah he's just all dude he's but he's kind he's a good one yeah I loved the fact that him and his buddy CJ which I bribed with a couple of snacks and 25 bucks did some heavy lifting and you know what this weekend I asked these kids can you pick this up can you go move this can you go do this not a sign not a moan not a whine not a complaint these kids just did the work and I I got to tell you these are good these are good kids so I don't know what we're doing this or if they're they're just better at that generation but you also understand what works for them food and money right bribes people right snack bribes it always works what's up Jane hi Tom go over to the gas station buy some snacks right you know and give them money hey Nate you got to get a hold of Hank yeah yeah Nate we got to talk we got to fill out the schedule now right I mean it's great to have a reserve of organs when you need them well that's that's an interesting way to put it listen that's what I thought about Elon Musk I honestly did I was like is he having all the CH these children so that he could Harvest their orchids like what is the plan here why I don't know breeding a greater people or something I don't know what the hell he's doing over there no he's been quiet on that front he's been really quiet lately he must be because he's losing money well you know who's making money that weird meme stock guy he's back to the GameStop nonsense and he's ratcheted it up to almost a billion dollars right now isn't that crazy and it's not illegal but it's not great for the economy no it isn't and people are going to lose money eventually I just think it's pretty incredible you know you play games it's not real stuff right yeah you even saw it on the roast of Tom Brady even gron knew me not make money me no real money if you've not seen the roast of Tom Brady I definitely suggest you do so Nikki Glazer was just Master Phill in roasting him and she's coming to the melody tent this summer really her tickets are big bucks but I mean oh I can imagine hey she has been toiling away you want to talk about someone who has been crafting their profession for years and years and years with low Fanfare and finally got thrust into this space where she is just absolutely killing it and capitalizing on it good for you yeah and not a show for the kids definitely not a kid show wow no there is a lot slinging around there no I've seen I've seen clips and I've watched some of her stuff on YouTube and it's like what what yeah right she's a little um I love it um love sex talk I don't know why and it's stuff that I'm like okay you go girl I'm all for f empowerment but also I'm still like I did 25 years of FCC radio I still get cringey when my kids say like four-letter words and I'm like I know it's a different world and people Express themselves different George Carlin Seven words you can't say on television I still I like I cringe I I'm not approved I'm not afraid of language I you by the way do you know who my screen saver is is that George Carlin that's George Carlin oh there you go that's a that's a um a Paul Zep sketch and U it's George Carlin that's a good one yeah huge fan of George Carlin oh my gosh and he died in 2008 I think and you can watch his clips now and you go yeah he's right he's right well it was always matter of fact observational stuff yeah that kind of just made sense right you'd laugh and then you'd go H the crazy thing is it still works 16 years later this is 24 right yeah so 16 years 16 years later yeah you know he's still it's still it's still making sense some of the things that he that he talks about it was cross but it was just very observational and very real right right we liked it yeah Nikki Glazer sold out already yeah because she's funny very expensive very expensive we're going to see um Bonnie R next week I think the tent is open Brantley gil Bert opened with much of fanfare I've seen so many people on social it's just exciting to have those little pieces of the cape open up right a lot of comedians this year at the tent yeah because we need it right not as many country folk we we're not country people so we haven't paid too much attention to the to the tent over the last couple of years yeah um but this year we're noticing oh a comedian a comedian a comedian yeah their booking has gotten definitely we want more comedy I mean they have to go with what people want right now and I think people just want to be entertained right and it just to laugh and you know what she's sold out their Yacht Rock shows yes their uh there's a couple of other like just you know com their ABA show sold out it's like a cult oh that ABBA thing absolutely right I went I went several times with my daughter I think my daughter's gonna be working that show she's working at the 10th this year that's cool and it was really funny so she's working with one of her teachers no she's now graduated right over the past weekend yeah she's like I don't even know what to call him do I call him Mister do I call him Timmy do I call him Tim timster Timbo yeah right like I'm now an adult what do I call you it's that awkward phase of adulthood she's in right now yeah she paid her deposit she is officially going to Salem State it's done but do you know how much money she's getting and yes oh the FSA thing finally shook finally yeah oh good Yep this was us calling calling calling did you get this did you get this and I mean yeah yeah she she's going to be able to afford it with no loans so oh that's wonderful yeah I'm excited about it that's good as long as she busts her butt this summer and she knows it she's got a dollar amount she's got to get to right and she's gonna put her nose to the grindstone so she's going to be helping do um some functions at the bed and breakfast that we work with she's going to be working over the tent she's working for us here at lemon Ado she'll be at Cape Cod beer this week she is doing music Bingo very cool yep exactly so this girl is going to be working tail off and uh I'm excited I think Salem's going to be a good spot for her yeah it's nice up there yeah she's close enough but not yeah also it's a little bit of city but a nestled in its own little safe space yes yeah and she could just hop on a train and meet us at any point so that's nice right because get do you think you're gonna see her do you think when she goes she's gone or she's going to keep coming back no she's going to want to come home well she's going to want to at least meet us mhm on the train every weekend think she's going to want yeah she'll want food connection she's one of those people okay bring she'll be like bring my cat bring my this she'll probably take her cat she's allowed to have her cat if she wants it oh really in the dorm they allow cats in the dorm if she wants it for like her emotional support and whatever the cost of that is I'm like if you want your cat you're going to have to pay for it right things are a lot different than when we went to college can't imagine cats in a dorm right oh my goodness Hey listen she's growing up well I guess I guess it's the whole emotional support thing and they can't say and they can't say no because there are so many now who dogs and cats or whatever quote unquote emotional support that it's hard to say no you know what if it helps her I'm fall for it go for it take take the cat and go please it's one less thing I have to feed around here I'm fine with it right but you know that I'll be like the cats hungry I'm hungry what are you doing this weekend looks like cliff and I are going to be spending a lot of time in the Boston area right right she has a meal plan though right yeah she does okay yeah that's included that's you know that's the bulk of the cost yes is housing in food and it's fine she needs to live on her own she needs to feel that she needs to grow up a little and do that because the weird thing about the state schools is of course the tuition is cheap yeah but it's everything else that isn't right exactly you know it's it's I don't think it's as expensive as she will want to see you a lot she needs the love yeah she does she's the snuggle monster until she makes some friends and finds a guy and yeah that's it keep up that GPA then my friend Nate he's uh offered a lot of so uh money if he uh keeps up his GPA shout out to you we've got a new uh host that is in training today Tobias from over at cap croud Community College looking forward to meeting this this gentleman he's uh he's a writer and uh he's good he's a nice kid he's not afraid of people it's really nice to see wow right wow it's really difficult the jenz generation I had my daughter over the weekend and it was really good to to connect with her again but still a little afraid of people she bopped around to the market and found the people that she knew and spent some time with them but she's like talking to people gives me anxiety y I think I think we got a wave you know so okay yeah right hi good to see you too kid good to see you ji I said that Jen's Love For Vaping could be the reason that they are aging like milk that's not good for you vaping no no it's definitely not and I know the schools have been very Vigilant in letting the kids know it's just so bad for your lungs at this point my husband was like Kenzie I'd rather you just smoke cigarettes then smoke the damn Vape none of it's good for them you know that's an interesting um case study of how you know we convinced we convinced everyone to not smoke anymore and then we all were convinced that vaping was okay and then everyone all of a sudden went oops it's not okay forget what we just convinced you you know it's very pecul green I had no idea what the stupid Vape thing was until it was way too late and out of my control with the kids my my 20s somethings yeah that like I was like why are all these USBS all over the house isn't anybody doing their work I don't realized they were smoking them right they're smoking USBS like seriously they were thoroughly convinced it was better than cigarettes I know it was one of the best marketing jobs and then we all turned around and went smell like cotton candy in here stupid all the various flavors and oh my goodness no that train left the station and I was like oh I I missed something clearly good morning Stephanie good morning Michael thanks for joining us Linda Hank it's Stephanie it's Tuesday what do you got going on on lunch break today with your three voices of Hank my three voices of Hank we are talking about things that you can do to make you feel a little bit better about your financial situation like what breathe into a bag and have a cocktail that's what I do I'm like what yeah know there are a couple of good suggestions and and and by the way as the owner of lemonade I want you to know that I that I you know made it very clear up at the top that we do not endorse these these just suggestions from this particular website I appreciate that thank you for watching out for me I wasn't born yesterday no no I had an incident yesterday on social media that I Bears a discussion it's been a while since I've gone back and forth with someone on social about something that was just very it's not even a disagreement I don't know what she's talking about okay and so like rifled it off I'm mad at you and I'm like why why are you mad at me what did I do meanwhile I don't know anything's going on I'm in my little land doing my thing right in My Trivia and I get a text message from one of my girlfriends in western Mass who is this person what are you talking about what person so what on your social media well now I'm going to look at my social media where is it what's happening how what how I offended someone today well I'm used to it but like not in this capacity so then I'm rolling through and there was a situation with a name and first of all nobody's clever lemonade has been around since I I don't know the beginning of time you put lemons in water it's lemonade I get it we've been talking about it there's nothing unique to the space um but apparently I stepped in it with with someone that had spoken from our team about a collaboration with someone with a similar name wouldn't it be fun if we collaborated together since our missions are closely aligned and our names are closely aligned well apparently we we set something off in someone so we're having a conversation about it today which I appreciated yes because she wanted to move it off of social media I appreciated that also because I'm like I don't know what you're talking about right we are legal yes I actually have a 501c3 you do not right I do not know what your organization even does I I've never heard of your organization I don't know what's happening there but I I have to be mindful I mean especially if people that have built a program have been doing a certain thing for a certain amount of time and you know we all get in our little bubbles when we're in business and we don't really look around or look up so I'm happy to have this conversation but it just got really out of control it's gonna be very interesting how this is gonna go because I'm gonna make a bet she doesn't have much of a program no no and that's what my husband was like oh that's nice CE and assist now right cuz we're trademarked and we're legal we're legal we're legal and and and and you're not right so I'm I'm like I'm happy to help you and Foster a better way for you to get legal or figure out how that is going to work for you but at the same time don't get mad at me right I didn't I didn't do anything wrong right I didn't know just because you talk to somebody who knows me who said maybe doesn't make any difference it's just really weird yeah but I as as you were talking about that I was thinking what I started to think about was all those people who say that some songwriter or some artist stole their idea right because they spoke to somebody in their Outer Circle and all of a sudden it it comes in I just started to think oh wait a minute maybe that's how that happens sometimes yeah you know somebody mentions to somebody who knows somebody else you know a title of a song and then all of a sudden five years later there a title of the song and oh my God they stole it from me right well no they really didn't they just did something with the information right like you can't get mad like I thought of that doesn't make it your idea forever no or we were talking about that one time that was my idea right but she didn't do anything about it no we all have all kinds of ideas right some of which we don't want to take responsibility for like the time that Cliff invented Snapchat that happened really did I'm not even kidding you he invented what a Snapchat he called it Snack Chat though um and it was the year was 2001 and we had just started dating uhuh and I went to Italy and I was like emailing him all of these because texting wasn't available me didn't have like phones like that so I'm finding internet cafes to communicate with my soon to be husband on as I'm traveling in Europe and I'm sending him all these photos and uh he had designed these messages to blow up after was like where's that email that you sent me he's like oh I I made it explode I'm like but what but why did you do that I don't know I'm just practicing working on some programming I'm like okay at the time he was developing gift card and loyalty programming he eventually sold his program to discover right they paid him a little bit of money and took his Mark Zuckerberg it's fine um but like like you can't just complain about it when you're just playing with something and you didn't do anything about it or further that technology that's how technology works it always Builds on other people's crap and you make it better and you make it yours eventually brand it and make a business out of it it's not Ro rocket science here we're just getting better at it so I'm sure it could have been a situation like that right but didn't make it legal and Emily wants to be a fly on the wall so I'm just very curious yes what time is that maybe we I I don't know you want to do it on zoom and we can all kind of watch inquiring minds want to know how this is going to go morning sind success Envy maybe thank you Rick I appreciate that very much what's up Ralph looking forward to having our chat I definitely want to do something with you absolutely I'd say even worse it's raw non-filtered oh cotton candy USB flavored H I don't even like the cotton candy grapes oh really oh I can't stand them I think they're delicious everybody loves them oh my God they like too sweet too sweet yeah no too sweet just doesn't just doesn't do it for me he's like the new HOSA song too sweet so good oh really I'm loving whatever pop music is out there right now it's very fluffy it's Poppy it's fluffy it makes me happy although I don't know what the deal is with the style at this point I saw somebody at my daughter's graduation that looked like a 40-year-old man he in fact looked like my dad in 1975 really it is that weird little mustache and their outfits that are like so old 80s it's not even funny I wish I had a Pencil Thin Mustache I don't know Boston Blackie kind I already live this generation and it wasn't good but these children are looking like they 40-year-old dads yes did he have a fedora too no no he did I bet he does maybe I bet he does I don't know what it is it's like that Yacht yach Rock genre they're wearing like puffy jackets like members only jackets and the mustache the hair the outfits they look so old I don't know someday you are going to be old don't don't bring it on any faster than you have to trust me hey Don thanks for joining us how's the West Coast treating you hopefully it's not as poony as it is here right now what quarter past 5 there on the west coast good morning to you it's National Hug Your Cat Day everybody it's also National cheese day yes uh I started watching some show that my husband some cheesy show well it was about um how they are studying diets and what your food does to your body so their only way they could do that is with sets of twins yeah and so one of the sets of twins is the cheese twins I don't know if you've ever heard of these guys no so each twin had to have one diet that was like meat and dairy and one was just vegetarian only so I just started the show I don't even know what the hell it is I'm just found myself in quicksand but one of the cheese twins was very upset that he couldn't have cheese because he's had cheese all of his life and he doesn't know what to do oh boy right this is what I'm reduced to this is summer television everybody was this on Discovery or on Geo or or something like that that's that's his speed that's his speed of TV watching he can't deal with the I watch there was I'm I'm a big sports fan there was nothing to watch last night yeah Red Sox weren't playing there was absolutely Celtics haven't started Thursday right Thursday there was nothing thing so it wasn't that goo I think it was Discovery but it was another one of those um you know shows where the um you know narcotics cops are you love those shows are catching people as they're coming in the country and everything right the crap people put in their suitcases my God how stupid can you be they got these two last night they had these two little old ladies who who were smuggling in pills in their pocketbooks in their big old lady pocket books that's just their monthly habit it's like oh my gosh am I going to go to jail like honey you did they did they know they were smuggling pills did they actually know that what they were doing was wrong yes oh they think we're so old we'll never go to jail I don't I don't I don't know but it was the strangest thing is that what Smugglers are doing now you're in a fixed income Nana yeah you can do this you won't get in much trouble and if you do well you're old had a good run what are they gonna do I think I I I think in the end because of their age they were given some kind of a fine and and told not to do it again and not come back into the country or whatever but um yeah it was it was Bizarro very interesting it really was yeah I I get I get so caught in those shows I guess Cliff does too you know what's gonna happen every time you know what going to happen but you watch it anyway right that's why I'm like why do you watch this crap he's the same he'll reread books it drives me crazy I'm like you already know what happens oh Mari rereads books she she rereads like Mary hegan's clock novels I why you know how it goes I don't get it John says it's very foggy no sun over there I'm sorry at least it's always warm where you are so yes you can take the mud slides and whatnot my daughter is in Southern California San Diego San Diego one of my favorite places I don't know what she's going to do for the summer she still doesn't have a summer job oops I thought she did her school year wraps up next week oh okay so she's got a week I well apparently I I don't know whether she's looking in the wrong places or has high standards at this point but I'm like you're 24 you take whatever you got to do even if you're door dashing that's what you got to do there are all kinds of great and restaurants in San Diego there that whole there's that whole Gas Light District L Gas Lamp thank you not gas light that's that's something different um yeah the whole gas some really really really cool restaurants there there's all kinds of big hotels I know she's got to be able to find something there the whole mil I mean the military is there the Navy is there I keep telling her to go it's got to be something going on with the Navy where she could find something right I think she's too busy husband hunting but that's just me well then well then sign up for the Navy you can find one there you got your Choice girl get in there or at least get on base you know they have aircraft carriers full of guys too funny but you're not wrong um so a few people leaving us on television this week Pat sjck yes his final show is Friday yep 41 years 4,000 episodes Friday is his swan song yep there's a um interview that his daughter is doing with him that you can see on social there there's clips of it oh cute and he for those of you who remember the movie Good morning Vietnam yeah um Robin Williams played the morning DJ for um the military radio station in in Vietnam during the war Adrien I forget what his last name is Pat sack was he wasn't the Adrian guy yeah but he took over that Morning Show Oh seriously like two DJs later that's funny he was the morning guy on you know Vietnam War radio in in Saigon that's too funny I did not know that I did not know that I love that we had similar similar backgrounds I wasn't in Saigon I was at Fort Gordon and Georgia but that's where I got thrown on the radio yep you sound good get out there and do the news right what what do the weather say the weather Stephanie anything say what it is sunny and hot here you know what it is you know what it is it's sunny and hot today folks and they like your voice come on back tomorrow tomorrow sunny and hot tomorrow sunny and hot okay that was the weather girl H how did you describe your voice when Scotch and Soda that's it Scotch and Soda they wanted it poor Lily's got the same voice in a teeny tiny little body so and she's Sayang the national anthem at graduation she did she sang the national at graduation she also sang slipping through my fingers which I balded like a baby at slipping through my fingers I know that oh okay oh my god did you know she was do this uh she did but she was like you're GNA cry I'm singing a graduation you're gonna cry oh my goodness my children's favorite pastime is to watch me cry and bl on whether it's a movie that is just so dumb or whatever part if it's emotional I am a mess my aunt turned around and she just hand me her tissues because you know my aunt is that woman that always has tissues in her purse tissues gum and a hair brush like this is my aunt always comes equipped no matter where we are plastic bags as well absolutely okay um and then my son just kept looking back chuckling chuckling what are you looking at why are you looking at me my husband's like nothing's even happened yet you're crying I'm like I know but it's my baby I'm a movie crier I'm an emotional crier if I feel People's Energy I cry like if you come to me in Europe up said I'm crying with you I'm just one of those people I very much feel your energy and maybe this is why I've always been good at my job but I feel the intensity of it and I don't know what to do spill out somewhere Mari makes people cry oh we go to this is really bad we go to wakes rotten thing no no no we go to wakes and and you get up in the line and no one is crying and Mari goes up to them and starts to tell them how sorry she is and people start to cry it's the dangerous thing because you feel their energy Mari that's why that's know pain that's right she immediately connects with them which is why she's so successful with what she does but she immediately connects with them yeah and all of a sudden these people are blubbering and they're hugging her and I'm standing there're going I didn't do it really I didn't do it I'm just I just drove her that's all Lauren says I feel the same way too that's why I take medication probably I'm out here raw doging life people it is I do not recommend this no my daughter you're not on anything I'm like no nothing just me you think you should be M me probably that's a whole show HEK that a whole show all right we'll save it right I'm just over here living my life what are we gonna do and then Kate Marl left you called it last week or the week before that yep where you're like I don't know something's off you know usually when she's away there are like specific things that she's away she'll be back and then they filled her space and con of was like not a filling I nope nope Kate Merill who's been at WBZ TV in Boston for 20 years apparently up and quit last week I gotta tell you the media is not um a space that I would recommend anybody wanting to get into at this point in time no there's been all kinds of if you watch WBZ and TV there's been all kinds of upheaval over the last year or less with people coming and going the weather guy who was really popular he got let go by mutual agreement and then Liam Martin who was the um the coaker he he just decided he couldn't take it anymore yeah there's a lot of pressure it's right now right now right now I need it I don't care how you feel we have to get this on this is news it's happening right now right now right now right and that's that hurry up like anxiety that you have I I've lived it for 25 years it's awful right and you don't even know you're feeling it to you're like oh my God I'm dead inside what's happening right right and and Kate Merill who's been kind of like the mother figure on the morning news like for forever she's been kind of off and on and on vacation and then they're not saying where she is and whoever's been sitting in her chair as they in for Kade Marill yeah and then it just stopped and they someone I think it was the heral contacted beey and finally they said you know karill decided to leave uh WBZ you know we appreciate the support of our viewers or something and it's like okay there's something wrong here this will be the third um on air person in the morning news in less than a year that has left well that's not that's not good for ratings and we're also getting our information from Divergent places right so people are formulating their own opinions and doing their own investigation as to the information that they want to ingest so in there lies the problem you're not having the the advertising dollars to pay the salaries to treat their people right and the company cultures are lessening it's just not it's not a good space I know my brother is supremely stressed um supremely overworked and uh he's got it coming at him from all sides and he's like I really I I'd like to not be in news yeah much longer I'm like get it's a lot it's it's really it's it's it's really a lot big mounting pressure it's stressful yeah the ratings and it's justff lack of pay and nobody gives a crap about you it's not great right right and you've been getting up at two o'clock in the morning to do the morning newsance who knows when y exactly you know it's it's hard her husband um Mike Dunham is a goal's coach for the Boston Bruins oh and he has been for for a very long time so maybe they both just decided you know what enough is a she's unhappy and maybe they just said okay you don't have to do it anymore change a life situation and it's good for a shake up for everybody right right but s to see her go because because I really enjoyed her and I know a lot of people enjoyed her um so weird weird things well you know from being in the media you shouldn't be here today and gone tomorrow yep exactly you know no not me though I'm not having it you want me to go away I'm a bad penny I'm staying no no this is why see see folks this is why she owns this she ain't going Tak this away she ain't going nowhere I'll leave if I walk to that's that you know whose attitude is like that also who I love is Miley Cyrus she has I feel lived so many lives in her young life and has been thrust upon just here you know you're a show Pony get to work and she's managed to make it work for her her entire career and I don't know whether that's because she had Dolly Parton as such an influence in her life as her godmother as a nice presence as someone that's grounded her in regular life not the media cuz her dad sure on a whole lot she was in a whole lot disaster no um and it just growing up in a famous family I'm sure that there is a lot to go along with that but uh she still cracks me up and makes me laugh because she tries to be salt of the earth but she's not no she's like I'm gonna start working out in heels at the regular gym because I'm gonna bring back feminism I'm like what what what are you talking about I don't know what you're saying and I'm like all the power to you if you want to go work out at high heels but I wouldn't wear those sitting down maybe it's cuz I have bad boot feet who knows but it's just not ever gonna happen for me like that but if you want to wear high heels and you know you're maybe it's because she weighs 70 pounds that's how she could just work out at heels not for me but girl you do you get at it I'm sure there's some gym somewhere you can do that well no one's telling Miley Cyrus no if she wants to go walk on the dam while she's in heels no one's going to say anything people are people are commenting there's a lot of um controversy in the WNBA about Caitlyn Clark and she's get well she's getting kind of roughed up yeah and but they were showing her walking into a um um walking into an arena somewhere and she's all dressed up and she's wearing heels and she's walking very uncomfortably and all the commentary is when was the last time she wore heels probably never right you know she she's just not that kind of person but they've got her she have to wear them well they they had her all dressed up in this matching outfit and healed and she just look really silly yeah because it's I don't I don't think it's who she is I think somebody's trying to Market her now and it just just let her wear what she wants I know let her play ball let let the girl live uh yeah Lauren I really appreciate it people are finally starting to stand up for their own selfworth at this point in time and I think that that's just a good space to be in what's up Michael it was so nice to run into you and Vanna Vanna pachella is going to be playing one of our markets coming up soon I think it's our first pop party it's the power of produce where uh kids can come get signed up and they get a little token they can go pick out a fruit or a vegetable worth up to $3 just to try something new and uh that'll be starting on the 23rd we have pop parties where we'll have she's saying pop pop p o p power of produce not p o t folks okay no no we're having pot Pary starting a couple of Sundays hey bring the kids down from the one who that be good for moms from the one who sent a spent a summer sampling oh my God that was two summers ago I'll never let it that was two summers ago now right oh my it was all lined up like right here Y and you were just sampling and and getting Ubers that was a long summer but a one but a wonderful thing you did for Humanity right I took one for the team everybody oh my gosh yeah we got to thank all of our people that put things together I got to thank my hosts right now they've been working over time uh trying to get organized trying to get everything in order for us to be able to go away we've got a conference in Dublin that is coming up this week yeah where my husband's going to be learning some new technology and I'm going to be learning the new technology along with him so that I can tell people what it is he does sometimes that bears some explaining and uh he's just like oh you know but if I'm in the room with him I can be like oh this is what you have to say when you are selling this particular product right or telling people that they need this because of this right he sometimes doesn't know how to speak in people terms so I'm here for the rescue my mother-in-law is leaving the country for the first time wow and she is going to be watching two teenagers in a foreign country she's a very nice lady by the way your mother-in-law she's interesting I absolutely love her to Pieces Grandma of the year over there Miss Mary and uh she's like well she's all worried about her suitcase I'm like Mom you're you're with us right you're gonna be fine we'll help you pack this week right don't stress out about it right she's one of those people that needs to know the whole way step of the through and I'm just like just get in you're with us right just throw your stuff in the suitcase and we'll figure out we get there we don't even have reservations at the rest of our vacation we have no idea what the hell it is we're doing in Europe we are flying by the seat of our pants your wife would be breathing into a bag right now she would be AB mother-in-law is
