that's pretty cool say hello Tom hello Tom our camera's there oh there it is I like looking at you so yep oh it's Quahog Republic Day here at knock about and uh you guys are all set up outside yes chat to me about this amazing brand this Lifestyle brand that I it started before mash the island started in 2008 the co-op Republic was born on National Island um so good yeah that restaurant out there that was a wonderful spot it really was great water yeah you know it's fun to reminisce and it's sad to think about sometimes but you know onward and upward and uh but that's where it started to live give relax Koga public lifestyle and um after um we left Mash in the island we opened up our um small restaurant The Dive Bar in Falmouth yeah to uh portray that live give relax lifestyle um moved on to Onset uh New Bedford and most recently the Lee Side Pub in Woods Hole all right you keep talking I'm gonna fix our camera because I don't know what froze over there but we're not very cute the way we froze so I need to fix that talk to people about um some of the things that the Quahog has been working on you got like I said we just opened the Lee side uh Pub in Woods Hole uh to expand the brand um but beyond the restaurants we're selling our Margarita and more mix Bloody Mary mix chowder bisque and so forth and that's part of the reason we're here at knockabout today we're approaching at 200 stores on kippenoff and uh having fun doing it selling our uh Republic taste the Lifestyle brand all right well it wasn't Eric so we're here at knock about their uh kind enough to sell our code Republic chowder here for uh for a soup and we're doing some samplings here today as well and more than that I'm sipping which you can't see on the camera because it's not working right now we are uh Margarita hard Seltzer which they manufacture here at the Naco belt Brewery and it is easy drinking four percent alcohol and uh Goes Down Smooth real smooth like yeah I'm working on it the studio audience is like it's not on back now let's see how long this battery lasts for okay also I am not my regular self because I had Rock for hit all weekend so congratulations on that well you know we had a few friends in it and it was a lot of fun for the camaraderie in it and especially whenever mode Cheeks is involved in any events you never know what you're gonna get we had an outfit change pretty much every pit stop I saw him with his uh Uncle Sam outfit on yeah somebody else dressed up as him in an Uncle Sam outfit and like the whole crazy hair wig and everything and I don't think he was prepared for it so I'm like man that's awesome it was the second to last leg of the race and all of a sudden I looked over and I was like why are there two bow cheeks there could only be one there is only one we are a supporter of uh The Rock and well thank you so much for being part of it because I mean your prior service thank you so much thank you you know we we as prior service members there was a super high-speed Coast Guard team this year oh yeah and I didn't realize they were the actual ones that are the rescue team for the Coast Guard so I would be remiss to not mention the fact that they beat the bag out of all of us idiots they were done at 7 00 a.m yesterday you guys stay in shape don't they yeah I couldn't believe how fast that team crushed it this year we had 11 teams competing this year and I was really nervous because it was not only Cinco de Mayo but Kentucky Derby we've got people driving around the cape maybe after imbibing and I was like and we're running in the in the dark in the night with backpacks on I mean towards the end of it I mean we're just gross and tired and you can't tell where you're going but the support team and the group of volunteers involved are magical so Nicole Spencer once again he put on a fabulous race you made sure everyone was safe no one was really injured uh which was really nice last year we had a massive injury right to kick off the race so I'm really glad this year no injuries everybody was where they were supposed to be and it all just came out wonderfully so good to hear you that's great yeah and it is nice to have something that ends in Mashpee it's our town and I like having these things yeah exactly so it looks like our camera is frozen once again so this is the thing that we have to do I don't know we are just not meant to be today Tom what I do want to make mention of oh Lenore bavada I missed a conversation I spent childhood vacations there with my family rented a little cottage swim Clambake Bunny Hop Kitty movies loved mash the islands and yes yes it was an amazing race thanks Jeanette Jeanette loved it too so talk to me about where you can get all you've got the new Lee side that just opened Lee Side Pub and uh yeah what's all yep you guys are constantly reimagining yourselves this next move but uh we said let's go for it we have the opportunity to be able to move into to that spot down there right by the ferry terminal and uh like we got to give it a shot yeah one of our other partners Shelly's working down there right now so thank God for a wonderful uh staff and team you really do have an amazing we wouldn't have done it if we didn't have great people that work yeah I mean I feel like that that's the Crux of business right here on the cape right now especially in the spring as everybody's trying to get their stuff ready and you guys are here year round making it happen which is incredible any business on Cape obviously one would need to know is very difficult it's everything's very seasonal and yeah you just kind of make it in a couple months and kind of do the best you can in the off season and keep on keeping at it and that's part of the reason why we try to transition into that our uh selling wholesale Goods Bloody Marys and mixers uh stuff that we sell out of restaurants on a wholesale level and uh trying to make a go of that right now too on and off Cape so yeah make sure you're looking for Quahog Republic products and all the stores make sure you're supporting a fabulous business that supports local Cape cotters you employ so many people you do so many things you volunteer at so many things including work for hits and all the amazing other opportunities you're right there and also I just want to mention that we give a portion to the Cape Cod commercial Fisherman's Alliance Madison Chatham off of all of our products as well so it is so important keep it within the community and uh we love doing it well we're gonna
