Sandra and Peter on the upcoming blitz build September 23rd

proud of it hello and good morning it is Wednesday here on the cape and it is first day back to school whoop whoop shout out to all of our parents out there that are saying goodbye my son had no idea when time the bus was happening he was actually up nice and early so I was excited about that but he leaves in uh 10 minutes for his sophomore year of high school got a daughter off to college this weekend my house is utter chaos and I've got the builders no I just love the hats they're great Sandra and Peter are joining us here from habitat Cape Cod thank you both for coming in oh you're welcome thank you poor Peter is like what's happening here like whoa so maybe introduce yourself Peter I know you're the chairman you're the past president of the homeb Builders Association I mean you're finding yourself volunteering You're Building you're working you've got 14 jobs totally yeah thank you for having us today um yes as you said I'm the uh chairman of the board for habitat and uh very active with the Home Builders Association um super excited to be talking about the blitz build today yeah um upcoming in September um build a house for a family in a week um it's a pretty exciting uh can you talk about the logistics of getting this done in a week and how many people that you have to be like okay team assemble right sure yeah it's uh we we typically start uh very early on a Monday morning um the foundation's already there so we have a we don't have to worry about that too much um but we're going you know from there up um typically you know day one um we go from Foundation to having a full house um and sort of proceed through the the building and finishing process throughout the week uh and getting everything done by the uh like midday Friday yeah so um which is insane to me that you can build a house in five days like that I mean how many people does that take uh we can have anywhere from you know 50 to 100 people on site actually building every day so it's uh is it an all day process like all right this team is in this team out out yeah it's you know the the schedule is very similar to a regular house build we just make it all happen very quickly so s Cindy says hi Sandra it's my new friend from habitat hi Cindy so um to jump in here um so I met Cindy was joining um us I think the past few times when we were on alono and um last week actually met Cindy in person at the um Boston Design guide cap and Islands uh annual um celebration partying so it's great to me Sydney in person but also um thank you so much to ausome design guide um and call Lisa elquist who's the asstive publisher of Capen Islands design guide um they um made habitat Forman of Cape Cod the charity beneficiary for the event amazing so um thank you so much we appreciate it um and we loved all the conversations we had um in the with the building community so that was huge um and then so the blitz build is a partnership um between habitat formania of Cap Cod and the home builders REM model Association of Cap Cod and um we so H Brock um every two years they donate entire house like they do all the planning um which is like a year plus to just get to the point oh yeah you have um they donate all the labor professional labor they donate all the materials and supplies to make that one house in one week uh for one family and it's each Brock and you know it's members and Associates so huge thank you to everyone involved in Home Builders Association we greatly appreciate it it's a huge uh wonderful Act of um kindness and generosity and addressing the need to build more affordable homes on K Cod for our local families yeah it's absolutely incredible I've worked with the homebuilders association on a couple of things uh in my past radio life but maybe you can talk a little bit more about what the the association does yeah the home build Association uh mission is um you know it's a place for all people in the Building Trades to come together um certainly advocates for um education within the industry um we're um play a role in um reviewing regulations that are coming up and try to you know try to manip not manipulate but um you know have have a seat at the table in that those discussions um and are most builders on Cape Cod and the association I want to say not most okay um most of the significant Builders okay are for sure and um you know a lot of the sub trades uh material suppliers Etc it makes sense that you would band together to support each other also like when materials are tough or labor is tough or what do you do about this problem or I mean it it makes sense that you would want to be together yeah absolutely the you know a key thing that um the association played a critical role in was you know obviously the you know the covid situation and the potential for stopping all work we were able to work with the state um regulators and navigate way for the you know the association me not just the members but the industry in general to continue to be able to operate build homes which turned out to be a good thing because it was you know a huge growth spurt for building everywhere Nationwide right people are like sitting around the house going what do we need to fix yeah exact all of the things yeah yeah so we you know we got to fix a lot of things that if uh if they had said no work then none of that would have happened yeah yeah so you've got this greatest Association that donates pretty much every other year from Soup To Nuts everything for the house which is just incredible I see um the the plans over here is this a specific Blitz build plan yeah yeah we'll put it up on the oh my gosh camera I know right look at this you can see it so um yeah this is a new uh it's a new Road in in Dennis uh behind the senior center um uh we got the road in over the last year um has four homes on the site the blitz build will be one of those homes it's a small small Cape cute little house oh my gosh so can you imagine like here you go here's your home somebody gets to have that thing be theirs like oh my gosh even even more exciting is we don't know who the homeowner is so you've been doing this now for six years maybe you can talk about the the past few years and how this has become this this is a national it started National Al right yeah there's a National Partnership between uh nahb the national home builders and habitat International um they you know it doesn't happen in every everywhere but um you know at some point Nationwide there are Blitz builds going on throughout the year um six not six years ago 12 years ago now we uh you know we picked up on that or the habitat people did they came to the home Builders Association asked us if we would be willing to participate in that y um the Cape Cod version of this is a bit unique a lot of places they'll have a major developer that I'm not surprised by that I feel like Cape Cod is always unique in our own space we're like we don't do it that way we do it our way right right well we're you know we're a community of small Builders and um you know no one Builder probably could take on this task to pretty heavy right it's a big ask y yeah um so by collaborating uh with all the Builder members um and suppliers were able to you know sort of join forces and and make the whole thing happen which is really exciting Dave hegner just said I was just there on Monday good morning Dave hey M thanks for joining us on the show we've got habitat for Cape Cod here Peter and also Sandra is back once again to talk about all of the things that are going on with habitat but more importantly this blitz build and so you've assembled all of the team you've assembled all of the pieces someone is going to in fact live in that beautiful home that we just showed you the photo of and they don't even know right they don't even know yeah the uh habitat's been soliciting um applications for the homeowners um you know to sort of underscore the need for housing here I think we had something around 50 applicants yeah I was going to say I don't even know if you need to underscore that bad applications the deadline ended in May and then our volunteers have been reviewing them we have um Banks um two wonderful local banks that um actually multiple um local banks that have been reviewing them um Sean Bank The Cooperative Bank of kod which um I had mentioned last time both banks have created product that um is similar to what the USDA had off thir habitat so um when these future home owners get their mortgages they're going to be you know local the um time to process the mortgage closings is much faster than the USDA USDA but so right now um potential perspective applicants um if they've moved throughout the process sorry well there's so much going on yeah so first of all you know anyone who like apply you can apply no matter what like anyone is welcome to apply where um you know for housing lender and applicants um you know may need to make less than 60 or less than 80% of the barnville County area median income they need to have a need so the need they would write an essay um you know it could be subpar living conditions it could be they're bunked up in a you know a house with other family they could be homeless they could be another part of another housing program um and then they have to you know fill out this application that can be very daunting it can be paper or digital typically it's about 120 Pages because it's essentially a pre-approval for an affordable mortgage so references pay stups Etc so if an applicant um has been cleared as far as our volunteers reviewing the information they'll move into the um review stage by the bank to verify our numbers and if they're still qualified they're going to move into another bracket which just concluded last week of um you know applicants getting interviewed by a team of volunteers that um you know they're you know verifying they are who they say they are and they're also explaining The Sweat Equity portion of um you know in of the home ownership program where each adult in the household has to do 250 hours of Sweat Equity so you know that is essentially one day a week on top of you know the future homeown are managing their life their job their kids Etc so it's a huge investment on their end but it puts skin in the game yeah definitely and then if once they're moved past the interviewing stage then they get to the lottery and that is happening at the end of this month that's so um you know that's a really exciting so we're we're at the kind of the end round of these applications and what's unique about this um time around versus last year is you know applicants could apply for you know the dentist build which is four homes on Jack Delan lane or or and or um the four homes that will be on Old keks Highway and well Fleet so applicants had the opportunity to apply for you know both locations or just one of them so um they're about they're well over like 120 application 150 if you look at people applying for both locations but really was about 80 applicants yeah um feeling you know that obligation which I mean that's that's a nice Lottery to be in right there it's better odds than a scratch ticket we're letting you know that right now and you know at the so the build a traditional build not a blitz build takes about 10 12 months to build and at the end of you know that time frame they are formally applying for the affordable mortgage um so I mean there you know it's not a free home you know they will have a mortgage they put their spat equity in um you know they don't these homes don't they cost money to build so 350,000 plus the cost of the land so that there's a lot of things that go into it it and um so this blitz build um future home one or whoever that is um you know it's a little different because they will I mean their house is built in one week yeah so they're good morning Ryan good morning Hank thanks for joining us talking about the blitz build um they will have a different kind of agreement with us to get that SW Equity done um so yeah Peter do you have anything else to say about that yeah the um past um Blitz homeowners have had a lot more certainly a lot more notice and they've had uh frequently had time to get their Sweat Equity hours in um so what you know we want we want to get the house done get them in there yeah um habitat will typically do a rental agreement with the homeowner so they can actually move in fairly quickly um and then they have the obligation to still meet all the requirements at all the other uh habitat homeowners would have to achieve so well I know when Sandra was just explaining the process it seemed a little daunting maybe a little scary and I want you to know that that's not scary there are people with you every step of this way making sure that you're able to fill this out you know what you're filling out you're doing the right things along the way and I think it's also important to show how much that you're with there from start to finish to set them up for success to keep this house stay in this house and really change their life I think it's really important to talk about yes this process seems long and daunting but also you're learning new ways to be able to sustain this house for yourself and be able to move right in and have things work seamlessly hopefully so yeah I mean there's definitely um volunteers and staff and commers along the way I mean when we have an application period so hopefully at some point next year we'll have um application period or periods um you know when those open Maryann Mills lter who's the Family Programs manager in our office she holds workshops throughout the community um we have a team of volunteers that will you know if you need to meet with them um you know if you have questions I mean they're there to answer that and then as the applications are submitted you know they're reviewing it there's never a such thing as a perfect application there's always something that my me miss or needs further explanation so that's why volunteers are they're so detailed oriented they're combing through the process of everything and they're reaching out to the um prospective applicants and everything good morning Michelle Ryan has a quick question he said he would love Habitat to consider building on distressed home locations instead of taking away open space other areas do this why don't we do this on the cape so great question um two things so um our model right now is f focus on new construction because there is land right now um however that could change further down on the line uh there are so our affiliate so habitat Forman of kod is from Born To provinc toown Each affiliate you know has its own inity it's runs differently so you have the habitat forun brand but there's all these Affiliates across the world so in Massachusetts alone There are 16 Affiliates we are the largest producing building affiliate okay um there are Affiliates that are only focused on rehab projects but they don't have the land they don't they don't have that opport Unity um and we are incredibly grateful to have the opportunity for land owners and working with towns to use um to reply for our community preservation act funds so we have that opportunity now Peter if you want to speak more sure yeah the you know it's something that we have considered over the years to to actually go look at some Home Remodeling for Habitat homes um that you know there's a lot of challenges there we have volunteer Builders um that are typically doing most of the work um and you know there's some safety concerns uh also you know the new homes that we are building are you know better constructed um super energy efficient um very lowcost of ownership uh type buildings and um you know as Sandra said you know the affiliate's been super aggressive and lucky about getting new property and areas to develop um it's it's a very small drop in the bucket compared to the overall housing stock and Market um and you know we feel and probably will continue to feel this way for quite a few years that that new homes are the better way to go um for just more efficient in general absolutely yeah yeah and I and I know that for my husband who works in it and he's always like H I don't want to fix somebody else's mess because there's so much liability there so I do understand in the scope of things where you're fixing problems and trying to fix something that's already broken is very very difficult especially with teams of volunteers so I do understand that so yeah in general I me I hope that answers a listener's question yeah no but I mean Focus yeah for sure I mean it is addressed um and it's not now maybe in the future when we have no more land now we have to rehab the things that we have gon to have to happen that way eventually and speaking of land so in Brewster um the two homes on Phoebe way which they are almost complete um their home dedication ceremony will be on October 19th it's a Saturday at 9:30 um more to come on that um but the way we got that land was Beth Finch who's the land owner which is going to be there next to our neighbor she wasn't using all of her land so you know it's you know land owners out there if if you're not using your land you can see if it's possible to subdivide your lot so in best case she wants to keep local families on Cape that are essential so you know one of the families the homeowner will be you know she's a Cape Cod Hospital nurse in the pedi pediatric unit sorry and the um the other household one's a labor and a landscaper and his wife's a par educator a par professional educator in the public school system so these are all people necessary to keep the live keep our youth educated keep everyone healthy um so Beth really wants to keep everyone there and she wanted to pay it forward and impact her community and Beth land runs up to conservation it's beautiful and she wasn't using all land so she came to us she subdivided her land and Don to lots of land to us to make Phoebe way possible so I mean it's you know think of it I mean there's so many people that have so much land and you know are you using it no well you know maybe talk to us yeah and see if that's possible I mean it's a finite situation everybody eventually we got other big problems but right now thank you for your land and we appreciate you Helen Michelle thank you so much for joining us on the show this morning I've got Sandra and Peter here from habitat Cape Cod uh Peter uh also former president of the homeowners association Home Builders Association of kod and you're chairman of this blitz build you're in charge of this yeah I'm one of the I'm one of of the blitz team leaders basically um this is you as we said this is going to be the sixth time we've done it we've got it I think we've got the process fairly well dialed we always have there's always right chaos like what are we not plann for so um but we typically will start uh the planning process about a year in advance um some of that just to you know to recruit the team for the build for the year um and then and also get into uh early donations with a lot of the material suppliers their budgets I was curious how do you Source the materials for this their budgets are set you know the year ahead of time you know for donations it's pretty typical um we have great uh support from uh vendors like Shepley wood products midc Cape Home Centers um we have such wonderful people here on the C I mean shout out once again to all of not just the builders but the humans that live here are so wonderful you're volunteer yeah everybody is super generous you know with their money and their and their time really it's this is a huge uh time commitment what would you say for donated materials versus funds that you have raised to get a a house out what does that look like we we don't actually raise any money for this it's all it's all donations for the blitz for the blitz yeah H habitat obviously is um putting out some money for you know the roads and the the infrastructure because that's a lot that people don't talk about you just talk about the build and get somebody in there but all the how about how do you get there right yeah yeah you know is there gas is there electricity there how do you get that all of these things are you know years anding typically um you know the the Paul hush way I think has been probably three years since we you know since we actually thought about getting the land MH to to today and it'll be another year really before the other houses are complete yeah it's a pretty long process we have to have a deep pipeline for all of that um so yeah Jack Del yes sorry Paul hway um was two BL they all mixed together where you know we've built nearly 200 homes so it it's pretty incredible and one in every town which I love I love the fact that you're dressing fully Cape Cod from Bor to Province Town like you said and everywhere in between I think every single space needs needs people that has have homes absolutely so yeah the and then the blitz uh itself um we have uh one volunteer that um we typically assign to be the project leader for the week um this year that's Andrew Philbrook from Dennis uh is he psyched about it or he's like guys come on I don't know if he's psyched or panic yeah so like because that's a lot of responsibility yeah very much so we've we've got a you know we're giving him a lot of support um you know but I wanted to give him a shout out um and then um we have I don't know probably uh you know Allin there's a hundred companies and and probably incredible five or six hundred people throughout the week that are participating in this so it's a you know it's a great uh community thing that we get to do um everybody that's there you you would think that during the week it's just it you know it's sort of organized chaos um but you know everybody on site is typically super happy to be there who's the coordinator for all of this uh so the blitz project team um that's you know part of the committee is very active in the build you would have to be yeah we usually have you know two or three people on site every day that are sort of minding what's going on there to answer questions facilitate problems it's uh how many volunteers normally for a home how many like how many people really touch these homes would you say um probably five or six hundred people throughout the week y I mean they always need volunteers I think that this is a good place to start if you are thinking about volunteering for Habitat cap so the habitat the the blitz build is professional labor so as all the members Associates of the um home owners um the professionals do the job sorry ass different Association if you're not part of HB we are looking for volunteers to help on the hospitality side throughout the week there's gonna be three shifts throughout the day um and that's you're essentially like a greeter you're checking people in you're making sure they have a t-shirt you know there's name tags Etc so you know we still want people to help out and if you're interested in that snacks cheerleader right you can you know email me Sandra sandh habitat.org and then you know we can get you on the schedule to help with registration and and Hospitality um but the cool thing about the home builders um bloodz build is you'll see a competitor working right next to a competitor seamlessly together to get the job done you'll see you know different trades don't always like work together and they're like Plumbing electrical and all that it's all coming together um I do have to shout out um bide electrical contractors they're doing all the electrical work and um what else are they doing um Kelsey um has been you know managing that the labor the materials the vendors for all the electrical so thank you Bayside definitely yeah yeah they've been part of the uh planning team as well so um it's great to have them on board good morning Miss Lauren thanks for it's chaos and you know high stress but it's not they're all calm cool calm cool Collective like Peter Andrew Philbrook of Philbrook um Construction Services Peter works for um duffney Builders um another um individual that's you know heavily involved is Gaya roor um she is the founder of benefact 4 um you know we have Anton from White W white wood kitchens there's so many people to name well miss there's just so many vendors hundreds of vendors really yeah yeah it's hard to you know it's hard to name everybody well yeah because it's not just four walls in a roof there's more that goes into a house than this that poster board is full when we're done with uh with all of the volunteers and donors it's amazing and then cam appliances as you know they donate the heart of the home so five energy efficient brand new appliances they are also involved and helping us their um one of the days they're they're bringing out their girl and cooking you know they all the appliances feed these people so thank you thank you Chim appliances um thank you everyone really involved because it's it's just huge um to see everyone come together to build one home for one family what else about the blitz build that you want people to know that you don't think that we've talked about yet um uh uh the dedication ceremony for the blitz build will be on September 27th on that's a Friday time TBD so check our social check hbox social when it gets down to that yeah that's a good place to start is just to follow you on social media because I feel like there's so many moving Parts all of the time and once again when it takes four years to build a house obviously they got to do other stuff in between uh now you found yourself very busy doing a million and five other things so you're fine yeah there are uh there are videos of the past Blitz builds online I think you can find them through the home builder website or through habitat's website and um Andor the um Blitz build Cape Cod has a Facebook page and some other social media so um it's kind of cool to watch because uh it's a short you know five minute time lapse and it's gives you does make it look just so easy it's like oh that's just so easy it just went up like oh I could build a house I watched it on YouTube right yeah it's an instructional instructional video for how to build a house in five days that's awesome Lou Trish thanks for joining us on the show we're talking about habitat splits builds that's about to happen we showed the photo of it but uh just in case you haven't been able to see it there she is so this is uh yeah a little graphic of the the site and the and some uh renderings of what the home will look like so three bedom three bedroom Cape incredible absolutely we've built uh I think we've done three of these so far that that same house on other locations so Jack Delany Lane is about to have a new family living in it that's really exciting yes and then come November we'll be raising those three balls for the other homes and they will take about a 10 months to 12 months uh to build so there will be four um households families that will be living at jaini lean it's great location right behind the Dennis Senor Center on Route 134 off of satet um and another thing is we always like to remind people is you know the homes that Hab C builds I mean these homes are deeded to remain affordable in perity so um you know they can't be flipped they can be resold definitely um the homeowner will get some Equity but um you know it has to go back in the affordable housing pool so um that's really important um because you know life people lives change absolutely but you know majority of our homeowners are still in their homes so um you know the the opportunity they have is you know when they have when they've closed on their mortgage they can take their promotion they can take their first vacation make more money where if they were in other housing programs that are rental situations if they took a promotion they might lose their housing they might have to pay more they might have to be more in daycare so this really opens up the doors for um homeowners because they can you know have a totally different life than what they currently have right now so how do people get involved you can uh well so get your hard hat on and get to work don't Kidd um so you can visit habitat.org um there's a volunteering tab you can learn more um has my information on it um you know if you're you know you don't have to like be you know good with a hammer you don't even have to know how to hold a hammer um we'll teach you the necessary skills it's not just construction we have um volunteering roles at the restore and U miscellaneous roles and with our office team um so there's really something for everyone you can be experienced that's fine um let Te You the habitat way and standard but we'll also um we're open to everyone um you know we have people who are doing a data entry which um that's on the not many opportunities there but then we have people helping out events like the ride for homes um so speaking of the ride for homes it's coming up coming up um Sunday September 15th at axic Trading Post in Bourne um it's a ride so writers can choose 12 20 or 40 miles um from I like the barbecue portion at the end absolutely so um yeah so writers Walkers and Runners um it's a fun barbecue it's laidback it's no stress we don't time you we don't record your results so don't have to you know be stressed about that um it's a really relaxing time family oriented but um writers um you know they have those three routes Walkers and Runners can choose whatever they want along the canal we have signs up um the minimum fundraising is 300 um dollars um but out of that $395 a registration fee so it's really you don't have to raise only $25 more you could pay entirely yourself or could ask people to help you along the way to um fund raise we have someone right now that's um doing the 40 mile rad he is close to I think 9,800 or 10,000 um that he's raised this year incred um and he's a repeat writer um you know these funds are necessary for us to build more on Cape with local families um definitely well Trish was wondering and Trish we did talk about saving some of the smaller homes and why we haven't done that she said she would love a small home and what about housing for seniors I feel like you're trying to address the most amount of things you can do with what you have yeah so we um when anyone is open to applying so we have young families we have single individuals we have um those that are older um you know seniors seniors is like you know Wise you know why wisdom feel wisdom you know anyone can ad it doesn't matter what and we traditionally focus on um multiple bedroom homes however in the past there have been some single bedrooms um but our focus is on families um however anyone's open to apply yeah these houses are fairly small to begin with you know the biggest house we build might be 1,00 square fet pretty typical that they're around 900 to a th000 square feet one two three bedroom houses um I think you do actually have to be a first time home buyer so yeah there's some you know so a lot of seniors don't qualify that makes sense you know not that there aren't people that haven't ever bought a home yeah trust me we got big problems here as far as housing goes so yeah yeah to that actually so there is something um that Maryanne knows last would know more so she's Our Family Programs manager you can up to her but um I think there's also if you haven't had a conventional mortgage in over three years there's some sort of kind of way yeah and there's eligibility requirements online too so um it's complicated it's it's a little complicated but there are people to help you absolutely yes important get involved Any Which Way You Can we love having habitat on we really really appreciate the work that all of the volunteers do from Soup To Nuts I'm telling you 500 people for a house I they always need people they always need funds and they always need resources so if you can assist with any of those even shopping the restore helps them yeah and so the restore anything sold there you know sales go back to us to build more homes we have two restores one in South gouth and one in Falmouth um our deconstruction program is a huge success for us um so if you're renovating or tearing down your home you want to call us and we can send our out our team to see what can be donated to the restore um a huge focus is kitchen cabinetry so we will U meet with the homeowner you see if we can sell it if we can sell it we'll schedule a demolition day to remove that and work with the contractor builder for the timeing my so they can go right in and start your project um say if cabinets are a little too dated because that does happen unfortunately um we can still demo it out for a donation fee um you know this stuff is keeping out a landfills when we do demo it out for donation fee we see if there's any like thing that we can use from it um so I mean you're helping the environment you're helping build more homes you're giving items a second second life um another thing is um we're always looking for people to help sell raffle tickets um our current raffle is the um beautiful hand kayak um and it's our 21st year of the raffle um so you may see the um you may see John and Pauline they're two volunteers that are building kayaks um for the last few years um they are at the harage um Port stroll Wednesday nights so today's Wednesday right right so um they will probably be there with a kayak tonight so stop by and say hi to them and then they've been going to a Province Town um every other Friday so that will be wrapping up to so you can buy tickets there buy tickets online at our website at the re stores and we're going to be um pulling the uh winner in um on October 10th so if you want to get a chance at the kayak buy tickets now I mean you think about it it's you know your odds are so great because it's a you know and your donate money back to a great organization to help build homes uh affordable homes and Cape so um we appreciate your support and again support of any kind volunteering businesses looking to um provide income donations um and sponsorships and even if you aren't able to volunteer there are other ways like you know monthly giving a state you mentioned State planning a few times ago there's so many ways to be involved oh totally and we're nearing towards the end of the year so where end of the season if you've got a boat that you're not going to have another season out of donate it you got a camper not going to get another season out of it donate it so I donated my car I'm speaking from experience and you got way more money than I thought I would ever get from that thing good job so much thank you um so the the boats the trailers the vehicles the cars this is the time of year we're like we don't want this another season get it off my lot exactly you know it doesn't have to run um as long as you have the title the boats do need to be on a a trailer sorry not to the restore though so you're want to go online on our website um and it's cars for homes um you can either call them go um fill it out but you do need to mention that you wanted to benefit habitat cape um so we can you know get that donation they'll schedule a time for someone to pick that up at your convenience um and you know that donation is huge we we have so many people that donate vehicles that are just rusting or donate feel goes oh I don't need this I just got a new car and I'd rather have that go back to um the community so there's a lot of great things there I think we covered it all but the blitz build is coming up the Run Ride walk I I'm not going to remember how to say it ever right home like yes yes um and if you're interested in um participating um please reach out to Adrian in our office um Hils events at habitat capap Cod um. org and um if you're in the Outer Cape lower Cape region um specifically around wle we are looking for um volunteers for the welll build um especially coordination roles um that help um coordinate other volunteer so if you are interested and can help with that please reach out to me um and oh Peter did I forget anything oh y you know volunteer donate um you know join our teams for you know L lots of opportunities if you're a builder that's not involved in this please get involved in this yes um you can reach out to the same habitat uh contacts and they'll put you in touch with us perfect yep once again habitat of Cape Cod we appreciate you guys coming in Sandra Peter thank you actually one more thing yeah so um later today um lieutenant governor um Driscoll is coming down to Orleans um because one of the projects that are in pipeline is um seven homes in Orleans on the old Governor Prince um Hotel property but it's a collaborative project with POA and housing assistance so later today um lieutenant governor joll will be visiting the site um Wendy and Tera will be there as well as representes from Po and hack Peter will be there too um so that's great news that that projects um you know moving forward um and then as far as the pipeline goes um so that's going to take a few years we also have um two upcoming projects to Falmouth four homes behind the restore on Giver Street Extension we're hoping that will be soon uh more projects in Falmouth Yarmouth Mar Mills Brewster and Beyond and we're always looking for and I know I got that send the land thank you I love it I love your work it's really important that we start helping each other find places to live I know it's
