book club where it was terrible at this book club I really stoed at book club I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual just had a visual proud of it on what did he say hey yeah he's already giving you a hard time it's perfect welcome on a Friday we are here at MASH TV and I am so excited to sit here next to Sean thank you so much for joining me you're welcome thanks for having me um I was busy doing my chamber duties this morning we had a business networking event and it was with the Better Business Bureau so they were there setting up head shots at the beautiful Summerfield Spa which is it it really is a beautiful Clinic here in mashby that does you were invited you just didn't get the invitation we're going have to show you where to find those now that you're business owner we'll talk about that later and all your free time Sean so yeah this is not our our regular time of morning we're a little bit later morning so that's good we get to check in with some other different business owners with people with different schedules so uh we had a great event this morning lots of head shot being done when was the last time you got you got a nice headshot though you had to do that for E for all was like three years ago was it oh yeah I mean well the one that you have is fine the eforall one might as well put a number on front of it because not look good that's okay you only have one chance so this is where I found you it was one of the beginnings of the eforall mentoring match and I loved your business I really think that we have such a beautiful little footprint here on Cape Cod and people always say oh yeah K Cod I know where X is or I know where Z is but they don't really know truly parts of Cape Cod so maybe you could introduce yourself and talk about your business a little bit I'm not going to make you do the E all business pitch but do you still remember it sure just let me bring up my phone no E True e all was fantastic for me uh it does not matter how much experience you have in any industry or experience doesn't matter right you always can take something out of it I have been doing this business for for quite some time not 6A tours but been in the tourism industry for quite some time but my mentors were fantastic and I learned something every single time well you started off a business with your wife before this I I did uh my wife and I owned a restaurant um on Main Street in hyana so I'm gonna I'm a tour guide so I tend to babble this is going to be like a long long so I will cut it give me the short story Sean short story short story get it we're not filling time without driving town to town I know I know so we owned a restaurant in hyenas and it was 2012 and owning a restaurant seasonal restaurant on Cape cot is very stressful um 18 I know 18 well we were there for 14 years that's pretty good for a seasonal Resturant that's amazing good morning Becca and Lauren thank you so much for joining us on the show uh so 14 years for a seasonal restaurant it's it's not too bad I was I was proud but it was um it's a lot of work we had young kids in 2012 I was having a really bad summer um just it was just too stressful and we were sitting at the kitchen table and um my wife Tara said if you could do anything what would you do and I said I'd buy a van and I would take people on tours he didn't say live down by the river so stop that good morning Alisa sorry that's true uh no but I started as a tour guide when I was uh 26 worked for Colette and it was fantastic started off with three-day tours then went to the national parks and then Alaska um that's kind of a cool gig though next thing you know I'm in Kenya that was a mistake for that no it was it was it was fantastic so I did that so you've seen it all I I've seen a lot I've seen a lot and it is the destinations are great it's the people Stephanie it really is because it this this might be their last tour do you find that a lot um well I don't talk to them afterwards not exactly sure now you do that you own your own business and not doing it for somebody else I do I do I take this business very seriously and personally yeah all right um they spend good money on tours again it might be their last tour yeah yeah I'm not trying to be dark no but it's also something that we talk about you know when people plan these trips like they're expensive and they really are thoughtful about the things that they want to do in their life this is a moment for them this is a forever I I had this moment with my kids this summer we had a core memory tour trip for for a month and we my husband and I kind of planned it all with them and we spent all of the time doing that but as we age as we get older we don't have the time we don't have the wherewithal we don't have our our faculties I guess and you kind of just want to check these off your bucket list so to speak exactly and and have somebody talk to you knowledgeably about the places that you're at so I I love what you do thank you I think it's amazing thank you um I found a segment that I think is lacking in tourism business when I started in 1996 um they didn't have Google they didn't have all this so so there's 50 people 40 people on a motor coach you have a Black and White itinerary you you have to hit every single one of those things on the it right it's check check exactly but the passenger passengers in seat one and two have different interests maybe than 40 and 41 right all right and you are on a strict and and literally Stephanie and I don't use that word often down to the minute yeah down to the minute because it takes him a while to yeah and that takes the fun out of it when you're running a program right so my segment it was it's I have two Ford transits that see well 15 but that includes me so 14 people um activities people want freedom people want to do I have a skeleton um itinerary yeah with six days y but on the bottom I I liken it to a buffet and I want you all to think about this when you're planning your next vacation and your next tour because this is solid information that I have found when traveling when you're booking those tours of saying oh wouldn't it be nice if we did this and this and this I don't like conventional tours like that because they stress me out I'm on somebody else's schedule and with people that all once again like you said have their own agenda right and you have your agenda that you've got to stick to all I that gives me anxiety yep yep because because that's what they paid for so I want that small group I want Stephanie her husband and maybe um a cousin or whatnot yeah and I work strictly these are custom tours I work closely with uh the group leader or whomever what do you like and then I can time it out send it to them we talk again we talk again this is what we can fit this is what we can what is popular here on the cape I'm always so curious as to people that just come to visit like what what are they looking for when they're saying I want a quintessential Cape Cod tour Sean this is what I want to see all of Cape Cod and blah blah blah blah when they don't realize how large Cape Cod is lighthouses lighthouses okay there's 14 of them um there's only a few that I can visit um depending upon how ambulatory they are to walk like race point is a is a long walk high is a long walk um but lighthouses seem to be um the one huh yeah yeah that's well that's what people think about I mean if you look on chamber websites that's what um that's what you see that's that's on the on the covers of magazines and and so forth so I would say lighthouses I'm always just so curious good morning Chris Dian we're here live at Mash P TV shout out to our friend Chris Ball who's so amazing we love what you do and if you want to watch Mash P TV HD 1072 and if it's not working for you then you need to upgrade your box and you can call 1800 Comcast we're here talking to Sean from 68 tours eforall Brethren and a business owner a seasonal restaurant owner and here you are post pandemic starting a tour company yeah I I know my wife was just like what oh another midlife crisis for you Sean I'm kidding kidding that was that was a long month but I love what you're doing because it is one of those spots that you can enjoy yourself you can showcase stuff that you know about locally and you can be on their schedule where they're maybe they go and they love the town of Sandwich and I want to stay here a little longer yes yeah I don't you know that's not going to work for us anymore because we don't feel like we really like to see X Y and Z and now we've seen Main Street now we want to see something else here by the water or we want to go to the canal or we want to see other spots that they might not have thought that wow we want to see more of this wow the cape's huge it is it is I not going to tell you the whole square miles and do anything like that please no me yes um I I believe someone in my family has owned a house on here since 1930 wow so I spent not my entire summer but a couple weeks and what I believe is an advantage is that I'm local and I can answer questions um I I don't get into religion or politics or anything like that but my opinion and facts about tax rates and and how things are going and I think people appreciate that where I didn't grow up in Kenya you know so I went I mean you know what I mean so I so I went and I can talk about you know wildlife and and Flor and FAA and things like that I didn't grow up there I don't know what's going on behind the scenes right so I think that's I think that's um an advantage and you'll see in September October and then um May and June ton of motor coaches all right you don't see them once the summer comes right the reason you don't see them is because the hotels they you can't afford it you can't um we're looking at $139 a night in the offseason in their shoulder during the the summer we're looking at 240 250 so you can't afford it so that skeleton toy that I'm I'm running in um excuse me that I'm designing I'm running for people who already have a house yeah I'm working with three different realtors um all the cottages and houses that I'm going to rent it's part of the package oh that's really nice I didn't realize that that was part of that as well that is I thought it was kind of just a daytime tour thing no I uh it takes three years to actually build this because you're planning it and you're not going to plan it for for two months a you know two months ahead of time you're going to plan it for the following year um but they already have their house yeah and I can help them with that or they have a house on their own and I'll plan that entire tour that's ex daily I kind of like that because thank you we we don't have a Hop On Hop Off situation here on the cape you've all been to the towns and the cities in the places where that that would work it doesn't really work here just because we have so many towns and Main Street areas and it's vast the Cape is huge what's up Larry thanks for joining us Michael uh we are talking to Sean from 68 tour is about his his newish business I mean you've been at yeah you've been doing this for a bit and as your business is growing you're adding and bolting on Services which I think is is great to talk about because we're here in a awkward space in the world where uh people people are struggling uh now as my new hat as a executive director of the Chamber of Commerce you know these are the conversations that we have how do we connect more with people how do we connect with locals how do we connect with tourists how do people find me and you have been going through this whole process and growing that for yourself right now and adding more you know what I've found um which I did not really expect is people who live here and they have um cousins or friends or whatnot that come here and they will call me and say I don't know what to do um can you and they'll hire me and I'll take them out because what 6A tours can do I live here and I get like that when people are like I've already seen that what do I do I'm like I don't I don't know that's my playbook yeah and 68 tours can hit six or seven things that might take somebody who does not know the area yeah I can hit all those and you know um the mom or the dad that's driving and maybe a couple kids in the back they're talking well whoever's driving get doesn't get to see it I am such a passenger princess now because I would like to be driven around by you and just show me things please and thank you yeah because I'm always the driver I'm the one that's going to park the one that's going to stress out about where we're going if it's going to be too peoply am I gonna find parking near there I'll drop you off and I'm going to park seven miles away you guys go enjoy yourself I'll eventually catch up to you it would be nice to be on a tour yeah and to just talk to my friends and family and to listen to you talk yeah well well give me more information about stuff I'm always a tourist in my own town even I find and you know Cape Cutters that we have our town and we usually are in it and then the towns beside it but we don't go much further than that no no h you're very Town specific hyenas is 17 minutes from my house and we have to like pack a lunch to get there because we're so like I can't go to hyas today that's going to take like an hour of why are we this way we're like oh cross the bridge we are um something I know Lauren I still go over the bridge for you excuse me something you mentioned um was oh gosh I just lost my entire uh oh um can you just bring me around with my friends um when you do the hourly tours you go to Boston or whatnot these Martha's Vineyard and they do that hour they know so much however they talk so fast it is a script they give you so much information but by the time you digest one they're on to the to the next okay I do not have a script that's good okay I drive and they it has to be interactive itn't ambles and Rambles everybody well but also driveing hey do you have any questions and it is it's um it's personal you know so whatever you want to know and I I go on and they're like oh what about this and thing you know we're in a totally different subject but at the end of the day they love it because they got out I I say one of my um mantras or whatever is I want you to go back over the bridge experience everything you wanted and know everything that you wanted yeah not what the black and white says what is your favorite town to tour Province to yeah there's so much to do there yeah and I will tell people and I'm very honest um is if you're coming um if they're coming from Pennsylvania or wherever if I can't get you to Martha's Vineyard and Provincetown on the tour I'm GNA say no oh okay okay and they're they're like why I said because those are the two places you need to go I don't want you to spend x amount of money come here and get half of it they don't know what they don't know right but I do right how do you feel the time driving on six sorry how do you fill the time if you're driving from say sandwich to provinc town driving on six I don't okay yeah I don't I don't drive play music you guys enjoy it yeah no I don't drive I will drive back on 6 just so we can get back to the hotel yeah excuse me uh but no I take 6A all the way down to Orleans rotary it's so pretty and then it is it is it's um no I almost got into a bunch of History I apologize no I like that that's good no we'll see I'm not going to as you should though I think that that is a part that we forget that is there sometimes in US locals that are just trying to get somewhere and get out of somewhere right that we forget that that exists sometimes and maybe even that is a a fun Sunday Saturday drive to just go on six is the second longest highway in the US thank you behind fun facts behind Route 20 well um we also do trivia so a little Cape Cod trivia every once in a while sponsored by 6A tourist might be a little fun thing to do wizard of O throwing it out there wizard of o yeah was 1939 was put out in three different theaters across the US one was in Dennis fun little facts with Sean Yep this could be a long day stuff no it's not like this is super fun though this is the part of the tour that you you get when you book with you yeah thank you well you know we're here at holiday season and I really think that this might be something fun that people might want to get a gift card or maybe even talk to to maybe a fun company outing like I'm people are always asking me I'm just usually the hub for like the most silly questions sometimes they're not so silly but I get asked the most bizarre questions all the time and I like giving people answers or people that they can talk to prism right here's my friend Sean go talk to him go ask him about things oh sorry I thought you were talking to good morning Miss Kathy Jensen Cap Cod RTA thank you we're going your way and if you want to get a little bit more granular you can go and head out with Sean uh what are some of the fun things that you like to tell people I'm not asking you to give out your playbook but okay what um need to know about you excuse me um again I give a a short history about my experience my wife's experience um my family and things just so they know and I tell them I'm like do you know who's driving just so they you know it it's personal I want it to be um for the lack of a better word intimate and that they know you know the personality and we can kind of meld it takes a little bit um what's my favorite thing um oh gosh uh going down sixa um the stone walls they're called ballast walls yeah because when the ships used to come over they had to put stones underneath so the the ship didn't turn because they didn't have any cargo as soon as they got here they took those stones out and that's where so the stone walls that you see on 6a are from all over the world because then they picked everything up when which is incredible I think a lot of people don't know that little nugget of information no and you're you're driving down 6A and if you look at the chimneys there's a black stripe around the top of them yeah and that was from the 17 1800s um that any any slaves that means that they were welcome there if they went and there was a black stripe interesting yes and that still exists and you can see it today while you're driving down 6: a.m. one of Sean's tours what do you think what what is the hardest thing for you right now being in the off seon Gathering like your planning phases right are you working on next season bigger better are you already talking 2026 like where where are you and in your business space because I I love talking to business owners about what's going on for you what's hard for you how are you not connecting how are you connecting how are you going to be better oh okay um I think in business there are you have a goal you have a mission statement but also you need to just be open to whatever cuz then you can find out who you really are all right when I started this it was the that that skeleton tour with all that well well because that was your background that was my background but you know I did um a TD event concert I did a Comcast Center concert I did a Gillette concert um at well when you're first starting you're like I'll take anything everything give me your business I need this there you go talk to my wife it's so stressful like I'll do that I'll drive there what do you need I have a van I'm like it Tera be like I'm like I'm kind of tired she just get like okay what you know whatever I think this is comforting for other businesses to know that that's where you begin your journey and you have to figure out where you're going to Niche it down to and where you're gonna go for where you belong what makes you happy what's going to make you feel like you're fulfilled at the end of the day pay your bills and let you sleep at night yeah it's kind of the basics and I think we forget that as business owners sometimes to take care of ourselves just because we can do it doesn't mean we should do it there you go there you go yep right and and also you can go in thinking that you know everything and this is what I want to do I know nothing next next thing you know you're feeling you're feeling a need that you didn't even know about that it was um that people needed so much and you didn't even you know you didn't think it's like oh okay I can do this so you know you throw everything at the wall and see what sticks hi Don thank you for joining us on the west coast we've got Lydia here with us I'm sitting here talking to Sean from 68 tours thank you very much to mash P TV for hosting us today we are so thankful to be in this building and to be able to use this space uh we got a big game tonight I don't know if we're GNA be live on that I think coach wanted to make sure uh that we were we're not it's MIAA rules so if you're looking for the game tonight for mashby football fall uh it's going to be broadcast later we cannot do it live just because those are the rules but my son is very excited he's nervous uh yeah yeah I know he's a sophomore he's playing on Varsity right now it's it's a big game for him we had POS night at coach's house last night fill up on those cards oh my gosh I was like how many kids did you just fit in there how many kids did you just feed Cody's like Mom they all I was the one no one wanted to be the first one to leave and I'm like pulling up going hurry up let's go and then all of a sudden the whole football team is like on top of my car last night my little car it's like they all Spilled Out like oh gosh I'm I'm really excited for this game they've worked really really hard and I'm I'm pumped to see how well they do it's GNA be a frigid one so bundle up folks we have our clam jam which is happening this Sunday in the mash P farmers market area we have a live band we have 30 different vendors we've got Allen Farms joining us so if you got addicted to Deb's fabulous Greenhouse Tomatoes those will be available for you to pick up uh we have some amateur stuffed cogs that are going to be tasted by our judges judges only Cog Republic is going to be there with with some chowder fantastic yeah so we always have such a fun time and this is the last event before our Cape Cod Christmas markets where we shift into Santa town and we've got 50 to 60 vendors for this it is I mean we have live elf on a shelf uh we have kids activities through the woods we you can pick up your Christmas tree you can have a hot totty you can have some wings from the bone sauce I mean we we're covering all of our bases so the trend this season has been slow holiday shopping okay that where people are out there mindfully Gathering things for their loved ones with a purpose which I think is kind of nice it ties into our local economy our local uh like we don't need all of this stuff right I think this time of season we try and be a little bit more thoughtful instead of filling stockings and getting stuff to make it look full it's right yeah I hopefully my wife's not on right now hopefully she's working well we're shifting from that so I think like maybe a mindful gift of giving a tour right with you or something where you you're like what do you get for the person that has everything I've got another eforall girl that we are working with at unique experiences Lisa and Lisa and I have planned this fun little lemonade o Cruise so if you want to cruise with me if you want to cruise with some of our lemon Ado staff um we're we're doing that coming in May uh where we're going to go to Honduras and then the next one next year we're going to be doing Greece and the aanc so if you're looking to get together with a group of people that you know you like to be around if you you know you don't know yet but you'll know find out after day two that you're like we are never cruising with Stephanie again good God she's exhausting yeah can I can I do one um Lisa Butler unique experiences.com she's a fantastic travel agent she and I um do work together a lot so unque experiences um Lisa is fantastic um and you can find the crew that we're doing with lemon Ado right here at the top of the lemon Ado page if you're following us on Portugal right now I I love it y we went to Portugal last year and I'm like make sure you get the this and the this and she's she's the boss oh yeah but I'm the one like did you do this wasn't it so good like we are doing this more and more this is what 2025 and 26 are is planning these moments with our friends with our family exactly it's so important cuz we don't know what the heck is going on in the world I have no idea yeah nope that's exactly it you don't so I think that getting those experiences and making those moments with everybody is really critical can I just tell you about uh one moment and this is Classic this is a classic example of what I said and personal um I went to coer Canyon Mexico I was training there was a gentleman um Chester Taft he was 101 years old and he he he wasn't Mexican but he grew up in Mexico we they didn't have elevators at this we carried him up in a chair all right and we got him a window right over the street cobblestone street and he sat there and he cried well sort of the rest of us right I'm I'm gonna say how was your whole tour not crying it was just it was such um it was a touching moment it was um again I take this personally I want people to enjoy their spending money this might be their last one and it was the that was the most touching moment that but I love that that's the service that you offered not because you have to or felt the need to but because that person deserved it they wanted to see something you made it happen that's the way it rolls what's up Dan thanks for joining us from Middle America we appreciate you uh Pam Justin how are you doing today we've got Sean from 6A tourus just talking about his business talking about connecting Cape Cod with the rest of the world but also Cape coders I mean how how many times do you have somebody that lives here that wants to show off that is like take me yeah well I mean I just opened in December so the word still getting out yeah and things but um but you are always a tour guide correct wherever you were in the world you're like let me tell you about that exactly yeah um yeah where did you get that bug from um I was a Rec director in college and I when I graduated I was looking for something and um I was going to be uh was gonna um Colchester Vermont I was going to apply there and right underneath it said tour gues Colette and my sister walked in and she's just like he never shuts up give him that job seriously I'm sorry I told you it's a disease yeah you know you should be my family dad shut up um so anyway I uh my sister walked in and I said Colette you heard of it and she said yeah your high jumping coach I think his brother works there so I called my high jumping coach and he said yeah my brother's the vice president and I'm like well that's kind of an in and um I got that job and I was a tour guide for a couple years and then I uh became a tour guide trainer you know wanted to get off the road 225 days on the on the road as what is it about though is is it about for you connecting with different people is it about just that information finding that information to share with people like what do you think draws you to this business this industry and makes you really good at your job hi jet thanks for joining us well I I don't want to say I'm I'm really good at my job but when they get off no you are because you're passionate and you talk about things passionately I think that makes I love a story like when I was in high school Mr Lum I absolutely love you uh running coach but he told history in a story that was so captivating that made you feel like you were there that made you wanted to be a part of it that made you wanted to learn and remember those dumb dates that you have to remember dat for which I still stink at I can't even remember my own anniversary barely my birthday at that but it's the stories yes when people get off the motor coach um or at the end and they have the smile on their face and they say thank you and I know that every single person that got off there I hope had a good time yeah you know and it's funny uh the the first day I text my wife I'm like all right I found the two I got to win over and she's just like what I'm like there's always a tough one in the in the group yep and then hopefully later on in the day I'll text her and go got them yeah good you know because you don't want just because they're quiet it doesn't you know maybe they're just do the best you can I know but then there's always that Merry misery that's got like the face on like she was born with a frown so much work to like just are you in there are you noticing are you happy are you unhappy are you going to ask for a refund after this I got stories I bet you do what's like your worst tour story uh gentleman had a heart attack in the middle of Copper Canyon and we had to drive four hours to Chihuahua with him in the baggage he did oh thank God he did I was like please don't tell me the story that he died it's like when you read Old Yeller and you're like oh no don't get me started on know Yeller um no he he did but it was terrifying um dirt roads all the way to chihuaha 4 hours with him and his wife and his wife was like freaking out he's Ling of course and I my Spanish was fairly good at the time but the uh the driver who was um he was a baggage handler and he did not speak any English um so that was pretty stressful because I don't even like putting Band-Aids on no less taking care of a yeah so that was uh that was probably um that was the scariest yeah put it that way well you're taking all these humans into your van like you're in charge of them now and that's that that that is that responsibility correct yep exactly how are you planning to grow this business what is your big plan because you said three to five years what's my big plan again since I've only been in business for 11 months I to find out you're almost there you've almost survived your first year almost um is to see what I have the two Vans again the second van that was really tough to get my wife to say okay you can do that second van um to to find out because Transportation uh to the airport and for concerts and things there aren't a lot of companies down here do it correct and that might be that might be my cash cow yeah coming up but my passion is that I keep on calling it a skeleton tour but it's really not I'm still trying to come up with a better name with a better name exact you want to connect with Sean and maybe you know like oh this is what he's talking about this yeah CU on the and it'll be on the website hopefully in the next couple months but you know personal chef uh whatnot on the that is my goal that's what I'd love to do um but again you're in business and it's it's it is the bottom line right at the end of the day you can be passionate but if you're if there's a red box on the bottom yeah that's not good um you keep saying my wife my wife my wife let's talk about working closely with our spouse how how your your challenge is there she's incredible you have to have one she grounds me yeah you have to have one I have one of those as well I would not be able to do the crazy stuff that I do if I not have a human that is the backbone of the things that I do yeah good job you're okay today here you go dust it off she does not mess around Che she does not hold back I'm sitting there and I she almost has me in tears because she'll cook she was Ted Kennedy Chef did I tell you that no she's our personal chef she worked for mobile she was Freddy couple's chef and stuff she's very okay so she feeds you yes that's the personal sheph your heart and soul and your body apparently so Sundays she just she cooks you know she just cooks and I sit there and I'm like what do you think and she goes that's stupid as every spouse should we've earned those right I'm like I'm gonna I'm gonna go cut the grass well um so she is um she like I said she's just fantastic about grounding me and giving me ideas but not uh she's not overwhelming and like oh no you have to do this she's just good feedback yeah that's amazing it is it is she we don't say enough about the people that are our support system well because you need one when you're an entrepreneur you need one right well we've been happily married for 22 years and we celebrate our 25th anniversary this summer congratulations that's amazing so there three years in between there that was you know funky it's rough that's only three I'm proud of you not in a never in a row a row oh no I was right there yeah uhuh similar situation so didn't know if you got the there so it work and you have a family on top of that like it's it's that constant Balancing Act yeah yeah I had two kids um a son down at Savannah College of Art and Design and my daughter lives um in Virginia so much work I think that uh I had a great conversation with another business owner today at a networking event and it was just that balance of you know I'm in charge I've got these people that work for me and you know here I am with a side hustle you know it's it's really really hard this time of year as business owners on the cape to keep it going keep that positive going keep your income coming in keep functioning keep that good attitude and also when people are you're doing it for you're like oh my I can't let them down you can't let your spouse down you can't let yourself down Shri again like I've been doing it since day one and she's still here yeah it's a four bedroom house I can find one we're here at Mash V TV I'm talking to Sean from 6A tours and transport so we've added this little extra to the business because it's quiet yep it's quiet here in this in the winter yep well we're ending our second summer as it's called yes yeah yeah second and boy was at a bang this morning when it was 30° and I was like why is it so I know I know but I mean May is what how many months away not soon enough also not far enough away I think January to April is my gathering strength time yep to propel us through all the stuff that we've got to do oh so Miser I feel like a bulb like a tulip just like taking it all in people are on the toilet like what's it like in the winter I said there's 220,000 absolute miserable people here uh it's unfortunately it is one of those places where we do hunker down and kind of figure out okay it's brutal are we gonna do this again absolutely brutal and then next thing you know boom we're here and it's over before you know it so please while we're in regeneration moments this winter as we're enjoying our friends our family the holidays and or maybe taking our Escape time maybe you have a seasonal business that this is your time and planning take it all in and give yourself a little Grace okay I know I definitely don't give myself enough time to do anything and uh no it's just go go go go I took a moment the other day I booked my nails done at capcon Nails shout out to all of our friends over in the mashby Commons book something nice for yourself and I was just like really just sitting there quietly I shut my mouth I didn't even make small talk with her I just sat there for an hour she probably thought I was just a blanket and I put my face in the Sun and I just was and that was very difficult mentally yeah but good you need that but I needed to yeah and I felt so good after that one hour of just shutting my mouth and just relaxing a little bit yep to be able to like go through the the rest of the week so yeah have to do that we do we got a super busy weekend that is coming up for us and we would love for you to join us at clam jam and also all of our capcog Christmas markets we've got incredible local Artisans incredible local artists we've got fenex art who's gonna be joining us and she is hand blowing glass ornaments every single weekend uh she's Dominique is incredible and this is a one-of-a-kind little treasure that you can find these are the things that I'm focusing on this year is doing something different and finding some little giveaways some sort of another way to find something different to give to people so I'm sick of the same old same old giving a tour to my my family uh I'm going to have to buy a few from you and let you let you work your magic thank you because I am I am always the one where do we go what should we do where should we eat what should happen yeah and I would love to give a little something new to this tour of Stephanie's brain I'm Gonna Leave it to Sean this time this season I have no idea what you're talking you're in charge because we are a tourist Hub people come and visit us here and then they expect us to be their tour guide so many people I'm tired you're the rec director and you you can't imagine the the people who own or they have Cottages down here next thing you out everyone's flooded and they're just like I don't know what to do get them out because um giving them to you yeah well because a one- day tour from 8:00 in the morning until 6 at night it's only $129 that's amazing it's not really that it starts at that it really depends um I don't but what do you pay for a ticket for a concert you know I don't even like going to concerts anymore it's too stuffy it's too peoply it stresses me out and I can just watch it online people did you make word up you that I always got like two two people in there I'll be back here you got a pen I'll text it to you you got this what else do people need to know about your business what else do they need to know about my business um you know I think I've covered everything because I think that's a great question yeah but I think I'd just be making things up because I think I covered everything I want time how do people get a hold of you how do people grab gift cards gift certificates plan trips okay um you can go to 68 tours.com and you can contact me that way um a phone call is great 508 31135 however I think it's um I'd rather to get an email only because then it is it's in right and then I evidence trackable and I can get back to you when I can get back to you exactly because you know I'm doing three contracts the other day you know and someone calls but I'm on this contract but it's the person on this cont and it's nothing worse than and being a small business owner and and forgetting somebody or something slips through the cracks and then you just feel awful you really do horrible right yep yeah it's it's like a missed opportunity you're mad now they're upset without you know what I mean it's just one of those things email is best email is is definitely the best and then I can get back we get back within 24 hours awesome yeah I mean because I don't call I don't use the phone while I'm driving you know so if I'm on tour good that's illegal yeah I know I'm a driving instructor for Triple A was a know this no I know oh gosh we I don't know how much time how many jobs do you have 47 the answer I 47 I was it's absolutely terrifying driving with teenagers absolutely terrifying one of mine doesn't drive she's 18 and still does not have her license my son turns 16 next week and um he will probably have his license before she will it's not um but he's a nervous Nelly and he's a rule follower okay I'm very thankful that this is my last one because I'm like I can't handle another one of our 20s somethings I feel well like all experiments I love them all but I feel like we've really drilled it down we've got a little bit better as time went on as parents you know it's not uncommon for kids not to want to social media has a lot of things Tik Tok and they see all this stuff and they they freak out but they lived it here in mashby I mean we have it's it's a lot you've been through a lot I mean I'm not going to get into all of our woes and tragedy but I mean you you've been through a lot this year right it's we've been through a lot so I think that it's scary and it's nice to know that somebody is a rule follower that is taking charge that has given lessons that knows how to be in command of that vehicle and you like to drive yep I don't like to drive anymore I love to drive I'm actually a better driver with the van than I am with my car oh okay you're more cautious no I'm just better oh I'm cautious on both but oh my my I'm an instructor of my family just makes fun and be like Dad you stink at parking I'm like right everybody's a CRI like right but I can back that van up no problem yeah and just it is what it is have a good weekend tell your family we appreciate them for letting you come on and do this with us and uh definitely book something with Sean whether it's this year or or uh even even a ride right yep just you know whatever I'll I'll work my my wife will work don't work with her um hopefully she's working no tandem tours for you guys no tandem tours um no like I said I just like to work closely with the people it's you can't book online it's I don't have a book online it's a contact I want to talk to you I want I did not know this so do you feel like that scares a segment of your business away maybe yeah maybe but you're okay with that I am yeah because it's the connection that you want it's the customer that you want right exactly because if someone goes on they don't know what to expect just because you can say book now and it has uh you know three sentences doesn't necessarily mean that that's what they want and I can speak to them and say you know what how about this because this is what you like it's all about customization more is not necessarily better and I'm glad that we had this conversation today Sean thank you so much oh you're welcome thank you definitely have you back because um when you've got something fun and exciting I definitely want you to check in and be like new tour this is cool see you in five years F have a good weekend everybody thank you so much for joining us Karina Lenor Nicole it is TGIF I am very ready for this weekend even though it just means different work seven and two go me I Chang a different hat yay thank you very much seven and two have a great game everybody have a good weekend everyone we'll talk on Monday uh our question of happens to me yeah exactly all right we'll talk to you later thank you very much to our friends here at mashby TV if you want to know what's going on in the town of mashby this is the place for you HD
