get little stickers yep when you go places yep and then um once you fill up your passport you can pop that into a box that I'm going to be putting at the mash B Chamber of Commerce which is right in Cape space when you walk in the door and then we've got some great prizes for you very good yeah I know little stuff right we've entered that season it felt like the holidays this morning it was cold it was cold W it was cold are you ready for it no he's like I'm still in Florida time I'm still in yeah I'm still in Florida I'm still you know it's it was cold I was surprised I opened the door and went oh I guess I need a heavier jacket yeah um I don't know if it's going to stay with us and I heard that there's another hurricane shuring down south yeah it could go if it goes left it's gonna be okay if it goes right it's heading towards Florida again and and the the big weather guy down there his name is Dennis Phillips he he sometimes he predicts things in terms of you know like I'm going to start to put my Christmas decorations up and early on a storm he was saying I'm still putting my Christmas decorations up I'm still putting my Christmas decorations up and then about a day or so ago he said I've stopped putting my Christmas decorations up hang on oh oh so that's a mother nature taunt if you will yes gotcha what's up Ryan I'm looking forward to clam jam that is coming up on Sunday Sunday Sunday Sunday clam jam we've got the conspiracy of noise that is going to be performing so we got a full band we got this blowup Band Shell the hoopie camper that my husband's been working on as a service window is ready to go it is she's ready to go all right I know so that's getting out of my yard today uh we have 30 vendors we've got the bone sauce guys so if you love their wings they will be back in all of their Splender for us on Sunday not to be missed folks not to be missed so we've got um like a fun little activity for the kids it's basically like a kitty pool full of sand and they can dig for uh Treasures dig for Stuff very nice and uh we got five amateur steppies right now that are going to be uh tested judged and the winner will be crowned Boss Hog that's happening Sunday thank you very much to our friends over at the Cog Republic which will be there with all their sauces and their mixes Bloody Mary mix uh I love their KL saw oh really their K saw sauce yeah is delicious I use it for all kinds of different stuff never had it uh it's like new this year so so definitely come and uh try a little grab a bottle it's definitely good mix it up a little okay okay right do you add to it yeah you can put it on anything I put it on potatoes I like them on baked potatoes really instead of all the other stuff oh I don't know I'm weird I like sauces takes all kinds Tak what's up Miss Cindy Jackie Emily Michael thank you for joining us I think things are functioning here at Mash B TV so that's excited people seem to be seeing us well they left us alone again thanks Chris and they left the door open so we can make a quick exit or but this is our brand new set this is our set it's very nice I like it a lot super cute so uh we've got our own little area of Lebon Ado now inside of mash PTV and I'm really excited to uh work on some of our collaborations as we grow this relationship very fun yeah very nice that Chris to sort of set it up this way they were they were working it was like I think Tuesday when I bopped in here and none of this was like this really and then by Wednesday he's like look what we've done I was like yes it looks really good so him and Justin worked really hard on getting this together so what is on for everybody this week I don't I feel very overwhelmed yeah it seems like it's really busy and I don't quite know why right yeah it's that hurry up before the holiday season really kicks in right my my son were less than a week away from his 16th birthday I feel very old as a mom and he wants very little uhhuh he was a little baby at one point never little never little never little he was like almost 11 pounds really kid was not ever little oh okay okay he came out sitting straight up like my wee I know like see the little duck that Chris gave me today this is like how he came out and he just sat right most babies you wait for them to sit up for like a solid three to six months not M right up NOP he was just like like there you go there you go little buddy I'm ready to go what's on hey Mari how are things over at Cape Cod dining at home and anywhere else are people getting a little stoked for some uh holiday recipes I think so people have been asking well I finally watched the holiday baking challenge with with our friend Natasha as she did a good job she did a great job yep some of those in there my husband texted me I don't know if she did so good or other people just didn't do good but I feel like she's not trying to show her best stuff no no she's holding back I definitely feel like she's just like H like she's just got a great personality and if you're not watching the holiday baking um challenge I definitely suggest that you do so Monday nights at 8 o'clock on the Food Network the week the show from the week before runs before it yeah and then the new show runs well us Hulu Watchers have to wait a whole extra day or at two o'clock in the morning before they'll show the episode from the the previous whatever it is fine we'll wait for it and if and if you follow Natasha if you follow Kate Batter um on social or if you follow uh Kate cardani at home and anywhere else and I don't know why you're not doing that already um we'll be showing the clips as they become as they become available yeah it looks like Natasha is getting the clips from the Food Network and then she's putting them up and we're still efforting to um get the Food Network to allow Natasha to join us that would be so amazing I really want to have her on and uh we're just waiting for that a okay okay go right ahead and talk about your experience what's up Jamie they got to be careful because obviously the show's already shot right and they don't want to yeah they don't want to give let the cat out of the and and she's got to be careful plus she doesn't know what they've released right like she doesn't even know what they've used no no no no you don't know what's been and I think that would be terrifying for me as a human just because me I'm always running at the mouth and running at the top and I wouldn't know what they would use well the way I've been been looking at it is the people that we're seeing a lot of now they're not goingon to make it right so so they're using these people up in somebody like Natasha who were not seeing a lot of not very nice way to say that they using them up well they're showcasing the on that are leaving early there you go that's much better and then you know there's a couple like Natasha and there's a couple of others who are not getting a lot of air time yet so I think my guess is they'll be getting more air time later right yeah that's usually when you watch a reality show like that that's what you see the ones that they focus on are the ones that are going to be leaving very soon yeah now I haven't been watching the golden Bachelorette is that over no I stopped watching it she's not as exciting as Gary actually it's not that it's not the guys the group of guys is just not as exciting it's a group of women that were part of that that's what it that's what makes the show and takes up most of the spot good morning Miss Victoria I saw you in a photo yesterday over at the center I do have plans to join over there very shortly and uh move my body a little bit I'm not making any promises to myself but uh I Stephen coar and he had a little thing going back and forth with step coar because Steven coar was making like he was gonna be the sexiest man alive yeah we all know that was not for you that was for the town of mash B uh so what's on the docket for today our question of the day what is popular that we don't understand why it's popular immediate first out of the gates Walter was like Crocs I do not get these things what don't you get about the comfort of a Croc and I was second with pickle ball yeah yeah I mean it's fun it seems like the kind of thing that well it's started out as something for older people to do that wasn't as demanding as tennis and you just kind of hit the ball back and forth and gee isn't this fun yeah but it's become this whole big competitive thing and this professional pickle ball and I don't I don't get I'm not much of a tennis fan anyway so I can't imagine and it makes such a racket K oh boy you're one of those people now no no but let's get a report from The Villages no I never noticed it makes a rocket I never noticed how noisy it was and it never really bothered me until you go somewhere where people are playing it constantly and it's just like that's good thank you back to you sound effects by Hank tennis is quieter you think I think so there's more grunting in that there's a lot of injury in pickle ball yes there is uh this has become a big problem that uh surprised me a lot Gloria thank you for visiting us from Canada to say it because the age of the people who are playing it yeah you think it's less work but then it's now become aggressive a little right right you know a lot of people I play golf with somebody and jez Victoria all in capital letters Stanley Cups that is exactly what I wagered on that list also this morning that's a good one I I just don't get the big cup where you see these tiny little girls in these ginormous water cups right and they're not drinking most of the water anyway yeah right I don't know it's just there for show it's the cool thing like you don't have your Stanley what do you have and they have a camera taking a picture taking a selfie of themselves yeah with their Stanley with their Stanley and then they posted and some of the these things I do not get Ryan man says Hank you sound like LS black yes it's perfect you're saying I'm cranky no Mari says he does seem like a mean Donald Duck oh get off my lawn oh my God Gloria I hear you Hank the squeaky shoes in the basketball courts drive me crazy yep so yeah that is our question of the day if you care to wager in on the Stephanie of the morning page and just say what is popular right now that you do not understand why it is so popular yeah let's just all kind of stuff oh my there's so many things speaking of things that you don't I like the little duck the ducking why why is this so popular I did karaoke at the mash P post prom party last year and some of the adult volunteers were hiding those all over the place for the kids to collect and whoever had the most got more raffle tickets for some of their great prizes yeah so uh but but don't people like leave them on cars and stuff and oh the those a Jeep thing that's a that's a big okay rubber duck and that's a Jeep thing okay so if you've got a Jeep and you see another Jeep you leave them a duck which says what I saw you I saw you you look cute today here you go I don't have a Jeep I'm not in the club I have a Jeep you have a Jeep can we be friends yes it's a thing that's so my friend Denise was like why don't you get a Jeep and I was like I mean they're cute they're not comfortable no and I'm not offer I have no time in my very busy schedule with my 14 jobs like a ride seest do not have the time to go off-roading and do all those fun beachy things that I would like to think that I want to do in the summer but I just never get to keep is one of those one of those cards that I've always kind of wanted but the same thing it it's not comfortable it's not practical so when did I become this person I don't know if if I live in Florida I might have a Jeep but not up here it's not it's not worth it when did I become the oh what so a Mini Cooper thing and Jeep stole it so says Cindy all right and then Jennifer says Hank try pickle ball you will love it love it somebody get me on a court I will actually do it I'm saying this here and now if somebody is like the pickle ball efficient a please bring me to one of your pickle ball things and make me understand how I would like this because I don't feel as if I would I mean once again we've talked about my situation with tennis growing up yes where I got dropped off at the field with Fred BK's very cute son and I was like a pudgy little 11-year-old and I would go sit out there with like heat stroke Tendencies and my mother would leave me there and it was 104 and I would have to play tennis and I would get like heat stroke and Fred BK's son would like take care of me lovingly and all the girls thought it was because I wanted his attention because he was so cute but I was actually dying it's the different childhood memories that I was like oh I don't think I want uh gross so my daughter uh ventured off of Campus over the weekend and found herself quite a whirlwind weekend where she ended up in Rhode Island apparently and then got a ride home back from my mother who yep really I was like she called me I'm like tell me Les I love you how did she get from Salem to she took a bus because her friend uh goes to uh Johnson Wales okay so they hung out for the night and then she was not wanting to pay $10 to get a ride back so she called her grandmother so she called and hung out with my aunts okay both of them appar yeah Pucket Pucket Pucket North Providence and my mother is now like on the Pucket rith line apparently okay gotta ride home with Nana okay then somehow finds her way to Medford meford what you doing to Medford I don't know one of her friends went to a concert and she's sending me video I don't know what they do in college anymore I don't know all I know knows that my husband shut her off there's a theater in Medford though what is it the chalia theater oh maybe that's where she was that has concerts she sent me a video from some hard rock I was like what when did you become this human we all saw the crowd surfing video I shared here's another one of her in a dark red room with screaming Rock and I'm like okay that's what you like all right yes the Cal chalia theater is a method method method got say it like that live band weather looks like it's going to be nice like sunny and 58 yeah that's not bad so uh as far as a Sunday nearing winter I will 100% take that for our weather you plan these events and you the only seventh grader selected to be part of the backstage crewp for sandwich High School's fall play which is um almost Main and that starts this starts this week that's exciting I love her like AV Network and the holiday movies oh go shoot me that good huh no I any any time mari's watching a holiday movie I walk in and I say who hates who who's but they're going to get married and which one is Santa Claus well because of that that's every movie so I'm like okay because of that how you've just laid out the plot of every single Hallmark movie there ever was where there's a woman who had a problem and ran away to the country and now she's finding the single guy that's just perfect for her they're trying to spice it up a little bit over at the homework channnel really and get a little bit more in detail on those little scenes oh make it more a little spicier spicier does it involve Santa Claus could you imagine I don't know if Hallmarks but they feel as I'm s I'm sitting on the oh my God that that was a former client of mine I had to I had to do a lot of PR work on that that just gave me a lot of like PTSD right there never you are playing Santa never say come over and sit on Santa's lap to grown women a message to Mari Logan is calling me and I obviously can't answer oh my God thank you thank you I'm sorry like if you need me to shut off your microphone and you can take emergency emergency um yeah so that was that was a situation I had to deal with last year that was super fun um just don't just don't Ricky B says yes I we were up in um New Hampshire at Santa's Village maybe year or so ago maybe two two or three years ago and Santa was a little creepy and kept telling Megan what a lovely little girl Mariana was stop yeah that will never happen to you my friend Denise prman uh has a fabulous Santa over at fleeting moments they're doing photos with Santa privately um in a beautiful studio and you can make a reservation her price point is pretty low she can print you ornaments and stuff like that because apparently this year the Christmas card is going out of style really I people are still going to send them how are you going to send your big long family update nobody wants to hear about right it's got to be on the backs of those photos or those forced Family Photos where your kids are like 30 and you're like why do we have to do this mom stop because we have to we're getting fewer and fewer yeah as as time on yeah people check in now email phone call text message it's easier to send that I would rather just send it on a text or just post that photo on social media right it's way less time consuming less stamps less holiday time less expense less stress less signing things right you can just send that message to everybody in your family here they all are look at cute Yep they're all growing up now right 37 and but Denise's Santa is like the best Santa got genuine Smiles out of my two teenagers that were up at 6 o'clock in the morning to take this photo cuz Mom made them very good and I I love that photo it's from two years ago and it's the same Santa he does a great job uh but I look at that photo every time and it just makes my heart melt because they're real Smiles on the kids the best Santa we ever um saw was up in Burlington Mall when when Megan was little and and this guy didn't even wear a hat he was bald he had the hair it was bad santa he had the oh no no no he had the beard he had this gorgeous white oh jacket on oh it was just natural it was natural it was tot totally natural and what he would do was I think I can say this maybe I should are there kids watching I mean everybody is mentally five on here so you're fine we're fine right we're growing what what Santa would do was Santa would listen he would be sitting like here and and people would be coming up on the side with their with their children and he had this amazing ability he heard the names of the children and when they turn the corner to see Santa oh he called them by their names how cool is that like oh and the guy was like never mind he truck driver from Texas who was Santa's he was Santa's helper those are the best Santa Hank I thought we discussed last year that you were going to grow out your beard and then we were going to pimp you out this year what happened to this I I didn't do it maybe next year don't do this to me again next year okay we I know we're not allowed to have Santa because Santa's in the mash P comments we've got our heal our elves uh Lily is going to be our elf on a shelf at the market so you'll find her popped around oh good bench on the bench yeah we're working on a mench on the bench Snoop out a stoop the other ones there's few of them that are out there right now what's up Walter I like supposed to chop it off you know no no you're supposed to grow you're not supposed to shave at all in November oh it'll get too sloppy it'll get way too sloppy that's okay we'll take a sloppy Hank anytime I saw a a story this morning in our stack of job that said um the meaner and more hostile means you're mentally drained so is that an excuse that they're using at this point in time or is that just a real thing boy I don't know I mean they're trying to find ways to explain people being mean and hostile so I suppose anything will work well I feel like this time of year as it is so dark so early and we're tired and we start our days earlier yeah but study says why you might get meaner and more hostile when you're mentally drained it's literally called The Brain Drain for a reason I think people are just drained from the stress of the election yeah you know I mean it was just drove everybody crazy and I don't care which side you were on or whatever it was you think that this week we're all like pressing reset yeah going to our happy place right use the holidays um don't talk about the like just let go oh there was already a conversation that I had heard about somebody's mother just inviting them to Thanksgiving because she couldn't stand it was like there okay stop stop it's going to get weird it's all decided there's nothing we can do it is what it is sit back and we'll just have to see right relax worry about yourself exactly you yesterday were on some sort of water quality panel yeah the the cap clod um Association of Realtors had a uh a lunch and learn yesterday oh a lunch and learn called um navigating kid C waterways what did you learn and it was a well it was a discussion about what um some local organizations are doing to improve the condition of our of our waterways because I mean we all know some of the ponds that are um had a close down this year because of the the pollution and and everything else um you know lots of towns are in various um you know stages of sewering and and and all of that and as Realtors what happens is we have buyers coming from out of state quite often from places that they grew up with their street being sewered and you start talking to them about leech fields and all that sort of stuff and oh by the way you're in this particular Zone and there may be a lot of nitrates which may or may not be good for you and someday you may have to pay a whole lot of money to have a sewer line installed in front of your house and people just freak so the idea behind us doing it was to to give Realtors just some back pocket information so when people freak and they want to know well what are you guys doing for example um uh the friends of um uh F some many one of the groups from Falmouth they're actually they started repopulating um Scholars back into the back into the waterways again so there's all these organizations doing these doing these little things to try to sort of bring things back and um the goal is in bass bass River to have millions to put in a million scallops next year scallops scallops not oysters not clams scallops scallops well I'm down for scallops I know here in mashpi it is oyster season and they're urging everybody to go and get your family fishing license because we have tons of oysters we have more coming in and they're great for the water they filter the water it's just a great way to a good system because what scallops do is scallops is another way to um the the the runoff from your from your septic system or or or whatever the nitrates go into the vast server for example I mean it sounds wretched and we all understand how that life cycle works but and the scallops they process it okay that's just their food right and the SC right and the scallops help help drain it yeah and it has no impact on us when we eat the scholars it's a different it's just a different thing well this is another reason for my friend Lisa never to eat seafood as she said she will never ever do she said she was over in Portugal at Lisa from our friends at the friends of the um the Children's Museum and she's like I had a very difficult time eating she atat a lot of potatoes why because she doesn't like seafood and she doesn't like wine and I said how are we friends but it's fine she's very Irish she got her potatoes she was okay we are nearing the holiday and I know a lot of times people pick up a side hustle just to pay the bills I saw a very fun side hustle that you can get paid to watch holiday movies leading up to Christmas cable tv.com is looking to pay somebody $2,500 to watch 25 holiday movies plus a year uh over seven streaming services Mari listen the the job is called the chief of cheer Mar you watch these movies Anyway come on honey we need to watch in The 25 Days leading up to Christmas and the winner gets to pick the movies you'll have to keep track of each movie you watch and then rank it in three categories Nostalgia heartwarming storytelling and then holiday cheer and then you've got to provide a list of suggested movies on the application the deadline to apply is November 30th so if you want that little link I will drop it in the chat just in case you want to be the chief of cheer for cable tv.com that's now that's a fun job that's a fun job right we need to have more jobs like that because I think more people would pick that up all do such an amazing job for our town and I had a great conversation with Justin on Tuesday and he's like this is open to everybody and this is a resource to anyone in the town that wants to do a show and he's like even if I don't even if I disagree with whatever it is that you're doing we're here I'll show you how it works happy to make it function for you and this is our job um so definitely suggest you pop by and at least see the facility it's absolutely beautiful and uh get a conversation going if you want to have your own show when you think about how far local C TV channels have come from when this all started it's just incredible well we're we're looking forward to branching the the Stephanie in the morning show to a bigger more interactive show that has uh never been done before so I'm curious how we're gonna morph this in the next few months but uh it's going to be a lot more work we're gonna have an actual producer y right onward everybody right right I mean but when you think when when cable TV first came and they were talking about ohow and we're going to give you money so you can have your own little Channel everybody went what right what and then it was like well we'll go tape the select's meeting and then we'll go tape the school committee meeting and we'll play it over and over and over again and now it's expanded to to this with people you know doing their own programs and all the sports coverage and it's it's it's unbelievable and it's replaced what regular TV used to do that doesn't anymore so definitely and we don't have a um we've never had a TV station here in Cape coton what do you mean I mean like a regular there was never an overthe a station that covered Cape cot oh well now we have that one so come and check us out here at MASH TV Chris knockabout there's goingon to be another comedian that is going to be trying out some new materials for his nationally touring act and his Netflix special but I we're not allowed to promote them oh so of cheer holiday spending this season is going to be reaching upwards of $3,000 per family I think that's about accurate I think so sometimes when I hear the stats I'm like there's no way but I think last night from a friend a text message and it's like listen I need I need a place to live and it's got to be from here to here do you know anybody and I immediately connected him with someone that I handful as they say we've got um Chris had just sent me about mashby fire department um to join chief John failen on his retirement after 34 years dedicated to the service of the town of mashby uh coming up Friday December 6 from 9: until noon coffee Refreshments will be served we're going to have a recognition and uh presentation ceremony right after 10 o'clock r at mashby fire department so if you're looking to celebrate somebody that did an amazing job and has served the town of mashby well that's a long time yeah yeah is it really is you've done your service we thank you sir yes enjoy your retirement yeah right seriously though absolutely all right I got to ask you yeah what is this cup bies oh oh oh oh the gas station yeah gotcha who buys merch from a gas station I did actually there are a bunch of great little cups and I'm going to reuse them yes I'm not a fan of huge plastic stuff but uh if I'm going to continue to reuse and reuse and reuse forever because that's how long it will live then I will do so okay uh and then I've got my reusable cup here because you know I do my best with plastics I think everybody really does and we're trying to do better I know Adam is doing a really good job with our friends over at take care of Cape Cod Cape Cod cares for care for the cape and Islands they've got a summit that is coming up on how we can just do a little bit better right we're not asking you to change the tides we're asking you to just do one or two things to change and make a little bit of a difference going forward and that's what we have been doing over at the mashby farmers market the Christmas Market that we've got coming up I just heard from the little train we'll have the little train that you have at October Fest oh really will be with us for the weekend of December 23rd and 24th so each weekend has like kind of a different theme a different um food item a different food truck a different activity we will always have kids activities throughout the woods area because Lauren will be there um yeah she's goingon to be in and out we've got our little gingerbread men that she's been working on we have a scavenger hunt so I don't know the exact number of Nutcrackers yet I don't know if we're going to promote how many nutcrackers that you're looking for but we will have a scavenger hunt throughout the capcon Christmas Market in which you can try and locate all of them and you can either take a photo or check them off on one of our little tally sheets but don't but don't take them don't take them they'll be zip tied to things so please do not defile my beautiful nutcrackers that our team of staff cff come to your we've got cameras on them so don't touch him Cliff will find you he has he has the software to find you oh my gosh he's done nothing to do with any of The Nutcrackers it's been all of us ladies and I've got like one more good spray of shellac because they're so some of them are really really cute and I don't want the weather to weather them because I want them to live on for for upcoming holiday seasons so uh it's just something a little bit fun and free for your entire family to do that's really what we're trying to create just little bit of magic and some excitement here in Mash P for the holiday season so that is going to be coming up like Fast and Furious I can't even believe November 23rd right I'm like I've got all this time no you do not miss so I gotta get to work it's all of a sudden gonna be Thanksgiving and then boom right um all right well that's going to wrap things up for us we've got the Pats game coming up this weekend they're playing LA but we're fresh off a win we're feeling good a little bit cocky right they could win this week too because because the playing of charges right Chris correct home field dogs home field yep yep they could they could they could win again I do want to make mention of the fact that our mashby Falcons are going to be playing in their playoff game on Friday against asbery we are home and you got to buy your tickets in advance there's a link um that I can also drop in this chat and if you're ever questioning I guess I'll will share it on my social media too just so that you can grab your tickets because uh it's different rules when you're playing playing in the in the playoffs for our tickets so definitely grab those ahead of time and come and support these guys they're nervous about this team Yep this team in amsbury plays like the old Pats do with two tight ends oh really and uh it's kind of not something that we're used to seeing um and and the boys are like okay we you know I'm my son's like I'm not good at reacting to this and I'm like you're gonna do what you're gonna do out there they got good coaches there they'll be fine we really do shout out to our staff at Mash uh because they are just awesome coach Traver coach ball there are a few others that I can't remember right now because um usually they're my son griping about them because he makes them run and do all kinds of stuff they don't want to do right but that's it totally is I absolutely love them to pieces and uh I'm looking forward to H Friday night Friday Night Lights and hopefully the weather is with us get a little bit warmer than it is today just a little bit right and sandwich high school the high school play starts this weekend as well look at that and that's our Thanksgiving match um for um Mash B is it and we're at Sandwich this year oh really oh right well maybe we'll have to go back I don't know how the team is looking though it's usually either very lopsided and I don't know why I think sandwich is pretty good this year all right we'll have to see on Thanksgiving then Hank yep where's everybody getting their bird
