mic you did a great job did not like the sound of my microphone hey how are you good I think Meg hit the nail on the head it's pretty Perfect all right we're live good enough yeah he everybody what's going on we are here at knockabout Sunday Funday Laura's joining on the fun today hi happy going everyone what time did you get here this morning uh well we got a little bit of a late start because of well it was Daylight Savings time and then when I was Meg was 8 o'clock we're gonna be there I'm like uh yeah yeah um we actually didn't even realize it until last night like my God got so if you're wondering what we got here so early for the brewery when it doesn't open until 11 o'clock the pink boot Society every single year has this open invitation to brew beer now Meg is one of the Brewers here and she Brews all the time uh but she opens it up to a bunch of women to come in and check out the whole process wherever you are in your crazy day and uh she's here with her girls and they're getting a lesson in science because it's not always just the fun part of drinking the beer it there actual science involved in it y lots of sloppy clean up ah you know what though I love it and it sitting there and watching her do mental math is kind of a joy for me because I'm so bad at it and last year I had I was tasked with weighing out the Hops and that that alone stressed me out very stressful it's a science project well because it's a big it's a big project it's not like whoops we could just do it again it's a lot involved in this process chemistry involved um yeah there's like lots of it gets hot it gets cold you're sweating you're running around how long how many times have you done this this is my second time doing this my husband and I used to like Brew home brew before y now it's just straight chaos that's what I like the lady Brew this year it's called knock knocking boots I think that that's what it's called so we just uh we're in the final process right now and uh Meg when will this one be ready to to go to drink days all right so 10 days make sure you come and support the pink boot Society we'll have that on draft and you can try it yes I know awesome supporting women of course well Laura's got a bag of pops and I'm just so curious what you're going to do with it but you threw out soda bread and now I'm interested I know I tried to make Scottish oat cakes the other day and they didn't really come up so I might try that it's really good in pizza dough um I don't know they reuse all of the grains here and we've got a couple of people that come in farms that pick it up for feed and other ways that people reuse it which is fabulous I think it's I think pigs really like it it's pretty neous I I love enjoying being in the room where it happens in there as the women are talking about all the medicinal qualities of hops and all the benefits we're thinking we can do a little um a little like perfume if you're going out trying to pick up a guy maybe like little H sense we had this conversation in the back that Laura was like just rubbing it on her Temple points and she's like you know this is how you get guys and I said that I've never heard of but you know what it makes sense we have a lot of single get togethers here at nakabo uh last Sunday of every month we always do a single gut together here so maybe that's all you're missing ladies is rub a little hops on you and maybe it might change your station I don't know what it is I think really work it might be like an untapped industry listen we're all doing our damnest out here good afternoon Emily thanks for joining us I know we're like teetering on being afternoon it is exactly noon right now so we're at knockabout we've got our low steaks arts and crafts there's like bunnies and I've got the whole bucket over there we've got babies here it's Kegs and Eggs so you can come for some tacos and hang out and try some their new Brews I'm loving the new aluminum cups look at us on our journey to sustainability here at knock we got some Shamrocks on right well next weekend is going to be a crazy wild weekend so it is a full weekend here at knockabout of Irish nonsense Shenanigans we've got um bagpipe players and performers we've got Artisans we've got Crafters we've got Irish Step dancers we've got games we've got prizes so we just need you um and we're going to do it on Saturday rinse and repeat on Sunday it's just going to be a weekend of Irish Shenanigans come for the crack that's it she's got her Irish sweater on she's ready to go great this is my Irish sweater War thing what's your favorite beer here that they've done ever oh that yeah that's good we were just talking about when they're going to bring on some of my favorite summertime ones Hopson sunshine I loved um yeah that was another good one um they've got a bunch but uh Robbie what was the latest one that just came out Cape life definitely worth a try it's very bright and sunshiny up top for the front flavor so worth a checkout and of course all their seltzers they're always mixing them around the guava Selzer was well Robbie got me into mixing and matching them and making our own flavors so I was like I didn't realize uh they've also got just a plain one that you can mix with mimosas here and so good so they've got crafts uh cffs of mimosas Hardy so to we've got strawberry lemonade Sal yeah it's good right so many things to come on by knock about log on and see what they've got going on they're always champions of local nonprofits too so if you've got an event or you need a space for your next party whether it's a small party whether it's a bigger one that can spill out to the outside when the weather gets a little bit more I don't know better hey daylight savings time so we're moving closer towards Spring and more things that are going to be outside our first Market our first mini Makers Market is going to be here April 7th we've also got a nonprofit that's going to be here for Ruck for hit heroes in transition which does so many amazing things for our soldiers and uh we've got our race coming up and knot is always such a champion of everything that's going on with nonprofit so if you're looking to use this event space please do the staff is here today Le's got the baby and Robbie's here Manning the taco bar so Kegs and Eggs next weekend to St Patty there's always something going on and I'm really looking forward to the ladies Breo it's if you come down you might even be able to see the window yeah it's almost done so you got like maybe an hour left to be able to like see it maybe sample its finished product it's not done done we can see all the labor that these ladies have done I basically just turned a lever and I said I was part of
