what Serina and I were in a entrepreneurial book club where Stephanie never read the right book and Stephanie was terrible at this book club I really stopped at book club I did not fabulous I'm what I holding him hostage apparently today you don't get to go nowhere I'm like you're coming with me to my blood work we've got a long day let's let's Pony out pain as long as we stop the TS every now and then I'm good I'll get you one afterwards if I'm fasting you're fasting all right no no no it doesn't work that way are you aort like that I'm a fre Uber driver that's right I'm a Huber driver today a hank Uber driver um so I'm so excited that you invited us into your your space here at the college and uh what's going to be happening today is we are going to be live on the radio 90.7 wkkl while we're doing our live stream so our camera is right there people are watching you just hey folks good morning boys and girls we have to make some small adjustments as to how we're talking to people tonight definitely save that so we're gonna jump on for our first break on KKL and then feel free at Super Bowl week like we're going to introduce ourselves oh yeah ready oh yeah all right let's do it up since like I don't even know what time did you get up this morning 5 a.m and immediately texted me did you say s Taylor Swift just got a new album coming out did you see it's named I'm like oh boy here we go it's in it's on I you actually couldn't believe it I was like I was thinking about it because I was thinking of the Super Bowl and then I was like oh Travis Kelce Taylor Swift and then then she announced a new album you know what I'm kind of excited cuz the Patriots were so bad and not even involved in any shape or form with the word uh postseason so it's nice to sit here and have something to be interested in sure it's Taylor Swift sure it's Travis Keli is it just for show is it just for this now she's got a new album out it's a whole new hype for me oh yeah I it's something new because like I didn't expect her to drop a new album considering she had Taylor's version yeah so like for me I was like H not really too sure on on that cuz like then she released that I'm like oh she is putting like new music out because the Taylor version yeah it was considered new because it was her versions but it wasn't like yeah this is completely new stuff well I'm looking forward to everything that the Super Bowl is bringing us and Nate I know is going to be talking about more Sports because that is your thing oh yeah the Skinner Sports Network yeah I got I haven't been able to get to that this past week but I got I got to get back into that get back into my Super Bowl week man we got to get it going all right what do we got coming up for Tunes I'm excited y we got the water boys the whale of oh the hole of the Moon oh the hole of the Moon y yay hey keep listening to 90.7 wkkl we'll move that a little bit cuz guess what we going to I Love It you just got like so excited I like watching your mind shift as we're talking about these things it's so fast-paced so you just got to kind of always remind yourself that there's a start there's a middle and there's an end and like what do I do at the end well we're just going to slap the call letters on there and get out of here G to close the door on the way out right yeah I I mean for me like sometimes I work like just Better Off Script than I do on script I don't know if you guys are like that yeah like yeah you put a script in front of you you you end up reading you're like well you need like bullet points right yeah it's like you got to start somewhere or have some sort of rough decision of where you're GNA go yeah well lately we've been starting with bullet points and we never get to it there's also that I don't know if that's an agent thing or a planning thing it's not an agent thing wait a minute what I always get sidetracked and it's very different from when you're on a full on live stream completely talk to where you're stopping down on the radio to formulate a nice enclosed thing oh yeah that that that was it's something I'm learning is how to like multitask I mean I'm pretty s at it but it's like especially in this environment you got to know like I talked about this so I got to transition it's all about transitions I feel like whether you're doing a morning show a radio show I feel like everything requires a smooth transition because if you're out of place people are be like what what are what you talking about right good morning rtb Mari good morning all of you she's watching us on our live stream and uh we are GNA ready to go back on the air in just a little bit uh next break campus life do you know or we're going to wait for Talis to talk about that we could probably wait for tal here oh come in my boy Talis is in the building we a great guy right Nate did a really good job of organizing a um a list of stuff talking points things we had going on sorry Professor Martin my history teacher I was doing that during your lecture because you were just talking but I had stuff to do I got stuff to do let's figure out where we're gonna put tow can move him over no he can sit right there can he or do you want me to just scooch down I just was trying to get him in the in the in the picture I can rotate down Talis all right what are we doing we moving down yeah we'll move down one everybody move down hang minut no if we move down one We're not gonna get yeah we can just like tweak the camera a little bit move down one we got to figure it out slide to the right slide to the left crisscross you if we twaa real smooth and we move Talis over a little bit towards yeah we'll be all right there we go cha cha real smooth yeah shoot and then Hank come over here a little more little bit about yourself good morning y'all my Hey so uh I'm from Brazil I'm from realer Brazil uh I'm the student body president he of for she and uh it's just a pleasure you know to use my background you know use my struggles you know everything I was able to go through in life you know uh the fear the pain so I can use everything that I went through in the past and now I use that platform to help other students so it's such a beautiful season here k k college and uh I'm just happy to be able to serve and uh and use my you know back experience to serve my community here for isn't he ready for politics that that was impressive that was really good T get a little closer to this microphone and I had the pleasure of coming in um a few weeks ago and you were talking about how you really wanted you were are like fascinated by the political landscape and actually you had a visitor here at the college yeah we had uh David ggen and we were able to uh kind of have an interview with him expectation for a generation and he's hoping that jam Z you know the caring generation will be the ones taking over the politics and uh changing America so that's what we're expecting very exciting what is going on in campus life here so uh right now we working really hard on food and security so apparently we have a lot of students that they come on campus and they're struggling with food we have a food benry which is amazing you know but students are hungry while they are taking classes right so that's why we working really hard to make sure students are not hungry and they have the right resource so they can succeed how do we support this Mission being off campus so as right now uh student government uh was able to give $155,000 to that's incredible and uh now they giving gift cards so students who who are know they are hungry they can stop by the offs and they can get a $20 gift card as well as bag of food so we try our best you know so so what you're saying is I think you need to make a donation to the college so they can uh appropriate that fund out to get to the students kind of yeah we're kind of working around try to figure out what we can do so yeah you got student government uh elections coming up right yeah yes this week so nominations close Friday and elections take over on Monday and Tuesday next week which apparently we are going to f the H stre government and that has not happened in over 20 years so I'm really excited that's exciting stuff and it's tying in with all the stuff that's going on in the world with the election we're not going to get into all of that we going to keep it small here on the campus of wkkl all right we're going to come back we're going to talk a little bit more Sports Talis you gonna hang out with us for a bit oh people think like I got to be something like Wicked spectacular and I'm like I tell people because being yourself is so much fun honestly if you're ever yourself on the radio like Steph I watch you you're always yourself and that's what makes the broadcast like just authentic and great like I appreciate that think think of your your statement lemon Ado like authentic radio listen I had to file paperwork for a nonprofit yesterday we are branching so uh M mama was not a happy girl yesterday I just have to say that I am super stressed I've got more going on than we ever have um one of our podcasts is currently taken off they're going to Africa um I know so she's doing six countries in the next month and basically dropping videos into a Google Chat so I've got to make her podcast before I do anything I do in the morning first that's c yeah I mean it's it's pretty wild and um I don't know what their connectivity is going to be like while they're having meals with the Messi tribe in Kenya or they're going to see gorillas Diane fy's gorillas they're going to an elephant orphanage uh it's like Absol oh my gosh it's absolutely insane she's cooking at the UN and meanwhile she's writing her book about cooking with grandmas around the world so she's like crushing this m worth of content and then basically downloading it to leemon Ado so that's a lot in one in one trip so I'm over here trying to organize it all before I even start my day so it's it's been a lot going on but we're excited for it who hi bring in Josh Josh is our production hi manager extraordinary how are you I love it this man's a genius all right you ever met a genius this guy right here well now I have apparently yep everybody this is Josh he's the man the myth the legend if you ever have any Tech problems this man knows what's up yes so what are you working with right now at the college Josh um I help out a lot here I take a a lot of classes with Nate the Great and uh I uh I really I like to do a lot of sweeper stuff anything production related really oh excellent I just I just I find it very fun to do stuff with Adobe Audition or anything kind of splicing audio I like the talk on the radio sometimes but it's not like I don't like to do it it's more like I just love to kind of make crazy wacky s because you're making something else it's sound effects and you're putting everything together to kind of have this whole experience rather than just audio or just video but I love it's weird because out of all the crazy Wacky Sounds I'll make I prefer to take just raw audio and just edit through like 20 minutes and just like cut out all the bits that don't need to be there kind of yeah I find that be more I don't know more fun because it's you have to be creative with it you have to take something that is very good and has lots of stuff in it that you want to hear but you got to take out all the stuff that you don't want to hear right but I do love to make some Wacky Sounds you I love it I had this this guy cracks oh absolutely I'll put you to work now hiring I seriously though I had to sit there and uh edit um audio last week where um this particular interviewer would not put an S on the end of anything so I had to find noises throughout it and add it to the end of conversations it was wild but I mean that's the power of editing you can make it sound like it should have sounded even if they left something lacking so that was that was a challenge that was my challenge last week you might want to go to your next break are you ready we gotta go let's do it we're talking Super Bowl user everybody's doing the Super Bowl Halftime it's good we got to see what the odds are the better man over here that's the I don't bet but I thought it's legal now I he's going to bet he's going to be like Usher playing yeah first s here we go which I think might be the first me just make you think so I think it's GNA be like more well you got to start with the song that's going to get you pumped up like into it I hope he plays Confessions Part Two because that song's F I don't know why you just go here we go sometimes he needs Direction well I was waiting for him because I didn't know if he was looking stuff up real quick that's all right we'll figure it out just keep just go let's see 90.7 wkkl Nate Stephanie Hank and Talis in the building live now we got the Super Bowl coming up Usher's performing Super Bowl you guys got a prediction for the first song he's gonna play I don't know you really think he's GNA come in with a bang and go with yeah I I I think it's just the right move to kind of get the crowd but that I he's definitely gonna play that at some point I don't know if it's going to be beginning or the middle yeah well it's going to be one of those things where I recently um suffered through the Madonna concert and um it was more like little Snippets of songs she didn't actually sing one full song so I know Asher is probably going to be about the same it's going to be like a minute of this into a minute of this and whatever special guests he brings along with him so I don't know if you've seen uh Apple music has been doing these like videos lately where it's like uh the most recent one was like ludicrous was like I lost Usher type yeah we haven't been able to find them like they've been doing stuff bring bring it I'm very excited if they bring ludicrous along all of your friends bring all of your friends I want to see Lil John I want to see everybody you ever collaborated with please on that stage now now do we know if the NFL pays them to do this they don't they don't anymore they do not okay they never did never did no I thought they stopped bragging rights it's endorsement deals it's um because all of their song cataloges get brought up it's just kind of one of those Prestige positions that they don't get paid for do you guys have a favorite Super Bowl halftime performance or like one that sticks out you're like that was that was solid playing as Prince yeah Prince was pretty good I would say the one that had Beyonce and brw Mars that was really good I can tell you my least favorite was the weekend really it was weird well it was during the co year it was bad did not like it I I thought like and didn't Beyonce blow up the stadium like they lost power afterwards I know was crazy that that was I think it was in that time stretch that was that was a weird Super Bowl I didn't get to watch the whole thing I was so young at the time so like I went to bed at one point and then I wake up and they're like oh yeah Super Bowl extended because the power went out I'm like I loved last year as I thought it was epic I mean dog um J person it was just amazing the way they shot it Eminem and Dr Tre it was like I think it was Rihanna last year actually was it Rihanna oh yeah that's right everybody came out in the white blow up things right everybody got upset because she announced she was pregnant in a very CRA that was her special that was her special guest yes was the baby right and she pointed to the wrong place where one shouldn't be surprised that's where babies are but people years was my favorite one I liked that one yeah Rihanna was okay she's still Rihanna and I think she's amazing regardless yeah I I think her show is well but I mean aer's gonna put on a great show well the funny thing about him doing there is he has an I think Las Vegas residency there like to perform you know the residency yep it's gonna be good either way you listening to 90.7 wkkl out here and if you're a bing person if you're a bing person he's like I got distracted I I if you're a betting person is Kansas City plus two oh it's gonna be tight oh I think so too you know I I believe on the Chiefs you know the Tor sft effect yeah no she was in Lo she was in Vegas with Travis Cy Monday right yes and then she went to Japan yeah she's not Japan but probably she got like cancel her last she's going to come back though everyone assumes yeah that's why people are expecting her to cancel her last show oh just flat out canel it she has to otherwise she won't be able to make it oh okay I thought she could get back and forth she still has one left so she might have to did you ever think that we' be here sitting talking about is Taylor Swift gonna make it to the Super Bowl or not absolutely not absolutely not for you hang did do think that that was going to happen no no that's awesome so yeah we're uh running a little bit different of a show this morning as Nate Professor Z say hi hello everyone she's in the Stream and making sure the station's situation is running properly Nate's at the helm of things over here I have nothing to do with the technical stuff which is a Nuance position for me if the show sucks just blame me all Nate you did it call 1 1800 Nate call 1 1800 this show sucks oh wait that's too long I produced it plenty in time for that later no it I I I like learning the production thing like I've seen a lot of sports shows yeah um when they put out Clips it's like I don't know if they do it through streamyard or something but um they have like their logos but it'll be like cameras of like the people talking then you might have a camera into the person who's like messing around because they might add like a a comment in every once in a while I'm like cuz those producers don't really like talk talk but like if they get asked a question from the guys or something they'll usually respond or something it's kind ofun Taylor Swift for president awesome I I remember listening to Groundhog Day it sounds like they're a very great group of people because you sounded like I heard you on the Groundhog Day podcast oh yeah you guys just had like the the is it the third anniversary already I think so it's a long time three years you guys have been back on the air which is nice oh yeah and you've been part of the program for two right uh well two semesters more like one year okay but it's straddled the year 2023 24 now right uh yeah that's true you guys didn't mention artist in that last break right no artist time okay no but I just wanted to make sure because I had to move some gotcha slide it around yeah we didn't I just looked at him and he looked panic and I was like next we're out well I got the I got the I seen Professor Z through the glass and she was like that's that means wrap it up I really don't think I was like this exaggerating but you know what that means that means you got to get out of your break oh yeah so like hold that thought hey we'll be back whatever yeah right get the heck out of here just hit the call letters and get out in a little bit too we have another um Student Government members right yeah coming in oh that's exciting Student Government elect he's trying to be elected but he's watching first oh okay you got to warm up to this crowd right anytime I think of hold that thought I just think of like the memes people come up with when they're like hold that thought hold that beer yeah he's so loud now okay he's 21 now okay con I thought that joke you made when I went to trivia not too long after it was pretty funny you're like now he's leing yeah right he's allowed you excited for your vents coming up SE no I mean it's fun while I'm there I feel like the preparation to get there is just not fun but then once you get there you put a microphone in my hand and spin me up and let me go I'm fine it's like all the buildup to get there the organizational pieces prior to then you put a mic you're like ah welcome everybody shows on let's do it like that's definitely how you'll get to be at this point when you're doing your your sport stuff or your event stuff you'll do it so many times that it's like okay now let's let's make magic let's do something let's create sometimes being in front of a mic I don't know why but it's just like you could be stressing about out all of your plan and then you you just hit the studio on and then it all comes to you and you're like wow that's not for everyone by the way and not everybody feels that way professor over here taught uh how many public speaking classes oh many many many I don't know if you knew that that's what Hank and is a Prof a Communications Professor bridgew State University BL right yeah I I think you briefly mentioned it one time on a on a broadcast I was like oh that's pretty cool yeah yeah it's fun it is how many years have you Tau nine years there nine years there 25 years Al together right but nine years there yeah my second career or my third career or his fifth career my yeah I have no idea I've had so many careers to kind of go like this but he used to teach at my high school really not when I was there though yeah I had her uncle in class dead serious crazy dead serious I took a photo and my uncle was like why are you hanging out with with with Mr Mr s wow that's crazy I know right oh yeah we found out we found out that we're from the same um we're from the same city my wife is from was born in Ador was Steph um but I I moved to alabone to work at the radio station um and we just have all these interesting connections and when Steph went back to this is one of the best stories Steph went back to a family shower yeah and and with Kad Lily and was telling people you know who I'm friends with now you know who I just met and she mentioned my name and someone said he's still alive Sharon L Sharon L O'Brien Hank said it he's still alive oh wow poor thing yeah I'm still I'm still here as far as far yeah I'm still here yeah he's still here Sharon just in case you're watching us on the live stream cuz she'll she'll pop in every every once in a while just know that that story lives forever are you uh my name is Aden Burg and I am a uh Student Government elect um I am running for public relations and I come here to talk about our big love and big support event for Valentine's Day oh I love it so what's going on so on February 14th and 15th uh at 11 o'clock to one o'clock we are having a event where it's very similar to Willy Wonka you're going to get you're going to get a chocolate bar and a QR code inside the chocolate bar and if you get a golden ticket you have a chance to win either one of two scholarships worth $1,000 what wow big deal this is this is really cool and then the runner up prizes are $50 gift cards for the Cape Cod Community College Bookstore very neat you know and my day it was like buy a carnation for a dollar like this is right this is definitely stepped up your game where Willy Wonka chocolate action going on stent government has put in so much effort to this event and it's such an impressive thing what they can put together on such I'd say short notice yeah did you have your hand in crafting any piece of this or unfortunately I did not uh due to the fact that I am an elect um but I for some reason everybody wanted me to do this I I have a good feeling people want you they want me they want me to speak on it and it's it's a beautiful moment that I get to kind of help Student Government promote such a important event because that's the step of public relations look at you aen I know Aiden well I'm really looking forward to hang out for one more uh a couple of bits of time because I want to talk to you about what made you want to be in student government besides the people wanting you of course you're listening to 90.7 wkkl I'll remove that part where Hank was singing I don't know as much as people will say it was pitchy I think it was beautiful I say you've never noticed no I've noticed but we didn't have the mic on like here the mic is on yeah no no oh no I put the mic on sometimes that's awesome on the Jazz show especially noticed oh yeah one it all the time oh yeah last Sunday last Sunday somebody played um t for two and I did you know I was song was over and I went yeah that's right folks touch t for two and two and I started yeah he's cring alive I have this habit I break out into song at the most embarrassing times I love it I'm not against it Hank all right I'm a fan all right uh we ready for another Break um gonna give it some time um no time oh good perfect the next one would be at 8:54 so um what besides that what are you running for uh public relations oh awesome so uh I actually work for I should probably save this for the air but I work for uh oh no you're on you're on oh I am no we're in a live stream so you can talk okay I'm sorry I thought we were in like a little W no no no no um so I work for the school as a Instagram intern very cool so I promote social media um and I take photos of events and I notice that a lot of events aren't covered yeah and I I want to use both student government and the Instagram to raise student morale totally that is the most important part to me yeah because if they don't know what's going on then they're not going to get involved so I like that I oh absolutely we want unfortunately eat with our eyes so you're going to want to look at Instagram it's just one of those things where it's part of culture now whether you like social media or not is it your Instagram or um husb that you scroll through I don't look at him look at right now Cap Cod Community College it's called Uh Cap Cod CC Cap Cod CC on Insta that's us it is yay k card CC all right I got it it it's you picked up another follower just now I appreciate that you're doing your job and he's already a good promoter I'm gonna call all the clubs around here you can promote everything are I love promoting clubs and uh we just had a club fair I talked to everybody on the club Fair I got their numbers and I want to make them reach out so that they can promote themselves more and with public relations I have the the aid of stent government to help with that awesome and like a true Cap Cod radio DJ I was thinking you were thinking nightclubs but there are School clubs to remind myself where same thing I thought nightclubs too and I was going to give him a list of nightclubs he shouldn't go to there are t oh yes there are there one so how many clubs does uh k Community College have roughly do you even know like while Park it's like 20 something isn't it 22 right now 22 that's awesome for a community college too a lot what kind of clubs are there uh there's clubs uh some photography trying to start up uh Talis is a part of Jesus club and uh Jesus Club I love that yeah we have a crean club on campus really good yeah all right got to spread the word you know uh of course we have radio club um we have music Club where musicians will learn how to play like acoustic guitar sing together um there's like a board game uh Club there's a Dr Dungeons and Dragons Club I love it it's there's a niche for almost every person I think it's super important my daughter is a senior in high school right now and she's choosing where she's going to go next year and you know k College very much on the table uh because it's close it's cheaper it's very affordable yeah and I like that it's affordable right exactly it's more affordable it's more attainable and I want her to know that there are so many options and opportunities for her to have that post campus life and the upside is uh there's a transfer Fair every semester and all these colleges like uh UMass Amherst uh WPI they'll come and they'll try to recruit students in the cafeteria so that's always a benefit I think it's just a reminder and a good reminder that English 101 is English 101 no matter what you paid for it or you took it you I have heard a joke about that um it somebody going to Harvard spending like 50 Grand on this English want to one class and it's the same material in a $1,000 Community College Class correct correct not to say Harvard's not yeah there's a lot of prestige that comes with that price ticket we get it right but you're planning on going to Harvard yes yeah good for you goals wow he's a genius he's smart oh my God it's crazy n I'm just keeping my 4.0 GP and you know trying to work hard just keeping a keeping a 4.0 that's all yeah so but he works hard this dude works hard yeah you have to what are you involved besides SGA and um well the uh the Jesus Club I was the one who founded uh I'm also part of the honors Club economics club which I'm I'm the vice president and now we staring back the Atlanta club which is a diverse Club you know Asian African ameran americ and if you are like um Native American and anything related to culture and adversity so we getting that back and I'm also I support a lot you know I like to serve that's my thing so I also help at the food pantry in y on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I I volunteer so I do my best with the time I have yeah so you know I'm in my 20s so I I want to use my my strength for something that really matters right adorable he's just a b baby right I love it wow as long as you're not one of those students with a 4.0 who who and this has happened to me who tell their Professor that I can't get anything less than an a because you're going to ruin my GPA and they do that at the start of the semester oh gosh oh it's horrible it's hell it's hell you know they get a 92 as opposed they're dumping their expectations you they get a 92 as opposed to a 97 which as opposed to and they're ready to go to the top of the classroom building jump do work like calm down guys calm down you're right you're right I just love to study yeah that's just my thing these are hard work there are worst things there are worse things definitely right all right we're GNA get back to radio here at wkkl everybody on our live stream um so we're g to talk to you I I I don't even know who I have on the show
