AJ Hapenny and Josh Adams on Marathon Monday kicks off with comedy

I really stopped at CL I did not fabulous I'm what I just had a visual had a proud of it hello good morning look at us on a Monday two comedians relatively on time yep that was the that was the best compilation I've ever seen of anything I've ever seen in my life Hi how are you good the the riveting book club sound bite listen we need to change them out all right why you choose those out of all of them like this is the best stuff I think that they were just like the downloaded ones that I grabbed first and I was you know I'm limited for time down here I'm a production team of one and I get no money out of making my own intros oh it shows shut your mouth I'm not here to be made sport of you're supposed to come here and entertain me don't you understand this yeah but but like that compilation I mean come on all right AJ how's your weekend uh is this gonna be part of the compilations yes it might be so better before just cut off before the lab yes uh hu huge Weekend Comedy just came back from doing shows in New York uh Josh Josh watched over red nun did a pinball Expo this weekend I was wondering where the hell that those whether it was a Snapchat or something that I was looking at of yours and I was like where is he it was in Malboro which is where I assume that they made the cigarettes oh no but that's that's what that's what I kept telling them like congratulations you create Anda good job you did a great job everyone's dying dying to get in here it was a pinball Expo it was a pinball X I saw the machines and I was just wondering what what is happening here I didn't know if it was some sort of weird ComicCon I didn't know about um it's it's a pinball equivalent of ComicCon they they had a um they had a display of Happy Gilmore they had the Happy Gilmore pinball machine and they had a chub's hand and a rest in peace oh I'm not mad about that yeah it was it was the most adorable thing I've ever seen in my life so Rand memorabilia good morning Nate thanks for joining us on the show this morning were just playing like the who the whole time um oh they they they actually had uh they actually had a couple who machines and um they had like five different Jaws pinball machines they were actually trying to find a deaf dumb and blind kid but they got just a dumb kid put that in the compilation we go silence afterwards just silence just add all of Josh silence in the compilations Appo for we we heard just what Tommy would have heard we um that that was uh put together by our good friend Josh filipowski like to laugh comedy shout out to Josh and then uh had on um Gary Peterson uh myself and Mr KZ and uh what a great show as as well as Trent Wells um Mr KZ great headliner and um originally him and I were not supposed to be on the show because we saw the original poster and then we saw that uh KZ was replacing another black comic and I was replacing a different Asian comic shut up yep it's like wow and then we just took pictures next next to it like see see I'm the replacement Asian Comics so I'll be playing the part of Peter Lou it's like right from the office yeah Asian gym so ridic I'm jungle Asian gym they just didn't think anybody would notice like the first two episodes of new girl like just ch Chang people oh yeah that's right they had a different black guy it was it was Damon wayes Jr in the first episode and then they're just like we're just gonna change him out he's he's he's got stuff coming down the pipe let's throw somebody else a job and so Random did they give him the same name I I I don't know I didn't really was still nobody notices anything look away everyone so you got a big show coming up this week and I'm excited for it Frank sarelli which always sells out he's a very funny dude yep for from from The Sopranos you gotta say it that way right or it doesn't take ex ex exactly like even uh Mike Mike Clark from uh Giggles Comedy Club you say you gotta save Frank sanelli from The Sopranos otherwise otherwise it's not gonna sell it's not real a lot of the time you actually have to go farther than that is so from The Sopranos who who you know the guy who got beat with the phone in the strip club like and then they're like oh yeah I know you're right you know the guy that got beat by with an ice bucket I'll pay 25 Bus and a chain and a chain and a chain and a h one of those uh Billy Bass fishes how are all of our moms and dads out there surviving April vacation is here we kicked it off with a bang in my house my son decided to swallow the top of a soda can the wait tab oh the tab thing is it a tick tock dare that's what I asked no it was actually an accident cuz he's an idiot it was like one of those tall like uh ice Arizona Iced Tea things and it broke off into the thing and then he forgot about it he gaming takes a big SG of it swallows it so he's not following Trends he's just a [ __ ] okay 100% all on his own uh luckily his bestie was here so the two of them were just gigle monsters inside of the ER as we had to go there I thought you know we just let it pass call the doctor no no he needs to come in what well well it could be hanging from his esophagus we need to make sure where it is so they're they're um Imaging him can't find it then they send him back in with another one to see what it would look like under the Imaging like I did not feel super warm and fuzzy about our the care for that let's see what it looks like when you hold it so we know what we're looking for not exactly a a wonderful moment uh what flavor of Arizona so we can plug it I don't even know what that garbage is the green tea one okay right low the low sugar green tea yeah yeah the green tea one my favorite one is the black and white one which is only available at the convenience D near Josh's house so I me that's the only reason he comes over yeah pretty much it's literally a cult following These Foolish drinks have it it it it is and it's uh Al also bottled in Arizona despite what uh this this other comic Cousin Dave he say yeah the Chinese they pee in it and then they serve it to you I'm like dude you you can't believe every iracy website that you read although I the internet is chalk full of some serious garbage at this point in time so so the the the fact that an Asian country is is peeing in Arizona IC te oh that's real yeah is is probably the less craziest thing that we off the internet I was just looking at the news over the weekend it was definitely a slow news weekend but also there is there is enough there was enough I've seen enough what we have on the doctor first I only watched 48 Hours of news coverage this weekend why why because I had I do you like to be upset dude look at his face yeah exactly are you saying look at my nose that's why my big whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa G I said face I said face I might have meant nose but still face everybody put your belts on let's go we have the comics on so you know what that means geopolitics wild let's um I will say this uh we are kind of sandwiched in between like uh porum and Passover okay two Jewish holidays where we celebrate not getting enslaved or murdered right so you're on high alert right now given the facts of what's happening over there well yeah I mean after like the whole like Iran attack this weekend yeah like all right Jew we have Hanukkah where we spend eight days celebrating a lamp staying lit how we don't have like Iron Dome day I I just Iron Dome that sounds I'm watching we are the lucky ones right now very disturbing have you watched it it's on Hulu no what's what's that one it's just about this one polish Jewish Family and like all of the everything that went H like every everything that happened to them it's really not uplifting at all but I'm fascinated by it and I'm actually learning about like the Vichy situation and like just actually more of historical uh encounters so I was like oh okay now I really get it you know when you're sitting there with history and you're hearing it I'm helping my kids study for it then all of a sudden when you watch it played out dramatically you're like oh that's why that was so bad I get it now that terrible well seeing anything in like a book is one thing but then actually you know kind of visualizing and and maybe even watching suffering being played out in real life is just not exactly up left to get here I am watching this and my husband gets so mad at me why are you watching this it's so depressing you're sitting here crumbled up crying I'm like I know but it you need to know what it felt like this is what you do when you watch the news I I have a stake in it I feel so that's fair I'm looking at some of the comments right now uh Jameson Horton writes iron Dome is a go-to pro wrestler move and rtb calling me 9-year-old with internet access on the loose listen AJ thought I was talking about the wrestling move it wasn't it wasn't so yeah you you had a tough weekend although you ended up over at the red none how was that show uh it was it was fun it wasn't like our our biggest I love how you said it like Mario it was a it was a fun it was a good time um we said a let go they can't all be bangers all the time sometimes they're just like all right it was just a a little bit light on the audience but I mean JJ Jones is hilarious I think everybody's away I think people were like bleep it I'm going to Florida like I I don't know it's April vacation week so I think a lot of people are away I know that uh the mash me girls lacrosse team didn't even have enough girls to have a game we have nobody here I don't know where you've all gone to but I'm jealous enjoy your time in the sun and a way yeah the last three shows were bangers they they were they were packed to the rafter so so we're like H the fourth one might be light in in a in a row it happens it was funny because like my my family went away for vacation they in Mexico with her her parents and uh I was like I have to stay home because I have to work the red nun and three people showed up yeah right you're like I'm so so glad so glad but I get the house to myself for like 10 days so and no one's complaining about that that is right there some some gold for sure so it's Patriot Monday it was on my bucket list at one point in my life to run the Boston Marathon that is gone that that is off the table yeah how how about each of us run like a third of that 26 I'm down if we had like a relay team involved I would I would do that just for the excitement just in case we'll put Josh in the last third of he gets all the glory uh yeah sure but he gets all the glory but he gets all the risk too but I'm totally prepared because my my nipples are already he's ready for it dude he's like Andy Bernard in the marathon he's like the chafing I got old we'll put some Band-Aids on them and send them out it'll be fine it'll be good it's also Titanic Remembrance Day Too horrible entertainment like like life changing moments I guess do you need Titanic Remembrance Day I'm sure to remember those people that blew up in the submersible what that's what this is for right what were they going down to reminder reminder right yeah because the Titanic total fictional movie none of those events happened whatsoever so I don't know why they were searching for it the submersible forgot about those I I keep I have too much money I have too much money I don't know what to do with it let's do this it's not it was a yeah well they should have spent a little more money on the controller cuz I because my Uncle Bobby bought the same one from Logitech for $30 and then that's what they use for a subal I kept trying to convince Josh for years to make his own subb brain and and go to the bottom but he just wouldn't do it safe there I couldn't afford the Atari controller I love one button the one button I loved it we just get like lose all the skin on the top of your hand from moving the joystick was ridiculous and then then and then you have and then instead of doing this you just do this right uh the good times the games the magic the memories but the Atari Jaguar was the best system by far uh really was that the first one no that was the last one and it was the last one for a reason they they said oh yeah Super Nintendo sure you got Mar but that's 16 bit we got 64bit like yeah but where my Gamers at they're like we're asleep we had monster Celsius isn't that the the big drink now that everyone's freaking out about we had we had Baja Blast it kept us up till so gross I I I actually I actually I actually like the Baja Blast four Locos of the world that's fair uh today is also the 50th abary 50 years of ABA everybody when they came on euro vision and sang waterl and everybody in the world fell in love with them it's too early in the morning for no no waterl for you even my 17 almost 18yearold daughter is obsessed with the mam Mia movement of ABBA like it won't go away that's one of the um singing acts this summer at the Barnstable County Fair everybody well I was gonna go I just got the lineup looking it's looking pretty sweet hopefully JY Blossom shows up again no no we're older this year like we've got like the Box Tops and Asia right but they decide to sing their their new hits we want to sing he the moment they're like nope no we're not doing it again seeing room temperature of the now like come on man I am very much looking forward to all of like the side stuff you know there's always the fair there's the rides right there's the food but I'm looking forward to like the agricultural stuff like Betty so and so who KN knitted this quilt and it was like the best quilt and then so and so this quilts out of my grandmother's back hair right I whatever there is so it's so weird and I find it so weirdly fascinating also the people that are like getting ribbons for their vegetables like so and so grew this largest Zuki or this is the prize Pig like I enjoy these moments very much so good morning Emily we're doing very well this morning Erin says as much as I wanted to hear these two I got to work with a newborn and four-year-old to listen to later thank you she said Stephanie good luck next to Josh thank you aen yeah always adds a lot to the conversation for Ain even when she's not here you're still ripping on her she starts it every time on the on the the chat it's it's kind of true kind of true so what does a comedian group chat go like we we can't talk how many of you people are on the group chat I'll I'll I'll I'll tell I'll tell you this if if you look at the like the past 20 um uh text in any comedian conversation that's enough to cancel yeah that's yeah it's enough it's always Kyle though it's always Kyle no one's surprised by this pinball Expo so Random how did you find yourself at this event oh it was a Josh filipowski that booked us and he likes to book a diverse lineup and I I I kind of was thinking did just check that box yeah I was kind of thinking who am I replacing last minute I said oh Chinese comic Peter Lou you have a big to-do this summer you are actually going to be at the melody tent yes I am July 21st at 5 p.m. there's 80% of the tickets are already sold isn't that wild how exciting yeah yeah it's it's it's very exciting uh I've been I've been waiting for this opportunity for 10 plus years and how you got it was pretty pretty cool how'd I get it uh so how did that happen for those of you who weren't lucky enough to be there AJ had his birthday show at uh at knockabout which is where our uh Frank santarelli show is going to be on Thursday Frank santarelli from The Sopranos yep thank you the whole thing and uh I'm getting ready to go up and I get bumped by the amazing Brian glowaki he is if you haven't seen Brian he's very funny he's one of the best and he did he did his time and at the end of his time he's like I came here for AJ's birthday to ask him in front of all you if he'll do the the melody tent that's amazing and yeah it was Prett cool it was it was great I tried to play it off cool but like my dad could tell in instantly he's like yeah you were thrown off by it like well because you were totally a surprise yeah he's like trying to do a set through Tears like happy tears yeah no like my my dad even pointed out he's like yeah you had you had an offset I could tell you're off I said well it was a combination of that and Kyle Lynch and Lloyd Legacy sharp chanting thank you AJ like it's a pro wrestling thing and like guys no I only have eight minutes like like guys please don't it's appreciated Kyle but like oh my god um and I tried to play it off cool when glowaki asked me on stage I said well I gotta check my calendar gotta move some stuff around but I think I'll make it he's just also an incredible human being where he just like bets on himself like I'm GNA rent out the melody tent and I'm G to sell it out so like it's almost sold out and that's like right away it started selling like especially once they put the picture of AJ getting fired out of a cannon that's really what skyrocketed ticket right there God three sections sold out what's happening under the big top because like I would have to be like Homer Simpson where like they they shoot a cannonball at my stomach people know this is not a circus it's just a couple of comedians yeah well well they'll they'll they'll they'll they'll know when it happens tomato tomato I feel it'll be my Homer Simpson moment where like Bono's on stage and kicks me off he's like don't worry AJ will get the help he needs in the Name of Love I'm getting my ass this is this is definitely going to be a show to watch definitely grab your tickets to that one and also the melody tent is just a great place to see comedy there's not many people that I like to go to the melody tent to see but it's comedy shows one of my favorite places to see it just because it's the revolving stage in the com in the round is fun yeah most of the time they don't know kind of what to do with it or where to face and how awkward it is so it's more fun for me to watch how they handle themselves in that situation oh that's why I'm doing as many sets as I possibly can uh I am doing anywhere between seven to 10 sets if uh a week if I can yeah um just get the Reps in yeah get the Reps in if if I'm not doing comedy every single day do something to make up for I think that you mentioned that is worth having a little conversation about like just the practice the putting in the the the work as far as that goes I think a lot of people just think that all right I'm naturally funny or I can do this whatever your job is and I'm sure you are naturally funny but you got to refine that [ __ ] and if you don't if you don't think you can refine that then we can't help you good luck you're Patrice O'Neal already yeah if if you think if you think you're just naturally funny and you can get up and do it just come to any of our shows we will throw you up for five minutes and show you how wrong you are it's it's fun for us it's a lot of fun for us I think there's something also to H be comfortable to sit in the uncomfortable that pregnant pause that joke that you threw that didn't get the laugh you thought it was going to have when you're just sitting there just feeling so awkward and uncomfortable what do you do do you have like a a thing that you tell yourself in your brain or you just like got just yeah I told myself my edi's kicking in now and now and now maybe it's now just disassociate just have a total out of body right no it's funny uh a was it like two years ago we had this guy at the red nun come up to AJ and like yeah used to do stuff and entertainment and I always wanted to do comedy and AJ's like I'll throw you on the next red none go write some stuff and he was like no I'm just funny guy I'll just go up and do it and I spent the rest of the night after the show at the red nun seeing this guy posting live videos walking home from the venue threatening to throw himself in front of a car and part of me was like you you maybe should oh that's awkward Jesus no I didn't go that far I called him and I was like dude I told you you should write jokes and go to open mics and you didn't listen to me and you thought that standup comedy is just go up and say things and people will laugh and they all want to have no they want you to be good but even someone who's been doing it for a decade is like no I got to do it every day I got to get myself ready it's like flexing that muscle for Anything could happen at the show and I need to be on it's it's like uh did you ever watch uh Comedians in Cars yeah yeah and like there's uh the episode where Jerry had on uh Eddie Murphy talking about how he wanted to get back but like he'd have to go back and start from the beginning and go to the clubs and work on the material and like he's one of the most naturally funny people in the world ever and he needs to go flex that muscle some nobody from wherever who's never been in front of a crowd is going to be able to go up and and it's super disrespectful and we hate you he's also got a different level of problems because when everybody expects a certain set from you and you're trying out new material or trying to move on with whatever it was or you don't want to do that kind of Comedy anymore because your life is different yeah back to what you're you you're saying Stephanie with um uh PE people going up and thinking that they're naturally funny if you if you're able to bring people I'll put you on a red nun like maybe maybe once but if you don't respect the comics and you don't respect uh the time and you're talking dur during other people's sets uh you're only you're only gonna last for so long that's so rude and did uh I and um you were talking about the pausing of the jokes uh what do you do when um when nobody laughs like where do you go there was one guy that was repeating the joke again and again there's no hiding so gu well there there was this Chinese man like oh here go heard the first time it wasn't funny we didn't laugh it's awkward uh Nate says even Dave Chappelle still works on his comedy skills even though he's really funny yeah yeah everyone does he does he does those hour specials a hundred times I actually saw a very funny one the other day from a comedian I never seen before but has been in the business forever now I can't remember his name Dan something um but it's it's new it's on Netflix uh just a total dweeby geeky dude but just very very funny and his comedy style is very observational like a Seinfeld and just I was like where has this guy been he's actually very funny I like the fact that it was new material but it wasn't like laugh out loud funny it was just observational humor that I would in watch for a full hour was the crowd laughing they were okay yeah yeah yeah well that that's what that's what matters as long as the live crowd is laughing it do you find it hard to out like belly laugh at some of the comedy that you've seen over and over and over sure that that's that's why comedy is different from music because comedy you go to a show just to see to see the new stuff from people you like and when you go to see a musical artist you go to see the hits yeah yeah that's true the the funny thing with us is we've all hung out so much that we know each other's laughs and NE Nester uh Nester has my favorite laugh that isn't my mom's but like a lot a lot of us have very distinctive laughs and you only really hear the other Comics like belly laugh in the back of the room when things are going arai okay like uh like you're messing up this is not if you're messing up nobody's laughing and all you hear is like Al christto is laughing in the back of the room you're like I'm really doing bad yeah because Al only laughs when we're bombing oh that's rotten but also funny oh hilarious makes it makes you a better comic you get through that oh my God you suck so awkward but it's like yeah like if I do something and and I deviate a little bit from where the bit might usually go that's usually when I'll hear AJ laugh the hardest or I'll hear Nester in the back of the room because you switched it up and you made it so that you it wasn't what they were expecting from you or or when somebody like abandons a joke midship Nester and I are laughing our asses off in the back we're not saying any names yeah we're not We're Not Gonna mention hoton I knew it I knew how did I know it was gonna be him poor hon because you've had him on your show before like for H he didn't do anything to anybody he's like Stephanie do you like grocery stores no moving on shout out to Chris hoton our good friend oh my God on so uh Planet Fitness getting death threats over the weekend I 40 Planet Fitness death threats because of their stance of not taking a stance on a trans situation oh I don't think it's wokeness I think it's laziness and they like yeah just just do do whatever I don't think it's virtual signaling at all yeah no I it's it's just very bizarre to me that that would be a Target yeah yeah because uh they say hey you're a woman with a big old floppy penis that's bigger than my husband's so obviously I'm gonna be mad it's a place where you go and you spend $20 for the rest of your life because you don't know how to cancel the membership but also you can go and shower I think my husband always says he's going to the gym but really he just goes there to sit in the massage chair I do the same thing and gets a little bit Tanner dude that come with the bagel every once in a while that 25 bucks a month is worth the massage shares and like I've I've used plant Fitness to shower more than I've used used to work out like especially when I'm traveling for shows well that's another good little perk of your little travel membership right there I could use said have a good workout I'm here to shower I'm going to be out in 15 minutes so wait is come on the road is Planet Fitness still a judgment free zone if I'm judging you now but well you're not in planed Fitness right now right I'm just saying fine no purple right there is a lunk alarm and your penis your huge penis Josh is making me insecure and I'm going to put on that lunk alarm right now this not the first time I've heard this so do you think those uh bomb threats caused a lunk alarm too like they get called and they just pressed it something happened no it was it was another bomb threat it just like there's a transginger that was in on thing I think it was really just like they called in the bomb threat because Tony couldn't find an Open Bench oh Tony Kabab biano shout out to Tony Kabab biano he's a jacked comic uh he's way more jacked than he is funny uh but we love Tony well that's what you said when you're getting the lineup you kind of have to have one of everybody you work on your diversity and the fact that Tony calano got funnier I absolutely hate because we can't damn it we can't rip on him as much for not being that funny he'll beat you up too exactly I had an old roommate that was sizing up Tony when he was hammered like dude Tony will kill you I saw one of your one of your current roommates and jamming out it was a daytime dance party uh I loved it thean night Society one of my favorite bands if you've not gotten a chance to go see them cape's most dangerous band well then again nobody's fought them for that title in the in the longest time yeah that that contest just went away I think that went away with the rock babe I know what happened yeah yeah that's that's that's that's [ __ ] I will start a band with a xylophone do you hear that Matt with xylophone dude I will have a xylophone and I will have a freaking cowbell he's coming I got a cowbell somewhere on this desk I'll hook it up right there we got you Kyle Bell D I will beat your Beetle songs any day just AJ with like a fman the I would pay money for that if you learned how to use a fman i I would watch that dude and then Josh will bring in a digy do and we will win Thurman and digy do I'm down it's it's it's a combination you wouldn't expect to really sing and I think that you and both of your acting abilities could really pull it off for at least one tune yeah I feel like you should end a show or start a set of standby me oh oh they've been holding that in why are these stupid stories even coming to light like it was a slow news weekend and we're like what could we talk about he was getting into character yeah he's a method actor what could we talk about that movie came out what was it 1982 or was it 87 I I feel like it was 86 or seven but I and and then like now they've been holding on and just like oh kefir he's about to he's about to host Saturday Night Live I've been holding on to this we could have done this before the premere of 24 we we could have done we could have done this but but like but but no well him being such a bully is actually what killed River Phoenix oh Josh that's why nobody said anything you're G get this whole show cancelled he didn't say that he was just reminder everybody today's the last day my husband was on the phone with my 23y old asking all kinds of tax questions nothing like waiting until the very last oh so still a dependent a dependent that's not depending I don't get any benefit out of that anymore it's just now needy the the one benefit is being able to hold it over her head no I don't get any of the educational credits anymore she's just gone and now she just continually needs things it's great parenting it never ends everyone it never ends she she she is the Ryan Howard of the family always always I love you she's not listening she's on California time anyway just just just like Jess is in Mexico time right now which is like 4 am right now it's an it's like an hour earlier yeah it depends on where you are in Mexico I like to OV exaggerate everything shocking y um all right what else is going on in the world we've got a ton of activities happening here at lemon Ado events on cape.com is where you can keep up with it's always on the same nights that we have red none oh yeah so I love I love trivia a big I I love trivia I just hate the people that do it does that make sense hey especially the people that put it together listen we work very hard we have writers tables once a month and you let people cheat you see people molesting their phones no I actually encourage people to tell on them I make it absolutely everybody W keep your eyes you encourage people to be a n i do absolutely I give them my snitches get scratch tickets how it works at my team absolutely you want them to tell each other are you or are you not a KN a what a knock one of the best standard Bullock in the heat so good oh and Tony uh from that movie uh he'll be with us in situ uh next next month on you guys are always having ridiculous shows in finding yourself in the most bizarre situations Tony V just got a a big madeup award at the Boston Comedy Festival we got to see that last was thees shout out to Jim MC it was just like the Lifetime Achievement Award but they kind of threw it together and just had like Lenny Clark and Steve Sweeney a couple other people Bill Burr sent in a video dying no he's he's just the thing is Stephanie what you just said the way that it was presented and this is by our our our good comedy friend Jim Jim M who run who runs the boss Comedy Festival does a great job but I had one note um when it said this is a celebration of life for Tony ve like he's not dead yet right I feel like that that's great we should all celebrate while we're alive while we could all get that accolades while we could see how much of an impact we've made on everybody's life absolutely throw yourself awake that's great yeah just do it Tuesdays with Mory like but just now exactly I myself found myself in that situation over the weekend Friday where I got the golden microphone over there which I feel was just a really a madeup award to be like thank you I love how that microphone is circumcised right at the end there's no wires hanging out of there yeah but there's a scar in the middle oh right but it was actually just a very unexpected Rando award that I got on Friday and I feel as if it was you know made up to make me feel good for volunteering but it's fine either way see Look it's even got the three prongs even even got even got the three prongs in that it looks like the golden microphone the golden dipped microphone so I did I did thank them for that but I was unexpected and when you get things unexpectedly you feel and that's why I was in an awkward thing where I I was like thank you can be not look at me anymore thank you goodbye good good job to uh four c's for Mak making a good and making it an actual sure um right sure 58 microphone instead of that old timey [ __ ] much better sm58 that's actually a functioning microphone so we appreciate that one one of the best one of the only ones that I will allow people to use around me H the rest of them stink have you ever been on a a situation where you're in a live mic thing and it just like the mic sucks so bad oh yeah that's why I always that's always bring a sure an extra sure sm58 where they're like no no we have the equipment and you're like oh no please but that's if I'm closing out but if I'm not closing out in the microphone [ __ ] I just like I'm just gonna do my set and leave oh okay like I made the mistake of doing things like uh having the cordless mic on a show where Mike mcth he there and he hits himself in the head with the mic a lot and that'll turn the mic off because any cordless mic that isn't a sure it's it's it's G it's gonna it's it's gonna pop right the feedback yeah and like one bang against Mike McCarthy shout out to Mike McCarthy who we're doing a Cinco de Mayo show on Cinco de Mayo uh not April 4th like he was telling people before D cuz B how bad is your Spanish when you don't know that it's the 5th of may like yeah Mike um he told Nester matu he told our good friend Nester then he's like hey do you want to do my CCO de Mayo show it's April 4th and he told him no I can't and then um I was talking to Nester hey you're doing the Cinco Deo show with us he's like no I can't I'm like Nester you told me yesterday you go CCO de Mayo off and he said yeah I do have C Deo off but just not I'm not going to do his accent now but not CCO d Brill that's awful poor nest and it's Quadro it's not even Soo it's wrong April 4th that's terrible this is this is why we don't book The Irish to do Mexican holiday so bad cause cause uh Nester was the only Latino comic he could get uh we're gonna get Mike to do a a St Patty's Day show in [ __ ] September why not it's like halfway halfway to Patty's day it's actual celebration we'll make it happen I love Mike he's he's the best I don't care what day it is dude but Mike Mike's Mike's a good egg he's been a great mentor to the south short scene he's he's he's awesome we got the golden microphone the golden Bachelor their marriage has fallen three months into it it's it it lasted three months longer than I thought it would I mean I mean good good good for him but also the golden Bachelor is attached to his uh to his deceased wife I want to know what happened I heard he was a terrible husband well she was also a radio DJ too so that should tell you enough no no that's not that's not the one that's not the one he didn't choose that one who did you choose he chose like the the New Jersey housewife oh the radio DJ was like third place oh she was the best I don't even think he slept with her I think he slept with the second one that he told was going to the younger one that was like a fitness person oh but then ended up with Teresa Teresa who just I I never got it but I was oddly fascinated I've never watched a full Bachelor Bachelorette ever never maybe the Chris Lampton season just because like we were personally friends at the time um but at the time we'll circle around back to that just friends oh oh I thought something something something happened like yeah real he's like all busy now he's got babies you know Payton he's just busy and he's a selectman like he's doing actual real good stuff in our community um but I've this one I was invested in for some reason and I don't know why I think I loved all of the women that he was dating I thought once again when you're dating people in a herd it's just an awkward situation oh sure and then when you're like we like Nana making out on National Television it's just a really it's just a creepy weird vibe that I couldn't not watch D but the best was uh when one of the contestants said hey I want to take you to meet my parents and she took him to a cemetery that didn't happen that Happ fun that happened top comedy right there that is Steve Brule level of Comedy so bad it was I just couldn't tear myself away from it and it was just really prob probably the worst television ever so now now I feel like I wasted all my time watching the whole like Iran Israel thing when I could have been watching important things right all right so many more important things in life than that the golden bachor like it Trump doesn't that stress you out though I can't watch stuff like that I don't like to be feeling like I'm having a panic attack good morning o places hey Lauren what's up couple of comedians in the studio today what could go wrong opening up my violin that I haven't played since sixth grade and start just playing Fiddler on the Roof opening for Josh how fun that would be I feel as if I might need to do that at one point just somewhere somehow randomly be in the audience and just start it th this Thursday at knockabout see before Josh is set won't even tell him just sbody all of a sudden just comes out of somewhere I'm with it I'm so with it well we'll have we'll have you play it after Chris is set which realistically Chris is gonna do three minutes and get off the stage and then you can and then you can do violin after shout out to Chris Chris runs a great show at aquatic on Friday do um so so make it obviously make it to the 18th which is a Frank santarelli and if you have more in you make it to the 19th on do you have a place Tim huh Tim Tim Champa Yeah Tim Champa oh he's hysterical Tim Tim Champa is one of my favorite joke writers in Boston if not my favorite joke writer he's that guy he won an award comedian in Boston he is such a beast yeah he is he is so funny one of the best joke writers one of the best off the cuff one of the best Heckler killer I mean I've seen him once but it's been it's been like a couple of years so I definitely would like to pick up a new show so um I think we're running a special now yeah on tickets uh it's a 48 hour special it's it's two it's two two for one almost turned 30 off and on love of my life and she passed away and it took me so long to get like get o start to get over it and move on with my life and trying to pull things together OJ never let
