great yeah at least for I there are other places that are getting walloped at least it's not us this time so yes now we were in Rhode Island yesterday we took my mother-in-law out to lunch they're not on school break this week they're on break I think next week interesting yeah because because Megan was saying um that the restaurant is crowded this week and then like a week or so later it's crowded again and she always has to remember oh yeah these These are Rhode Island people now coming to the cape Rhode Island what's up Julie Island V thank you very much for joining us from sunny Florida I'm very jealous I wish I was there tell me it's warmer how warm is it where you are right now I know it's 18 degrees here just in case you wanted to know what it is outside like that's the thing about pretty pretty skin peeling when I was at Chipwrecked on Tuesday and I'm like oh my God being by the ocean with that wind chill oh I didn't think of that not fun they ended up cancelling their Polar Plunge yes saw because they actually were concerned for people's well-being right and I thought that that was a good choice good morning Cindy and as I've said before it is the coolest time to be over from fth Heights because there's no re there yeah it is just it's it's it's great it's a little creepy a little Eerie how are things in Province Town my friend he said it's 25 in P toown right now was such a fun it was such a fun game really our three couples that entered one had been together for two years one had been together for 11 years and one had been married for 38 so it was a good swath of relationships yep and uh our younger couple ended up winning over all George and Beth we ended up giving you another gift card and thanks to our friends over at Captain Parker's uh gave them another gift card for their win um so it was just a it was very funny and the thing the question that got him yeah shoe size what is your partner's shoe size I'm not sure right so there brush up pal I'm not sure I I barely remember mine he's like five she's like I wear a George now that's a discrepancy big big time Big He said seven and it was really eight okay but it no so we did it like the Newly Weds game we asked some fun stuff and one of them one the younger couple felt very awkward about talking about intimacy which I appreciated she's like can you cut that out if you're going to post that he said where was the spiciest place you guys got into to it it was very funny because Beth was like on a boat and George was like giving us the whole scene the whole background where it was the air temperature what was happening that day I was like leave it to the guy to be very sentimental about this moment apparently it was a good moment so in a pool on Andor on a balcony there you go we had our spiciest moment conversation oh I love it not that old yeah we just had valad because what did you two love birds end up doing for Valentine's Day nothing yeah nothing no it's it's like it gets to the point where it's like it's Valentine's Day yeah I mean I went out and I bought flowers for her and I got a candy heart for for for Mariana and Happy Valentine's Day and then and then on you go it doesn't super cute after after a while it doesn't doesn't mean anything anymore well it is one of those Hallmark holidays so yeah no no it is you should be celebrating your love all the time right that's correct and and we must remember St Valentine that's why that's what it's named after St Valen nothing will beat the year that we were actually in Ireland and went to the church in which St Valentine is supposedly remains are oh really and this we did this on Valentine's Day my husband had no idea he's like why are we in a church is that one of those places where the where the with the blood liquor FES we were fine everything was fine but it it ended up being like a really kind of cool historically fun yeah cool Valentine's Day then we went up to Guinness afterwards and had a had a Guinness at the top of the tower of uh their their R it was kind of cool nothing will beat that Valentine's Day I can't even compete with that good morning Miss Lauren hi Thomas Tatiana thanks uh I was like I don't miss driving back and forth the highest three times a day yep I'm sure my daughter was in school there I had to do it for work since we moved here if we go into the the today real estate office we have a longer commun yeah a whole 15 minutes whole 15 minutes as opposed to five how are things at the village quiet yeah quiet a lot of people are gone they're not they're not back yet somebody was looking to stir the pot on the Towny page oh really oh is anybody out there living over at The Villages I've got some questions I was like this one's waiting to stir the pod on the town page I didn't see that so I'm watching it I didn't see that I didn't type in follow because you know social media right now is kind of a cesspool for me I think a lot of people are taking a cleanse of their social media for all the nonsense that is happening what I don't understand is where are these alleged news sites popping up alleged news news site news news NWS not Nu gotcha um but where are they coming from I Didn't follow them I didn't stop on their page ever yeah and all of a sudden there's this new one that's popping up called NTD yes news have you seen that one no NTD stands for new Tang Dynasty it's all you need to know F all you need to know folks you're getting Chinese news now Tang as in the the Tang Dynasty from whatever and this interesting and this American news source is named after a Chinese dynasty okay for what you will interesting yep whatever I was I once again have created my own little bubble and I love it welcome you're here if you're here off with a bang this week I absolutely died reading the sandwich police blotter so good well we've got two here a family member notified another member that they had received a photo of their of their member member the alleged owner of said body part called police to report he did not send the photo sandwich police kicking it off with a DP let's do it and was now being blackmailed to the threat of sending more photos of said member to other family members that's so clever the way they right the man was told that if he in fact did not send the photos of his member it was a scam and if he did it would be a crime under blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah what's not explained here is who has the pictures Hank wanted to know he wanted to see it just for I don't know not posterity but just to be sure had to oppose for pictures of his you know they got where did they come from where did they come from who's got them nobody's blackmailing you for your DPS and well who's calling the police on this one but but it gets better it gets better officers were dispatched for a verbal disagreement with family members when they arrived the argument had already come to a head and the issue had stemmed from someone eating all the broccoli who calls the police over a broccoli fight everyone was calm when the parties agreed to Branch out to different parts of the home for the rest of the even I really just don't believe it no one's fighting over broccoli I really disagree no it's like fighting over spinach you just don't do it it's not that important I bet you they were fighting over weed and didn't want to say it that good then they told the police brockly you know I didn't think of that that's a real possibility a real Poss no one's fighting over broccoli SM on my that's it that is a fight that I could see happening a fight over actual broccoli that you eat I disagree disagree I think they were not forthcoming with the sandwich Police Department today is National muffin day it's also cherry pie day oh well that's why there were cherry pies in the store were they left over from Valentine's Day it's like it's red but it is naal cherry pie day it struck me that there were cherry pies in the in the in the story yesterday we went to um when we're in rhod Island we went to Dave's Market okay which is really cool yeah to get some rhod Island pizza I love it no cheese which is the cold just sauce no no cheese and they had cherry pies and I'm thinking why well now you know Cherry P sure okay yeah so presidential week Delight have you noticed there aren't a lot of presidential sales this year I haven't seen a lot of ads I got one mailer yeah from a vehicle place with the President's Day Sale yeah but that was it yeah yeah even on even on social media on RV there's usually more President Day sales with furniture stores and and car dealers and all of that and they just maybe they feel like that we should know the drill maybe if you need something you'll get something or maybe they just don't want to talk about presidents at all yeah not going there is one of our rounds of trivia this week if you're joining us I know Bri is going to be out over at DJ's family Wings in Falmouth so definitely go see our friend Bri and uh she's got a little bit of presidential trivia for you just one of them's a picture here's this President do very best and some presidential songs as well uh Katie Brown is GNA be over at Ryan's which is going to be crazy at school vacation week right it's cold it's school vacation week and if you're looking for something to do with the kids Ryan's in the mall has got everything for you from Bowling to activities for the kids and you can belly up with Sheamus at the bar have yourself a beer and let the world happen around you we've talked about this before but remember when Brian's was proposed for the mall everybody laughed yeah what a stupid idea no one's gon to come nothing's going to happen it's the anchor of the mall now yeah yep between that and the new theater that they're going to be putting in so the movie theater is closed right now just in case you're wondering for school vacation we're going to catch movie uh and they're revamping it it's going to be a real theater experience yeah so I'm excited going to do like real theater theater too shows yeah no that should be that should be fun I love the fact that that's just going to be 20 minutes away and don't get me wrong I don't mind going in visiting coutou Center for the Arts or heading to Province Town and taking a show we've got event TI that is around uh doing amazing Productions uh it's just going to be cool to have it centrally located now so that's kind of exciting uh I saw that Kennedy Center cancelled they didn't say why um I just got the news headline this morning and it didn't say why well they canceled um they canceled the gay men's chorus concert yeah and before that someone was going to perform and she cancelled oh um well there's a lot of controversy there because president Trump fired the Kennedy Center board and oh put in his put in his own member show we say yeah and um made himself chairman oh and that's not sitting well with people gotcha all right then so it's G to be interesting to see how it how this all plays out we won't get into it but I was just curious why it was canceled and you know there are other things that could be canceled at this point a lot of people with the flu right now oh I know it Mariana has been sick for like the last week yeah and I I was on a zoom meeting yesterday with a few people and they were like this really killed me yeah like for whatever reason this strain of flu is taking people out um I know one of our Artisans really got walloped with it I mean like on the couch not feeling great for two solid full weeks um so take care of yourself out there shake it it seems like Mariana you know she takes a Tylenol and some cough medicine and she's fine and then when that time period hits it's wearing off stops a little for K GH not fun not a great way to spend a a school vacation week my children are eating me out of house and home I have nothing I cannot keep food in the house fast enough Lily came home last night she was making ramen she's making something else she she febrary no no she's not on spring break yeah she just came home can I come home I know she wanted a homecooked meal so she made ramen so she made ramen follows she made the noodles from scratch she made her own noodles okay yeah they're still on my counter I don't know why anybody can't clean up after themselves but whatever just tell yourself we miss her yep no I definitely did miss her I was really excited to hang out with her yesterday I would miss this if it wasn't here what's up that I really like talking about White Lotus first opener very slow really I haven't watched it but I know you were exited kind of boring oh SNL was great the parts I sawed it yeah I mean I don't have patience for like three hours worth of anything except a baseball game but just a three-hour show it was like okay okay fine that's enough I I really enjoyed it I fast forwarded through all the nonsense I waited until I had a little equity in the show then I powered through fast forwarding through all the nonsense of the breaks because it wasn't truly it was live right it a true Saturday Night Live show because some of it was funny and some of it wasn't that's fair I did get a good laugh and I I loved a lot of the cast members that came back and uh rtb and I were kind of going over what our favorites were but I loved the Weekend Update with Bill Murray right in that portion I thought that that was actually clever I wished that they had done more of that with bringing back old cast members and kind of putting them into a the same continued sketch Dan akroy declined yeah to go on I heard he's not nice oh really I heard he's kind of kogin and grumpy uhhuh well he's getting to that age yeah he's got a place on the vineyard oh okay and uh his people deal with all of it oh okay he doesn't even deal with people so I mean I was surprised to see Jack Nicholson out there oh I know it I was like oh he is alive he did come out yeah he hasn't been anywhere lately no I mean I guess if you have all the money in the world and all the thing I I probably wouldn't go out either been there done that I've seen it all I'm good boring though would you want to see something again yeah Mari loved Paul Simon and Sabrina Carpenter I loved it also my friend at Mary Kelly did not really she was like I hate it he's old he shouldn't be performing anymore he's gonna he's gonna be in Boston in a couple of months I think I liked it yeah I mean you have to understand he doesn't have the voice he used to but still he could never sing anyway I mean darar fle could sing isn't that the best of Folk Music they couldn't sing anyway it was just the message right right Paul Simon had a limited range to start with yeah so it's a little less a little more limited than it was before that's it but he's not like Joanie Mitchell oh God no no one should allow Joanie Mitchell to be singing anymore like we had heard her I don't know where she came out of the Woodworks and did a tune and we were all like oh they shouldn't encourage her to do that no no leave your message leave your breath of work behind you those are the good days right you as you were exact show up give interviews talk about the good old days but don't don't see I saw that as um as every single star was in that audience for sure yes I laughed when I saw a story about Tom Holland Spider-Man Spider-Man was denied purchasing his own non-alcoholic beer oh really because he didn't have a valid ID which I had a good chuckle about I was like even for an NA so I just took my tip certification yesterday so I was like okay three hours I'm now tip certified in case you need a bender everybody um but like you have nothing else to do right you are getting your real ID though how's that process going for you well given that I've screwed up the paperwork I've needed a couple of times um we're ready to go today excellent I got my um I ordered my birth certificate from the Town of Arlington where I was born and lost it so I had to order it again and then last night we were putting our paperwork together and I couldn't find it it wasn't where it was supposed to be oh Hank your wife loves you yes she does thank goodness but we're all set we're not expecting any any any problems but see I've got I mean I used to I would my real name is Henry I've gone by Hank forever I'm also a junior so I'm I'm not sure what's going to happen today oh because I'm a Henry J Senate Jr everybody write that down if Cas I don't I think it's gonna be okay I think the paperwork that I have is the full is the full name and I I don't know why I ended up going through this relatively Easy by the way you need to get your real ID it's just part of uh being able to fly now by the way the word is Triple A is much easier than the registry it is I that's we went through triaa people at the registry are well people at the registry but the people at triaa are much easier to work with Mari says It's Not Easy Loving You Hank uh Nate I need to get my real ID because my dad and I are going to Charlotte North Carolina at the end of May excellent good for you yeah that is going to be the deal when flying now is you have to have your real ID so go through the process prepare yourself for the process y um but as soon as you get your passport it's just it's easier right we have to renew our passports yeah um I don't know where we're going to go well next year we'll go on a but other than that I don't I don't know if people are gonna be happy to see Americans they might be they they're happy to see our money I'll tell you that right now see our money I don't know for how much longer but yeah one of our friends said get trip insurance I definitely advise that for you we don't know what's happening in the world yeah so it's cold we've got gloves we've got hats and I saw that Woolen gloves for whatever reason are two times germier than a toilet bowl just a reminder to launder your hats and gloves if you've not done this what apparently Woolen gloves are two times dirtier than a toilet bowl how do you how do I mean you can't throw anything wool just in the washing machine can you you can throw it in the washing machine but then you have to like air dry it okay right otherwise you'll shrink it okay then it'll fit you know they'll be like little cat mittens okay but this is why people don't wash them cuz they don't know how to launder them right I don't have and that's why they end up being dirtier but I just saw that statistic and I was like I'm GNA wash the things that are in my hat and glove because we've just got a bin by the front door because the kids are all older now so it's always just a we don't often use them right we're not outdoorsy people by any means and and when they go out they don't wear right we're not dressing them up to go outside and play anymore right and they not wearing gloves and hats and coat half the time anyway I know well with the market I had had three or four sets of gloves and hats and whatnot just for the Christmas Market um that I've had for years and years and years but between my two children wearing them and breaking them now I have none I have none sets of anything so maybe I will uh not choose wool after I saw that statistic no probably not gross little bit gross I also saw that they had this new robot that they were designing for war mhm but I we haven't been to war in a while so now they had one be a resident DJ at a club I'm like oh if I had a robot to DJ for me I would absolutely love that not don't get me wrong I do like to DJ once in a while would you have enjoyed working with a robot better than some of the other people you've worked with yes okay yes not me not present company included I would have preferred a robot in the morning 100% much less of a pain I'll tell you that right now but people are declining AI uh new statistics that were out there right now 43% of Americans are against trendy AI whatever it is to do their jobs they're just not trusting it they're finding that the amount of work it takes them to go back and correct the AI yes is just prohibitive right to get forward well like writing writing ad copy you know put something in the house whatever whatever whatever and have ai write it and then you have to fix it well screw it I can write it myself yeah just as well yep and you know you know when something has been written by AI you can see it get spotted a mile away right it's too flowery it's it's it's too long it's just awful well the kids they have now every single one of the colleges and that's a lesson to you Mr Nate don't be handing in anything that's been written written by AI all your teachers are running it against to see if this is how much percentage written by a AI they can tell if if if your instructor has been around long enough not only can they tell that they can tell you if you've bought the paper somewhere they can tell if someone else has written it for you all the I always knew Professor Hank I always knew always knew yeah right you're like this did you write this because this is not this isn't you don't please don't you didn't yeah you can always tell did you call him out on it oh yeah oh yeah awkward yeah but you know because you know the person's personality yeah and you know how they are in class and then all of a sudden there's this brilliant piece of writing yeah there was a student I had many many years ago now who had a tutor who was helping her yeah and every time she handed in a paper I was like this this isn't you didn't do the tutor was the writer you didn't do this I'm sorry oh yes I did BL I mean I went so far as to start to take it up the line because I was so frustrated with it yeah and they all said oh well she's got a to or so like okay but this isn't her work do you understand that right yeah well I mean you got to pick your battles I think that that is I okay I'm not going to win well it's a conversation right now our classes are very very full right now I know that um several of our friends over at the Community College with free tuition comes everybody going back to school not everybody is a student NOP so that is definitely becoming a situation where there are a lot of people that are there um just because it's free right not necessarily because they want to be there right so I think that the first few years it's going to be like that yeah and you're not necessarily gonna pass just because you're there correct and you don't get reimbursed if you don't pass correct this is this is part of the conversation so I'm curious to see how many people will get their degrees from this free tuition this experiment right now and see where we're going to go from there just I'm curious I'm rooting for you if you're in this position and you're trying and you're struggling definitely rooting for you but you got to do the work and like you said not everybody it's just it's not for everybody yep exactly Cindy I don't wear gloves because they'd be gross thank you what's up Cynthia Denise thanks for that tied in with with what happened in uh California there's a there's a new company and they've essentially made made um Legos yeah to build houses I love it and they can build houses in like 3 days they're all very very blockish in everything yeah but the suggestion was they could go through some of those California neighborhoods and just build Y and they all everything they kind of like snap together yeah there are a few of them out there right now that are crowdfunding for sources at this point but yeah some of them boxable I believe is another housing um alternative where they can kind of set it up it's almost 3D printed yeah um that they can just really assemble this house in a matter of hours which is kind of incredible and and with the cost of material you know wood and all of that stuff this could be this could be a way oh my God I know everybody's griping about electricity costs and also for um natural gas costs at this point I think we spent two grand this month on both of those bills that was painful wow painful so we have uh the uh whatever the solar people there today I'm like what can we do can we get solar I've got a problem with my neighbor they're trees oh and that lot has been empty for a real real long time so I had to call my buddy at the real estate agency over there and say hey is this guy still your person can you talk about the trees please because I don't want to be spending $2,000 of my electricity thank you something's got to give yeah you've got a spot where you could where you would get some sun right I told cliff I'm like you're clever make a little robot guy out front that's out there collecting the sunlight I don't know what we got get it out there get splits and then you eliminate the whole thing whatever if I got to put a little windmill they've got those table things I've got to figure it out right somebody needs to get a little bit more clever as to how we're gonna get this done that's all yeah not asking for a lot increased cost has to do with the delivery charge yeah it's not the cost of generating electricity itself it's or the or bring or the gas itself it's the delivery charge it's getting it to the cape it's always been this way yeah the bridge tax yes the bridge tax makes no sense yeah that's why you can go to a gas station on on this side of the cave close to the bridge and gas is one price and you go right over on the other side into Buzzard's Bay and it's a quarter cheaper yeah right we are moving on over to Buzzard's Bay speaking of which oh places hi Lauren um where are you at with your entrepreneurial um contest that you're in right now I know that she was in first place for a while up for up for $25,000 of a grant wow I know so we were all not a Federal grant no no every my whole work is life has been frozen right now thanks listen we'll get the money eventually the the it's for the good it's for the right we're doing good things with it um but I'm curious if you are still in the first place position Lauren because you definitely deserve it you're doing amazing things right over the bridge in Buzzard's F definitely go for all places whether you're looking for a kids birthday party or just some activity for your mental health you can go paint something I'm not a painter by any means but she had me in there painting nutcrackers this season and I actually did enjoy myself wow and she threw me in 8s black light karaoke birthday party so we had a good time yeah thank you Lauren y um and you're never too old for that speaking of which Jane Fonda turning 87 years old wow she says I she does she looks great and she also says I feel younger than I have ever felt in my life I suppose you have less the older you get I suppose you have less to worry about right yeah I'm still working on that Let It Go Hank like your birth certificate wherever that is let it go let it go yeah I was in the town of Boro fairly recently because I had to get my birth certificate for something else I was good old that well it's it it was still out Bro went to town hall and now it was all my friends working at Town Hall I was like Katie I didn't know you were here dig out my birth certificate all the old ladies working in town oh yeah all the old ladies are now me that's true though you get all the old ladies working in City Hall and Holland yep it was it was pretty awesome to go in there I felt like it was a definite homecoming Birch okay I hope I know her I'm sure you do probably I'm sure you know her family take my mother to babysit yeah exactly I had one of them in high school of course hello Ally Michelle she does what an amazing human being to have in our community go Lauren very exciting Amina how are you I miss your pickles how are things we're still looking for a spot she was sending me some rental properties of this could be a Community Kitchen this could be a Community Kitchen if you're out there I would love to keep it in the town of mashby we are working on building a community kitchen if you've got ideas people that want to be involved in it we're looking for space great father Healey reached his goal to phase one right to well he's got he's he's had to change his plans but um the U the food pantry and everything else that um Christ the King he has raised enough money now to the food pantry yes and um do do a couple of other things I've seen the plans I've seen the project it looks absolutely amazing I'm excited yeah especially to have that here in Mash B and it's needed if you've never seen or if you're a need by the way Wednesday is when they run through the the pantry and now it's just a drive-thru you can drive through right right and they put the bags of groceries right in your car you don't even have to get out if if you're a little squeamish about being seen or something you know what it's just a fact that we have right now and you know the older we are then we're on fixed incomes and this is just a situation that the the cost of food is outrageous um eggs are going up and they're not stopping at this point so people are finding alternative ways to make things my boys like that was really painful I made brownies the other day from scratch and I just watched them swallow them like a a little penguin and I was so upset because like they were from scratch brownies I was like that that was like $10 butter and like five eggs in there they're expensive those those are $40 brownies those weren't Duncan hides killing me kids God almighty um they need to go back to school I'm ready it's time is that right no it's fine I'll miss it when it's over I know we will eventually get there uh we do have to shorten the show today just because I've got to get to work got a board meeting and things to do um it's tough being important isn't it important that's cute I'm just the punching bag I said I was going to get my new name tag director of everybody else's problems and just wear that that's what I am but if you need us over there at the mash P Chamber of Commerce we are working we have had so many wonderful inquiries for new members and people that want to get invol D we are doing a lunch and learn coming up so if you want to learn how to take better social media videos Ember marketing is going to be joining us their new young company um we're signed up we're both going I'm excited so we're going to be buying um lunch over at UA wine bar if you're a member and if you're not it's only 20 bucks for you to join us and have a lovely lunch with us I was meeting with UA yesterday she has so many plans to expand um they're working on their outdoor licensing right now and I know it doesn't feel like we want to be outdoors when it's 18 degrees out but we will eventually want to be have come here since pandemic really and have now stayed here uh-huh and that has been also a big problem with our food situation um also Stop and Shop looks like they're going to be um striking yeah so definitely put that in your plans of not that I'm trying to scare you with stock up and we're going to have flakes flying later on today so everybody's gonna run to the store for mil milk and bread uh I'm gonna have to anyway because my children are eating me out of house understand the people who are running to the store now so many of them they're not old enough to remember the Blizzard of 78 right so has this become like just just ingrained in everybody's DNA now I I think it's just one of those because it started after the BL 78 every time there a snow everybody ran had to get milk and bread and all this stuff and it's just it's a New England thing that's what we do we freak out for nothing plan for the worst and then you're prepared that's true if nothing else you've got something you used the toilet paper of we finally used up the rest of our pandemic toilet paper it's been 5 years guys how much did you buy talk to my husband my my garage looked like BJs for a while it was a problem we finally used it up oh congratulations but now he's like great now we have nothing now I got to order it again I was like it's been five years yeah you're good it's okay oh my goodness if you're wondering whose problem it was it was my husband's he he started it he was the problem himself so he knows he'll admit to it he knows he's the problem he knows he's the problem once again I got
